everything you need to make your own personal beauty binder 🎀

disclaimer: this post is heavily inspired by @tomb-of-ligeia and @daphne-dauphinoise, and early 2010s beauty youtubers. it’s always kind to credit your inspo <3

inspired by the lookbooks and makeup charts used by makeup artists designers at high fashion runways shows and childhood bratz coloring and activity books. the law of attraction is at use heavily with this binder (writing down goals and wishlists)!

you should be keeping diy recipes you find in here.

*you don’t need a physical binder. some people function better with digital mediums. i prefer anything physical and concrete. but you can do all this in something like a notion, or your notes app, etc.

why? 🎀

a cute girly hobby (esp for type A, anal retentive, or analytical personalities/extremely creative, hands on people) to keep track of your routines, motivate you to keep yourself maintained, and figure out what works best for you. it’s nothing too serious, just a girly pastime for people that maybe buy too many products, slip up on routines, or don’t what looks best on your features. have fun!

what to record in your binder? 🎀

an intro sheet 10 different topics divided by tabbed sections: your personal features, makeup, body, fashion, skincare, hair, fragrance, nails, treatments/procedures, salons/spas/referrals/contacts 🎀

intro sheet 🎀

here, you should keep your goals, desired look, and how you want to perceive yourself.

your personal features

a chart of your color season. mine is cool winter. you can use color season for whatever, i choose to apply it to my makeup.

your natural body shape. this will help you choose the best clothes to flatter your silhouette.

a close up, unfiltered clear photo of your bare face. note your skin type, color, undertone, and any other things that stand out to you.

note what you wanna enhance and what you wanna improve. this will help throughout your binder.

makeup

put on a light layer of every lipstick/lip gloss/etc. you have and make kiss shaped swatches in your binder. note the shade, brand, and finish. then the mood/occasion in which you’d wear it.

swatch all your lip liners, again leaving the details of the product.

swatch your foundation shades. note the finish, name and brand.

make a sheet dedicated to all your “holy grail”, essential products.

swatch your eyeshadow palettes. i have all my shimmer pigments swatches and it’s the prettiest thing to look at.

do you have any go to makeup looks? your casual look, going out look, no makeup makeup look, etc.? do these looks and take high quality pics. make personalized face charts by printing them out and noting the steps and products you used.

take c*nty pics of your lashes after trying on all your mascaras/falsies. note the effects and when you would be most likely to wear them.

print out any pics of interesting makeup looks and products you wanna try.

try on lip combos and kiss swatch them. i’m doing this because i do amazing lip combos all the time but i forget which products i used, and it’s hard to replicate the look.

body

take a stick figure-esque picture of yourself and print it out. any outfit you want to buy, print and clip it out first and see if it’s something you’d wear and actually like.

are you experiencing any skin issues on your body and trying any products? keep track of the issue and how the products are doing.

if you don’t already have one, brainstorm workout routines and general wellness/fitness goals.

what are your fav body products? what products did you buy, and hate? TRACK THEM!

any detoxes/diets you’re doing should be recorded in this section.

record “beauty enhancing” foods and drinks here. mine include matcha, lemon water and acv shots.

fashion

outfit planning! take pics of pieces you already have and clip them out. (i’m doing this currently and keeping them all in a little pocket in my binder).

make a moodboard of your personal style(s). how do you want your closet to look? try to see what details, colors, additions are consistent throughout. when shopping, these are what you should keep track of.

print out your signature clothing color palette if you want to have one.

dedicate a page to accessories you have/want, and how you’d style them.

*this can be expensive but the fashion girls will prob love this* go to the fabric store and buy little swatches that you like. take note of what the fabric is and why you like it.

dedicate a page to all your signature details. all the little specific things that scream YOU and NO ONE else! that means do not write pink, girly, etc. here. that is not exclusive to you, hun.

skincare

take a current filter free photo (make it glam! tie your hair up in a ballerina bun and put on some cute earrings) of the state of your skin. if your skin is perfect, i’m jealous and how does it feel to be god’s fav? if not what problems are you experiencing?

log your current skincare routines and how they’re working.

make a page for your skin type, how it feels when you wake up and how it feels and looks by the end of the day and research tips to deal with your personal skin type.

skincare wishlist! list any products you wanna try and what they are for. sample them from ulta or sephora if it’s possible.

dedicate a page to the skincare ingredients your skin loves the MOST! mine are retinol, bha, and vitamin c.

i have a page for all the extra cute little skincare devices i want. on it there’s a stainless steel gua sha, an ice pack, facial steamer, and pink foreo.

hair

what’s your hair type, density, porosity and curl pattern?

write down any hair goals you have. mine is frizz free tailbone length caramel brown hair with honey blonde highlights by the end of this year.

what’s your signature hairstyle? do you have a signature? brainstorm here.

clip out hairstyle inspo from pinterest and insta and try to recreate all the looks!

what are your fav hair products? i keep track of the best curling creams and leave in conditioners for my hair personally.

take note of any trending products you wanna try.

fragrance

make a moodboard of how you wanna smell. after this, research notes and how they work together.

now track your fav perfumes, your most complimented, etc.

note what fragrances go with what occasion and how they make you feel.

make your perfume wishlist! my fav part!

nails

swatch all your polishes. label them and their finish.

what’s your signature/go to nail look?

do you have any pics of your fav mani + pedis? print them out and write the details you loved the most.

write down your at home mani and pedi routine and it’s frequency.

write your fav colors and styles to wear on your nails. mine are glittery pink, pale pink, white, cream, french tip and pink frenchie. a hyper girly twist on the classics.

treatments/procedures

take note of any surgeries or procedures you want done and what they do.

anything you leave the house to have done regularly, keep track here.

don’t limit yourself! forget your budget! what are some high maintenance treatments you wanna experience? manifest it.

references

write down the sources of which you find great info for beauty and fashion

keep addresses of your fav salons and spas.

keep business contacts of your fav estheticians, stylists, nail techs, etc.

as your husband retreats ( leaving you a love stricken mess in the bathroom ), you resort to packing a clutch with the essentials for tonight — debating on which lip gloss to bring with you until he comes back. 

“remember these?” satoru questions you softly once he re-enters the bathroom — sinking to his knees despite the tight fitting black tux that he wears. your eyes drift over his handsomely aged face, firm and muscled form, down to the pair of heels he holds in his grasp. their white leather and red bottom sole are all too familiar to you. a pair of christian louboutin heels fresh from the box. 

setting the pair of shoes down, satoru gently takes one of your ankles in his hold and positions it perfectly to slip your foot into the heel. “you wore them to our wedding, way back when. i remember that you spent hours deliberating between the kate model and the hot chick model. even still, i always loved how they looked on you,” he reminisces, lips ghosting over your thigh and thumbs smoothing up your calves once your foot is secured in its shoe.  “how they make your legs look.” 

he wiggles his eyebrows up at you then, making you snort under the dim lighting in your bathroom like two teenagers struggling to get out of their clothes after a night out. “satoru!” you squeal, pushing at his shoulder with your bare foot. “focus, we’ve got to leave soon,” your husband nods, working your other heel on while you reminisce. “i thought i lost the original pair in one of the boxes when we moved to the bigger house for the baby.” 

blue eyes shoot up to meet yours, holding so much love and adoration for you. “not too tight, right?” gojo whispers, rubbing at the back of your foot to make sure the leather material isn’t hurting you. you shake your head, earning yourself a kiss to the knee. “you did. lose them. i remember how upset you were, so i figured i’d get you a replacement pair. they might be a little different but—“ 

“but they’re perfect, thank you baby,” even after all this time, satoru remains the most thoughtful partner you’ve ever had. you swear to yourself that you’ll cherish him always, look after him always. even after life and even in death. “i love them.”

“i love you.” gojo says tenderly, taking a stand and offering you his hand all in one swift movement. “now cinderella, i do believe our carriage awaits. our Uber driver has just set a timer and i’ll be damned if he drives away with my damn money.” 

with that, you let your husband whisk you away for a romantic dinner — expensive and cherished red bottom heels clicking against the pavement while the wind carries your joint laughter as you run like fools for your uber (much to megumi’s dismay).

Ok from a transfemme to a trans woman - how do you makeup? I've been wanting to get into it for so long but the first time I tried was an absolute disaster, and I can't find any tutorials that go through the absolute beginner basics

tbh, you have to just keep on doing it even though it’s a complete disaster. i started my transition in 2020 but i was doing makeup and “cross dressing” for nearly 8 years before i considered myself to be trans. and it was years before i was able to do makeup to the point where i felt good about the way that i looked every time i did it.

that being said, there’s no guide that’s gonna be able to tell you everything you need to know but i’ll try to give as many tips and jumping points i can in order for you to try out things and figure out what to look up.

- make up is different for everyone - everyone has a different face shape, eye shape, cheekbones, jawline, complexion, etc. and the way to do makeup that looks good for you specifically is going to vary a shit ton based on those things. when you look up stuff, look up how to do makeup for a certain set of features. figure out what face shape you have, skin types for foundation, etc.

- there’s no one right way to do it - i do a bunch of things that are “technically incorrect” because i’ve tried it the “right” way and it just didn’t work for me. so i figured out something that i liked instead and make that a technique i used regularly. also even though people will say you’re supposed to do certain things, a different technique might yield a different result. as an example, conventional wisdom will say use primer, foundation, then a translucent or setting powder, then a setting spray. recently a very popular technique has been using moisturizer, then setting powder, then setting spray, THEN putting on all your other makeup and supposedly it lasts longer. there’s literally no “correct” way, it’s just whatever works.

- blend the shit out of everything. this is the one technique which pretty much applies for everyone. blend blend blend blend. i like using a beauty sponge. run it under the tap for a second (literally a second, you want it moist not wet) to wet the sponge and then use dabbing motions to blend your makeup.

- asking for help at makeup stores helps A LOT. i’ve had really really good experiences asking for help at makeup stores even though i was super uncomfortable with the idea at first. i found that a lot of people were judgement free and even very gender affirming even when i was presenting masc. and i live in the south!

okay now to more granular stuff - here’s the basics of what i would consider to go into a “full face” makeup routine - primer, foundation, concealer, highlight/contour, setting. eye makeup would add additional things - eyeliner, mascara/lashes, eyeshadow. lips add additional things as well - lipstick, lipliner. ill try to go through the entire process and add my fav products or two. (i should probably make this into a video series tbh)

1) primer - it protects your skin and makes your makeup stay longer and look better. use it.

- my fav: the ordinary - high fluidity primer

2) color correcting concealer - an optional step for transfemmes like me with darker colored facial hair. using a reddish or orangish color correcting concealer or lipstick over the areas where your facial hair shows through the skin will neutralize the shadow that shows through foundation. add a little bit, sparingly, blend with a sponge.

- my fav: la girl color correcting concealer orange

(the best one of these is made by dragun beauty who is a trans woman…but who did blackface…so don’t buy her shit)

3) foundation - figuring out your color is hard. look up a guide, ask in store, try a bunch of different ones. there’s a difference in coverages. full coverage means its made to cover everything. buildable means you need to apply and blend a few times and is good for if you don’t want heavy coverage everywhere. don’t use too much otherwise you’ll look like a plastic doll. unless you want to look like that then go nuts. blend the shit out of it so that it doesn’t cake up.

- my fav: juvias place bc it’s full coverage and actually has my skin tone as an asian person

4) concealer - this is different from color corrector and i usually do this after foundation. this is just a touch up for any blemishes, dark spots under eyes, pimples, shit like that. just use a tiny tiny dab and blend. this is also hard to get your color right so get help if you can.

- my fav: colourpop concealer, or nars concealer if you’re a fancy bitch

5) blush - i don’t really use blush much but blush is one of those things where you should look up a guide for how your face is shaped. positioning blush in different ways will help shape your face in different ways.

6) contouring - okay this is the hard one. i can’t tell you how to contour your face because this is one that varies a shit ton from person to person. the basic gist of it tho is that you are using a contouring stick, bronzer, or palette to add shadows to your face. when you put on foundation it makes everything an even color and makes you look flat, so contouring is basically drawing those shadows back in to contour your face. you can do this in so many ways even for your own face so imo, you experiment and see how you like it. typical places for contour to go will be under my cheekbones, on my nose bridge, sometimes under my jaw to slim the face.

- my fav: i can’t remember i’ll come back to this one

also i drew this diagram a long time ago to help myself get the idea of where i wanted to put it on my own face and i went from there. the brown was contour and the other color was highlight. i don’t do it like this at all anymore but it helped to get the basic idea at first.

7) highlight - the opposite of contour where you’re making certain parts of your face brighter to contrast the darker parts. typically goes on your cheekbones and nose.

- my fav: watts up by benefit

8) translucent powder/setting powder - okay so this one can either go after foundation, before blush, contour, highlighter, or here. basically it’s a powder that goes evenly over your whole face to help your makeup stay where it is. personally i usually do it after foundation instead of here but either works. basically you take a powder brush (the big floofy ones) and then put it all over lightly.

- my fav: nyx hd finishing powder

9) setting spray - it’s a spray that you put on last to help your makeup stay where it is. shake up the bottle real good and just mist it all over.

- my fav: tarte shape tape stay spray

Come In From The Cold by rebelsquad (T, 24k) is a Smokey-centric Coffee Shop AU, and it just warms my heart in all the best ways. First of all, Smokey is an incredible narrator, and I love how the author captures his voice in this so hard!! I also just love that it centers around some of the more underrated characters (Smokey, Alley, Shifty, Tab, Skinny, and Popeye), but also has great interactions with the regulars as well! The found family vibes are just *chefs kiss*, and it is also the perfect mood for winter ✨ I cannot recommend it enough!!

@sweetxvanixlla - midnight blue feels so right for you, my dear. starry nights and deep blue velvet cushions, something steady and calm but sparkles in just the right light. a cup of herbal tea on a tuesday night, and the thrum of a quiet city hums beneath your tongue. theres something so quiet and still about the night, that moment when people are talking and you dont have to participate, you just sit and let their words flow over you, enjoy their presence and energy and that feeling is midnight blue.

@xxluckystrike - girl, you are golden. warmth and positivity and laughter that itself is a kind of music, just as much as the songs you love and share and make art for. its the type of gold you feel on a late summer day, echoing up from the passenger seat of a convertible as you drive with your friend across a rolling field of wheat, of corn, of wildflowers. there's soda in the cupholders, and the carbonation matches the bubbles springing from the bottom of your lungs. sunny, summery, golden.

@malarkgirlypop - pink. the snap of a piece of bubble gum, the sugar rush from a strawberry lollipop, the pop of a bright shade of lipstick, quirked up into a smirk. your presence is loud and beautiful like the sound of a boombox atop a vespa, zipping through a busy beachside pier and delighting everyone who hears. pink is the feeling of just being yourself, unashamedly and wildly, and reveling in the wake of your energy.

@panzershrike-pretz - green, but that vibrant green of the sun hitting a park just right, and there's almost a glow, or a halo, across the field. it's the kind of green reserved for grass stains, made after the first spring day that's warm enough to go and spend time outside. it's the color of collapsing in a cackling heap after goofing around with your friends, and they're laughing because you're laughing because they're laughing. what are you laughing about? it doesnt matter, maybe its nothing, maybe its the cow chewing away on the green grass in the distance. no matter, because it is joy.

@footprintsinthesxnd - idk why but lavender is the immediate thing that comes to mind? something calm and soothing and steady, a breath of fresh air, walking through a field with the sun on your neck and the smell of the purple flowers filling the air. a gentle breeze ripples across your fingertips. it's quiet, but not silent, and the lavender doesnt break in the wind - it bends, and the flower seems to brighten in response. your energy is the deep breath that is taken after that moment - content and at ease.

@blood-mocha-latte - so this might not make sense outside my head but...that color a candle flame gives when reflected off a marble statue. something in the liminal space between warmth and cool, between hard and soft, between cold creams and whites and bright oranges and yellows. the ethereal quality of walking through a gallery alone, silent save for the feeling welling up from each piece of art you pass. the tiles echo this soft color, the flickering candle makes the shadows across the paintings dance, and one can't help but want to explore further, to linger with the treasures you've created.

@ronsparky - sky blue, but not the crayola sky blue. the sky blue of an early morning on the top of a mountain, mist obscuring pieces of the horizon and you could convince yourself you are the only human on the planet. a sky blue that rivals on being crisp and soft, that suggests unlimited possibility if you just reached your hand out a little farther. one can't help but feel that every small, new thing from this view is a joy - and its a feeling so wondrous and contagious that you cant help but spread it to those you interact with. the sky shifts, ever so slightly, but the color follows you down the mountain.

@georgieluz - red, but not quite. a bird flitters into view from where you sit on a bench in a forested park. its winter, and the trees feel bare and lonely. surprisingly, the bird isnt a pigeon - it's a vermillion flycatcher. the bird stands out triumphantly against the monochrome sky as if a beacon, or a challenge to some higher power that says i am here. its bold, its singular, and one cant help but admire the sheer presence of this small vermillion creature. but when it opens its beak and sings, the trees dont look so lonely any more.

@next-autopsy - you know that color when a fire burns down, and the embers are glowing with a deep mahogany? the edges of smoke dont obscure the color or heat from the coals, it only seems to make them more ephemeral. its a mesmerizing color, its the feeling where you want so desperately to stretch out your fingers and know what that heartbeat of fire feels like, and although the burn doesnt completely dissuade you, you still pull your hand back. the dancing mahogany glows a little brighter, then dimmer, as if in time with your breathing.

@onlyyouexisthere - the words "pale green" dont quite do justice to the vibes your presence gives off. the softest pale green? cashmere, the color of mint leaves reflecting morning dew? maybe that's the closest, the feeling of looking out over a snow-brushed hill, hands warmed by a mug of silver needle tea, wrapped in a cozy cashmere sweater. something comforting but crisp, familiar but fresh, nostalgic but new. something pale green.

@land-sh - one time, i was on an airplane flying across the arctic. it was the middle of the night, and i looked out the window and slowly, over the course of two hours, watched the sun rise. the sky started as a pitch black, stars breaking up the endless void, and slowly, one color at a time it lightened into a blindingly bright day. but there was a moment, about 37 minutes in, and im pretty sure everyone on the plane was asleep. outside, all i could see was this deep, vast purple. it felt like there could be anything and everything beyond that color, and i was the only in the universe who would ever see it. idk why, but thats the color and vibe that comes to mind when i think of you.

@samwinchesterslostshoe - okay so bear with me on this one - slate gray. the slate gray of a city on a rainy day, clouds and sky and sidewalk almost blending together into one entity. you duck into a coffee shop you never would have noticed if not for the weather. at first, you think the walls are just reflecting the color from the outside, and you feel a lonely pang. but then, you notice it - art, stickers, little notes of love written in sharpie and tucked in the space between tables. they stand out among the walls, and the absence of color makes their presence even brighter. and the coffee? so good. it's the best you've ever had, and you realize the coffee shop is just like the walls - you find beauty you never would have noticed without the slate gray of the sky.

Serafine x fem reader headcanons?

Finally getting to one of my fav ladies in the comic ... GN reader with some femme/masc specifications.

So there's a few ways you two could have met. The most obvious would be you being employed by the Marigold gang in some way - whether you're a triggerman, working their speakeasy as a waitress or entertainer, or perhaps at the Hotel Maribel itself. The former means you two have plenty of time to bond over, uh, illicit activities - while the latter means Serafine gets to bother you at work all she wants and you aren't in any kind of physical danger. She rather likes being your "dangerous" secret.

In a romantic affair, Serafine prefers to be the one more "in control" and on top, so to speak. A very femme "ladyfriend" would be right up her alley, but she'd also be a sucker for a big tough guy - just so she could be the one to get him to his knees. Although, she does like a gal in slacks and suspenders ... Look, she's a versatile bi queen.

Serafine is the sort of woman who you have to take in completely, or not at all. She doesn't compromise her true self. If a partner tries to get her to change, they're out before they can think about the next sentence. This means no disrespecting her religion or her brother, or their way of life that she has no interest in changing. This also means she does not expect to change you. If it works out, great. If you two have to part ways, well, she enjoyed the ride.

She's very comfortable with PDA, and loves to show you off. If you're embarrassed by all the attention, all the better, because you're cute when you're flustered. She likes to lay across in your lap (or place you in her's if you're the same size or smaller), steal your cigarette for herself, kiss your cheek and neck while you both laugh and chat with friends, and so forth. If you present more masc she'd take some of your shirts and ties for herself; if you dress femme, she'd prefer if you wear her clothes - especially if you're the type who dresses more plain or conservatively. Serafine usually shows up early to your place before a date (because of course she's driving you in her nice car), and you better believe she'll want you to use some of her perfume or her lipstick instead. Just a little possessiveness there, and that usually comes out when she's feeling more serious about you.

And on that topic, similar to her brother, Serafine isn't looking for a serious partnership ... but unlike him, she doesn't deny it if those deeper feelings begin to develop. However, she wants to be sure her beau is equally serious, because she is not about to be caught pining. She also doesn't casually flirt nearly as much as Nico does; she really has to be in the mood for a fling, and she can be picky about the person in particular. She wants someone interesting - someone who makes her stop and watch them for a while.

Serafine isn't big on cuddling, but sometimes you catch her in a mood for it. And if you're the one being needy and wanting affection, well, who is she to deny her little cœur? Again, it makes her feel a little more 'in control', and after a long night of shooting and gunning and running about and getting rained on .... yeah, this isn't so bad. She'll curl up with you. She's always extra soft, too.

While you're both cuddling, she appreciates the kisses, of course - but she also likes to mess with your hands. You figure out Serafine kind of has a thing for them; many times, she's told you that you can learn all sorts of things by looking at one's hands, and their palms. She likes to hold your's and observe them, tracing your palm as she thinks deeply on something. She'll give your knuckles a kiss, or maybe give a finger a playful bite. It's probably the softest and cutest you see her.

You'll receive plenty of nicknames, courtesy of both Serafine and her brother - but of course her's are more "cutesey", which she finds extra funny if you aren't a "cute" sort at all. Nico probably takes to calling you 'cousin' when he's referring to you more casually. If you ask him to translate what Serafine is saying about you, he just laughs and shakes his head. She might teach you Cajun French, if you ask nicely.

So while Serafine isn't the sort you should take home to your parents (though maybe a sibling is safe...), she's still a woman who considers your feelings and wants to have a good time. If you're up for a little casual law-breaking and late nights and bright lights, well, you won't be bored.

He stared at the different colors, leaning forward to rest his elbows on his knees, eyes darting back and forth. He was quiet for a moment, making you impatient for an answer. You were about to scold him for taking so long when he finally tapped one of the options.

"I like this one the most." You held up the lipstick tube, brows furrowed as you pouted.

"Really? It doesn't match as well as the others…"

But his intentions were not as pure as they seemed. He also loved satin lipstick because he loved how soft it made your lips, made them even more fun to kiss. He loved feeling your lipstick rub against him, leaving marks on his skin, letting the world know that he was taken by the most gorgeous woman he'd ever seen. His neck was his favorite place for you to leave lipstick stains, but he would never complain when you left them on other parts of his body, his chest, his abdomen, his thighs. Fav makeup products?

There are several that I like quite a bit. My favorite goth-minded brand is Black Moon Cosmetics - they have great liquid lipsticks especially. I also like Limecrime quite a bit (and yes, I know their founder is scuzzy, but she doesn't own the brand anymore).

I used to be really big into Melt Cosmetics back when they had more goth-type makeup, but they've gotten more conventional with time, which is a bummer. Thankfully I still have a bunch of their old eyeshadows and eyeliners that have since been discontinued.

Medusa's Makeup makes really good cosmetic glitter. The black liquid eyeliners I currently use come from Haus Labs and NYX. The white foundation I use for trad goth looks was made by Illamasqua. My normal pale beige foundation and powder comes from Tarte.

The mascara I use is Too Faced's Better than Sex Waterproof, and that shit really really does not come off. I'll still have remnants of it around my eyes after four days sometimes. I have never worn false eyelashes and I don't know if I ever will - it's just not for me.

I’ve come to request a Tristan fic! I’m my mind, Tristan is like trying to be a least a little sober so like I feel that he would be a bit mad at the reader for giving into the temptations of getting drunk.

Tristan sat on the bed of you’re suite, patiently waiting for when you’d arrive again. You told him you were going out but he had no clue where. He trusted you enough to not say anything about it. Although, you did invite him but he quickly declined. He hadn’t really been interested in getting crazy drunk anymore. And it was slowly starting to piss you off.

When you first met Tristan, he was a total party animal. He’d do it all. The drugs, the sex, the drinking, god he’d do everything he could to have a good time. That’s the kind of guy you wanted. That’s what you craved to have.

You got back to the hotel into the early hours of the morning. You were completely shit-faced. No, you hadn’t been unfaithful to Tristan. You just.. enjoyed yourself for once.

You sluggishly rattled the door to you’re suite. You hadn’t brought a key with you but Tristan was always up watching TV, so you’re presence certainly wouldn’t go unnoticed.

He opened the door to see you standing there, giggling maniacally. You’re eye makeup was smudged and whilst being out, you decided to wipe you’re lipstick off. A look of sadness yet annoyance came upon you’re partner’s face.

“I’m not even gonna ask what you’ve been up to. I think I already know the answer.” Tristan scoffed. You shoved past him and flung yourself onto the bed. He hated when you were like this. You could always be such a bitch when you were drunk, not the funny or flirtatious type. Just bitchy.

“I’ve got a life. Why not use it to enjoy what I can?” You snapped at him. He stood there, nose wrinkling in disgust.

“Yeah, you’re right. You have got a life. So why the hell are you wasting it by filling you’re body with all that toxic shit? Seriously Y/n, what’s the point..” He scolded.

You laughed at his comment. Oh, so he’d decided to turn into an innocent, soft angel now? That’s not what you remembered.

“Says the asshole who got me hooked on it from the very start.”

Tristan quickly whipped his head around. He looked hurt. He’d already explained that his time with drink and drugs was over. The both of you knew it was now quite a sensitive subject to bring back up.

“I’m clean, I don’t touch that shit. It doesn’t mean anything anymore.” He snapped back. You rolled over and began to giggle again. He wasn’t finding any of this funny, you could certainly tell that from a mile off.

“Why? Give me one good reason why, huh? Cmon Tristan, it was nice while it lasted. Who’s to say we can’t do it all over again?” He was getting angry now. You were pushing the wrong buttons and you knew it.

“NO!” He roared. “Don’t you remember how I felt during all of that? I don’t recall it being fun. From what I remember, it was just darkness. I did it all and felt nothing. I was ill. I was psychically and mentally fucking ill. Christ, I even managed to hit you!”

“I liked it.”

Tristan took a few steps back, now feeling rather uncomfortable with you’re words. He was devastated that you had tumbled into a full blown addiction. He’d always preferred you being sober. You could turn cruel and vulgar the minute you hit the bottle. He had slowly been watching you turning into what he was in the past. And he couldn’t allow it any longer.

He walked back over to you on the bed and kneeled down. “Y/n, just stop this shit already. Or atleast try. All I got out of this was pain. I did it so the pain could stop, but it didn’t. It just got stronger until I couldn’t fight anymore. Don’t you remember how many times I tried to off myself? You know it wasn’t just because of stress. It was this. Whenever I was like this, I just felt like nothing.”

You felt yourself become a little more serious. You did in fact remember the times where you walked into one of the bathrooms at a party, finding Tristan on the floor, either unconscious or laying in a puddle of his own vomit. He tried so hard to overdose, but somehow only lived through it and made himself worse.

You shakily lifted you’re hand and stroked his cheek. “Mm, sorry..” you slurred. He lay you down properly on the bed and cradled you until he knew you were asleep. Fuck the drugs. Fuck the drink. Fuck the fun. Tristan came first before anything, and that was something you’d never deny.
