Now, I know this ask is getting pretty lengthy (sorry about that ^^" I tend to ramble) but I was going through your Yan!Dilf works again and I wanted to ask, how would Dominic react if his darling was someone who's maybe dealt with manipulative people in the past or is highly emotionally intelligent and observant who could tell he wasn't being entirely genuine? But instead of pulling away from him they try to understand what he wants from them and was open about it? Would he ever even become obsessed with someone like that or allow that kind of situation to happen or is he too cautious for it to be possible?

Today's the anniversary for me! ✨

I know the Mario Movie was released on April 5th 2023, but back then I was seeing the Holy Week processions with my dad, so I didn't get to go to the cinema until April 8th, which was a Saturday, and that was when everything changed for me 😌💚❤️

This is going to get a bit long, personal and emotional, so it's totally fine if you'd rather not read it! 💖

As I've mentioned, this movie saved my life simply because I was in a terrible place when it came out. Admittedly, I had been feeling a bit better that week thanks to the fact I was going out every day and was distracted and such, but my mind was still not totally... fine.

Until, at 8PM, the Mario Movie finally started and I spent the next hour and a half with a silly smile on my face, feeling like a little kid again and experimenting lots of feelings and emotions I hadn't felt in many months. Happiness. Joy. Laughter. A warm heart. Tension. Pure emotion. Excitement. Nostalgia. The urge to cry, though not from sadness.

And the need to get those cute brothers off the screen and give them each a big bear hug.

Mario and Luigi did really save my life. I had already fallen for them long ago, when I was 13 and played Superstar Saga on my GBA, since that was the very first game that made me see these two as endearing and charming characters with a beautiful sibling bond based not only on love, but also trust, laughter and comfort.

And, in all honesty, seeing this movie, seeing that bond translated into it, was totally a dream come true. Aside from the M&L games, we don't really get to see much of these two taking care of each other (please correct me if I'm mistaken!). Also, I'm a 90s girl, so I had been wanting a good animated Mario movie since... I honestly can't remember. All I know is I used to watch the cartoons (specifically the one based on Super Mario Bros 3), and then I ran into the live action movie from 1993 and... Welp. Let's just say I'd rather forget it 😬 (Sorry if you did like it, it simply was NOT my cup of tea.)

And then this movie was announced, and every new trailer made me feel more and more hyped, and reminded me of my love for the Super Mario franchise. I had already been hyperfixated on it back in 2013-2016, when I played Dream Team and fell even harder for them (especially Luigi), and when I finally got to see this movie, that obsession came back stronger than ever.

I felt like a little child again. I went back to play my old favorite games. I listened to the ost on loop for months, and it ended up becoming my most listened album on Spotify last year.

And I also felt the urge to write again.

Writing has always been an important part of my life. I started at 8 and I simply couldn't stop. To me, it is like breathing, so when I spend some time away from writing, I'm not exaggerating when I say I feel a physical pain on my chest. And due to the bad place I was in, I had been away from it for way too many months.

It turns out all I needed was a dose of brotherly love in order to feel my fingertips tingling again with the urgent need to start writing.

So yeah. There are many things I have to celebrate today and to be thankful for. First of all: I'm alive, and happy, and better than ever, still struggling with anxiety and fears but feeling way better than I'd felt in the years before this film came out. I feel emotion, and joy, and will to continue living and enjoying life and fangirling and being myself. I feel connected to Mario and Luigi and my heart simply warms up every single time I think about them (which is 24/7 tbh).

And I'm writing again! 2023 was the year I've written the most in my entire life, and I owe it to this wonderful movie, and so far I've continued to write this year too, and that's also thanks to Mario and Luigi.

And of course, and more importantly, this film has led me to meet all of you, beautiful people, and I honestly couldn't be more grateful 🥹🫂💖 With you I can fangirl and scream and cry and be myself, and that's why I felt like sharing this with you guys, because I know you understand and share the feelings I've experimented these months since I first saw this movie. I love each and one of you with all my heart 💖💖💖

And after talking non-stop, I believe I kinda feel like finally showing my face here (the real one, not this one 😂), so... Here I go! 🤭👇

The blue is for Toad, the pink is for Peach, green and red for Luigi and Mario (obviously) and black for Bowser since he was played by Jack Black! 😁

Admittedly, I'm not very good at painting my nails because I'm not into makeup and such, but I do like to see them all painted, I think they look beautiful 🥰 Last year I used to paint them red and green all the time since I went not once, not twice, but thirteen times to see this movie, and every time wearing a different shirt 🤭 Though the one I'm wearing today is the one I wore exactly one year ago, as you can see here! 😁

I literally cannot remember when or where I bought it, but it was simply PERFECT to wear to go see this movie 😁 And you bet, when the Toad guard said that quote from the first Super Mario game, I went all silly in the cinema: "OMG my shirt!!!!!" 😂😂😂

I may go and show them all together in a different post, and maybe also the earrings since I own a lot: red shrooms, superstars, fire flowers, green shrooms... Would you like that? 🥰

Now that I see it, I look a bit scared on the first one 😂 The green shirt I'm wearing on the second one is pure GOLD, and on the third one I kinda felt like I was taking a picture with Mario himself 😂😂😂

I did own some Mario merch before the movie came out, but last year I went and bought tons of it, including shirts, earrings, and of course plushies! 🤭

They look like a cute little family OMG aren't they ADORABLE I love them all so so much 😭❤️💚✨

So this is it! This is my little celebration of the first year since I saw for the first time the movie that saved my life 🥰 In all honestly, I would've liked to bring a fic or something, but as you all know, I went through a very hard Holy Week and I'm still not feeling totally ready to get back to writing (even though I've gotten a couple new ideas, for which I'm deeply grateful).

But I hope sharing my experience and feelings (and my face! 😂) is enough for this year, and let's hope I can bring a new Mario story to share with you guys very soon! 🥰

💜Dr. Cortex + R. Marie Wedding Headcanons💛

This ended up getting pretty long but here are a few headcanons that my half-awake brain could scrape together >w< Give it a read if you like, and it's ok to reblog as well! 💜💛💜💛

First of all, no question in my mind that Cortex would be a TOTAL control freak with the wedding. Dare I say, a bit of a bridezilla 😂 I just imagine him barking orders at assistants throughout everything, even on the days and weeks leading up to the wedding when preparations are still being made

Our venue would be one of the halls of the castle, maybe even a ballroom if there are any

For wedding outfits, R. Marie would have a white tuxedo with black accents and have her hair put up. Cortex would have a poofy dress with a similar color scheme, white and black accents, and would definitely have a lot of sparkle to it. He enjoys the flashiness on our big day, I'm sure uwu

Although our guests would mostly consist of the assistants who work under us and are required to attend (lest they be met with consequences), all of Cortex's mutant animal children- er, I mean henchmen, would be in attendance of their own volition. I like to imagine Tiny Tiger being the one to walk Cortex down the aisle, he is daddy's favorite after all 💖

N. Tropy, N. Brio and N. Gin would also be there by choice as well, altho I'm sure that N. Brio was one step away from not showing up. N. Gin would probably be bawling his eyes out, but only because he wishes he was the one marrying Cortex 😂

When it comes time to deliver vows, they would be ones written out ourselves. I get a strong feeling that Cortex's would end up getting a bit flowery in wording and long-winded, and maybe focus a bit too much on himself, but the important thing is that the love would definitely be felt, and the joy in his voice would make that love more than obvious as well.

R. Marie, on the other hand, would be a bit more stoic; ever the professional, she would read out her vows as if she were delivering a presentation, but that would 100% be just a facade to keep her cool, because on the inside she'd be doing FLIPS about everything going on that day. That facade of hers would slip often, of course, and no time being more apparent than when she makes the mistake of looking up at Cortex during the reading of her vows, and realizing that her words have become caught in her throat 💖

Once the vows are read and the rings are presented (a shining gold ring for R. Marie and dark onyx ring for Cortex), it would finally be time for the two to share a kiss and seal the pact forever. That kiss would be a rare one for the two, as it would be gentle, slow, and quiet; it would be one for savoring, for taking in the moment, for taking in each other.

As the two pull away, there wouldn't be any words exchanged, or even any extreme expressions- just a general look of joy and bliss on both of their faces as the fact that they've become linked in matrimony, binded for life and even beyond it, fully sinks in for them. And both of them realize, they wouldn't rather be anywhere else in that moment. 💜💛

Maril thinks hard about the cast of characters she's met in her life and the complicated nature of some of their existences and meetings. "I have.. I have another answer.." her voice softens in a way rarely heard by others. "It's.. I don't know.. I suppose there's some debate about how real some others consider him.. but.. Tron.. my dear friend, Tron.."

Random Fact:

💙 – Maril fell in love with gummi ships growing up, all thanks to Cid! It became her dream to be the best gummi ship mechanic across the stars. Besides learning from Cid and Geppetto, she also became Chip and Dale's apprentice when she first sets off from home. As the story progresses, she helps make advancements in other gummi tech beyond the gummi phone. Kind of related but I won't get fully into it now: when she finds out what CLU did in The Grid and is forced to face Rinzler, she becomes very devoted to attempting to save him and fix his code.

1. My first impression of them

Honestly my first impression (from seeing promo images and such posted on this very website!) was something like “Whoa. Clashing colors much?!” So I guess you could say it was not the best 😂

Obviously I got over that, but I did learn recently that trying to apply his color scheme to any other character is still quite a shock! ROTFL Click for proof if you dare!

The rest is cut! For! Spoilers!!!

2. When I think I truly started to like them (or dislike them, if you've sent me a character I don't like)

The first time I watched Appmon, I felt like basically the whole first half of the series was a bit of a crapshoot, quality-wise (not in terms of the animation or anything, but how I felt about it). Like, if you tried to graph my enjoyment of each episode right after I watched it, it would look like a jagged mountain range. The first episode was ok, the second episode was “eh,” the third and fourth episodes was pretty good, the fifth was back to “eh,” etc. I don’t know, pacing and tone and kind of unsympathetic character introductions and it just being “different” were all things that were working against it at that point in my mind, and made me wonder what the writers were really trying to do (honestly, what REALLY sold me on watching Appmon at all was @firstagent’s pitch at a con, which explicitly plugged Offmon and Yuujin’s dynamic!).

(I should say here that despite those rough beginnings, Appmon is probably my favorite Digimon series now, so yeah I take time to warm up to things sometimes but the right combination of factors makes me fall and fall HARD)

All that said, I know exactly when I really start to like Haru, and it was during the third episode (the dungeon one with Roleplaymon). He’s just so excited and happy throughout, while also being a complete nerd, and instead of a big Appmon fight at the end (well, being unable to have one due to an evolution whoopsie), he just talks to Roleplaymon… and it works. That felt kind of revolutionary, and it was the episode that I started to not only understand his character, but (maybe) gain a bigger picture view of the series and what the show was going for. This episode just crystallized a lot of things for me.

Me after episode 3: Haru is kind. Oh, and also he’s my son now, I want to see him grow up strong, I WILL keep watching FOR HIM actually (best decision ever!!) 💖

Oh, he’s definitely going to be an AI researcher, that much I believe! One who is very literature- and ethics-minded, and thinks a lot about what what “existence” means, and is hyper-aware of beings’ rights and the need to advocate for both humans AND AI, in a world where both appmon and general artificial intelligences actually exist. These beliefs are the cornerstone of his work, regardless of what he actually does with AI. Would he follow in his Grandpa’s footsteps in being an academic designing his own? Maybe borrow a page from Koushiro Izumi’s book and start a company? Or go the Susan Calvin route and become an AI psychologist? Any! All! Idk 🤣

Honestly, so much else about specific future headcanons depends on how you interpret the very last moments of the series (literal or symbolic), and for me it could go either way. I really like interpreting it as literal, if only because it’s such a great hook into the nebulous Appmon Season 2 that exists in my head. Yuujin’s back, but how? Cue mystery and more Appmon shenanigans.

Regardless, I’m most interested in the future where Yuujin comes back in some form at some point during Haru’s lifetime, and no matter how, when, or why that happens it’s going to be a joyous occasion, but also a bit of a rough transition. Yuujin may have changed. Haru may have changed. There would be a LOT anxiety about “is this ok?” and “how do you feel?” and “what does it MEAN that this is how you feel?” and “what does ANY of this mean for us as individuals, and us together?” because it’s all very complicated when you bring the android that was programmed to be your best friend and your ideal version of a person back to life. Is there even a happy ending out there for them? Again, for me it could go either way.

So yeah, a bit rambly, because to me there is no one answer I could ever 100% decide on. They’re all possible. And that’s kind of the great thing about the vagueness of the ending! I will say I like drawing them in happy-ending mode best though, even though I would probably write their future in a way that involves more drama, because it’s way more interesting, and nothing in life is ever that easy (I’m rooting for them though!).

💚-- General

Kinana is an amazing cook and loves making Erik's favorite foods for him. He is so touched by how she always remembers what foods he likes best and makes his favorite meals, and he takes it upon himself to try to return the favor. He knows many of the foods Kinana likes but also asks some of her friends for suggestions in case he's missing out on any; then, with the help of some of his friends in Crime Sorcière, Erik practices cooking the dishes so he can prepare a special meal of all of her favorite things. He's not nearly as talented a cook as Kinana is and has a couple of failed attempts, but in the end, however, he does become a fairly decent chef and gets a surprise Kinana with her special meal. She's so shocked and touched by the gesture and, to this day, swears it was the best meal she had ever had.

💝-- Future

After they have married and have decided they are ready to raise a family together, Erik and Kinana choose to retire to a quiet life in countryside, and they live out the rest of their days together on a big farm with their many children (both biological and adopted) who they love very much. There is never a dull moment in their house from the laughter and misadventures of their often rambunctious brood, the chaos of lots of animals their kids have a tendency to bring home as "pets", and the unexpected visits of their Crime Sorcière/(Former)Oración Seis and Fairy Tail found families. Though they always make time to spend together with their children as a family, they go out of their way to spend time just the two of them as well--even if it's just doing household chores around their home together. For instance, Erik always loves to do dishes with Kinana because she'll hum (absentmindedly/without realizing it) while she washes them, and he thinks this is adorable.

[A/N: My sister and I have this running joke that there is always that one ship that you can just imagine settling down in the country and having a big family and life of domestic bliss together, and I've always felt from the minute this ship was even hinted at that they were that ship in Fairy Tail. Kinana often gets cold (perhaps a symptom of all that time she spent as a snake), but as a Dragon Slayer, Erik tends to be fairly warm so he will often cuddle up next to her, wrap his arms around her, and pull her into his chest to warm her up. When they are out walking on chilly days, he will always give her his jacket, and in the winters, they love to curl up by the fireplace together.

Bonus (completely unrelated but I think these two deserve more fluff): For Erik's birthday the first year they are in a relationship, Kinana knits him socks little snakes on them. He loves them, but he only wears them on special occasions so they won't get worn or ragged. It always brings the brightest smile to Kinana's face when she sees him wearing them though. They are their children's favorite socks too, and Kinana eventually makes matching pairs for their whole family (though they are all slightly different). One year they get a family picture taking of them all wearing the matching snake-patterned socks, and it has been hanging up over Erik and Kinana's fireplace ever since.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica - The show that started my and my friends 3 episode rule! You must watch 3 episodes of an anime at least to determine if you want to keep watching or not. The first 2 episodes of this show were cutesy and not too much was actually happening. And then episode 3 came in like a wrecking ball and turned this magical girl show on it's head! It was sooo unassuming and good and the music had a big influence on that too, and magical girl lesbians also helped! This show is the definition of, "I would burn the world for you!" And the main artist of the show, Kalafina, a beautiful Japanese women Gothic singing group, is just icing on the cake!

Ousama Ranking - Such an unassuming show with the protagonist being a deaf and mute Prince, who has his rightful place as next in the line for the throne stolen from him! I love this show and the characters and music are a big reason why. The second opening of it is still probably my favorite opening song ever!!! Please everyone at least watch this video if you see this post!! 💖

Yuri on ice - This show was one of my first big obsessions and I am so sad that there are still only 12 episodes and nothing else 😭 An Ice Skating anime that follows a Japanese figure skater as he struggles to get past his self-confidence issues so he can perform on the ice. This show has a fantastic cast of diverse characters and an exceptional soundtrack, as most characters perform 2 different routines and that means they need a song for each of those! I have to post the original opening for this!

Zombieland Saga - Despite what you might think from the name, this show is about zombies, but they are a group of zombie girls trying to become idols to save their Japanese town! It is such a cute show with many great songs throughout sung by some talented people!! And as you learn more about the characters and how they died, you also learn that it's one of the few animes that features a canonically trans character!! The song I picked is sung by my favorite character, who I totally don't have a crush on.

And not a show but I would be remiss if I didn't include one of the GOAT Japanese composers, Hiroyuki Sawano! The atmosphere his songs create in so many shows, most famously Attack on Titan, are unbelievable, chilling and other worldly! It's because of him that I started looking more closely at the music of shows and have found many a great artist because of him! Hello, Brazilian follower here 🇧🇷! I love your content 💖 There is nothing that annoys me more than writers who distort the character's personality to fit their own narratives, (I even lose the desire to read💀), and this happens a lot with Levi. I've seen stories where he's portrayed as a sex machine and a super-passionate "well-endowed" lover, completely ignoring the fact that he's a 5-foot-1 man who's probably a virgin in his forties who can't form friendships properly or even have a romantic relationship, and if there was even the slightest possibility of that happening, it would take YEARS, and then some long years for physical contact to become a reality in the relationship. As much as I like the character and wish him happiness, I feel that he doesn't have the capacity to be in a relationship, not because he doesn't have emotions, but because of his countless traumas. Sadly Levi will never be a 'boyfriend material', it's sad but true. 🙁 What do you think?

hmm i half agree with you. i’ve talked abt this before but there are some ways ppl characterize levi in fic that are just straight up a complete contradiction to his character. like making him super mean and unfeeling behind closed doors (or even abusive), having him say ‘brat’ every other sentence, or making him exude a lot of emotion when he’s rly a stoic character. stuff like that will make me stop reading and question if the person watched the anime / read the manga with their ass

but a counterpoint: there is very very little canon information on what levi is like personally. not even levi eating a meal is ever showed in canon💀except isayama said (im pretty sure) that his favorite food is rice. we all accept he has insomnia bc isayama said it and he looks tired. we’ve seen this man sleep once, and it was after getting blown up. and i could go on. my point is that there are so many different ways to write levi into scenarios, stories, plots bc we as a fandom know so little about him and that’s a reason people love him. he’s so .. moldable i guess.

so for that reason - and honestly in general - it’s not up to me or anyone how ppl characterize levi “”correctly””. whether he has the capacity to be in a relationship or he’s had a partner more than once. whether he’s a sex-repulsed virgin or someone that needs a connection to desire that. the way you just described him to me is a list of likely headcanons besides his height. and a lot of the time with levi fanfiction, that’s what most writers do. bc of the nature of levi’s character, him in a romantic context is for the most part an amalgamation of headcanons.

i hate the idea of criticizing or hating on each other for the way we all write a character like levi (and just in general). ppl should keep an open mind. and for the stuff we disagree with (like i said at the start of this post), we keep that to ourselves. and just. don’t read.

Headcanon time I guess(TMNT 2012)

BECAUSE I'M TERRIBLY MISSING TMNT BUT I'M BURNT OUT OF WATCHING NETFLIX HEADCANONS FOR TMNT 2012

If any of these end of very very very canon you can blame netflix for not having 4/5 seasons so I don't know everything oopsie :3

I'll start with my favorite character since obviously I'm gonna have alot to say about him :)

He's very very VERY fond of bugs, He picks them up and smiles at them :) and sometimes eats but only when his brothers aren't around because they 100% yell at him everytime they see him eat the bugs because B U G S!! Listen what else are they gonna eat that technically has meat? There's not gonna be any chicken in the sewers... maybe... who knows... chickens are weird like that <3

AS SOON!!! As they got internet and stuff in the lair he learned EVERY SINGLE CUSS WORD ✨✨✨ He also learns very quickly how and when to use them etc etc because he finds them so funny, Also He ONLY uses them with villains and only when his brothers/family/friends aren't around!! He comes up with the weirdest crazy fuckin Insults and thinks they are SO funny <3 lol (... Projection maybe :3 )

Forgets his own birthday almost every single year(Oops going angsty now beware >:3 ) He doesn't see his birthday as important as his brothers or even his fathers so his brain just forgets about it, He always remembers his brothers tho(this is paired with the headcanon that they choose different days in the same month so that they didn't have to have 4 different birthdays on the same day lol)

April gave them a notebook and Mikey sketches in it, he runs out of space and starts to draw in between every other drawing because he doesn't want to ask for another one... :')

HE PUTS STICKERS ON THAT NOTEBOOK!!!! they're not very good stickers but like, He's collected them for years, every time he found one that wasn't destroyed then he takes it >:3 His brothers know about his little stickers and leave any stickers they find in his room <3 :'D

believes in luckiness/unluckiness and that sorta, luck theory(I might be the only person who's thought of this So I'll explain it oops) Basically Mikey believes that if Something good happens to him the same amount of bad will also happen later on, and vise versa :3 He doesn't let it bother him but it's always in the back of his mind.

The last thing also plays a part in this one. Mikey doesn't like when something REALLY good happens to him. He 100% believes that something REALLY bad will happen to him sometime after, Normally it does tho so he's kinda valid for it :')

Loves Animals, All kinds, He doesn't technically have a favorite(Until ICK comes into his life and it becomes cats) He loves cows and dogs and bunnies(PROJECTION LOL) and fish and Frogs and birds and dinosaurs and erhjdkjgbhdfkjbndfkjnjdfns ALL OF THEM, He doesn't really have a least favorite tho :)

Currently Watching: to no one's surprise, i'm rewatching Castlevania for the 1928448th time. my partner and I have been watching random DC animated stuff for the past couple years!! we finished the original dcau (early 90s-2000s) stuff earlier this year and we started the rebooted dcau stuff a few months ago

Last Movie: some shitty batman/superman crossover, there's so many i forget which one it was at this point 😓

for non-fandom stuff, i'm currently teaching myself how to crochet and it's slow going but a very nice thing to add to my crafting routine. I also make little dioramas and ttrpg terrain, but i hardly ever have the time and energy to do it on a regular basis. but damn if i don't love teeny little houses and landscapes
