I can understand people perceiving the hug to just be a hug between besties and that’s totally valid but just like anything to do with pazzi, it’s never really what they do but it’s what the rest of the team does that always gives them away or makes everything 🤨🤨 like with that hug, from the front angle you saw KK legit have the biggest surprised smile on her face when they hugged and the other angle, you can clearly see her put her hands over her mouth and was completely cheesing plus you can see ice looking over at kk? and giving a knowing smile. Then you obvs had azzi giving kk a light shove at the end to get her to stop. Bonus: aubrey’s smile as p goes in for the hug and the way q looks at them in the photo that was posted.

It’s the same with that clip. Like yes, the way they were holding each other in that seemed intimate but you could also chalk it up to them being drunk or something, but it was ice and carol’s reaction afterwards that let you know something’s going on.

I get that some people love to be right about something, but I don't think it's that deep, especially since this is a situation that has almost zero effect on our lives. howdy howdy (: I was wondering, because I didn't see it in my (admittedly cursory) search, and wanted to know if you folks have insight or headcannons about the timelines of Isshin and Kaien, since the timelines of bleach hurt my head (affectionate). Like, who died/went MIA first, if they would have been captain/vice captain at the same time, etc. I wondered if Matsumoto might have been a VC for a least a brief time while Kaien was, too? Idk, I think it'd be cute if Rukia had a little Shiba Connection with squad 10. I just find the six degrees of separation in osul society very fun to think about haha. Maybe it was Kaien who first crashed on the squad 10 couch during fillers to hang w his uncle, idk! (or maybe they didn't know eachother at all. I don't remember if it was ever mentioned...)

I feel ya about the Bleach timelines making your head hurt. I try not to think about them too hard, because they don’t make sense. I’ve just accepted that Shiba stuff happened in the *hand wavy* past. And that’s all we really need to know for the Bleach that’s presented to us. However, it is an interesting exercise to see how the vagueness of the timeline(s) can work out in fanfic. I’ve seen people put Kaien’s death AFTER Isshin had already disappeared and that legit had never occurred to me. I also feel like even in the Gotei’s culture of not talking about anything, if Kaien had only died when Isshin went missing, which was relatively recently by Soul Society standards, more people might mention him in at least passing.

Personally, I’d always assumed that Kaien’s death happened relatively early in Rukia’s tenure in the 13th. Like, maybe 10-15yrs after Rukia started? Kaien had to spend all that time training her and whatnot, since she graduated early from the Academy and only had Kuchiki-Kumon for an education. He needed to give her all that applied on-the-job training! I recognize that if Kaien died that early on, it would be a long time for a division to go without a VC but I feel like Ukitake would do that, and he’d get away with it because he’s Ukitake. I also buy the idea of Rukia having to mourn this guy for double the time she knew him (if we’re assuming that it’s been 40 years since Rukia left the Academy and our story starts).

Also if Kaien died really early on in Rukia’s time with the Gotei 13, I think it would explain why she feels so isolated from everyone. She didn’t have any companionship for a long long time, since Kaien was her only friend. If he died recently I think she’d be slightly better adjusted LOL. There’s no way he wouldn’t have dragged her out to make friends in 30+ years of working together. I recognize there’s a deep irony of “if the death were MORE recent Rukia would be better adjusted in the canon timeline” but you know it’s true. Kaien just gives the impression of being someone who was very briefly really great for Rukia and then torn abruptly away.

Plus if Kiyone took Rukia to her first living world mission… lmao Kaien would have to have been so dead at that point.

Side note: I also kinda feel like Isshin and Kaien didn’t know each other that well. Like, they knew of each other as cousin-uncle-whatever but weren’t besties even though they both worked in the Gotei. I got the feeling that Isshin also wasn’t a captain for too long before he went MIA, so he was probably toiling in the numbered ranks while Kaien was a VC. Kaien was the Shiba golden boy after all! And no one talks about Isshin that way LOL. I do love the six degrees of separation in Soul Society though, so maybe there are more juicy connections to uncover.

-Shinsou totally has the ability to mimic voices right? So he can do accents.

-when they met, Bethany (Snipe’s cousin) hadn’t married Dr. Shinsou (he needs a name but I don’t know what I want to use so I will take suggestions or scroll through fanfics to find one) and Izuku didn’t have her egg cracked yet. So these two kids who got heavily bullied are just side eyeing the fuck out of each other and being nervous as fuck. At least until Izuku talks about Eraserhead and Hitoshi goes !!!. Besties after.

-They don’t go to the same school but through Izuku going to Mustapha Private they meet Kirishima and Ashido. I am seriously thinking Hitoshi gains crushes on both for funsies.

-Izuku and Hitoshi have in fact pranked all of UA one time when Snipe had them there while he was doing teacher stuff. Nezu and Aizawa included.

-Hitoshi HATED Inasa when Izuku dated him but tried to be supportive. When the bullshit happened, Hitoshi actually did threaten him.

-I feel like someone tried to blackmail Hitoshi into dating them but Izuku out of NOWHERE would just slam down so much evidence of their bullshit.

Q when someone is interested in u how much do they txt you? I had thing this thing w someone for few months.. We talked everyday. Then got dropped after they ran after someone else… yet they came back to me. Big important notice here we didn’t meet in person yet but will be. Anyway I wound up talking to my bestie about it (actually the friend he’s now a bit weird about because her and I did fuck and I didn’t disclose) and she was saying like her and I can go a couple months not speaking to one another but if we ever need each other we pick up the phone and we’ll do holidays and stuff together and if our families come to town we do stuff all together like we’re VERY close but yup she’s right we do go 2 months at a time with no communication beyond insta story likes. So she said that and I was like “that’s actually true and you’re like the love of my life and this is some random dude so why am I even stressing” and idk I’ve just accepted he’s not big into texting. We live together so I see him every day lol but when we travel we’ll talk probably every second day and send like a meme a day to make sure we’re both still alive. (Pertinent because I’ve traveled into a war zone while we’ve been together fucking Slava Ukrayine but yeah I went lol as I should and he stayed like as he should and I did send memes to make sure he knew I have not been drafted or killed like once a day maybe and we spoke every couple of days and he kept being like “what’re the sirens?” and I was like “‘nah it’s the Russians but don’t stress if i go down it’s in my flat not in the weird basement situation no one is in” - idk if it’s all Ukrainians btw but Odessa people are weird as shit lol? What’s wrong with us?? Anyway.

I think given you’ve not met in person though there’s a different dynamic there. Magnus is already in the back room of the club when Barry arrives, doing his pre-shift stretches. He gives Barry a nod. “’Sup, man? Ready for another Friday night?”

Barry kneels down to his locker, popping some bones along the way. He’s getting too old for a bottom-row locker. “Ugh. No.” The locker pops open, and Barry fishes around in his pockets for his wallet and earpiece. He tosses the wallet in the locker and slams it shut. “Toss me a walkie, would you?” An object hurtles towards his face, and he fumbles to catch it, losing his balance and falling into the wall of lockers in the process. “Ow! Christ, Magnus, I didn’t mean ‘literally toss it.’”

Magnus grimaces as Barry struggles to stand. “Sorry, bud.” He locks his fingers behind his head and stretches his massive arms. “Anyway, maybe it won’t be too bad. Who’s playing tonight?”

“Yeah, uh.” Barry focuses a great deal on plugging in his earpiece, trying very hard to seem indifferent. “One of the local bands. Rode Hard and Put Away Wet.”

“Eugh.” Magnus puts his arms down, rolls his shoulders. “Don’t take that the wrong way. They’re pretty good, I just still can’t stand that name. No offense.”

“Why-why would I take offense?”

He furrows his brow. “Is that not the one your girlfriend sings in?”

Barry balks. “My… my… Lup… she’s… we’re not…” He feels the heat in his cheeks. He’s doing a pretty piss-poor job of seeming indifferent. “She’s n-not my girlfriend. We’re just f-friends.”

“Oh.” Magnus frowns. “Why not?”

“Why…not?”

“Well, you like her, right?”

“Damnit.” Barry shoves his hands under his glasses and rubs at the corners of his eyes. “I mean, yeah, obviously. I’m trying not to be so obvious about it.”

“It’s pretty obvious, my man. But that’s okay. It’s obvious she likes you, too!”

“What? No, she doesn’t!” Barry insists. He tugs at his collar. Is it warm in here? Clubs are always so warm.

Magnus raises an eyebrow. “Dude, yes, she does. Remember 30 seconds ago when I legit thought you were already dating? Seriously, just ask her out.”

“I can’t, I can’t do that!” Barry’s practically yelling now. “She’s, she’s way too cool for me, have you seen her?” he asks, much quieter.

“Aw, you’re plenty cool, Barry.”

“She’s in a band, Magnus.”

“Anyone can be in a band. But whatever. It’s your life. I just think if you like her, you should give it a shot.” He shrugs. “I gotta go prep at the front. See ya out there.”

“…See ya,” Barry returns, and tries desperately to shake off the embarrassment.

Taako lifts his head off the arm of the couch as Lup kneels and begins unlacing her boots. “You were out late.”

Lup yanks off her boots and shimmies out of her jacket. “The energy was good tonight. I wanted to hang out after the show.” She shrugs. “Sue me.” She stands, hanging the jacket on the back of a chair, and starts walking towards her bathroom.

Taako stands and follows her. “So you were out back talking with your boyfriend, basically.”

“Ugh!” she complains, and that tells Taako all he needs to know. She pours a liquid onto a cotton round and starts wiping at her heavily lined eyes, as Taako leans on the doorframe. “You know he’s not my boyfriend.”

“I had kinda been hoping you’d finally asked him, and you were gone because you were spending the night at his place, know what I mean?” Lup tosses a makeup-stained cotton round backwards at Taako. He bats it out of the air before it hits him. “Ew, grody! I’m just sayin’, I don’t get why you don’t just talk to him.”

She sighs as she lowers her face to the sink. “We want different things outta life, Taako.”

“So you have talked, then?” he asks as Lup splashes her face with water.

“Yes. I mean, sorta.” Taako raises an eyebrow, and Lup huffs, standing up. “Not about, like, my feelings, no.” She dabs at her face with the hand towel. “But he already told me he’s getting tired of nightlife and that’s, like, all I do, so I don’t see the point.”

“The point, Lulu, is that it’s clearly not okay with you and I’m honestly getting sick of watching you sit around and mope about it all day.”

“I don’t—"

“You do, and it’s annoying.” Taako crosses his arms. “I mean, honestly, Lup, if you just talked to him, I bet you could work something out.”

“But what if he doesn’t want to?” she asks, pouting.

“Then to hell with him.” He shrugs. “But at least you’ll have an answer.”

“Ugh. I dunno, T.” She rubs her eyes. “I’ll think about it.”

“Cool. You should think about taking a shower, too.” Taako quips, turning to walk away. “You smell.”

Apritello Express Evidences, part 2

Khem-khem, ladies and gentlemen, we shall continue out praising Apritello's episodes. And yeah, this part will be dedicated, in entirety just one episode.

Purple jacket. April and Donnie's episode.

I really love this piece of masterpiece, because it show April and Dee relationship, better reveals them as characters, and demonstrates their connection. (My previous points at this whole situation)

The episode begins with Donnie sneaking into April's school under the pretext of helping her. Soon, April stated the reason why she called D - her science computer project. Actually, she could take a photo of the code and sent it to Donatello, and I'm sure, he would send her the correct one right away, he's coder, he's prodigy, no probbles.

But still, April just asked him to come over and help her without stating any reasons. And he, indeed, came at speed of the light.

I want you to understand what exactly does that mean.

First: April is aware how much Donnie is into human culture. He wants to study in normal human school, do some average teen stuff. Especially, he is loving school and science-related stuff, all these science school projects, visits to botanical gardens, experiments and laboratory work. Because it's his field. It's exactly his domain, where he's good at. His family does not share his interest in science, and April is only one who can understand him. Probably.

Also, April know, how badly Donnie wants to go to school, which gives him an excuse, even if not the most solid one, but an excuse, nevertheless, to visit her school again.

Why again?

Because he has no problem navigating there. Donnie went directly to April's computer class.

He loves this place. And he'd already helped April with her projects.

Even so, knowing that every time she asked guys, especially Don, for help, it turned into a cataclysm, April still called him to help.

It's just a weird, indirect way to say, " Let's hang out, I know how much you like this whole situation with science, school and etc. Here ya go, buddy"

It seems like April did that to make something pleasant to him, something small, but nice to make him feel better. Because, as I state before - he likes to help April (praise, doing something useful for April - still counts as a motivation) and he likes school.

Second: khem-khem, D came at her school, as it seems, right away she called/texted. He didn't even know the proper reason, but c'mon: April ask for help, plus, her school. Sounds legit, don't you think?

Anyway, April has always been being the reason and excuse for teetles, but especially for Donnie. Clear? Clear. Good.

Donnie also tends to not think things through when he is excited. Because he went at the daylight in place, full of people just to help April.

ROTTMNT shows us how turtles were really afraid of human reaction and possible consequences. They have plan "H" to pretend they are going to Galaxy Con, brothers have explanation why they look weird and it's definitely not because boys are mutants, uh-huh, no, plus, guys go on surface at evening or night hours, when there are not so many people, and it's dark, obviously, to cover them and keep unseen.

Yeah, of course, Donnie seems more capable then his brothers to handle the surface (he has cash, D's dressed up as old ladies more than once, according to Leo, he was in April's school before, so yeah, no big deal) and I suspect that his friendship with April is one of the reasons.

Third: do you remember how April worried about looking "normal" when she was finally invited to a school party? She even forbade Mayham to appear nearby, just not to look like the lizard boy. Because cool kids don't bring pets to school. April doesn't have many friends, or rather, there are none at school, and she's been trying to solve this problem by getting close to Taylor Martin, the coolest girl in school.

And April O'Neil just calls Donatello, an objectively strange guy (since when is it normal to be a fan of school? Pretty questionable) in place, where her reputation is hanging in a balance. Our girl does not try to hide Dee, as it usually shown in shows for kids, and April do not pretend that she sees him for the first time in her life because, you know, Donnie will catch everyone's attention being himself and may embarrass her in front of her classmates. But no - April says with all her actions: "Yes, I know him. Yes, that dork is with me. And I don't give a damn about your opinion. Your problems, not mine. And yeah, I'm fine with him being here."

I mean it, guys. The devil is always in the tiny details.

The way they behave around each other.

Donatello is way more, MORE relaxed and just being himself: dramatic dorky nerdy ninja with current obsessions. The way he sneaked in school and April's classroom, the way he behaves alone with her is contrasting the way of his attitude while his brothers are near.

Don has a specific way to shown up. Instead of texting her, Donnie used shurekens. Yes, he almost fell off the lamp, but still, that's... quite an entrance he makes there.

April worries about him, when he fell from ceiling.

Our girl feel relaxed enough around Donnie, so she winks at him.

A wink is a fairly casual gesture that shows some expression of sympathy, trust, and togetherness. It's both good for saying "We're in same boat, we're team" and show the playful attitude towards someone. Isn't that an indicator?

Ironically, that being the best friends April and Donnie do not have any secret handshake/brofist/special greeting, as it usually the besties have at kid's series. Like Kendra and Jeremy have.

I can do only one possible logical conclusion: their relationship is far beyond "friends," "best friends," and "family".

Btw, about this certain phrase about secret five.

- Nay, fair April. A secret five[...].

Once again, nice wording, Donatello. Fair April? Maybe I'm too critical, but often when someone wants to convince their interlocutor and at the same time show one's condescension to them, it's usually uses "my dear ..." or something like that. I understand that semantically the difference is not very big, but in the first case, you can feel Donnie's personal attitude, even though he uses a book word. The second is just formal politeness, which emphasizes the difference between the rightness of the disputants.

This phrase were interpreted on official Russian dub as (okay, it's really hard to choose the correct word, because there's a lot of synonyms in English that sits quite well, while on Russian it's just one word, damn) "Нет, милая (No, honey/sweetheart )". Actually, a strange choice of wording, 'cause this is not what usually friends use to say to each other. We prefer use words like " my darling", "my dear", to demonstrate leniency. And again, most often this prerogative belongs to the older generation. Russians rarely throw around such words as "honey", "dear", "sunshine", because this deprives these endearments of any meaning, and a person using them, as a rule, is familiar. Of course, there are people who use them on a regular basis, but I HIGHLY doubt that Donatello is one of them. It's not his style.

But still, maybe I just too critical at this point.

April, as it is shown, have some kind of power to cool and calm him down and bring Donnie back to life reality.

1. Don awakes from his daze while heard April's voice

2. He's literally coming back to life, when April said about his broken jetpack.

3. Dee obediently interrupts his touching farewell to the jacket when April yells at him.

Oh, and his face. I remind you, fellas, we're talking about Donatello, "I really do not like to express emotions"-guy and "I will die if someone broke my bAbEyS"-guy.

And what do we see? Donnie's emoting. And feels free to do that. He's even drooling. (What seems kinda interesting without context, if you're understand what I'm talking about ;))

Dee doesn't seem angry about broken jetpack. And his wide smile, while he's assuring April he can fix it? A few minutes ago, he was steamed when his stuff was stolen, but when the jetpack was broken, he doesn't even raise an eyebrow. Very eloquent.

April is his support

April also supports Donnie whatever he's up to. Yes, she hadn't been excited when Othello had expressed a desire to join the club. However, she also introduced him to Kendra and company. Yes, she showed by her whole appearance that she did not share his joy, but nevertheless, our loyal captain O'Neil was there for him, by his side all this time.

And her sweet facial expression. From "Srsly? Join this jerks?" to "If you dare to even think about to hurt him, I'll smash you".

And one more cute detail about Dee. Even if he does whatever he wanted so badly, Don constantly looks around at April, looking for her approval.

- Be honest, April, do I look fantastic, or SUPERBLY fantastic?

- You look like you drop a juice box in a laundry. (Play nice, April, don't be mean)

He cherishes her opinion.

April had even called him late at night just to, technically speaking, say that his tech were stolen. And what's the big deal with all his outfit? It's late night, they can just sneak out into Nakamura in their usual form. But noooo, April give a special ride on her bicycle. Just. You know. Our girl carried her own weight and his all the way without stopping. And then she went up 53 + floors running non-stop because Donnie's equipment was stolen. And then she had to chase the her classmates, dodge and jump out of the window. Because Purple dragons stole Dee's tech. Like shooting fish in a barrel, no big deal at all.

And it's definitely not because he will be totally crashed or he'll do stupid things during his anger, which will then come out sideways.

And April comes along with him to very end.

By the way, their phone conversations.

Donnie is the very case when "Call at any time of the day or night and I will pick up the phone".

When April called him when he needs D's help with Albearto, when something is definitely going on behind.

As it says in transcript of the episode:

[April takes out her phone, scrolls to Donnie’s listing and calls him. Donatello appears on screen. Behind him a flying microwave wearing boxing gloves shoots lasers at his brothers.]

Don: "You are conversing with Donatello."

April

[Crouched on floor in hiding.]

Dude, I need your help."

Don: "For you, anything. As long as it does not involve bees, or spiders, or beach balls.

[There’s an explosion behind him and his brothers cry out, which he ignores.]

And yeah, he took her incoming immediately, he ignores absolutely and totally everything around him, because... April? Expositions, bloody flying microwave bot turned to destroy mode, his brothers screaming and being in life-threatening situation? Naaah, it can wait.

Donatello was at Todd's, building "the puppiest place on Earth" and was very enthusiastic about to finish this thing. But he paused anyway to answer April.

We already know how obsessive with work Don can be: if something interesting gets into his field of view, he begins to do it all day long. Remember "The Purple Game" - a very revealing case. Yeah, we weren't shown how much Donnie is into engineering, but I can guess that point remains the same.

April called him at late night and Donnie picked up the phone.

April, unlike Donatello, is a teenager who is burdened with social relationship such as family, school, and work periodically, which implies a more or less strict schedule to follow and some conventions, such as " April, you can't go out late at night to catch robbers, you are underage and you have to go to school/work tomorrow). However, she was watching the news late at night, so she called Dee. ( I have a lot of questions, but I'll never get answers, as it seems)

D, in turn, doesn't have so many contacts with the outside world. I highly doubt that anyone else outside of the family and April has his number. And yet, when he hears the call late at night he takes it. Yes, he had awaken from the nightmare, but still.

And what's up with his usual "You're conversing with Donatello"? He didn't even understand what's going on, as it seems, he's too sleepy to play his usual image and playfully attitude as we could see in "Hypno Part Deux" and "War and Pizza".

Adorable couple-like D&A arguing

April very rarely uses "I told you so" against anybody, or rather, this is almost the only case. This phrase is more suitable for Leo or Donnie, and you know," I told you so! " we usually use on people we know well, and we want to tease 'em about them being wrong. Which, in fact, once again highlights and proves how close D&A are. And I don't even get started about the fact that this is more like a couple's quarrel, not a friend's.

And one more time - in the end, when April suggests using the jacket to stop Kendra.

Their teamwork

I stated that before, I'll tell it one more and more times. The chemistry of their team interaction is incredible. It's as if they can feel each other, and each knows what the other is capable of doing in the next moment. April easily adapts to Donnie's attack, realizing his plan.

Donnie also throws them both out of the window in order to continue the pursuiting Kendra on the jetpack. Don is one hundred percent sure of April, that she will understand what he wants to do, Dee trusts her with his life without hesitation, and she has never used his jetpack. He just puts her before the fact: April will be using the tech.

Up for Donnie!

I really like how this scene was made. Donatello struggles with his own tech, somewhat he made by himself, having invested almost whole himself and his soul, but what "betrayed" him in end. When Dee finally managed to shake one of his battleshell, which almost choked him, Donnie feel so scared and unsecured. We can see his anxiety - Dee's coaching position with covering his head with his hands and tucking his knees.

Defenseless, helpless, and mostly lost, and then, just in time - hero comes to save his life. She uses Donnie's name as battlecry, look how furious she is.

Funny fact: on Russian dub April yells "Don't touch Donnie! (how dare you, madafaka)

April fits in Donnie's type of girls. She's cute (obvious) and mean (not so obvious).

I can't say that meanness is the main feature of April's character, as we can say about Kendra. But this personality trait is still present in her and sometimes it does not manifest itself so widely. April's meanness is not so pronounced, it is much softer and smoother, and it is not exposed.

But April becomes really mean when someone messes up with Donnie.

She's his support and prop. Literally. Just look at first frame, okay-okay, jokes aside

She's genuinely enjoying of kicking bad guys ' asses, even letting go of witticisms and barbs.

Last scenes

Don survived a rough night: he was used, his tech was stolen, so he and April had to chase the satin robed punks. Donnie was hit in the head with a hammer, he fell from a bird's-eye view, passed out and then his battleshell tried to strangle him. And April is here to comfort him, to cheer him up.

Yes, we don't get any hugs (because it's kids show, bleh), the tactility is kept to a minimum, except for April's comforting hand on his shoulder, but they don't even look at each other. But the softness of her voice, the intonation with which she utters a phrase (that is usually sent to the friend zone, but "pal" is really neutral word, and the most important how she said that) turn the scene upside down. It is not what April did to comfort him matter, it's how she did this.

I said "yes" to you way too often

April mirrors Donnie with his "Anything for you". Yes, of course, she said this with a certain amount of grumbling, but her voice and her demeanor suggest otherwise - she is not at all averse to going to giving in him.

im so here for otis & ruby, the relationship makes both characters more interesting and less unbearable, plus they are so much better than maeve & otis, i can actually ship them.

i love cal. i want to see more of them. it was heartbreaking to see the bathrooms aka their safe space being demolished.

since season one adam has been my favorite character (after maeve), and i’m so happy to see his development. he makes me go 🥺 every time he’s on screen.

1/ there's a sort of love triangle between two guys and a girl. the situation is that guy 1 and 2 are childhood besties that spend all their time together but one day a girl becomes part of their friend group. guy 2 gets a crush on her immediatly and guy 1 get PISSED and for a good almost 10 eps it REALLY looks like he's jealous that guy 2 pay attention to her, and not... what they meant to convey, that he supposedly has a crush on her also

2/ the boring het couple are together now BUT as soon as they are there's a jealousy ep (couldn't wait a bit longer to make them look like a real couple even) and THE DUDE. get jealous. in the MOST gay way like. talks about his "rival" like "he's so cool, and nice, and handsome, i get why she would prefer him to me" like do you hear yourself boy????? he tries to do the "angry boyfriend" thing of talking to the dude but gets flustered instead cause the guy just too handsome like COME ON writers

3/ in one ep he runs away and the only person he tells/says goodbye to is one of his guy friend (not even bestie, but another i can totally see him have a crush on), and not his "gf"

4/ other ep bestie isn't here and everyone is midly upset... expect main dude who is VERY upset, like nothing can cheer him up upset. gay boy. he's so upset his other friends are annoyed about it

5/ same ep: cause bestie isn't there they have to find another player and mc decide to pick their nemesis, his teammates are like "you lost your fuckin mind" but he goes on a monologue about how nemesis deserves a chance and he can relate to him and shit like BOY 

if there's no enemy to lover fic about these two, the fuck is this fandom doing

it's like poetry... the closeted gay boy who feels he would be rejected at any moment if his peers knew about him, and while he's currently popular, can't help but be stressed about this possibility so much he doesn't really fit in (from his point of view) and looks at how his nemesis is rejected by everyone for being openly himself (tho not about his sexuality) and think "we're the same" hence why he reach for him even if it means all his friends being mad at him... for the hope that if he gets rejected just like the nemesis one day, maybe at least one person would do the same thing he just did for that dude

“Reunited and it feels soooo good!!!!”  Robin held up her glass  clinking it with Bebe and Jili.

“We missed you Robin, it hasn’t been the same.” Jili smiled at Robin.

“But you know we know how to keep the party going.”  Bebe’s voice was nonchalant.  

“Damn, missed you too Bebe. No one does, I don’t care, but I really do care a lot like you Bee.”  

Jili raised her eyebrow.

“Huh.  It’s funny you mentioned that Robin, because Bebe’s currently in this thing….”

Bebe interrupted her.

“Enough about me, let’s hear about you.  How’s married life Robin? Any talks of a little Rashad or little Robin in the future?”  

“We’re honestly playing that by ear.  Not stressing ourselves out about it.  Well it’s not like I expected.  First, I haven’t killed him yet.  It was an adjustment, I won’t lie.  I went from living on my own to living with someone.  Someone who doesn’t exactly put things where I think they logically should go.    Have I wanted to cut him? Yes. Have I gone through with it?  Nope.”  

Bebe and Jili laughed.

“But it’s different you know? He’s my rock and my support system.   I had a really shitty day at work the other day.  He had a glass of wine and an aromatherapy  bubble bath waiting for me.  

Yes grand gestures are fantastic and all, but the devil is in the details.  The little things are most important.  Like, something as simple as making sure I don’t run out of my favorite coffee creamer. For our anniversary he made breakfast in bed.  Our two month anniversary.  I didn’t even know there was such a creature!!!”

As Robin talked both Bebe and Jili listened intently to her.  They were so happy that their friend was so content in her marriage.  Both had liked Rashad from the moment they met him, even though Robin wasn’t sold on the idea of him then.  

“That’s exactly what I want.”  Jilian whispered in awe.

Both of them did.  Jilian was a lot closer to the possibility of having it.

“It’s going to happen.  I know it.  I know it’s cliche and corny and Bebe, I know you’re going to roll your eyes when I say it.  I wasn’t looking for him and he found me.”  

Over the night they spent catching up on life and love with their bestie.

“I’ll make more time. I really missed the two of you.  It’s not the same.  Yes I love Rashad, but I love having my girl time with the two of you.”  

They pulled each other in a hug, and continued laughing and drinking.  

Bebe glanced down at her phone. Her eyes widened at the emojis on the text.

“I’m sorry guys I have to go.”

Bebe quickly hugged both women and was gone within a minute flat.  

“Geez, what got into her?”  

“More like who.  And his name is Leo Rys.”

“You know,  you thought you were being cute buying me a robe like yours for my place.   This is legit the best gift ever.”

Leo answered the door in her robe.    

“Are you freeballin’ right now Leo?”  

“Hell yes I am, and you have too much clothes on.  Not that i’m arguing about that dress, and those heels. Damn.  Where were you before you came here?”

“A hot date.”

Leo smirked.

“Apparently, not that hot, because he couldn’t close, because you’re here with me. I call you on your bullshit.  Where were you really?”

“Dinner with the girls.”  

He smiled.

“Girl’s night. You look beautiful Bee.”  

"Thanks. Now I’m ready for dessert.”

Bebe followed Leo to his bedroom.  

The next morning Bebe was up early, as usual.

“Hey go back to sleep for a bit.  I got you a few things here for you so you don’t have to get up yet.”  

“What things?”

“Stuff I’ve seen at your place. Shower gel, toothpaste, you know stuff.  So you can shower  here if you want.  Maybe you could leave a few things here.  I mean we see each other a lot.”  

He couldn’t read Bebe’s face to know what she was thinking.

“That’s not weird is it?  I think it makes sense.  You have to be up earlier for work than I usually do.  You should bring a few things over, to keep here.”

“It’s actually nice. A little creepy though that you were snooping around my things but there’s that.”  

“Um, and for the record.  I’ve been all up in your “things,”  and from what I can tell you like it when I’m all up in there.”  

Bebe laughed.  

"I'll wake you up in another hour."

She snuggled back into bed, and Leo woke her as promised.

“I know how you feel about pink.  There’s a pink towel set in there for you too.”  

Bebe walked into the bathroom she had been in many times. In the midst of all Leo's stuff, she saw the little hints of the stuff he had gotten for her.  There were hints a woman was around. Her.

Bebe caught her reflection, a dopey grin was on her face. Were they really a thing? Could she….did she feel that way about Leo? Could they really be more?

Maybe she and Leo should really try to give whatever this was a go.  

It was nice to not be in such a rush after spending the night.  

She rinsed the shampoo out of her hair, contentedly sighing, oblivious to what was about to happen.

Bebe was caught by surprise when Leo jerked back the shower curtain.

"Jesus Christ Leo!"

He smiled at her.

"Why do you have….."

He smirked.

Leo was pointing a water gun at her, then he shot her with it.

The water was ice cold. Bebe cringed as the cold water hit her body.

"LEO!!!!!"

Bebe was screaming bloody murder trying to grab the shower curtain  to shield her from the spray of ice cold water.

Leo was laughing maniacally as  Bebe slipped, and accidentally ripped down the shower curtain, in an effort to shield herself from the frigid cold water,  falling to the floor pulling him down to the floor with her.

Liam burst into the bathroom.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN HERE?!?!?"

It was quite the scene. The bathroom was a mess. Bebe and Leo were on the floor dripping wet. Bebe was wrapped up in the shower curtain. A super soaker water gun was on the floor filled with ice and water.

Jilian peeked her head around Liam to see the bathroom scene.

Jili laughed.

"Leo, you play too much!”

Bebe punched him hard.  

“Whaaat it was funny!!!!”  You should have seen your face.”

“Just so you know, I’m not buying you another shower curtain, this was completely your fault Leo.”

Liam shook his head at them closing the door.  

"Usually there are other sounds I wake up to." Liam pulled Jili back into the bedroom with him.

Breakfast was interesting.  It was the first time, both ‘couples’ were present to have breakfast together, at Liam and Leo's apartment .

“Nothing like getting woken up by what sounds like a murder.”  Liam responded glancing over at Leo and Bebe.  

“I’m sorry your idiot brother likes to play crazy games.”

“You know, I'm sitting right here Bebe.”

“I. DON’T. CARE. You're still an idiot."

He playfully hit Bebe. "It was funny Bee."

She hit him back. "Don't touch me."

Leo leaned into her, his finger barely an inch from her face. She ignored him talking to Jili. Leo persisted on.

Bebe grabbed his finger twisting it.

“OWWWWW!!! THAT HURTS!!!!!”

"GOOD! IT WAS SUPPOSED TO!!!!!  LEO SO HELP ME GOD!!!!!"

"I WASN'T TOUCHING YOU!!!!!!"

"My God! Do I need to separate you two?!?!?!" Liam screamed at them.

"You guys are like two kids on the playground that like each other!" Jilian raised her eyebrow at them.

"After breakfast let's go to yoga and take a walk together."

Jili smiled as Liam kissed her cheek.

"I love that idea." Jilian whispered.

It wasn't Couples' yoga but they both enjoyed being near each other the same.

After yoga, they decided to take a nice leisurely stroll into downtown Raleigh. Liam took his cues from Jili as to what places they window shopped in.

They heard the music from a distance.

"Oh we have to stop and listen a bit!"

They continued walking up to the performers where Jili swayed to the beat of the music.

Liam pulled Jili close to him dancing with her. Their eyes met both smiled at each other.

"A song for the lovers Von!"

Someone screamed from the crowd.

It felt like the world stood still in those moments that Jilian and Liam were dancing.

When the song was over, they clapped for him. Liam did a piercing whistle and dropped money in his case.

"Thanks man!"

"Liam Rys."

"Von Jacobs."

They shook hands as Jili dropped money in his case, and they went on their way exploring downtown together.

"Did you read it?"

"Yeah I did. It sounds like it would be an amazing time Jilian. Minus the whole comic con thing."

"Minor snafu. But it's a late present for Bebe's birthday. But she'll get to meet Christopher Pine.  Do you want to go?”

“Yes, I've never been to LA before."

"What's Leo doing with her tonight?"

"I'm not seeing her tonight."

"It's her birthday, Leo."

The color drained from Leo's face.

"What?"

Leo grabbed Liam and pulled him away from her.

Bebe had just finished a nice relaxing bubble bath when she heard a series of knocks on her door.

Leo stood there in a black suit with a single red rose.

"Leo what?!?"

"Why didn't you tell me it was your birthday?"

His voice was sad.

"It's not a big deal."

He slid past her walking into her apartment.

"Yes it is. Every birthday is special, and you should celebrate it. No matter what is going on in my life, Bee, I celebrate my birthday.  You never know when it will be your last. And you will celebrate yours too as long as I am around. Now that I know, I'm not going to forget."

"Leo…"

"Go put on a nice dress, we're going out to dinner."

"Where?" There was excitement in her voice.

"Woman! Go put that sexy self in one of those tight ass dresses I like."

Bebe looked at her dresses with a critical eye. She decided to slip into a royal blue dress that had a hint of bling on it, wearing her Louboutin heels with it.

Leo grabbed his heart as she walked out into the living room.

"Damn Bee."

They drove to the restaurant, Bebe's eyes widened when she saw where they were.

"I've always wanted to come here with someone."

"A little birdie told me."

Leo opened the car door for Bebe to get out as they walked towards the building, Leo slipped his hand in hers.

Bebe paused, and smiled at him; her fingers twinning with his.

Maybe that thing that bothered her, really didn't matter.  

Maybe this could work, and Leo looked proud to have her on his arm.

They were immediately seated by the hostess.

"Your server will be right with you."

"Leo, this is amazing."

Their server approached them.

"Good evening, and welcome to The Angus Barn. My name is Riley, and I'll be your server tonight."

Riley made them laugh.  Riley had mentioned she was in her last year of culinary school, and made excellent recommendations for them from the menu.

That evening when they got back to Bebe's apartment, he had one more gift to set up for her.

"You can come in now."

Leo was spread eagle on her bed naked with a present box covering his manly parts.

"Is your dick really in a box?"

"A big ass box! Come here girl!"

Yes I also need that! A Steve who is guilty would be amazing especially since he did say ‘yes’ to the whole plan. While you can’t really fault him as they couldn’t come up with anything better and the people who they were trying to desperately get in touch with, just wouldn’t answer them. So like maybe the only thing they could have done was wait but at the same time: they have no idea how long they would have to wait and if vecna would get tired and just pick another victim. Or if he would get more powerful during that time frame. I also really want an emotional talk with Steve and Dustin. And even Steve and Lucas. They just seem like they should all have an emotional talk after they were the ones who were with max and would feel guilty the most. Also Erica and Steve should have one on one time. Like I know they want to go back to season 1 dynamics but at the same time these dynamics make sense in exploring them as Lucas, Dustin, Steve, and Erica along with El (but the others don’t know that yet sooo) were the ones to witness a lot of what vecna did to max. Like I know the others helped and knew max was in danger but they were the ones to see it up close. Lucas, Steve, and Dustin witnessed the first time she was truly vecna’d. Then Lucas, Erica, and El saw the last time she was vecna’d when she died for a whole minute. And Lucas had to hold Max’s body while Erica tried to get to her brother and saw max lying dead in his arms. Which like I’m genuinely curious on when they filled Erica in on what was happening to max. Cuz she knew about the whole ud and vecna but like I don’t remember them actually telling her that max almost died and was the most vulnerable of the group.

Literally the whole ‘can you read,’ and ‘can you host?’ is the most iconic one! I also love them just singing the chicken noodle soup song! Gaten’s so funny he’s just like ‘damn we’re not an any key,’. I also love how they just do the most random stuff ever on set to try and annoy each other but in a loving best friend way. They always seem like the best of friends! And like whenever they have the fun interviews I’m just like ‘I want to be besties with you guys.’ They just seem so sweet!

Also putting this in one lol. And omg I hope you’re able to get out of your hometown cuz like you don’t seem happy but uhh correct me if I’m wrong cuz I don’t wanna assume soo. And I don’t think you’re projecting that much about it. These characters have legit got bullied so many times and almost died from their bullies. In season 1 mike legit was forced to jump off of a cliff cuz of their bullies. And in season 2 Lucas especially was at risk of getting killed cuz of billy. Also the other racism that he had to go through. And Steve legit almost got murdered also. So like I def feel like they would have this hatred toward their hometown and cuz no one actually does anything about it. Like they couldn’t exactly arrest Troy and that other kid cuz they could make a whole big scene about the breaking of the arm which they did. And Billy’s situation was complicated cuz he could tell people that max had a nailed bat and could actually get all of them arrested/isolated even more. Also like I wonder how it affected them seeing/interacting with their hometown. Like Dustin says that no one was nice to them coming to high school and I just want to know if it ever crossed their minds about beating them up and winning cuz they’ve fought more dangerous shit before. Like how Nancy could just use her gun to scare the bullies and how Lucas could use his wrist rocket aim to scare the living crap out of everyone. And them taking the nailed bat and just doing what max did to billy. Like they have the monsters of the ud, the government, and their peers who bully them breathing down their necks at all times. And I wanna know if it ever crossed their minds to scream the damn fucking truth about everything cuz of how pissed they are that they have to go through the pain time and time again. And they just want an ounce of friendship from anyone but end up getting treated even worse. Also I wish it affected their friendship with the hellfire club and Eddie. Like idk there was so much more to be explored there. Did they ever get jealous that the hellfire people didn’t have to go through that level of trauma? Did they resent the others for having such a deep connection to dnd when they have a very complicated past with it? Did they ever resent the hellfire club for seeing signs that they could be traumatized but never actually asking or taking the time to wonder what happened? Do they ever feel immediate guilt after that cuz they want to tell but can’t? Also like the whole thing is way more complicated when you’re faced with the fact that the gov will come after them for telling anyone or more people will just be even more traumatized/dead or that people would legit send them to pennhurst/a ward for even trying to speak about the truth. Anyways I think about this very much as you can tell lol cuz I wish it would be explored more

ugh I need steve and lucas interactions. they both have so much heart and both clearly care a hell of a lot about max. let them have meaningful, emotional interactions!! same with dustin. I obviously want steve and dustin to go back to season 2 era because I really love them in that season specifically. but I also really want dustin and lucas to bond a lot through their all of the bullshit they’ve been through, since they’ve been through it since the start together. overall I want everyone to just feel their feelings lol

yeah I think that they definitely have a really complicated relationship with hawkins. the hatred of their hometown and it holding everyone they love inside of it so they want to protect it and all that shit. it’s pretty clear that they feel alienated but I think they could have really dig deeper into that, especially with the kids and how that transition to high school made it even harder. like I said we get to see some of that, but I expected more clear not bullying per day but like their peers have to view them all oddly in some way or another. like max with billy and starcourt, them all being involved in the mall “fire” , even all the way back to wills disappearance. like people in a small town don’t forget anything and they like to talk and gossip. it doesn’t make a lot of sense for some gossip to get blown out of proportion, you know?
