am i good enough?

#i just feel like i’m not good enough #not good enough to do hard classes #not good enough to live up to my standards #hell sometiems i don’t even feel good enough to be on here #i don’t know where i’m going wrong #i honestly just think this is my ‘depression week’#mainly because it’s been two years since my very first suicide attempt and it just weighs down on me sometimes #and the only thing that sometimes works is pretending some fictional character would give two damn shits about me #when in reality i wouldn’t even be good enough for that #i can’t stop thinking like this #this is honestly just a really hard time for me because i just tend to have everything weigh down at once #but i just don’t feel good enough #and i know no one is gonna see this or care but i dunno #i’m just tired of everything #it’s pathetic of me to pretend some fictional person would give a shit about me #it’s pathetic of me to keep trying to be better at something than my brother so i can have one thing be known as a me thing #and i know i’m weird #and i hate it #i hate the way i am #it’s just the reality of it. i’m not good enough. not for me not my family nor anyonee #i’m not digging for clout either so just…please don’t.#skipper speaks #vent #i actually think this is the lowest i’ve been in a while

#lol good luck finding all of the photoshopped versions in the rb history. ‘manatee restored’ is still my favorite of all time #misc #I encourage anyone dyslexic to try rotating him in your mind. I can’t do that; which is why I’m asking you to.#also: a bunch of tags are surprised this isn’t ‘shopped #it’s the lighting. backlit by the sun (which is diffused through the water) but also forelit artificially #the artificial light - a flash pack or something - casts a hard shadow under the creatures arm #which normally wouldn’t be possible if backlit by the SUN; you’d see a less-hard/more-fragmented shadow above water #as light sources ‘compete’ in a sense - and since there aren’t any light sources which can outshine the literal sun #it looks a bit weird when the darkest shadow is being cast from any other origin point - which is what’s essentially happening here #I don’t know the mechanics of how light travels through water; but I know the effect is substantial even with relatively short distances #also: it’s been balanced and color corrected by the author of the photo - who made deliberate choices to bring out the full potential #so it’s not like it’s a fresh and untouched export #but the kind of ‘tacked on’ appearance of the creature is a result of the lighting conditions within the image

friend wanted to see my tumblr, and when i told him i can’t show it to him bc it’s basically my personal diary he went “oh so I can’t see it but a bunch of strangers on tumblr can??” he literally does not get me. no one will get me like the people in my phone get me

#It’s just so different #even though it’s public it still feels secret and safe. i feel comfy sharing a lot more on here than I do in my actual day to day life lol #in my head I’m also just speaking to myself 90% of the time which helps #if a friend off tumblr saw my thoughts I’d feel so weird ab it #esp bc they might get the vagueposting about certain situations and tell mutual friends #no thank u. this is for me. I’m not about to start censoring my thoughts bc someone I know knows my tumblr #u guys literally saw me have LIVE BREAKDOWNS #meanwhile I’ll have the worst fucking day in history and tell no one about it. I’m already cripplingly private but way more so in real life #this is basically a low stress journaling outlet for me. it’s so important for me to maintain the separation #like this is actually my diary & has been so handy for letting out emotions / articulating thoughts / staying on track !!#& I’ve met so many kind people on here who actually get me. which is so hard to find irl bc I’m surrounded by pre-med gunners/overachievers #who are by standard not very good w emotion & can be competitive/judgmental. or at least it’s hard for me to be vulnerable in front of them #and I’m part of that crowd so I reserve my emotions only to a handful of very close friends #it’s nice to hop on here and express negative emotions!! or positive emotions!! just whatever I want and it’s low stress and people get me #I don’t have to worry about judgment or competitiveness etc etc #like everyone on here is so kind & nice & understanding. & just a breath of fresh air from the types I run w. it’s just nice to have this #so idk that’s why I think I’ll always be strict about keeping the worlds separate. it just works #p

Something about North Korea being naturally more mountainous then South Korea making only 17% of North Korea useable for agriculture. Something about America bombing North Korean farmland.

Something about the partition of Palestine resulting in most of the useable agricultural land being given to Israel. Something about the targeting of Gaza’s farmland in air strikes and the bulldozing of crop fields by Israel.

Something about the Palestine flag hanging in the hallway of my North Korean primary school.

I don’t want for Palestine what North Korea has, sanctioned into the ground and demonised by the entire “international community” but I see parallels in our presents and pasts, and it gives me hope.

One time I walked into a bar and the bartender looked at me and said “Hey! I am ready for more train facts!”

I had never seen this person in my life, but apparently another woman, who also happened to be a transwoman, and who looked a lot like me sat at the bar and told her a bunch of facts about trains.

I really want to meet the train fact lady

#for the record #I do know train facts #and I had to stop and think about if I had info dumped about trains to a bartender #and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t me #especially since the bar tender was also pretty sure that it wasn’t me after she talked to me for like 2 seconds #but man I absolutely would have done that #it was weird
