Call for Seph/Gen fanfic recs 🍎🐍

For reasons I will disclose in the next week or two, I'm trying to assemble a reclist of Sephesis fanfiction. Strictly Sephesis—not AGS, not AZSGC, not Sephesis plus one or both of them boning someone else on the side, not Sephesis plus one or both of them in a complicationship with someone else, I'm talking monogamous Sephiroth/Genesis. (The name order here isn't relevant, as a note; I don't care who tops.)

Other pairings can be included (ie: Sephesis AND Zakkura), and both characters can have been in relationships with other people in the past (ie: Sephesis with past Gengeal) but the core ship must exclusively feature Sephiroth and Genesis.

Any rating, AUs are fine, crackfic and crossovers are not. I'm looking for what we in Ye Olde Fandom Dayes would call goodfic, with solid characterization (which doesn't reduce Genesis to a dramatic gay caricature and doesn't portray Sephiroth as a hyperconfident sex god), a decent grasp of the setting (which doesn't portray Shinra HQ like some kind of military high school), and generally decent writing in general. I would also prefer fic where one of the characters isn't randomly written as a cis woman in order to make the pairing heterosexual, which happens way more often than I'd ever assumed.

There are a couple longfics that are tagged strictly with Sephesis, but as I haven't read them myself (yet) they're not on the list.

The main problem I'm running into isn't a lack of good writing or good characterization, mind you, but rather that around 98% of the Sephiroth/Genesis tag on AO3 is actually AGS or AZSGC. Even the work tagged as strictly Sephiroth/Genesis is actually AGS the vast majority of the time.

Finished work would be preferred, but if it's being actively updated and has already gotten to the point where the ship is obviously present, that's also fine. I will be including a shameless plug to Smoke and Mirrors in the final list, so don't be afraid to rec your own work if you have something of which you're particularly proud!

HAIKYUU WEEK 2020 ── Day 4, Favourite Haikyuu!! Pairs : IwaOi, KuroKen, BokuAka.

1. Oikawa / 38. Ninetales / 350. Milotic - Yes, I gave him all the pretty Pokémon because he is so damn beautiful. I felt like he would be the only one dedicated enough to love and tend to a Feebas until it evolves. And when it does, just imagine: a dais, a red carpet, and a throne, Oikawa with his majestic Pokémon. YES.

4. Iwaizumi / 57. Primeape / 214. Heracross - I somehow felt the need to give him something completely opposite to Oikawa. Primeape was such an easy choice too, I mean, look at them. The spikiness, the angry expression, plus the two of them going after Oikawa and his sassy Pokémon together??? Then, there’s Heracross that represents Iwa-chan’s soft side, because I personally think it looks intimidating but is actually a roll, like Iwa-chan!!

1. Kuroo / 726. Torracat / 745. Lycanroc (Midnight Form) - Okay for the first time, colour had a huge part to play in deciding. Look at how cohesive they are? Torracat is an obvious choice cos CAT and also are we going to talk about how the Alolan Starters fit both Bokuto and Kuroo a little too well??? For Lycanroc, it was lowkey the hair hahah. I imagine Kuroo bringing that Pokémon to practice too cos it has long ass arms.

5. Kenma / 135. Jolteon - Don’t have much to say besides, cat. With big ears. Able to charge your console on the go. Jolteon will get along with Kuroo’s Torracat too and they’ll have cute cat kneading moments together until someone gets either paralysed or burned. Perfect.

5. Akaashi / 405. Luxray / 448. Lucario -At this point, I don’t really know why I paired every HQ!! setter up with majestic, royalty-worthy Pokémon. I swear I’m not biased. I guess the colour coordination helped me decide, but mostly it was the fact that Akaashi deserves cool, collected beings to help him deal with what’s coming next.

4. Bokuto / 723. Dartrix - An owl with an owl. This Pokémon probably has a close relationship with Akaashi and they both discuss strategies to deal with Fukurodani’s No. 4 together. They get to school and Dartrix is just like to Akaashi: “okay you take over I didn’t sleep last night because Bokuto wanted me to teach him how to fly”. Then, Akaashi pats it on its back and nods knowingly. Okay, now, imagine Bokuto trying to impress both his Pokémon and Akaashi at the same time while they try their best to look entertained. I’m here for it.

That was long and I only chose two from each school. I still didn’t manage to squeeze in Shiratorizawa ;; Here’s my ideas for them anyway: Ushijima - Exeggutor, Rufflet. Tendou - Claydol, Rapidash. I hope you enjoyed it!! Check out Part One for Karasuno boys if you haven’t already!

oh BOY, back in my hq phase i had a Dream Turned Fic where two characters marry but accidentally piss off a magic creature that curses them into turning into monsters and as the fic progresses one becomes more and more ravenous that at the end his husbands gotta put him down and right after that the creature that cursed them in the first place appears and gives the surviving guy the antidote as he cries for his dead partner, it was brutal, it was GREAT and i still love that fic so much lmfaooo

its a complicated issue. bc the thing is, ppl that are billingüal most likely will mix and mach those languages when talking or thinking, and putting that in a fic isnt a bad thing, but when ppl that obviously only know english do it without any sense of structure its literally cringe worthy, im literally wincing here, its painful

The Forgotten Realms – the default setting for the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game – form one of the largest, most detailed and most popular fantasy worlds ever created. It is the brainchild of Canadian writer Ed Greenwood who started developing it as a setting for fantasy stories when he was just eight years old. Ten years later he began running D&D campaigns set in the same world, and also began writing articles for Dragon Magazine. The first mention of the Realms in-print came in 1978. Over the next eight years Greenwood became a popular writer of articles for the magazine and he included plenty of hints about his own campaign world in the process. 

In 1986 TSR, Inc., the publishers of D&D, were looking for a new setting. The Dragonlance setting had been an enormous success, but the feeling was that the continent of Ansalon was too small to serve as a setting for lots of stories. D&D creator Gary Gygax was also in the middle of his painful departure from TSR, which made the future use of his World of Greyhawk setting questionable. D&D needed a new “base” world.

TSR editor Jeff Grubb contacted Greenwood and asked exactly how much of the Realms had he actually created? Greenwood’s reply was, “lots.” Soon boxes were arriving at TSR HQ in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin by the score. Each box was packed full of notes, handwritten and typed, featuring information on hundreds of characters and cities, dozens of countries and countless new monsters, factions and magical items. Greenwood’s map of the main continent was divided across dozens of A4 sheets of paper which were painstakingly reassembled in the main TSR office, taking up almost every inch of free floor space. Greenwood’s map of the setting’s signature city, Waterdeep, was even larger and detailed and named almost every building. This was the Tolkien school of in-depth worldbuilding taken and expanded and applied to a continent several times the size of Middle-earth.

The slightly awed TSR bought the rights to the setting and began released it to the public in 1987. The first release was a novel, Darkwalker on Moonshae by Douglas Niles, followed by the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, or the “Big Grey Box” as it became infamously known. The Grey Box sold over 100,000 copies in short order, a staggering number for an RPG supplement. Ed Greenwood provided his own novel, Spellfire, and a few months later another book was published by a first-time novelist named R.A. “Bob” Salvatore. The Crystal Shard introduced the character Drizzt Do’Urden, a dark elven ranger seeking to atone for the sins of his entire race, and a fantasy publishing legend was born. To date, more than 30 million Drizzt novels have been sold by themselves.

The Realms grew and expanded. The continent of Kara-Tur, previously developed in 1985 for the Oriental Adventures sourcebook, was bolted to the eastern side of the Realms (with Greenwood’s blessing). The western continent of Maztica and the southern continent of Zakhara were explored in further boxed sets. Dozens of adventures and supplements explored the gods, power groups and races of the Realms in remarkable detail. In 1989 the Realms made the transition to D&D 2nd Edition through an epic campaign known as the Time of Troubles, or Avatar Wars, the first of many “Realms-shaking events” that unified a setting noted for its expanse and scope.

The setting expanded to a successful comics run and also a line of well-received video games, such as Curse of the Azure Bonds. However, it was the epic dungeon-crawler Eye of the Beholder (1991) that became a major crossover hit with general gamers and expanded the audience even further.

D&D and the Realms ran into a major problem with the collapse of TSR in 1997, during which time it was briefly possible that both would disappear altogether. However, Wizards of the Coast stepped in and bought both the game and the setting. This led to a creative renaissance for the setting, spearheaded by the hugely popular video game Baldur’s Gate (1998), the first RPG to be released by BioWare. D&D 3rd Edition arrived in 2000 and was followed by the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book in 2001, one of the most handsome RPG books ever published. Over the next seven years the Realms continued to peak in popularity, with more video games such as Icewind Dale and Neverwinter Nights contributing to its success.

In 2008 D&D launched its 4th edition, but the surprising decision was made to effectively destroy the Realms, turning it into a kind of post-apocalyptic, high-concept setting. The decision was vehemently rejected by the overwhelming majority of Realms fans; sales of the 4th Edition D&D and Forgotten Realms material were disappointing and the setting spent several years in the doldrums until 2014, when Wizards of the Coast launched D&D 5th Edition. A streamlined, back-to-basics version of the game, it proved an immediate, huge hit. Even more notable was that, for the very first time, the Forgotten Realms was now the default setting for the D&D game. The new setting rolled back most of the disastrous changes from 4th Edition and restored some faith and popularity in the setting.

There are still some worlds left unconquered. A Forgotten Realms movie is in development for release in 2021 or 2022, and Larian Studios are working to relaunch the video game line with the eagerly-awaited Baldur’s Gate III. After a short hiatus, the novel line has been relaunched by R.A. Salvatore with a new run of Drizzt books, although there seem to be no plans for more material at the moment. And, watching over it all, remains Ed Greenwood, who still insists he has far more unpublished notes and setting material than has ever been seen formal print. On that basis, the Realms will be around for a long time to come.

Mapping the Realms

Greenwood’s original map of the Realms focused on the continent of Faerûn, extending west to the island of Evermeet; south to the jungles of Chult and the island of Nimbral beyond; east to Semphar and the Horse Plains; and north to the towering Spine of the World mountain range and the Endless Ice Sea beyond. He had little notion of what lay elsewhere in the world, except for a huge island chain to the north-west called Anchôromé.

Other writers and editors soon expanded the setting. The 1985 Oriental Adventures book by Dave “Zeb” Cook had detailed an Asia-like land called Kara-Tur. This was retconned (and shrunk in the process) into the eastern half of the continent in the Kara-Tur: The Eastern Realms boxed set (1988). In 1990 the Horde boxed set explored the Tuigan plains which linked the two subcontinents. In 1991, the Maztica Campaign Set added a new continent far to the west of Faerûn. In 1992 the Al-Qadim sub-setting was launched, detailing the lands of Zakhara to the south of Faerûn.

Through all of these boxed sets, adventures and campaign guides, maps were a constant feature. Not just maps of the continents and landmasses, but maps of individual countries, cities, streets and even individual buildings. The City System (1988) set contains a colossal map of Waterdeep which is too big to fit inside most average-sized homes, and names virtually every building in the city. The Forgotten Realms is almost certainly the most heavily-mapped fantasy world in existence, with literally thousands of maps existing of its various locations.

Despite that, a full, canonical world map of the entire planet of Abeir-toril had to wait until the release of the Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas (1999) on CD-ROM. The atlas featured almost every single map from every single Realms product ever released plus lots of new ones, and also a complete world map which added multiple new continents to the planet. Ed Greenwood would later reveal some new information on these continents, but, twenty years later, they have still received scant development compared to the originals.

A New Map of Toril

My new map of Toril depicts the planet as it stood between the 2nd and 3rd Editions of the setting. When 3rd Edition setting was released in 2001, the map-makers chose to shrink the main continent of Faerûn to remove empty space in the south; given that Faerûn was never the biggest fantasy continent in the first place, sometimes straining credulity given how packed it was, this was unnecessary and was eventually reversed in 5th Edition.

4th Edition, much more controversially, blew up the continent in a magical catastrophe known as the Spellplague and completely reshaped it. Fortunately, most of these changes were promptly abandoned in 5th Edition, which restored the continent to its former glory.

To create this map, I used a base model from my twenty-year-old copy of the Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas (this also inspired some colour choices, particularly for the mountains) and information from canon sources and from some of the better fan maps out there. A more detailed map of Faerûn will – hopefully! – follow, although it will be considerable work.

The World of Abeir-toril

The world of the Forgotten Realms is an Earth-sized planet called Abeir-toril, “Cradle of Life” in Auld Wyrmish. Toril is the third of eight planets in its star system, and it possesses one large satellite, Selûne, and dozens of smaller satellites, asteroid-sized bodies called the Tears of Selûne.

Toril is divided between one very large continental landmass, almost big enough to qualify as a supercontinent, and three other continent-sized bodies. Five large island-continents and thousands of smaller continents are also known to exist.

The main continental landmass is divided into three lesser continents or subcontinents:

Faerûn is located in the west of this landmass, running from the Endless Ice Sea to the Great Sea and from the Trackless Sea to the Tuigan Plains (or Hordelands) in the east. Faerûn is the original and principle setting for the Forgotten Realms campaign and by far the area of the planet with the most development. Faerûn vaguely resembles Europe and the Near and Middle-East in the medieval period, with the landlocked Sea of Fallen Stars serving as a Mediterranean analogue.

Kara-Tur is located to the east of Faerûn and is the home of the mostly-defunct Oriental Adventures and Living Jungle sub-settings. It is an Asian-inspired land of vast empires, huge cities and adventure. Kara-Tur is the home of the largest nation on Toril, the Shou Lung Empire, and the tallest mountain range, the Yehimal, which is even taller than the Himalayas.

Zakhara, the Land of Fate, lies south of Faerûn and south-west of Kara-Tur. The home of the Al-Qadim sub-setting, it is a land of vast, boiling deserts and cities clustered around oases and bays. Zakhara is inspired by the mythology of Arabia. The largest single city on the planet, Golden Huzuz, can be found in Zakhara.

In addition, several other continents can be found elsewhere in the world:

Maztica, the True World, lies to the west of Faerûn across the Trackless Sea. It is inspired by Aztec and Mayan mythology and consists of jungles, volcanoes and deserts. North of Maztica lies a land of open plains more reminiscent of the American West, although this area has not been explored much in canon materials.

Katashaka lies to the south of Maztica and consists of steaming, hot jungles inhabited by various hostile lizardfolk. Katashaka seems to have been inspired by South America, but it has received relatively little development so far.

Ossë is a large landmass lying to the east of Kara-Tur. It is quite hot, sparsely-populated and has not yet been explored in detail in any canon materials. Based on the limited information available, it appears to be a supersized version of Australia.

There are numerous islands of note in the world, the most famous of which are Evermeet, the home of the elves located far across the Trackless Sea; the Moonshae Isles off the coast of Faerûn; Lantan, the land of engineers and tinkerers; Nimbral, the mysterious Sea-Haven; the islands of Anchôromé off the coast of Maztica; Wa and Kozakura off the coast of Kara-Tur; and the large island-continents of Myrmidune, Tabaxiland, Aurune and Braaklosia, about which relatively little has been revealed.

oikawa: ah, oikawa. he’s proud and loyal and trusting, upon being petty and a little sneering toward those he considers adversaries. his sort of childish nature set me back a bit, but come on. the man is a perfect representation of nike

iwaizumi: iwa is more difficult in my eyes bc yes he has a gruff exterior, but he’s shown to be dedicated to those around him and emotional, proud of what he accomplishes but also exceedingly hard on himself (which makes him similar to oiks in that respect, but oikawa’s self-doubt manifests in wrath and his manifests in melancholy). i think his parent would be apollo, which pays tribute to his athleticism and that *chefs kiss* beautiful sun tan

hanamaki: this one is easy for me. makki is communicative, multi-faceted, and a little mischievous, which definitely puts him as a hermes baby for me. plus, hermes is often associated with athletics which fits the bill

matsukawa: mattsun was more difficult than makki for a couple reasons-- he’s shown to have a similarly teasing side, but in general is more reserved, a little calmer, though just as observant and helpful as the other third years. i think sticking with the communicative theme helped me put him as a child of morpheus, and i think this deity being the least known of these three is pretty consistent with mattsun being the quietest of this bunch

Marvel has revealed its plans for Comic-Con at Home, this year's virtual San Diego Comic-Con event. Marvel appeared in Disney+'s plans and Hulu's plans via the Hellstrom series. NCIS: Los Angeles S11E11 - Answers

In the 11th episode of the 11th season of NCIS: Los Angeles, it’s the mid-season finale, but before the show goes on break and returns at the start of next year, the team have big discussions in store as they all are facing big potential changes in their futures.

This was One of the Best Episodes I Have Ever Seen. The title says it all as this episode provided us with so many answers to various questions we’ve been asking ourselves for a long time and now they give us clarity and insight on the future of the NCIS LA team. For a change, the team wasn’t out on the field for the whole episode, but instead they were all at OSP having important discussions about themselves and their futures. To be honest, I’m always wanted an episode just like this one, but I never thought it would happen until today and this episode was truly amazing, spectacular and just downright breathtaking. The episode begins with the team finishing one case, but soon find themselves preparing for another and while they get themselves ready at HQ, they all take this time to discuss their futures.

First, our beloved Densi. This was one of the best highlights of the entire episode as we can jump and scream for joy as it’s revealed that for the last few months, Kensi and Deeks have been TRYING TO HAVE A BABY. DENSI ARE TRYING TO GET PREGNANT!!! YAY!!! Unfortunately, Kensi and Deeks still have yet to get pregnant despite their best efforts and now the weight of that is starting to effect them with both expressing their fears and frustration to each other. Densi honestly have the best emotional scenes together as it’s just great to see them being emotional and vulnerable and find comfort and support with each other. Kensi is worried she might never be able to get pregnant as it does unfortunately happen to some women and Deeks is afraid of the future to come for their child and what kind of father he will be since he didn’t have the perfect childhood himself. I love that Deeks and Kensi can truly be themselves around each other. In the end, despite their fears, Kensi and Deeks decide enough is enough and let their fears go and simply live in the moment because it will happen, they will get pregnant when the time comes. Plus for a split second I thought Kensi was upset because when she mentioned her dad I thought. OMG is it the anniversary on when he died? Also, I LOVE ALL THE DENSI KISSES!!!

Second are Callen and Sam’s moments were probably the most intense throughout the episode as they had some tough conversations about both their past and future, but I’m glad they both got closure and have a plan for their futures. Sam did a great job getting Callen to open up as he isn’t very willing to share his feelings or thoughts, but that is definitely one of Sam’s super powers, not to mention he can read Callen like a book. I’m surprised to discover that apparently, Callen still loves Anna, but he blames himself for not telling her he loves her back and in the end apparently, he was the one who ultimately ruined their relationship? Since Anna killed Abram Sokolov back in season 9 which resulted in her going to jail and later on the run, it was ultimately downfall to her and Callen, especially since she blamed him for what happened since he testified and told the truth, even though she told him to. However, after Sam and Callen’s conversation, it seems now it was all a test from Anna to Callen to see if he really loved her and in Anna’s eyes, Callen failed, making her believe he never really loved her at all. I realize now that Sam was right, it seems that Callen really did push Anna away, because just like Hetty’s job offer, Anna was the real deal. Anna was a permeant part of Callen’s life until he pushed her away. This newfound perspective into Anna and Callen’s relationship proves, things aren’t always black and white. Sam seems to have gotten through to Callen since he’s declared he’s going to find Anna. I wonder how he intends to make things right between them. 

Aside from the focus on Callanna, I enjoyed the other realisations that Callen also needs to discover who he is today. Since he finally learned the whole truth about his past and lead his father to rest, Callen now needs to learn what kind of man he truly wants to be. As for Sam, I am so happy that he has finally gained peace and closure regarding Michelle’s death at last. Sam is finally ready to move on and he deserves to be happy and hopefully that means we will get to see him and Katherine get together sometime in the near future. Plus, I am really happy he decided to turn down the job with Lance Hamilton and has a whole new plan to OSP better than ever with Callen taking on Hetty’s job... which he accepts at last. I’m looking forward to seeing them face their futures and I think Sam was right, Callen is finally starting to become "a real boy" at last.

Finally, Neric. To be perfectly honest, these two really had me confused most of the time as their discussion was both a little about their relationship, but also involved Nell’s family, revealing her mom is getting worse, her father has become a full-time caretaker and now she is living with her sister, Sydney. I feel bad for Nell as the stress of her relationship with Eric and troubles her family really started to effect her all at once. Regarding Eric and Nell’s relationship, Nell seems to think they maybe moving too fast since they just jumped right into a serious relationship without ever actually dating. It reminds me of a season 6 episode when Deeks and Kensi faced somewhat similar issues shortly after they first got together. However, unlike Densi, who both decided to take their relationship slower, Nell decided to hit the "reset button" on her and Eric’s relationship. I ain’t gonna lie, I Really thought Eric and Nell were gonna break up. In all honesty though, I felt the conversation was once again more focus on Nell and her family than really her relationship with Eric, which was kinda a disappointment in some ways. I was really looking forward to seeing a bit of drama in their relationship as it’s always interesting to see any relationship face a few troubles or obstacles because in the end it makes a relationship all that much stronger, which is what I was hoping for Eric and Nell.

Anyway, I feel this episode was perfect as it was a good way to prepare us, the fans for the next chapter of NCIS: Los Angeles. I know there have been some people, including myself, worried this episode was a sign, indicating this could very well be the final season of our beloved television series. However, after finally watching this episode, I don’t feel worried or concerned anymore. This episode was the perfect example of the old saying, "When one door closes, another one opens". Everyone on the team were saying goodbye to their worries and concerns and are finally ready to face the next chapter of their lives and it couldn’t be at any other perfect time because we are also reaching the end of 2019 and will soon be moving on to 2020. Personally, I feel this episode was just a perfect way to say goodbye to the worries and fears and be more open and ready for the good times to come and I really believe we have plenty more good times to come for NCIS: Los Angeles in 2020. Both for the show and ourselves.

Overall, this was a truly great episode, leaving me with a lot of happiness and high hopes for the rest of the season to come in 2020. BTW, I liked that Kensi mentioned her minor crossover with Hawaii Five-0 from years ago and I still can’t believe the bar is called, The Squid and Dagger. Plus I was happy to see that Granger was mentioned.

Alright, I feel like I am jumping the gun.

Me and everyone else who make BBTAG crossover shit always IMMEDIATLY to everyone world hoppign and hanging out without giving regards to how it starts.

So let’s look at the situations they are in at the time of BBTAG’s first story mode (like I said No AH, SK or AB)

Going off of the endings of their Episodes, in Blazblue we see Ragna leaving Noel to be found by Makoto, Ragna chewing out Rachel, and Hazama having System’s Crystal. All of these could be wrapped together.

Small retcons could be made to explain Noel’s outfit, Azrael being there we could just explain as the BB crew knowing his reputation, but I have NO excuse for Es being present.

I should really make a novelization of BBTAG that actually gives a more serious twist onto this.

Persona and Under Night are more gag endings, with Persona ending in a high school AU, and Under Night just resulting in the battle royale in Kanzakai.

RWBY just ends with the team back in the dorm with their system crystal.

Now for my idea, assuming that everyone keeps a Keystone, 1. Not too sure if Hazama will end up with it (he will eventually for some special bullshit) so either Rachel or Kokonoe. 2. Assuming that Yu will telport back to Inaba with his friends, then Aigis would go along too and Yu would hand the System crystal over to Aigis to give to Mitsuru back at Shadow Ops HQ. 3. Not too sure on Under Night, There’s no real Big Good in Under Night and we haven’t seen too much of Licht Kreis’ top brass to get a feel for them, so Under Night is up in the air. and 4. Ruby keeping System in her pocket and then tyring to hide it only for her to be discovered by Ozpin and all the shit that follows because seriously RWBY should be the LEASt prepared to deal wit comsic other worldly bullshit.

That is where the peices lie, but the next big question is......why?

WHY do all the charactrs start coming over? Who is the first one to try and reach across dimensions and have an interdimensional skype call or something? Rachel would want System locked up so she doesn’t cause any more damage plus she doesn’t want other worlds to get dragged into their cosmic game with Terumi and/or cause distractions, and I doubt the Blazblue bag guys want to add MORE variables to their complex plan of manipulation. I don’t see any other reason for the other keystone holders to connect. I could only see the more friendly main characters wanting to see their interdimensional buddies again but goign to all that trouble seems like much.

BUT, if soem heroes start coming over to Blazblue world and making friends and helping them out, THEN the BB baddies might start getting nervous and just call on the bad guys of the other worlds just to get some man power to keep these new guys off their tails so they can keep their o.g. plan on track. With IDK the promise of ultimate power or something, destroying their worlds and the  gving them the power of Observation to make them the gods of their world

And then there is a HUGE division in the characters with factions and such:

With Blazblue you have the main Coup with Kokonoe Tager, Makoto and Noel (this is before CP but after CS) with Kagura and Hibiki helping on the inside and Celica most likely still being made, Jubei is training Jin, Platinum is with Bang, Ragna is with Tao, and Carl are all on their way to Ikaruga for various reasons. Litchi joins the NOL and Tsubaki is brainwashed.

You have Litchi joining the NOL because she wants to cure Roy no matter the cost and Kokonoe is being a callous bitch

Bang would speak of Kagura being a traitor to the NOL and how Jin killed his master Tenjo

Then if any of them run into Bullet wanting to find the truth about what happened to her captain from Kokonoe only for Koko to sick Tager on Bullet to kill her.

Tager not being able to disobey Kokonoe due to his programming and Kokonoe doing a LOT of shady things

These things do not seem liek they’d make the other good guys think that the main “good guys” of Blazblue are trustworthy.

For Persona, you have the Investigation Team and the Shadow Operatives. To keep thign ssimple let’s just have the og. Arena Shadow Ops here since having Yukari and Junpei (how have their own jobs and lives) and Ken (who quit so he can have a normal school life) would be a bit much.

Mitsuru would be professional and treat this like the serious mission that it is, but the I.T. mgiht still want to help out their new friends. Adachi is arrested, and SHo is off doing whatever, and Igor and the Velvet Room dudes only show up for the Wild Cards and don’t exactly seem like they’ll join in on big meetings

Then you got Under Night In-Birth, You’ve got Hyde, Linne and Waldsteina as the main crew, with Vatista also being there. Orie is with Lex, Kaguya and Mika as the local Licht Kreis squad, with Wagner and her two attendants there o probabtion. Carmine just runs around and beats people up. You’ve got Amnesia with Hilda, Chaos and Enkidu, with Gordeau being hired as a Mercenary (not a full member) due to his depression. Merkava is also running around doing his own thing, so are Seth and Yuzu, and no one gives a shit what Byakyua, Phonon and Nanase are doing. I’ll have to wait for cl-r to come out to see how Londrekia will fare in all this, but then we’ve gotside guys like Kuon, Azel, and tons of other side characters.

Under Night is hard because everything story wise we’ve seen has technically been a prologue in Chronicles Mode, and Arcade Mode is a mish mash of events that don’t know which is canon, and all of them make Hilda look like the biggest chump in the universe.

For RWBY, in Volumes 2-3 they are in a time of peace, not feelinjg too good after the Breach, and I doubt they would want to stick their noses in an interdimesnional conflict if it’ll come to bite their world in the ass. Cinder and company are trying to lay low since they are undercover, Roman is arrested on Ironwood’s ship, Adam is off preparing the WF for the Fall, and Salem and co. are doing.......whatever they were doing for the first 3 volumes.

Preventing Apotheosis Part 1

This is the first chapter of my Spies Are Forever/The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals AU/crossover where the events of SAF took place in modern day and Curt gets sent on a mission to gather information on a strange meteor that fell in Hatchetfield and report back to HQ. But will Curt and his new partner be able to make it out alive?

Curt finally felt alive for the first time in four years. After getting back in the field, he swore he would never let himself slump so far into a depression like that ever again, even if he had to see Owen die before his eyes for a second time. Especially since the Owen he shot wasn't the Owen he had once known. No, his Owen was a lighthearted suave spy who always got the job done. He was sarcastic, funny, brilliant, there weren't enough words to describe how great he was. But the Owen he had faced wasn't that same man, not anymore at least. The Owen he knew had died when he fell off those stairs all those years ago. His eyes were cold and harsh and held none of the lively warmth they once did, and he was a complete sadist. He was going to torture him until he died, and he wore a sadistic grin the whole time. Not to mention the countless number of people he had killed. God, he had slaughtered so many young girls... Curt had no choice when he pulled the trigger. 

He felt his work phone buzz in his pocket and pulled it out, looking at the screen. One new text from Cynthia that read, "Get your ass to my office now." He knew she probably wasn't mad at him, that's just the way she talks. Plus if she was angry, she would've used way more curse words. So he didn't feel too nervous when he walked into her office. 

"Sit." He did as he was told, much like an obedient dog. "I have a new mission for you. Just came in this morning, and we still don't have a lot of information, but that's where you come in. Late last night a large meteor fell in the town of Hatchetfield, Michigan and there've been a few reports of some of the residents breaking out into singing and dancing. Apparently this isn't the first time something like this has happened, so you're gonna be teaming up with someone who's dealt with this before." She handed him a file to flip through as she continued talking, "His name is General John McNamera and he works in a special division of the military known as P.E.I.P. Basically what they do is they go to these meteor crash sites and stop whatever the fuck is going on from spreading, and make sure no one else hears about it." She leaned back in her chair to prop her feet up on the table and took a drag from her cigarette. "I want you to get some samples from that damn space rock so Barb can run some tests on it. And anything else that seems like weird alien shit or whatever."

Curt blinked a couple of times, "Excuse me, did you say aliens?" He fought off his laughter because he knew from experience that laughing during a briefing would end in an ass kicking. She narrowed her eyes and took another puff, blowing the smoke in his face, "Or whatever. We still don't know yet, but based on the other events that have happened, it seems like it might be the case. Now I've been to Area 51 and I know that there's different kinds of these space bastards, so I need you to help me figure out what the fuck we're dealing with."

"Wait you've been to Area 51?"

"Yes."

"So aliens are... real?"

"Jesus Curt you're supposed to be smart! Do you honestly believe that we're the only planet with intelligent lifeforms? Give me a fucking break," she rolled her eyes, bringing the cigarette up to her lips and inhaling deeply, "Honestly I thought your clearance level would've meant you were informed about the existence of extra terrestrials, but clearly I was wrong. Although I'm sure your little "early retirement" brought that to a screeching halt, so no wonder you're out of the loop," she couldn't help but chuckle to herself. Curt looked down at his lap, feeling embarrassed. Cynthia noticed and stopped laughing and gave him a gentle smile, "But to answer your question, yes aliens are real. You're gonna need to fly out as soon as you stop by and get the necessary gear from Barb and not a second later. If you can't manage to get a sample from the meteor, get some air samples and if you can, try to get DNA from the affected citizens. General McNamera will meet you at the Clivesdale airport and you'll take a boat to Hatchetfield since the bridge will probably be closed and going by water will be your best bet. " 

"Alright, and you said that people were... singing and dancing? What, like a musical?" 

"If we knew we wouldn't be sending you, that's kinda the point of this mission."

"Sorry, I'm just trying to understand this."

"We all are Curt, so get the hell out of my office and head down to the lab, Barb's waiting." Curt followed her orders and headed straight for the lab, smiling widely when he saw Barb.

"There's my favorite little scientist! What cool stuff do you have for me?"

Barb looked up at him dreamily before shaking herself out of her love induced state, "So I have some foldable collection tubes that fit in your pocket, a taser phone, a couple of poison dart rings, a pen that's actually an extendable grabbing arm for gathering samples without having to touch them, cufflinks that turn into a shield, a keychain that shoots acid, a few extra guns because you can never have too many guns, especially in our line of work, and I made a special gas mask bowtie just for you 'cause I heard the air might me toxic!" She finished her rambling and shoved a duffle bag into Curt's hands. 

He ruffled through, examining some of the gadgets, "Wow, thanks Barb! You never cease to amaze me," he said. She practically swooned, but he was too busy to notice. Even if he had she doubted that he would've done anything other than pat her shoulder at the most. He looked back at her then at his watch, "Well, if that's all then I better get going. Cynthia said I had to leave as soon as I got my things."

"Oh! W-well be careful!" 

"I'm always careful, how do you think I got to be the world's greatest spy?" She just shook her head as she watched him leave. Curt Mega sure was something else.

He went to the hanger where the jets were kept and after checking that it was ready for flight, he climbed into the cockpit and took off down the runway. He had the coordinates set and followed the path until he reached his destination.

Mac Ever After Metas

Don't have any art at the moment so here's some metas I had for the Mac x Ever After High crossover au I've been playing with, divided into Character Metas and Story Metas. Enjoy!

Character Metas

Macgyver characters at EAH:

Mac: Professor Angus Mac Cumhaill (pronounced mack-cool), the latest Fionn Mac Cumhaill and the Science and Spells teacher at EAH. Has received several warnings over "accidentally" blowing up parts of his lab (infinite wisdom but he's still kinda a dumbass). Is generally the preferred science teacher of the students. Is also nicknamed Blondie, presumably for the irony (because Fionn just means light haired).

Jack: Sir Jack Dinadan, the latest Sir Dinadan of Arthurian legend. He runs a home security business located in Bookend that serves many of the area's royalty. There's rumors that he's the mysterious "boyfriend" that Professor Mac has mentioned in passing but no student has ever seen. Got turned into a stag once, did not enjoy it, Mac just laughed at him.

Riley: professor of experimental fairy math by day, white hat hacker by night. The next Paul Bunyan (she hacks trees). Was previously rumored to be dating professor Mac before he put the rumor to rest and mentioned the infamous boyfriend. She helps Jack with his business by testing security systems for their hackability

Bozer: Drama teacher, professor Mac's best friend, role unknown. He's the faculty advisor for the costume department during play/musical season. Might be Dr. Coppelius??

Matty: advisor to the Royal Student Council by day, leader of the Phoenix Round Table team by night. The current Goll Mac Morna (aka the guy who killed Fionn's dad) with the Phoenix as the Fianna. She's actually still in charge even though it should technically be Mac cause of the story but he wants to be in the field more than he wants to be the leader at HQ (Oversight doesn't exist in this one cause he actually did get killed and instead Sam and Desi taught Mac how to improvise).

Sam: witchness management 101 teacher, is Druid mom from Fionn Mac Cumhaill (played more of a protective older sister role in this telling)

Leanna: creative storytelling teacher, Bozer's girlfriend, role unknown

Desi: works at Jack's security firm, is Warrior mom from Fionn Mac Cumhaill (played more of a protective older sister role in this telling)

Murdoc as that one bad dude that cursed Fionn's wife? Fer Doirich? Maybe? Plot twist he's the one that cursed Jack temporarily ("When I said I was going stag tHIS ISNT WHAT I MEANT MURDOC!")

Nikki: offscreen character cause she already completed her role as Sadhbh and got turned back into a deer, was in love with Mac but left to complete her story and because she wasn't ready for the married life (which. Fair enough I suppose)

Bradán: Mac and Nikki's kid aka the next Oisín; he showed up in the Enchanted Forest one day while Mac was gathering potion ingredients. Approx. 7 years old (Nikki left about 8 years in the past and he would have been born sometime in that first year) and more than a little feral but he's learning. Can escape pretty much anything (Jack wants to put a bell on him cause he keeps escaping to visit Mac). Is learning English and asl congruently because he wasn't really taught how to speak before coming to Mac.

Some Dialogue Snippets:

Mac: No Brady you can't have a knife, they're dangerous.

Brady: but daaaddd! Papa Jack says you gave a knife to a monkey once!

Mac: one) that was a monkey, if it gets hurt it doesn't matter as much to me as if you get hurt, and two) that was a Swiss army knife. You had a SHIV. One of those is significantly more dangerous than the other in your hands

Mac: Brady you really need to stop ditching Jack; he knows I don't mind you visiting me, he'll bring you over if you want him to.

Brady: yeah but sneaking out is more fun!

Mac: *sigh* I know but you're gonna give him a heart attack one of these days and then he won't give either of us cuddles

Brady: ....no Papa Jack cuddles?

Mac: nope

Brady: ....ok maybe I'll let him bring me over

Mac: that's my boy. Now let's blow some stuff up

Brady: YAY!!!

Story Metas:

(or, how the plot of Mac Ever After goes)

Slice of life story featuring Mac finding Bradán and learning how to raise him, but before we reach the end--psych! This is still action adventure and now eah is under attack. Again. Not sure on a villain yet, maybe Captain Hook? Murdoc as Mac's villain gone hardcore? Not a wonderlandian again there's been too many. Anyways the school's under attack and now Mac and Jack have to do their thing (probly with help from Riley and the others from outside) and save all the students, teachers, themselves and Brady. The students get out with the help of Arion's little magic pool (portals are closed but the villain didn't realize this one existed and so didn't think to check if it was closed) and the power of merpeople kisses (Arion and the other mers kiss each non-aquatic student so they can breathe underwater; Tempis goes first as a guinea pig and so she can warn Pacifica that they're coming cause the telescreen is down). Meanwhile the teachers are fighting goons, Mac's improvising and Jack's guarding the kids. But towards the trail end of the kids suddenly they get attacked and Brady gets taken by the villain themself, with Jack helpless to stop it. (Cue super emotional moment where for the first time Brady calls Jack Papa but it's while he's being torn kicking and screaming from the man himself.) I do like this "two of that and then one of this" format we have going when there's no pony comics to review. Anyway, here's Red Hood~

Ah, dialogue on the covers. It's such a cheesy Silver Age gimmick, and yet I love it. It's just dumb enough to be charming. Particularly when you put a character logo into the text. Also, I don't follow Detective Comics, so I don't know who these characters who aren't Batwoman, Azrael, and Clayface are. I also don't know why Clayface is a good guy now, or which Azrael this is. If this comic is well-written, it'll tell a non-reader like me. Let's find out~

So we open in "The Belfry", which is apparently the headquarters for these hand-picked Batman allies. We also immediately learn the guy with the glowing blue Bat logo is named Batwing. I dunno if this is the same Batwing who debuted in the New 52, who had a way different outfit. It's a cool outfit, so it's fine. Anyway, Batwing thinks they have a problem. See, there's been no crime the last three nights. Let me repeat that: there's been no crime in Gotham for three nights. Naturally, this is cause for concern, and that's not even the weirdest part. There's also an invisible floating building over the city. No sooner does he bring this up does their holographic display of Gotham City flicker and become a text message. The gist of the message is "Thank you for your service, but other costumed vigilantes are no longer necessary". I dunno if they have a group name, so I'll call them the Detective Club. Anyway, the Detectives find this troubling~

Meanwhile, Ma Gunn continues her relevant contributions to the plot by using the old tea kettle trick to loosen the glue on Jason's old mail. This reveals it to be a letter from Jason's father, who, as far as I know, is an unmentioned piece of backstory. So maybe that'll be interesting. Over in the floating building HQ, Artemis is still concerned about Bizarro's recent advance in intelligence, but Jason says the thing last issue with the guard at Arkham proves Bizarro is still all heart. At the same time, Bizarro himself is studying a projection of his brain. Unfortunately, his intelligence is already starting to slip, and he throws a tantrum to keep himself in control. It makes more sense than that sentence sounds. However, as he rips up his floor, he suddenly finds clay on his hands...

Jason and Artemis continue their debate on the way to Bizarro's lab. When they arrive, however, the lab is vacant. Only things left are signs of a struggle and some leftover traces of clay. Jason knows exactly what that means. Before he can say what it is, though, the scene cuts away to Bizarro restrained in a weird chair. Bizarro himself explains that the chair is clearly meant to restrain Clayface, so perhaps it'll hold him. Batwoman says it'll work long enough for them to get answers, and Batwing asks why Bizarro would go through the trouble to taunt them directly. Because of course he has: if Clayface could get in that easily, it must've been deliberate.

Jason and Artemis meanwhile use the quantum doorway to reach Bizarro's location in The Belfry, and they teleport in just behind the Detective Club. All the characters are there, despite not being visible in the previous panel. Jason tries to play tough, but Batwoman completely shuts him out, which I'm always fond of. The floor turns out to be Clayface, which is a variant on "the floor is lava" I've never considered before. Batwoman continues to question Bizarro about why he's in Gotham, and Bizarro replies that he's promised to end crime in Gotham. Which, I mean, is kind of a tall order, even for a super-smart Bizarro, so you'll forgive the Detective Club for being skeptical~

Clayface suddenly rips apart when Artemis calls her axe to her hand. This Clayface is Basil Karlo, the actor and original, by the way. Not that it matters, but trivia for you! Jason mocks Batwing's outfit as he empties his gun into Batwing's gut, but Batwing justly retorts that Jason's outfit is just as awful. And yeah, honestly, I like Batwing's costume better. Artemis knocks Azrael over, and turns to fight the fifth and final member of the team, Orphan. I'm pretty sure Orphan is Cassandra Cain's current identity, which is nice to know she's back in comics.

The fights continue, until Jason requests Artemis throw her axe at Bizarro, and she complies. This is enough to damage the chair and free him. Unfortunately, even Bizarro isn't enough to turn the tide, as Batwoman pulls out a Magical Bullshit Capsule and pops it in Bizarro's mouth, which turns the oxygen in his lungs to silicon temporarily. With the distraction of Bizarro's injury, the Detective Club manages to get the upperhand and knock out the other two Outlaws. The issue ends with the three unconscious, with Batwoman declaring that now they should call "her". And the teaser text leads the reader to understand the "her" is probably Amanda Waller, since it mentions the Suicide Squad. Oh fun, crossover. Because there's not enough of that shit going on in Suicide Squad lately~

“Ending all crime forever”, even in one city, is such a laughably absurd goal that I’m surprised they managed it for three days. Like, it’s a noble idea, but that sort of thing always leads to, like, thought crimes and overreaching your boundaries. Plus, you know, it’s a superhero book set in one of the flagship character’s hometown, so you know they’ll never succeed. It’s fun to see them try, though, right~?

If we do the next issue next time, does the crossover count as a check for our Suicide Squad backlog? (Answer: nope.)

TEXT REVIEW OF INFINITY WAR

UNFOLLOW ME IF YOU DONT WANT TO READ THESE SPOILERS I DONT USE THIS ACCOUNT SEE IF I CARE . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Seriously this is gonna have spoilers go away if you dont wanna see. 

I liked it. Kinda want to see it again and may change my mind on stuff at a later date but I want to get these thoughts out while they’re in my mind. 

1. STORY STRUCTURE:  The structure of this film is weird? But not really. It makes sense once you realize Thanos is the main character. Act One we’re being introduced to all the different heroes, which is done masterfully and paced really well so we never feel overwhelmed despite the sheer size of the cast. Act Two starts once Gamora tells Star Lord he may have to kill her, and then Thanos is re-introduced. I’ll come back to this later but I dislike that there’s a good couple scenes where its just GotG characters interacting with each other with no Avengers around. Like this is an Avengers movie. Couldn’t SOME Avengers character have been around for this Like this is a crossover why are these characters still with just their regular crew? Anyways from then on Thanos’s POV takes center stage. Once Gamora is dead Thanos, like Thor, has nothing he really cares about left to lose. He’s at his lowest, despite also being 2 stones away from infinite power. Act Three begins with him this way, recalling to Doctor Strange his origin, and reasserting his resolve to go through with this. He beats both of the split forces of the Avengers, one on Titan, and the other in Wakanda, and despite nearly being beaten three different times, he manages to snap his fingers. We see the results of the world he’s created, while he sits back and watches the sunset. 

I like that they decided to let Thanos win and kill half the universe. I know it’ll traumatize a lot of kids watching the movie, but like, these things are rated PG 13. There have been sex references and character deaths and such in these for a long long time. Its the big bad final battle for the Avengers and they needed a cliff to hang on and so they hung people. I dont believe the people turned to ash will stay dead, but I didn’t expect a happy ending either. PLUS this gives us time to really focus on the characters that need more room to finish their arcs in the real finale. 

I like the way the movie is structured. It doesn’t feel overcrowded and it makes a lot of sense when you realize its Thanos’s movie not any of the heroes’. And it helps make Thanos the most developed bad guy in any MCU film. SPEAKING OF WHICH. 

2. CHARACTERS: (the long one)

-THANOS: The best bad guy in any MCU film. Not my FAVORITE bad guy in an MCU film though. Loki still holds that title, and if we’re counting the Netflix shows, Fisk and Kilgrave are still PRETTY dope. Thanos is WONDERFUL. But I neither love him or love to hate him. I appreciate what was done with him though. He earns his place as the biggest threat in this universe, despite a lack of real competition. You feel his struggle, even though you really want him to fail. Its really well done. Cant help but wonder why no mention of his love for Lady Death though? I at least expected Hela to show up and be like “SURPRISE IM LADY DEATH” or something idk. We never saw her die in Ragnarok. Is that really not something they’re gonna at least do something off of? 

-THOR: despite spending MOST of the movie on what is basically a side quest, he’s the hero who gets the most development. I figured that the way Ragnarok was handled was done specifically to set this up and I got what I expected to fall out from that and then some. I love his arc in this. I love his conversations with Rocket and I love how powerful he is now. He’s just really well handled and I love how he’s developed as a character. Also, side note, I like that each Avengers movie changes which of its members gets the most development. Cap was the one who was still finding his place and going through an arc in the first one, Tony is dealing with paranoia and being the one to create Ultron in AoU, and Thor is still dealing with the death of his people here. 

-TONY: I have less to say here. I hate nanite tech being used in pretty much anything. idk why it just bothers me. It always feels dumb. but it was fine here actually. I love his conflict with Strange and Peter and the other Peter. I love that he has to deal with watching everyone else die. The whole movie plays on your expectation that Tony is going to die in the end and then COMPLETELY subverts that and I love it. 

-DOCTOR STRANGE: Great. Comes off a little more of a jerk than he does in his own film but we also mainly see him through the eyes of Tony, so I think thats why. I love his magic and how smart and calculated he is in combat compared to the other characters. The Russos are VERY aware and very good at showing the characters’ character traits via how they fight which is good considering how much action there is in this movie. 

-SPIDER-MAN: I swear he’s more competent here than in his own movie. Also we see SPIDEY SENSE GO OFF which we NEVER SEE HAPPEN IN HIS OWN MOVIE. He still doesn’t REALLY feel like Peter Parker though which is weird bc he almost did by the end of Homecoming and now here he just kinda reverted back out of that.

-GAMORA: Really great. Somewhere in between Guardians 1 and now she stopped being every single one of Zoe Saldana’s characters in anything ever to being a pretty fleshed out character. Though its kinda weird that Thanos’s other children in this movie are so much more loyal to him than her and Nebula are? Like whats up with them? Why is Gamora the favorite when she openly hates him? 

-STAR-LORD: Great. Not much else to say. 

-ROCKET AND GROOT: ALSO great. They’re especially great as sidekicks to Thor. They have some great exchanges, even if their screentime was primarily spent on a side quest. I nearly squealed when Groot used his arm to create the Stormbreaker Axe. I’m annoyed Groot died again at the end. WE’VE SEEN ROCKET MOURN GROOT’S DEATH BEFORE THIS ISN’T INTERESTING OR NEW.

-DRAX AND MANTIS: pretty good. I like them both. If anything there’s probably too much of them. I love them so I cant complain too much but like idk I feel like we saw more of these Guardians side characters than some of the Avengers main characters in an Avengers movie. 

-WANDA AND VISION: Wanda has always been one of my fav characters in the MCU and that doesn’t change here. Her romance with Vis is great. Honestly I love her whole arc and I love how its foreshadowed by Gamora telling Quill to kill her earlier in the film. Wanda having to lose the closest person to her AGAIN is emotional and sad and everything and idk Elizabeth and Paul give great performances and both do a great job playing some good characters. Vis is basically a damsel in distress the whole film, which seems disingenuous because he’s like the most powerful avenger prior to Thor’s buff over these last couple movies. But I guess it makes sense in context. They’re not GREAT but like I said I like them so I’m biased. 

-CAP, FALCON, AND NAT: Kinda useless tbh. They dont do much. They dont even have many lines. Like they fight in the Wakanda battle. Thats it. They’re tired and grumpy because they’ve been on the run for TWO YEARS. Something we dont see at all. Not that thats what I want to see, but... they’re basically just there to shuttle Wanda and Vision to Wakanda and then fight a bit. 

-T’CHALLA, OKOYE, SHURI, AND M’BAKU: Even quieter and less notable than the Cap crew. Which really cheapens how much of the film takes place in Wakanda. Like, why does the Cosmic stuff feel authentic to what James Gunn built in the Guardians movies, while this stuff feels so underwritten and underrepresented? We have four Wakandan characters here and they do so hecking little. AND THEN T’CHALLA IS ONE OF THE PEOPLE WE SEE TURN TO ASH. WHAT? WE ALREADY GOT A FAKE OUT DEATH WITH HIM IN HIS OWN MOVIE. I HATED IT THERE. WE GOTTA SEE HIS FAMILY DEAL WITH HIM BEING DEAD AGAIN??? Shuri better become black panther in avengers 4 man. thats the only way I’ll be ok with him dying a SeCONd TiME. 

-BUCKY, RHODEY, NICK FURY, MARIA HILL, LOKI, RED SKULL AND HEIMDALL: all play really small parts but manage to do their jobs and be really notable anyways. Shoutouts to them. 

-BRUCE BANNER: meh. Bruce has finally kind of accepted the Hulk but Hulk is scared of Thanos so he wont come out. So Bruce spends the whole movie in his head having conflict with himself and not really engaging with whats going on? Kind of a dumb choice imo like if CAP is a minor character whos mainly there to banter with other people so should Banner. We dont even really see him interact with Ross or Rhodes once he gets back to Avengers HQ. dumb but not a big deal. 

3. SMALL DETAILS:

-Music was weirdly lacking from a lot of the movie. Like it feels like Silvestri only orchestrated like half of the film. So much of it is just left.. quiet. Empty. This is INFINITY WAR. IT SHOULD BE ALL ABOUT THE SPECTACLE. 

-Are Valkyrie, Korg and Miek still alive? We dont see them at all on the Asgardian ship? 

-What happened to Sean Gunn’s character? Also wasn’t Nebula still with the Guardians at the end of Vol 2? Did I miss something or...?

-How did Thor know to go to Wakanda? He should have been going to Titan to meet up with Quill, right? 

-How does the Bifrost work if the Bifrost is broken? That was a big thing in Thor 1 wasn’t he? 

-They didn’t get Hugo Weaving back to play Red Skull but thats fine I still geeked out when he showed up. 

-Peter Dinklage was good but he was in the movie too long. Thor’s stuff really felt side questy even though its the best stuff in the film.

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

There are quite a few, actually. Pretty much all of @fortune-maiden‘s boueibu fics bc they always make me smile, the vld fics Recoil/Release and Keith’s ‘Physical Contact’ Initiation Program, and all the gift fic people have written me and Distractions and Pliant by tastewithouttalent but they’re both enatsu smut and i’m embarrassed. I go back to pretty much all my bookmarks but sometimes I have to be in a certain mood to read them, I guess.

7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?

um... slice of life aus, I suppose? most of the stuff i write is loosely canon compliant now that i think about it...

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at? Writing certain scenes or genres, replying to comments, updating better, etc.

I’d like to get better at writing fantasy/adventure. And actually writing longer fic. (I can usually plan it out but have trouble actually getting the words on paper when there’s just so much stuff and a majority of the time the fic veers off and i have to plan again...)

Rarepairs, I think. Or relatively popular ships in small fandoms :P

oh god... too many... and they’re spread throughout three devices + an online drive

I mostly jot down snippets and lines and other small ideas like that to incorporate/develop into a fic later on. And I’ll layout longer fic if I intend to write said fic. Though there’s some things (mostly AUs and crossovers) I don’t intend to write but keep in my head to keep my thoughts warm.

No, but I have participated in collaborative things like the free! shipping relay and hqbb

I honestly don’t remember.

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author in your fandom(s) on AO3?

haha no

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

um, if ever asked, I just say “Elena,” which is my first name, so...

19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

There wasn’t a specific author, but the fic catch a falling star by hoshruba is the fic that inspired me to really get into fic writing. I had written pjo/hoo fic on ffnet before then, but catch a falling star is when I started to get serious (for lack of a better term) about it

20. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

Like what you write. Which is crappy advice, I know, but if you write what you want to read and are happy with it, then you’ll keep writing, and when you keep writing you’ll inevitably improve, even if it doesn’t feel like it. You’ll improve bc, at least for me, the more fic I published the more I wanted to publish, and the more I had to learn how to do to write things. Ideas burst out of me at the seams. So write those short drabbles and ramble-ly one-shots and just. Enjoy them. Like what you write.

21. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

I typically plot out longer stories, but my planning stages tend to just be random bursts of ideas and lines in an unorganized list. On the other hand, there are quite a few fics of mine that I started and finished within one sitting - it felt like they wrote themselves.

22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

I haven’t gotten a bad comment that I remember (there are probs a few on my old fics but whatever), but I have gotten some weird/funny comments on said old fics on ffnet.

23. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, smut, etc..)

Action. Fantasy. Fantasy action. Most things outside of slice of life, now that i’m thinking about it...

24. What story(s) are you working on now?

Too many, omg. I still have that last part of crumble; throw, and I also have an iokin fic I want to finish but it’s gotten out of hand... also a long keith (vld) fic but we’ll see how that goes. Plus all my little ideas floating around in various electronic devices.

25. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

Um, the stories ideas kinda just... happen... and whichever I finish/start first are the ones I finish/start first.

26. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

Not a daily one, but when I do sit down to write I try to go for at least 300-400 words (though if I really sit down to write it’ll typically go beyond that)

27. Do you think you’ve improved as a writer since you first started?

Definitely (hopefully)

There’s no fic I’ve written that I actively dislike. If I posted it, I like it, at least a little.

Still writing fic, lol

For me? Writing dialogue, probably.

Starting.

33. Why do you write?

I first started writing because there was stuff I wanted to read but couldn’t find, so I wrote it myself. I don’t think that’s changed. I also think it’s fun to explore emotions and how they translate in to action (or lack of action).
