The Oncoming Storm Part 17: Blackout
Liu Kang x Reader and Kung Lao x Reader (gonna do both, two paths!)
Oh no, you made things complicated. Lol. I'm having more fun writing Kung Lao than should be allowed. Hopefully you guys enjoy! And yes, I know this is tropey but I also don't care LOL, it's a fun trope.
Part 16 Part 18 Chapter Index
The hotel was surprisingly crowded. You weren’t sure what you’d expected but you hadn’t expected it to be bustling with tourists. There was a festival happening, you should have expected this. A bit outdated, the hotel was still clean and inviting. A welcome reprieve from the stone walls of Raiden’s Temple. You’d arrived early and still had to wait in line. Raiden had ‘transported’ you there which had been a wild experience in and of itself. You’d walked into a bolt of lightning and had come out in a quiet alley unseen.
It had been so long since you’d walked amongst the average civilian that it felt straight up bizarre to be walking along the streets of the modest city, especially in your hanfu. It was all you’d had, after all. No one looked at you twice other than to greet you politely. Most of the other folks staying at the hotel for the festival were couples on a romantic getaway which had made it instantly weird to be waiting in line with Kung Lao to check into your respective rooms.
Thankfully, the line moved quickly and once you’d checked in, you dropped off the few belongings you’d brought with you. The room was tiny with a single bed, a desk taking up nearly the rest of the room. Atop the desk was a television and beneath that was an old, ancient mini fridge. It would do well enough. This was the most technology you’d seen in weeks. Afterwards, you’d found Kung Lao and told him that you would meet him in an hour. You’d made note of a clothing store down the road and wanted to see if there was anything worth buying.
He, of course, decided to join you. No one trusted you alone anymore. He didn’t say it like that, but you knew that Raiden had told both him and Liu to keep an eye on you. You felt like a ticking time bomb.
Once at the shop you were disappointed to find that it sold mostly yukatas and kimonos. You supposed it was better than the flowy hanfu. At least you could pick out something that would be your own rather than something that had been handed to you.
Boy, you missed the internet.
You picked out a few pieces that you could work with a bit easier. Most of the hanfu were dresses or long flowy robes. Here you’d been able to find a few women’s kimonos that had hakama pants as an option. You had never been so excited to see pants in your life. You didn’t need the whole kimono, just the pants. Some constricted around the ankles while others were left open. You grabbed both and were extremely pleased.
“Sometimes, you’re a very simple woman.” Kung Lao had patted you on the back when you’d showed him the pants in excitement. You had to agree. In that moment you were very simple. Pants had brought you joy. You’d wandered away from him after that to find a few tops, belts, and jackets. Thankfully, you’d had your wallet on you when this had all begun so you had some money on you. In Raiden’s Temple, money hadn’t been necessary, so you were happy to spend it on the few things you did need.
They weren’t jeans and a t-shirt or even cute dresses, but it felt like a step in the right direction toward feeling like yourself again. You hadn’t realized how much it had bothered you until then.
Kung Lao had purchased just enough for the day in flattering red and black. That seemed to be his aesthetic though you could picture him in blues too for some reason. Then you made your way back to the hotel and to your rooms on the top floor. You had gotten rooms next to each other. You went to get changed and were happy with what you saw even in the half mirror on the desk. You stood on the bed to get a better look. Black hakama pants and a grayish-lavender and black top with a white sash tied around your middle. You then pulled your hair back in a ponytail and admired yourself in the mirror. Even though your hair was a mess you looked much more like yourself.
Your white roots had grown out a couple of inches now. It didn’t look bad, but it definitely didn’t look like it was on purpose either.
Oh well! You jumped off the bed and then left the room to find Kung Lao waiting for you, leaned against the wall next to your door. He had one foot propped against the wall, arms folded across his chest, hat obscuring his face as it often did. The clothing he’d bought wasn’t too terribly different from what he usually wore with the notable exception that he had sleeves which was truly a shame. He tilted his head up just enough to greet you before stepping away from the wall. You hadn’t left him waiting that long and yet he acted as though he’d been there for ages.
You noticed the jade ring from his usual outfit was woven into his outfit with the sash around his waist laced through it. It was kind of sweet that he always seemed to have it on him.
“Is that significant in some way? Special?” You asked, gesturing to the ring. He looked down at the ring in surprise and then nodded down the hall. You walked slowly through the hotel toward the stairwell.
“It’s a relic from my ancestor, the Great Kung Lao.”
“Oh, wow. About that, though… I’ve heard people mention him, but I had never heard the name before you. I know that he’s of some importance which has made you important…”
“I am incredibly important, thank you.”
“Yes, very. Keep talking.”
“He was the first champion of Mortal Kombat who had come from the Shaolin Order of Light. He defeated Shang Tsung and won the tournament.” Kung Lao seemed as though he had told this story a hundred times but was still proud to tell it. It was oddly sweet. “He was champion of Earthrealm for fifty years before the tournament was corrupted and he was killed. Even so, he is held in great reverence. He was a remarkable warrior.”
“Is that why you have a dragon mark?”
“Yes, that is why I have the mark. It’s also why I was sent away so young. I’d already been training long before I’d met you. When I left it was because it was time for me to go live at the temple.”
You stopped walking before the stairs and he stopped just in front of you and turned to face you. “Then why were you so bad when we would pretend to fight?”
“I held back. I wanted you to have fun too. Besides, it felt nice to be normal back then.” He laughed and you caught up to him and started down the stairs. “I was thinking that we should come up with a story as to why we’re here.”
“Should we?”
“Obviously. We need a reason to be here.”
“Other than the reason we actually have?”
“And when a bunch of strangers ask you why we’re here, are you going to tell them the real reason we’re here?”
“Point taken.”
“We need a cover.”
“Do we really though? I don’t remember ever having to justify my actions that intensely to strangers before. We can just be visiting.” You jumped down the last two stairs to the landing between flights. Pants felt great. Kung Lao seemed to either be overthinking your trip or grasping at straws to get to some end point. Or he was going to cause trouble. You would never forget the look that both Raiden and Liu had given him on their way out.
“I’ve been asked three times what brings me to Mount Osore during the festival. I came up with a lie on the spot but I’m no terribly proud of it or anything.”
“And what is this lie you came up with?”
“I said I was here on a date. Everyone else seems to be here on a date, so it was the first thing that jumped to mind.”
You rolled your eyes at him and he laughed in surprise, waiting for you at the bottom of the stairs. You caught up to him. “Really, Kung Lao?”
“What? It’s the first thing I could think of! The people asking me were on a date and so I stuttered that I was too.”
“Kung Lao, no.”
“Come on, Y/N.”
“Can’t we just say we’re visiting and that it’s no one’s business?” You walked into the lobby and he hurried in front of you and took your hands, clasping them between his. You sighed. “Would you…” The lobby was very crowded.
“I hate you so much right now.”
“Would you,” he continued, talking over you, “do me the honor of going on a cute little pretend date with me so that we can sneak into an ancient Buddhist Temple built within the caldera of a volcano so that we can uncover an ancient and possibly cursed artifact together?” You stared at him in disbelief, but it was taking every ounce of your energy not to burst into laughter. He was such a dork. “I will get down on my knees and ask you again if you don’t answer me.” He got down on his knees and you broke. Laughing, you pulled your hands free, grabbed his arms and tugged.
“Oh my god, get up, Kung Lao.”
“It’s a great cover, Y/N.”
“It is an exactly okay cover. But fine. I haven’t done something terribly embarrassing in a while, so I guess I’m overdue for this.” You agreed at least. He was right. It was a good cover considering this whole place was filled with couples. Besides, if it got Kung Lao to drop the subject then you would be happy to agree. The whole display had made your cheeks burn.
“Embarrassing, huh? Come on, Y/N. It’s not such a bad thing, is it? Could be worse looking guys to end up with, right?” He walked at your side again, making a teasing kissy face and leaning close to you. You leaned away with an awkward and nervous laugh.
“If you keep doing things like that then you are going to get smacked.”
“Worth it.” He held the door open for you and together you left the hotel. Outside a bus waited to take tourists to the shrine for the festival. People were already loading onto it. Kung Lao offered you his hand and you looked to him skeptically. He grabbed your hand anyway and then you walked onto the bus. “You’re going to have to get better at pretending.” You found seats near the back of the bus and even as you sat, he didn’t let go of your hand. You felt incredibly silly. Yet, it also made your heart flutter. As much as you had given him a hard time, you also happened to think it was an incredibly sweet and kind of wholesome idea.
Funny enough, you had thought of this moment before but in a much different context. Maybe in a life where your childhood together hadn’t ended so traumatically. Where you’d stayed close friends and he’d have asked you out when you were old enough. In a way, you felt like a silly schoolgirl, something you hadn’t felt in years.
If he hadn’t died then this was exactly where you would have wound up. Somehow that made you feel much less silly and you finally relaxed. Kung Lao pointed out several interesting things on the side of the road through the window and you listened to him chatter on until the bus was pulling up to the shrine. You waited for the others to get off the bus and then you walked ahead of Kung Lao and stepped off it.
The shrine was huge and it took your breath away.
So much so that it made you dizzy.
A river flowed before you then beneath a red bridge. To the left of the bridge there was a white beach lining the bluest and most artificial-looking water that you had ever seen in your life. Rocks were piled alongside the shore in strange formations. Beyond the bridge there was a stone path that led to the shrine in the distance, and it was lined with old lanterns. You walked to the edge of the stone path where the bus had dropped you off to try and get a better look at the water.
That was a teal color you had never seen before in nature. In your mind’s eye, you recalled your vision and it made your stomach drop. You took a step further and were suddenly grasped around the waist and pulled away from the edge of the stone. Then Kung Lao looped his arm in yours. “You looking to take a dip?”
You hadn’t realized that you had almost walked right into the river. You hadn’t been thinking. The water had bewitched you, it seemed. You needed to get a closer look at it but now that you’d been turned away from it, the feeling had gone. From there you could smell the acidity in the humid air. That was likely why it was so blue. “Pay more attention, okay?”
You weren’t sure what to say to him. It was surreal being there. This place was exactly the same as it had been in your vision but also years, possibly centuries had passed since then. The shrine buildings themselves were much larger than they had been then. They were even a different color. Your head was spinning as you tried to take in everything at once. It was an overload. You grabbed Kung Lao’s arm to try and ground yourself. You felt as though you were floating and the wind would take you away.
Kung Lao led you onto the bridge and at its apex you sat and watched the water trickle beneath it. He helped you lean your elbows against the railing and then placed a supportive hand on your back.
“It’s okay. Take a second.” He seemed to realize that you were having a difficult time. How could you explain that you were struggling to wrap your mind around being in a place where you’d had such a vivid and violent vision? You were grateful for him. Your heart was racing and you watched the water flowing beneath the bridge, over the rocks. Your stomach had dropped. It felt as though you were intimately familiar with this place, as though you had spent years there, but you had never once seen it before. At the same time, everything felt completely new. Your brain was waging war with itself. “You okay?”
“Yeah, this is just… surreal.” You were finally able to collect your thoughts enough to talk.
“You went a bit gray. Figured you needed a minute.”
“I appreciate it.”
“So, where do we go?”
“There’s a well inside one of those buildings.” You nodded to your right where the shrine was at the end of the stone path.
“Vague, but okay.” He peered to the right and then pointed. “It’s off limits.” From there you could see a series of ropes that blocked off the building from visitors. “Great.”
“It’s crowded enough here. I’m sure we can sneak in just fine.”
“Of course.” He leaned next to you on his forearms, hands clasped together. “This place is a little spooky.”
“It is. I read a brochure from the hotel lobby. The monks here believe that it’s the gateway to hell. The river beneath us is supposed to represent the Sanzu.” You pointed below you. It was a little spooky, you supposed, but it was also incredibly beautiful.
“I read about that. I also read that there are holy water bathhouses and volcanic cauldrons with crazy colored water.”
“Yeah, and a lake of blood.”
“I hate that, Y/N.” He stuck his tongue out at the idea. You laughed. He was too funny. He had this way of making you feel at least even about the big and often uncomfortable things sometimes. Other times he drove your anxiety through the roof. Thankfully, this wasn’t one of those moments. “What do you say that we get to sneaking in and find this thing so that we can have a bit of fun for the rest of the day, huh?”
“That sounds nice.”
He took your hand once again and you walked over the bridge and along the stone path. The lanterns were decorated for the festival along with the rest of the shrine. Monks walked about, greeting visitors and answering questions while explaining various attractions. Most visitors, and there were many, were straying from the temple in favor of the white sands or the volcanic cauldrons. You and Kung Lao walked until you reached the ropes before the shrine. You stood there for a time in the shade, waiting for your moment to sneak in unseen.
“Coast is clear,” you whispered and turned to keep watch while Kung Lao snuck into the shrine. Once inside, you waited for your opportunity and followed him. Inside, the building was ancient but to you it seemed oddly brand new. It wasn’t the same shrine that you remembered from your vision. Much had changed since that wicked man had been there.
No one was waiting for you inside the small entryway or in the room beyond. That seemed like the central room, with space for prayer and a dip in the center for dining. The floor was lined with tatami mats and the ceiling was high, windows on the second floor spattering sunlight throughout the room. Halls branched off in each direction and you suddenly felt overwhelmed with choice. It had seemed so much simpler in your vision.
“Lead the way but be cautious. We’re not alone.” Kung Lao spoke in a hushed tone, staying close to you but alert.
“Yeah.” You started through the room and down the closest hallway, checking to see if it was empty first. Kung Lao took your hand and you urged him along with you. Your stomach was in knots and his hand there continued to keep you grounded. Several times you encountered monks going about their business and you had to duck into other rooms or sneak back around corners. You somehow managed to remain unseen, having to huddle together in strange spaces and hide in enclosed areas. It would have been fun had it not been so damn frustrating.
None of it made sense! As you turned down another hall, you sighed in frustration. You’d wound up there twice already. Your gut kept sending you there and back to the central room but there was no indication that it was the same place that the vision had taken place in. Kung Lao suddenly pulled you back into the side room and held you against the wall near the door. There were footsteps in the hall, and you held your breath until they had passed. You made to go back into the hall, but Kung Lao pinned you in place.
“You’re leading us in circles.”
“I know. It’s hard to explain. It’s like someone’s moving everything around while we’re walking. It doesn’t make any sense. I think I’m going one way and then we’re back to where we started.” It was making you sick to your stomach, as a matter of fact.
“You can do this. Just focus.”
“Kung Lao, you have no idea what’s going on in my head right now. I am focusing.”
“You’re right I don’t. So, tell me.”
“I’m not sure that I have the words to explain that the room we’re looking for should be right around the corner but then it isn’t.” It really was disorienting to expect to be in one place and end up in another. “It shouldn’t have been this far back but also this place is ten times bigger than it had been in my vision.”
“I need you to try still.”
You were mixed up. It was like someone was moving rooms in your head and before you knew it, you had once again led him back into the central room which made both you and Kung Lao groan in annoyance.
“Oh good. We’re back. I was worried.”
“It should be right here, but everything looks so different!”
“It’s okay, Y/N. We’ll figure it out.”
“It’s not okay, Kung Lao. It should be right here. I wish I could just show you.” The frustration was radiating off you, you were sure. “I can’t-”
“Is someone there?” A voice from somewhere down the hall called and footsteps approached from a distance.
“Fu…” Kung Lao whispered and then grabbed you and searched for somewhere to hide. The closest hall was too far. You were caught. “Don’t panic.” He urged you to the wall with surprising care and you made a sound of surprise. What did he mean don’t panic? You were instantly panicking. Don’t panic? What was wrong with him? He leaned against you and tilted your chin up and his head toward you like he was going to kiss you, obscuring you both with his hat. “Act natural, Y/N.” His lips brushed against your cheek, just next to your lips. “I swear, you’re terrible at this.” You were stiff as a board, so he had every right to scold you, but also he was pretending to kiss you so what the hell were you supposed to do with that? What was natural in this case?
You gave him a swift but soft punch in the gut and he laughed against your cheek in return. That made you feel a bit better. He lifted his head just enough and you peered toward the door nearby, waiting for the monk that would inevitably kick you out. You could have had time to hide at this rate. Kung Lao’s lips were pressed against your cheek and they were soft even if it was just in a mock kiss close enough to your lips to look like you were sneaking a private moment.
You peered around the corner, thinking maybe you were in the clear. Kung Lao did the same and when you turned back to tell him that maybe the monk had decided to turn away, you found him extremely close to you. Intimately so. His dark eyes were serious and that always scared you for whatever reason. He tilted your chin toward him and all other thoughts slipped out of your brain.
What were you doing there? Where were you anyway? And why? Did it matter?
Not right now it didn’t.
His hand was on your chin, thumb brushing just below your lip, urging your lips to part just enough. You dared not breathe to break the tension of the moment. The sneaking and searching were gone completely from your thoughts. All that was left was the boy that you’d so admired in your youth grown into a handsome man with his hand against the wall at your side, the other inextricably lost below your lower lip.
His eyes were searching you, but you dared not look back into them for fear of what you might find, for fear of what it might reveal to you. His breath warmed your lips before they were on yours, parting them like a blossom in a soft and singular tender movement. A far superior kiss than the one he’d pretended to give you for the sake of saving your skin.
His lips were sweet. Not like sugar or candy, but sweet like the lingering taste of honey at the bottom of a cup of tea. It was a feeling of sweetness rather than a flavor. The moment was still and soft, his lips treasuring yours as though they were something sacred and special. They pulled back just enough from yours that you could feel your lips resisting to part as if they had minds of their own. His eyes were searching you still for answers and in wonder, but you didn’t dare meet them. Yet, you could feel his gaze and beneath your fingertips, that had betrayed you and now rested on his chest, you could feel his heart beating almost as hard as yours.
His breath graced your lips again, but you dared not breathe. You wanted to say something, even just a whisper of his name, but no words would come and you sat there, lips parted in waiting, avoiding his eyes, hand clutching the cloth at his chest, unsure of where you even were or why. This was Kung Lao.
Your Kung Lao.
A soft sigh escaped his lips as they were on yours again, but the softness was gone, though there was something about them that was still sweet even so. The force of his kiss pressed you against the wall, leaving you no escape- not that you wanted to escape. This was a moment that the ten-year-old inside your head had both longed for and not understood. You would have been a fool not to return his kiss, to taste and experience his lips the way that he was with yours and so you did. You kissed him and it was like a storm inside you beyond your control, building with electricity with every moment that passed.
There was a tender moment of acceptance where it felt as though time stood still. The soft moment faded quickly to frenzied desperation. There was no space left between you. Kung Lao was pressed against you, body warm and strong, hat nearly pushed back off of his head as he favored kisses over his possessions. Your hands moved up his chest, to the sides of his neck, fingertips then tangling in the short, messy tendrils of his hair at the base of his hairline. Your heart was doing flips, brain completely turned off to anything that had happened before this, even if somewhere in the distant reaches of your mind you could hear your instincts telling you that you had to stop. Whatever muting effect had been triggered in your brain had seemed to impact Kung Lao as well.
In one swift motion, fluid and strong, his hands were at your thighs and he had lifted you and pressed you against the wall, urging your legs to wrap around him. Your arms slipped naturally around his shoulders, pulling him closer between hot and increasingly sloppy kisses.
“Excuse me?”
Ah, yes. The monk. That was right.
You stopped kissing him.
Kung Lao’s lips finally pulled from yours and you could feel that your own were left slightly swollen from the desperation and passion of those precious few moments. When had you gotten so tangled up in each other? His chest was rising and falling against yours quickly and even though he’d pulled back his lips lingered close to yours as if to consider defying the monk further.
“My apologies.” The monk sounded embarrassed and bowed multiple times. “This area is closed to the public for the festival.”
You finally managed to regain your thoughts and untangled yourself from Kung Lao. You placed your feet on the ground and cleared your throat though your face was likely as red as his robes. He released you from his grip though he made no effort to step away. You swallowed the lump in the back of your throat and forced your brain to work.
“Is it?” You sounded surprised and were grateful that you had. You hadn’t expected to be a very good actor after all that, but you had been surprised to be interrupted and also confused as to where your mind had gone. It was more feigning innocence than lying. The monk nodded and looked as though he sincerely felt bad for interrupting you. “I’m sorry. We had no idea.”
“It’s no worries. I will happily escort you back to the festivities. Follow me.”
“Sorry about that.” Kung Lao, who you had never seen at a loss for words, seemed to finally regain himself. Just like that, he was back to the goof he’d been when you’d first arrived. “We were just sneaking off to have a private moment. Didn’t realize it was off limits.”
“It happens all the time. You’d be surprised.” The monk led you back through the central room and into the entryway. You elbowed Kung Lao as you followed the monk and he laughed beneath his breath. Once outside the monk bowed to you and then left you alone. You leaned your head back and stared into the sunny blue sky with a sigh. You needed a new plan. That one had gone off the rails in a way you hadn’t expected.

                                                             ----
“Alright gang.” Tony begins, standing in front of all the Avengers at the end of a large oval table in the conference room.
“I’m sure you’ve seen these ‘viral videos’ of this Spider-Boy kid swinging around the city and being a friendly neighbourhood vigilante. Well, Happy and I have managed to track him down and he’s agreed to join the team”
“Viral videos of superheroes?” Steve exclaims, looking at Tony whilst tilting his head and looking genuinely exhausted. “I’m still catching up on these keyboard cats and kids biting fingers”.
I giggle. Having Steve around was just the same as having an uncle you saw once the year who lived of the grid. He was extremely sweet, but utterly clueless to anything other than his job. But I mean, that job does include fighting evil aliens.
“Anyway…” Tony continues as the other Avengers chuckles die down after Steve’s outcry “he arrived not too long ago. Happy is next door giving him all the T&Qs and they should be done now. Let me just check and I’ll introduce you all.” Tony then leaves the room, and the other Avengers start to talk among themselves.
I pull out my phone and type ‘NYC spider boy’ into YouTube clicking on the second search result with 20 million views. I have seen this video before as my friend Michael sent it to me around a week ago.
“Do you think there are many other super kids wandering around the city?” Sam asks, whilst looking at the video of my shoulder. Currently the hero is stopping a city bus from off-roading into some confused tourists by building up a wall with his web.
“I doubt it, I mean I guess he’s the only one going viral” I answer, moving the angle of my phone so the others who have gathered around me can see “but it would be cool to be able to meet some people my age who do what I do, no offence guys”
They all laugh. Being the youngest Avenger and hanging out with 30+ year olds all the time can be kind of isolating, but it’s like having a super close family. A family who also happen to be in life and death situations regularly together. But that’s a great bonding experience I would say.
“Guys, this is Peter, the Spider-Boy” Tony draws our attention away from my phone to the door where he has just entered.
“Spider-Man” Peter mutters as a lame attempt to correct him.
“Peter?” I question and the boy stood in front of me was not who I expected. I didn’t expect the masked vigilante swinging through New York to be someone that I knew.
“Y/N?” He responds, looking even more confused than I am “What are you doing here?”
-
“So Tony Stark is your dad?” Peter asks.
After seeing a guy from your school who you shared a chemistry class with last year, walking into a super-secret meeting for superheroes where he will be now joining your team. It is understandable that Peter and I were now talking this out to figure out how this state could be so small.
“Yep” I answer. We were sat next to each other on bar stools at the kitchen island. Wanda made some of her famous fruit smoothies for us and we were both stirring them around with our straws whilst conversing alone in the main living space.
“But your last name isn’t Stark, or Potts?” He continues, genuinely really confused about this whole situation.
“Yeah, well you can’t have the daughter of a billionaire and superhero couple walking around New York City alone, going to a normal school, having normal hobbies. It’s like asking for me to be taken hostage. So, I don’t have either of their last names and the general public doesn’t know I exist. It’s for my safety” I continue, reciting this memorised answer I’ve had to say to multiple people once they find out my existence.
Peter nodded as if he was understanding everything, he probably was, but I guess this wasn’t the conversation he planned to have today.
“And you’re the great Spider-Man” I continued, wanting the change the subject from me to him. “How did that happen? Wait… were you Spider-Man when you sat behind me in Chem last year?”
He began to explain to me the story, it happened to him on our school trip to OSCORP we took last year for our Chem class that happened just before the end of the semester. Something about a radioactive spider. It was strange, kind of the weirdest superhero transformation story I’ve heard. And I’ve heard quite a few.
My story was nowhere near as interesting. I guess having superhero parents who were always around weird alien technology and contaminated substances led to some weird epigenetic alterations of their reproductive cells and then when they had me, I could turn invisible.
They didn’t know at first, I was seemingly a normal baby. Then at my 2nd birthday party when they surprised me with a freaky clown, I was so scared that my body just decided to turn invisible. They weren’t expecting it, the clown definitely wasn’t expecting it and they had to cover up with a very convincing lie.
From then, whenever I was embarrassed, scared or essentially in a situation where I wanted to disappear. I did. Literally. It wasn’t entirely effective though as even though my body tuned invisible, the clothes I was wearing didn’t. I spent the majority of my preteen years of being a walking hoodie and jeans with no head or hands protruding from the gaps. For my 13th birthday Bruce and I got to work on a suit which responds to the activity of my skin cells, when I was invisible, my suit was invisible. It made it a lot more effective for me to actually be invisible when I turned but it also meant my dad let me start training to become an Avenger.
Training was fun, I worked with Nat a lot in our gym in order to become an efficient fighter. ‘Just because people couldn’t see me, doesn’t mean I shouldn’t know how to serve a mean right hook’ she always said. I also spent a lot of time with Wanda, trying to manage my powers. Now I am able to actually turn invisible and visible again on demand. And it only takes extreme embarrassment now to turn me invisible against my will, which is great because mum and dad finally let me, after my years of begging, attend Midtown High and stop being home school. This is where I met Peter last year and now I’m at Columbia studying genetics and engineering. A double major, I know but when you’re around the top geniuses in the world everyday, there is no such thing as too much learning.
“So, I guess we’re the only Midtown Alumni to have these crazy powers huh?” Peter finishes. After a long ramble about his becoming a superhero story. I guess he wanted to ease the tension after I couldn’t really think of what to say after “that’s super cool”. It wasn’t like I wasn’t interested, I really was, but when I wanted to have another person my age to hang out with, I didn’t expect it to be the boy I spent my senior year of high school obsessing over. I had turned shy, like really shy, like my normal levels of shy times 50. I couldn’t think of what to say.
“Sorry, if that story was too long and boring, I’ve only gotten to tell it to one person before, my best friend Ned so I was kind of excited to be able to tell it again.”
“No, it wasn’t boring, it was genuinely really cool!” I say a little too loudly and enthusiastically. I cringe at my tone of voice and speak normally again as I continue “It’s just I didn’t really expect the new Avengers recruit to be you, you know, like someone I know. It’s just kind of weird, but nice? I don’t know, now I’m rambling”
Peter chuckles.
“Umm, so are you going to be staying with us whilst you train or are you going back to Queens?” I ask, hoping this new question will miraculously erase Peter’s memory of what I last said.
“A bit of both, my Aunt is back in queens and I don’t want to leave her completely alone, but this upstate facility is a little too far for an everyday commute. I’m here just for today but once I start training on Monday, I think I might stay for the whole week.”
“Well, I can give you the tour! Since you’ll be staying with us soon, I guess you’ll want to know where everything is!” I say whilst jumping of my bar stool and putting my half full smoothie cup in the fridge. I noticed peter has just finished his, so I grab the glass and put it in the dishwasher for him. He thanks me as I do so.
“So this is the kitchen, where we make our food, different from the kitchen where the chefs make our food for occasions, charity events blah blah blah. And also, this seating area here is kind of the main seating area where we’ll sit throughout the day. Lots of sofas because there are lots of us and this is Bucky’s armchair. Don’t ever sit in Bucky’s armchair.” I say, stopping behind the chair and resting my hand on the headrest.
“Bucky, scary guy with the metal arm right?” Peter questions whilst following me at a slight distance around the room as I show him around. I nod. “Yeah, don’t worry, I won’t be sitting in his chair” he laughs.
I continue to show him the rest of the complex, the gym, the labs and finish up on the floor with all our rooms.
“I’m not sure which one of these rooms will be yours because we have a couple spare ones, but they all have the same layout. Look I’ll show you mine” I walk into my room, then hold the door open for Peter so he can follow me in.
“Uh, so this is my room. Obviously, yours won’t be decorated like mine but It’ll be the same size and have an en-suite attached with a full shower and tub and stuff. You know, the basics” I say, whilst sitting on the edge of my bed.
“I like your room, it’s cosy” he adds whilst looking around and then heading for the bookshelf as soon as he spots it.
“Ah thanks, I mean it’s cool, bigger than when we were in the tower in the city so I can’t complain” I say whilst also looking around. What is it about someone else being in your room that makes you see it with fresh eyes and make you super self-conscious that there is going to be a rogue piece of underwear on the floor? Even though I know I tidied my room this morning.
“Holy crap, Vision you scared the life out of me” I say on an exhale whilst holding my hand to my chest after the large gasp I just made as he enters the room, through the wall.
“Sorry, but your door is open” He continues, “Mr. Stark has told me that your car is here to take you back home Mr. Parker. If you would just follow me, I can lead you there” Vision continues, as if him just floating through my bedroom wall and speaking to the boy from my chemistry class now turned superhero was a normal thing to happen on a Thursday evening.
“Oh… thanks Vision” Peter says with some hesitancy, you can see that this is a weird circumstance for him too. “Well, I’ll see you on Monday then” he says smiling at me and walking towards the door. Which vision doesn’t use to exit.
“Yeah, see you then” I smile as he closes the door and I’m left in my room listening to him shuffling down the corridor.

Beautiful In Your Skin
Characters: Spencer Reid x Reader, the other members of the BAU
Word Count: 1,406
Warnings: fluff, hating the way you look angst
request by @reminiscing-writer: Could you maybe do one where the readers eyes are like really (really) bad, but she only plucked up the courage to get them checked after she got w Spence, and because of her bad eyes, she has to wear glasses, but she only does so when she’s not around Reid. Cuz she’s like super self conscious about them and thinks she looks nerdy or old. (I got my glasses in today and I am no excited to wear them :/ need some courage lol)
Summary: You hate your new glasses, but Spencer makes you comfortable in your skin.
Author’s Note: If you have any requests, please send them in! this is unbeta’d and every mistake is all on me.

Spencer is already at work which calms your nerves when you wake up. Living with him has been a nightmare for reasons not that common. He is such a great boyfriend, and you couldn’t have asked for a better person to live with. He is always so thoughtful not to wake you when he gets up to go to work (he likes to go in extra early to get more stuff done). He makes you laugh, and you’re always excited to go home with him after every day. The reason it’s a nightmare is because you can’t fucking see.
You’ve always had bad eyesight, but you’ve ignored it until recently when things started getting more blurrier and less focused. Without him knowing, you got contacts to use, and they work like a goddess… until you ran out. Your eyesight must have gotten worse with your corrected lenses which is why you have to wear the glasses that came in last night. It sucks not being able to see, but it sucks even more to wear glasses.
They make you look so dorky, and you’re afraid once Spencer gets a look at you with them on, he’ll no longer see you as attractive and kick you out of the apartment and his life. Now, the rational side of your brain tells you that he would never behave that way, and you know it’s right. However, your anxiety is telling you a completely different story, and you’re more inclined to listen to that side.
Everything around you is blurry, and you squint to try and see what is in front of you to prevent tripping and breaking something. Your hands were out in front of you like a zombie, desperate to cling onto something solid that won’t move or take you down with it. It’s a struggle to get dressed, but you manage to make it to the bus stop on time. There is no way you were going to drive with vision like yours. You took your glasses just in case, but you don’t plan on wearing them at all. Just pretend like everything is fine, and no one will suspect a thing.
Getting to work was a bit of a struggle, but you make it into the office with five minutes to spare. Spencer is already at his desk, and his face brightens when he sees you. He gets up and greets you, expecting a kiss from you. Thinking he was more to the right than he actually is, you miss his lips and end up planting on at the corner of his mouth.
“Are you okay?” he asks and pulls away.
“Yeah, fine,” you chuckle.
You reach up and grab his cheeks to make sure you know where he is and run your thumb over his bottom lip. Now that you have more confidence in yourself, you plant one on his lips and grin at yourself for getting it right.
“I love you,” you smile.
“I love you too,” he says with a bit of confusion.
You head over to your desk since there is a mountain of paperwork ahead of you. There is no case today, or at least, you hope not so you can put all of your energy into this one thing. Being out in the field with your vision is a bad thing, and then surely everyone will know you wear glasses. Instead, you’re glad that paperwork is calling your name.
The entire morning is spent filling out paperwork and placing them to the side for Hotch to review later. Spencer’s desk is right next to yours, so he has a good view of everything that you’re doing. When one file is done (not so neatly), you grab the stapler and puncture the edge. Since your vision is corrupted, you couldn’t see exactly where the staple ended up. Sometimes, half of the metal is sticking out of the side of the papers.
Spencer watches in confusion. You’ve never acted this way before, so why were you doing it now? When your pile of files got too big, you took the stack and headed over to Hotch’s office to drop them off. As you went to turn, you trip over the wheels of your chair, knocking it into your bag which exposes the contents. Not knowing your glasses were in full view of anyone who looks at it, you walk to the stairs. You actually miss the first step, and Spencer watches the entire ordeal. He is so confused until he looked at your bag. A lightbulb goes off in his head as he puts the pieces together.
Why weren't you wearing your glasses? When did you get glasses? Were you always wearing contacts? How come he didn't know this about you? Why were you trying to hide it? The straw that broke his back is when you bump into a concrete post and say, “excuse me”. When you enter Hotch’s office, he quickly snatches your glasses from your purse to bring it up later. He is going to get to the bottom of this mystery.
Tumblr media
Turns out there is a case, but it came late due to poor judgment of Atlanta PD. They didn’t think they were dealing with a serial killer until more bodies started popping up, they finally requested the help of the BAU when they couldn't figure out who was doing it and why. As a favor to everyone else, you were cleaning up the briefing room to get it ready.
Spencer walks in the room just as you laid out the last file. JJ is out of the office because she’s sick, so you are going to present the case this time.
“Hey,” Spencer says softly.
“Hey,” you smile.
“I don’t know about you, but I think you need to wear these,” he states and holds up your glasses case.
You look up, but he’s too far away for you to see what’s in his hands. You don’t want to squint because then he’ll know you have terrible eyesight. He understands what you might be thinking, so he takes your glasses out of the case and places them on your face. Almost immediately, you turn away from him in embarrassment.
“What the hell are you going through my bag for?” you ask angrily and take off the glasses.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to. I noticed you stapling papers wrong and bumping into concrete posts and saying, ‘excuse me’. Y/N, why didn’t you tell me you needed glasses to see?”
“It’s none of your business,” you say with your back still turned to him.
“Please look at me,” he sighs. You comply and do as he asks but keep the glasses off. “Put on the glasses.”
“No,” you whisper.
“Why not?”
“I’m afraid you’ll leave me when you see how ugly I look with them on.”
“Do you really think that low of me? That I’ll do something like that?” he asks, clearly offended.
“No,” you sag your shoulders in defeat, “but my anxiety seems to think so. Spencer, I look dorky with these glasses on. I had contacts, but they ran out. I have to wear these until I get new ones.”
“I bet you look beautiful with them on.”
“Clearly you haven’t seen them on me.”
“Can I? It’s just the two of us here.”
“And what about when the rest of the team comes in? Derek always teases you based on how you look. Why wouldn’t he do the same to me?”
“Derek doesn’t mean any harm by it. And, if he does, I’ll tell him to stop. Please, Y/N. You can’t go on without your sight. It’s dangerous.”
“I know,” you sighed. Because there is no one else in the room, you decide to show him what you look like with them on. He’ll see it eventually, and you’d rather get it over with now. You put the glasses on, but you couldn’t look at him in fear of what might lie in his eyes.
“Oh wow,” he breathes softly.
“What?” you ask, deciding that it’s better to rip the band-aid off.
“I didn’t think it was possible for you to get more beautiful.”
It’s safe to say you never went back to contacts because Spencer made you feel beautiful in your own skin. You still think you look like a dork, but you’re Spencer’s dork which is all that matters.

800 questions part 8
351) Are you a gossip? No, I wouldn’t say that. A gossiper is described as someone who “casually and eagerly talks about other people, typically involving details that are not confirmed as being true.” That kind of person likes to talk about everyone all the time and spread rumors. That’s not me. I can’t say I never engage in it, but I don’t go around spreading lies and eagerly talk about everyone. If I share something it’s usually something I know to be true like, “did you hear so and so is pregnant” or “so and so is dating so and so.” Stuff like that. Also, I’m more into hearing celebrity gossip stuff.
352) Have you ever cried at a film? Yeah. I’ve only literally cried during a few, though.
353) When you’re ill do you struggle on regardless or just curl up in bed as much as possible? I used to be one who pushed through and still got done what I needed to. Back in like 2012 I was dealing with something that made me pretty sick often, like actual fevers and stuff, but I kept going to school anyway. I remember feeling like absolute death and getting the chills during class, stepping outside to pop a couple Tylenol, and then going on about my day. I was dealing with other stuff as well and legit didn’t feel well, but the show went on. And back then I had to take the bus to and from school often, which meant I was dependent on a schedule that wasn’t very convenient for me. I couldn’t just come and go whenever I pleased, I had to wait around for awhile. Now? I couldn’t do that. I spend majority of my time in bed and don’t feel well a lot of the time. I don’t get shit done anymore.
354) Do you need to write down things to remember them? I use the notes and reminder app for important stuff.
355) Do you keep a diary/journal? This is it.
356) Are you scared of thunderstorms? I enjoy them.
357) Do you have any unusual fears or phobias? Yes.
358) What’s your favorite Disney movie? I enjoy a lot of Disney movies, but a few of my favorites are Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh, and Toy Story.
359) Have you ever slept in a caravan? No.
360) Have you ever painted a house? Nope.
361) Have you got green fingers? No? Or are you referring to having a green thumb? In which case, also no.
362) What’s the tallest tree you’ve ever climbed? I’ve never climbed a tree. I can’t.
363) Have you ever dialed the talking clock? What?
364) Do you always wear identical socks? Yes.
365) Do you live by any motto or philosophy? Eh.
366) Do you lick the yogurt or dessert lid? No.
367) Do you lick the spoon clean after making something sweet? I did when I was a kid.
368) Do you like the sound of music? (the musical/film) Yeah.
369) Have you ever made your own orange juice? No. I don’t like orange juice.
370) Have you ever sucked on a lemon? Yeah. One of my favorite snacks as a kid around Christmastime something my mom showed me and we had every year, which was putting a candy cane (biting off both ends to make a straw) into a lemon and sucking the juice from it. Something about the peppermint and lemon juice together was really good.
371) Have you ever licked a battery? No.
372) Are you a good aim with a rubber band? I don’t shoot rubber bands around, but my aim is horrible in general so I know I wouldn’t be.
373) Have you ever played golf? I played mini golf once when I was a kid.
374) What’s the most unusual name you’ve ever come across? Hmm.
375) Do you prefer to wash in the mornings or evenings? At night.
376) Have you ever danced in the rain? Yeah.
377) Do you like long or short hair? I prefer long hair on myself.
378) Have you ever sworn at an authority figure? No.
379) Have you ever walked into a wall? Yeah lol.
380) What’s your favorite precious metal? Gold.
381) What’s your favorite precious stone? Amethyst.
382) Could you ever hunt your own meal? No.
383) Have you ever read any comics? When I was a kid I used to love reading the comics in the newspaper.
384) Where do you like to go to on a first date? A coffee shop is nice.
385) Do you prefer vertical or horizontal stripes? Horizontal.
386) Have you ever baked your own bread? No.
387) Can you believe I can’t believe it’s not butter is in fact not actually butter? Yeah. Still good, though. *shrug*
388) Can you name all 50 American states? Yep and in alphabetical order.
389) Have you ever owned a goldfish? Yes.
390) What was your favorite school subject? English.
391) What was your least favorite school subject? Math, always. I hated math.
392) Have you ever passed wind in an embarrassing situation? Nooo.
393) Have you ever played the bongos? No.
394) Have you ever handled a snake? NOOOO. I would never.
395) Have you ever assembled furniture by yourself? Yeah, super simple stuff like an end table where you literally just screw the legs on.
396) When did you last go to the beach? September of last year. I miss the beach D:
397) When if ever did you last go to London? Never been, but I’d love to go.
398) What do you do to cool down when it’s hot? I keep my fans on and I have this mister fan thing that I use constantly.
399) What’s the most unusual thing you’ve ever eaten? I don’t really tend to try and eat unusual things. My palate is not that developed. Haha. <<< lol, same. I’m super picky and boring. I eat the same few things all the time.
400) Do you have a favorite mug? My Peter Pan mug. It’s cute.

hI! can you take a picture of that Sounds article and post it? i kinda want to read it lol
Hey! The archive I’m using at the moment is text only (thanks corona) but I’ve pasted the article below. Hope that’s good and u enjoy and u have a lovely day!
Pete Makowski, ‘Def Leppard: The Leppard Doesn't Sleep Tonight’, Sounds, 6 February 1982
ROUGH NOTES/ROUGH NOTES (Prelude)
THE SOUND of Ross Halfin's bouts of self induced vomiting...Steve Clarke smashing his guitar in a Blackmoresque frenzy...The black dude with a gold tooth who offers out cocaine in a packed McDonalds at eight o'clock in the morning...Sleepless nights, trying to get some shuteye on the tour bus which due to the lack of any form of suspension feels like a plane in the state of permanent turbulence...Waking up fully clothed feeling like an over abused cocktail shaker...Nights spent paralytic in bowling alleys and truck stops willing the hours away – If the rednecks with arms the size of those slabs of meat that adorn butcher shop windows don't kill you, the infra red fried chilli will...This is life on the road!
LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT TEXAS RADIO AND THE BIG BEAT!
The Lone Star State is a place one could easily write volumes about and still nobody would believe half the stories you told them. It's a proverbial utopia and lunatic asylum rolled into one. Plenty of sunshine and healthy-looking women; in fact every form of debauchery is available at your beck and call.
This was the perfect location for Def Leppard to close their tour which had proved to be a long and arduous trek. The merciless blows endured during the six months of gigging are cushioned by the fact that the Leppard entourage are basically a closely knit family-like affair. Tour manager Robert Alan (brother of drummer, Richard) also doubles as sound engineer, and token Irish lunatic lighting man 'Famous' is a typically stocky, cheerful chap who spends half his time dreaming about his homeland where he dreams his days away with fishing rod in one hand and a proverbial pint of the dark velvet brew in the other. The band and crew eat, sleep and defecate together giving the whole thing a warm congenial atmosphere.
As I've mentioned in a previous feature the group and entourage are all so young it makes one want to retch with envy. And they are all far from being as blasé (as one might expect) in fact surprisingly enough they still come over as avid fans, although their attitude to work is surprisingly professional and they put every iota of energy they've got into their stage performances, giving headlining act Blackfoot a good run for their money.
After all these months of hard graft Leppard are beginning to reap their just rewards, meeting with ecstatic audiences at almost every show. In fact their performances are met with nothing less than fanmania from a crowd that is not short of wholesome looking nubiles who squeal in frenzied approval at everyone of Leppard's moves.
While the average Blackfoot fan can be seen lumbering around the auditorium wearing the almost uniform check shirt, hiking up his baggy denim pants, clutching some obscene piece of junk food in one hand and the obligatory doobie aka spliffette in the other, The Leppard-ites in contrast are a new breed of fresh faced kids out looking for a whole new brand of kicks.
Although Texas is supposed to be a stronghold for Blackfoot (who to be fair are a hardworking road band with no shortage of talent and energy and as people are very amiable, good time folk from Jacksonville who really enjoy their crazed life style – these dudes do walk it like they talk it) there's no doubt that this time round the lil' ol' band from Sheffield made a big impression on the locals and will be guaranteed a headlining spot the next time round.
Their best shows on the tour were undoubtedly at the tropical seaside resort town of Corpus Christi and in Houston – which is undoubtedly one of their biggest strongholds in Texas shitkickin' territory.
"Home Of The Encores" is the sign emblazoned outside the Ritz, which in reality from the inside comes over more like a pokey old cinema that should have been condemned many moons ago.
The backstage area resemble a derelict bombsite and the roadcrew were apprehensive about the voltage system, the main concern being whether the place had enough juice to feed the vast backline Leppard had put together for this tour.
At first a feeling of despondency hung thick, like an onimous cloud, in the air and people were beginning to draw straws to decide who was going to lynch the promoter. Feelings didn't improve after they saw the bathroom facilities, that resembled something that harked from the dark ages. But once they took to the stage Joe Elliot and crew demonstrated where their real commitment lay and amidst the sweat arid sawdust blasted their way through a set that had the audience frothing at the gills.
Powered along by Rick Allen's tireless drum work that gelled with Rick Savage's fluid and thunderous basslines, the frontline barrage guitar attack of Pete Willis and Steve Clarke projected the excitement and innovative soloing that was ever present with Lizzy in their Live And Dangerous days.
Elliot becomes a more proficient frontman as the days go by. With one foot on the monitor he beckons the punters on, working them into a state of euphoric frenzy while belting out the lyrics to such epics as 'Let It Roll' and 'Lady Strange' with effortless ease.
He had the people totally on his side during 'High And Dry' and rafters shook as the auditorium burst into a chorus of "Saturday night, high and dry". It was this night that convinced me without a shadow of a doubt that Leppard are going to be a giant force to be reckoned with in the next couple of years.
NEXT DAY
AS THE bus jerked its way into Houston the local radio station seemed to continually plug the evening's show touting Leppard as one of the Eighties' brightest hopes. Meanwhile, back in the sleeping area Joe Elliot sat leaning against his bunk perusing his evergrowing collection of cut out and bootleg records, proudly announcing that he almost owned the entire Matt The Hoople catalogue. The rest of the group attempted to catch up with the strain of non-stop touring by getting as much sleep as they could in between the bumps on the road that shook the road-battered vehicle with the effect of a series of land mines.
Like the rest of Texas, Houston is overwhelming and unlimited in size and possibilities. The general atmosphere seems to be warm and welcoming throughout the State although this place as it turned out seems to be that much crazier.
The first chore of the day was to attend an instore signing, a common on the road practice which involved the group going to a local record store where they meet their fans, converse and sign autographs. The ritual was performed at the gargantuan Texas Record And Tapes Store, which can only be described as a proverbial Santa Claus grotto for vinyl freaks, featuring a dazzling array of parapheranalia and owned by the very amiable and over generous Geoff Hamer, otherwise known as 'General Doo Dah' – who is without a doubt a true gonzo at heart.
As it happened the band drew a record amount of people, in fact there were more fans here than at the previous day's concert (which by the way was sold out) and that evening the group performed like troupers proving they had Houston like the rest of the US, so it seems, in the palm of their sweaty paws.
The rest of the night was spent celebrating with an end of the tour party that included an Awards Ceremony hosted by yours truly The Grand Toastmaster who presented prizes to members of this deranged crew for various offences some too obscene and illegal to mention in this respectable organ. This was followed by a totally incoherent and over the top night of debauchery, courtesy of 'General Doo Dah' which took myself, Rick Savage and Steve Clarke into the land of Never Never, making any episode of Fear And Loathing look like the teddy bears picnic. A champion finale to a fine tour.
THE INTERVIEW/A MORE SERIOUS FINALE
"We don't worry about England anymore, we're just trying to put across the point that everybody's missed out and that is that we've been shit on and people have said things about us that are a lot of bullshit." – Joe Elliot
"I always look forward to playing England 'cause that's where we're from like, but I don't think that it will do us any good at the moment because the kids, the kids meaning people like me, I'm not sure whether they want to listen to us at the moment...which is a bit of a shame because they're missing out on a good thing." – Rick Savage
WHILE LEPPARD continue to 'wow out' crowds in the US, they still seem to be at the butt of abuse as far as certain British media and fans are concerned. While groups like Saxon and Iron Maiden seem to be able to travel the world and lead a grandiose lifestyle and still retain that dubious street credibility factor, anything that Leppard do is regarded as being pompous and the general consensus of opinion from the average anglophile headbanger seems to be that they are egotistical popstars who sold their souls to the American rock and roll machine.
Which couldn't be further from the truth. It's hardly surprising that Leppard feel jaded and bitter with their audiences back home. I personally believe that they are producing some of the finest high quality heavy rock sounds around today.
They write songs, not just riffs with words loosely attached to them, with a sophistication and flair that puts some of their elder statesmen to shame and they knock the average so called NWOBHM ('scuse me while I wash my mouth out) into a cocked hat and it's unfortunate that they have to travel across the water to get an audience that actually appreciates this fact.
When we conducted this interview, the band were beginning to recover from the lunacy of an American tour which began earlier last year with Ozzy Osbourne, and the strain of the roadlife was beginning to make itself apparent. This nomadic way of life can be as strenuous as it is exciting and it may sound crazy when you hear a band yearning for the simple things in life like a good old English breakfast and a copy of the Daily Mirror, but it all makes sense once you get caught up in the insanity they've endured since the release of High'n'Dry which is already winning them Stateside acclaim.
Leppard are undoubtedly on the threshold of breaking America: everywhere they play the audience reaction is frenzied almost to the point of being rabid, but as it became obviously apparent on this drunken night Def Leppard still miss their home and feel slightly more than sore about the lack of respect they get from the press and punters alike, and seem to be constantly trying to find a reason for this unexplainable feeling of malice.
"As far as England is concerned people have got something against Def Leppard for purely non musical reasons," explained Joe Elliot, amidst a background noise of chinking glasses and people yelling for more beverage, "40,000 people bought our first album, but only 20,000 people bought High'n'Dry, you're not telling me the other 20,000 didn't buy it because they didn't like the album. I believe they didn't buy it because they read the article in Sounds saying that Leppard had changed their spots. They followed fads."
"American people don't follow fads", announced guitarist Pete Willis, "They go for what they like while England seems to follow trends. Foreigner and Fleetwood Mac are good, they write good songs while bands like Motorhead are a load of shit...don't say that because I don't want Lemmy to beat me up."
While I don't agree with the last part of this statement, I do feel that the GB is basically puppeteered by fashions which ultimately dictate taste and the majority of which come over as nothing more than a grand parade of lifeless packaging, including the new league of HM groups who I personally feel have a very limited lifespan with their generally dated and usually moronic stance.
Elliott: "There's two things you can do when you're in a band. You can go out and do what you wanna do, that's not trying to be pretentious to anybody and that's just satisfying your artistic temperament or whatever you want to call it for the want of a better saying. Or you can do things like Saxon...I don't believe anybody but Biff Byford would want lyrics like that on an album! I mean you're not telling me that he's writing those words so that everybody from people out of a mental institution to people with 'A' levels can understand them?"
"I could write lyrics like 'Denim And Leather', that's the kind of stuff a drummer could write. I write lyrics that are on a street level and that everybody can understand but they're on a different line. I'm not afraid to hide the influences that I've got."
It's a well known fact that Leppard were the first band of its genre to actually stick its collective neck out, undertake major headlining tours, sign a major record deal and venture across the water. Other bands as they pointed out followed after learning from their mistakes and generally avoiding the pitfalls somebody had to make as a kick off. They're also a rarity when you consider they haven't had any line up changes since they established themselves.
At this moment in time the group are preparing material for an album which will again be produced by 'Mutt' Lange. I wondered if they were at all perturbed by the comparisons drawn between them and AC/DC.
"I don't even think AC/DC are that hot!", exclaimed Rick Savage.
Elliot: "The only comparison is that we've got the same producer and because of that you're likely to get the same sound. We didn't use him because he produced a big album and in turn we thought we'd get a big album, we just think he's the best producer around. Anyhow, no way could AC/DC write a song like 'Bringing On The Heartbreak' or 'Switch 625'."
Savage: "We'd have been a big band in England if Mutt had produced On Through The Night because it wouldn't have got the slagging it did. It was still a better album than people made out for all its supposed commercialism for the USA. We were on the crest of a wave when that album came out and the reviews that album got, particularly in Sounds, were so bad and so anti the attitude bands like Saxon and Motorhead and their fans have got, that we totally lost it.
"If England had accepted us like they should have accepted us, things might be a bit different. I think we're a lot better than bands that are accepted more freely than us."
Here, here! C'mon you pommy bastards here's your chance to rectify...And JOIN THE ROCK BRIGADE!!!

The Break Up (pt.2)
(repost bc dumblr loves to do me like that and shit ain’t showing up in the tags)
primordialhandmaidan asked: You know the scene in the Notebook were Noah tell Ally "I want you. Always a forever, all of you" or something like that. Could you write something with that for Will and his S/O?
So, two things first:
1. I haven’t seen the notebook (I know, I know) and I only know like the basic plot a bit, kinda and had to hop over to youtube to watch the scene, which wasn’t that .. it’s not like it’s bad or anything, you know? Just, those kinda movies are mostly way too dramatic for me sooooo … But I liked it. I liked it enough that I can picture it with Will and that’s all that matters and if it’s your fav movie that’s fine as well :) Just putting it out there that I have never seen it from start to finish and therefore please don’t come for me if it’s not “like in the movie”.
2) Because the last Will thing I wrote got an incredible amount of feedback (thank you so much for that, I highly appreciate it!) I mixed the requests for a second part together with this one bc … it worked? Idk it seemed like a good opportunity, lol.
3) This got incredibly long, so I’ve put the rest under the cut :)
Part One | Part Two
It’s odd, you think. All of this is very, very odd to you and doesn’t feel real in the slightest. The noise of the other guests just fade off into the background, suddenly you don’t feel the cold glass of champagne in your hands an, miss the pointe of a joke you weren’t listening to in the first place. All your eyes can focus on is Will across the garden, starring back at you.
It’s odd and you think to yourself you’ve never seen him like this, never expected to have to. Will looks … well, he’s Will so the word ‘thin’ doesn’t feel right but he certainly doesn’t look healthy, he doesn’t look right. You can’t really put your finger on it for a moment. It’s not the weight, he still holds himself up high, shoulder’s square in a tension that he’ll probably never quite get rid off, to deeply impregnated in his mind from the years and years of physical training. It’s not his eyes, shocked yet totally focused on you over the yard, completely ignoring the host and her husband, still grasping the lightly blue package of a present in his hands - his hands.
The memories come rushing back before you get to draw a sharp breath, slapping you in the face with little details you’ve thought you’ve forgotten about him, how he likes this one cup because it just the right size for him his big fingers to curl around it to warm up in the morning. How gentle his knuckles brushed over your cheek, how he used this one balm for his constantly dry skin that smelled like, like - the lost memory jerks you back into reality, back to Will who’s still looking at you and the chatter of people around you.
You blink. It feels as if the world takes a deep breath, inhaling, slowing everything around you down to an almost freeze - before slamming you back into your body. Suddenly you’re aware of the noise and the people around you, every inch of your body on fire and before you know it you’re putting as much distance between you and Will as you possibly can - Will, who’s gripping the baby blue gift so tightly he crunches up the wrapping on the edges. You’re almost at your car, parked on the street out front, when you hear someone following you down the narrow driveway but you keep walking. You don’t want to hear it. Whatever he has to say, you decide, he can keep it to himself.
“Maybe he’s sorry.” A tiny part of you pipes up and you thrust your hand into your bag so hard, searching blindly for your keys, you tear your skin on something sharp. A string of curses leave your lips just as Will starts to speak.
“Y/N - ”
“Safe it.” Your head moves on instinct in his direction but you avert your eyes immediately, barely a glance with hard eyes and an even harder face.
“I just - “
“No.”
His voice drops to the calming tone that used to work wonders. Now it makes you furious. “Just let me -”
“I really don’t want to hear it, Will.” His name slips out in an angry rush before you can think about it and you instantly regret it. His face changes.
“Look, I didn’t want this to happen and I know it’s not fair, but -”
“No.” You put as much force into word it feels strong enough to stop a herd of wild bulls. Something inside you shifts and your barely kept composure crumbles. You explode. “No! None of all of this is fair and it’s not going to get any better so would you just - “You take a shaky breath, trying to lower your voice before you yell down the whole neighborhood.” - just leave me be.”
“I didn’t want to hurt you.” You feel as if you’re back in the damn kitchen.
“But you did, William. You broke my fucking heart and I’m the one who’s left to pick up the pieces you caused! It took me weeks to get myself off the ground so please, just leave me be and excuse me if I don’t want to be in your presence right now.”
“I’m leaving.” He offers and you can see it in his eyes he’s desperate to grasp anything that he’s able to do. “I’m leaving and you can go back and everything’s going to be fine.”
“No need, I’m not in the mood for a party anymore.”
Nothing follows. You know he’s still behind you, hands probably rubbing the back of his neck in a nervous habit. A part of you doesn’t care that he’s still standing there, waiting. A part of you does. A part of you wonders why he’s hovering all of the sudden. Will was never the one to push you when you told him to stop but now his presence is overbearing with something unspoken. Your hand hovers over the car door.
“I didn’t know you were coming.”
You fumble with your keys. “Yeah, well. Hannah’s been my friend for six years, of course I’d come to her - “ the word engagement gets stuck in your throat, it feels slimy on the back of your tongue. ” celebration.”
A painful expression settles over Will’s face, as if you’ve physically taken a step forward and slapped him. You surprised to not find any guilt about your words hurting him as you reach inside yourself and listen. This has been cooking inside you for a while.
“I don’t want to ruin this for you.” Will swallows, his voice becoming calm. The smoother he gets, the more angrier you get. “I don’t want you to leave because of me.”
You scoff. “You didn’t mind me leaving the house a few months ago.”
Another slap to Will’s face. You can see his jaw work, teeth grinding from suppressed emotions. You hope there’s guilt involved in the mix. “Y/N…”
“Don’t.” You draw a deep breath. “Just … let me go.” This time you bite your tongue before another snappy remark makes it past your lips.
“It hurts me as well.”
“I doubt that.” You mouth tastes bitter. “And I truly don’t care.”
“I think I’ve made a mistake.”
You freeze. Keys in hand, eyes on the hood of your car, you freeze.
Will breaths out and repeats. “I think I’ve made a big fucking mistake.”
You’re sure you grip the door so hard it has your fingers imprinted on the door for forever now. Thoughts rush through your head, an insane amount of questions but none of them make it past your lips. Will takes you not taking off immediately as enough encouragement to continue on.
“I was a fucking idiot that week and I … I got inside my head and somehow convinced myself that this. “He gestures between you and him. “Couldn’t work and I got - I was so sure we’d just end up hurting each other. I really thought I was doing the right thing but ever since that night it just … it doesn’t feel right anymore.” A rasp makes it’s way into Will’s voice and now your eyes sneak back to him. “Nothing feels right anymore. I thought this was wanted I wanted but … it’s not. It’s just not.” He takes another breath. “It’s you, it’s always been you. I know I fucked up, I know that now and I’m sorry. I did this terrible thing to you, to us and I can’t take it back. I just wish I …” He stops. There’s nothing more to say.
It feels like someone dunked you underwater, the flood of information simply being too much for you to comprehend. You can’t help blow out a breathy, unbelieving laugh. “What am I supposed to do with that now?” You’re eyes look around the driveway helplessly. “What the fuck do I do with that, Will?”
“I just wanted you to know. Maybe to know that I’m just as fucked up from this.” Will’s face has softened, his breathing coming back to normal and although doubt still lingers at the back of your mind he somewhat looks relieved. “It’s all.”
He’s stretching his limit and he knows it. His words echo in your head, over and over again like an avalanche rushing down your body and ripping off every band aid you’ve so carefully applied in the last couple of weeks, feelings purring out of the cut as you still stare at him. Will retaliates quickly before you work yourself into another moment of panic, taking one calculated step forward with his eyes steady on you.
“This is all, I promise. I will leave you now, you can go back to the party or go home and we’ll never speak of it again.” The thought, weirdly enough, turns your spine to ice.” But if you don’t want that, if there’s some part that’s still not done and doesn’t hate me completely …. then let me call you.” He studies your face, letting his words sink in for a moment before speaking up again. “I’m in town till the end of next week. And then again in a few weeks. Whenever you like.”
And there he is - the William Miller you’ve known for years, who just knows that this is as much as you can take for one night, who gives you time and space because it’s what he does, always suggesting, rarely pushing. His voice gets low and gentle, sliding over to you and cradles you in that warmth you’ve been so used to. His eyes are searching your face for any sign at all, eyes underneath thick lashes you remember so well.
“I’ve changed my number.” You mumble but even to your ears it sounds more like an excuse.
A small smile slips onto Will’s face and you think this is the last straw for you, before your knees buckle and give out but he wipes it off a second later. “Yeah, i’ve noticed that.” His hand slides to the inside of his jacket and he offers you his phone.
You stare at it. The sentence stirs something inside you, a tiny spot glowing in your chest, warm and … hopeful. You grab Will’s phone from his out stretched hand and punch your digits into the phone before it has the chance to grow into something more. As you hand it back your fingers brush against his palm and this time you have to bite your cheek to ignore the stirring.
It’s odd, you think pulling out and looking into the review mirror one last time, how you can be angry at him this much and still hope he calls.

Trip to Taipei/Hualien/Taichung/Puli, Taiwan (Part 6)
Part 1 here (Hualien). Part 2 here (Taipei). Part 3 here (Taipei). Part 4 here (Taichung/Puli). Part 5 here (Puli).
Day 7
Day 7. The last full day of this trip. It’s a long day today, waking up at 8am in Puli, and ending up in Taipei.
We went to A-bao again for breakfast. We didn’t eat there though. We took out our food and ate at the bus station. This time, I got a beef burger. It’s not too bad, it’s what you’d expect out of an above average beef burger.
Tumblr media
I also bought soya milk, which was again, diluted and terrible. I threw it away after drinking half of it.
We reached the farm around 9:45am. The farm is at the mountain top, so the wind is really cool and nice. But because the sun was up, there was the uncomfortable hot-cold feeling which I really dislike.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first area is a food area. We would be coming back here for lunch later.
We bought the day pass tickets, which were NT$200 each.
Tumblr media
The person selling tickets told us there was going to be a Equestrian show soon at 10:45am, so we headed there first. Along the way, we saw a shop with bees flying all over freely.
Tumblr media
You can’t see the bees in the picture, but there’s easily a hundred bees flying all over the entrance of the shop. Eek.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The view from the mountain top. Glorious.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sheep! Watch out for poop on the ground.
Tumblr media
Horse!
Tumblr media
The equestrian show stage. We were 13 minutes early and fortunate enough to find some seats in the shade.
Tumblr media
The emcee.
Tumblr media
A clown and his pony. This was the starting act. He cycled on a unicycle first, asking the audience to throw some balls for him to catch with a net on a pole. Then he divided the audience into three sections, asking us to clap after he clapped. For example, if he clapped twice, then we would clap twice after he clapped.
Sounds dull, but being a clown and entertainer, he did it really well. Very amusing 😆
Tumblr media
Then they moved on to a long segment of people performing stunts with their horses. It involved them standing on the horse, hanging upside down off the side of the horse, planking on the horse, getting off the horse onto the floor and jumping back on, and various other stunts. Later on a guy with a whip would stand in the middle of the ring, always staring at the horse and occasionally whipping the ground. It’s really loud. I guess it’s to scare the horses into submission or something? I have no idea.
Tumblr media
After all that, there was a photo taking session. You lined up in front of the horses and you could take pictures with them. The red boxes are for you to put money in if you want. I went to take a picture with the pony and the rightmost horse.
Then, we continued our explorations in the farm. We continued the path, which eventually led to the 487 step trail. It’s just a staircase with 487 steps. Fortunately we were going down.
Tumblr media
Made it to the end! My right shoe at the hole in the cloth near the front. I have no idea when or how it appeared.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, the area to the left of the equestrian show stage has nothing worth seeing. After going down the 487 steps, we were left rather far from the area we started off from. The nice way back was an elevated, side of the mountain trail which cost NT$50 to enter, so we decided to walk on the road for cars instead. Really bad idea, in hindsight. It was hot, there was nothing nice to look at, the cars sometimes came uncomfortably close, and sometimes where were plants in the way. Icky.
We started walking up around 12pm, and reached the starting area at around 12:30pm. We decided to have lunch at the area with stalls I showed earlier.
After ordering, we decided that we wouldn’t have enough time to finish our food, and changed our order to take out. Then, we went to wait for the bus. It was due to arrive at either 1pm or 1:10pm, who knows. The Nantou bus timetables were all very inconsistent, we’ve noticed. They’re all done with pen/marker and paper.
Tumblr media
We decided to buy some goats milk egg rolls. They cost NT$100 for a pack of nine, wrapped in three packs of three each.
Tumblr media
It’s not too bad, and because of its size and thickness, it’s much more flavourful than the love letters eaten during Chinese New Year.
As we didn’t know if we could eat on the bus, we waited until the bus was back in Puli before eating. We didn’t really have a place to go to eat, so we ate at the bus station, just like what we did for breakfast.
Tumblr media
I ordered some chicken with rice thing. Again, the portions are so generous for the price. I think the food item just said chicken with rice, so I wasn’t expecting all the other items that came with it. I think this was NT$60 or 75 (SGD$2.65 to $3.32). I forgot again.
Tumblr media
My friend bought bamboo rice. It’s served in bamboo. Pretty interesting.
After eating, we headed back to J House. I was feeling a little hot, so I bought another cup of pearl milk tea from that amazing shop yesterday. Just a small cup this time though. We called the guy to get our bags, and he offered to drive us to the bus station. What great service. If we had to walk to the bus station, we probably wouldn’t have been able to catch the bus to Taichung.
While getting into the car, I toppled my milk tea cup sideways, but not much spilled out since the only hole was the one from the straw. My friend gave me a tissue to clean it up and it was all good. Anyway, he drove us to the old bus station at first, which might have made us lose our bus. But somehow, we didn’t miss the bus. The bus was really crowded though. The driver had to count empty seats remaining to see if we could board. Ack.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back in Taichung! The bus dropped us off near Taichung train station. I wonder why they don’t board people at the same place.
It’s 4:50pm now, and we wanted to visit two places. Chun Shui Tang’s original store, and the Painted Animation Lane. Since Chun Shui Tang was on the way towards the Painted Animation Lane, we headed there first. While planning the trip, we also wanted to go check out Miyahara Ice Cream, which was really near the station. I’m not sure why we didn’t go. Too tired to think of it, I guess. Argh.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The origin of pearl milk tea.
It’s 5:17pm now, and my friend made a good point that the sky darkens rather early in Taiwan, so we decided to go to the Painted Animation Lane first.
The Painted Animation Lane is basically a lane with many drawings and paintings of anime, cartoons, and games. I took a picture of every single drawing there, but I’m not going to show all of them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There’s a random adult item in this claw machine. Lol why.
Tumblr media
I don’t know why I didn’t take a panorama of this wall. Instead, I took 5 separate pictures of it, moving sideways slowly. Facepalm.
Tumblr media
This isn’t the actual Totoro bus stop. There’s one further south of this place, which is an actual tourist attraction.
Tumblr media
At the end of the lane, some guy who was working at a motorbike shop told us we could come in to look. There’s a huge Luffy statue here (worth NT$150,000/SGD$6,644), and a huge figurine collection. There was also a work in progress drawing. Apparently everything is his son’s. Pretty cool.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway, that was it for the Painted Animation Lane. Now, back to Chun Shui Tang.
We reached Chun Shui Tang around 6:20pm. There were no seats at the ground floor, so we were led to the basement. I was told that I could leave my luggage at the ground floor, which I did. I went to retrieve it 10 minutes later as I wasn’t comfortable leaving it there alone. There are no valuables in there, but I would be really sad if all my merchandise was stolen. I mean, clothes are easily replaceable. Merchandise isn’t. Not in Singapore, especially.
I ordered sesame oil noodles, along with one of my friends. My other friend ordered Kung Fu noodles. They also ordered a pot of tea, while I ordered the pearl milk tea. How could you not drink the pearl milk tea at the place where it originated?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To be honest, the pearl milk tea was kind of a disappointment. The one near J House is better. The pearls here were a little hard, and I chewed on one that was harder than the rest. Inconsistent. The milk tea wasn’t as good either.
After the meal, I ordered their Signature Black Tea to go. This was also where cold black tea originated from, so I made it a point to try it as well.
Now, a walk back to Taichung train station. It was finally time to make the trip back to Taipei. It’s 8:20pm now, the day doesn’t seem to end. I was already quite tired before reaching Chun Shui Tang, and I could smell an unpleasant odour from myself. Ugh. The typhoon has passed, and it was a very hot day. There was barely any cloud cover (look at the farm pictures, the skies are so clear).
Tumblr media
Anyway, it’s a long trip back. First a walk to Taichung train station, then a train to Taichung High Speed Rail station, then another train to Taipei Main Station, and then a walk to the hotel. We didn’t get our tickets until we reached Taichung High Speed Rail station, and fortunately there were still available seats. We weren’t able to sit together though (it was a two-one split). The train departed at 9:31pm.
Tumblr media
My Signature Black Tea. I still haven’t drank it yet. And I dropped it on the floor while on my way here. I was wearing pants without pockets, which made my life really difficult. I already had to use one hand to pull my luggage, so accessing my phone, tickets, passport, etc. was really a pain 😭. I should have drank the tea much earlier. It’s now just warm.
11pm. We were finally at the hotel. We booked a four star hotel this time (all the previous lodgings were three star), but it was roughly the same price as all the other places we stayed at. That’s exactly why we booked it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I put my black tea in the fridge and went to bathe five minutes after we got into the room. I really needed a refresher. After bathing, the tea wasn’t cold, and I just gave up and drank it. It’s actually pretty good.
Our room was in the middle of the floor, so there were no windows. Instead, there were fake windows and fake lights.
Tumblr media
Since there was a bathtub, my friend went to play in it. I was wondering if that friend would fall asleep in the bathtub and drown, a trope commonly seen in anime 😅
Day 8
Last day in Taiwan. Our flight was at 3:25pm, so we couldn’t wake up too late. We decided to wake up at 9am. My friend ate cup noodles for breakfast, since it was bought on the first day in Taiwan in Hualien’s supermarket. It was originally meant to be a night snack, but we kept eating dinner at such a late time that snacking wasn’t required.
We walked out of the hotel and randomly turned down one street in search of breakfast. The hotel had breakfast, but it wasn’t free, and from reviews, it wasn’t good.
Tumblr media
We ended up here. I ordered a chicken burger. Again, can’t go wrong with fried chicken. I don’t know how it’s so good everywhere.
Tumblr media
I also ordered a cup of soya bean. They’re both pretty good. I mean how can it go wrong? I guess if you order soya bean from A-bao, it can.
My friend ordered some hot soupy thing, which took forever to eat. I was melting in the sweltering heat so I decided to go back first. They wanted to go to a supermarket they saw on the way, so I decided to go there first instead.
Tumblr media
Durians, and that’s a watermelon behind. I notice watermelons in Taiwan are all these strange elongated types. I’ve never seen such watermelons before.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After this, we checked out and headed to Taipei Main Station. We decided there was some time left and went to explore the mall on the other side of the station. My friend bought pineapples cakes, which are the typical food souvenir you buy whenever you go to Taiwan. I also bought a pearl milk tea keychain for NT$80. I have no idea why. I wasn’t actually interested until I realized that the pearls and milk tea in it could move. Anyway, there wasn’t many other shops of interest there, and we only had 15 minutes, so we left after a short while. Now, it’s time to head to Taoyuan Airport.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pretty views from the train.
We soon reached the airport. I had to check in my luggage as all our items were over the combined weight of 21kg (7kg per person). I didn’t really want to check it in as I didn’t want to wait for my luggage to appear after I landed, but ah well.
We haven’t had lunch yet, and the plane was due to reach Singapore at 8:15pm, so I decided I need to eat something hearty. We went to the airport food court, and I ordered ramen. Not worth it for the price. It was 2:25pm when I got my food, which meant that I had to gobble down my food. Not good. My friend ordered Dan Dan Noodles and pearl milk tea, and also had to gobble the noodles down. The tea was brought into the security check area, and my friend was told to finish the drink before proceeding 😅
Tumblr media
We walked fast to the boarding gate, and reached around 3:05pm. They were calling for passengers to board, and the waiting area was totally empty. This has to be the first time I’m so late to board a plane 😅
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is that Taipei 101? Who knows. The plane flew at this altitude throughout the whole flight. If there weren’t any clouds, you could see the land or ocean easily.
We soon landed at Changi Airport Terminal 1. One of my friends wanted to shop at the duty free shop, so that one left. Another of my friends had family waiting outside, and didn’t want to make them wait, so that one left too. We didn’t go out of the arrival hall together 😢
Anyway, terminal 1 arrival now exits to the Jewel. I didn’t know that. This is my first time at the Jewel, and I quickly and easily found the fountain in the middle. Pretty nice, I guess. I managed to take a panorama while the lights changed, so there’s two colours in the photo.
Tumblr media
I haven’t had my dinner yet, so I was looking for food. I headed to A&W first, but the queue was still long, so I went to Subway. The prices seemed to be inflated, as I don’t remember the prices being so high. Higher prices for an expensive shopping mall, I guess. I went to Burger King next, and the cashier seemed really busy and I didn’t want to bother.
I ended up at BreadTalk, and they were having an offer of three buns for $5. I bought my buns, found a taxi, and went home.
The end.
Part 1 here (Hualien). Part 2 here (Taipei). Part 3 here (Taipei). Part 4 here (Taichung/Puli). Part 5 here (Puli).

day28
Currently 4:13am holy i have soksksksskslslslslsososososososso much to write
Today first woke had a niceass sleep went to calvs finished my bio notes then returned for uqkiss welcome bbq oh my god
Long story short one of the best decisions i ever made it was sossosososos good met sosososossososo many nice ppl and instantly made a group with the ppl i was sitting with
So at first i sat next to this girl called willow white girl damn shes quiteeee pretty and we just talking and as dinner went on i started getting more hyped and cos i drank soju beer and stuff and kpop music playing i was pre hyped rapping and stuff and then the convo became group with me willow kitty leaih and amila
And it was pre fun throughout welcome bbq they played couple of games i went up each time AND FUCK MISSED OUT ON WINNING A UE BOOM BY ONE PLACE it was to drink a shot through this long ass thin skinny straw kinda thing took AGES came 2nd place damn it but ye
And this white guy next to me 4th best friends with uqkiss president only came to support friend but at first he was cool but he kept tryna make me drink more and more was kinda creeepy but the girls i had made group with willow and kitty fuar these wholesome girls were like nonomomp jayden drink water and even before the guy tried to make me drink more they saw i turned red and were like nah slow down drink some water jayden but tbh i was already refusing the guy and drinking the water myself but the fact that thes girls who i just met were being so caring fuar damn gooddd shit
but ye had couple of songs where i was just being complete dumass shoutinf raps and lyrics and stuff probably came off drunk LOL
But ye and then near end idk why 3 girls came over 2 japanese exchange reika and shiho and brissy girl winny
But ye the 3 girls were like hey come clubbing with us and i was lil reluctant cos the white dude was like ye comee so i just gave em my number and told em to tell me when where and ill see cos i was leaving with kitty willow and co first
ohH and saw daniella there too idk i get really big sister vibes off her i love seeing her its quite comforting shes like this chill older person whos pre sik
But ye left with kitty and stuff walked around myer centre and then parted ways
OH but ye bonded pre well with these girls all love kpop and stuff so it was v easy talk once we got into it
But ye then texted reika and shiho for deets and then met em at maccas in the valley and we just chilled talked until 10 and surprisingly convo was decent
And then ye went to sky lotus but Wtfuck it was empty so we left to go to prohibition ans that shit was LIT the lights above the dance floor were epileptic jesusususus and there were this dancer girls in bikinos and feathers and a dude playing saxophone it was FUCKING LIT
Then went to GPO and when we wnet in it was so empty but we went upstairs and thats where everyone was then we moved to otherroom where there was another dance floor and we went there for a while
Then after that went back to sky lotus and it had filled up finally so we went top floor danced there and then went to the lower one for better music and fuar it was packed as fuck and basically spent next like 2-3hrs alternating top and lower floors
But ye walked the girls to the bus stop then walked home holy my feet dead as fuck showered writing this now and yea
Fucking love clubs its lit and this time when i was at clubs i was completely sober didnt have a drink at all well i had a gin and tonic but that did nothing and completely sober entire night for clubbing
Holy was actually one of the littest most fun nights met so many good people
Kitty and willow and stuff i think that groups defs gon last cos organsing meet up and karaoke and meet at uni that kind of stuff already already made nicknames called me a fucking fairyLOL i haveno idea why they so chill they already bantering i was out clubbing and since i didnt reply to any messages they were like lol hes probably passed out from all the rap solos and the soju shots LOLthey are such funny ppl
