While vaggie is in agony for the first time in three years since she'd started changing. Every fiber of her being wants to call for charlie. Yearns for that safety... but instead she bites her tongue and just curls in on herself, alone in the room she hastily barred shut. ~~She deserves this. To be alone.~~

Not sure which hazbin is the one to hear vaggie's pain and tries to check on her (let's go with angel and husk).

The hasty barricade she put on the door isnt enough. Not when the others are trying to force it open.

Vaggie tries to scream for them to go away. The last scrap of clarity she has before that warning turns into a predatory *shriek*. Vaggie's monster form tears apart the already falling barricade, and bursts into the hall.

'WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!'

'Fuck if I know, just run! Angel, hurry up!'

Vaggie is *tearing through the halls*, jaws snapping after Husk and Angel. They manage to hit the lobby, Husky grabbing Angel and flying like his life depends on it.

Meanwhile monster vaggie leaps after them... *right into the chandelier*.

Charlie hears the sound of that distant, shattering crash down below, and she *realizes*. Suddenly those painful worries have to get shoved down as charlie bolts out of their room.

'Please dont hurt anyone. Please, please, *please...!'*

Charlie's heart sinks as the shadows around the hotel start to writhe, and radio static fills the air.

'My my, what a surprising turn!'

Vaggie is *shrieking*, thrashing against shadowy tendrils as she tries to claw at Alastor.

'Now now. *Stay down*'

A rap of his cane, and vaggie's practically being crushed into the floor.

'What the fuck is wrong with you?!'

Husk is holding Angel back, looking away as Alastor starts to raise his hand. He cant watch this...

'Let her go.'

Alastor freezes when he feels the tip of an angelic spear under his chin.

There, standing at his side, in her full demon form, *is Charlie*.

'Ah, miss Charlotte. Lovely to see--'

'Let. Her. *Go!'*

For a moment, everything is quiet except for the sounds of vagging struggling, her talons digging into the floor. She's bleeding, golden blood pooling on the lobby floor... *And dripping from the claws on Alastor's hand.*

'Oh, very well. Good luck!'

Vaggie is snarling when Alastor lets her go. She starts getting ready to pounce when Charlie steps in front of her, spear in hand. Vaggie starts backing away, looking less like a predator and more... *like a cornered animal*. Her whole body seems coiled to run away as she keeps backing up, snarling and shrieking more in warning than anything else.

'Was it a lie?'

Vaggie shrieks at her, swiping at the air in the hopes Charlie would stay away.

'When you told me you didnt know what this was, was it a lie?'

Angel starts to step forward, but husk grabs his arm.

'Just let them do this...'

'Did. You. Lie?!'

Vaggie backs right into the wall, feathers flaring with a hiss.

'Was any of it real?'

Charlie can feel the tears on her cheeks. But what she wasnt expecting was to see tears in Vaggie's eye... Even as she snarled, and shrieked, and snapped her fangs, she was crying.

Charlie presses forward, Vaggie raising up over Charlie with a hawk-like screech, talons lashing out... But they dont connect, her talons *trembling* as they stilled inches from Charlie's face, her own spear aimed at her chest. Vaggie's eye is wild and afraid, but Charlie can see the *pain* there, too. She let out another shriek, closing her eye like she was bracing for the inevitable...

saw a couple clips on tiktok of the pjo cast and my excitement is through the fucking roof. i have many complaints about the writing and pacing in s1, but i’m praying that’s improved by s2 because i always loved sea of monsters and i feel like it’s too overhated. i honestly can’t wait for guinea pig percy and annabeth getting a makeover on circe’s island while he’s having a crisis and squeaking his lungs out in a cage, getting another peak into clarisse and ares’ relationship and her reaction when percy lets her take the fleece (also annabeth’s reaction!!!!), percy tricking polyphemus, the cannibal giants that annabeth just calls “canadians” lol, tyson and percy’s relationship!!! (and how he’s ashamed of him at first and then grows to love him completely), tantalus having enough of children and scaring them shitless with his cannibal stories and crying over every piece of food around him, hermes just walking up to percy on a beach, the percabeth siren scene!!!!!, the last line that is beyond iconic, and of course the best thing ever written: grover in a wedding dress (idc if it’s overhyped, i need it!!!!)

Of course Annabeth thought Thalia wanted her to earn her love!! Thalia Grace who’d never had anyone to take of her, not her mother, and certainly not her father. Thalia Grace who felt Jason’s absense everyday, the guilt of it, not being able to take care of him. Thalia Grace who met Luke Castellan but he took care of himself just fine and so did she so there was no need to worry. Thalia Grace who met a girl who ran away at an even younger age than she did. Thalia Grace who lost her brother and then met a girl the age he would’ve been if she hadn’t.

Thalia wasn’t making Annabeth earn anything, she was just scared she’d get that precious little girl killed and all her fears were almost proven right that day in the cyclops cave so that’s why she turned around and made sure it never happened again on Half-Blood Hill.

trust me, it was magnificent on the original screen. this is one of the few shots that are framed and lit so fucking beautifully and i'm glad they did it

forget i'm also thinking about the symbolism of such lighting oh lord it's so good with Rimmer literally being mashinery unable to live, emit body heat and generally being a stuck up and Lister holding up a small flame as he's the last human (probably) in the universe with his warm and lively (you know how flames move in many ways?) and caring personality, but how that is only a small lighter and when the fuid runs out it will dissapear forever. and oh lord it's not that deep but i am thinkiiiing

Hang on a second, when the show was first announced everyone was talking about how insane it’s going to be to see these literal children going through these traumatic events on screen compared to how when we were kid’s reading it, it seemed like a dream to be able to do. But now there’s people complaining that the show is showing these traumatic events in a realistic/serious way??

can you talk about the way scully says « he’s not my husband » in a defensive tone in iwtb when father pedophile calls mulder her husband bc that always kind of annoyed me but I don’t rlly know why

my thought is like…on a larger scale, there’s so much that we don’t know about them and their lives in those 6 years between iwtb and the original series, and theres so much that they can’t have and can’t do. i’ve said before that i don’t think msr would ever really want to have a wedding or care about being married, but at this point, they can’t. they can’t work together or go out together or see their family together. (they can’t raise their child together).

on a smaller scale, she’s pissed off lmao. at both of them. at the situation. scully’s a very private person and very protective of her relationship to mulder, regardless of the status of that relationship, she definitely doesn’t want father joe to know anything about them. she has that kind of bite of, you don’t know me. you don’t know my life.

and there’s also probably a bit of petulance of like, well, he’s not my husband!! he can’t be my husband!! both because of the circumstances and because of who he is. it’s like later when they argue and mulder’s like…you can’t ask me to stop, this is who i’ve always been. and she’s just like yep i know. (“that’s what scares me.”)

that’s so much of the conflict in iwtb, it’s so much of their core character traits reaching their lowest and most unhealthy expressions. it’s very much an ahab and starbuck storyline, but at the most manic and grating. scully lives in a haunted house with a haunted man without her baby and this is what she gave up everything for, and he’s not her husband, he doesn’t even turn to look at her when she comes home from work.
