hey guys checking in from watching the flash instead of finishing my rewatch of the chute and uhhhh season 9 is bad.

#like don’t get me wrong it was never Good but in the first couple seasons it was fun #it didn’t take itself too seriously yknow? so the bad writing was like. it was fine it was kind of part of the fun even if it hurt sometime #we’ve been hopping around so I haven’t like actually watched late seasons in depth but they seem to take themselves so seriously #so it’s that AND it’s not well written which is a really rough combination #AND CISCO ISNT EVEN HERE. WAILING AND WEEPING.#I miss him so bad. and I miss his extremely toxic ex dynamic with the one character we’re watching this for.#not trek #i mean very tangentially in that I mentioned the chute but. whatever.

I love my identity, and I feel more comfort in it than if I were to not identify the way I do. it hurts sometimes, though. to know the average people in your life won't understand such a core part of you. balk at it, even. hiding that part of myself to other people. it's isolating as hell. I feel like a freak in the average person's eyes.

The Fight is an episode the really just proves that Voyager COULDVE done so much more with Chakotay but they really just. never do

#star trek: voyager #chakotay #this isnt even just a Chakotay issues its a general issue with how Voyager handles characters of colour #sidelines them and puts them in the background and doesnt do nearly enough with the writing #Chakotay is the most egregious example cause they handled him being Indigenous SO badly #Harry also gets it rough like his character goes NOWHERE #which is infuriating cause I can SEE the character potential for him but he never gets it #Tuvok gets sidelined so often but his episodes at least tend to be really good- few and far between as they are #but the lines they give sometimes are so. bad.#especially wrt more 'primitive' species #but again with that Chakotay gets it the worst #him always being the one who cant understand why victims cant forgive their oppressors and move on... like PLEASE.#just. head in my fucking hands dude #Chakotay could've been SUUUUUUCH a sick character he has so much potential in the early seasons and they DONT DO ANYTHING WITH HIM

#like Bang chan legit has bogan status sometimes and thats wild to me #I'm telling you right here right now if felix or chan went to the US or UK which is where a lot of aussie acts end up trying to go #bc the industry is pretty small down here and fair enough to want bigger success but they almost def be made to tone the accent down #like they're australian but they dont get to be steve irwin australian its like kylie minogue australian? cate blanchett...#so seeing idols actually keep the broad accent? hilarious #but its really nice though!!#like its funny seeing the other members comment on the aus accents bc theyre arent like. mean? like they find the accents #interesting or funny or whatever but they dont act as though its not right #australia isnt as bad as somewhere like the uk as far as classism around accents but we do still have a bit of that #and it is a bit like well if you want to be taken more seriously you should 'Speak properly' which is code for lessen that accent #its too rough and too course yadda yadda so seeing them still rock it #and rock it pretty proudly is really sweet to me

Last two games of the season for the boys today.

A's poor team lost all but one. They looked v cold. Because it was.

T's team tied to get second. T scores two goals and made a pretty epic save (also let in two goals).

Proud of both of them.

#m isnt used to sports stuff?#one of the (parent volunteer) coaches made their son cry unfortunately #took all his frustrations out on him #m said he considered talking to him after the game #and while m is right that it's not healthy psychologically or anything for the kid #talking to him won't do a damn thing #the coach is actually really good especially at practice #and the kid was playing fairly well #and after that incident the kid was watching his every step #but i am also used to years of coaches yelling at me?#doesnt make it right #but i also dont know how to explain it #i consider coaching again sometimes #but i don't want to split this team #some of these parents are SO ROUGH and loud and pressuring their kids #there are ways to coach without doing that #you can teach and be supportive and still win #i like a's coaches #also this would be fixed if we switched to club because paid coaches #but i refuse to pay that much right now #phew sorry

god i miss my obsession with heroes of the storm. i had whole entire headcanons for all the blizz characters and their interactions existing in the nexus. they lived in my head rent-free

#bro i would just ship anything #i still do ngl #actually. shipping is still kinda important to me #gets me through the rough patches sometimes #ramblings #I FORGOT THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A DIABLO THIRST POST BUT ENDED UP TALKING ABOUT HOTS INSTEAD #I just miss this game #i played in strictly AI mode with AI teammates #then they ruined the ai teammates and made them so brainless so i stopped playing #and lost interest #grinding the skins and gold was a pain too. it's very slow with AI games #games in maintenance mode. it sucks because it is a fun game #blizz's core audience just isnt into the MOBA genre #if they wanted to play MOBA they'd play league. but they wouldnt because they like Blizz games #I liked HoTS. yeah sure it's a moba. but it's blizzard's take on one #and i like blizzard's characters #im attached to them... i cant get into new ones anymore it's hard #hots

am finally back home and can say without a doubt that i am just fundamentally not built for long distance travel however the train was much nicer than planes

#that being said. pressurized cabins drive me insane a little bit #and also it gives you pretty intense sea legs for a While #like. the ones from the first trip hadnt gone away by the return one. so. might be stuck with that for a few days #we shall see #also ajr live fucks severely #the albums were already incredible but that was a goddamn religious experience #like. idk the way i think abt it is theyre more djs than a regular band esp w their performance showing the making of way less sad #like their music is very electronic‚ theyre making mixes of their own sound effects more than singing in one go #so like. the vocals were a teeensy bit rough at times #notably times it has taken me Literally Hundreds Of Hours Practice to be able to consistently sing along with #and times ive found its literally physically impossible to like. no matter what #idc how big your lungs are‚ there is no human on earth who can do that final run of karma in one breath #much less to An Entire Stadium After An Hour Of Jumping And Dancing And Singing Loud As Fuck #so like i dont blame them for that‚ you dont go to live shows expecting it to be 100% perfect anyways jwbdjsbfksb #the trumpet however. well she was certainly playing sometimes. and was very enthusiastic about her flares.#however. in most of their songs they use midi trumpets to my ear at least #meaning she was likely an addition specifically for live performances and in my personal band kid opinion #prooobably was not in any of the like. higher tier bands? idk just. a lot of the mistakes she was making were hitting as stuff that got #taught out of us the instant we joined any band beyond regular concert #so i would guess she was probably just like. a friend who happened to play trumpet in high school or maybe even just middle school #and they knew that the trumpet parts in their pieces were big and distinct enough that like they /had/ to get a live player #and just kinda. didnt anticipate the audition -> performance gap #like. her tone was really fried the whole time like she was playing as hard as possible #which. she was mic'd. have the sound guy turn her up.#the way they did it made it sound like she was using a mute but not. like she only got the bad parts of a mute from it yknow #her tempo and timing were. bad. theres no nice way to put that one it just Was Bad‚ like the trumpet runs in ajr songs arent. complicated #like. quite literally if you handed me the sheet music right now i would have it down perfect in a week at absolute most #and better than that player on sightread. like. we did so many sightreading drills.#like ill share my band kid creds if anyone cares but i need to emphasize this isnt me being braggy like. they genuinely just arent hard #fuck im out of tags. w/e i think only like one of yall also listens to them anyways so i can leave it there

#its more like. lacking in experience outside of a certain setting #he’s naive because he hasnt interacted with a larger section of the world. with ppl who have all sorts of struggles and problems #but ppl sometimes write him as an uwu baby who will be taken advantage of if his few friends dont keep an eye on him #i personally prefer the idea that bc so much of his life has revolved around being an archivist and also being aware #that something is Very Wrong with his world #that he approaches everything with a sense of caution and care that other ppl dont take. he’s suspicious at the same time he’s gracious and #polite #actually i saw somebody say once that he’d be reserved bc of how he came to be at the archives #alpha trion plucking him out of the wilds and dropping him a secure enough middle class job #his fellows would be suspicious of him. he would be used to ppl being wary of him #and maybe that could be part of him getting along so well with megatron in those early days #orion isnt dangerous or weird to megatron. he’s just some nerd who’s good at arguing with him #i think orion would come out of his carefully crafted carefully neutral shell and become a lot more animated #he’s still a but clueless like that scene about wanting to go to an amusement park of all things #but he’s not a stupid uwu baby that big rough megatron is going to ravish at the first chance possible #hm that got longer than i meant #id make it a proper post but. im shy #anyway this is abt tfp orion if it wasnt evident #babble.tag

I did indeed update, and i trust you'll know if you need to back off again, but i do feel compelled to warn you theres still a lot of explicit suicidal ideation and a second attempt being planned in that chapter!! However, that attempt wont be successful, and like i mentioned before, the ultimate ending for this fic is a happy/hopeful one, so hopefully thats a good reassurance that things WILL get better.
