A/N: this is the fic for the results of the poll! I hope you like it. I chose England as the country because I thought it would be interesting with the whole akte Middleton thing. I do not know a lot about the real royal family but this is how i imagine it.

Also reader will be the oldest daughter of Princess Kate and prince William she will be 22 years old. I know this will not be logical with the time line of them being married and stuff but we will just ignore that.

Y/n knew that her life was different, she was the princess nonetheless. But she didn’t expect this.

She had always loved motor sports and when she got the chance to attend a race in her country she always did.

But still she didn’t see this coming. It all happened so fast. First them meeting, him not knowing who she was so making a fool out of himself. Then Agee that him figuring it out and still liking her for her. Not het status or fame, no just her. Then them continuing to talk for a while. And then a few months after him asking the big questions, her saying yes and the now.

Het introduceren het boyfriend Lando Norris to her family. And of course he had met them already. They where the royal family of England his home land after all. But still, this was different.

Because now he will be introduced as her boyfriend. And that was pretty big thing for him, he will first be meeting her parents and with the recent controversy surrounding princess Kate that will be a bit nerve wracking for him. But after that it will be a bit more relaxing and he will meet her siblings.

But he knew this would come eventually, he was dating the princess so he should meet the royal family eventually. And now that it had been a few months since him asking her it was about time for him to meet them.

So when Lando arrived at the gates of Adelaide Cottage and saw y/n standing there in her full beauty with her gorgeous yellow flower dress he knew he was in for a rollercoaster.

So after taking a deep breath he walked forward to his girlfriend to meet her family.

“Het Lan. You ready?” She asked with her charming smile and her kind voice.

“Yeah. Just a bit nervous.” He said with a small laugh trying to not make it awkward.

“Hey it’s going to be alright. They are going to love you and you are going to see that the royal family is not just a bunch of rich people that rule the country.” She said teasing him a bit with his Nieves but still keeping it light.

“Okay. I’m ready love.” He said now being a bit more relaxed with what the princess said.

“Okay. Come on I will show you around first and then you can meet my parents.” She said while grabbing his hand and gently tugging him towards the garden. “We should go around the garden first and then I will show you the inside, but there might be a chance we will run into my family so that’s why I will first show you the outside.”

“Okay that’s good” Lando said while walking after her. “Hey y/n…?” Lando asked now nervous again with what he wanted to ask.

“Yeah? What is going on love?” She asked wanting to know what her boyfriend was nervous about.

“Umm… have you’re family said anything about me?” He asked now a bit embarrassed about asking. But he wanted to know because they were her family after all. So if they already thought something about him then he wanted to know so that he knew how to make a good first impression.

“Well they asked about you yeah. And they asked the basic things and did a background check. But they think you are all good. They only know the basic facts and a few of the things I have told you.” She said smiling a bit while talking. Thinking it was cute with how he was so worried with how they will think about her.

But the princess knew that they would like the driver. They did to the search because you wouldn’t want the princess to date a serial killer. But they did it and he was all good. And with a few things she told them about. They seem to be excited about meeting him. But it is maybe not the best time with princess Kate recently being diagnosed with cancer and with the loads of controversy around the family. But now that it was all revealed it was about time for them to meet her boyfriend of 9 months.

She also knew that it was almost a year in there relationship and that he I shuts know meeting her family. But with them both being busy they just hadn’t hat the time.

“Okay that’s good.” The driver said now being relaxed again. But still having doubts in his mind.

After that they walked around the garden and talked a bit more.

When they were done outside they got to the entrance and she showed him the inside.

When she showed his most of the house, he only had a few more rooms to see. But she knew that her family would be in those rooms. So she stood still for a second to talk to him.

“Okay Lando. On that room will be my parents. Are you ready?” She asked a bit nervous for him. She knew that they would like- no even love him.

“I think I am. Just mentally prepared myself” he laughed a bit while saying the last bit. He was less nervous than when he arrived but it still isn’t fully gone.

“Hey it’s going to be fine. My parents are probably the most nerve wracking but when we meet my siblings it will be a lot better.

Lando thought about it and prepared a bit more. He took a few deep breaths and then looked up at his princess again. “Okay I’m ready”

“Okay, come on in.” She said with a smile squeezing his hand softly and leading him in to the room. She opens the door slowly after looking at him one last time.

“Hey, we are here” y/n said tugging Lando in the room with her and then closing the door. Her parents sat at the table at the room and when they saw them they stood up and walked to them.

“Hello Lando, it’s good to finally meet you.” Prince William said to Lando while shaking his head.

“Hello Lando it’s nice to finally meet you. We have heard a lot about you.” Princess Kate said with a smile on her face while shaking her head after her husband was done.

“Hello it is an honour to meet you.” he said with a shy smile after shaking the royal pair’s hands.

The youngest princess in the room smiled at her boyfriend and her parents. She was happy that they finally met.

After a bit of ice breaking with small talk they were all a lot more comfortable with each other.

After what seemed really short but was actually an hour Lando and y/n decided that they should meet her siblings. So they said goodbye to her parents and made a promise to meet again and then walked a bit further into the house to the next room with her siblings.

Lando was a lot less nervous to meet them. He met her parents and that was good so meeting Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis would also be alright.

Once they came to the room his girlfriend turned to him. “Okay this will be more relaxing. They know you and will probably first be a bit protective but then they will be more teasing. So nothing to worry about.” She said while smiling.

“Okay. I’m ready love” Lando said feeling relaxed with his girlfriend.

She opened the door and they walked in. Her siblings turned to her and immediately stood up. They walked towards the pair and inspected Lando immediately.

“So you are Lando? Y/n’a boyfriend?” Princess Charlotte asked.

George begin talking immediately after. “Wait are you the racing driver?” He asked getting a bit excited with that he and his sister both like Formula 1.

Lando didn’t even get to speak because Prine Louis began talking “so you are the man she can’t stop talking about” he said with a teasing smile.

Y/n was already beginning to get tired with them so interrupted them before they were going to overwhelm Lando with questions. “Okay guys stop with all that. Yes this is my boyfriend, Lando. Lando this is George, Charlotte and Louis. Guys this is Lando. And yes George he is the racing driver. And Louis don’t say that.”

“Hello everyone” Lando said already going in to his being with kids mode a bit.

After the first bit of the awkward conversation it all became better and y/n was right. They were now a lot more teasing instead of protective. But it was still fun.

And they asked a lot of questions. Like ‘what was it like with Lewis Hamilton?’ ‘Have you really not won a race?’ ‘What is it like being a F1 driver?’ And Lando was able to answer every one of them. And he enjoyed it a lot. He enjoyed hanging out with his girlfriend and her siblings. And enjoyed there questions and there small arguments and teasing bond.

After what again felt quite short but what was actually 2 hours they decided that it was a long enough day and said goodbye to her siblings. They again promised to meet again and now walked outside to the car.

“So what did you think?” y/n asked with a small smile thinking back with how good he was with her family.

“It was great. They are all very kind and it was better than expected.” Lando said while looking at his girlfriend. While talking they walked to the car (with of course a private driver).

Once they came to the car he opens the door for her and they stepped in. “That’s great!”

While talking they didn’t notice people taking pictures. And that was a bit of a problem, because while they are dating for quite a while. They have not yet announced it. They will eventually but they wanted to wait a bit and see where it was going. Even a lot of the drivers didn’t know that they were dating. The only people on the grid that knew was the McLaren team, his teammate and Carlos. All because McLaren needed to know so they could keep it private, Oscar knew because she was in the garage a few times (in secret) and so he had questions and then Lando explained. And Carlos knew because Lando and him are great friends so he just told him.

So if it came out that it was them then that would be problematic.

But because they didn’t know they didn’t really care. So they drove to her house and they spent the rest of the day together.

After finally announcing that they were dating Lando got a lot of messages from confused drivers. And the couple had a fun time laughing about it.

I wasn't a royal watcher in 2007 when Kate and William split. Could you share more about it? How? What happened? Why? How did they reconcile? Curious mind!

There’s not a whole lot known about the split since neither Kate nor William have gone on the record to speak about it.

What we know (and most of this is assumptions from a few leaks and some side stories) is this.

In December 2006, Kate and her parents were William’s guests at his passing-out parade at Sandringham Academy. This is considered to be Kate’s official debut as William’s girlfriend, after about 4 years of dating. The Middletons’ appearance at the event made engagement rumors and speculation EXPLODE. Apparently it freaked William out a bit.

In early 2007 (sometime between January and March), William was waffling about whether to commit and kept signing up for new military rotations and trainings. Eventually Philip advised him to, more or less, shit or get off the pot; it wasn’t fair to string Kate along. William decided and broke up with her. Kate accepted it. They went their separate ways - William to do military stuff and Kate went to her family.

Kate decided (maybe on Carole’s advice, it’s not really clear) that she was just going to live her life. She went dancing at clubs with her sister and their friends - most of the clubbing pictures from 2007 are from this time. In April 2007, she signed up for a charity crew/rowing event and began practicing with the team. Royal reporters called Kate to ask about the relationship and what happened. Kate said something like “I haven’t spoken to reporters before and I don’t think it’s appropriate to start now” and they all backed off.

Eventually William began to miss Kate and asked her to take him back. She refused until either he showed some kind of commitment or they discussed getting married. Whatever he did, Kate was satisfied by it and they got back together in June, relaunching their relationship at the Concert for Diana on July 1st, though it wasn’t confirmed until a few weeks later when it was announced that Kate had pulled out of the charity rowing race.

(There’s some speculation that the Queen ordered Kate to quit the team but everything we’ve seen of Kate’s behavior since the relationship outed in 2004 indicates that Kate chose to quit on her own discretion because she had become too much of a distraction and the photographers/crowds watching the practices were disruptive.)

Also, by the way, it was around this time when Katie Nicholls coined the nickname “Waity Katie” while writing about Kate (though she refuses all accountability) and the press, tabloids especially, began using it relentlessly in their coverage of Kate.

Next, in 2008, three Very Big things happened.

First, William received his Air Force wings in April 2008 from Charles. Kate attended the ceremony and this is the first time they were photographed together in a quasi-official way that made it clear they were a) back together and b) very committed.

Second, William asked Kate to represent him at Peter and Autumn Phillips’s wedding in May 2008 when he couldn’t attend for another commitment. This is when Kate met The Queen for the first time. (They speak about this a little bit in the engagement interview.)

Third, Kate attended the Order of the Garter service in June 2008 as William’s guest when he was inducted in as the 1,000th member. She was given a space on the porch alongside Harry and Camilla. This essentially signaled to everyone that they were eventually going to marry (because you don’t go to an event like that without some kind of tacit approval and plan) and we were off to the races.

(Also William and Kate had a few smaller break-ups/pauses through 2005 and 2006 but they were never picked up by and reported in the press the way the 2007 breakup was so the 2007 breakup is considered the “main” breakup. It’s also the inflection point for alternate timelines in royal fanfiction.)

Campaigning for more paid leave and other support for ALL cancer patients might be a good project for her in the future.

"Crazy for this girl" (Chapter 5)

William was overthinking all those small moments such as Middleton helping him with writing a painting interpretation, letting him compare his most important notes with hers, fun they had during Raisin Weekend and now also that simple conversation they had about Chile, sports, and nature. It all replayed in his mind for hours. Being in a relationship and having thoughts about someone else was a thing he thought he’d never experience.

The moment he woke up the next morning and noticed Catherine’s pen on the bedside table, he felt uncontrollable and inexplicable frustration. He avoided having breakfast with his friends, then checked his schedule and found out that he’ll have eight hours of classes and seminars that day. “It can not get any worse than this” he thought, feeling that tiredness mixed with confusion won’t let him focus on that stuff. Despite that, he went on with his morning routine. Right before closing the door, he took a blue pen from the table. “No smiles or conversations” he planned his next meeting with Catherine Middleton meticulously “I'd just give her the pen, and everything will be normal again”.

Due to oversleep, Catherine did not attend the first class that day. Rupert wanted her to take a day off and go on a trip with him. She rejected that offer, but her boyfriend insisted on helping her reach the university building.

“It is not true. I am simply trying to focus on things needed for today's classes. It'll be a long day for me, but we can meet with one another in the early evening” he said and kissed Carley on the lips.

He escaped the class an hour earlier than planned in the schedule. Fergus followed him and asked him a question that the prince did not actually register in his mind.

“You know how this stuff works, right? It’s all boring sometimes, and not every day is full of enjoyment, right? He just had it tough today, I guess. There's nothing wrong with that”.

Catherine chuckled a little bit “Yes, but to be completely honest with you, I grew confused when he was ignoring everything, even when we were supposed to work on a sketch interpretation along with two other students”

“And I assume that you are just overthinking”

“He ruined this presentation with his apathy!”

“Yes, and I know how it affects a person. I am studying psychology too, remember? Am I over-dramatic? Rupert told me exactly the same thing earlier” she sighed

They both laughed, and Catherine carried on her work.

Chase-genuinely was confused he was Australian and not British NOT because I’m ignorant lol but because before I ever saw House I was obsessed with Jesse Williams character in Winning London, the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen movie in which he plays a British man! LOVEEE your thoughts so far omg !! it's so interesting seeing it from someone else's perspective !! i think you got it so right. the writers definitelyy forget cameron exists for an arc or two, haha, but i do really enjoy what they /eventually/ end up doing with her character. i really liked foreman for a while ! the end of season 2 flipped that on its head, though, and now i kind of just appreciate him for what he does to the plot / story structure

William had a bad start of the year engagement wise, but he’s gotten a bit better as time has gone on. Thing is, if they don’t return to work until after the kids have gone back to school, then they will have spent more than 3 months this year on holiday. And then we’d only be in early September. It’s not acceptable to do that anymore. And if they are doing work behind the scenes they need to show it in some way, like submit it to the court circular.

Kate also needs to do more public work, and branch out from being stuck in the early years. I don’t want her to do less early years work, I want her to do more of other things too… WK should be on 1-2 away days each month if not more often (depending on where they go). I don’t know what William and Kate have against meeting different types of people, but not everything they do has to be tied to the royal foundation. Sometimes you just have to go out and open a factory and meet the people working there, and let them tell you about what they do. I also think that after the pandemic the professionalism at KP has gone down. They do great content for social media but doesn’t bother explaining what it’s for and what the engagements is about. We’re now almost a year in the new reign yet they keep on using the wrong coronets, essentially downgrading William. Their team feels inexperienced when it comes to royal matters, and is focusing more on corporate/business matters. Why did they basically ignore the coronation photos? George’s birthday, what happened there? KP doing less for him than they did his siblings, BP posted a coronation pic for Anne yesterday yet they couldn’t do something like that for George? It’s weird.

I think Charles is out as much as he can considering he’s got tons of other stuff to do as well, but Camilla also feels stuck in a rut same as Kate. Or is that just how I’m feeling it?

Eddie Munson x OC Time Travel fic!

Summary: Mel finds herself being sucked back in time to the year of 1986 after researching the murders of many Hawkins High students. 

Time travel fic! Gen z OC, I wrote too much of this with an OC for convenience i’m not changing it to reader perspective just picture yourself as OC.

Warnings: Language, terrible depictions of the 80s, even worse depictions of gang reacting to modern technology. No character deaths, bittersweet ending, multi chapter fic :)

‘The disappearance of Hawkins Boy, William Byers has now been solved as the Hawkins police department report Byers was found alive in the woods late yesterday. Hawkins Chief Jim Hopper refuses all interviews at this time as we question mysterious circumstances the boy was found in.’

Re-reading the same articles again and again Mel sighed in annoyance. There was more to the story, but she wasn’t going to find anything else in the public archives of Hawkins State Library. She flicked through the newspaper clippings she had again to read the one that truly intrigued her, the mystery disappearance of Eddie Munson.

‘Munson last seen in his uncles trailer late last night has vanished following the murder of Chrissy Cunningham. Hawkins police suspect Munson responsible for the gruesome murder of his high school peer, satanic ritualism thought to be at play.’

Mel ignored the last part, everyone suspected in the 80s dungeons and dragons, a game which Eddie was known to play to be a satanic cult. Nowadays investigators are less naïve, instead believing Eddie to just be a disturbed boy. There were definitely signs of it, abandoned by his parents, three years behind in graduating, proper dropout disturbed murderer kind of shit, but Mel didn’t quite believe that either.

Years after the murders other kids from Hawkins High came out expressing how genuine Eddie was, how he was a good friend despite the hard exterior. One unsuspecting person being Steve Harrington, known well for his involvement with the Hawkins High basketball team and later his unfortunate scandal with the mother of his child, came out to vouch for Eddie, saying he was a sensitive guy that struggled with his last days in hiding. Obviously, everyone assumes he died, no body was recovered but his whereabouts has remained unknown for 36 years, but Mel wanted the hard truth, she wanted to know who murdered those kids and what happened to Eddie Munson all the way back in 1986.

Mel got up from the table she was completely occupying to gather the photographs the library employee fished out of the archives for her. She had thoroughly examined them hundreds of times but there had to be something she was missing. One photograph being of Chrissy Cunningham’s mangled body. It was horrifying to say the least, it didn’t look like any human could possibly cause this kind of harm to another person. One photo that was the most intriguing to Mel was of a Walkman and a cassette tape, the graininess of the photo making it hard to decipher what was labelled on the cassette. Why was this in evidence, what did it mean? There was no mention of these items in any of the articles or autopsy reports, why was it in police custody.

“Ah yes, that’s an interesting one isn’t it” a nasally voice spoke from behind Mel. “Why exactly is a Walkman and a cassette of running up that hill by Kate Bush involved in these murders”

Mel rolled her eyes at the obnoxiously close library employee behind her “That’s what I’m wondering” a moments silence hit before she questioned, “Hold up, how do you know what the tape is? it doesn’t say in the picture”

The man chuckled, “We keep all that old stuff here for the Hawkins Police department, their archives are full of more relevant evidence, what are you doing with this case anyway?”

“For a report I’m doing at college”

The man nods his head as he continues to inspect the mess of articles and records Mel had splayed out on the table.

“I could let you see the Walkman if you’d like?” he offered dismissively.

“Really? You sure?” Mel asked back, excited to get any more evidence on this case, the records she had were beginning to get quite redundant, not truly answering any questions.

“We can’t bring it up here but you can come down to the archive room with me”

At this Mel felt uneased, a dark secluded old room with this weirdo? Was it even worth it? What if in thirty years’ time some other college student is investigating her disappearance in this library, will that then lead that student to start looking at these murders too? Mel didn’t want to be another part of this mystery.

“I wont murder you or anything down there, its all police records probably not a good idea to be murdering so close to the enemy you know” Mel nodded, agreeing to follow this dodgy looking guy down to a dingy looking room for a chance to look at a Walkman.

They both make their way down an ancient looking elevator, the light flickering as they both stood in silence, the only sound coming from the mechanics of the machine.

“You’d think they’d give this place a bit of an upgrade” Mel Joked, attempting to lighten the tenseness in the air.

“yeah, instead everyone’s tax money goes towards the town hall”

“Don’t forget the community garden no one uses”

The man chuckled, “Yeah I saw them watering straight dirt the other day”

The elevator came to a stop abruptly and the doors slid open with a struggle. “The Walkman is just down here” The guy states before swiftly moving down an alley of shelves and turning a corner. Mel was quick to follow not wanting to get lost in this dark maze below the library. Mel watched as he shuffled a couple boxes around before grabbing one shoved right at the back of the shelf. He directed her to a nearby table with a lamp that did absolutely nothing to help illuminate the room and sat the box down. Inside was the Walkman, wrapped up in a plastic sleeve. Separately there was the cassette tape wrapped up in its own sleeve.

“Can I listen to it?” Mel asked noticing the headphones attached and wrapped around the Walkman.

“I guess so, just follow the aisle back to the elevator when you’re done, and don’t touch anything else, some of this stuff is secured for DNA preservation”

With that the strange guy left Mel alone with the tape. She wasted no time unwrapping each component and taking multiple photos with her phone to reference back to later. She couldn’t get over how heavy it was, all it did was play music yet it was twice the weight of her iphone. She carefully pressed all the buttons until the tape door popped open, it was a little stiff due to age but she managed to pry it open all the way.

“How do you go in then” She spoke to herself inspecting the cassette. It took a couple attempts and some shoving but the clueless twenty first century girl managed to get it in and secured the door shut. Placing the headphones on top her head she hit the play button and waited for the music to start.

It took a moment but the grainy song began playing through her ears, she knew the song of course but it was so much different hearing a 30 year old cassette through a Walkman. The music continued and the girl closed her eyes trying to hear any kind of clue, why was it this song? Was there a message? There had to be more to it.

The music began to get louder and clearer as she continued to sit there and take it in but suddenly, she felt cold and dark and like she couldn’t open her eyes. The music had completely sucked her in, there was no moving until it was done. Stress started to fill Mel’s body as the inability to control herself as her thoughts took over. She could see now, she saw darkness and dirt, there was a red glow, the music all-encompassing at this point. There was no where to run and nowhere to hide. She was open and exposed in a void she couldn’t get out of but there was a light and a girl, she was running towards it, Mel was on the other side though, the girl couldn’t see her as she scrambled to find a way towards the girl.

“Max!, Max!” Was being chanted through the bright opening, was this girl Max? Mel thought, who was calling her and where were they.

She focussed on the song, on the lyrics and the music, focussing on max running towards the light and in an instant she was moving towards it, so fast she had no time to process where she was or the hard pain she felt in her back as she landed on the ground.

Warmth filled Mel’s body and a sense of clarity opened up in her mind again. The music had stopped, she could feel her body again, her toes and fingers, she could feel the dirt and grass through her hair and the sun on her skin, she was definitely not in the library.

“Woah what the hell just happened, who is this!” A male voice rang through Mel’s ears, she slowly opened her eyes squinting as the bright sun burned her head.

Another voice spoke more quieter “Max are you okay?” a soft yeah followed it.

“I will ask again who the hell is this!”

“Chill out Steve” Someone spoke.

The hair on Mel’s neck stuck up as she felt multiple pairs of eyes boring into her.

“I’m Mel” She spoke softly, surprised that her voice worked.

“I saw you, you were there, but at the same time you weren’t” Max spoke as Mel sat up nursing her head that was now forming a big headache.

“I was in a library” Mel spoke looking around at the 4 kids staring at her. “I was in a library and now I’m here”

“You came out of this weird portal thing” A dark-skinned kid spoke.

“Yeah, it was totally sci-fi cool, how did you get through it” another kid spoke, this one had wild curly hair.

“I was listening to the song and following the light” Mel answered still trying to remember every single detail herself.

“I’m sorry but a random girl comes out of the ground and we’re just going to accept that?” The oldest boy says. He looked and sounded so familiar, but Mel was too frazzled to think about it.

“Where am I? can anyone tell me where I am, and what that place I was in was?”

There was a silence that followed “we’re still trying to figure that one out ourselves” The curly haired kid said. “But you’re in Hawkins, do you know where Hawkins is?”  

Did this kid think I was stupid? Thought Mel “Of course, I know where Hawkins is I live here, but I was just in the library and now im...”

Looking around Mel noticed headstones all around, the cemetery. But something was different, it didn’t feel right, it was missing something. It felt incomplete, old, but new.

“Dustin, come in Dustin its Eddie”

“Dustin to Eddie, what’s your status, over” the curly haired boy spoke through a massive walkie talkie.

“My status is hungry Dustin, I’m fucking hungry”

The man on the other end said.

“On the run? He’s been missing for 36 years this is super exciting!” Mel exclaimed.

“Um no” the darker-skinned kid said “He’s been in hiding for like two days”

“Stop calling me strange girl, I was just researching his disappearance, 1986 hasn’t been seen for 36 years are you stupid?” Mel looks around at all the kids watching their stunned faces.

“Hello what’s happening are you getting me food or what?”

“Not now Eddie” Dustin said through the walkie not taking his eyes off Mel.

Mel was confused, she looked back at the kids observing each one, suddenly something she recognised, the Walkman hanging off Max’s hip, it’s the Walkman that was in the library. Going down the line she looked at the older guy, what did that kid call him earlier? Steve? Steve Harrington? Could it be? He looked about 18, but that can’t be possible.

“Are you from the future?” Asked the girl, Max. “What year are you from?”

Mel looked at the kids confused, what kind of question is this?

“2022” she answered.

Dustin’s face lit up, “This is the year 1986, you travelled in time, oh my god you travelled in time, how did you do it? Is time travel a thing in the future?”

Why was this kid so excited about this situation, if she did travel back in time she doesn’t even exist yet Mel thought.

“Hey I’d love to stand around and discuss time travel theories all day but Eddie kind of needs us, and id love to get out of this cemetery, I’m getting the creeps” Steve said rounding everyone up, including Mel and gesturing towards the car parked down on the street.

“I’ve got so many questions; I’ve considered the possibility of time travel but I didn’t expect it to be in my lifetime” Dustin continued to rant and rave. “of course there are things you cant tell me, time travel rules but surely some hints, a sneak peak, movies, music give me something”

“Hey dickhead!” Steve called from the front of the car as everyone piled in. “Leave the girl alone she’s just travelled 36 years in the past let it soak in, there’s a lot more she needs to know about”

- VERY interesting that they showed news articles about the matching bracelet that they used to wear because in episode 1, Meghan clearly states they met in July 2016 and she had been single for a couple months. There are pictures of her from before July (and allegedly when she was not single) wearing the bracelet). 

- Meghan sharing stories about being chased by the paps in Toronto. Don’t be shy babes tell us about the times you called the paps on yourself x

I think this latest article is as much a Kate slander piece as it is a manifestation PR for Meghan. It is certainly aimed at painting a certain picture as you pointed out.

There have been rumours that the PR company did a brand image survey for Meghan and most of the feedback they got was that the public is increasingly against Meghan because of how much she has bashed the BRF. It's been putting people off and it's one of the reasons Meghan isn't getting any work.

So putting it out there that from now on she will not rely of the total image is., Stay away from the royals is a way of reassuring prospective clients that she is overhauling her image and is looking for new work in her own right, as opposed to riding on Harry's coattails.

But it's odd, because to me it seems like she is now doing her own work vis a vis fashion influencer plus she is basking in any glory of any good work Harry does it., Invictus. She only stays away from.his controversial stuff like the book, polo and grovelling to the BRF and whining about his mean daddy taking away military roles. Everything else, she wants to be a part of.like it's her birthright.

As for the Kate bashing, yes of course she will do that. Because that's a sure shit way of antagonizing William. And she doesn't want Harry and William to be on any sort of good terms at all, now or in the future. I do think, Charles, for a his faults, has largely ghosted Harry since he became king. And any form of solid reconciliation has been left up to Williams descretion. This is probably mostly because Harry is also estranged from a lot of the extended family because of Meghan. (Except Eug maybe?).

Any plans that BP or the king's team is hinting at is merely for show, so that worse comes worst, in case of any eventuality (like a divorce or Harry's public humiliation) he will have some sort of landing pad back in London. Not an actual royal home or a royal role, but family sympathy. I dont think on a personal level, Charles, Camilla or William have any more fucks to give about Harry and his Scar cosplay.

Looking at Joe Jonas and Sophie's drama makes me think that meghan would certainly encourage Harry to go to England spend more time there, and then she will play a blinder like Joe did on Sophie.

On your last point (the Joe/Sophie drama) - there used to be an accurate tarot reader here in the early days whose reading on a Sussex divorce saw it happening during the wintertime and one of them would be blindsided by the filing. Seeing your comment here reminded me of that reading. It really does seem like Meghan is trying to line it up for a blinder. After all, Meghan hasn't had an original idea since the 1990s. Why not steal Joe Jonas's divorce strategy?

This is just my opinion but I think the brand analysis actually happened. I've done some research and my conclusion is that it is standard industry procedure to do a brand analysis any time there's an acquisition, no matter what kind of track record the individual has. (Another reason why I think there was one, and this is just my personal observation, is because Meghan is such a polarizing and controversial person. WME wouldn't have taken her on willy-nilly without understanding what they were getting themselves into, even if they signed her as a favor to Serena, as the text messages going around allege.)

And absolutely, anything the BRF does with Harry is largely because of familial duty. You can still be sympathetic to someone's struggles and help them through it without having to personally like them. If there's one thing the royal family understands, it's duty and they probably all collectively understand that giving Harry a landing pad is their duty - not exclusively because they're family but because the monarchy calls for it. There are probably parallels to Diana here - Diana did a lot of damage when she said she wasn't supported or helped, and Charles can't afford the crisis Harry will cause if he doesn't show up for Harry. (They were able to handle the drama Meghan stirred up during the Oprah interview by having The Queen point out that Meghan is an unreliable narrator and the only reason The Queen's statement worked is because she had 69 years of authority and respect behind her words. Charles is lucky no one rolls their eyes in his presence when he demands the same gravitas.)

I've been thinking about it for a little bit now, but sometimes I really do hate the weird superiority complex some ~elder millenials~ have against the later mid to late 90s kids (like 1995 babies- eg me), meaning "younger millennials".

so, last year at my old work's staff christmas party, I stumbled into a convo with one of the ladies in the finance team, and the new guy in customer service (who wasn't really new by that point, but still) who was into mid2000s emo/pop-punk like me. they were talking about the differences and similarities between (elder) millennials and gen z and also younger millennials.

the finance lady was all like "OH! I'm soooo glad I'm an ELDER millennial (just on the cusp off 1989 and 1990)!!! I'm so much better than you, I lived through the 90s and early 2000s!!!!! I used a landline phone for 10 years!!!! for most of my life, actually. then me and emo guy were like "uh sadie, so did we???? like I was born in 1995 (me) and I was born in 1997 (emo guy).... so we both used landline phones and went through mobile phones becoming computers in your pocket. having to carry both ipods and phones in our pockets. computers going from chunky af boxes to super sleek and shit..... like the list goes on and on???? we HAD THE SAME LIFE sadie, what the hell???"

then the woman was all like "uh NO. nuh-uh. you DID NOT live it like i did. you did not have to go through what I did.... like overplucked sperm looking eyebrows!!! those were so awful!!!" etc etc etc to invalidate our experiences.

like I'll admit that for trends such as the sperm brows and disgustingly low-rise jeans, I was just that bit too young. but that doesn't mean I didn't witness those fashion faux pas'es ALL THE TIME on celebrities and on TV shows!!!! or even on my older cousins!!!! one of my year 5 disco looks in 2006 was a business casual look, but ALL hello kitty... with a full popped collar t-shirt, mini skirt, and newsboy hat with light up shoes. it was utterly garish and ugly. I had a mizzundastood (tween clothing brand here in aus) like edgy girl phase with baggy, ugly street style clothes that were all ripped/distressed in weird places for the ~urban, edgy lewk~, obvs paired with stupid oversized skate shoes (my sister's) to complete the look.

I had ugly ass lace motif shirts from mary kate and ashley olsen's girls' clothing line from like 2003. i had those ugly ass like weird stringy tie-up belts (from supre or paired with some jeans as a set), with ugly embroidered jeans, and wore those with a tie and a skinny scarf; to be all avril lavigne and/or hayley williams pop-punk princess in 2007. i played the original mid-2000s xbox and playstation 2. I had gameboys. and the original nintendo DS.

obvs given that I wasn't doing the trends in nightclubs or in school, properly, like little miss 1989 was. but that shouldn't invalidate my experiences of living through the late 90s and the 2000s all bc im a "younger millennial or early gen z"??? I was obviously a child. but again, that doesn't invalidate my experiences. bc I used a landline up until about 2008 or 09, when I was in early high school..... bc that's when all of my friends started to get mobile phones (bc I got my first phone in 2005 in year 4 at 9/10 years old- long story).
