Once upon a time, there was a group of cats…
Lignin took care of the younger ones… she named them too when they were given stupid names
Tumblr media
She was sad and scared
Page was the youngest… so sweet and kind. He took care of Lignin because she couldn’t take care of herself
Tumblr media
He was too pure for the world
Then there was Quill. He was troublesome and fun. Always made everyone smile, even when he was the most annoying thing alive
Tumblr media
There seemed to be no end to his energy
And… Ink… he stepped in for Page when she couldn’t do everything… which was almost always…
Tumblr media
The others joked that there were hearts on his pelt because he had too much love to contain it all inside him
There was also a cat named Story
He was a jerk

Four theatrical posters for THE JUNGLE BOOK, each one for one of its four theatrical releases. One each decade. Original release 1967, and re-releases in 1978, 1984, and 1990.
I love how each poster kinda sums up each era in Disney's poster design, in how Disney's marketing department did these kinds of one-sheet theatrical posters over the years. The original '67 poster is not only very much like the other ones for contemporary Disney films and re-issues, but it is totally of its era. It just screams swingin' '60s, it lines up with some of the pop culture of its time. There's a real beat energy on that one. Though I am questioning Shere Khan's scale here in relation to the other characters.
The 1978 poster is a little more timeless I feel, as the film was now over 10 years old by that point, and some of its contemporary aspects became a bit dated. So that one focuses more on a singular scene than the colorful cast of characters, who are still there, but at the bottom around the logo. Much more subdued, but it's a nice touch. The 1984 one brings back a lot of the characters in full size, even the village girl at the end (I know, the Disneytoon sequel released in 2003 gave her the name Shanti), but also has that timeless feel of the 1978 poster. Very storybook on that one, the art style reminding me of those hardcover Gallery Books storybooks Disney made of their animated features back in the '80s and '90s. The "Disney Classic Series".
The final one from 1990 is that glossy, on-model look that came to define a lot of the video cover artwork of the era. Makes it look like it could be a newer movie alongside the Disney features coming out at the time, like THE LITTLE MERMAID and THE RESCUERS DOWN UNDER. Disney video covers, all the way up to the Blu-ray/4K days, have a tendency to go for this particular look, which starts becoming a thing by this point - again, mid-1990. The images would only get glossier and cuter and whatnot from there. Here in its early form, there's still - I feel - a fine balance between the actual vintage look of the movie and enough of a new sheen to it. The '78 and '84 re-issue posters, much like the Classics video covers from the mid-1980s, approach the subjects with more of a fine art execution, I feel.
Each poster also preserves, in some way or another, the art style of the film. The way the big leaves, the jungle foliage, etc. were all designed. So that remains. That's very cool.

Since it keeps getting brought up together with Nimona (which is currently free on YouTube and you should watch it a thousand times), I decided to watch Disneys Wish and,,,
I mean it's not an awful movie. I'm on the fence whether I'd call it bad, but it definitely is inadequate.
The movie refuses to commit to anything. The animation style is caught between storybook and refusal to let go of their 3D formula. The story has several beats it could play off really strongly, but refuses to engage with: The kingdom can't decide if it's a fascist state or a free land under a kinda wack dude. It can't even decide if the people there are happy or not. The dissonance in language is ridiculous, especially within the songs. Your villain song by the medieval king sorcerer should not start with "Peep the name" or randomly talk about genetics?? (I'm pretty sure they only included this so they could make a vague joke about his ass, since the line is "I got these genes from outer space", with "genes" sounding the same as "jeans" - which also have no place in the setting.) I don't think anything could have prepared me for the sucker punch that is a bunch of woodland creatures singing about being shareholders.
I also feel like the audio mixing during the songs is off, I think it's because it doesn't account for atmosphere and the acoustics of its locations, but I do not have a good audio brain. Someone else is more qualified for that.
There's a bunch of cinema sins level criticisms I could make about the story, like "why doesnt anyone outisde the kingdom learn magic" or "mathematically it makes no sense to assume every wish would be granted", but I think that goes against good faith criticism.
The movie also has a huge problem with showing vs telling. We have two characters dedicated to hyping up how much Asha cares for everyone, and within the movie she acts pretty much opposite to that claim. Similarly, we're told that the king clearly rose to this power and status by being so cool and charismatic, but every time he opens his mouth he sounds like a pseudo-intellectual twitter thread.
And don't get me started on the whole self-references thing. I'm normally fond of easter eggs like that, but these just shatter immersion into little pieces. There's a scene where the villain just describes the plots of three different Disney movies. Instead of giving the protagonist a distinct outfit, she spends half the movie wearing the Fairy Godmother's cloak. The entire movie's premise is just "When You Wish Upon A Star".
I do like the attempt at diversity, Asha's best friend using a crutch to get around is never pointed out as unusual and her friend group is presumably diverse in character and race. Unfortunately, I can only name two of them. I can't even tell you how many people the group consists of, that's how undefined they are.
I don't like shitting on a piece of media/art because even if it was created by a shitty greedy garbage studio to hit their ridiculous release schedule, there are always genuinely passionate artists involved in the production. It's a shame they didn't get to shine in this mediocre disappointment.
Anyway, go watch Nimona.

Questions for both operatoe and drifter Luncan.
Drifter!Luncan: Given he's with Bombastine, what is his opinion on Luscinia? Does he listen to the poison (badum tss) fed to him by Bombastine, or does he have some other opinion of her?
Operator!Luncan: What was his time in the Zariman like then vs now? Does he have any opinions on Tales of Duviri? What does he think of the Holdfasts?
For Lucan:
He knows well enough not to listen to what Bombastine has to say about other people, he knows exactly what the man represents. It is a bit draining for him to mindlessly agree even when he doesn't believe in it himself. Lucan does a lot just to avoid any unneeded arguments that are easily started with Bombastine.
Infact he kinda gets what Luscinia feels, as deep under his uncaring outer shell, he's quite depressed himself, more than happy to allow Lodun to beat on him as a form of self punishment for just existing.
For Luc:
During the school years he was a very fun kid, full of love and always wanting to be the class clown, enjoying making the other students laugh or just to brighten up their days. He had a loving family before the jump, friends he loved to hang out with. Luc was, and still is, the kind of kid that will talk to anyone, trying his hardest to befriend them.
After the jump he stayed mostly the same, at least on the outside. The events of the gave have definitely caused trauma, but Luc hides it underneath his friendly, happy-go-lucky outside. He wants to be seen as the strong one, who others can always turn to if they need help, while not giving himself the same treatment.
Luc really isn't the smartest boy, but his heart is big and secretly hurting. He's known to put himself in danger to try and use compassion to overcome issues with enemies, sometimes putting himself at major risk of being taken advantage of or betrayed / killed. (Like he's out here hugging the bone-marrow walls to try and appease Wally, which is probably Not going to work. )
-
Luc enjoys the storybook, I'd say he's totally a 'dragons are SO cool' kind of kid. He also likes the Holdfasts a lot, at least most of them. He sees them as a positive parental style of adult (which is really easy for someone to become for him, just show him care and he likes you very quickly). Though with Cavalero, Luc has a bit of a tougher time, feeling more like he could get scolded by Cav but respects him non-the-less.
Out of everyone he likes Yonta the most, which reminds him of his own mother before the events of the warp jump.

what you think about a Kirby game resembling BOTW/TOTK?
A open world Kirby game with inventory (collecting copy ability’s to use later),sides quest, skins (like the masks or armors of the spin-offs) challenges (like the ones in the forgotten land or the shrines of BOTW) and lots of collectibles
I once had a idea for the story of a game like that, the villains are all new species so all the old enemies (waddle dees,Bonkers, chilly, sword knights, etc etc etc) are the npcs you have to help. It would give a chance for the old enemies to regain that status of relevance they have kinda lost through the years and it would also help with how all the games are about dreamland getting invaded but half of the enemies are classic enemies from dreamland so I usually don’t get the “they’re invading dreamland” feeling but more like “they’re invading dreamland but for some reason the habitants of dreamland are stepping in Kirby’s way”
BOTW/TOTK had thousands of NPC’s with fun personality’s, many villages, wandering travelers and many more places so It would help to make dreamland feel more alive (also imagine the fanfic possibilities giving about making villages and city’s for the characters to be in like cappy town but with more species than cappy’s and with more original designs like waddle dee town, because I always felt weird about how all the characters seem to not even have a house and how they are just hanging out in the middle of nowhere), and exploring dreamland in a 3D game sounds like fun
I'm so sorry! I thought I'd already answered this one?!?
...What would I think?
I would LOVE it!
Now, blah blah blah, I don't necessarily think it's healthy for the game industry if everyone just on continues to copy BotW's style, especially if a number of Nintendo franchises start doing that, but TotK was SUCH a great time with the new mechanics and gameplay options! (Well, outside of THOSE certain Korok videos...)
Maybe I'm missing something (I, err, don't play as many games as I used to... Adulting...) but the way building and exploration were threaded into BotW's open world was so imaginative!
Rather than this just being a TotK praise fest though, I want to highlight something in Kirby that doesn't get talked about too. At least, as much as it should, and that's how great the level design/aesthetics are, almost across the board!
I'm sure people have seen their fair share of asset-flip games and in some cases, even the "beautiful (generic) semi-medieval landscape" is starting to feel played out. Whether it's so realistic you can count the blades of grass or totally toon-shaded just like my shows. We've seen them ALL dozens and dozens of times.
But Kirby's art direction... Sometimes, yeah, it's simple checkboard grass and whatever those weird cookies in the ground are, but you can't tell me you haven't you ever wanted to break past the stage boundaries and explore the world beyond at some point! (Literally people did this with FL's hammer exploit before it was patched!) Everywhere from PR's innovative mechanized landscapes to RtDL's storybook locales to Super Star's dreamlike vistas!
The good thing too is that so many of these beautiful scapes are made of very simple building blocks, so the environment-heavy gameplay of TotK would be a great fit! (Not to mention having a few more subsystems worked in naturally the way BotW did it. Fishing in FL was fun, but to see it expanded? To be able to fish wherever?!)
And the colonies of different Popstarians you mentioned would be a great way to naturally expand on the groundwork of Waddle Dee Town and Merry Magoland.  Helping a group of Noddies get some sleep? Working with Bonkers to clear new paths? Settling a dispute between the Fire Leos and Chillies? These kinds of open world subquests would be great for what I was talking about in my un-loved character post. Fleshing out some of Kirby's oldest cast staples! Yes, you nailed it completely!
And oh my gosh, the "Popstar gets invaded by an alien force but for some reason, you're still fighting Popstarians?" So.much.this.
I mean, okay, I think they probably did try to have some implied logic behind that in games like PR (if everyone's been mechanized, who knows how much control they have over their actions. Plus, plenty enemies were just doing things like "going to work") and Star Allies (you can blame a bunch of that on the Jamba Heart making everyone who wasn't already taken in by the Jamba group crazy. I feel like the novel did the same thing?) Same with Elfilis brainwashing people in Forgotten Land. You can read that into a couple of characters, at least. (Wild Edge, Frosty, Bonkers...)
But it does stand out a little with the earlier games like Triple Deluxe and Return to Dream Land, especially when you go back to them.
(Although I get the strange feeling it may have been written (??) somewhere that everyone in Popstar is SO laid back and easy-going, if they see adventure they just sort of... join in on it?? Like they might start climbing the Dreamstalk just because "...it's there" or go after Sphere Parts because "Hey, everyone else is doing it I guess?" and that's how they end up getting in the way/being enemies?)
Dess is someone who sees the "adventure" part of the game as light-hearted enough (because it's not like Kirby hurts anyone) that I don't get too shaken up if Waddle Dees et al remain as stage fodder going forward, but I understand those that want their longtime friends to stay as friends, not baddies!

Another Sonic twitter thread thing I saw but it's random questions this time
Tumblr media
There's nothing I love more than talking about Sonic the Hedgehog after all.
Tumblr media
I got into Sonic because when I was too young to even remember anything in any detail my family had a Mega Drive with Sonic 1-3, and I mean I played them a lot. I don't think I could tell you my thoughts on it then though because I was like pre-toddler age lol. Probably thought it was the coolest shit ever. As opposed to today where I still think that but like I'm way more autistic about it.
Tumblr media
Quotes and themes are different things and I also don't know if by theme they mean music or like thematic shit so uhhh. Uncertainty of intention means I'll relegate myself to just quote, which is hard - in a series with so many iconic lines how do you pick just one? But I do think "what you see is what you get - just a guy that loves adventure!" as well as "do I need a reason to want to help out a friend?" are both very good lines that portray Sonic himself very very nicely. I'll go with those. Not strictly a final answer and I could probably make a whole post on just this question, but we'll leave it on the two mentioned.
Tumblr media
Out-of-game I think Yuji Uekawa's adventure era artwork is my favourite, I think for in-game art styles I'm between Unleashed, Colours, and Mania.
Tumblr media
I'll keep it simple just make him and Mario have a fucking platformer crossover or even like an RPG or something, anything that's not the Olympics.
Tumblr media
You know my answer was very easily Live and Learn until Sonic Frontiers came out lol. Now it's Find Your Flame quite handily. Shit fucks harder than god.
Tumblr media
A couple different pieces of Sonic media have entertained the idea of Silver attaining some sort of like heightened state of power, like ESP Silver from Runners and I think he's in Speed Simulator too - I'm curious about how far along he goes with that. A much younger Josh who cared marginally more about power scaling was interested in the idea of Silver becoming the strongest character in the series even. I think there was an animation in the Lythero Silver Campaign video (I've been meaning to watch this but that's neither here nor there) showing base Silver fighting Super Sonic. I'm kind of interested in that. How far does base Silver go if he's that aforementioned ESP Silver or whatever. Can he thoroughly whoop the likes of Knuckles or Blaze eventually? Perhaps even Shadow or Sonic? We're going with roughly that.
Tumblr media
Of the 4 listed here I'd certainly say the OVA, it's just by far my favourite. SatAM has some props for its fandom significance but I find it boring, X has some props for being the most game-faithful but it's kind of crap, OVA is just dope. Even extending it to what's come out since I'd still stick with the OVA.
Tumblr media
I used to be able to reliably name a decent amount of Sonic fanartists but unfortunately my mind has consistently blanked on that front recently. Official as a qualification lets me get away with saying Yuji Uekawa though so we'll stick to that. Jack Lawrence's IDW art is also really nice, particularly in Scrapnik Island.
Tumblr media
I don't like blue shoes Tails at all lol. Like I think the argument amongst people that do like it is it makes him and Sonic compliment each other better but Sonic lacks orange on his colour palette so I just don't agree at all. Giving them the shared red is a lot more effective.
Tumblr media
For least favourite I could point to various points in Archie's history as well as Prime pretty confidently, and stretching it the likes of Chronicles and Underground and stuff but I'd need to play more of them. Favourite I've got the very simple storybook games and Unleashed answer, we've seen it all before, although Frontiers has a pretty great Sonic too.
Tumblr media
I don't want to skip any out of principal but also just so particularly don't care for Sonic ships that I've kinda got nothing here. I guess gun to my head I like Sonic and Knuckles' dynamic a lot but I don't need that to go romantic or anything so like, you know?
Tumblr media
I just want multiple playable characters from the get-go and all of them to be as fleshed out as Sonic is, really.
Tumblr media
There's definitely a lot of little things I can say but definitely the main one for me is less busywork tasks around the island. Pressing switches or parrying items or running in a hamster wheel, a lot of that stuff doesn't really play to the strengths of the gameplay, and I'd like them to work to correct and improve upon that I suppose.
Tumblr media
Like the entire Mania and SA2 and 06 and Unleashed soundtracks. We'll go Crisis City specifically.
Tumblr media
I have a lot of opinions on the Sonic series and its representation in Smash and that could also be a post of its own honestly, but just taking the question by itself I want Eggman a ton.
Tumblr media
"Limited to teams" is such a leading-question type approach to this, L. Anyway yeah no variety is good. I understand the desire to stick to the teams we know, and certainly I think it's important to get those core things down before making a game where Sonic, Charmy and Omega are a team - but yk the cast is so expansive that letting them bounce off of the more unique faces is fun.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They cooked.
Tumblr media
"Mainline" is quite the distinction here - I'd love to see more spinoffs handed to other studios even just to have spinoffs coming out, but I think for mainline I like seeing how Sonic Team evolves and where they're taking the series. I can imagine other studios making good Sonic games certainly, but that mainline clarification leaves me wanting to say nah honestly.
Tumblr media
I have a somewhat decent amount but I mean that doesn't lend itself well to this type of post. I still like my Sonic has some old shack on Christmas Island where he keeps random sentimental junk from his adventures though.
Tumblr media
Unleashed so easily it's not even funny.
Tumblr media
Comics and just external media in general being included actually widens the net a lot because Archie and IDW both have a ton of good stories (haven't sonic the comic'd yet sorry lol) and I adore the OVA too but once again I'd point to your storybook games, Unleashed in particular, as well as Adventure 2. The Sonic 2 into 3&K overarching narrative is also very effective despite how simple it is.
Tumblr media
Not an artist rip. Idk though the muzzle or something feels good to draw and harder to fuck up than the quills or something.
Tumblr media
Honestly I could think about this one for a while too, but I think the one that always comes to mind - and this isn't even so much a cherished memory as just a sort of unforgettable one that I always go back to and think is kind of cool - one day when I was a kid, my brother and I walked to our school that was less than 2 minutes away, at the door were told the school was closed that day because a thunderstorm the previous night had done some fuckery or whatever, and then we went home and had the day off. And the particular thing we did is play Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity for most of the day. We'd owned it for a while at that point but the Riders games are pretty complicated for children even when they're as streamlined as ZG was, so we never really knew how to play it and frequently came dead last against the CPUs. It was this day off school where we really grinded the fuck out of it and just, got good at the game. Won a ton of rings and bought new extreme gear with them and shit, it was just a really memorable day for whatever reason. It's maybe not the most special, but it's what comes to mind when I think of cool Sonic memories I have.
Anyway that's all lol.

Tokomaru as parents? I feel like they would absolutely spoil their kids. Komaru cause she’s the chill mom but especially Toko cause she wants her kid to live a happy childhood unlike her childhood
Y'know I had an old fic that kinda had this premise lol, maybe I should bring it back one day
Before they had kids, Toko and Komaru had lots of long talks about just the prospect of it. Toko didn’t exactly have great parental figures growing up, and she wanted to make sure she would be a good mother despite that.
Komaru is the more protective one of the two, which is surprising to some. She’s more subtle about it than Toko is, but there were times that even Toko told her to stop worrying.
Toko is the master of bedtime stories. Her child always looks forward to bedtime because that’s when Toko tells them the best stories. She doesn’t just read from a storybook; she makes up her own stories based on her child’s interests.
Though they share a similar parenting style- again something they discussed ahead of time- Komaru is more of a “chill” mom in that she’s more likely to say yes to certain things, despite her protectiveness.
They both work extremely well together as parents, and their child will grow up knowing how much their moms love each other as well as them. And that will never change.

i was tagged by @mell0bee 💖 and much like them, i did this tag at least a year ago so i kinda wanna see what's changed.
Are you named after anyone? My paternal grandmother, but also the storybook character Madeline. (I have a theme song :D)
When was the last time you cried? Uhh like this past weekend, reading the acknowledgements of All the Hidden Paths by Foz Meadows. I was really just skimming it but uhh I guess I was in a vulnerable place after the story that the acknowledgements cut in there and Got me lol
Do you have kids? no but i have a new baby niece who is the light of my life :)))
Do you use sarcasm a lot? I think I actually use it less than average. Definitely less than I did as a snarky teen. Just feels mean nowadays.
What sports do you play? none at the moment, but historically soccer, volleyball, and dance, and still enjoy casual frolicking of those styles.
What’s the first thing you notice about people? Hair. Since I cut mine, I'm constantly thinking about my own, so I probably notice their hair.
What’s your eye color? bluuue
Scary movies or happy endings? happy endings. this question no doubt feels like apples and oranges, but i've never been a scary movie person, and i do love a cheesy romance novel.
Any special talents? uuuhhhhhhhhhhhh i'm rly good at staying awake. i think. does that count. what even counts as special.
Where were you born? I'm a cali girl......... in a cali world........
What are your hobbies? lately: reading, writing, crocheting, giffing, and D&D. also sewing off and on but the stars have to like align in a triple planet retrograde or something.
Do you have any pets? nope
How tall are you? 5'5
Favorite subject in school? depends on the year you asked me tbh. think i'm gonna cheat and say theatre bc my college degree involved classes in playwriting, history, costume/lighting/set design, stage management, and literature analysis, not to mention actual stage production experience. (I did the same in high school on a smaller scale.) Ironically, I think my theatre degree involved more writing than my creative writing degree.
Dream job? I do not dream of labor. jk jk lol. but i've been actively evaluating how my concept of work and jobs and how it's so very directly attached to who you know or are adjacent to because there's so many niche industries and abilities and how versatile humans are and anyone can do anything if they want to and invest their time/effort/energy. (like who you know + your specific experiences, not in a Networking way, but just. a not knowing what you don't know way.) i want to do anything/everything which is my primary strugglebus re: Future Thoughts. My cousin blames on my rising sign (sagittarius). i also have a deep fear that if i do something i actually like for a living, i'll ruin all enjoyment of that thing. that being said, i'd like to publish a novel. and design concert/band stage lights. i'd want to work somewhere in the fiber/fabric industry if conditions were fair (& not outsourced). my current job (library book van) is actually pretty great, but i'd like to work inside the building eventually. idk man i have less a dream job and more 'honestly, i'll try anything. i'll try harder if there's a benefits plan.'
sorry if i repeat tag anyone and of course feel free to ignore me lol. i'm tagging @politedemon @crushpdf @waitingforarthur @voiceoftheashari @wellthatswhatithought

Okay SIT DOWN and I shall tell you why you should absolutely play The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince --
First of all, the art style. This game is GORGEOUS, with a children's storybook aesthetic and soft colours. The character design is cute, too! And surprisingly full of teeth! This is a game about monsters and their relationship with humanity, so even the cutest of designs are made to eat human flesh!
Second of all, the music. This game's soundtrack is lovely, filled with lullaby-esque songs and enhances the whole storybook feel of it. I can only count one track that got a bit grating on me (and even then, I still really like it), but for a game whose major plot point involves a wolf's beautiful voice, yeah this soundtrack really brings it!!
Third of all, the gameplay. It's a very simple side scroller platformer! Even someone with bad reflexes (like me) can make it through the tougher sections of this game! The puzzles are fairly simple as well, excluding one notable exception. Most of the time you are directing your partner through the levels and killing other monsters in your way and that's all this game really needs to do!
Also, there is a button to hold your partner's hand. And your player character smiles when you're holding your partner's hand. Never before has gaming had a more perfect feature included. (/jk) (only kinda)
Finally and most importantly, the story! Hoo boy, the story...
You are a wolf, a monster who lures her meals in with her beautiful voice. Every night, you sing your song from atop a hill and wait for your meal to draw in close. On this particular night, it's a human who is drawn in by your singing.
Strange, you think. But human meat is delicious, and so you prepare to eat this meal.
But then he starts clapping.
No one has ever clapped for your performance before. You're charmed by this. And so you decide not to eat him, to allow him to continue listening to your performances each night.
Through a cruel twist of fate, however, his eyes get gouged out. And so you run to the Witch of the forest to see if she can help you save your human friend.
And that's it! You, the Wolf, trying to lead your human friend to the Witch in order to restore his eyesight! There are some twists and turns here and there, but it is no joke when I tell you this story still pulls at my heartstrings when I think about it for too long. I adore the Wolf girl and her bid to save her human friend. She has to confront her fellow monsters over her desire to help him rather than eat him, has to confront her own claws in her friend's troubles, and along the way she realises she's willing to give up everything for the sake of someone who should be prey to her, just because he applauded her singing and told her she had a lovely voice.
Every cutscene is read aloud in a beautiful voice (though the audio only comes in Japanese) with each character coming through as if it's a simple bedtime story. It's a very cute detail, one I love, and again, adds to the whole feel of this being a children's tale.
Also the Wolf's design is PEAK. Four ears and four eyes AND hoof feet!!! I love her so much, she's so shaped and beautiful!!
Anyway. Please play this game. It's beautiful and tugs at my heartstrings and I love it so so much.

Hi! So I read your post about calling William's Final Problem plan a "self-insert Robespierre style fanfic". And I was just thinking about that William likes Shakespierre. And for some reason, going by this, not to mention his insering Sherlock into the plan; to me the Final Problem feels/seems like some unholy crossover between Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet. Or like elements of the two. What do you think?
You know, my dad once said William seems like "Jane Austen meets Jean-Paul Marat."
He's not wrong.
I am uncertain if William's stupid plan is specifically any story redux the way The Merchant of London was, but William is very seriously intent on the story and dramatics of everything, and yes, he does dearly love Shakespeare.
I do believe that William's obsession with story and narrative and the way the storybooks say things go contribute heavily to his complete misread of Sherlock and his lack of understanding of himself as a person.
There is a "Out Out Damned Spot" moment from William in The Final Problem, which is actually from MacBeth...
I suspect William probably doesn't really see himself in Hamlet very much because he identifies too strongly with the villains. But frankly, I always feel a little weird about people comparing William to Hamlet. Sure, he's a tragic protagonist (kinda), he's thoughtful and overthinking and is a little mad with guilt in his quest for revenge...? But William is much less a rightful revenge seeker--Hamlet didn't want to help anyone or change anything; he wanted revenge for his murdered father. It's a fair bit more self-focused than William is.
Accordingly, I don't know if he would see himself as a romantic figure (even a tragic one). Romeo and Juliet is ultimately a tragedy of circumstances on two foolish children who tried to save things, so maybe there's something of William in that but I don't think he would see it, exactly.
That's not to say it might not have inspired his plans anyway; Lord knows things I didn't expect or intend have ended up influencing things I've written in the past. But that's a heavy extrapolation and perhaps a little too deep in Watsonian analysis for me.
I feel like the major plot similarities between those two plays and The Final Problem are murders and suicide, which is so common in tragedy that in my opinion, it's entirely incidental. Similarly, the themes of fighting against circumstances for a better world and utterly ruining oneself are also so common in the genre that it feels like while it may have ben an influence, it's not specific enough to draw any strong connection.
Of course, Yuukoku no Moriarty isn't a tragedy. But it feels like one at parts of that arc, so.

Hello, just wanna start this off by saying that I love your art. I've decided to ask my favourite artists for art tips as I wanna get into it, but no matter what I do it never looks right. So, any tips?
HELLO TYSM!!! ngl i dont think im the best 4 this question im also kinda in a rut rn where im not really satisfied w my art n craving more progress and improvement but im getting there somewhat but very slowly! (ive been this way for a rly long time naow) this might be long but im gna try n throw in the things ik, sorry if my thoughts r messy im not the best in articulating stuff :')
i think a good way to start off is to find out what skill you lack the most or what you want to improve the most on, say for ex: u wna focus on getting better at composition for illustrations, then a good way to improve them is to learn about the composition rules (ex: rule of 3rds, etc), look for any scenes in films/animation or photographies and storybooks , study them and recreate it! go crazy !! ive done a study on a friend's picture before, and have asked my friends if i can use their photographies as practice!
looking for inspiration will also improve ur visual library, they can help u find what u wna put in ur art ! like perhaps certain color palettes or styles, it's best to look at different mediums of art instead of focusing only on one, sometimes u can find techniques meant 4 u! (ex: of this is my friend who used to be a watercolor artist, ive observed them using watercolor techniques when they were still new to digital art! basically mix n match whatever feels good/convenient 4 u :] )
disciplining urself is also good to have more improvement! i have trouble w this the most ever since bc its hard 2 focus if no one is like there to monitor u (in my experience), if u rly wna make progress u have to squeeze in some art practice time in ur schedule, it can be around 15-30 mins or even 3 hrs, completely up to you! (rmb to take breaks!). you can give urself deadlines if that will help n maybe timers too!
my prof always said "Proper practice makes perfect", so it's also best to practice with a clear goal in mind, take notes on the things u lack and if ur watching any art tutorials/speedpaints, take notes of those too! it's good to have something specific in mind so u wont get lost n u wud know what u wna do! it helps u retain info as well so u can look back on stuff, to avoid overwhelming urself u can just focus on small bits first, ex: in anatomy, u can focus on the head area first, break it down to drawing eyes and noses, etc! then u can move onto the torso area!
USE REFS!!!! make use of pinterest or any other refs u can find, cannot stress this enuf go crazyyy w references, make a moodboard full of referencess n go crazzyy w them!! i used to not like doing this bc i just head straight in to drawing bc thats what i was used to but art college trained me 2 use refs bc they help so very much, theyre like ur guideline for what u wna make so u have a clear goal in mind, also photobashing seems like a great practice too never tried it but yes it can help when ur planning an illustration/concept art!
^above also applies to art styles! go crazy n experiment w them!! i think its so very fun to explore diff art styles n not stick to 1, again this depends on u but having a different range of artworks is rly fun, u can go from very pastel soft colors n style, to smth very vibrant n sharp, to smth like dark n chalky-sketchy kind of vibe if im making sense T__T, basically go wild!! go crazy!! dont let urself sit in 1 box! hop into other boxes !! or wear all of them!! or poke holes in the box n add stuff to the box or wear a circle!! trust me it looks so fun if u put different artworks uve made side by side n go wow i did that!!
also create small thumbnails 4 illustration! its really best to plan ahead art too, as i said i used to just head straight in n not plan but ive learned to absolutely enjoy planning making art! collecting refs n seeing what kind of composition goes n what colors wud work is so very fun actually! it rly helps a lot
theres also this one post i lost the link, but basically it shows how much progress u can make if u make loose sketches vs full on rendered illustrations vs a mix of both, again this depends entirely on u bc things r different for everyone! i think that post is really good for teaching abt art progress (if any1 knows where it is pls do link!), i think focusing on sketches n practice is better tho bc it helps u draw more freely n loosely! i think that speeds up ur process more as well n doesnt make u lose interest immediately compared 2 focusing on finishing 1 big rendered illust (talking from experience) but then again its different for every1 so honestly just experiment n see what feels right for u!
i wna say tho that although it is good to make sure ur drawing looks right its also good to just let yourself draw freely, i think what matters is that u understood the structures of something and as long as ur able to apply that in ur own way i think thats gud! i think drawing freely helps u draw more fluidly? like having more expression is what i mean. ive gotten into the "i have 2 make this look right" hole before n i noticed it made my art look stiff, so highlyy recommend doing gesture drawing n life studies! rmb to have fun when practicing n learning,
dont pressure urself too much! enjoy the experience :] ! messy sketches r good!! not everything has to look good or perfect! my sketchbooks from way back were just doodles, pencil sketches no color mostly, theres an occasional lined one w markers , ballpen, n some highlighters, n my drawings were either smth funny that happened w me n frens with our personas or making ocs for my faves or ocs for me in general!
ur sketchbook doesnt have to look pretty its like ur diary but its art ykno! ur thoughts in visual form for the day! (again all up to u as long as u have fun! its all different 4 everyone!)
anw tysm again!! sorry if this was all over the place HAHSAW i tried my best but these r the tips i keep in mind most of the time or the ones i hold closest to me n that i try to apply as much as i cud! if u need anything else clarified just lmk! not the best w words but hopefully it helps :'')! most of the stuff i mentioned here i also need to take into practice HAHWHAW so mb its gud 4 me to write this down so i can finally push myself to do stuff,

deep dive character sheet
stolen from: ree and everyone else tagging: every. last. one of you
NAME: SAIN
BODY
height: 188cm / 6′ 2
strength ★★★★☆ (he's pretty big as far as knights go, trained under wallace, and likes to flaunt his build)
dexterity ★★☆☆☆ (the lower of the two skl stats for this christmas cav pair. he's also just got more of a wild style that relies on strength and charging to overwhelm foes as opposed to deft lancemanship)
health ★★★☆☆ (reckless, but not neglectful of his health. has put himself in harm's way to use as an icebreaker with women)
energy ★★★★★ (he literally makes genki noises. c'mon.)
beauty ★★★★★ (ugliness is almost never among a lady's complaints about him)
style ★☆☆☆☆ (caelin moment. i will say he's getting somewhere with the scarf but there's an entire support chain that talks about how uncool lycians dress)
hygiene ★★★★★ (uses cosmetic product and almost always smells like flowers)
SKILLS
perception ★★★★☆ (can be willfully ignorant if he wants to be, but generally very perceptive. especially in social scenarios)
communication ★★★★☆ (can and will talk your ear off but faces a boy who cried wolf scenario with regards to his actual feelings. they are so pronounced at times that nobody believes him when they really get serious)
persuasion ★★☆☆☆ (kind of a tough one because sain gets a lot of no's but he is damn persistent and can excel in other areas. docking one star for being in an unpaired ending)
mediation ★★★★★ (he's so annoying that any would-be quarrelers will drop their fight in favor of ganging up on him)
literacy ★★★★☆ (not a scholar by any means but poetry counts for a lot)
creativity ★★★★★ (always trying a new angle. always improvising)
cooking ★★★☆☆ (i'm pegging this as a budding talent. he's got it in him but hasn't had the upbringing to bring it out)
tech savvy ★★☆☆☆ (a little simple-minded plus prefers the natural world)
combat ★★★★☆ (he was named subcommander for a reason, and this is postgame sain who participated in battles against nergal and a dragon so. pretty good)
survival ★☆☆☆☆ (his one star is earned by thinking thoughts like "what would kent say")
stealth ☆☆☆☆☆ (loud + clunky armor + doesn't like staying quiet)
street smarts ★★★★☆ (as one who mingles with the townfolk a lot, sain has to be streetwise or else fall into some pretty dangerous traps. this is also his only claim to being a mentor to anyone)
seduction ★★★☆☆ (HE SUCCEEDS OCCASIONALLY)
luck ★★★★☆ (his series of life events is pretty fortunate if you look at it all in hindsight. also has the higher lck base + growth out of his cav duo)
handling animals ★★★☆☆ (his horse bears the unfortunate tragedy of having watched him develop into a womanizer and does nawt like him for it)
pacifying children ★★★★★ (he is like a storybook character to them and also a funny fool)
MIND
intelligence ★★☆☆☆ (his reputation as a dunce is definitely a little bit intentional but there is something seriously wrong with his emotional intelligence)
happiness ★★★☆☆ (subject to change as threads progress. presents as a 5 though)
spirituality ★☆☆☆☆ (isn't really big on either of elibe's major religious systems but knows enough to make allusions while flirting)
confidence ★★★★★ (yeah.)
humor ★★★★★ (yeah...)
anxiety ★★☆☆☆(something that gets a little worse with each rejection but has yet to make any impact on anything)
patience ★★★☆☆ (definitely more of a 'this needs to happen NOW' kinda guy, though that naturally changes when waiting for his beloved to say yes to him)
passion ★★★★★ (he hails from caelin canton, home to men of passion and fire)
nice         ☆★☆☆☆ mean (can rag on people and can be a snide ass if you're mean first (or boss him around too much; though kent is immune) but generally very pleasant)
brave       ★☆☆☆☆ cowardly (you will never hear the end of this quality)
pacifist   ☆☆☆★☆ violent (sain is a man of war at the end of the day, even if he appreciates peace)
thoughtful ☆☆☆★☆ impulsive (schemes sometimes and thinks when it is desperately required of him)
agreeable ☆☆★☆☆ contrary (this one depends on who you ask)
idealistic   ★☆☆☆☆ pragmatic (lost in a world of fantasy~)
frugal        ☆☆☆☆★ big spender (very prone to spending money. very.)
extrovert   ★☆☆☆☆ introvert (going out into town is how he recharges)
collected   ☆☆☆☆★ wild (it's part of his charm, or so he'll have you believe)
ambitious / possessive / stubborn / jealous / decisive / perfectionist
SOCIAL
charisma ★★★★★ (i know we all like to point and laugh at him but he is genuinely charming and funny. "much beloved by the citizenry" to quote fe7 directly)
empathy ★★★☆☆ (the sylvain forging bonds really made me rethink this one. sain has his moments)
generosity ★★★★☆ (goes hand-in-hand with his money-spending, though he is more vocal about his generosity being ultimately selfish)
wealth ★★★☆☆ (was paid pretty well as subcommander, though sain's accumulated funds quickly dwindled when he went rogue)
honest  ☆☆★☆☆ deceptive (not deceptive for malicious reasons but he is quick to bury any feelings that aren't pleasant)
leader   ☆☆★☆☆ follower (he was second in command so lead but followed at the same time. marches to the beat of his own drum but that drum is also simping for lyn)
polite    ☆☆★☆☆  rude (he can be either and it depends who you ask)
political ☆☆☆★☆ indifferent (pretty much holds the "all politicians are stupid and corrupt" belief. has lycia proven him wrong?)
BELIEFS
higher power ★★☆☆☆ (saint elimine exists sure but the only time he's kneeling and invoking her name is to flirt with a lady)
fate/destiny ★★★★★ (this is one of the cornerstones of fe7 and also a thing that gets brought up in numerous sain interactions. even if it sounds like he's just using fate as a sweet nothing i think a big part of him genuinely believes in every woman he happens across. hence why the letdown is always so great)
magic ★★★★★ (spells aside, sain bears witness to morphs, draconic resurrection, legendary weapons, and now--elementals)
soulmates ★★★★★ (everyone can be The One unless proven otherwise)
good and evil ★★★★★ (in a poetic justice sort of sense. knights are good, scoundrels are evil)
luck ★★★★☆ (personifying her as a woman is very on-brand of him)
PRIORITIES
family ☆☆☆☆☆ (i headcanon that he killed his father, and if he had any siblings or a mother in his life we would have heard about them by now. they do not matter to sain)
friends ★★★★★ (the lyndis legion are who sain lives and dies for. nothing comes before them...)
love ★★★★★ (...except maybe this one)
home ★☆☆☆☆ (now that it's been abdicated there's not much of a home to prioritize. one star for keeping its memory alive)
health ★★★☆☆ (he's reckless but he eats, exercises, and sleeps right)
praise ★★★★★ (especially from ladies. especially from lyn.)
justice ★★★★★ (he is a knight, after all)
truth ★★☆☆☆ (cares about honesty until doing so requires admitting to some ugly things)
power ★☆☆☆☆ (wants to look big and strong but actual power interests him little if the results aren't tangible)
fame ★★★☆☆ (sort of goes hand-in-hand with praise, but he doesn't care for infamy even if it seems to follow him)
wealth ★☆☆☆☆ (as long as he can live comfortably)
others' opinions ★★☆☆☆ (sort of. he's very aware of his reputation and doesn't change but he would care if his loyalty was questioned)

Made-Up Gym Leaders
So I was looking through some old files of mine and stumbled across these. I forgot I'd even come up with these, but I kind of like these ideas. One of those things, if I had more time and was better at imitating the Pokemon design style, I'd want to try drawing these characters to have a visual on them. But anyway, some Gym Leader ideas I had :
Flying - Audi (name basis, Audubon Society)
An elderly lady with grey hair in a bun, a decorative feather holding it in position. Horn-rimmed glasses, a kindly but spry look to her. White blouse with peacock teal shorts and hiking boots, a pair of binoculars hanging around her neck. Essentially a birdwatcher look.
Strictly uses bird type Pokemon, like, nothing that just happens to have Flying type, they're all definitely birds of various types.
A bit flighty (ha) and can get carried away talking about all the birds she's seen in her time, but not as "spaced out" as someone like Drasna, is pretty sharp and spry.
Gym Gimmick : Her gym is actually outdoors, set up as a nature hike trail. It's also a quiz gym, asking questions about bird Pokemon such as if you can identify certain footprints or other dex details. Trainers will still be eager to show off their bird Pokemon, but if you fail the quiz, you might get a harder fight as they think "Looks like you need to study more, but I can help with that!"
Rock - Cris (name basis, crystal)
Hippie type guy, unkempt hair and goatee with stubble. Very laid back look, wears various crystal necklaces, a brown leather vest with fringe around the bottom, a tie dye shirt with earth tones, worn jeans, and sandals.
His Pokemon tend to have a crystalline aspect to them, such as the Gigalith line, Carbink, etc.
Talks about the healing power of the earth, the voices of nature, very laid back in personality. Even in defeat is likely pretty lax about it and would say something like "Far out!" in admiration of your Pokemons' power. Likely would say something that might allude to being a relative of Mina from the Alola region, like a cousin or such.
Gym Gimmick : ?
Fairy - Mabel (name basis, sounds like fable / make believe kinda)
Kids' show host, probably in her early 20s. Light pink hair in a pixie bob style, cheerful expressions. Sort of fantasy princess look to her style of clothing, but notably has a cute dragon hand puppet that she provides a voice for. Her default "pose" for battle has her kicked back in an overstuffed cozy armchair, dragon puppet up eagerly, and a storybook open in her lap.
Narrates a "hero's journey" type story about the trainer as they traverse the gym.
Gym Gimmick : Her gym is actually the studio where she does her storytime show, her subordinate trainers being actors in different fantasy themed sets, like a witch in a forest, a knight in a castle, etc. If you pay attention to the story she tells, it may hint you on what your next opponent will use against you so you can prepare accordingly.
Dragon - Dyson (name basis, dice)
D&D style Dungeon Master. Dressed in a mostly modern style outfit, open jacket and jeans, but with a few accents here and there like a helmet, necklace with a D20, etc. He has fairly sharp eyes, focused looking, cocky grin. Perhaps kind of a faux fur collar on his jacket for style.
Has a flair for the dramatic, liking to build up battles in his gym as great fantasy setting encounters.
Gym Gimmick : Gym is set up like a Fire Emblem style tactical game. Battles have special gimmick rules, such as if an area is marked as a certain "terrain" type, different effects can happen in battle like weather or one of the terrain style effects. If you approach a trainer from behind, you start the battle with a free turn for "catching them off guard," but the same can apply if a trainer catches you this way.
Psychic - Tara (name basis, tarot)
A fortune teller wearing a black hooded cloak with golden runes along the trim. Her hood keeps a bit of her face in shadow, though she has sharp lavender eyes and a long violet hair braid that spills from her hood and down her side. Has a cozy looking velvet sort of outfit under the cloak, a burgundy top with black leggings and thick tan boots.
Has an aloof way of speaking, as though fate is decided and she's just there to play her part. She is however rather philosophical about her tarot readings, introducing herself by saying "My personal reading today… it spoke well of my fate here… Let us see…" Upon losing however, she amends this with "A reading, however, is not assurance. It is merely a guide and it is ours to find the way…"
Gym Gimmick : ?
Normal - Reggie (name basis, regular)
A store clerk. Clean cut light brown hair and a friendly face. White work shirt and khakis with a blue store apron. Tends to have a friendly smile, though it does become a bit more of a strained "customer service" smile for his losing animation.
Very service oriented, upon encounter he even asks if you were able to find everything you wanted today.
Gym Gimmick : His gym is in whatever city in the region happens to have the huge size department store, his gym actually being IN the store. Your bag is sealed while in the gym, and instead you're given a shopping cart. Certain areas in the gym have "Free Sample" kiosks where you can get items for use in the gym. Defeating trainers in the gym gets you coupons you can use at kiosks to obtain extra items.
……Kinda jokingly want to have a Beauty trainer in the gym that's very rude and demanding when you talk to her, and turns out her name's Karen, haha.
Bug - Nadia (name basis, needle)
A tattoo artist with a punk aesthetic. She has a yellow and black mohawk themed on Beedrill, and a green vest worn over a black half top. Has spider web sleeve tattoos.
Rough personality, confident style. Respects you as a kindred spirit upon defeat, can respect your power.
Gym Gimmick : ?
Steel - Victoria (name basis, Victorian style)
Wears a steampunk aesthetic outfit, complete with top hat and a tailed jacket. Overall a brown with bronze trim theme, gear and cog accents here and there. She has blonde hair with a silver streak, worn in a ponytail.
A refined yet excitable personality, eager to test your abilities, delighted even in defeat as it was an impressive showing.
Gym Gimmick : The gym is a tower, each floor requiring you to reassemble pipes to carry a flow of steam to power an elevator to the next floor.
Grass - Dr. Basil (name basis, holy basil, a medicinal herb)
A medical doctor, studies the medicinal properties of herbs. A bit of a gaunt, serious face, glasses. Stubble from his hard work life, though his hair is nicely kept. Wears a doctor's coat, tends to keep his hands folded behind his back and poses slightly hunched over.
Fairly serious and methodical. His comments during battle tend to be on the analytical side. Possibly a descendant of Tao Hua from Legends Arceus, similar thus in appearance.
Gym Gimmick : ?
Water - Porter (name basis, port)
Captain of a luxury cruise liner. Wears a crisp white captain's uniform with blue trim. Smarmy sort of grin, well trimmed mustache. Possibly tends to carry a fancy glass of (ahem) vacation juice.
Fairly posh attitude, proud of his vessel and the services his cruise provides. Overall fairly jolly, sees even his battles as providing entertainment for passengers on his ship.
Might make reference to the captain of the St. Anne and his struggle with seasickness.
Gym Gimmick : The gym is on his ship and may sort of feel like a combination of the St. Anne and the abandoned ship from the Hoenn games. As you traverse the ship, dipping into the different rooms to challenge trainers, you'll find keys to other cabins and areas. Upon finding the Captain's Key, you'll be able to enter Porter's room to challenge him.
Ground - Cheval (name basis, shovel)
Super into geocaching. His outfit is perhaps similar in style to BotW Link's climbing outfit, but more decidedly modern, patterned bandana, sleeveless top, cargo shorts. Has a shovel he usually poses with held across his shoulders. Shoulder length dirty blond hair worn in braids, tanned with freckles from being out in the sun so much.
Has an encouraging personality, though can be a bit antsy, always after hunting the next cache.
Gym Gimmick : Gym has a rocky and natural look. Each room has a hidden button you need to step on to open the way forward. Defeating trainers will give you hints toward the button's location, but alternatively if you're good with it, you can use the Itemfinder to track the buttons down.

Could you do a match up for me? Wednesday, please! Thank you 💜
Appearance: I'm short, 5'3, but it could be worse I guess lol. I've always been referred to as "petite" but I'm pretty active so I have a little bit of muscle! I have dark brown, curly hair that reaches my shoulders and green eyes. I have naturally rosy cheeks and freckles (much to my dismay). Unfortunately without my glasses my astigmatism makes everything a blur, but my glasses are black and green, and I've been told they make my eyes look even more green. I'd say my style leans somewhere along the lines of grunge/alt, but casual if that makes sense.
Personality: INFP. I'm an introvert at my core and it takes me a minute to warm up to most people, and some people I just simply never warm up to but I try to be polite. I'm kinda shy, I suppose. I try to be nice, and I often do nice things for people just because I can. I just feel like it doesn't really cost much to be generous in basic scenarios? Like, buying somebody coffee or sharing food. Sometimes it perks people up and I like seeing that. My sense of humor is definitely more dry and sometimes I have difficulty catching onto other people's jokes, but I try. I'm not one to party or take part in large groups often, but when I do it's usually with people I feel most comfortable around.
Once I get really comfortable around somebody I'll admit I never stfu. I get chatty and will talk endlessly if given the go-ahead. Love languages (romantic and platonic) definitely fall along the lines of gift giving/receiving and acts of service. I enjoy helping people I care about, even if they insist that they're fine on their own. Even if that means something as simple as offering reassurance.
Hobbies: I like playing cozy games; like Stardew Valley or Story of Seasons. I also like storybook games when I'm feeling a little more lazy. I'm also a fiber artist! Crocheting and loom knitting are things I like to do while binging shows/movies. I've also taken up writing as a hobby recently but I'm not really that good at it yet lol
Hi there, sweetie! I really hope you like this a lot!
Wednesday (Netflix) Matchup
Your Wednesday (Netflix) soulmate is...
XAVIER THORPE!
Tumblr media
He would definitely like the fact that you buy coffee for him, it brings a smile to his face and tried to do the same thing for you too.
He would play those kind of games for you and he would love the animation of the game because it is so different and amazing to have a look at.
The two of you would like to try to draw something together as a pair because you guys are each other's muse a lot and also you like to have fun while doing it!

💡🎤📉 for the sonic asks?
💡 Spinoff you'd like to see?
Oh that's REALLY tough honestly.... I don't know if this counts but i would love them to pick up the spinoff storybook games again and make that 3rd game at least-- those games are so much fun and the stories are so strong. If it had to be a totally original thing then.... either a modern smash bros style sonic game (either 3d or even a 2d fighter w 2d animation would be incredible), or any spinoff game with someone whos not sonic as a main character-- probably tails-centric, but silver, amy, or blaze would all be grest candidates. The ending of frontiers REALLY opens things up with a tails or amy-centric game and honestly as much as i love sonic it's always a lot of fun to explore the other characters as well.
🎤 Favorite Vocal Track?
choosing one is just impossible to me, but Breaking Through it All goes INSANE and all the frontiers titan tracks made my jaw actually drop in wonder they go so damn hard. Next to that, All of Me, Knight of the Wind, and Endless Possibility are ones I've always loved. I think This Machine and Team Chaotix deserve more love though.
📉 Underrated Character?
Ohh this is tough... cause honestly i think there ls very loving fans for almost any sonic character. Even my more obscure favorites like Shard get a lot of love already. Obviously Elise and Big get way more hate than they ever deserve... well I guess Fiona Fox since i just mentioned her a while back? Everyone reduces her to 'scourge's girlfriend who cheated on sonic and slapped tails' (which was all part of a really bad and weird love triangle thing going on) but i think her motives, story, and general personality are very insteresting, especially out of the usual cast of girl sonic characters. There's only like... 2 girl sonic "villains" in the games and both have been kinda redeemed, so its always nice to see a sonic girl who just... isn't nice, and is just overall a bad person. a kind of burning building of a girl (though archie doesnt really delve into uer potential either so i can understand people being lukewarm on her)

19 September 2023 “But He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, “Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!”” ‭‭[Luke‬ ‭8‬:‭25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬]
A faith, vent, grieving and a comfort piece. I made this when I was dealing with the loss of a 4 year relationship and struggling to stay in college. More about the art aspect, I was going for a children storybook style, like those line-less and textured filled/crayon or colour pencil looking texture, kinda like traditional media textures. Im very proud how it turned out till now, looking forward to make more similar stylised piece like this •ᴗ•
