I love Stardew Valley and I love the community and I love how we all bond over pixelated chickens like we’re seventy-year-old women bonding over grandchildren- - -
But I get so annoyed with the character hate, like!!! All the characters are great!! All the romance-able characters are great!! I keep getting recommended videos about the bad parts of characters and I just want to scream!!
Penny: lovely. Charming. Kids are a big part of dating her because she teaches kids, of course she’s going to react a bit badly if you hate children. She is trying to teach kids so that they don’t have to have the same life she and her mother do, why do you hate this woman who is just anxious?
Shane: lovely. Charming. Perfect. “He still drinks after we get married, which ruins the whole story” NO. No. Shane is an alcoholic, and a severe one. If he quit cold-turkey, he would fucking die. “Harvey pumped his stomach” HE WOULD DIE. And I don’t care that my husband is messy, he has his own room and I don’t have to go over there!!
Maru: lovely. Charming. She hates working. She loves working on machines. She thinks about machines to build for you to make life easier. She’s adorable. She has a complicated relationship with her brother and I want to help them fix it goddangit because I love fictional siblings.
Elliott: lovely. Charming. An artist. He only leaves his home for like four hours a day. I can really relate to the desire to shave off all of one’s own hair. I feel that in my bones. Also, is friends with Willy and I fucking love Willy so A++
Leah: “she’s a lesbian” She’s fucking bi stop erasing bi rep in Bi Rep the Video Game
Sam: he’s a musician and a skater. This is what the perfect man looks like.
Emily: just the most charming. She has a complicated relationship with her sister because she takes care of her. She works at a saloon, how can someone not love a literal saloon worker? She’s crazy, she’s wild, she’s a flower child, I’m in love with her
Harvey: glasses. Doctor man. Occasionally puts on headphones to not so subtly hint that he doesn’t want to talk to you. This is what the perfect man looks lik-
Abigail: I don’t see a lot of people complain about Abigal, but I’ve seen a few and it just feels like- you guys love Sebastian so much but don’t like Abigail? What type of double standard is this?
Alex: everyone always says not to date him if your playing a female farmer, but honestly, his dialogue only cuts out parts if you play male. Like, he still says he felt different about you from day one even if you’re playing as a girl. The character affected the most by your gender choice in regards to dating Alex is George, and if you’ve already befriended George, he’ll apologize for being mean about your sexuality when he never even said anything mean about your sexuality, which is kind of funny
I never see people complain about Haley or Sebastian, which is fair, because Haley has a cute character arc and Sebastian loves frogs (this is what the perfect man lo-) My only problem is that people praise these two but rag on everyone else when I feel like all the characters are balanced pretty evenly in terms of good-bad traits.
Which trait is which is dependent on the person playing the game anyway, so when someone like me plays, I can’t help but find the characters perfect because I’m very forgiving when it comes to fictional characters’ undesirable traits. I mean, my favourite trait of all is stupidity, pure and unbridled, I’m talking facepalm-inducing, groan-worthy, the type of character people complain about the most; the type of stupid that makes people stop enjoying things. How can I dislike these characters who are cute and a bit awkward and so ready to bed the first hot farmer they come across even when that farmer sifts through their trash and passes out three steps away from their own house and drinks mayonnaise and would eat hay given half the chance. Like come on. They’re all moron-sexual. I can relate to that.
In conclusion: your favourite bachelor and/or bachelorette is as wonderful as you think they are and screw the people who try to tell you otherwise. The characters are great because they appeal to different people. Enjoy the game and enjoy the dating and I swear to God if I see another person say that certain farm layouts are bad because they don’t make enough money- the game doesn’t have a time limit! You can make as much money as you want! You could sell one sap everyday and nothing else and you would still be able to make it to however much money you desire to have. There’s not really a fast way to make ten billion gold, that doesn’t mean that the farm layouts you don’t like are bad and yes I’m ranting just because I love the slopes of the mining farm its layout is chamrjng and picturesque and provides a unique challenge to decorating and placing buildings and it’s actually the BEST farm layout because I just decided so and-!
Stardew Valley is a great game, 10/10 would recommend, and the new update is already great because I found carrot seeds and I like carrots :)

FRENCHIE | Queer!Mode, Detected
The Boys, Season 1, Ep 2 - Cherry | Season 2, Ep 3 - Over The Hill With the Swords of A 1000 Men, 6 - The Bloody Door’s Off, 8 - What I Know | Season 3, Ep 3 - Barbary Coast
I’ve seen a lotta chatter in The Boys fandom (mostly on Reddit but also TikTok. Appropriately this take wasn’t on Tumblr much) that ppl were mad at Kripke and Co for taking an unforeseen “gay turn” with Frenchie’s character in S4 ..? And I’m over here with my Sherlock Holmes cap and pipe and tiny detective notebook just
Tumblr media Tumblr media
trying to understand how these ppl didn’t pick up on the bipan vibes from this beautiful, majestic, so-French-he-can't-help-it butterfly.
(Also all this hand wringing about Frenchie "turning gay," te lo juro me esta eloqueciendo alaverga. Like canwenot with the bi-erasure, it’s giving Ashley telling Maeve she’s a lesbian bc is more “clear-cut” and easier to sell than bi. It’s just as insulting to call a bipan person gay as it is to call them straight. And I don’t mean like the use of gay as a catch all that a lotta us queers use sometimes interchangeably for queer, I talkin ppl acting as tho bipan isn't real and/or thinking Frenchie jumped out the closet as a gay man 3/4 of the way thru the show.)
And their confusion over this has got me confused. Like I didn’t even realize it was such a plot twist until I got on Reddit and a lotta ppl were screaming like Ned Stark's head just got cut off, or like it's some wild-ass writer's room shenanigans where the character is suddenly a diff person for no discernible reason. Like have you seen this man? Do you know where you are? Bc they’ve been dropping hints throughout the show. Case in point:
a) Little Nina and all that talk about her Sergei ahem it's Serge and his overwhelming enthusiasm for butt stuff and Vincent Cassel try to convince me Sr. Cassel wasn’t a childhood crush of Frenchie’s or someth and that’s why it’s his safe word. You can’t
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
b) this time he planted a fat smooch on Hughie’s face after finding out he leaked the compound V tip to the press (bonus points for his attempt to make out with mm before getting a no-homo hard pass)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
c) this deep, abiding love of The Golden Girls this is unequivocally the gayest thing on the list
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
d) how he turned tricks in mad NYC before Little Nina locked that mf in a chastity belt and held him hostage by his penis he went to ‘work’ for Nina. -> Disclaimer: this is not to imply that queer ppl’s participation in sex work is bc they’re hypersexual. This is here to point out queer coding, as lgbtqia+ ppl are more at-risk for mental health issues stemming from severe trauma, food and housing insecurity, and addiction, often without access to the care they need to recover. So sex work becomes a viable vocation to survive bc unlike a regular 9-5, it’s more conducive to untreated mental health issues and substance use also it’s an easier market to get into than arms dealing or contract killing
Tumblr media
e) this throuple arrangement btwn him, Cherie and Justin
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
f) His attempts to…er broaden mm’s horizons ?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
g) the evident lack of knowledge or interest or acumen for this mysterious sportsball of which mm speaks of but he’ll still go on that dumb golf bachelor trip bc he loves his fraaand
Tumblr media Tumblr media
h) this fondness for Eurotrash raves and dancing
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And look, I might get it if they sprung it on us. But this shit has been since the beginning. The earliest indicator being ep 2 of S1 — THE FIRST EP HE’S IN. Hughie asks what it’s like to kill someone and Frenchie waxes poetic about his first hit (just before ominously dropping, "I carry them all with me" buried the lead on that one to Hughie's horror but to the delight of bbygirllovers like myself everywhere) and well, I think the evidence here speaks for itself
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like the dichot— nay, Bichotomy of talking about how mindblowingly hot this chick is whilst, in the same breath, gushing over her outfit. Okay I’m sure there’s a token straightmale who can id high-end designer brands on sight. I’m sure that unicorn exists somewhere, right, cuz humans contain multitudes. But this man? He just a bipan butterfly. So those who felt blindsided by Frenchie gettin’ dicked down, oh you beautiful, naive, sophisticated newborn babies. If not spelled out, it was so heavily implied, I saw the fling with whatshisname with the murdered fam whose name I’m too lazy to Goog and was like, “hm yes, the math is indeed mathing, these calculayshuns are correct”
Like u thot a mf dressed like this??? was straight ?
Tumblr media
Mans is in a scoopneck bunny crop top that looks straighr from the juniors section of Forever21 with plaid pants and fuckingsjs suspenders iconic so to think he'd nary tarried in sausage-central before, well ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

can you be a teenager and be polyamorous?
this sounds like a silly question, but can i explain real quick-
so i’m, ofc, a teenager, and i’ve never actually been in any kind of romantic relationship before, or even kissed anyone - not that i don’t want to, my parents are just homophobic - and idk, i think i’m polyam, but… like, am i allowed to be, if i’m a teenager? i’m ace and i already know i don’t want any kind of sexual relationship w/ anyone, and i know that polyamory is often only seen as a sexual thing by a lot of the general public, so maybe that’s why i’ve seen so much stuff online saying that kids can’t be polyam as it’s inherently sexual (i don’t think it always is), or the classic ‘they’re too young to know’ but i just feel like they’re right sometimes, like, i haven’t had the experience and years and stuff that adults have had, and that makes me feel like an idiot for even wanting anything to do w/ this part of the community.
except… it’s like. when i think of being older and married or in a relationship, i always think of it being someone who’s not a man (i’m a nonbinary lesbian), but like, i also think of it as more than one person? like. i’d be happy w/ two wives i think. or a partner who has a partner, that i’m not dating, esp since i’m ace and not of course everyone else is and everyone has different needs wants in a relationship. and while these are obviously just thoughts, i’ve also put. like. a lot of thought into it, and the traditional relationship structure (monogamous man/woman) doesn’t really seem like something that work for me. like also bc i’m aro and i could have a qpr but i wouldn’t mind if it was w/ more than one person or if my partner had like a date or other qpr partner or like… you get the gist. not even ‘wouldn’t mind’ i think it’d be neat, like the traditional relationship structure just never felt like it was right for me.
idk, i’m sorry, this ask is so incoherent. i just. wanted to know if i could be teenage and polyam, or if there’s something wrong w/ me and my thinking for wanting to be so, like i honestly don’t know if there is, and it’s not great sometimes, wanting to use a label for yourself in your head and not knowing if you… can
TL;DR (and it will be long): you can be whatever you feel, at any stage of life, forever. So, yeah, it could be other things, but if that's how your feeling, it doesn't really matter if you change your mind later. You can be it now.
So here's the thing: you do have a lot going on. All teenagers do, and as much as adults condescend to teenagers about it, the only way to figure it out for you personally is for you --personally-- to stumble through it. And you're clearly a bit overwhelmed. That's chill and normal. As stressful as it is, try not to stress it; these are all things that will be okay once the dust has settled.
When I was a teen, I didn't want to touch anyone. I thought I was ace. I barely even wanted a romantic relationship. Now I want several high-sex romantic relationships. I changed in that. I haven't changed in other ways, such as not wanting kids. Everyone told me I'd want them eventually, and here I am as an established adult, happily childless.
If you think you're poly now, you're allowed to call yourself poly! If you wanna say you're "questioning poly" or "interested in exploring" poly that's fine, too, in the same way bi people sometimes go "I'm mean I'm pretty sure I'm bi because my gender people SO HOT but some days I'm not feeling it and I've never actually had gay sex soooo for now I'm just going to call myself bicurious". And a lot of people will probably tell you you're too young to know, but that's not going to change how you feel. Maybe you'll grow in a different direction. Maybe you'll have a 10 year headstart on happiness that everyone on poly forums wishes they had. Both of those things sound fine to me. Those are both 👌👍✅ outcomes.
You can also want all those things and not consider yourself poly. Maybe you're just meant to join a commune 🤷
The point of labels is for you to be able to describe your experience, not to define you. If you think "poly" is an adequate word to describe the experience of "ace but wanting to build my life with multiple close women" then go for it! You could also describe yourself as other things to other people. Like, if you're in a very queer environment like Tumblr, you might feel comfortable saying "I wanna be in a poly lesbian QPR!" but to conservative adults you might just stick to "I'm not looking to get married too quick, its just going to be me and my best girl friends for awhile!" and to someone who's trying to understand but really isn't getting it you might choose to describe it as "I'm trying to found-family-trope my life. Like, we're not sexual, but we're everything for each other, you know?"
So I guess to wrap this up back to you initial question: "poly" isn't inherently sexual, and you can use it to describe anything you think it applies to, yourself especially. However, it may carry that connotation with others, so it might be a lot of trouble (up to you whether its worth that trouble) to identify yourself as that to those people. In your own head? do whatever the fuck you want lmao I'm not the thought police🚫🚓
Use them terms -- "poly" included -- when they suit you. Be that the current mood, the current conversation, the current stage in life, whatever.

What do you think gay men are attracted to in men that they can’t be attracted to in women?
It can’t be anything about femininity or masculinity obviously. That’s both sexist, and cultural so can’t be what drives men-only attraction.
It can’t be anything about stated identity because someone could lie just as easily as they could tell the truth in such a statement, and it makes no sense because homosexuality and heterosexuality exists in other species with no stated identities. It’s not like other animals without gender are all pan.
Saying idk it’s the vibes or some indescribable trait men have that women can’t but “I can’t explain” is a nonanswer.
Soooooooo what is it? Or do you think any sexuality but bi/pan is just cultural performance or an identity rather than an inborn orientation?
- [ ]
I am an advocate to the movement to mind my own business tbh.
Sex is a subject i do not think about in that way cause well i am asexual (frankly you came to the wrong person to talk about attractions) and well. We do know that the fags CAN fuck the Dykes. Cause humans use words very freely and sometimes someone is hot regardless of your preferences.
Sometimes even if the person is super hot well you are not attracted to that and to me that's not sexism or whatever. That's just preferences. Now having preferences do not stop you from being an asshole at all or well make you one.
I met plenty of gay men who were assholes and plenty of lesbians who were assholes too. Your sexuality do not dictate or defend your political/ethnical stance no matter what Twitter says.
And no i do think it's a weird thing about feminity and masculinity. I do not think it's sexist to say that at all Anon since Feminity and Masculinity are extremely subjective traits that we randomly paired to a genitalia.
Like from personal experience. I have a gay friend and a nonbinary one. My gay friend is very feminine. Very elegant and yes as cliche as it sounds he loves Beauty Contest. He loves make up. He is the best dressed person in the room when he wants to. My nonbinary friend has body hair, very masculine and simply paint his nails and wear the coolest pearl beads on their wrist that i ever seen(They use They/his) and like. I like that fucker too.
And me i am like super asexual but i do have a voice that can be described as "French boy who just got newly hired for marketing" i was born a woman contrary to my peers above but when it comes to manly task sometimes they call me for advice at the gym and such.
It's not cultural appropriation or sexism. Humans are different that's normal everyone has their truth.
Like. To me sex is like being in front of a the widest variety of buffet. Since i am also interested in the personality of the subject i look at man, woman AND other identities. I do not really care since to me a good convos is better then most sex you can get out here. So at the buffet i am not hungry at all.
And well lie or truth are just human tbh. One day that could be the truth. The next day it could be a lie. It changes all the time.
What i know is i will always trust the person telling me because putting people in boxes when it comes to sexuality or gender is not proper nor cool. I will make mistakes but i will try to make them less.
Like if you tell me you are bisexual leaning toward men and you identify as a man. Even if someone says "well u r just gay." I will go "Well maybe not. You know even if it's 90% men and 10% women they still going in both directions. Maybe ome day that percentage will change."
I am super chill about that tbh. I will maybe ask questions if you says something like "Bisexual-Lesbian-Faery-TerfBaby-She/her" like i will go "Do you know what Terf means ? Or do you just hate men like some lesbians and decided to fuck up your stats ?"
Humans are weird. We been weird since the birth of our existence and we will be weird even when none of us are here to see it.
Isn't it beautiful ?

Jill having pictures in her room doesnt mean shes bi. Learn about women instead of sexulizing them for your fantasies. Pervert
...OK, no, it doesn't *mean* she's bi, that's a headcanon. A headcanon shared by several bi women I'm friends with, but a headcanon.
My question for you is: why is headcanoning a woman as bi inherently some kind of perverted sexualisation? Would you say the same if I'd said I saw a woman as a lesbian (Alcina, for instance), or as straight (Excella Gionne, for instance)? Is it also perverted sexualisation to headcanon a man as bi (I headcanon MOST characters as bi by default because there's a fair amount of evidence that most people aren't 100% straight or 100% gay IRL, but the most obvious example in my fic and on this blog is that I ship Albert Wesker/William Birkin)?
I've seen Claire fans (many of whom are women) talk about certain scenes in the RE2 remake saying things like "she's totally checking Leon out in this scene". Have you sent them similar messages because they, too, are suggesting that something a female character does might be an indication that she's attracted to someone? Or do you only have a problem with someone suggesting a female character is attracted to women?
Talking about a character's orientation and who they might be attracted to is not uncommon here on Tumblr. I mean, we are pretty much all some kind of LGBTQA+ here and naturally tend to look for representation. As there isn't that much definitively canon rep in RE but most of the characters are fairly open to interpretation in that regard, headcanoning them tends to be pretty popular (I must say, you're the first person on here I've ever seen object to this headcanon) and isn't usually seen as all that sexual (I really don't have very strong sexual feelings about Jill? This isn't an insult to her, she's definitely objectively good-looking, and a great character who I like, but she's not the one I sexually fantasise about, that would be Wesker).
As for learning about women, well, I can't claim to know everything about the experience of being a woman, but I know enough women to know that many/most women--those who aren't ace--are attracted to people sometimes. "He's hot", "she's hot", "they're both hot", aren't uncommon phrases to hear. I know at least one woman who has posters of shirtless Wesker and various other characters up in her house. I don't think it would be realistic to pretend, in fic or otherwise, that women are delicate flowers who faint at the thought of sex, instead of human beings who usually experience sexual attraction just like other human beings.

Can you do Fatgum, kirishima, or Tamaki?
This is like Half the Fatfam so I'll do you one better and do the whole Fatfam because I love them and leaving any of them out feels weird kfdjgkfdg
Ask from Here
Tumblr media
Taishiro Toyomitsu
Sexuality Headcanon: Pansexual
Gender Headcanon: I see Taishiro as a Cis man, but I've seen very cool Trans Taishiro takes as well, so I'm between the two usually. He/Him
A ship I have with said character: Me?? Me self ship with Taishiro my beloved?? Oh but also Kendo Rappa I love that guy. He's Taishi's creepy gross stalker and I think they're funny together
A BROTP I have with said character: His interactions with Monika in Vigilantes will never not be hilarious to me. She's so not funny and he's so mean and they're hysterical together and I love them
A random headcanon: Taishiro's entire wardrobe is hoodies. He sleeps in a hoodie, his casual wear his hoodies, he's got a nice date hoodie. It's his comfort outfit and he refuses to change.
General Opinion over said character: I love this man. He is my husband, I mwah mwah mwah him face. Top tier fat rep, Horikoshi's best character by a mile.
everyone else under the cut so the post doesn't get too long
Tumblr media
Tamaki Amajiki
Sexuality: Gay
Gender: Like Taishiro I see him as Cis usually but I've seen sooo many good Transgender headcanons as well that I'm kind of in the middle about it. He/She
OTP: MiriTama is SO cute!!! Top tier!!! My Hero really has the best Blond/Dark Hair ships out there.
BROTP: I really like his relationship with Neijire, being in the same class I feel like she just kinda bugged him until they were friends. Lesbian/Gay Hostility. They bicker like siblings.
Random Headcanon: It's Tamaki's fault we keep getting interns at the Fatgum agency. He hears someone struggling and thinks "Fat could help them" and brings them home like a kid bringing home a kitten. He's a bleeding heart, just like his father.
Overall Opinion: I LOVE Tamaki like a LOT. My favorite part about him, and all the 3rd year students we meet, is he's already gone through his entire character arc. He, Mirio, and Neijire worked to overcome challenges, faced problems, had training arcs and everything long before we met them. They're main characters post their own plot and I LOVE that kind of story telling.
Tumblr media
Eijiro Kirishima
Sexuality: ALSO Gay
Gender: Transgender, He/Him
OTP: KiriBaku my BELOVED, my boyfriend Zayne was really into this one when he was into My Hero so I kinda got pulled into it first. I do really like them. Hot Headed VS Bull Headed.
BROTP: Mina for sure!! Gay/Bi Solidarity. She was his gay awakening in that he thought he liked her Romantically until he realized he didn't like girls at all. They have self care sleepovers where they do facials and paint eachother nails and gossip for sure
Random Headcanon: Kirishima has a real soft spot for Shojo Manga, and prefers it over action packed Shounen. The only people who know this are the rest of the Fatfam, Mina, and Bakugo.
Overall Opinion: I'm gonna keep saying I love these characters and it's true I loooove Eijiro sooo much. He's so head strong but with a huge heart he cares and worries SO much and he's also always down to clown commit to the bit ride or die kinda guy. I love him.
Tumblr media
Tetsutestu Tetsutetsu
Sexuality: Bi? Pan? Omni?? Poly??? I don't think he really knows the exact label fits him best. Everyone in class B would say he's Bisexual, but he himself would answer the question with a "I dunno, boys are cute, girls are cute, what's it matter?"
Gender: ALSO Transgender, He/Him
OTP: I really like him with Kendo, their dynamic is incredibly cute and funny. A lot of "That's MY WIFE!!!!! :D" Energy and I love that for him. He's her biggest cheerleader.
BROTP: He and Eiji as constantly butting head twins who are too similar for their own good is incredibly funny to me and I do love that dynamic. I also love him with Neito Monoma as the bite to his bark kind of dynamic. He doesn't do it on purpose, he just loves hyping people up and isn't really hearing the nonsense Monoma is saying.
Random Headcanon: Tetsu really needs glasses, like really needs glasses, and just doesn't know it. He thinks everybody sees like this and just hasn't questioned it.
General Opinion: My Hero Academia Dumb Guy is a very particular gender and I adore it. Well, I call Tetsu dumb but he can't be that dumb to be in UA, it's a top school after all. He's just impulsive and hard headed and reckless, not necessarily stupid. I love him, boy son son boy
Tumblr media
Momo Yaoyorozu
Sexuality: I'm in camp AroAce Momo, but I can also be on team Ace/Lesbian Momo. Back and forth on that one a lot.
Gender: Cis gender, She/Her
OTP: Sense I think she's Aro I don't have a lot of Momo ships off the top of my head, but I think she and Jiro are cute. The ideal Big Fem Little Butch Lesbian/Bi ship. If anything Jiro for sure has a crush on her.
BROTP: I really like the headcanon that she, Iida, and Todoroki are all childhood friends who attended a lot of the same Pro Hero/High class parties and hung out together during them.
Random Headcanon: Momo's parents don't support her choice to do Hero work, and are constantly threatening to pull her out of UA if the hero training gets in the way of her grades. She has an uncle who's a Pro Hero, which is how she got the recommendation to UA in the first place, he's also the one who signed all her paperwork and showed up for Parent's Day.
Overall Opinion: Momo is what made me realize I shouldn't focus too hard on the costuming of My Hero Academia fjkghjdfg her hero suit makes me sad. I think she's a very under used character, and could use some character development time under Fatgum, sense they both have quirks that utilize fat cells and she is entirely too thin to be doing hard hero work while using up that much energy. No WONDER she passes out all the time!
Tumblr media
Nirengeki Shoda
Sexuality: Biromantic, Asexual
Gender: Trans Man, He/Him
OTP: It's hard to ship the 1-B kids cause they don't get near enough focused screen time. Shoda doesn't even seem to have a real affinity with anyone in his class either, sense every time we've seen him he's paired with someone new. I got nothing, it seems.
BROTP: He, Yui, Reiko, and Kendo all hang out I think. Shoda's really chill and team focused, so he can really blend into any group, but the girls specifically tend to steal him for hang outs the most.
Random Headcanon: Shoda has a real hard time taking praise or thinking he's really worthy of anything, a lot like Momo. It's something he's been forced to get better at sense being in a class with Neito Monoma though, sense the guy won't take "nah I didn't do anything" as an answer when complimenting people. Shoda's worked self deprecation out of his speaking habits out of necessity at this point.
General Opinion: My son boy I picked this one for the Fatfam and I'm the only one to do so but the Baseball OVA really got me okay my S/I is baseball themed and Shoda's quirk is REALLY GOOD for baseball of COURSE I'd pick him up. My intern now, suck it Shishido. I also just think the Fatgum agency needs more Class B in the mix. MORE REP FOR CLASS B!!!!

"Tony. Tony."
"Mmh? What?"
"It's an emergency."
Fabio's standing over him in the same clothes he was wearing a few hours ago; they've made a habit of hanging out at either's home, playing video games for however long and laughing about stupid shit and inevitably getting drunk or falling asleep of pure exhaustion. Tony notices that his position on Fabio's couch has shifted a little since he was awake last, but more than that, he notices that Fabio is freaking out.
"I need you to believe what I'm about to say," Fabio urges. He's almost shaking.
"Okay,"
"I… God, it's really, really fucked up."
"Just say it, bro."
"Are you sure you're gonna be okay?"
"Yes, I'm sure, now fucking say it, man,"
"I have a vagina."
Unexpected, for sure. Either Fabio is a really, really good liar, the kind that Tony knows he isn't, or this is serious.
"Oh my god, I -- forget I said anything. This was stupid. I'm… I'm going back to bed,"
"What? No, come on. Talk to me."
"Okay, but don't stare at me."
--
They end up, of course, phoning Jorge. Tony tries not to think about what it's going to be like, training with him in a few weeks, when this is all over. If it's ever over.
"So we called Marc who said to call Dani but neither of us have his number so I called you so we could talk to him."
"Wow. Courteous."
"Can we please just talk to him?"
"Could you tell me what it's about first?"
"Oh my god."
"Why are you keeping secrets from me if you're about to tell my husband?"
"You… Fabio is having a, um, problem. Health problem. Very unexpected."
"Okay, you know what, I don't need to know more. Tell Dani,"
The phone is passed and a different Spanish lilt answers. "What is it?"
"Hi, it's Tony and Fabio, you already know that. Fabio… uh, he woke up with, uh, different… he has a vagina."
"Did this happen just now?"
"Yes. What do we do?"
"Well, don't panic," pretty hard not to, "it's manageable. Stress, hormone imbalance, certain vitamins, minerals. More iron and magnesium."
"Are you serious? Is there anything we can do to… speed up the process?"
"Well, certain kinds of physical activity work the best,"
"Like what?"
"Sex. Actually, that's probably the quickest way, but I didn't think you'd like to…"
"Yeah, not really interested in fucking my best friend."
"If you want, try other kinds of high-intensity cardio, but results can be … unreliable. Doesn't activate the same neural pathways or release the same chemicals."
"How the fuck do you know all this?"
--
"Happened to me, obviously. I was around your age."
They hang up after that.
"Do you know any lesbians?"
"Well, yes, but I'm not sure Ana is going to drop everything and show up here. And most lesbians aren't into… you."
"Oof, my poor ego. Any bi girls?"
"Not personally. You wanna try, like, Tinder or something?"
"Jesus, no, I can't go on a date right now! Fuck, we… I really shouldn't be trusting strangers with this. If this gets out,"
"Would be bad."
"Yeah, really."
A long and strange silence. Fabio shifts in his seat and Tony realizes something.
"Would it be better if I do it?"
"W-what do you mean?"
"Like, bro, you can trust me. I know you, I've seen you way worse than this."
"No, you haven't."
"What about when you broke your leg?"
"Okay, maybe."
"Um."
--
"Tony, you -- you don't have to kiss me,"
"But I want to,"
"You are good. Better than I expected."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
--
"If I didn't know better, I'd think you were hard for me right now."
"All for you, big boy."
"Stop trying to fluster me, man, it's not gonna work."
"Then stop trying to make jokes, it doesn't make this any less hot."
--
Tony can feel how wet Fabio is through his boxers. "God, have you been like this the whole time?"
"Yeah," Fabio breathes, "since I woke up. It f-feels… weird. Not like a boner," He half-chokes awkwardly through the last sentence, attempting a laugh and achieving something more like a hoarse moan.
"I can imagine," Tony says, looking down now not to avoid eye contact but to focus on removing Fabio's underwear.
--
"D-do you think that's it?" Fabio exhales, still panting high in his chest.
"I don't know. I mean, it's obviously not changing right now," Tony replies, leaning back and wiping his mouth, breathing just as hard.
"Did Dani say how many--"
"I don't know, I didn't ask,"
"Did you think just one would be enough," Fabio purrs, "or did you not ask him so that you could go as many rounds as you want?" He plays up the joking tone but Tony can see him still quivering. He pulls him in for a long kiss, still a little strange, with his hands clasped oddly around his forearms.
"What do you want?" Fabio nearly whispers.
"I want to fuck you,"
"Me?"
"God, Fabio, if you're not gay then please stop getting my hopes up."
"Look, in any other situation, I wouldn't. I just," … "feel so, I don't know. I feel good,"

bi anon! would you say bi women (and women aligned nonbinary people, yknow) tend to experience attraction to men differently than straight women? for a long time i didn't think i liked men bc i was comparing my attraction to men to straight women's attraction to men, which was very different. but from what I've seen, the way bi women love men aligns quite well w the way i feel about men (like ideal relationship dynamics and roles, and liking/preferring gnc men and/or men who are also bi). obvs bisexual people aren't a monolith, but is this a fairly common experience? sorry if some of this doesn't make sense, I'm kinda scatterbrained!
I think the answer is "Sometimes yes, sometimes no."
I think most people experience their attraction differently and I think most people experience their attraction in the same way. I think attraction can impacted by many things--mental health, individual experiences, what people you are surrounded by, and culture. I think LGBT culture and specifically bi culture counts as "culture" in this respect, so, yes, that can impact how you experience attraction.
But do I think bisexuals wholly experience their gendered attraction differently than straight people or gay people? No.
How you are attracted to men will be impacted by many, many things. I think being bisexual can definitely be part of those many, many things.
I'm going to use the word "often" a lot but please just assume each time I use it it is followed by "(but not always, not even necessarily most of the time)".
Often, bisexuality is tied to questioning gender norms and conventions tied to that. Why is X feature attractive in men? Why is Y feature not valued in women? Often, this can be replicated in feminism and thus reach straight women.
Often, bisexuality means approaching relationships outside of gender conventions. You may not be looking at a man as a provider, a patriarch, a father (to your children, not talking about ~daddy). That may change how you are attracted to him. Again, this can be replicated with feminism.
Often, bisexuality means questioning why you find one feature attractive in one gender but not any other. This may mean realizing, "Oh, if I find hairy men hot, maybe hairy women are hot too." Or, "Hey, women with long hair are beautiful, why not men?" Often, straight people don't have this point of access to breaking down things this smoothly.
Often, you are not consuming the same media, talking to the same circles. Straight people often divide up their friend groups by men are friends with men, women are friends with women, and they aren't having the same revelations that mixed gender, mixed sexuality groups are having. Like my exposure to men that gay men find attractive has ABSOLUTELY changed my attraction.
And sometimes it is as simple as that--what you are exposed to changes your attraction or your perception of attraction or your willingness to maybe give {blank} a shot and you'll look at {blank} with fresh eyes.
But each individual person is going to respond to this exposure a different way. Most of my friends at this point I have known 20-10+ years. We all have WILDLY different tastes despite having a lot of the same life experiences, often in our more formative years (childhood, teens, early 20s).
I've met straight women with better (from my perspective) taste in women than my bi friends or gay male friends. Fuck, I've met straight women with better taste in women than my bi friends or lesbian friends. I've spoken to gay dudes with identical taste in men with me and I've met gay dudes whose tastes is so bad it maeks me question them as people. I've had identical taste to straight men when it comes to women.
Do I think it's more likely bi people will have taste that coincides with each other, prioritizing the same things? Depends on a lot of things--what are their politics, what media are ethey consuming, what do their real life friendships look like, what ar ethey being exposed to? The more those latter things overlap, the more their bisexuality and attractions will present the same. Bisexuality increases the likelihood that SOME of those latter things are more similar than not but... it isn't a sure thing.

Might cost me some followers, or worse, but...
Am I the only one that gets sick of seeing people use their race/orientation/gender to farm empathy for causes?
Big rant below the cut, and I am probably going to get hate for this, but I'm presenting this in good faith, in the hopes it will be seen for what it really is, and not as an attack.
Like...I see a dozen or more "HELP A TRANS MAN PAY RENT" or "BLACK QUEER CREATOR HERE IN NEED OF BILL MONEY" or "GAY TRANSMASCS CALLING FOR HELP WITH EXPENSES" posts every day, and...Why?
Why does your gender or your race or your sexuality matter in this context? There is no reason to include it.
Whether you're gay, straight, bi, ace, whether you're black, white, native, whether you're cis, trans, non-binary, regardless of these things, they do not change whether or not you need the help and they do not make you more or less worthy of that help.
Maybe I'm jaded. Maybe I'm cynical or too far down the glass-half-empty side of life, but the only reason I can see for it is farming empathy.
It comes off, to me, as "I need help! Wait- you don't understand, I'm BLACK and I need help, that means I need it more than others might" or "I need help, and since you now know I'm TRANS you know you need to prioritize me!"
I get that some people don't like to donate to white cisgender folk, but...Have we really hit the point of inclusivity that has brought us back around to exclusion?
If someone needs help, you help them if you can. If someone asks for help sincerely and in good faith, you help if you can, that's just how humans are supposed to be.
So why does anyone need to know, in the context of your request for help, what your race, gender, or orientation are?
I don't care if you're black. I don't care if you're white. I don't care if you're asian or native or fucking GREEN.
I don't care if you're trans. I don't care if you're cis. I don't care if you're non-binary. I don't care if you're agender.
I don't care if you're straight. I don't care if you're bisexual. I don't care if you're ace. I don't care if you're pan, omni, or demi.
All that should matter in a request for help are the help needed and the circumstances causing it.
WHY do you need help? WHAT help do you need? WHEN is the latest that help will achieve anything?
Cancel me if you want, call it a hot take, put me down six feet under, I don't care.
Fact of the matter is that NOBODY should care about WHO is asking for the help so long as the request is sincere and in good faith. Caring so much about race, gender, or orientation that you would deny a straight cis white man the last $50 he needs to cover his monthly expenses so he doesn't wind up dying of cold or hunger on the streets, while offering that same $50 to a trans black lesbian ENTIRELY on the grounds that "well they're not cis or white so they automatically take priority" is JUST as exclusionary as when we get pushed aside because we're NOT cis, white, or straight.
We're supposed to be BETTER than that. You can't preach inclusion, you can't preach tolerance, while actively pushing a norm that invites harm to those different from you based solely on the grounds that they are different.
So with all of that said, WHY do people feel the need to put their gender/orientation/race in their help requests? Because the cynic in me can't see a single reason other than "people will feel more sorry for me, and pay me more, if they know I'm not cis, white, and straight".
I don't want to live in the world where that's true, so PLEASE educate me and teach me if that isn't the case.

(1/2) You ever think how "I'm so gay" is just a way of saying "hot"? Where a straight person would say something like "I want to motorboat her tits" or "I've never wanted to suck a dick so bad", tumblr gays will go "not to be GAY... but o,,,,h m y. G o D ! ! hngnngngnggn jesus chRISt". With lesbians this is seems especially bad. Ime (I'm a lesbian myself) it's rare to see a lesbian openly express her attraction without these weird contortions even outside of tumblr.
"so gay" anon (2/2) I wonder how much of it has to do with demonization of sexuality both male and female (you don't want to sound like an icky STRAIGHT MAN, the horror! vs women in general being judged for expressing attraction vs lesbians in particular struggling against the sexsless "uwu soft gorls flower crowns" stereotype), and how much of it has to do with wanting to signal an in-group and a stereotypically female need to make it like a communal experience (tumblr being mostly afab).
Oh, absolutely.
(Future me coming back here after I wrote my response. Buckle up, I have Thoughts.)
You’re right on the money here, especially since it’s something I’ve experienced myself.
There’s so much demonization and weird expectations around sexuality. Including but not limited to;
Demonizing people who express sexual attraction to women, viewing them as “predatory”
The experience lesbians specifically often have with feeling alienated from their straight girl peers (not being able to do typical platonic things found in female friend circles like hugging, braiding hair, holding hands, etc. Without fearing being seen as predatory)
Thinking all straight men are just straight up rapists
Seeing sexual attraction as icky and impure, and favouring romanticized “she has such pretty hair”, “I want to kiss her cheek”, “I want to hold her hand in a flower field”, etc.
As far as the last point goes, you’re absolutely right that it happens mostly with wlw (especially lesbians though since unlike bi women we’re only attracted to women, so it’s our whole attraction that’s affected. And the word “lesbian” itself is often seen as inherently gross and predatory. Not saying this doesn’t affect bi women—because it does—just making the distinction).
Look through any wlw, sapphic, or lesbian tag on Tumblr. It’s likely to be filled with all these cutesy things that often infantilize same sex attraction to women. Calling women “girls”, talking about how “pretty” they are, talking about flowers a lot for some reason, and honestly the overall tone that’s used which is very “uwu innocent soft girl”. So eventually you get bombarded with things like “omg girls are so pretty, just look at how their hair twirls, I just wanna braid flowers into it, I’m so gay”.
And everyone’s scared to go further than that and go into the gross sexual territory—because if anybody dares to express sexual attraction towards women? They’re evil and misogynistic and predatory. If you’re wlw and you’re doing it? Omg, you’re making women unsafe in locker rooms!! What, are you looking at them???
Sorry, this is sort of turning into a rant on how suppressed wlw sexuality is. Because it bothers me so much. And yes, I was 100% somebody who would say “omg not to be gay but”/“wow I’m gay”/“I’m having gay thoughts right now”/etc. In place of “wow, that lady is hot”. So it’s something that’s personal and close to home for me.
Point is, you’re so right and you should say it. Because this is such a common problem. I think it could also be a result of same sex attraction being so sexualized (in the case of men it’s usually to portray SGA as “icky, in the case of women it’s usually to make porn), and SGA people feeling the need to push back against that and say “no, look, we’re just as pure as you are!!”.
It’s a lot of things coming together and working against us. And now we have “I’m so gay” as a way to express attraction without having to deal with the negative repercussions of expressing attraction as a gay/bi person, especially a gay/bi woman.
Despite all this, I think that there genuinely is a problem with people throwing around “I’m so gay” without any of these things factoring in. Because I see people saying things like “I like iced coffee, I’m so gay haha” or “I’m so gay, I can’t even drive”. That I think is just a result of the word “gay” being watered down so much, so now it means “quirky” instead of “homosexual”.
But where it’s used in place of “wow that’s hot” or “holy shit she’s gorgeous”, or anything of the sort? Absolutely a result of the demonization around same sex attraction.
So to sum my thoughts up, because I think this is really important to talk about;
Sexual attraction is still seen as “impure”. This goes double for same sex sexual attraction.
Any sexual attraction to women is seen as predatory. Often due to homophobia, it’s seen as worse when it comes from wlw.
To escape being seen as gross and predatory, wlw (and honestly SGA people in general) have adopted a culture of purity, femininity, romanticism, and flowery prose to come off as anything but sexual.
This leads to language like “that’s so hot” being replaced with more acceptable alternatives like “I’m so gay”. This way the feelings of attraction can be communicated, but not explicitly because that would be Bad.

I hate it here
Tumblr media
Why does he get to appropriate people's race and still have so much access??
I thought impersonation was a crime.
I thought stealing someone's identity was a crime. How is he walking around Freely and taking pictures with hot chicks?😒
THAT SHOULD BE ME😭😭😭
If he is profiting off of his looks he needs to be sued by Hybe IMMEDIATELY.
HYBE SHOULD HIRE ME - If they can over look my gossipy nature and the fact they really can't trust me with any company secrets plus I'll spend all my time staring at Jikook and simping for YoonminhopeJoon🙂
Tumblr media
Bapsae aaahhhhh 😏😏😏
To answer your question Barbara, you are not the only confused one when it comes to these labels. We all are.
A lot of people use Bi these days instead of Pan because people find the term Pansexuality confusing and offensive so....
Strange times.
Offensive because some people in the Bi community feel it's a redundant term as to them it means the same as Bisexuality. As such they feel the use of Pansexuality is erasure and invalidating of their own identity.
From what I understand of this ongoing label wars in the community, those who get offended by Pansexuality do so mostly because they do not view trans identity as a seperate unique gender in of it's own but merely as an adjective.
To such, there is no thing as cis boy or trans boy and that a boy is a boy. So being Bi to them means they are attracted to boys( cis or trans) and girls (regardless of whether they are cis or trans)- which is what Pansexuality actually is💀
Here in lies the conflict. Cis women and some people, myself included, see trans identity as a seperate gender identity from cis identity and differentiates between a biological Male or female and a trans Male or female.
As such a boy is not a boy, a boy is either cis boy or trans boy and both are valid.
This distinction is what mostly sets bisexuality from pan sexuality from my point of view.
It's disheartening. Not to mention anxiety inducing and confusing as hell when we can't even agree on basic terms to describe ourselves.
I don't know how conscious BTS are of these conversations and so I've always viewed their use of labels such as boy/girl in their lyrics with utmost fascination given as there are trans genders within their community.
I often find myself wondering what Joonie means when he talks of girls- does he mean cis girls or trans girls? Would he date either or both?
Personally, I view Trans identity as a valid, separate unique form of identity, unique from Cis identity and not just as an epithet.
I date and definitely find trans girls romantically and sexually attractive especially if there's minimum trace of their cis masculinity in them.
But I have friends who identify as lesbians but wouldn't date trans girls regardless of how they present. Yet they wouldn't mind dating a stud or Masculine presenting females as long as they are Cis girls. Talk of transphobia💀
Some girls call me Bi because I like cis and other fems and I'm perfectly fine with it. However embracing that label in Male spaces gives me a lot of headaches because they just assume I'd date any man too.
I have dated fem tops (girly girls who like to be the dominant one in relationships and also prefer to penetrate other girls during sex) who identify as lesbians but have threesomes with gay men💀
I mean as long as they get to fuck those men or penetrate/ top them or so they say and yes I've seen it happen with my two eyes- I have gay threesomes don't judge or tell my pastor😥
I'm going to hell as it is no need to compound it🤧
My ex was like that. She dated a gay guy she was topping and was gonna marry him because her family was pressuring her to get married. The dude was closeted and their relationship was convenient until he came out and lowkey outed her in the process.
When I asked her if she was bisexual she said she didn't have a label because none suited her at the time and that she likes girls regardless of how those girls identify as. So a femboi, andro, trans girls, cis girls, straight girls, gay girls, as long as you feminine she likes.
I'm a bit like that too... minus the topping fembois and gays part💀
If I had a dick it would be useless 🤣
I say all this to say, labels are a bit tricky and a lot of people struggle to find the right fit.
Gay or queer is our go to label.
For the sake of the conversation we having, I'd define being Bi as liking your own gender plus the opposite of your gender but in an exclusive way. Being Bi also means the gender of a person matters to you in your determination of what you find attractive.
However being Pan means you place less emphasis on the gender of the person you are attracted to and more emphasis on the qualities those people possess- really doesn't matter what the other person is if you like em you like em. Which means a person don't gotta be cis or trans boy or girl or other for you to like them. They just have to have a certain quality you find attractive.
Just like you said, you being a girl find gurls attractive too but I don't think you'd be willing to date a girl- cis or trans- a person has to be Male for you to date them. Right?
That exclusivity is what makes you straight. You like one gender to the exclusion of others.
Gays and lesbians like one gender, the same gender, to the exclusion of others.
Bisexuals may like multiple genders, different genders, to the exclusion of others.
Pansexuals like multiple genders but not to the exclusion of others.
If Gender is important to you in determining who a suitable romantic partner is you are either Straight or Bi. If gender is not important to your determination of who a suitable partner is then you're pansexual.
Pansexuals are gender blind🤣
If Pansexuals are bisexuals, there should be a label for the category currently viewed as bisexuals.
When Suga says " I look at personality and it's not limited to girls" I believe he's talking about the qualities he finds attractive in PEOPLE.
When he sings boy or girl my tongue technology will send you to hongkong it carries a similar sentiment. He's saying basically it doesn't matter what you identify as he can make you orgasm under his- rap?
Tumblr media
That's pan energy to me. You go pan Suga! BAPSAE AAAHHH🤭
IF he were queer then I'd assume he's more likely to be pan not bi- hypocritically speaking.
But he is NOT QUEER.
Tumblr media
SOPE YOONMIN AND ANYSHIP INVOLVING SUGA IS NOT REAL or even likely to be.
Since we are both men, how can my heart throb for a man. This implies he believes his heart only has to throb for the opposite sex. Yea no he is definitely not bi.
Tumblr media
Straight as an arrow this one.
He doesn't find men sexually or romantically attractive. He is not gay or bi and I don't think he wants to be.
I assume he's straight. I do.
And as a straight dude, he's certainly intriguing and I can see how certain actions of his make people queer read him especially in his dominant ships Sope and Yoonmin and Taegi.
But I don't think he goes out of his way to queer code himself.
And I see what you mean by the exaggerated speech. Rappers do trash talk, boast and talk shit in their music but they are also notoriously homophobic with the exception of a few. References of queerness in their lyrics are usually often used pejoratively to slur other rappers etc.
May be I'm too black, gay, and a woman to overlook the misogyny and homophobia that's traveled through Black American hip pop to elsewhere even if it takes on new family friendly labels such as Kpop or BTS.
I don't tend to read hiphop lyrics through non cis non straight non male lens. Unless of course it's from a queer artist but even that there's almost always something internalized.
It's fascinating how people look at a hip hop artist and glean their sexuality from their lyrics....
I'm dozing off. Will read over this tomorrow and add anything I might have missed.

The issue with Nica and Tiffany is not representation.
Normally I don’t really touch fandom discourse with a ten foot pole, especially not for a fandom that I haven’t actively been apart of since I was fourteen.
But this situation bothered me because of how people are treating it. I’ve seen people claim that we are either upset by this because we’re biphobic or because we can’t handle horror touching upon dark themes.
But that’s not the issue at all? I’ll be frank, I don’t really give a fuck if you want Tiffany to be bi. Who you end up with, whether that person is a man, a woman, or identifies as something else, does not change your sexuality. The issue is that it just feels so forced. Especially given Tiff’s character, we know that she is devoted to Chucky to the extent that it’s unhealthy. But at least it’s treated as such. We’re shown time and time again that Tiffany and Chucky do AWFUL things to each other, Chucky kills her for fucks sake. They’re both horrible people, and at least with the Chiffany ship, people acknowledge that.
With Nica and Tiffany, I have seen people left and right using this ship to victimize Tiff. People have this idea that being with Nica means that Tiffany is vulnerable deep down and just desperately wants to be loved. That suddenly she’s changing from her obsession with Chucky, and feels affection for Nica. This sounds like fanfiction.
The representation is not the issue, it is the way you guys are all romanticizing it and acting like this somehow isn’t gross because it’s two women. Tiffany, if she actually was staying true to her character, is quite literally just using Nica for her own selfish purposes. Tiff is not all uwu soft because she suddenly has the hots for another girl, she literally murders people. It’s quite literally stated that Nica doesn’t even want to have sex with Tiffany, she just feels bad for her. Nica is quite literally just developing Stockholm syndrome.
And sure, you could argue that it’s allowed to go down this non-con, abusive, path because it’s horror and the whole point of horror, but nobody is treating it like horror. The people behind the set themselves are trying to set this up in a way that humanizes Tiffany.. But like.. You all need to realize that just because someone comes out as bisexual, this does not just suddenly erase the fact that they’re not a good person. Tiff isn’t suddenly going to change who she is and all her ambitions because she has conflicting feelings towards Nica.
And the fact that there are people screaming that they’re a lesbian power couple now is really gross. Abuse is same sex relationships already has an issue of not being taken seriously, don’t carry that trend into this. If you’re going to ship them, acknowledge that Chucky and Tiffany have been using Nica’s body for things without consent. Acknowledge that Tiff and Nica’s relationship is built on abuse, non-con, and breaking down another woman’s will. Acknowledge that Nica is a fucking victim, and that just because two women are getting together does not make it a good thing. Not all representation has to be good, queer people can absolutely do bad things.
But I know that a lot of you would be upset if this was a straight relationship taking this route, so why does that suddenly change when it’s two women. People would be screaming it to the heavens if an abusive ship with man was this badly written and forced. If I see one more person argue that Nica and Tiff is more healthy, I am going to lose my mind
It has no place in canon because it is written HORRIBLY. If you’re going to explore dark themes like these, at least make sure you’re not portraying the abuser as the victim for the love of god.
Oh and for the record, we are not all a little queer to an extent. Maybe that was a tasteless joke, but that all but cements in my mind that this was nothing more than a poorly written afterthought that was tossed in to try and appeal to a queer audience. I am all for canon queer characters, but not when it feels this forced. And especially not when it’s cis men trying to write a wlw relationship and botching it this badly. Same sex relationships do not always = good relationships, and.. If you’re retconning a character that is meant to be a disgusting person’s whole personality to fit into a soft same sex relationship stereotype and completely ignoring the abuse then... that screams fetishization and I think that you need to take another look at how you, yourself treat the community. Treat it for what it is, don’t cram us into the stereotype where we’re soft widdle babies that can do no wrong.
Keep the same energy with abusive queer relationships that you do with straight abusive relationships.
And before anyone comes for me, I am literally the audience this is targeted to.

THE WICKED WITHIN—A COMIC SANS WIP REINTRO
!!!!! it's here :D the wip that started to consume me and has been continuing to do so since, now with a much better sense of what exactly is Happening
current tww taglist let me know to be +/- !! @a-completely-normal-writer @writing-is-a-martial-art @wannabeauthorzofija @magic-is-something-we-create @croctears @writeblrfantasy @opes-magnas @author-a-holmes @zoya-writes@fuyugomori @ink-fireplace-coffee
transcript is under the cut!!!
[transcript: a powerpoint presentation of black text on white background, written entirely in comic sans.
start slide one the top left corner reads in red, "warnings (most relevant) war, death, drugs (& addiction), poison". in the center, "the wicked within", and underneath it in smaller font, "a comic sans reintro by @47crayons". the comments around the entire slide read "a family that is so found!!!", "gang rivalry :D and gang content in general", "crime found family basically", "childhood friends to STILL FRIENDS", "all queer cast :p", "eat the rich (not quite, but it’s the right sentiment aldskjfls)", "kickass women, yeah bay bee", "nuanced relationships between different groups :D", "morally grey characters!!!", "so many different governments!!!", "a (mostly alsjflksdj) stable relationship!!!" end slide one
start slide two in the beginning of time… there were four gods: eltenjer, he/him, earth; skari, he/him, fire; aenged, they/them, air; thilda, she/her, water. i didn’t /mean/ for them to have genders, but a quiet breeze whispered “psst. i use they/them.” in the beginning? so you mean… they’re not there anymore? kind of! the gods need followers to survive, and after several unfortunate events, they lost the majority of their followers. the aforementioned unfortunate events: the great ruination, in which natural disasters caused several years of famine and other hardship. the restoration era, in which renovation led people to believe they can live without the gods. if the gods are dead, what’s the point? the gods aren’t /really/ dead, closer to dormant. they can’t actively interact with the mortal realm, but IF they had followers, they would come back to life. oh. did i mention that they control the magic. end slide two
start slide three the dormant gods who can't do... anything control the magic??? hey, no one said magic always has to work. foreshadowing alert huge foreshadowing alert. let’s talk about how magic works, shall we :D people use the Spirit to do magic. people have a Vessel (representation of stamina or how much Sprit can be used at once, can be trained!). people also have a Strength (a type of magic that works well with the user, these have varying frequencies which also depends on location). there’s too much i could say here, but the important thing is the main characters’ Strengths. the right depicts an image of a flowchart showing that gods need followers and produce sprit. people need spirit to do magic. end slide three
start slide four okay but where are we??? where could the magic be so fucked? well, here, of course! the left side shows a line art map, split into five parts going clockwise: portingdale, worchester, the hooks, elderwood, unlabeled. the legend shows that there are mountains in portingdale, forests in elderwood, and rivers that run from portingdale to everywhere else. the place where the four labeled regions meet is called the Inner City. the text on the right reads. welcome to Kjer! there are 3 districts. but wait! there are five? sections? and one isn’t even labelled. worchester used to be a district,,, but it left after the war began. the unlabeled section is the disputed region (re: war). let’s talk more about this war. elderwood wanted easier access to water (see: the rivers in the Wetlands) elderwood & portingdale have been fighting there on and off for over half a century. the hooks has three wards: west (hella rich), south (lower income), north (somewhere in between). end slide four
start slide five whomst. skip to the next slide if you want the actual characters. character basics: the unnecessarily-winded-and-cram-a-lot-of-lore-in version. in the North Ward of The Hooks, there are three main gangs. Kaer Styen, meaning “wicked ones”, Ghetfaer Skarnen, meaning “trickster lords”, Ad Knesten, meaning “the grumbles”. that was so many capital letters i don’t like capital letters alskjdflksjd. they have rivalries and conflicts from time to time, but it’s pretty rare. the tww cast is kaer styen !!! their main means of profit is a drug called jezdin. relieves physical and mental pain. lethal in high. quantities/ when tampered with. can also be addictive. they operate out of a dingy tavern-like building, and they live upstairs!!! okay so this is purely for vibes. how did u know. end slide five
start slide six the Gang. literally :3 Kaer Styen, my beloved. the first thing in each of their bios is their Strength (re: the magic slide). artbreeders!!! i fixed quite a few of them, but my artbreeder skills are questionable at best. this slide is split into three columns. the first column shows a white person with short, brown, curly hair and a firm, but not angry, facial expression. len, he/him, pan. Shifter (can manipulate physical properties). cynical, very cynical (because he has killer instincts). “oh people are dying? am i dying? are you dying? why should i care?” in a relationship with cal. the second column shows a person who appears east asian with long, black, wavy hair and fair skin. chloe, she/her, aroace. Chemist (chemistry but magical). literal archery god. also she’s so quiet it’s SCARY. seems welcoming, emphasis on /seems/ she’ll destroy your ass. knows what you’re feeling. she just. knows. the third column shows a white person with dirty blonde hair. they are smiling. cal, they/them, bi. Whisperer (can persuade others through speech/music). so casually funny all your burdens disappear for a hot minute. gets very attached very deeply. grew up in Portingdale which becomes Important later. end slide six
start slide seven cont. also they have piercings!!!! maybe i will make some picrews later (listen, i KNOW i’ve said this before but. maybe i’m for realsies this time, okay?) this slide is also split into three columns. the first a smiling white female with light blonde hair. eden, she/her?, demi lesbian. Healer (healing magic <3). seen hell and doesn’t want others to suffer. still believes in the gods’ existence. we Don’t talk about her awful parents. raised by a lovely woman in the South Ward, known as Nana. this eye (left) is almost PURPLE which i didn’t do on purpose but is honestly such a cool idea. the second column shows a partially smiling black man with short curly hair. jereth, he/him, gay. powerful life magic thing (will be spoilers if i talk any more). joins them at the beginning. honestly kind of scared of them (who wouldn’t be), but wants to live up to expectations. throws himself into stuff to avoid Thoughts. the third column shows a woman with brown skin, black wavy hair, and a small smile. she is NOT a member of Kaer Styen, but i’m talking about her here all the same. adalaide, she/her, bi (i didn’t like the e in adelaide alskdfjlsj). Melder (metals and the like). heir to the Portingdale throne (assuming her dad doesn’t disown her). Cal’s ex from a few~ years ago she’s still a lil’ hung up on them. technically an antagonist but i love her. so all my characters are queer sue me </3 end slide seven
start slide eight some semblance of plot? coming right up!! the four (jereth isn’t there yet!) are attacked in the Inner City. turns out it’s portingdale soldiers. and then they discover that portingdale has been poisoning the southern rivers (affects worchester and the south ward) because worchester doesn’t really contribute to Kjer as a whole. word gets out, and elderwood, naturally, is even angrier at portingdale (remember, they've been at war). so, they try to stop portingdale from being power hungry enough to poison the entirety of a country while learning about why worchester is so isolated while ALSO trying not to get killed by everyone who hates them. end slide eight
start slide nine memes :> the first is the meme of spongebob reading a sheet of paper and burning it. the paper reads, "going into worchester by yourself is going to get you KILLED", and spongebob is labelled "chloe". the second is the levels of brain template labelled "jereth". from the weakest to most powerful: "trying to figure out his magic", "doing it by accident", "saving everyone's lives". the third is the sleeping person and brain meme. brain: "you're going to portingdale". cal: yeah, i know. brain: you'll see adalaide. cal's eyes are wide open in fear. the fourth says "corporate needs you to find the difference between this image and this image". the first image says, "family", and the second one says, "len, chloe, cal, jereth." eden says, "they're the same picture". the fifth is the spiderman copycat meme where jereth is copying len. end slide nine

Hey! As another lesbian who watches Ted Lasso, I was wondering how you felt about the greyhound raiser who's obsessed with Keeley in the latest episode? It was a very short moment in what I thought was otherwise a very excellent episode, but it didn't quite sit right with me. On the one hand, I love this delightful dog-raising lesbian who thinks Keeley is hot because, same. But on the other hand, it's not ideal for, you know, the closest thing to queer representation we have in the show.
Hi! Thanks for this ask! I’ve only watched the finale once, and I’m with you—I loved the episode and I did not enjoy the scene with the queer woman greyhound raiser because it felt very borderline Predatory Lesbian Stereotype. Which is so tired and such a stupid thing that makes queer women feel bad and stressed out about their own attraction to people and I hate it!
I tried to put my finger on what bothered me about the scene and it’s a bit difficult, because (keeping in mind I’ve only watched it once) I don’t take issue with the writing of the scene nor do I especially take issue with the acting! I think the issue for me is an issue of the directing and editing; I somehow wanted the camera angles to feel different, and for the scene to be a few beats shorter, because I would have gotten more out of the scene if we’d been physically closer to Keeley’s reaction.
In a conversation about the scene, @freetobegrace made a really excellent point that this scene does kind of reflect a lot of the contradictory things about Keeley’s life right now. Keeley is trying to process what it means that she’s opening the real her up to the world a bit more in places like the Vanity Fair article, but she’s often still seen as an influencer, a model, a semi-famous hot person. That observation did help me consider the value of this scene about “being seen” (and how accurate or inaccurate that gaze is) taking place between two queer women, and when one of whom exists on such a cusp. Keeley seems a little uncomfortable but also flattered, and that’s very in line with her reactions to all kinds of attention. Again, well-written, well-acted, super fucking weird pacing/angles.
I definitely hope Ted Lasso explores more queer relationships in the future, and in more intentional ways. Men’s professional sport is such a famously closed-off place for queer athletes, and the show has laid such excellent groundwork for something like this with the whole mental health/authenticity conversation. In s1, Richmond undergoes a beautiful cultural shift, but it’s very insular, very team-building-y. Then s2 takes that kind culture and explodes it in really lovely ways. The mental health conversation becomes more intimate because of Ted’s crisis, but it also becomes more public. That’s a really rich atmosphere for exploring queerness, and I hope they take advantage.
I will say, though, that I do count Keeley as queer rep. She’s canonically bi; she’s talked about past experiences with women, she’s flirted with Rebecca and then made it clear that her attraction to her isn’t a joke. Do I want more? Of course! But she very much reads as an authentically queer woman who happens to be in a committed relationship with a man.
Going back to the Barkingham Palace scene, I’ll definitely be on the lookout when I rewatch the season, but to me this primarily feels like a directing mishap on the part of Declan Lowney, which makes me a little sad since I tend to really love the episodes he directs. A little more intention would have made this a pretty cute scene that reminds us of Keeley’s queerness and paints a portrait of who she is as a public figure coming into her own.
