I honestly applaud you for being so open about your opinions on Wilbur (this is not a dis a promise)

I just feel nowadays people are so much in this mob mentality,,, like a key example would be all the dream stuff that happened this past year-ish and especially the George and catibugs shit

Personally I feel Shelby (wether she will admit it or not) she was pretty salty about how everything ended, in the sense of Wilbur still being extremely successful (pretty sure LoveJoy was about to go to Coachella before she came out with her stuff) and honestly her not being as prominent (at least in my eyes) in the Minecraft sphere

Like I shit you not, I whole heartily believe that if she did not come out with all this relationship stuff with Wilbur she would not have had a creator spotlight during Minecraft’s 15th birthday, but I digress

Shelby and Wilbur’s relationship was a messy one, I won’t deny Wilbur messed up multiple times,,, everyone messes up (we are human after all)

But at no point did he do something so extreme that he got pedophile level of canceling

Their relationship should have been kept privately and not have had old shit broadcasted all over the internet like it was the fucking Kardashians

Once Wilbur responding (it was not an apology,,, hate people who say it was an apology) Shelby changed her demeanor front,,, oh yea I had an ex once he did bad things, if you have a partner who does bad things like x y and z get out of that relationship and they need therapy,,, to OMG WILBUR WAS THE WORST HE IS A LIAR AND KILLS BABIES (I’m obviously over exaggerating, but you get the point)

Tbh if I was Shelby I would be salty too,, but no one deserves that,, who you are in a relationship is different from who you actually are as a person

Obviously Niki dated Wilbur and she hasn’t said shit about it, and probably never will,,, bc she wants to move on, she knows that’s Wilbur probably wasn’t the best to her,,, but she ain’t gonna add more fire to the flames

Shelby never moved on and wants the drama,,, and after it destroyed Wilbur,, she still won’t be satisfied

This is your pal, Bubbles. Once more I have returned to Tumblr from a long break. I think I’m going to be taking these breaks more. Being off the platforms has been slightly relaxing, and I’ve been dealing with life in general more. Life is a crazy bundle of experiences and memories, and I’ve come to realize that I haven't appreciated that. I want to have that sense of peace or wisdom in a way. I'm looking forward to reading the newest chapter of Price Jungkook and Oc, and I saw that you have written a Yoongi oneshot. I’m so very excited to read them.   

Update I have read chapter 5, omg Jungkooooooook you should have talked to her about it, give a heads up at least. It’s only been three days after he carried her to bed, I expected him to be a lone puppy by her side and willing to meet up with Nel. OC has the correct line of thought and isn’t overstepping any boundaries, I like how she approaches this situation when talking to JK. She is so mature. I’ve fallen for her, she is loyal, caring, smart, talented, artistic, intuitive,  and kind. Jungkook and…Adaline? Really out of everyone in that college, honestly, he could have given Yuri a chance or something and I would have been more okay. Himself and Adaline are both taking advantage of each other she they are consenting there’s no problem. It still poses the moral question. I know Jungkook is a prince and all but surely he doesn't need to be in a relationship as of now. He has more than 3 years till graduation (I hope it's that amount). 

Either way, I’m super excited to see Nel and how that would go about. If JK, and Adaline cross paths with the long-distance-now-at-same-place couple that would make such an intriguing scene, I wish that would happen. I hope you having a wondrous and mythical Halloween. I agree so much, he really should have. But he's still learning how to be normal. He isn't used to people caring in the way OC does.

Yuri is too low born for his father to accept and he knows that unfortunately. He's instilled that Jungkook need to be with someone of "good breeding and political advantage" since he was a kid. It's part of the reason he's at RABFA and not another school. RABFA has all the Wests and some of the Easts (see: Adaline) most eligible bachelorettes.

He does have three more years, yes. And yeah, I'm not a fan of the place he's put himself in either, but again he's still learning to navigate life for the first time without his father's watchful eyes all over his every move, so he's bound to make some questionable decisions here and there.

And that's not even delving into his love map.

Either way, I’m super excited to see Nel and how that would go about.

I was watching ikon tv on YouTube again and that made me look at a bunch of old clips from kpop, and I just want to say FUCK THE BIG 3 SO MUCH OR ANY OTHER COMPANY THAT TREATS IDOLS LIKE SHIT

Blatantly favoritism over Twice and Stray Kids, which leads to overworking them, and zero to nonexistent comebacks to got7 and day6 (idk about itzy bc I'm not a fan). For example in 2018, Twice had 6 comebacks (japanese/singles included) and in both 2017/19 they had 5 (japanese/singles included) Stray Kids on the year they debuted, 2018, had 4 and in 2019 they had 5 (japanese/singles included).

This situation got so bad that during a vlive Jeongyeon cried because of how overworked she was. She, Mina and Jisung had to take a break from promotion, I know that those breaks were in different eras but I think that there's a link on why only members of the most overworked groups needed a break.

Also Got7 has like zero promotion, when they had the world tour ahgases were the ones to promote then, because jype didn't bought ads. The boys songs were refused so many times, Mark's schedule were canceled so he couldn't meet his family. They refused to give a solo career to Yugyeom and Mark, when they failed to protect the boys from the sasaengs which lead them moving out so many times and on why Jackson got injured.

How they forced that visual and hairstyle on Jeongyeon, even tho she didn't wanted it, she said during a vlive that she wanted to grow her hair but the company used to cut shorter everytime. They are extremely strict with the weight and the food, a few artists like Sunmi already said that. Somi has told some stories about how they had to sneak food and hide eating in the bathroom, and when Momo was forced to lose 7kg in seven days only to appear in a showcase.

The famous situation flag situation with Tzuyu. She was 16 when that happened, she introduced herself as Taiwanese and held the Taiwan flag as well. I will never forgive yg for disbanding 2ne1, for not helping G-Dragon when he was accused of plagiarism and started suffering from depression but had to continue with the promotion. Same thing with Top that was diagnosed with social anxiety and depression, and suffered a overdose because of the marijuana scandal but yg had also nothing to say.

For releasing Hanbin in a DAY because of false accusations, while it took them WEEKS to release s***gri and only after he released a statement saying that he was leaving bigbang. And for not telling the public or for not defending Jennie during that time everyone were saying she was lazy when in fact she had an ankle injury, but still continued the promotions.

Whether we like to admit or not, SM is probably the best company in the kpop history if we're talking about success, they have a formula that works over and over again, it's a pattern, we can especially see it in Suju, Shinee, Exo and Nct. But omg they have zero compassion for their idols.

Starting from the training, we all know the training for the debut is really difficult, but a lot of people say that between all the companies SM is the worst one, they are extremely strictly and controlling , especially the managers who abuse the power. They have this curated-ness that is quite toxic, and leads to an incredibly perfectionistic and controlling management system. Kai used to practice 8 hours a day so that everything was perfect, like surely work it out bc Kai is one of the best dancers in the industry, but still that's a lot of hours you're basically overworking yourself (I think)

As a result, many idols have even more outstandingly brutal beauty standards than there already are in the kpop industry generally. especially intense weight-loss standards, Taeyeon already said this, during the first 5 years of GG she was constantly battling with eating disorders. Baekhyun has this diet where, instead of eating the food he only chews and then spits out, Sehun in 2017 (I think) had this stage on the Exo tour and he said that he spend an entire month on diet, so he could do that stage. Taemin said on a few episodes of Mtopia that he was on a diet, but you can clearly see that he was extremely thin. Also they have a part in their contracts about plastic surgery, you can see that almost every SM artist has done it a double eyelid surgery.

The blatantly favoritism over Korean idols and the mistreats that happens with idols that aren't Korean (especially with they're chinese), as we saw many times already with examples like Tao, Kris, Luhan, Lay, Winwin, Ten and Lucas before they joined WayV. Or favoritism with certain members of groups, like Taeyong in Nct, of course that favoritism is a part of their formula but still pretty fucked up.

They have such a questionable promotion, like I already read once about. They said that SM promotes the new groups so they can form a better fan base and that way no longer will need the promotion, but still this is extremely bad. Like with BoA, Tvxq or Suju who are still relevant but we barely hear news about them because SM doesn't promote then, and I can already see this with Exo especially in their latest comeback.

They manage mental health horrifically. Like with Taeyeon in 2014/15 when a member (bc SM treated Jessica as garbage) of her group had to leave, which lead to the midia saying it was her fault alongside with the hate she received at that time because of her relationship with Baekhyun, that lead to her depression and eating disorders. Same thing happened with Baek, although he didn't receive the same amount of hate, he still had to suffer with his relationship being in the spotlight while 3 members of his group left, because AGAIN SM treated them as fucking garbage.

For stop carrying about f(x), as a result lead to a witch hunt on Victoria saying that it was her fault for that happening, for Sulli who was suffering from a mental illness but never received a break nor the protection from the media that used to say that she was a bad example. For Jonghyun who was also suffering from depression but never got any help or a break.

And our latest examples Irene and Chanyeol. I don't approve Irene's actions, but the fact that the media is so ruthless with her it's ridiculous and even more ridiculous of SM to not defend their idol, especially when there's so many other celebrities that are WAY worse than her. And for Chanyeol, who was accused of cheating on his girlfriend 10 times, but SM had nothing to say or to defend his image. It took the fans for that to happen, the fans were the ones to find out that was a fake and cover up scandal so the news about the government crisis were not to be seen.

They are so bad at dealing with idol apologies, like why did Taeyong in 2016 had to apologize for something he didn’t do, but they never had anyone apologize for their racist or the cultural appropriation that the idols have done many times already in a lot of mvs????

That's why I hate the kpop industry and the media so fucking much, bc they're ruthless and assholes who are putting so much pressure on the idols, who in the end of the day are humans and are deserving of things like love, privacy and a break to take care of themselves. I truly adore kpop and the dramas, but I'd stop watching and listening with all of my heart if it means that they would stop treating humans beings as fucking trash! They deserve so much more!

A Different Path Part 1

This is based post Beth Boland. 

Things with Beth were becoming too disorderly and dangerous for Rio.  So he made a deal with the feds knowing that Beth would in turn shoot him instead of Turner because her desire to be King was more compelling. So he knew she would do what she could to make sure she held onto it.  He found himself waking up in the hospital sore from the wounds earlier. He was allowed to recover before finishing the deal. Beth Boland was a problem for the Feds and no longer his. 

“Okay well everything is set” Turner said gathering the documents  “where are you going to move?” he asked Rio

“I’m sure you’ll be watching its a surprise” 

Turner sighs circling back to his desk to sit “Don’t forget our deal. We find you engaging in this shit again next time there will be no deal”

Rio’s jaw clenches before he speaks “I heard you” 

“Well see you around” Turner says dismissing him 

He nods walking away. His next stop is to meet Gretchen at her office 

“Wow look at you! Doing okay?”  she says hugging him. This whole ordeal had been just as stressful for her if not more. She initially refused to agree calling him crazy  for coming up with the idea. But seeing him standing, let alone alive, was a huge relief 

“See you worry too much” he remarks

“I had a reason” 

He smiles taking a sip of his coffee 

“So like discussed with the feds you live a simple life and all is good”

“Right” he says sarcastically 

“Seriously Rio let this go” 

He smacks his teeth “I can’t i have many people depending on me, you can’t just walk away from this shit you know that”

“Well is there anything else i need to know you deliberately refused to tell me about the whole Beth Boland situation”

He shakes his head “Nah”

“You know our confidentiality agreement whatever it is we” she points between them “can figure it out”

He nods quickly “I know”

“Well where are you going?” 

“Don’t know yet but ill keep you posted”

She sighs “okay well whatever you decide to do, decide to go please strongly consider who you get in bed with.”

He scoffs and chuckles 

“All jokes aside you have a son I’m sure it wasn’t fun for him to hear that his dad got shot and that he has to leave his friends here and move somewhere else. I don't want to tell you how to live your life but maybe the next woman in your life shouldn't be so willing to pick up the gun and go gun toting around town with you.”  

He nods nibbling on his bottom lip

“This Bonnie and Clyde thing that you’re trying to do creates a lot of issues as we have seen.” She pauses to see if he’s even listening to what shes saying “Don’t you want to walk down the street and not worry that someones gonna be pulling up to do a drive by? or not need a crew around you at all times? or constantly look over your shoulder?” he remains silent with a straight face  she throws her hands up “Anyway i’m getting side tracked just reconsider your life and Marcus’s”

He places the cup down and stands up “Good lookin out”

“Yea take care of yourself”

“Do the same” he retorts 

“Im here you know that”

He turns to face her as he reaches for the door knob “I got your number” 

He watches as his things are packed in a truck. He could go anywhere but where? He ultimately decides to go to Chicago. Why?  It was much bigger city easier to move about without being spotted a mile away. It was definitely different from small town dealings. He already had property in Chicago so there was no need to search for places to stay. His kingdom was much bigger than the feds or anyone knew. But Chicago would be a good change for him and Marcus.

“Coming!” He hears her voice from the other side of the door. “RIO! OMG!” 

“Carol!”  He greets as he walks into her home

“Hey darling how are you?”

“Good good” 

“Hows your shoulder?” she asks touching it lightly 

“Eh” he shrugs as he sits by the island

“So what can i do for you? what do i owe this visit” she asks grabbing cups out of the cabinet

“Came to visit see how things were going?” 

“Good!”  

Carolann and William were a older couple in their 50s. Rio’s business partners both successful at cleaning the money that they never showed up on anyone's radar. 

“I need the name of good schools here and babysitters”

“Are you moving here?” she inquires 

He nods 

“FINALLY! i told you Chicago was the place”

He smiled looking at her “sometimes you gotta learn the hard way”

“I know I know anyway my kids went to private schools here, the public schools are just, they need help, how old is Marcus? How’s he doing” He and the Greene’s had been in business for so long they were basically like family. He had watched their kids grow and they were there when Marcus was born.

“Growing he’s good though. Hes 6”  

“Okay i can get you a list of schools, i can also reach out to my old baby sitter or ask around”

“Yea thanks”

“Its really good to see you doing well”

“Yea how are things going?”

“Great you know that though or you wouldn’t be smiling” 

He smirks remembering past encounters where guns were drawn “Where’s William?” he asks looking around 

“Oh hes in Colorado for a conference” she says taking a sip of her coffee

“Cool” he stands up “Thanks for the coffee ill see you around yea”

“Okay!” she says as she walks him to the door

He left her house and saw the oh too familiar black town car sitting parked at the end of the street. Whatever he’s next move were, they had to be more tactful than before. 

Months pass and Rio and Marcus finally settle into Chicago.  They enjoy exploring the city. He liked not having to drive but sometimes driving was better than taking the CTA (L train) so his car was parked under the building. One by one his crew moves to surrounding cities in Illinois. He’s taking his time there’s no rush to get the money and he’s doing his best to not sweat the small stuff. 

“So whats going on with your love life?” Carol asks as she makes his drink 

“Non you know how it goes” He found himself missing Beth and having a lot of one night flings to get her out of his system

“Yea yea lonely at the top” she repeats what he’s said many times before 

He smirks “what’chu got a friend for me?” he would appreciate a distraction 

“No... well (she looks up).... no, no forget it just asking. Wondering if your looking for a queen”  

He was a frequent person at Carol’s place it was easier to talk business and since there was barely any hiccups there really wasn’t much said. 

He shakes his head in response he wasn’t going to be as open this time 

The door opens and you walk in “Ahhh Y/N you finally made it”  he hears her say 

“Hey sorry” you say as you take off your coat  

You look around the room and greet everyone. 

She gives you a longing hug “mmmm it’s good to finally see you”

Rio looks at you. You looked familiar but he can’t place you exactly. 

“Come sit sit” she says pulling you to sit next to her

“Thanks” 

“Oh sorry what do you want to drink dear?”

“Umm hard cider” you answer as you settle into the sofa

“Yup one hard cider coming up”  

“Remember Rio?” she asks as she returns with drink in her hand 

You look at him “Oh yea hi how are you?” you remember him and how he made you nervous he held this scowl 

“Rio you remember Y/N” she asks him 

He looks confused he was trying to recall but he couldn’t “nah i can’t really” 

Carol cuts in “She’s Preston’s wife remember him?”

Preston your late husband, was one of Rio’s customers “Oohh”  Rio remembers the first time he saw you a run down housewife he remembers Preston telling you to cook and thinking to himself he would never eat your food if you looked like that, only God knew how your food would taste. 

You don’t say much during your time there and nothing really happens but empty conversations. 

Throughout the months you frequently stop by but not much happens when you’re there Carol was the life of the party so you don’t mind giving all the spotlight to her. 

“What’s up wit’cho friend?” Rio asks after you leave 

“Who Y/N?” 

“Yea”  he says remembering you sitting there quietly

She sighs “She’s been through a lot” 

He gave a look that indicated for her to continue

“Lets just say Preston wasn’t what he portrayed to be” He thinks back to his interactions with Preston he was always pleasant 

“What he do cheat?”

“No worse, at least the worst Bill has done to me is have an affair i couldn’t imagine being beaten everyday of my marriage. She’s taking her time adjusting to society and life without him” 

“How long have you two known each other?”

“Oh Bill and Preston were friends first, they introduced us. So like 8 years? To tell you the truth I’m glad Preston is 6 feet under she was too good for him” 

He nods rubbing his chin 

Next time you come around its Carol’s birthday and she’s throwing a huge masquerade party.  Thanks to that lucrative “business”. The venue is full of people and you show up later than everyone else and find yourself walking around until you run into her 

“Hey! I’m glad you came!” she greets you 

“Thanks for inviting me” 

“Come on let me take you to our table” 

When you approach you see Rio in his all black outfit with a mask that covers one side of his face 

“Look who’s here guys Y/N!” 

“Hey!”  you greet as you take a seat

You sit across from Rio and he watches as you interact with Carol and he doesn’t think hes ever seen you smile before. It’s interesting to him to watch you interact with her throughout the night you weren’t as timid nor reserved as your usual self tonight, you even danced with her at some point.

He sees you weeks later at a local dive bar near his loft. He sits towards the back and watches as people come and go by. It was kind of empty early afternoon and curiosity creeps in when he sees you sitting by the bar. He grabs his glass before he approaches you.

“Hey another?” the bartender asks him before taking his cup 

He nods in response  

You don’t look up listening to music playing on your phone it’s only when it sounds like someone calls your name is when you look up

He chuckles “Yea”  

“What about you?”

He smiles “so what happened to Preston?” he asks remembering Carol’s statement about him being 6 feet under

“Oh uh he overdosed on coke, it will be a year next week” 

He makes a face that was not his doing 

“Yea i tried to get him to stop but i couldn’t”

You take a sip and say “Shit happens”

“True” 

You don’t say much to each other and when you finish your drink you leave.

“Uh he’s cool I guess why?” you now wonder how that question even came about, you were talking about the new buildings downtown 

She smiles before answering “He likes you” 

“Who?”

“I’m serious! have you not seen how he looks at you?”

“Like he’s bored?” because you had no idea what she could be even talking about 

“Nooo that man is smitten by you Y/N”  

“We barely talk i haven’t said anything to him for him to like me” pointing out flaws in her theory 

She shrugs “Maybe he sees something in you” 

You roll your eyes once more “Please”

“You know” she sits next to you “any fool with 2 eyes could see that Preston did what he did to you because he was afraid of losing you to the next man, he’s gone don’t let him have that same power over you”

You think for awhile going over the times you have been around him “So you’re saying your business partner likes me?”

It’s not like you were oblivious to Carolann and William’s dealings seeing that Preston was once part of that not to mention one day you walked in on her stuffing money in a duffel bag but chose to not even address it because Preston was still very much alive. 

“Noo not my business partner, but Rio, yes he does just pay attention next time”

Melanie Martinez Should Never Change Her Brand

So if you don’t know Melanie Martinez, she’s a singer/song writer who really launch into the mainstream after her 2012 appearance on The Voice. She didn’t win, the good ones never do, but she did catch many people’s attention with her interesting look. Her hair is split right down the middle with one half bleached and one half black, she wore very preppy clothes, and topped the look off with a giant bow. 

Fast forward 7 years later and she has solidified her brand. She’s Cry Baby, a kid at heart with morbid ways of expressing herself. She traded in her preppy attire for what I would describe as puffy, frilly, and pink. Majority of her songs focus on some element of childhood, and she uses this as a lens to express her feelings in her adult life. Nothing better represents Martinez’s brand than her most recent album, K-12.

So the premise of K-12 is Martinez going through each grade level of school starting with kindergarten all the way to senior year of high school. Each song focuses on some element of school life starting with the first song titled Wheels on The Bus. I can only give my personal interpretation for all of these songs, but I'm sure it won’t be too far off from the general consensus. This song is a play on the classic nursery rhyme of the same name and it’s about children being left up to their own devices when the adults aren’t paying attention. This song is very upbeat and lighthearted vocally and instrumentally, but lyrically it’s a bit more mischievous (couldn’t think of the right word so that will have to do). With lyrics like “Now, I'ma light it up and pass it Puff‚ puff and pass it Don't be a dick and babysit, c'mon, just pass it over here” it reminds me of the side of growing up that the parents like to imagine doesn’t happen. The part where you get high with your friends in the school bathroom, or hookup with the kid who sits next to you just because he’s kinda cute. It happens all the time, but parents like to pretend their child is the exception. They are not. 7.8 out of 10.

Class Fight is up next. The song is about two girls fighting over the affections of some boy. There is a common theme that pops up in some of Melanie’s songs, and that is that her parents are awful. This song is no different. During this fight her dad is encouraging a hesitant Martinez to “go for the throat”. I can’t relate to this song in particular but I’m sure someone somewhere can. It’s less than three minutes long but it’s way too repetitive for me, in fact I just looked it up and the phrase “for the throat” came up 38 times. This song is usually one I skip. 6.5 out of 10.

Her next song is titled The Principal and its about a power hungry man who does not care about those he was suppose to protect. In the song she talks a bit about the state of the US with the opioid epidemic and the constant school shootings in the line “Killing kids all day and night, prescription pills and online fights”. In hindsight I should have already known this, but the song is about our president Donald Middle Name That I’m Forgetting Trump. This song was in my top 3 on the album before I even knew it was about Trump, and now I hear it from a different perspective. She’s frustrated and truly angry with this man, and she feels left behind. The post-chorus is just Martinez calling out asking where’s the principal. I never got that part before but now I have a whole new appreciation for this song. 8.2 out of 10.

Show and Tell is the next song and it has the interesting beat. It feels like a slow grandfather clock ticking. While I'm at it I might as well mention that I love the little effects she adds in backgrounds of her songs, like dogs growling, or kids cheering, it’s a nice touch. Okay back to Show and Tell. This song focuses on Martinez struggle with the constant spotlight that is on her, and how the paparazzi can make her feel like an object that is meant to be observed and toyed with. I love the beat on this song, it makes me feel like something is creeping up on me, I always expect some kind of beat drop but it never really comes. 7.9 out of 10.

Nurse’s Office  is the one song off the album that perfectly describes what my middle school experience was like. In the song Martinez wants to avoid the hell that is school by faking an illness and getting sent to the nurse’s office. It reminds me of all those uncomfortable years we all went through growing up. I remember faking a stomachache and going to the nurse’s office during gym class just to sit alone on a mat for 40 minutes and scroll through my phone. The feeling is real and this song captures it. This song sounds the way Alice and Wonderland looks and feels, there is no better way to describe it than that but hopefully when you listen to it you’ll know what I mean. 8.8 out of 10.

Do you remember all the bullshit you had to pretend to care about in middle school? Like when Stacy told Erica that Bethany wasn’t her friend anymore and omg how dare she do that? Or when someone makes fun of your socks for being too colorful, or calls you an attention whore for dying your hair red?  That’s what Drama Club is about, it’s about how words get misconstrued, things get blown up out of proportion, and if you don’t follow the script of life perfectly you asking for drama. Drama in middle school felt like the end of the world especially because half the time you couldn’t tell what even started it. It was tiring, it was senseless, it was frustrating, and I hate to admit but it was painful, and all on that comes through in the vocals. Thank fucking god  we outgrow that all that stuff. 8 out of 10.

Strawberry Shortcake talks about the pressure many girls feel when they are growing into their bodies. People stare, comment, compare, judge, grab, and hurt young girls all the time and blame them for being too tempting. I heard it from my own mother all the time growing up, she told me going out in cutoff shorts is why men will take advantage of me. In the lines “It's my fault, it's my fault 'cause I put icing on top Now, the boys want a taste of the strawberry shortcake That's my bad, that's my bad, no one told them not to grab” Melanie takes on an apologetic tone when talking about her own body. It is only towards the end of the song when she takes on a more confident tone and claims her body for her self. 8.1 out of 10.

The 8th song on the album is a short little song titled Lunchbox Friends. The song’s about fake/temporary friends that only want you around when it’s convenient. I love the chorus in this one because her voice was altered to be a lower and slightly distorted pitch. There’s not much to say about this song but it is remarkable high on my ranking for this album, 8.6 out of 10.

Orange Juice covers the very serious topic of eating disorders and uses orange juice as a metaphor for bulimia. The vocals are very soothing and the instrumentals relaxing. The song is gentle, and the lyrics are of Martinez trying to comfort a friend that is currently suffering from an eating disorder. It’s a powerful song without needing all the force or heavy beats from a traditional empowerment song. 8.5 out of 10. 

Detention is the one song off the album I always skip. The beat is almost tropical and the lyrics don’t have as focused of a message as the rest of the songs. It’s similar to Show and Tell in messaging,  it’s about dealing with fame and having to be on your best behavior to satisfy other people. But it’s always been the song I could do without. 5 out of 10.

Teacher’s Pet on the other hand is a song I have never skipped when it came up on shuffle. The song’s about a student-teacher affair, and how the student has to grapple with the fact that the relationship is wrong on paper but hiding the relationship makes her feel like a dirty secret. Melanie’s voice is sultry and the beat lurking and intimidating. This song doesn’t hit close to home for a lot of people but it does a great job placing you in the students shoes. 9 out of 10

High School Sweethearts is not only my absolute favorite song off the album but it’s one of my favorite songs ever. The beat and vocals starts very slow and romantic until they pick up pace as the song goes on and it becomes more more bouncy. Melanie is asking her sweetheart to treat her right in her own special and dark way. One line that sums this up best is “Step six If you can't put in work, I don't know what you think this fucking is Step seven, this one goes to eleven If you cheat, you will die, die”. It’s a fun song, it’s a sweet song (kinda), and I’m obsessed with it. 9.99 out of 10. 

We made it. The final song is call Recess. The song reminds me of what would play at end of a movie after the happy ending and when the credits are rolling. The song is about prioritizing yourself and your happiness and not letting others take advantage of you. It’s the perfect ending to the album and it’s a neat little song. 8 out of 10.

okay since i didnt do a fan account for last time i saw vav, i decided i absolutely needed to do it this time especially since jacob was there this time. ill put this under a read more since i ended up talking a lot lol. but a few highlights from last year though real quick:

ace gets more attractive every time and. red is his color no one else can wear red except him

they changed their choreo for it to work for 6 people and i was very sad. but very impressed that they learned it all again

im sure theres more but thats all i can remember specifically off the top of my head. and it was over a year ago oops smh i shouldve wrote it down. anyways this year snapshots were rly expensive so i only got one with jacob and it was so so so worth it. the absolute love of my life apple of my eye my entire WORLD

i personally enjoyed this year much better than last year for a few reasons: it was the same venue who now knew what to do lol and not scrambling like last year. also the sound quality was... off. last year. could hardly hear vocals but this year it was BEAUTIFUL. also!!!! JACOB was there! that on its own makes it worth it for me! also my friend was there with me this year too hehe

ANYWAYS: the fansign. was much more rushed than previous years but that makes sense with the sheer volume of people there. i dont remember what i said to at least half the members lmao but i did tell jacob that i was happy he was here this time and that i missed him. also i literally went mute when i saw ace hahaha

i told lou and st.van thanks for coming (i think?) and originally i was gonna tell lou yeehaw cuz he was wearing a cowboy tie thing but i forgot. 

also ziu kept saying my name over and over except he kept pronouncing it wrong dsjhkgfl that letter ㄹ can be pronounced both as an R and an L. so my name is maiRin but he kept saying maiLin. props to him for trying again and again though lol. ziu’s handshake was so so hard too lol like he wouldnt let go so i told him he had a great handshake and he was like :))) YOU TOO!!. hes so loud and energetic lol

during the hi touch i kept thinking about how tall they are!!! like they mustve grown since last year lmao or maybe i shrunk?? anyways me and my friend made a heart together for the group photo

the concert was FUCKING AMAZING!! like i said they fixed the sound problem from last time so they sounded sooo good. they did all my fave songs except for abc but apparently ayno choreographed runway specifically for the tour bc so many of us wanted it lol

god. ace unbuttoned his shirt during poison and i think my soul left my body. and baron did that tummy tease by lifting up his sweater..... how can they do such a thing to me... im losing my voice and i can pinpoint the exact song why: dance with me. and spotlight. i screamed all those lyrics believe me!! 

ALSO THE STAGE PART?? where they called fans up on the stage? i got SO embarrassed secondhand. the 30 second eye contact made me so nervous that poor girllooked like she was abt to pass out. and then ayno kept coming closer and baron worked together w/ him and made sure she couldnt walk backwards and THEN? WHAT THE FUCK DOES AYNO DO he uses baron as a wall and does the FUCKING WALL SLAM!!!!!!!!! i dont think we screamed louder than at that moment. i couldnt watch some of the fan service it was just. so much.

and at the end!! baron did a huge dance break for poison’s encore stage and he was so close to me. he looked so fluffy and soft but also s*xy in that turtleneck sweater... 

during ending ments. people started chanting for jacob bc he wasnt there last time and i (cry emoji) as well as chanting ‘best leader’ for st.van. god i love vampz so much. st.van also took a pride flag and wore it too it was nice

and now: the snapshot session. unfortunately i only could afford one and i got mine with jacob. so some background knowledge: in their first concert i also took a pic with jacob where we did the E.T. pose where the tip of our fingers touch and. it was DESTINY OK the flash reflected off the glass behind us and lit up the exact spot where our fingers met and.. i cried when i saw it LMAO. 

SO! i brought that snapshot with me this time to show him!!! and i was able to thanks to some sneaky moves using my sweater and he was like :O but i dont think he focused on the E.T part he was more like: omg u took a pic with me before?? (like he was surprised he has fans? bitch i LOVE you you have so many fans what a humble boy but also. he needs to know hes got fans!!!!) and i was like yes!!! i saw you before!! :^) very happy abt it! and then we took the pic.

and our pose was him wrapping his arm around me. it was so sweet he held up his arm so i could come snuggle up near him and i wanted to literally DIE. and our pic together is so cute ill add it at the end!!!! and this time i did not run away lmao (spoiler 1st time i took a pic with him i ran away and the staff had to tell me to come back so he could say bye) dhfsjgk 

AND i said bye to him without stuttering!!! he smiled so brightly at me ;; and then he said: ill see u again. cant wait to meet you again. and my heart fuckin BURST. he wants to see me again!!!!!! bitch i wanna see u again for the rest of my LIFE!!!!!!!!

anyways im in my jacob feels in particular today now but also all the members were beautiful and talented and wonderful and it was just such a great night. i love them so so so much i would do anything for them

One thing I learned very quickly when answering anons is that due diligence pays off. Responding to an anon’s summary of what someone else said can backfire if they misrepresent what was said. If the anon reports something untoward was said- whether by design or by mistake- and I spent 2 paragraphs berating that statement that was never said then I am the fool. Taking 5 minutes to read the post myself has paid off many times and every time I have taken something I know nothing about at face value- it’s bitten me in the ass. Had any of the ccers bothered to actually read the post they would have realized that Nonnie misrepresented the point. They still would have written something angry and pretended to be so “shocked” by how “vile” we are but at least they would have had a shot at not being the fool.

D’s accounts, her friends’s accounts, enablers’s accounts. Her fake accounts. She tags in her posts every celebrity that crosses her path. Her only job in life seems to be open (and never close) social media accounts. Darren’s accounts? If Mia had control of Darren’s accounts, Mia would be plastered all over it but in reality, neither Darren nor Mia is active on public social media and they certainly aren’t sharing their lives. Nobody uses their friends’ accounts to plaster themselves. God, this trope is so stupid. Enabler’s accounts? Who the hell are her enablers? Where are these enabler posts just full of Mia’s every move? Her “fake accounts” is the best one though. Here we have some random person trolling the cc fandom and they Eat. It. Up. FetusMiarren hasn’t posted since August 11. Who the hell closes social media accounts? The reality is that Abby spent all day every day talking about MIa. The only person promoting Mia full time was Abby. The reason Notes believes that all these accounts are Mia sharing her whole life is because Abby stalked those accounts and then talked about each post for days. 

What are these people even talking about? Now we reached the point of denying even what she does so she can fits better their theories? I ask you the same question “What the hell are you talking about?” If you had actually taken the time to read the original post instead of working yourself up to a red-faced, foot-stomping rant, you would know what I was talking about and avoided this ridiculous, off-topic rant-fest.

I really love Flower’s response:  I’m appalled at the comparison. God her fans are hypocrites-I’m not sure how we are hypocrites because of a valid comparison.  

She wants notoriety via any means fair or foul and then screams victim if it’s questioned. Mia didn’t make the comparison- I did. Mia doesn’t know me, she didn’t dictate I made the comparison by “any means foul or fair”  

It’s the same argument that she is above criticism because she’s woman and therefore isn’t accountable for her actions. Wait...who in the hell made the argument that she isn’t responsible for her actions because she’s a woman? I’ve seen a lot of fake arguments like this in the last 3 days. Again, I don’t really understand the value of bringing up things nobody ever said as part of one’s argument. It certainly doesn’t lend credibility.

can you believe this meme friendship began over eiji making fun of poor sakura bc she couldn’t lift breads??? like i thought it would be a one time joke and we’d be over it. but here we all.. in the grand year of 2020 still joking about sakura training for the olympics with her loaves of breads. at this point they’re  just always stuck together? i knew sliced bread was held in great regard.. but not to the point that it could help friendships grow like ours.

i love when we plot together. we don’t get to write out all the ideas we share just bc we are both so busy. and i’m also.. so lazy and slow.. that half of my drafts end up staying in my drafts until i get a random burst of motivation to finish them. which is rare. i have things from like.. june and that makes me ... embarrassed (ಥ﹏ಥ) time to delete those and start FRESH. 

even though sakura and eiji and the living and breathing embodiment of a meme. i also love that we have a little bit of angst for them. which makes their friendship realistic?? since they go through so many ups and downs together? ofc when sakura starts remembering her past and distancing herself from eiji that is a BIG down and almost a breaking point of their friendship bc even eiji wasn’t sure what to do??? could he still make sure she didn’t trip over air or would that be over stepping his boundaries?

something i do want to explore with these two is haunted house thread that we were talking about during the spoopy season. but aside from the obvious memes of them always missing each other after sakura flees in fear, but then decides to come back to find eiji. what if / I F / this is post remembering past and sakura can legit see the ghosts or spirits present??? would she pretend to ignore them so eiji doesn’t tease her about ditching him again? or would she dip as soon as the first one appears and leave eiji on his own

HER...... she’s simple, she’s beautiful.... there's not much to say, especially since i’m about to review essentially the same cover 3 times. but I'll extend “cover” to talk about packaging in general? the photoshoots for this were very cute and angelic. It came with stickers which I really liked, I still have some on the back of my phone :)

- Favorite songs: mic drop, best of me, pied piper. but overall this is probably my least favorite album out of the three. she is beautiful in her own right but I come back to her the least. but she had her time in the spotlight

- Least favorite songs: outro: her is one I don’t really listen to... I think I just don’t like the hook. and uh, bts world is kind of making go go unlistenable for me, which is sad. but, overall most of the songs on this album are kind of middling to me.

- Underrated songs: everyone likes to shit on best of me but it’s like, BEAUTIFUL. it’s not best of me’s fault that she was composed by the dicksmokers. have you listened to the LYRICS??? after the first chorus when the synth and snare or whatever drops out for Namjoon’s rap part and he says “ill be kissing your sword,” it’s HOMOEROTIC. and then my other favorite part after the second chorus when they change it up and jimin sings “you’re my salvation, you're my shield, I just need you”? HOW CAN YOU NOT THINK THATS BEAUTIFUL LIKE ARE YOU STUPID??????? ARE YOU FUCKING STUPID????

anyway let’s move onto the prettiest and best sister, the masterpiece...

honestly, um... the fact that bts was nominated for a grammy for this packaging design is... kind of inexplicable? I mean it’s cute, but idk. that’s why they lost to St. Vincent LOL. however, the photoshoots during this era were iconic, and truly nothing will ever measure up to tae’s fake lip ring. the decadence.... is simply unmatched.

- Favorite songs: singularity, 134340/pluto, paradise, love maze, magic shop, anpanman, I LOVE THIS ALBUM OMG.... but I can’t listen to magic shop because it makes me think about how i love jungkook and he really loves me back.... omg im gonna cry just typing that

- Least favorite songs: UM, you know, I don’t really love fake love lol.... I forced myself to like her at the time but it was Stockholm syndrome.... I will watch a billion performances of this song because the choreo and the outfits are so sexy that I dont care about the song itself. but the chorus is just not my favorite (the notes are too high for jinmin RIP). also outro: tear; Yoongi’s voice is sexy in it but I tend to skip the song because I don’t really want to listen to the 40 second instrumental intro, it’s corny to me um... the song as a whole is a lil too angsty for me and not quite a replacement for a cypher, which is the only thing missing from this trilogy really. also I don’t like so what, but it grew on me because the boys enjoy it so much at their concerts lol

- underrated songs: I truly can’t say that any song on this album is underrated because we suck its dick sooooo much lmaoooo

- Least favorite songs: epiphany (no comment), I'm fine (just very vanilla EDM music that’s not a satisfying followup to save me, aside from the choreo which is cute), uhh... my opinion on idol is still shaky. sometimes she slaps a bit and then sometimes I hate her

- underrated songs: answer: love myself... I didn't like it much the first time I heard it but I've grown very attached. it’s very sweet, I love the instrumental, the guitars, it has this nice hopeful sound.. and hearing jungkook sing “im learning how to love myself” in his sweet voice, he sounds really sincere... it’s so sweet, it’s a nice song, go listen to it...

Another Year, Another Recap - “Have a Coke and a smile... :)”

So, we're getting to the end, people. We're about to finish off another year. Personally, this year has been immensely better than the last.

I didn't even want to stay up and do any celebrating at the end of 2018. I just wanted to go to bed and be done with that bleepin year. This year has been a hell of a lot better. I hope that all of you can say something similar, but if not, there's always going to bed early, and putting your hope in the next year.

This past Christmas (and all Christmas', really) I spent time doing a lot of hating on Christmas music; it's a valued tradition of mine. I am, however, always surprised to find a few songs each year that don't bother me all that much. This year, one of them was John Legend's "Baby, It's cold outside" ft Kelly Clarkson  

- a rewritten, sans rapey vibe rendition to boot its 1940's something predecessor.

In this version (at least how I interpret it), both people wanted some action that night. John says all of the right stuff ("I'll call you a car", "maybe you SHOULD go"), creating a safe environment, and most importantly, not coming off as sleazy and rapey. He's also protecting himself with this recording:) But, let's be clear... he wants some, and he wants it bad! While Kelly, also wants some, but doesn't want to come off as being a hoe. Nobody wants to be labeled a hoe.  So, she says all of the right things as well ("My dad and brother are waiting for me", "I've gotta visit my sick grandma", "Gotta get home to the KIDS") But, at the end of the night, they both make a decision to sing to one another "Baby, It's cold outside, so let's stay in and BLEEP." That's how you do it! No guilt! No #METOO! No wife and kids around. All is well:) Divorces are still rising, and more older people (as well as old as bleep people) are on dating apps than ever before. Consider this song a Christmas gift from John & Kelly to you.

Maroon 5's Super Bowl performance. It wasn't even really M5's fault; they simply did what they always do. It was more a poor choice by the NFL. A boring and awkward performance. There was a time when all anybody wanted was a shirtless Adam Levine- both women AND men. Even times when he wasn't performing, he would show up places, some random person would announce to everyone "Don't worry, Adam WILL be taking off his shirt tonight." Talk about ME TOO. It was so bad that the old, white, slaveowners of the NFL hired Jay-Z (one of the blackest icons we have) to come and save them. We'll see how that turns out.

GOOD & WEIRD:

Tyler, The Creator - "IGOR"

One of my fav projects of the year. Tyler, the Creator is an odd dude - I mean this as a compliment. I love how Hip-Hop has evolved. There's a lot more room nowadays to be yourself, no matter how outsiders might deem your behavior as weird (sometimes, others NOT saying this as a compliment). I love his creativity, and hope he continues to inspire other artists (especially in hip-hop) to be creative. Heeeee also says stuff like this "I like girls, but I have sex with their brothers." But, also uses the word "gay" as an insult. Who knows?? There's a lot to unpack there.

SAD:

In other news, Camila Cabello might be a racist. Y'all can look it up if you'd like, but some posts of hers resurfaced. I'm a fan of hers, and checked out the posts for myself, thinking "People are prob just overreacting" - they're not, it's bad. She has apologized, saying the whole "I'm older and wiser now" thing. The prob with that is she's only 22.

GOOD & BAD, I GUESS:

It's always good to see Adele out and about. These holiday pics show that's she's still alive (I get concerned, cuz she tends to disappear for a while) and apparently a lot thinner. This of course stirs men to say men type things, women to go on the attack, and all genuine compliments towards her to get lost. The good news is, Adele seems to be getting pretty chummy with Santa, and everyone knows that St. Nick is a heartbreaker. Adele should be spurned and back in the studio writing amazing tunes soon enough.

We were all enthralled by these two docuseries. It's interesting how different races respond to MJ. Both see him as... you know, but most black people are still listening to his music. White people on the other hand are ready to riot every time someone plays one of his songs... except around Halloween - gotta have "Thriller".

Best Actress... hmm.. idk about this one. Many say J.Lo deserves an Oscar for her performance in "Hustlers" - a movie made for strippers, by strippers.

Exotic dancers are making a comeback! Maybe one day, stripping will be going in the same direction marijuana is - just something people do. No more shame! You can actually make a decent living at it - ain't that right, Stormy?

And who can forget this J.Lo quote "This city, this whole country, is a strip club. You've got people tossing the money. and people doing the dance."

1) Hatin on Greta

Greta - trying hard to do what she believes will make this world a better place for us all.

MP - leading a soccer team to a World Cup victory, being outspoken for women's rights and gay rights, having awesome purple hair, and trying to be the best leader and athlete she can be.

3) Popeyes Chicken Sandwich

 - the gov't test for a new crack epidemic. Sadly, I never got to partake.

4) Allison Mack

- This whole story began being unveiled in 2018, but continued through this year. I still don’t understand how this story has not gotten more attention. Some of y’all don’t even know what I’m talking about.... google it, and be horrified.

5) BTS (and K-pop in general)

-I love them, but... our country's K-Pop fetish has gotten kinda out of hand. All kinds of artists are trying to share the spotlight with them. Next, we're going to see them team up with Kendrick Lamar.

6) TikTok - I just don't get it. What’s the difference? 

7) Cancel Culture

To me all cancel culture is silenced by Trump being our president. Where was all of this righteous indignation when we voted him into office? You might say "I didn't vote for him." Yeah, but, WE did - Idk what that says about us, but it's prob not good.

It doesn't even really work - Louis CK is currently selling out venues for an unapologetic tour. I'm not even saying that it SHOULD work (in SOME cases). I'm simply saying that it doesn't work (in most cases). But, perhaps the fear of it working is enough. Or perhaps we should think through how we spend our anger.

His career and popularity paths are unique. No one would call him a... GOOD actor, but look at him! And he seems like a genuinely, awesomely, good person. And whatever "good person" means to you, he's at the top! We should all (men and women) be a lil more like Keanu in 2020.

ur so right abt the disconnect between f/f and m/m+m/f ships!!!! tbh i feel like its really down to hets bc i KNOW if we had the amount of straighties who put work and care into kl content (some good some bad) give half that effort for wlw ships, then other ppl would be incentivized to make content aswell? i think a problem w c/a even with fellow wlw is that we love it as a concept, but fandom is so essential in providing hype and nurturing the characters (1/2)

yeah! fandoms tend to grow best when canon content fails to completely satisfy fans it’s completely understandable. she-ra only has 1 season out and it was good. fans don’t always feel the need to come in and flesh out canon if canon feels comfortable. the best part is that she-ra has the makings for great fanon content. i feel like we’ve made a big fandom but i recognize everyone so in a way it feels small.

when anybody comes from voltron fandom, you feel spoiled. constant content, major fics, big artists…leaving that behind and coming to something new+different is rough. wlw ships tend to be very niche and they get most of their love+attention when canon content is supplying it. once that hype dies, people leave for a more steady stream of content. there’s only one season of she-ra right now so i get that people haven’t latched on, but fandoms tend to display internalized emotions toward female characters+f/f ships (see: allura’s fandom treatment) which imo is where the disconnect comes from. it isn’t that people hate f/f ships, but so much has conditioned a response to find comfort in male characters since media gives them much better treatment and more personality. that isn’t a call out to fans! i’ve been in fandom for a long time and had to teach myself to knock that off too. i love the fandom we have now and i love everyone i interact with. i’m satisfied but deep down there’s that huffy part of me that knows if c/a gets endgame, they’ll flock to that spotlight like they’d been here the entire time.

Oh, be still my beating heart <3 That’s adorable. A lot of this is personal head canon about what the guys kids would be like, so there we go, but roll with it)

Leo -

Leo would want to get his little one into the habit of waking up as early as he does, given he’s always been a sucker for training. Luckily he’s experienced with getting other people up for this exact thing- Namely Mikey most days and Donnie anytime after he’s been up way to late finishing some experiment. Or maybe watching anime (And Donnie totally watches anime, no one will ever convince me otherwise)

So it comes as second nature to him, venturing into his son’s room to try and stir him from his sleep. He’d be kind enough to leave the lights out as he made his way over to sit on the edge of his bed.

“ Hey, squirt, time to wake up. You’ve got training in half an hour, ” He encouraged him softly, only to be met with tired groans of protest, causing him to chuckle.

“ Ugh, five more minutes dad, ” Kameko grumbled as he buried himself even further into his blankets, causing Leo to sigh.

“ Alright, five more minutes, ” He relented. He didn’t mean to be so easily defeated but he’d do anything for his own son.

Raph -

Raphael however is not quite as… Gentle as a father figure as Leonardo is. He loves his kid just as much, of course, but in typical Raphael style his way of parenting was a lot… Louder.

“ Up and at ‘em, half-pint! ” Raph boomed, door flung open, lights switched on like it was a spotlight. A cushion was thrown his way but bounced harmlessly off of his shoulder. Before his daughter could react further, she’d already had the covers thrown off of her and been hoisted up onto her father’s shoulders.

“ Daaaad, ” Kelly yawned, as she rubbed sleepily at her eyes, already being piggy backed through to the kitchen to get some breakfast before training. “ It’s too early. ”

“ Yeah, you wish it was, ” Raph retorted, dropping her carefully to the tiles of the kitchen floor, like one might handle a China doll. While he might act like a big, tough scary- He was in fact a massive softie. Especially when it came to matters of his family. Especially his daughter, who he adored more than life itself.

“ … Kameko, did you eat all the Cheerios again? ” Kelly complained, looking to her older cousin who was currently halfway through munching said cereal.

“ … No. ”

And suddenly there was milk and half eaten Cheerios everywhere. A spoon went flying. Kelly had vaulted the table and tackled poor Kameko when he was halfway through a mouthful of breakfast.

Raph looked to his side, to see Leo, who could only sigh before the two of them went to go break up their fighting children.

Some things never change.

Donnie -

Don is a pretty fussy sort of helicopter parent… But he isn’t, because he’s read the terrible statistics of what might happen to a child who is coddled too much. He’s read every book on parenting, and is likely trying to discreetly check on his child at ever turn. But only because he loves them!

As such, and because of his terrible sleep pattern as well, Don would probably opt for an extra loud alarm clock to wake -both- of them up. It probably wouldn’t work.

“ Dad, uh, hey dad? ” Tesla asked, shaking his father’s arm slightly. Donnie would peer one eye open to look at his son, scooping him up into his arms to settle him in bed between himself and his mother.

“ What’s the matter, whizz-kid? ” He asked him, speaking quietly as to not wake his sleeping wife.

“ Um it’s just… I think we slept through our alarm again, ” He explains sheepishly.

“ Really? But I just made it louder. What makes you think that, little genius? ” Donnie asked, stretching out slightly.

“ DONATELLO! TESLA! ”

“ … Grandfather does, ” The kid explained, retreating under the pillows, while Donnie checked the alarm to see- Yep, they’d somehow slept in again.

“ I’ll… I’ll upgrade the speakers again later. Uh, for now let’s… Let’s just hide. ”

(This one is a little sad given how many versions Splinter dies in… Oops, didn’t mean to stir up any feels)

Mikey -

Mikey, even far into his adulthood, is still a child at heart. He understands his kids struggles, he remembered hating waiting for training… Scratch that he still hates waking up for training now… And waking up, in general. So when he does have to wake his precious little one up, he’s more than soft about it.

“ Psst, huggy-buggy, widdle-waddle, my tinker-doodle, ” Mikey whisper-shouted, kneeling beside the bed and resting his elbows on the edge of the mattress.

“ Ugh, dad, that’s so embarrassing, ” Tiara complained sighing, stretching out slightly. “ Do I need to go? ” She asked him, not with her usual air of sleepy defiance as expected from any child who did not want to do something. Rather, genuine sadness.

“ Why? Are you sick? ” He asked, beginning to make a fuss as he ever did when his precious baby was ill.

“ Do I need to go to training if I’m sick? ” She asked him in response, holding her blankets to her chest with a frown.

“ No. ”

“ Then I’m sick, ” She insisted, a few tears dripping from her eyes. Mikey instantly went to scoop her up, pulling her down from the bed to side on his lap, tugging the duvet with her.

“ Hey, little princess, what’s the matter? ” He asked her, rocking her gently.

“ I… Everyone else is better than me, ” This comment left Mikey gobsmacked.

“ What? ”

“ W-Well, my cousins are all… Better. Kameko is really good at getting everyone to work together, Kelly is sooo much better than me and fighting and Tesla is like, super smart, ” Tiara explained. “ … And then there’s me, ” Mikey’s heart sank. Not just because his daughter was feeling so low but because… He’d felt like that growing up too. He’d always felt his brothers were better than him.

“ Well, maybe, pfft~ So? Can they cheer everyone up? Are they sneaky enough to steal the last cookie from the jar without Grandpa noticing? Do they have the high score on pinball? ” He asked her, before proceeding to launch a tickle assault on her, causing her to burst into a fit of giggles.

“ N-No! ” She squealed.

“ Then who does!? ” He asked, pinning her as his fingers found their way to her armpits, causing her to roar even louder in hysterical laughter.

“ Me! I d-do! ” Tiara squealed.

“ That’s it! So you get in there and you show em your stuff, Waddles! ” He encouraged.

“ Daaaaad! ”

(And there you have it. Just as a little explanation as to why I picked the names / nicknames I did.

Leo - So I picked Kameko because it’s Japanese and Leo is a sucker for all that. Plus, it means 'son of the tortoise’ and y'know, haha. Close enough to turtle right? Squirt was something in the same sort of punny, eh, squirt ad in squirtle… The Pokemon?… Just me?

Raph - Kelly means warrior, think that’s pretty self explanatory. I feel he’d also want a short name with a lot of meaning for his kid. And 'half-pint’ I just feel Raph would be one to obsess over, omg look how small his kid is. Short-stack / shorty are also totally viable options.

Donnie - Tesla, as in, the scientist Nikola Tesla. I thought it was cute as well. Whizz-kid and little genius are just part of that. Einstein maybe from time to time. Plus, those are also somewhat compliments? And I feel Don would be one to smother his kid in praise.

Mikey - Mikey would definitely want a 'celeb’ name for his baby. It’d have to be unique and a bit odd, but not so strange the kid would hate it. Something that was cute and nice. So Tiara, since y'know, connotations of royalty and princesses. Plus, I actually have met someone with this name! ^.^ As a middle name know, but still. I figure as with nicknames, Mikey would go overboard. He’d have a million and one embarrassing nicknames on the go at all times, with no reason or rhyme to them. )

hi!!! I just found you blog and I love your content so much!!! Can you give us a little bit of a back story on a few of your simmies???

Omg yessssss! This is like the best question ever, I love individuals who pay interest into my sims and their backgrounds as such. To let you know, I will talk from Knights Legacy perpsective, as my simmies have different background depending on the role they own. I have couple of stories with them. I’ll begin with my main ones -

Melody Knight:

She was born in Germany due to her father being full-on German and her mother a British woman. At the age of 10 they moved to live in England and she continued to pursue her life there. Of course she lived a very rich but strictly limited life. Her parents were the ones to make crucial decisions for her, rather than interfere their daughter in her own-say. As she grew older, her hatred and rebellious side decided to show and she tried to do everything against her parents’ liking. I mean she was suppose to have an arranged marriage set by her parents, but this gal decided to make an exit. I don’t want to spoil much but I will interfere more of her back story in the legacy itself. Right this moment she is 22 years old. Living her stolen life to its fullest, well for now. 

Sebastian Dawson:

Sebastian comes from Italian family whom have given all the love and support a parent could possibly give to its child. He has an older brother, who he gets along with, even if the distance sets them apart. At the age of 19 he decided to move to England to bring a better income to its family and even start his own business. Right after he left, his father passed away due to a long-term illness known as Chronic Obstructive Pulminary Disease and he blamed himself for not being able to attend his funeral, which has caused quite a distant relationship between him and his family. At the age of 21 he got married, but divorced at 33 as they felt like their feelings drifted apart, and decided to continue with their life without one another. At the age of 37 he continues to work as auto mechanic in his own little shop and has further plans to escalate his business further. 

Julius Elton Steel: 

* He looks much different than in this photo as this picture was taken back in 2015. 

As Melody, he grew to be in a rich environment. Melody’s Parents knew Julius parents and their status, therefore they have decided to bring their children together for marital purposes to ensure secure business investments in the future. He comes from a British background. Apart from his runaway bride, he grew to enjoy his life in a spoiled manner. He does as he pleases and cares less about others as long as he is in a spotlight. Later on in life, he has made a choice of taking over of his father’s business and plans to continue to enjoy his life with a wife with the nice face by his side. As a 24 years old lad, he has a huge ego and rotten attitude. 

Katherine Glen:

Probs one of my fave characters out there. 

Life of Katherine was full of surprises and unexpectedness . At the age of 12 she decided to runaway from home, due to abusive environment she lived with her father while her mother was constantly working to support her family. She had to steal from local bakery to maintain her hunger until once she got caught and was forced to work to repay for her deeds. That is how she fell the passion for cooking, and continued to come to the bakery for a hope to get a job there. Due to her age, it was quite difficult to take her for a serious candidate, therefore she stole as many times as possible, and tried to get caught again and again to work in the kitchen, whether it involved making cupcakes or washing piles of dishes. At the end of this, the owner granted her a job, as a cleaner to begin with and later as a chef itself. She knew he could just call a police regards to her rebellious behavior in the bakery, but he saw how passionate she was, and how desperately she wanted to get in. At the age of 23, the owner passed away, and due to having no family to pass the shop to he decided to leave his beloved bakery to her that now stands for a diner and a gas station. At age of 30 she got married and now has been living with her husband and two children, two boys, one at the age of 17 and the other at the age of 26 in a farm house, few miles away from her work. She has recently celebrated her 57 birthday.
