by virtue of the GM having to play every NPC in contrast to every player having their one, it's fascinating the relationship dynamics this sets up in character throughout the narrative
#N posts stuff#specifically thinking about Caramelinda right now; you are a woman who was forced into a marriage after the love of your life died#your daughters Vastly and Openly love your husband more than you#you are Intimately aware of the dangers of the world and the roles that everyone in it is Forced to play and how important those roles Are#and your children Resent you for it. everything you try to do to keep them safe they Hate you for but you Cant Stop bc that wouldnt be Safe#and then your daughter dies; you thought she was safe in her bed and she wasn't. and now she's dead#and the child who brings you this news is still covered in your daughter's blood and accusing YOU of somehow inciting it#and your remaining daughter openly resents you for every move you make bc She thinks it's your fault too#she is still a child and telling you that if you had trusted them (As children) to not act as children do and if you had armed them with#magic that the lost love of your life taught you before she died; then maybe they would have respected you more and maybe they#would have listened to you then. or maybe they would have still ignored you but maybe they could have defended themselves#and maybe your daughter would still be alive. and this guts you. and then your husband looks at you take this wound and says#'can you give us a minute?' and shunts you off into a back room and this is the closure you get on this conversation#this isn't a critique btw it's the Nature of actual play and improv; i wouldn't even call it a Flaw#this isn't some Negative i'm pointing out it's just about the way the narrative reacts to this feature and the dynamics it incites#i love angst and drama and i like to peel characters apart like dissection. fascinating to me. <3

<<Farm!Elllie Williams x Fem!Reader>>
Sinopsis: Just a regular night at you farm house, but recently you've been having nightmares. Luckily, you have your girl right besides you to let you know you are safe.
Warning: just fluffy and soft Ellie with a big heart.
"Tess!" You screamed, opening your eyes suddenly.
Your breathing accelerated and your heart beating in your chest, ~for a moment you felt like it was going to come out~.
You sat up on the bed and placed a hand on your chest, while the other one rested on the mattress to help you maintain your balance.
Warm tears began to run down your cheeks just by remembering the nightmare you had had.
Your daughter, your baby, your little world, in the middle of a horde of infected, completely alone and helpless as she screamed for you, and you couldn't do anything to help her.
You had found her one day when you were out hunting. She was wrapped in a blanket next to a stuffed rabbit, completely asleep. There was a note on top of the stuffed animal.
"She's only 2 months old. Please take care of her before it's too late for her as it is for us."
The first time you held her in your arms, you felt as if that baby had automatically taken over a piece of your heart. She opened her eyes and you fell in love with the little one.
You decided to name her after your mother, Joel's smuggling partner who died more than 6 years ago. You loved your mother, and losing her was like losing a part of you. And as you held the little girl in your arms, It was like finding that lost part again.
That was 6 months ago.
You heard someone calling your name next to you in bed and you finally snapped out of your thoughts to turn your head, meeting your lover.
"I'm sorry. Did I wake you up?" You asked Ellie in a whisper.
The green-eyed sat up in bed and cupped your wet cheek.
"The dreams again?" She asked you and you nodded.
"I'm sorry." You said wiping away tears.
"You don't have to apologize for anything, love." She assured you.
You had met Ellie when your mother and Joel were assigned on taking her to the Firefly's base, so they could make her the cure for humanity. That same trip was the one on which your mother died, and the rest is history.
You turned your head to see the crib your daughter was resting in peacefully, two meters away from the bed you and Ellie were on.
You slowly got out of bed and walked towards your baby. Tess was curled up in a ball, a pacifier between her lips that she sucked freely, and the same stuffed rabbit that you had found her with, in her arms.
You were hypnotized watching her, her blonde hair reminded you of your mother, and you smiled slightly when you saw her so healthy and calm, without any worries going through her little head.
A pair of arms were wrapped around your waist, and Ellie's chin rested on your left shoulder. You closed your eyes and enjoyed the small moment.
Those simple gestures from Ellie were what made you fall in love with her. She knew exactly how to make yourself feel safe with a single action.
"I'm really sorry I woke you up." You said and Ellie gave you a kiss on the shoulder.
"It's okay, don't worry." She whispered and you stroked her arms. "I love you, you know that?"
"Yes. You remind me of that every day." You said with a smile. You turned your head and met her beautiful green eyes. "And I like to remind you that I love you much more."
"Don't start a fight you won't win." Ellie said and you both shared a small laugh before turning their eyes to the little girl in the crib. "I love you both, with everything I have." She said and you felt your heart warm.
"And we love you." You assured her.
"I know." Ellie's hands roamed your waist slowly and then positioned themselves on either side of you before guiding you back to the bed. "We have to rest." She dropped you onto the mattress and positioned herself next to you to cup your face.
"I hate those nightmares." You said bitterly.
"Everything is fine. Nothing will happen to Tess or you, I will make sure of that." She told you completely seriously.
You approached her face and left a sweet kiss on her lips, then settled into the crook of her neck and inhaled her aroma, which always brought you calm.
Little by little your breathing became slower and slower to the point that your eyelids became so heavy that you closed them and fell into a deep sleep, while the arms of the love of your life wrapped around you, keeping you warm and safe.
♡♡♡
The next morning, you woke up to the little girl crying. In the night you had moved and ended up with your back against Ellie's chest.
You opened your eyes trying to get used to the sunlight and yawned. Ellie's arms pulled you tighter against her and her breath on your neck gave you goosebumps.
"Love." You called her without getting any response. "Honey, Tess has to eat." You said and this time you heard a small whimper from your girlfriend.
Ellis slowly got up and stretched before getting out of bed.
"I got it." She said and walked slowly to the crib. When she reached it she put her hands on the bars and smiled at the little girl inside. "Good morning, princess." She greeted her, causing the crying to subside. The green-eyed girl took Tess into her arms and gave her a few kisses on her cheeks, making her laugh. "We'll go have breakfast and let mommy take a hot shower." Ellie said and then looked at you with a smile. "Say bye to mommy, Tess."
The little girl looked at you with her big eyes and you smiled at her, while she looked at you and let out a shout of joy, making you laugh.
Ellie left with Tess in her arms, leaving you alone. You went to the bathroom and took your time in the hot water, relaxing your tense muscles and simply enjoying the moment alone, knowing that your girls were waiting for you in the kitchen.
You dried yourself and when your hair was damp but not dripping, you went back to the room. You stole a light blue shirt from Ellie and put on some baggy gray pants.
When you went down to the kitchen you found a scene straight out of a movie. Ellie with the frying pan in her right hand, while holding the little blonde with her left arm.
She was dancing back and forth to the music that came from the record player, while Tess watched attentively as the green-eyed flipped the pancake, and the little one ended up clapping and laughing.
"I think she really likes watching you cook." You said walking closer.
They both turned their heads. Tess extended her arms asking you to pick her up, and Ellie passed her to you without a problem.
"We were already missing you." Your girlfriend said, turning back to continue cooking the pancakes.
You smiled and looked at your daughter who was now touching your left cheek with her hand. You could feel her hand was somewhat drooling, meaning she had put it in her mouth, and you laughed.
"Do you like watching mama cook, baby?" You asked and Tess laughed.
"Of course she likes to watch me cook. I'm quite a show." Ellie responded.
"You have a very cocky mother." You said softly towards the baby, but loud enough for the auburn-haired to hear.
"Hey!" She said turning around again and you just laughed and took Tess to the dining room table.
A few minutes later, Ellie appeared in the dining room with a plate of stacked pancakes, a jug of orange juice, and Tess's bottle. She left everything on the table and sat next to you.
"I see you woke up feeling like pampering." You said amused.
"All for my girls." She said the same way. You sat Tess on your lap and took the lid off the bottle full of warm milk to start feeding her.
Tess's little hands grabbed the bottle over yours and she drank the milk slowly and peacefully.
Ellie decided that today she wanted to spoil you completely. After last night's altercation, the aurbun-haired wanted you to clear your head and know that you were not alone.
She began to cut pieces of pancakes and poked one with her fork to bring it closer to your mouth. You smiled at her and opened wide so Ellie could start feeding you.
As you chewed, a drop of honey slipped across your lips and ran slowly down your chin. Ellie ran her thumb over the area, looking at you with love eyes.
You knew in that moment that you didn't want to be anywhere else but there. Not because you were surrounded by nature, animals and music. But because you were with the two people who made you the happiest, and you would have them forever.
C: hey guys! Carm here. Just wanted to let you know some things. First of all, english is not my first language so im really sorry if smt is not written correctly. Second, I'm not some Allan Poe haha. I'm just doing this for fun, ~as i think most poeple are~, so please be kind because we are here to have a great time. And third, if you have any ideas or recommendations im always open to hear you guys.
Rememeber to stay hydrated, sleep well ~with Ellie~, watch an episode of your fav tv show, and masturbate to get to know your body.
XOXO

she was as pure as snow, untouched by man, not yet trampled or turned into slush. her father sought to that daily, to ensure his daughter was ‘safe’. but safe doesn’t mean loved. she got her loving from outside sources, like maple spouts in the woods, going out with her girls, or in this case, the loving lap of an outlaw.
she’s sitting on his right thigh while the outlaw, named billy, is continuing his game of poker. a game she’ll never understand, her father deemed that an unnecessary topic for a lady to learn. but what did he even deem?
she’s giggling and offering her thanks to every compliment that floats her way, she can’t outrun them. they’ll always find her in a frilly pink dress. the pit in her stomach feels as if every compliment and disdainful comment adds ten pounds, until she’s swallowed up and feels like a piece of meat.
but billy wouldn’t let that happen. what’s different about billy is that he cares, he cares if she’s uncomfortable, he cares when she’s upset over her overbearing father, and he even wills himself to care when she complains about something that would never bother him. her champagne problems.
she’s sitting on her blush pink bedspread and fidgeting with whatever laid on her shelf. she was grounded, again, for coming home after sunset. billy and her simply lost track of time, but he’d never pay for it. right as she begins to spiral into the boredom and weigh the merits of suicide, a small tap against her window reaches her ears.
her face lights up at the noise and she rushes to unlock her window and swing it open. her room was on the ground floor but it was still a jump for him, his long legs stepping in as quietly as possible. her arms found purchase around his waist as she lightly jumped up and down. “billy! i was gettin’ so damn bored. my father grounded me again so i’m stuck here.” he sucked on his teeth and set his hat down on your desk before taking a seat on your bed and laying back.
“his mistake, leavin’ his pretty daughter alone with the maids while he’s out shooting my friends? better hope’d i’m not next on his list.” his voice is honey to your ears, making you skin feel warmer and leaving your stomach fluttering. it was bound to happen whenever he was around.
she sat next to him and their thighs touched before she realized how gruesomely underdressed she was. in only a sheer sleeping gown with her thin robe, she panicked. he’d only seen her in her full gowns. covered head to toe, yet here she was in front of him. he wasn’t even looking at her, his eyes closed and his head faced towards the ceiling.
“i tried convincing him that it’s not the sheriffs job to chase after you, better save him the face when you get away.” her voice is small while she studies his outfit. it’s different than usual, he was wearing a different shirt. and his boots were free of the mud and caked manure. did he clean up for her? he hummed an agreement and chuckled at her comment.
“did you…did you clean up to come see me, billy?” she says in a teasing tone while poking his shoulder. he covers his face and groans rolling away from her as she laughs and pulls him back. he uncovers his eyes and looks up at her. she just looks so pretty and clean. he’s almost scared he’ll break her- as if she’s porcelain.
she takes his hand in hers and soothingly rubs her thumb back and forth. “that’s really sweet that you cleaned up. adorable, actually.” there it is again, she says something like that and his stomach is doing flips. “well, they do call me the sweetest man in the west for a reason.” he manages to sound confident but internally he might as well as died.
she lays down next to him and props her head up on her hand. god, the way her hair falls, the way the candles behind her make her look like some biblical figure, and the way she somehow always manages to get a laugh out of him.
“i know you’re scared of my father and all but i really like spending time with you, billy. you’re different from other men i’ve known. you don’t make me feel like i’m heading for the butcher. you make me feel really happy.” she whispers out, acting as if she raised her voice he might disappear.
he ignores the ‘other men i’ve known’ to cease the bubbling jealousy inside of his chest. he props his head up the same way as her until they’re eye-to-eye. his free hand goes to fiddle with the lace of her robe as he’s trying to will himself to look into her eyes, like she’s a prettier medusa.
“you’re playing a dangerous game, angel. troubles gonna follow where i go. but i have loved every second i’ve spent with you and i’d like them to never end. my life isn’t safe for you though, you’ll get hurt and it’ll probably drive me to murder.” he jokes at the end but his words still soaked into herskin like a warm brandy.
she sits up and leans her face into his, gently meeting his lips. it was only for a second, but she was on fire. his hand reaches the back of her, braided and curled as usual, and pushes her lips back onto his. his hands cupping the sides of her face. so gentle. like a man should be.
she pulls the hem of her dress up and moves to straddle him, not breaking the kiss, which is heating up and he’s beginning to kiss down her neck when her door flys open “miss, do you have any-” her maid is stood in the door with a look of shock and the tomatoes she was previously holding ended up on the floor.
the girl scrambled up and grabbed the maids shoulders “don’t tell father about this and i swear to god i will do your work for a week, i’ll even pay you just please, please, do not tell father.” the maid nods slowly and picks up the tomatoes. a small smile playing at her lips.
billy’s covering his face and she was about to comfort him but he started laughing. genuinely clutching his stomach laughing, and she joined him. she sank to her knees on the floor and just laughed. “do you think she’ll really make you do her work for a week?” he managed to wheeze out. she holds her head in her hands and nods “oh, definitely! she never wants to work anyways.”
they were gravely embarrassed and her father will definitely find out, but at the end of the day, it’s always billy.

Being a woman on the losing side of a war was never a good thing. Death always followed war, but so did marriage. and Marriage was what you now found yourself facing. Though you had begged for death, the greens deemed it fit for Rhaneyras only daughter to marry Aego.
as a means to oppress the remaining black loyalists.
With Heleana having taken her own life after the detah of both her sons, Jaeherys and Maelor. Aegon found himself without a wife.
And with only a daughter to succeed him, the small council feared another dance should Jaeheara be heir, so they agreed a marriage between you and Aegon would suit the realm.
Though you disagreed, you had been a prisoner in the red keep for longer than you can remember. Having been dragged to the keep by Aemond after Luke's death. Aemond would visit often. You wewre forced to listen and watch as Aegon ruled, as they ridiculed your mothers everymove. You would hear about the death of each of your family through gaurds taunts.
You had seen freedom for half a year when your mother finally achieved her birthright. Had met Cregan, the man who you was supposed to marry.
And then you heard of Aemonds death. Daemon had killed him and died himself. You and he had once considered yourself inlove. Even planned to run away and marry. But after what he did to Luke, those feelings changed and the love and longing turned to hate and anger. And with his detah came relief. She felt one step closer to her mother being safe on the throne.
And then Aegon returned and killed your mother. Burned her alive.
You had witnessed it all, as guards held you back.
Then two weeks later your own grandsire, Coryls Veleryon, came and told you of the plans, the plans he agreed with and even proposed.
He was the only visitor she had had. She had no Aemond to visit her, to eat with ehr even if all she did was spit angry words in his direction.
Then today, after over a moon, you were dragged from your bed and forced before Aegon in the throne room.Your mothers burnt body laid in front of you, wrapped in sheets as if to hide what Aegon had done to her. and your youngest brother, Aegon the younger, in chains.
The green council tood and told you what they demanded, Crolys the main voice among them. It was clear you had no choice but to accept their demands. marry Aegon and become queen, her brother's life will be spared and warded in Oldtown until he was four and ten. If she refused, he would become just like thre dead mother. A burnt body. And she would be dragged down the aisle anyway.
she needed her brother Aegon, he was the only family she had left and it killed her that he would grow up in the hands of the greens, but then again so would her children. The heirs the small council had demanded they have, if not Aegons life would be forfeit.
The small council had left, leaving her and Aegon alone, bar the few guards that remained.
Aegon called your name, he seemed nervous, tired even.
He wore the conqueror's crown, it suited him, though it was not his. But it was clear that the weight of it was more than the weight of the rubys. A weight Aegon ahd once told her he feared.
He coughed, bringing you back from your thoughts. “Your grandsire informed me that he told you of our plans over a moon ago”
You nodded.
“I know this is not what you wanted… that i am not who you wanted, or even - or even the brother you wanted-” he stood up and made his way towards her “but this is for the good of the realm”
You scoffed “of course it is Aegon, no one wants another war.”  Everyone knew why you were marrying, it was to be a front of the greens and blacks uniting, of her bending the knee. “I am the spoils of war, Aegon. And when it comes to victory the victor always keeps his prize. And I am your prize Aegon. Not that i had a choice” you tunrened to leave, done with this, you had time. Time to get a letter to Cregan. Some servants were still loyal, surely?
Aegon once again called your name “we wed on the morrow”
Then again, the greens were smart enough to win a war, of course they were smart enogh to marry her fast.
Aegon had alwasy hoped to wed her. And he had hope for this marriage, but not hope for a happy marriage. though he had once hoped to wed her instead of Helaena, and now he was forcing her to marry him. But he did hope it’ll end the war. Hoped that Cregan Stark would stop his attacks and surrender, submit to him and not launch the realm into another war.  they had lost too much as it was.
Aegon felt sorry for her. He felt alone but she truley was. Her only family would soon be torn from her and she would be stuck with them, and married to him.
It had never been him for her, though it had always been her for him. from doing everything to gain her attention, bullying Aemond so she would see him as the better brother, from begging his mother and even his father to marry her and not Helaena. From bedding whores who were her doubles.
But for you it has always been Aemond, always been him even when he killed your brother, Aemond still spoke as if you two were soon to wed and that you and him were utterly in love. He  had never got your attention, not the way Aemond had.
He called your name again, you were numb, eyes and face void of any emotion. “did you hear me?!” he asked more sternly.
you nodded your head, looking down. “ I understand Aegon.” you said his name so sweetly and yet it was filled with such hate. you had yet to call him King, had yet to fully bend the knee to him.
he sighed “you will have to bend the knee to me before and the lords of the realm… they have all been summoned for the wedding. where we shall pledge our souls together and you shall pledge your allegiance.”
you gritted your teeth, you had never been stubborn, always a people pleaser, but when it came to this you were being… difficult.
he sighed, going to speak again before you snapped your head up. He was close, close enough to reach out and take her hands in his. To hold her close. To-
“Fine! But you must swear to me Aegon.. That my brother will be safe. I - i do not want him in oldtown, send him somewhere anywhere but there. I will only bend the knee if he is safe, and i will make sure he does aswell, and that he sticks to it, if you swear he will not be killed!”
“Of course, i- he is my nephew, and as it stands my heir- it is in the crowns best interest to protect him. Doing otherwise would-”
“Risk war” she finished for him. “I make no rpomises for the marriage, but is shall do my duty.”
It hurts, duty. Their marriage, the marriage he had hjoped for being just a duty. Being a consolation prize for winning a war his mother and grandsire planned and plotted his whole life. And her turning around and storming through the door straight away hurt even more.
She had been given a dress. It was ivory and It was…beautiful.
She had expected green. Something obvious. To get the greens point across. But she supposed the wedding got it across enough.
The wedding was packed, lords and ladies from all over westros, lords and ladies from both the blacks and the greens.
Her grandsire walked her down the Asile.
Aegon stood up there, in ivory, with matching patterns to her gown. He smiled at her. He looked happy as if he had waited for this day. As if she and him were lovers finally getting there wedding day.
The ceremony was fast, a copy and paste of the dozens of weddings she had attend
They had stood before each other, in the eys of the realm and the gods. There hands joined togther, eyes locked. It was intense and fast. Then she was maade to kneel before him, and as she knelt he placed a crown on her hesd, naming her his queen consort.
There was relief throughout the kingdom the night. There wedding celebration turning into toasts and dances of peace.
And before she knew it, it was time for the bedding ceremony.
She was nervous. She knew it would hurt somewhat. Her mother had always had told her. And told her all she would need to know. Ahd reassured her that on her wedding day she would be there, smiling and dancing as she married her love. And yet her mother was dead. Her brothers dead. Rhanea and Beala were at driftamark, univinted as if them coming would prevent the wedding from happnning. And she was not marrying her love, she was marrying her duty. Marrying for peace. And yet when Aegon looked into her eyes as they stood for the bedding ceremony she flet at peace, calm, as if eveything was snapping into place.
He took her hand in his and kissed it, before moving to step down and leave.
Aegon had ordered for no escorts top there chambers, no servants or maids. It was just them.
And for the first time in who knows how long she felt like she could breath.
Aegon looked towards you, cupping your face with his hands, caressing your cheeks. he was nervou, his eyes gave that away. “i’m sorry if this is not the wedding you wanted, or the husband, but i want you to know that you are the wife i have always wanted. i understand why you could never love me back. i have done terrible things to your family and i-“
“not tonight Aegon you begged, “for tonight let us be husband and wife, tommorow you can be King Aegon, the Aegon who did all of those things, but tonight we forget. you will make me forget” you begged.
Aegon responsed ,not with words but by surging forward with a kiss. Unlike the one in the sept, were it was quick chaste. this was filled with passion, filled with Aegons love for you. There  mouths moulded together, his tounge teasing your  lip until you finally got the hint and opens for him. she was inexperienced, it was obvious, but you caught on quick. even quicker when his kisses started trailing from your mouth, to your  jaw and then to your  neck, moving further down until they reached your shoulders. he looked up then, his hand moving to the back of your dress, reaching for the corset. reaching for his laces he gave a soft kiss to your  shoulder, before removing the laces to her gown., your dress slowly dropped to the floor, pooling around your ankles. leaving your in your shear underclothes.
“gods”Aegon moaned, before diving back down to kiss your neck and working his way back up to your mouth. you moved your ah do to his shoulders, relaxing more into the kisses, allowing yourself to bask in the pleasure.
Aegon moved down one more, this time he didn’t stop at your shoulder, but moved down your your breast. taking your nipple into his mouth, and moaning at the taste. you yourself moaned in pleasure, you had done some stuff with Aemond, mainly kissing, some touching, even had his head between your thighs. but tonight felt differ t, it was not a differ t lind of pleasure, but a feeling. with Ameond it was forbidden, but with Aegon, he was your husband and deep down it felt right.
moving away from your breasts aemond pressed another kiss to your lips, before taking a step back. you watched as he did, removing his jacket and then his tunic, leaving him topless before you. he was not toned or leaned as Aemond was, but a bit chubby. And yet she found even hotter than the toned body you  had once knew so well.
Aegon continued stepping back, but not before taking your hand in his and pulling you with him, towards the bed.
He turned you around, allowing your back of your beds to hit the bed. sitting in the bed Aegon thought you a vision, even more so whn you shyly reached  for your small clothes and pulled them off over your head. you were perfect.
he moaned at the sight, before reaching down and pressing his mouth to yours, his hands reaching down to caress your body, the feeling filled with care.
“Aegon?” you spoke up, causing Aegon to lean back and stop.
“what? are you ok?” he asked
you nodded, reaching forward to his breeches, searching for the laces. Aegon let out a laugh, before moving back to take them off. “better?” he asked. you nodded.
he leant down and gave you a kiss before getting in his knees and spreading your legs. he looked up at you a gleam o his eyes, before moving forward, and devouring you. his tounge circling your clit. his hands moved up your legs, leaving goosebumps in there wake. his fingers moved up towards your heat, his fingers teasing your opening. slowly he entered his finger, gods you were right, unexplored.
pumping in and out of you, you let out moans of pleasure, your peak etching closer and closer, before taking you over whole.
Aegon moved back, wiping his face in the bed sheets, before standing up.
you looked at him, dazed.
“we don’t have to go any further-“ you interrupted him.
“i want too” you spoke, almost begging.
he nodded, moving you back, further into the bed.
Moving between your thighs, he pushed in slowly and carefully.
you felt so full, uncomfortable, before it turned quickly into pleasure. Aegon moved slowly, pumping you full, his body pressed against yours, kissing you deeply. before moving faster, harder. moans filled the room, the pleasure over taking them you both as you once again reached your peak, and Aegon let go, filling you with his seed.
Aegon collapsed further into you, both your breath heavy.
“gods” you sighed. and Aegon nodded in agreement.
As the years passed since your wedding to Aegon.
you knew you would never forgive him for what he had down, never love him, not like he loved you.
but you were civil, appeasing. paining the picture of the perfect wife. And Wegon grew more in love.
but deep down you knew that you would never love him, or forgive him, and some part of you would always long for Cregan or mother black loyalist to rise up and name your brother king.
But as you grew older, and had five children, all the image of Aegon, that that day would never come. not as your children grew older. As Jaheara and Aegon wed, and had children of there own.
And when aegon died at the age of 56, from a summer fever, believing you had forgiven him and loved him, you realised that the greens had won. Even as you watched your son be crowned king, and his son after him.
You never got your happy ending, but the history books would right that you did. That all along you were a green. Switching form one brother to the other.
when in reality you still felt alone, and though you died surrounded by your grandchildren and great grandchildren, you died feeling alone, still feeling like the spoils of war.

•─────•°•❀•°•──── ᴍᴀᴛꜱᴜʀɪ ────•°•☁︎•°•────•
“Goddamnit!” you groan, as you fiddle with your violin. (LMAO PUN!! sorry)
Your fingers ached, as you tried to nail down the pizzicato run at the top of the page. However, your fingers refused to move with the fluency they used you, and you felt the calluses starting to develop on the surface of your fingertips.
Self-teaching yourself to play the violin was a pain in the ass, but you were determined to go to a performing arts school once you graduated junior high.
The only problem?
Your father was Shota Aizawa, underground pro hero Eraser Head, and was not only a pro, but also a teacher at UA High School- one of the top schools for pro heroes in training.
You loved your father to the ends of the earth, as he did you, considering your small family only consisted of the two of you, your mother having died during childbirth. Aizawa, only 19 at the time, struggled with the loss of his lover, but you helped him get through it.
You were his pride and joy, the perfect combination of his love and himself, his precious daughter.
Nothing you could do could make him hate you.
And you knew that, but your insecurities were bigger.
What if he wanted you to become a pro hero like him?
In all honesty, you didn’t see that future for yourself. It was an honorable job, one that you knew was very important, and a job many children wished to have in the future, and yet, that was never your dream.
Pro heroes went out every day, fighting with their lives on the line, patrols constantly, dealing with paparazzi, not to mention the
paperwork
It wasn’t that you weren’t ambitionless, no, certainly not, but it wasn’t something you found passion in.
But to be fair, if you were successful in your career path, there would sure be a lot of paparazzi either way.
You were set on following a path into the performing arts, but it was always a little disheartening whenever you heard your Uncle Hizashi or Auntie Nemuri go “Awww Y/N! You’re going to be an amazing pro hero when you’re older, so kind and so determined”
You knew they meant well, but still.
Sighing you set down your violin, gently setting it down in your case and safely securing you bow in before tucking it underneath your bed. That’s where most of your instrumental arsenal lived, all compact and tucked away, awaiting your every musical whim.
You worked tirelessly to earn enough money for each of your instruments for the past two years, combing through online marketplaces and sales to find decently priced quality instruments.
Grabbing your keyboard and setting it up, your fingers find their way to ivory keys that played a sequence you knew well.
The notes left your fingers immediately, music filling your bedroom walls as a stream of tunes flow like a waterfall, smooth and connected, and yet, somehow still intense in its own way.
Music is a form of communication, you always thought. The right notes paired together convey moods, thoughts, feelings. It always amazed you how something as simple as sequential pitches could convey something words never could.
Ai shika kanjitaku mo nai (I don't want to feel anything but love) you sang, letting yourself get lost in the music.
Mou nan no wakehedate mo na (There's no difference anymore)
Matomete kakatte kinasai (Please call all at once)
Ima nara subete uketomeru kara (I'll accept everything now)
~
You finish the song with a resounding chord, the room eerily quiet without any music flowing through it, until a slow clap breaks the silence.
“Well, what do we have here?”
You jump in surprise, scrambling away from the keyboard to see your father standing in the doorway of your room, the look on his face unreadable.
You turn bright red and feel your heart sink.
You never told your father about your dreams and aspirations for the future- what would be say now?
You steel yourself, taking in a deep breath.
Calm down, Y/N. He wouldn’t disown you because you don’t want to be a pro. And plus, it’s my life! I should have a say in what I want to do. You think to yourself.
“Dad, I don’t want to be a pro hero...” you mumble out, refusing to look at him. “I want to be a musician, or a singer! I really like music and it just...really makes me happy.”
He doesn’t say anything for a few seconds, and you think with a sinking heart that he’s furious, but then a chuckle is heard, almost deafening in the silent room.
“Oh, thank god.” he exhales in relief, leaving you staring at him, dumbfounded.
“Y-You’re not mad...?” you ask, extremely confused.
“Oh no, of course not hime - don't even think that. I'm so sorry you felt like you couldn't tell me anything. ” he says, and you’re put at ease. “Everyday, pro heroes go through pain and hardships to try to save the people of this world.”
He sighs “Many pros lose their sanity and fall into an abyss of depression and despair because it’s too much for them. “he looks at you, his eyes genuine and sincere. “I don’t want that life for you.”
You hug him, and his arms wrap around you comfortingly.
“I love you dad.”
“I love you too, hime.”
Then he pulls away with a sly grin on his face. “So, you gonna show me what you’ve been working on?”
Your face flushes and you shove his arm playfully.
“Dad!”

whatever the hell we want // bellamy blake x reader
summary: reader didn’t care much for living, the eldest blake sibling made it worthwhile, even enjoyable
warnings: angst, suicidal thoughts/ideation, swearing
word count: 1908
a/n: this one is a bit heavy. i was having a bad day so i will apologize for turning the cutesy “how did bellamy and reader meet” request into this emotional abomination (sorry)
you probably should have been excited to be on the ground. it was that or being floated–tossed into a lock sealed door, trapped, and taunted with the faces of whatever loved ones chose to say goodbye (you didn’t have to worry about that, the only family you had, you met in lock up–your bio dad, marcus kane, was awful and on days that ended in ‘y’, you opted to pretend he didn’t exist) before another door would open and you’d be sucked out into space. the little oxygen in your lungs would tear them apart. what had sustained you for so long would then be your downfall. what you needed to breath would kill you.
you’d be so hot, so hot as your blood boiled and so hot as you died, staring out at the stars you loved so much. you were nineteen, the oldest prisoner to be alive and on the arc, but even kane’s powers had their limits. in three days you would be floated. three days until that would be your fate and still.
still.
when you woke up on that dropship you were pissed. it was the first thing you were mad about.
with a forever fuck-it attitude, you unbuckled your seat. floating around with a few others you ignored your best friend when she told you “sit back down, dumbass!” you cracked a grin and then the lights flickered.
while entering the new atmosphere something went wrong—something malfunctioned. maybe the shutes didn’t deploy or maybe you were just lucky but when the screaming started, you didn’t hear it for more than a few seconds because you were flung into one of the metal walls, just above the seats, and your vision spotted before going disappearing completely. sounds dulled, everything dulled. you were probably dying, you smiled because of that
when you landed, you woke up. that was the second thing you were mad about.
you were suspended in the air in some kind of fabric. It wasn’t uncomfortable or anything, not until you attempted to stretch your stiff limbs and found the material twisting. it spat you out on the ground and you made a noise. it bubbled from the back of your throat, expressing your obvious upset, you lifted your hand to touch your cheekbone–it was throbbing and you had the vague memory of your face slamming into the dropship wall. at fucking nineteen, you weren’t supposed to have to deal with any of this. you should’ve been floated a long damn time ago, would’ve like to have been too. you were the oldest prisoner on the ark, only alive because of who your daddy was. the daughter of marcus kane (you hate him as much as the next person) you’d been spared. he tended to get what he wanted.
where you lie, a boy does across from you on another makeshift bed. you lean over him, study him. He has some features you recognize. freckles and long eyelashes. you’re peering over him, observing, when those eyelashes lift and he’s blinking up at you. you scoot backwards not wanting to bang heads (yours was quite tender).
the hand that you have been absentmindedly feeling around your face with, came away with no blood coating, “i’m ocatavia’s brother, bellamy.” bellamy blake, okay. you’d heard of him and despite never meeting him before, the stories octavia had told you, mostly about how he protected her and made life under the floor less horrendous, you decided he was safe.
you glance at him, not all that hesitant. your best friend was a force and if she left you alone, in here, with him, he was trustworthy. your lips are pressed into a tight line. you don’t need to introduce yourself, he already knows. of course he does. you assure yourself he knows because you’re his little sister’s best friend and not because you’re kane’s daughter, the one who killed a man and got away scot free. you had a damn good reason but the ark’s justice system was lacking.
you tell yourself he isn’t judging you, he doesn’t look like he is, but you know you deserve to be judged so it’s a losing battle.
you glance down at your wrist and see it’s bare. the band that transmits your vitals to the ark is missing, and when you look at his wrist, you realise he isn’t wearing one either. “lost in the rough landing?” you ask, with a lilt to your voice.
his shoulders shake as he laughs a little. “something like that.”
you sit back up and climb back into your hammock. this time your hands are both out beside you to stabilise yourself. it’s quiet for a moment, the tent dark enough you know it’s night time. “why’d you take it?” you asked, unable to stop your curiosity.
“the ark hasn’t done anything for us. they sent us down here to die, because we’re expendable. in their eyes we’re just repaying them.”
oh. so your dad probably thinks you’re dead right now. that doesn’t unsettle you as much as it would the average person–actually you don’t mind it at all. let him learn what it means to fail, to lose, in some permanent way. let him face the brunt of the consequences his actions wrought for once. maybe this sentence would be the one to ruin him.
you stare at the pitch of the tent. are we on earth right now? is it safe? did the others survive? what happens now? your mind is flooded with questions.
“you think loudly.” bellamy informs.
“i’ve been out for awhile, huh?” in response, he nodded. “is it okay? is everyone okay?”
“they are. you almost weren’t though. that stunt you pulled? it was a whole different level of dumb.”
it’s peaceful until sunrise when the screaming starts. Guttural moans and groans echo from within the camp. “That’s jasper,” bellamy supplies while you’re rubbing your head, all but pleading with the ache to subside.
then octavia’s bursting through the tent flaps, “i knew i heard voices!” she pulls you outside with her and just… woah. everything is brighter. unlike the monotones on the ark there’s all kinds of colours. blue sky, green tress. they’re so green and so many different shades. light, dark, sage, evergreen. you’ve never seen anything so beautiful, other than your stars. you miss them, and looking up at the sky you can’t see them only clouds–white floating cotton that moves with the wind. you’re on earth and you don’t know if you belong here but in all fairness you didn’t belong on that spaceship either. the only place you thought might be a good fit for you was now miles upon miles away. a good thing, if you asked octavia.
the “whatever the hell we want” movement was one you supported quickly and joined even quicker. bellamy and his buddies at its forefront you figured, why not. you liked to fight, so thats what you did. you threw punches and received them and slaps to the face. It satiated you need to self destruct and would until bellamy or octavia intervened. you didn’t quite care for danger and took as many guard and patrol shifts as you could. you liked carrying a weapon, liked exploring, and hated being cooped up and confined.
you were walking away from the wall, alone this time, with no particular destination in mind. sometimes you brought octavia with you but she was busy talking and flirting (not in that particular order) her brother never liked when she joined in on your adventures so it was probably better that she wasn’t with you.
“not dragging my sister along with you this time?” a familiar voice chided. bellamy blake. speak of the devil and he shall appear.
you shrug your shoulders and continue walking. “not this time, no.”
“hey! come back. where the hell do you think you’re going.”
“i haven’t decided yet. maybe the river. maybe the caves. maybe, it’s none of your business,” you respond dryly, still walking ahead. his hand clamps down on your arm and he stops you from moving further, “what, bellamy? what?” his eyes, alight with fire, something you’ve seen in your best friend once or twice, full of curiosity, and understanding, meet your own. he gazes into your dead ones, takes a look at your blank expression and bends down. a hand grips the backs of your thighs and then he’s picking you up. you’re slung over his shoulder like you weigh nothing and had you not been so emotionally empty you would've been incredibly impressed. “what the hell bellamy? what are you doing?”
“whatever the hell i want, though, that? it doesn’t apply to you anymore, not when you don’t know what you want,”
“i do,” you argue.
“not when what you want isn’t anything good.” he fires back.
and that’s how you met bellamy blake. at first you hated him, hated how he drug you along wherever he went–patrol was nice but he would insist on bringing you everywhere, even on the most pointless errands. to do the most boring things. he made you drag logs to help reinforce the wall and sometimes he didn’t even help. prison warden or friend, who fucking knew?
but bellamy kept you busy. kept you distracted from the brewing storm in your head.
you got used to him. bellamy blake became your new normal and even made you smile a few times, usually when firelight was reflecting off of both of your cheeks as you roasted your dinner. the first time, you sat on a log beside him, your supper sitting inside of the flames, blackening. he went to grab the stick from you–probably guessing you were attempting to light yourself on fire, or that you’d begun to dissociate. you snatch the stick back. “it’s burning,” he warns, voice having a sharp edge.
“sorry if i would rather taste charcoal than two headed, six tailed, mutated squirrel.”
that night he held you. you let him.
close to his chest and away from any and all danger, you slept soundly and dreamlessly for the first time in years. the sleep–it helped with your mood, too.
bellamy held you again. he always liked to hold you—to have a hand in yours or resting on your shoulder. this time, the touch wasn’t comforting, to assure himself that you were real and not going anywhere. this time that physical touch was the only reason you weren’t going anywhere. his grip was tighter, thank god.
the grounders were coming an the only way to stop them or at least to slow them down was to blow up the bridge. you needed to place the bomb but everyone was terrified to let you go, bellamy especially. you did what you had to, sneaking away and setting it. you were scared–you didn’t know when it happened, when you started wanting to live, but it was a soul-deep change that you knew had something to do with the blake siblings. specifically bellamy, who’s companionship you hadn’t wanted but needed more than anything.
you placed the bomb on the bridge and detonated it, running as fast as you could as the moss covered stone crumbled behind you. the structural integrity was giving away and you were so close tot he edge but… you started to fall. you closed your eyes, pressed them shut as tightly as you could and then that hand was there.
bellamy’s. closed around your wrist and holding on for all he was worth. your heart beat so hard in your chest you had to look down to make sure you hadn’t been speared by a grounder, and that it wasn’t leaking out.
you loved him and you were so thankful he never listened to you. when you said you didn’t need him, when earlier, you shouted at him and told him not to follow you–it was a weak distraction but now, he pulled you back onto solid ground and wrapped you in his arms and you had no regrets. none at all. well… you had one, but it was easily rectified.
it was a struggle, pushing him away at the shoulders, holding him at arms length and seeing the worry on his face all over again. it was a struggle but when you stopped regretting things and dove back in, moulding your lips together in a passionate kiss, everything was better. bell’s hand palmed your cheek and pulled you impossibly closer as yours moved through his hair.

Where the Wild Things Are - Chapter 6
Tumblr media
Chapter Six: Cigarette Burns
Plot: Wild men or monstrous infected creatures, the world is wild and ravaged by Cordecyps but some are raised in it and flourish becoming a wild thing.
Word Count: 3.8K
Pairing: Joel Miller x Platonic!Teen!Reader, Ellie Williams x Platonic!Reader
Warnings: canon-typical fighting/violence, injuries, harsh language, tw: near-death experience, trauma from abusive mother, DESCRIPTION OF BURNS
—————
When my time comes around. Lay me gently in the cold, dark earth. No grave can hold my body down
The cold is an enemy to fear more than infected or regular people in this kind of world. You could be in a remote area with no one for hundreds of miles, but the cold is always there. It doesn’t hide or wait for you to call it out, it attacks harshly and violently with no forgiveness. If you don’t have warm enough clothes, shelter, or fire you’re not surviving the night out with Mother Nature. It feels like thousands of needles stabbing into your skin repeatedly, or a numbing sensation that fills your body with panic when you can’t move your limbs. The cold could feel like you are melting it scorching your skin as it brings you to the sweet release of death. Cold isn’t a friend to any it went for everyone and everything, and only walked away knowing that you weren’t going to get back up.
Kansas winters were easier than Wyoming. Having a building to hide and be sheltered from, though run down with limited heat. You became resourceful, the puddle of blankets pushed right next to the heater waiting for the sputters and rattling as the heat flowed through it to get you through the night. The heater right beside the window allows you to gaze up into the sky connecting the stars to create paintings in the inky darkness. You are surprised how much was coming from the heater. It was never on for this long maybe a minute max but it was flowing steadily through.
“Honey?” The airiness of your mother’s voice threw you in a whirlwind not expecting the softness coming from the usual snarl and venom. “Come to bed with Mommy. Aren’t you so cold?” She stands at the doorway to her room holding her hand out as you push yourself up from the makeshift bed of blankets.
“But you don’t like me in your room.” You whisper out to her. It was one of the many things she ordered you to never touch. But her room was the biggest, she didn’t want you stealing anything as she puts it. She gives a soft smile still holding out her hand.
“Come on…daddy and I are waiting for you.” She says and you freeze. Your dad? But you never knew him, he left long before you were even born. A thing she constantly reminds and blames you for.
Ruining my fucking life….I should never have slept with that bastard…should have gotten rid of you the second I found out I was pregnant….bastard child along with a bastard father.
You always wondered what he’d be like, probably kind and strong, someone who would wipe your tears away when you were sad and make you smile from the jokes he would tell. To protect you from your bullies…to keep you safe from your mother. You wished he stayed so he’d take you away and it would be the two of you. But you never expressed those things. You tried asking about your father when you were very young but it only led to her screaming at you, how you were an ungrateful brat, after everything she’s done you wanted to think about being with your father. The guilt she held over your head like a toy twisting and molding it to have her be the perfect mother and you the horrible daughter.
Maybe you are a bad daughter…
Your father didn’t want you and she could have abandoned you too but didn’t. Was it love? You don’t think you knew what love is, whether platonically or romantically so those thoughts died. The idea of a father seemed like a fading thought, the idea seemed unrealistic like it was impossible to exist. Staring at the bedroom door that held your mother…and father waiting for you. To protect you…to love you.
“Come on kid!” A voice yells and your eyes snap open seeing Joel above you. Your body instantly shakes and you feel so cold and the striking pain in your shoulder and neck. It isn’t just the lack of body temperature that is painful each shiver and quake causes your body to ache and that produces more pain in your shoulder. Everything is fuzzy and dim your head feels like a dead weight as it almost lolls back if the man didn’t grab your neck to keep you stable. “Keep your eyes open. You’re alright,” He says before he yells over his shoulder, “Ellie where are those damn blankets!”
“I got them!” A young voice yells out and you see the girl holding a crap ton of blankets that she could barely see where she is walking. Another large shiver racks through your body an instinctive groan of pain as Joel looks over seeing your outerwear is off, your coat, socks, and boots are soaked in snow. The single layer of the long-sleeve shirt was still bleeding heavily and you weren’t even wearing gloves. Your fingers and parts of your face were bright red but he was glad to not see any signs of frostbite but mild symptoms of frostnip. The thick line across your throat from the cable made the flesh raw and irritated. He felt cemented in place trying to think of the next best step but he could only see his little girl in his arms when he had to carry you inside when you passed out from the pain and cold.
“Joel move, find the suture kit, and then get something warm for her drink. Tommy washcloths and gets some wood to start a fire. Ellie watch him.” Maria moves the older man aside before giving her son to the younger girl as she takes over the survival and motherly instincts coming out taking complete control of the situation. Your body practically vibrates from the cold and Maria moves closer you try to pull away but your shoulder makes you wince.
“You’re alright I need to take off your shirt so we can check your wounds. You have something under this?” Her voice is warm and comforting and she could see fear in your eyes surprising her used to sharp and cold ones. After gaining more sense of consciousness and understanding of the situation you were in you nod and she helps you sit up the blankets covering part of your stomach and your legs. Tommy returns with the washcloths and Joel with the suture kit before they return to their second task. Her hands move to your shirt and you stiffen and she waits noticing the uneven rhythm of your breathing before helping take off your shirt. Left in a slightly bloody tank top the shirt now clutched between your hands as you hear Maria’s sharp inhale. The noise drew the attention of the two adults just finishing their duties and the young girl.
Ellie had entered the kitchen with the baby to keep their view away from that finding the man standing there frozen unsure what to make, you couldn’t have coffee it could mess with your heart, and alcohol was out of the question. Joel had seen your aversion to the amber liquid. He hadn’t noticed the tightness in his chest and the ringing in his ears until Ellie grabbed his arm pulling him out of his state of panic.
“Joel..” The girl pulls him from his thoughts as he looks at his surrogate daughter, “You alright?” He wasn’t sure where this sudden state of panic came from. He had watched you ride out after one of the horses, himself and Tommy following after entering the storm urgency in them knowing you had no idea what was out there and you were defenseless. They had heard the large bang that sent fear through both brothers before the horses appeared without the rider. Joel headed off where they came from while Tommy wrangled the creatures. He had arrived just before it was too late seeing you being choked by a raider quickly shooting the one that was suffocating you seeing the damage you committed to the other raider. You had almost attacked him the fear and adrenaline probably overdosing your veins seeing the cold affecting you and the speckles of blood on your face.
It was that same fear in your eyes that he’d seen before. The years ago when Ellie had been kidnapped he was too late to rescue her from losing her innocence as she killed her captor, but the same fear that night all those years ago as his little girl clutched his arms as the life faded from her. He saw that same fear in your eyes and it sent him into a panic like he was reliving a horrid memory where he just kept failing. The nightmares he couldn’t remember when he woke up though he didn’t have them as often but when you came into his life they seemed to return. You are harsher and ruthless, everything he was during the beginning of the end of the world but you were only a kid. Tainted with the basics of childhood and thrust into the hate and death of the world. There are many things he wanted to know; how did you end up in Wyoming from Kansas, did you lose your parents during your travels, he wanted to know everything that there was about you. This draw and connection he didn’t think he’d feel. You are blunt, crude, aggressive, and an annoyance to him but here he stood panicking over you.
Why?
“I don’t think we have anything…to um..drink.” He says forcing himself to take a shaky inhale to calm his rapid heartbeat. Ellie seems to sense the panic and see the softness in the man’s eyes. Despite it being about a year in Jackson Joel was still a recluse, sure he helped around the community being a contractor in his past but he wasn’t one to make friends. He spoke in short phrases, grunts, and nods when people talked to him. It reminded her of someone she knew. He only really cracked a smile or told those dumb jokes around his brother or Ellie, and sometimes Maria. But you are here and she saw the softness as he held you in his arms bringing you inside or when he spoke to you before he was sent off into the kitchen. Ellie moves through the kitchen opening a cabinet reaching into the far back feeling the bag of treats she has hidden pulling out the bag of chocolatey goodness then to a fridge pulling out some milk. She puts the objects in Joel’s hands as he looks at them confused.
Ellie points at the chocolate and the milk, “Put that in there and heat it up, it’s good. It’s called-” “I know what hot chocolate is.” Joel grunts surprised to see the candy it looks handmade as he gets to work. He remembers a time when he made these during Christmas with small marshmallows and using candy canes to stir, even on rainy days watching a movie, or during sick days knowing they always warmed up Sarah making her feel better from whatever illness was affecting her. It was domestic and normal standing over the stove watching the milk heat up as he stirred the broken pieces of chocolate to melt once warm enough pouring it into a mug. He enters the room with the younger girl and his nephew and hears Maria’s sudden inhale and panic rises in him.
“What is it?” Tommy asks heading towards his wife stopping and his eyes widen taken over by shock. Joel was more panicked and Ellie was curious about what was going on as she and Joel took in what was shocking Maria and Tommy. They all noticed the scars that litter your arms, they expected something from someone who protected themselves out in this fucked up world. But they were crude the scars probably worse than the injury with the suture work you likely performed on yourself, but that wasn’t the scar and injury that had caught Maria’s attention and soon drew all theirs as Ellie tried understanding what a group of scars on your arms were.
“What is that?” Ellie questions the dot-shaped scars and Joel feels a sickness fill his stomach, “Are those burns?” She says that the adults in the room who did live in a normal world at one point recognize the scars that could only be caused by an object that was used by frequently stressed-filled parents with sticks of nicotine.
“Ellie take Liam upstairs. Now.” Joel’s voice is harsh and the teen tries to protest but with the look Joel gives her she doesn’t dare to defy taking the young baby upstairs the door to her room closing. Tommy stands up holding a fist to his mouth trying to hold in his rage.
“Jesus fucking Christ.” Tommy spits the anger thick in his voice “Tommy.” Joel gives a warning tone to his younger brother.
“It’s fucking cigarette burns Joel. Christ,” Tommy wipes his hands down his face, “Those have to be years old.” You frown at Tommy's pacing vibrating with frustration and rage. The younger Miller seems to have noticed your look bending down to your level, “I’m not mad at you kid it’s just…you didn’t deserve this whoever did this to you.” You look away from the male using part of the shirt to cover your arms the small burns covered your forearms but the damage was already done they had seen it. Maria starts grabbing the needle and thread but you try stopping her.
“I can do it,” You look ashamed seeing their pity in their faces, “I don’t need your help.” Maria shakes her head.
“Just let me do this for you or we’re getting the doctor.” She places the final offer but you’re trying to pull your shirt back on biting your lip to stop the groan of pain and the once-clotted blood begins free-flowing. Joel curses grabbing one of the washcloths and presses it to your shoulder.
“Stop it! I don’t need your help!” You yell trying to pull away but it only creates more pain for you. “Stop it kid. You can’t see the full extension of it and your previous work isn’t a good show of trust,” Joel says and you glare up at him.
“Please kid, you’ve been bleeding for a while.” Tommy pleads and the rational side that wishes to live wins out but the more pissed off side doesn’t go down easy.
“I don’t want you here.” You say and Tommy sighs but if that was what got you to comply he gets up heading towards the stairs. You look over at Joel who hasn’t moved, “You too. I don’t fucking need you, Joel.” You hiss and for a second you feel guilty seeing his concern reveal slight hurt before it’s quickly covered by the mean expression constantly on his face. Joel nods stiffly moving out of the living room past his brother the door to his room slamming shut while Tommy makes his way to Ellie’s room to see his son.
The living room is quiet except for the occasional grunt of pain from you when the needle pierces through your skin and a murmur of apologies from Maria. Holding one of the washcloths to wipe away stray blood that spills Maria sits behind you as you sit sideways on the couch. Your gaze is drawn to the falling snow from the window in the living room counting the flakes that made contact with the glass.
“You know you should talk about it.” Maria speaks up and she watches your shoulders stiffen at her words before she continues, “You had us worried when Tommy and Joel watched you rush after that horse.” It’s quiet and she isn’t even sure if you heard what she said.
“We only want what’s best for you and seeing these kinds of injuries on your body. I worry Tommy worries, Ellie worries, even Joel. Especially Joel.” She says and a mixture of a scoff and laugh comes from you.
“What do you know what’s best for me…you’ve kept me here for your safety.” You say, “If you wanted to you could have killed me already so no one would find this place.” It was true if this had been any situation and you had stumbled upon them you would have been six feet under by now, but they met you, they came to the cabin, they decided to bring you back and help you. You could have bled out in that cabin if they had left when you told them to.
“And we didn’t because we are trying to bring back a sense of normalcy here. If we just killed people left and right we would be no better than those raiders after you,” Maria says and you hiss slightly from the needle entering your flesh. “In case you hadn’t noticed everyone in this building cares about you. And no matter how much you curse or say you don’t need our help. Deep down there’s a part of you that wants to let us in to ask for help.”
Maria lets silence fill the two of you as she continues her sewing and you don’t seem to even flinch at the pain. “It’s my fault anyway.” You say and Maria glances over your shoulder seeing you grip the bloody washcloth between your hands.
“I got myself in that mess and I found out what happened….I fucked around and I found out.” Your voice was thick tracing each burn on your arms with your eyes each ranging from light scar tissue from how long it's been others just as old darken from how long the butt of the stick pressed into your flesh. The young screams still echo in your ears as your arm was held to the table when it first happened just to get hit for crying. You learned quickly to not cry when she gave you that punishment.
“And who said it was your fault cause those don’t look like just a one-time occurrence.” Maria presses wanting to hear a name or someone. She prays whoever did this was long dead or suffering a horrible life. You felt a tightness in your throat at the question. You can still smell the nicotine and liquor on her breath the harsh grip of her nails breaking the skin with her warnings.
“Tell anyone and you’re going to wish you were never born.”
She isn’t here she couldn’t do anything. As much as you knew she was long gone Kansas City was running wild with infected from what Ellie described in her journeys.
“My..my mom.” It was so quiet you are certain she didn’t hear you but she did. She pauses the needle held in her hand as she looks at the profile of you. “It wasn’t her fault. She acts out when she’s mad. We were low on ration cards and I had gotten in trouble with Fedra.” It was a ramble of excuses that Maria knew did excuse burning your child. Maria’s silence makes you stop.
“Just…don’t tell them. I can feel your pity eating away.” You say and the older woman frowns she does feel bad for you. No child should have ever been treated like that and she was certain some of these other injuries may have been the cause of your mother.
“And your father,” She finally speaks up as she ties off the last stitch moving to clean the rest of the blood with the cloth, “He didn’t try to stop her?”
“A man that I’ve never met can’t really help ya know.” You say dryly. You wish he was there. Maybe he would have stopped it all, taken you away, and been the dad you’ve only seen in stories and dreams. But he wasn’t. Did that make him worse than her, he left a woman pregnant in a world that was ending around you all. Wrapping your shoulder in the bandage and briefly covering your neck she pulls back beginning to collect the items for the suture kit and bloody washcloths.
“Thank you.” You say and Maria looks back seeing you still not facing her and a small grin grows on her face. It was progress, slow progress but progress. More than a one-sided conversation though not a lighthearted one and a ‘thank you’ not some nod or even forced. Genuine.
“Just be careful with your shoulder.” She says before she heads upstairs to collect her husband and son from the event-filled night. When both Miller brothers, Maria and Ellie return downstairs to head out but also check in on you just catching a glimpse of you retreating to your room. The living room was back in order the suture kit was all packed up the bloody washcloths and your shirt was thrown away. Maria reassured the three of them you were alright and Ellie was a bit upset wanting to see you but retreated back to her room to sleep. Joel looks over at the mug still full resting on the table his gesture of help is forgotten and it makes his chest ache slightly.
“She’s gonna be alright?” Tommy says while fixing his grip on his sleeping son, the three adults had seen the scars and burns, and how you acted to them and towards people explained a lot.
“It was a pretty deep cut and her neck was raw as hell but other than that she’s alright,” Maria explains but Joel could see she was hiding something. There was a look on her face something she knew but she didn’t tell him even Tommy.
“And the burns,” Tommy whispers not wanting to speak up on it around his son even though he was fast asleep and too young to remember. Joel watches Maria as she pauses before fixing her coat.
“She wouldn’t tell me how she got them.” Liar. He could spot the lie as clear as day. But why was she covering for you? Joel nods and with nothing more to say the small family of three left to return to their home as Joel moves to the living room. Your coat hung on the hooks and your shoes and socks were piled neatly in the corner despite him ripping them off you in a panic. It’s as if you were never injured and sewed back together on the couch. Your features for such a young girl held such tiredness and stress even as you bled out. No fear though. Not a moment where you were afraid of dying just wanting this moment of weakness to go. A weight in his gut from the circumstances of today, thousands of scenarios running through his head, what if he and Tommy were too late for the raiders? What if your injuries were too severe for them to help you?
Stop it, Joel.
He shakes his head looking at the couch and your words ring back at him,
“You too. I don’t fucking need you, Joel.”
Pulling back like he was burned he returns to his room pushing away the insecurities and questions. The still-filled mug remains on the table the only thing holding the memories of what occurred tonight.

Hey I just finished reading Until My Dying Breath, and omg the detail was so amazing! One of the best I’ve ever read! I was thinking maybe as a request a pt 2 to that, maybe after they finished getting checked and can go home, Rafe is so nervous what readers parents are gonna say, he thinks there gonna say stuff like how he can’t see reader anymore, but he doesn’t tell reader that’s how he’s feeling. Later when rafe and reader are together readers dad comes and pulls him aside and thanks him over and over again for protecting his daughter. It can go anywhere from there just an idea!
Please do not feel the need that u have to do this! Much love 🤍🤍🤍

Her bill of clean health means Y/N can stay by Rafe’s side while the doctors keep him for observation. She traces her fingers over the lines of his palm, oblivious to the loving look her boyfriend is giving her. “Y/N/N,” a deep voice resonates through the room. The couple’s gazes turn toward the open door to find her parents. She scrambles out of her chair and throws herself into her family’s arms. Rafe notices the way her parents’ arms pull her in for a tiger hug. Her father presses a kiss to her temple. “We are so glad you are both okay,” her mother whispers loud enough for the whole room to hear. Rafe responds, “Thank you.” He averts his eyes, clawing at the thin bedding. This catches Mr. Y/L/N’s attention. “Why don’t you go get something to eat with your mother, Y/N/N? You need your energy,” he suggests. “I’ll keep Rafe company. Maybe you can bring something back for him too.”
Sensing he needs to talk to her boyfriend, Y/N nods and follows her mother to the cafeteria. Rafe takes a deep breath. His eyes are trained on the way the older gentleman turns to him, readying himself for a verbal scolding.
He promised to keep Y/N safe and he failed. He loves Y/N, but he’ll understand if Mr. Y/L/N forces her to break up with him. He won’t like it, but he’ll understand. He is going to buy her a house. Or better yet, he will let her have Tannyhill and he can move somewhere else. Maybe on the Cut. He certainly deserves to live in that hellhole after what he let Y/N get hurt.
The chair creaks under the weight of Clarence Y/L/N. Rafe’s brows furrow while he watches Clarence find his composure. Once his thoughts are arranged, Mr. Y/L/N says his peace. “Thank you.” Rafe is caught off guard. Out of everything he assumed would come out of the other man’s mouth, gratitude was not what he expected. “I’m sorry,” Rafe baffles, his head tilts. Clarence clears his throat, “Y/N/N told me what you did. That you protected her and put her first when the accident happened. That through the drumming of the rain, your reassuring words pierced through it and calmed her fear.”
“So you aren’t angry at me? You don’t want us to break up?”
The father’s head jerks to the side, “Why in the world would I want that to happen?”
“I got into an accident with Y/N on my back. She could’ve died. I put her in harm's way.”
“You didn’t mean for it to happen Rafe. You can’t control the weather or what the universe has planned. But what you could control was how you reacted. And in that moment your instincts told you to protect my daughter like you promised.”
The boyfriend lets out a sigh, “So this isn’t my last breath.”
Clarence chuckles and pats Rafe’s left shoulder. “No, Son. This is the first breath you take with my blessing to marry my daughter. When you are both ready, of course.” The injured male grins, placing his hand on top of the palm on him. “Thank you, Sir. That means a lot to me,” he reveals. High pitch laughter approaching the room stunts the conversation and both men grin at the return of the love of their lives.

When Night Comes
Platonic Yandere Vampire
Previous Part | Next Part
First Chapter
Trigger Warning: A bit of gore and death
13. 𝓒𝓻𝓲𝓶𝓼𝓸𝓷 𝓟𝓾𝓷𝓲𝓼𝓱𝓶𝓮𝓷𝓽
Tumblr media
A soft knock echoed through the room, yet it was met with a disheartening silence. Undeterred, he entered, his presence a commanding force in the quiet space. "You cannot confine yourself in your room all night," the vampire declared with stern authority, a hint of frustration lingering in his tone.
She responded only by rolling in her bed, seeking refuge under the covers. He tried to ignore how this reaction crushed a small part within him.
"Tell me," he pressed on, "what did you expect to get out of this? Did you wish to die in the cold?"
His mind revisited the events of three nights ago. She had almost died. That was the cold harsh truth. It was sickening, horrifying even. It had terrified him in a way he hadn’t expected. Scenarios of what could have happened made dread gawk at his inside. The fact was that he had been lucky to find her, Dorian could have tried searching for her in the opposite direction. She would have been attacked and there would have been no one to protect her from that vermin. After bringing her back, he had remained by her side all day as she slept, the events of the night having left her completely drained of any energy. He had listened as she let out soft expirations, as her mortal heart beated and watched as her chest slowly rose and fell.
So weak…
Her existence was so ephemeral.
That night, as these thoughts had crossed his mind, Dorian had inched closer to her neck. He could fix this. He could make her better and everlasting; eternal. His daughter – his sweet doll – could forever remain safe and unaltered by time. But he didn’t. He couldn’t turn her at this instant, no matter how much he wished to. It was forbidden to do so to a child her age. He had to wait.
Tonight, as he stepped into her room, he wanted to tell her that, had he not been there to save her, she might have met an untimely demise. That this was the reason why she hadn't been allowed to go out. Yet, the words remained trapped in his mouth, sealed between his lips.
Resigned to the persistent silence, he seated himself on the edge of the bed, his eyes fixed on her form cocooned beneath the covers. "It didn't hurt you. It is gone now," he spoke with a gentler cadence, seeking to comfort.
Dorian liked when the child was calm and well behaved, but this depressing silence was not what he had wished for. Her response was an unyielding silence, prompting him to rise with a sense of resignation.
"What," she started with a scratchy voice, breaking the silence, "was that ?"
He halted, turning back to her with a glimmer of hope at the sound of her voice. "What do you mean, starshine?" he inquired, his tone inviting conversation and relieved that she was willing to engage.
"The monster," she whispered, a tremor of fear evident in her voice.
He sighed, grappling with the decision of whether to disclose the truth. Eventually, he settled back down, choosing to take advantage of her sudden willingness to speak. Refusing to answer would only make her retreat into her shell once again.
"To complete the process of turning a person into a vampire, that person must drink the blood of the vampire that bit them. A Sanguini, the thing you saw, is what results if that last step isn't taken. Slowly, these creatures turn into ravenous beasts, going mad with bloodlust. They aren't vampires, but rather something far more disgraceful and pathetic. The shame of our world."
Silence persisted as she absorbed this revelation. The vampire lifted the covers, unveiling her tear-streaked face. His fingers traced the contours of her cheek as he admitted, "I feared for your safety," his voice betraying a hint of vulnerability, emotions surfacing against his intentions.
She turned her back to him. "I want my mum," she mumbled.
His hands clenched involuntarily, resentment tinged with regret at how even in death, the woman retained significance for the girl. "I am here," he declared, the unspoken words ‘And she isn't’ hanging in the air.
Her response was silence. "You have me," he asserted more firmly, his fingers gently threading through her hair. "And you need me," he added, a subtle plea beneath his words. She needed him. Just as much as he needed her.
⊱ ────── {⋆☾⋆} ────── ⊰
The atmosphere hung heavy with a somber hush, disrupted occasionally by the clatter of utensils against porcelain as she quietly partook in her meal. Her eyes would intermittently dart toward the vampire sharing the table, yet they swiftly retreated back to the contents of her plate. It marked their first shared dinner since the harrowing incident a week ago. As she cautiously chewed her food, the unspoken tension in the air lingered. Did the vampire across from her anticipate a gesture of thanks? Did he expect acknowledgement for his actions, or was he simply indifferent to her feelings? Gratitude, however, was a complex sentiment to navigate when mixed with the knowledge that he was also the perpetrator of her parents' death.
Leaving during the cold winter night had been reckless, even perilous. The storm's cruel embrace had slowed her journey, and she found herself fortunate to have escaped the clutches of the biting cold. The storm had slowed her down and she was lucky she hadn't died from the cold… or that awful beast. She finished her meal in silence, rising without uttering a word. As she moved to leave, he halted her with an unexpected announcement.
"I have something for you."
With a subtle yet firm touch, the vampire guided her towards the door of the basement, a realm she had yet to explore. There was an air of mystery about the descent into the lower levels, an uncharted territory that piqued her curiosity. Descending the stairs, she couldn't help but notice a serene smile gracing the duke's face, adding an enigmatic layer to the unfolding scenario.
The pathway, illuminated by the flickering light of torches lining the walls, exuded an eerie chill that seemed to cling to the air. As (Y/n) and the vampire continued their exploration, a distant door loomed at the far end of the corridor shrouded in shadows. However, they never reached it. The journey paused at a second door.
The first thing that came to her was the putrid smell. Next, was the figure slumped against the wall opposite to her. The duke widened the door, ushering light into the room.
She recoiled, a futile hand pressed against her mouth, but the horrified scream still erupted. Mary, the servant who had unwittingly aided her escape, lay there. (Y/n)'s eyes collided with vacant sockets. The girl slumped in the corner, bathed in blood. (Y/n)'s gaze trailed down her face, fixing on the throat. A crimson grin seemed to mock her. The slash across her throat emanated more life than her lifeless, gaping mouth.
One arm and one leg were bent at awkward angles as though she was a marionette that had been carelessly dropped. The remaining limbs lay a few meters away, severed from the rest. Entrails spilled unceremoniously on the floor.
(Y/n) crumpled to her knees, legs weakened. The world around her blurred as waves of anguish crashed over her, threatening to engulf every ounce of composure she possessed. In the midst of her torment, she unleashed a guttural scream of pain and despair that echoed through the emptiness around her. Tears streamed down her face as uncontrollable sobs wracked her body.
Two hands steadied her shoulders. "Take this as a warning," he declared, the words carrying a weight that extended beyond their immediate meaning. His grip on her shoulders tightened, the pressure a physical manifestation of the gravity of his words. "Actions have consequences, my dear."
The vampire leaned closer until his lips almost touched the girl's ear. His voice, low and intense, carried a chilling warning. "Don't you dare try to leave again," he hissed, the words spoken with a sense of finality. The proximity of his threat sent shivers down her spine. “I will find you. I will always find you. And everyone involved will have to pay for your foolishness," he affirmed, the weight of those words emphasizing an unwavering determination
He rose, leaving her sobbing in the wake of his departure, the door closing behind him.
(Y/n) clutched her chest, sobbing harder. This was her fault. She had brought this upon a poor girl who had done nothing wrong. And here she was now; forced to confront the consequences of her actions. She wept until no more tears flowed, until her voice became too hoarse to continue.

Troublesome Twin: I Killed Someone

Coryo and Y/N got out of the car to Dr. Gaul’s office. Y/N was struggling to stay awake from the dagger in her leg and the blood seeping out.
“We’re here, love.” Coryo whispered, picking her up bridal style and carrying her to Dr. Gaul’s office.
“Snow stormed down, down on his head.” Dr. Gaul let out. “It stormed down on his head, and now the boy is…” Dr. Gaul laughed then sighed when she didn’t get the response she wanted. (She hasn’t seen Y/N’s leg yet. Don’t worry she’s not ignoring her injured god-daughter. I’m not that mean) “You’ve had enough of the Games tonight, I see. Come, sit. I’ll stitch you up.”
“Take care of Y/N first.” Coryo ordered, walking over to Dr. Gaul.
“Y/N?” Dr. Gaul asked. “What happened to her?”
“She has a dagger stuck in her leg.” Coryo explained.
“Oh dear. Come on.” Dr. Gaul ordered, walking to a lab table. “Lay her down.”
Coryo did as he was told and carefully put Y/N down on the table.
“Coryo…” Y/N slurred.
“Shh, it’s okay baby.” He cooed, brushing some hair out of her face. “Dr. Gaul is going to help you.”
“What about you?”
“She’ll help me after you.”
“Alright my dear,” Dr. Gaul gently let out, putting gloves on. “This is going to hurt, but I need you to stay awake. Hold Mr. Snow’s hand.”
“O–okay.”
Dr. Gaul started to remove the dagger and Y/N started to cry in pain, holding tighter onto Coryo. “Stop! Please stop!” She begged.
“I’m sorry my dear. I’m almost done.” Dr. Gaul explained. “Just let me do one more pull and then I’ll stitch you up.”
“Hey, it’s okay, love.” Coryo cut in. “Once it’s out it’s going to feel better, and it will start to heal.”
“And you can get fixed.”
“Yeah. Once you’re taken care of Dr. Gaul will help take care of me.”
“Okay.” Y/N breathed.
Dr. Gaul was able to take out the dagger and stitch her leg up. Y/N was now laid down on the ground head resting on Coryo’s legs as she slept.
He moved his fingers around her hair as Dr. Gaul started to stitch his shoulder.
“Who could imagine Crassus Snow’s baby boy fighting for his life in the arena one day? What happened in there, that’s humanity undressed. Fueled with the terror of becoming prey, see how quickly we become predator. See how quickly civilization disappears.”
“Those tributes don’t have a choice.” Coryo let out, looking at Y/N.
“I was talking about you.” Gaul explained. “All your fine manners, education, background, stripped away in the blink of an eye, leaving a boy with a club who beats another boy to death to stay alive.”
“He tried to kill my girlfriend.” Coryo breathed, feeling the tears form as he watched Y/N sleep peacefully on his legs.
“You wanna protect people, Mr. Snow? To govern them like your father?”
“I want to keep Y/N safe.”
“Then it’s essential you accept what human beings are and what it takes to control them.”
Tumblr media
Y/N woke up as Coryo got onto the elevator up to the penthouse, head leaning on his chest as he cradled her.
“Hey, love.” Coryo smiled.
“Hi,” Y/N mumbled. “Are we almost home?”
“Yeah. We’re in the elevator.”
“How’s your shoulder?”
“It’s fine, my love,” Coryo let out, kissing her head. “I’ve got you. Once we get home we can go to bed.”
“Okay,” Y/N sighed, resting her head more onto his chest, letting a tear fall as she sniffled.
“What is it, my love?” Coryo asked, looking down at her.
“I was so scared.”
“I know.” Coryo cooed. The elevator stopped and Coryo walked out but stopped right outside the door to their penthouse. “But I’ve got you. I’ve always got you.”
“I thought I was going to die.” Y/N struggled through a strangled sob. “I– I couldn’t breathe. An–and–and then he—he tried to kill me, Coryo.”
“I know, I know.” Coryo cooed, holding her tighter to his chest, resting his chin on her head. “But he didn’t. I’m never going to let anyone ever hurt you again. I promise.”
“I’m so sorry.”
“Why are you sorry my love, none of this is your fault.”
“You told me to wait, but I didn’t.”
“Hey, hey, look at me. That doesn’t matter. All that matters is that you're safe.”
“I should’ve just listened to you.”
“Hey, you’re okay. It’s okay. We’re okay. But please never put yourself in danger again. I can’t take it, darling. I need to know you’re okay.”
“I promise.” Y/N sighed. “Can we go to bed now?”
“Of course.”
Coryo opened the door, and softly closed it behind him as Tigris rushed in, feet all over her face.
“They sent us into the arena tonight, Tigris.” Coryo explained, as Y/N wrapped her arms around his neck tighter.
“What?” Tigris gasped, looking between her cousin and his girlfriend.
“To get Sejanus out,” Y/N let out, looking at Tigris.
“What happened? Are you two okay?”
“I killed someone,” Coryo breathed, tears forming in his eyes. “A boy.”
“That must have been awful,” Tigris let out, twisting Y/N’a hair gently in her fingers.
“It was,” Coryo let out, looking down at Y/N’s weak and scared figure as she cried in his arms. “But he was trying to kill Y/N. Then it felt… powerful.”
“Coryo,” Tigris breathed, trying to hide her fear. “I know you want to be like your father but what I remember the most about him was that in his eyes, it was just hate. You don’t have to pay the same price just to survive. People can be good. You can be good. You are good. Just believe in that.”
Tumblr media
“Coryo,” Y/N let out, cuddling into his chest as he held one arm around her waist, and the other carefully holding her leg up on his for comfort on the injured leg.
“What is it, my love?”
“Thank you.”
“For what?”
“Killing him for me. He was going to kill me if you hadn’t.”
“I know, baby. But I’ve got you, yeah? I’ve always got you. I’ll kill everyone in order to keep you safe.”
“Thank you.” Y/N breathed. “I love you so much.”
“I love you more darling. Now get some rest. You need it.”

”Where have you been, young lady?” Steve snapped with his arms on his hips.
Their daughter, Grace, who had just turned sixteen had been out till 2 am and Steve wasn’t having any of it.
He had stayed up the whole night for her. Waiting around nervously and wondering if she’d even show up, but then the front door had opened quietly and he finally let out the breath he was holding as he stood up from their living room’s couch.
It wasn’t like him or Eddie were strict parents, but a girl her age wandering around in the middle of the night wasn’t safe. Anything could be creeping around. Men, women or faceless creatures who’d shred you to pieces…
A loud groan snapped him out of his thoughts.
”Geez, Dad. Don’t ’young lady’ me.” Grace stepped out of her shoes and Steve had to keep back from pouting at her attitude.
”I’ll young lady you all I want, Grace. It’s the middle of the night and I was scared you’d gotten hurt!” Steve hissed while following her around until she got to the fridge and drank the rest of her old coke can.
She sighed before throwing it away and looking up at her dad with her brown eyes.
It was like staring back into a mirror.
”I was at Jess, okay? Do I need to explain myself to you everytime I go and see my friend?”
Steve wrapped his arms around his chest and raised a brow at her.
”With Jessica? You know I’ve told you that she’s not the best influence on you. I heard that she sells drugs, Grace, that's a dangerous business.”
Grace had to hold herself back from rolling her eyes as she made her way to her room, Steve following right behind her tail.
”I don’t need your option on her. And that’s not even true!” She groaned.
”And, why do you even care if she did? Didn’t Dad also sell drugs when he was younger?” She snapped a bit harder and that’s when the door to her parents room opened and Eddie walked out, looking between the two.
”What’s going on?” Eddie murmured, dark hair on a loose ponytail as he stepped closer to the other two, eyes tired but it was clear he hadn’t slept either.
”Dad is freaking out over how I got home late because I was at a friend’s house and is now telling me I cant hang out with Jess!”
Eddie turned to give Steve a look.
”Okay, hey, I didn’t say you can’t hang out with her.” Steve answered, big brown eyes frustrated that his daughter was twisting his words. He was just trying to protect her.
”Well, I’m sure you’d be fucking glad if I didn’t!” She snapped and glared up at him, making his eyes go sad.
”Hey, let’s all calm down now,” Eddie interrupted, stepping between them. He wasn’t liking his daughter’s tone and he knew he had to intervene, especially because Steve’s breathing was getting quicker from his anxiety.
”I’ll talk with your Dad and you go ahead and go to bed, peach.”
The silence stretched for a while before Grace nodded and walked to her room, closing the door with a loud thud behind her.
Eddie let out a sigh and turned to Steve who was hugging himself, nails digging into his forearms painfully.
Steve had been anxious all night because he didn’t know where their daughter was.
He tried to explain it was just the thought of her getting drunk or hurt, but Eddie knew it was the fear of the monsters that lingered in Steve’s mind.
”What if they come back and take her?” Steve had once cried when Grace was only five months old. He had had a bad nightmare about everything that happened back in Hawkins, how Eddie had almost died in his arms and he’d woken up with a cry as he searched for Eddie and Grace.
Eddie had told him they wouldn’t as he rocked Steve back and forth in his arms, Grace sleeping peacefully next to them in her crib.
He’d told him that the upside down was gone, that nothing could hurt them anymore, but he knew it never left the back of Steve’s mind like it never left his either and tonight Eddie could see it coming back to the surface again.
”Sweetheart…” Eddie whispered and slowly took Steve’s hands into his as the other tried to hold back tears.
”I was just worried, I—” Steve tried to say, but Eddie hushed him while wrapping his arms around him and letting the other cry into his shoulder.
”She’s only acting out. She’s okay, she’s just being a teenager.” Eddie reassured him and he felt how Steve nodded, but the other still let out small sobs.
”Dada?” a little voice called from behind them and they turned to look at their five year old son, Tyler.
”Why are you crying?” He asked, small hands coming to hug Steve’s leg and big brown eyes looking straight up at him with worry.
Steve wiped his eyes and crunched down to pet his head softly, ”Nothing’s wrong with me! Dada was just cutting some onions.” Steve gave the other a big smile.
”In the middle of the night?” Tyler asked after a beat.
Steve didn’t know what to really answer, but then he felt Eddie’s hand on his shoulder and he felt the tension leave his body as the other answered for him.
”Dada was making Daddy some food. I got reeeeeally hungry!” Eddie explained while petting his stomach a few times.
”Daddy looks funny!” Tyler giggled, but it soon turned into a big yawn.
Steve smiled as he stood up, but before he could go and take their son to bed, Eddie kissed his cheek and told him he’ll do it.
When Eddie got back after Tyler finally dozed off, he found Steve already laying in their bed, but he knew the other was still up. So, he went to bed too and hugged him before giving his shoulder a soft kiss.
”She loves you, you know that, right?” Eddie said and Steve was quiet for a while before he turned around and faced Eddie, a small frown in his lips that Eddie kissed away.
Steve let out a small laugh and moved closer to Eddie.
”I know.” He answered, ”I just… I hate all the sneaking around and getting home late, y’know? It makes me really worried.”
”It’s not like you didn’t do it, Steve. If I remember right, you were letting me fuck you one night so late that your mother was livid when you got back home because you didn’t join her fancy party—”
”Shut up! The kids could hear you!” Steve panicked and threw a pillow at him.
”I’m just saying!” Eddie chuckled, ”But I get it, baby, I do. I don’t like it either, but she’s a smart kid. She knows how to take care and protect herself.”
Steve gave him a sad smile, which made Eddie caress his husband’s cheek tenderly, ”She has learned that from you. You're an amazing dad, ’kay? The best dad ever.”
Eddie leaned down to kiss the two dots on Steve’s cheek and sucked the spot to make Steve squirm and laugh under him.
”Stop it!” Steve tried to push his face away, but Eddie just leaned closer and attacked Steve’s neck now with hungry kisses. It made Steve pinch his sides as a payback.
They messed around for a while before Eddie finally backed off and cuddled Steve instead. He held him close to his chest, giving his neck small kisses as Steve finally started to relax in his arms.
”You’re an amazing dad too, Eds.”
The next morning when they both woke up, they smelled food and got up to investigate, only to find their kids in the kitchen. Tyler was perched on a chair while Grace was doing some eggs and bacon, laying them down on four different plates with some berries next to them.
She turned around and set them down to the table. When she glanced up, she saw her dad’s staring back at her from the doorway and she smiled nervously.
”Morning… I made some breakfast.”
”Smells amazing, Gracie.” Eddie smiled and came to ruffle her hair as he walked past her to get some coffee from the pot. All black with no hint of sugar or milk.
Grace turned to look at Steve now, nervous about his reaction and clear sadness in her face. She felt guilty.
And Steve knew that. He did, too.
He took a slow step forward, stopping in front of her.
They stared at each other for a while before Steve pulled her into an embrace and she immediately relaxed, hugging her dad tighter while Steve petted her head.
”I’m so sorry, Dad…”
”Oh, sweetie. I’m sorry too.” Steve smiled and kissed his daughter's head, ”I should’ve not acted like I did. I’m sorry.”
”No, I get it, Dad, I do! I promise not to scare you like that anymore. I will tell you where I am the next time, okay?”
”Pinky promise?” Steve asked and it made his daughter giggle as she leaned back, eyes a little wet. She pulled her pinky out and Steve did as well.
”Pinky promise.”
Tyler giggled and Eddie pinched the boy’s cheeks, smiling at the other two once they came to sit at the nicely set table with delicious breakfast in front of them.
Their daughter has wanted to be a cook since she saw her first ever cooking show on TV at the age of four and every food she made was always amazing.
”I added some strawberries since I know those are your favorite, Dad.” Grace said when Steve took in his plate of breakfast with a big smile.
”Where did you get them?”
”Auntie Robin brought them to Gracie this morning!” Tyler said happily with a mouthful of food.
”Ohh, did she?” Eddie laughed and it made Steve grin when Tyler giggled a small ’Yes!’ back.
Steve made sure he'd give a big hug to Robin when he sees her later that evening at their shared shift.
Grace blushed and demanded everyone to dig into their food and shut it. Which they did, but not before Eddie and Steve gave each other a kiss, making their kids gag.
”Dad’s!” Grace groaned.
”Sorryyy!” Eddie wiggled his brows teasingly and wrapped his tattooed arm around Steve’s waist, holding his husband close to him.
Eddie still knew how to make Steve blush even with the smallest little touches. Steve felt so safe with him.
As they all ate their breakfast in happy silence, soft music playing from the morning radio and the sun starting to shine behind the unopened blinds, Steve felt at peace.
He had his family here. Together and safe.
Nothing would be better than this.

Sweet alpha, Dangerous Omega
Cassandra dimitrescu x Reader
Warning: Smut, omegaverse, some violence.
Part 2.
An alpha was a muscular, demanding and aggressive man. Leader of his household.
An omega was a small, obedient and sweet woman.  Caretaker of her children.
A beta was the common class, mediocre or talented if the Black God blessed them.  A variable.
You didn't know if it was different outside the village, you had hope that it was, maybe far from here you could find someone who would accept you as a partner, you, an alpha woman, a mistake that should have died after going through the presentation like everyone else. However you survived, twenty-three years later you are still here living in a cabin away from the others but within the limits of security, working as a lumberjack for the elders of the village who treat you with hatred and contempt.
What a life.
But you barely had money to survive, the duke had told you how much you needed to be able to leave and the price was something that you wouldn't be able to save not matter how much you try.  So you went about your day, waiting for a stroke of luck or a Lycan that will end your life.
"Repair my fence, I don't want the animals to ruining my crops" John, an old farmer had asked you, the wood was rotten and you had to redo a large part of the fence, however you knew well that he was not going to pay you more than what he already gave you. That's why they gave you a job in the first place, they knew that no one else would agree to work so hard for so little.
When you finished, the sun had already set and the temperature had dropped considerably.  Starting your way home with your ax held tightly in your hand, although dying sounded easier you weren't ready to accept it without fighting first.
"Shit!"  The scream coming from the trees caught your attention immediately.  You debated whether to approach to help or follow the path, after all it was not your problem, the strong smell of anxiety, anger and pain reached your nose, an omega, a woman because of her screams.  Your instincts took control and when you recovered you were already in front of the woman.
"Fu-ck Co-ld" Her clothing was that of a hunter, perhaps one's daughter wanted to rebel and it ended badly.  She was hugging herself with a cloak covering her and a hood covering her face. You could notice with surprise that she was taller than you. You approached carefully, taking into account the tension in her body.
"I'm going to take you to my house, tomorrow you can go back to yours but you can't stay here if the cold doesn't kill you the Lycans will-" A roar interrupted your conversation, a varcolac emerged from the trees, almost as if your comment had summoned it, the beast was covered in wounds but still had enough strength to stand and attack.
You let the savagery inside you come out growling at the beast in front of you challenging it, when it jumped you moved out of its way and put all your strength into your arm driving your ax into its neck to such a point that you couldn't pull it out again.
You ran towards the woman and without waiting for permission you picked her up in your arms, fleeing from the beast that was writhing in pain.  You didn't stop even after leaving the forest, your mind had only one thought: return to your territory where you would be safe.  Avoiding the traps you placed around as security, you hurriedly opened the door.
Trying to control your breathing you looked at the girl who was looking at you cautiously or so you thought, the darkness did not let you see her clearly.  You gently placed it on top of what you called a bed, a small mattress that you had bought from the duke, covered with the skin of the largest bear you had managed to hunt along with the stitching of other smaller animal skins as a blanket, you took off the jacket that were wearing and gave it to her so that she could cover herself more.
"Pathetic Alpha" is how they referred to you, with good reason, your home was a cabin with only one room that served as a living room, bedroom and kitchen with a warehouse that you built for wood and food. Who would want to be your partner if this was all you could offer?
You started looking for the materials to light the fireplace, trying to ignore the shame that was growing in your chest.  With the fire lit you turned to see your guest.
"You can sleep if you want, I give you my word that nothing will happen to you" With the fire providing light you could see her better; the hair that was sticking out of her hood was a dark brown, you could only see her mouth and part of her nose, she was rolled up in her cloak with your jacket on her shoulders and the blanket on her lap;  she wasn't tense anymore but she stayed alert.
"Your word have no worth to me" her voice denoted her distrust and contempt despite having saved her.  However, you did not take it to heart after all, an omega alone with an alpha had to be careful because they were violent and did not accept no as an answer to something they wanted, her caution was understandable.
Nodding you stood up and went to where you left the knives, you took the longest one you had and returning you handed it to her, she grabbed the knife firmly and easily.
"If that makes you feel safer"
"I could easily kill you"
"Do it and you'll have to keep the fire going"
She let out a soft laugh that quickly was oppressed.
You went to the trunk where you kept the few clothes you had you took out the only coat you had and put it on while you went to the warehouse, where you took the bow you used to hunt and its quiver full of arrows.
"I'm going to patrol in case the varcolac comes back"
"Do you really think you can take it down?"  You heard the mockery in her voice, at least she was honest.
"No, but at least I can blind it to give us more time to escape"
"It seems that's the only thing you're good at."
"Otherwise I would have died a long time ago, miss."
The adults were cruel and their children imitated them, your parents don't try to protect you, their contempt was clear and the hope that they would love you even a little disappeared the moment they threw you out of the house when you turned eighteen.
You left without saying more
-------------—-----------------------------
Cassandra followed you with her gaze until you left.  It was the first time in all her years that she had met an alpha female;  Her mother had told her that it was possible but as with omega men, there were very few, almost non-existent, as they tended to die during the presentation period.
When she presented she wanted to be one despite her mother's disdain for them, attracted by the strength and natural dominance of the dynamic, the disappointment that came from her when she presented as an omega was immense.  It was unfair!  Daniela was the one who wanted to be one!  and Bela, perfect mommy's girl Bela was everything an omega should be, responsible, maternal, virtuous and patient with a small and attractive body.  Not Cassandra, Cassandra was rude, aggressive, sadistic, impatient and impulsive, the second tallest but the most muscular, she was the complete opposite of what an omega should be.  However she was the omega and her sisters were Betas.  Her entire family were betas with the exception of her aunt Donna who was also an omega and her uncle Karl who was an alpha.
It took years for her to finally accept her dynamic, after thousands of talks with her mother, sisters, and her aunt.  So what if she didn't fit the typical image of omegas?  She was Cassandra Dimitrescu, proud daughter of Alcina Dimitrescu, of the three daughters the strongest, an excellent hunter, a fearsome warrior and a dangerous omega.
She didn't need a partner, being single was perfect for her.  And if she made sure to prolong the pain of the servants who mentioned how undesirable she was, well it was always good to inflict fear on the staff it keep them on line.
She prefer not to think about the periods of heat, where all her stupid emotions came out uncontrollably, where she just wanted to be snuggled with someone giving her all her affection and attention.
At first it was enough with just her mother and sisters but as the years went by her stupid omega side complained about the lack of the company of an alpha more and more often, now the first days she spent with her family and the last ones alone trying to deal with with sexual desire without result, her stupid body wanted the touch of an alpha, feeling empty without it, her room ended up reeking of pheromones for a month despite the maids cleaning it thoroughly, she hated the looks of compassion and sympathy that the maids omega gave her because the stupid message that her stupid pheromones sent was one of misery and loneliness, a plea for the company of a lover.
She wished she had the same abilities as Lady Beneviento who was able to suppress her omega side, leaving her practically like another beta thanks to her mutation.
But nooo, her own mutation made her more susceptible to her wild side in addition to lengthening her heat from three days to a week.
Fucking luck.
She decided to go hunting to forget that in a few more days her heat would begin. She was so concentrated that she did not notice the drop in temperature until she encountered a varcolac. She fought as best she could but was unable to use her swarm and her body was hardening little by little, she knew that it was better to accept defeat later she would return to finish off the damn mutt.  She couldn't make much progress, when she tripped over a simple branch her frustration got the better of her screaming at the top of her lungs, attracting the attention of the beast and yours apparently.
She now found herself in a decrepit cabin in a pathetic attempt at bed with a stupid alpha giving her protection she didn't need and her stupid omega was so pleased she had to bite her tongue to keep from purring.
Damn luck
-------------—-----------------------------
It dawned with no sign of the varcolac or any search group for the girl.  Upon entering you found her sleeping curled up in your bed, deciding to leave her like that after such a turbulent night you headed to the safe part of the forest to hunt something to eat for you and her.  You weren't the best cook but at least it will be edible.
Despite being up all night after yesterday's heavy work, you felt energized, the desire to impress the young unmated omega made your alpha jump like an excited dog it was kind of silly but it kept you on your feet so you let it be.
-----------------—-------------------------
Cassandra woke up when she smelled the food, she didn't even notice when she fell asleep, sitting up and more awake she noticed the smell of dirt and blood, a deer, which apparently you hunted.  The animal meat would be enough to quench her hunger for now.  She slapped her chest to stop the contented purr, of course the stupid omega of hers was flattered.
When she finished eating she felt it, she was going to enter in heat early, most likely being so close to an unmated alpha made her start earlier to encourage her to mate.  She had to leave, she had to go back to the castle but it was still too cold for her to travel, growling she approached the trunk where your clothes were and took it to the bed creating a nest, it was very small, stupid peasant alpha.  She took off her clothes and lay down under the blanket, as soon as you arrived you would be a slave to lust and you would take her savagely, with her need satisfied she would kill you and start her way back home, where her mother would reprimand her, assuming that she had already returned from her journey and her life would continue the same as always.
It was that simple.
-------------—-----------------------------
It was night when you returned from work, you were surprised when you don't see any news about the girl who was in your home, normally there would be lines of alphas and betas trying to find her for their own purposes, but everything continued like just another day.
When you opened the door you felt the smell like a blow, pheromones, the girl had gone into heat.  The smell clouded your reason and when you realized you were already on top of her, your face in her neck, you got up quickly but your body didn't move anymore, she let out an enraged growl and pounced towards you, lying down she sit on your lap she started to rub her face on your neck, moving her hips on your member that was barely contained in your pants, a soft chirp came from your chest; your alpha was happy with the omega's treatment, however, you didn't want to take advantage of her in that state.
You tried to pull her away from you only for her to start growling angrily right in your face daring you to move her.  Instead of getting angry at the lack of respect, both you and your alpha were pleased by the brunette's behavior.  With one hand behind her head you brought her closer to kiss her and with the other you encouraged her to rub more on your crotch.  Her growl turned into a purr which was interrupted by soft moans.
You continued like this until the brunette began to growl again, frustration and desire was what her scent said, when you felt her hand trying to take off your pants you regained some sanity, this was just her heat speaking, after this she would leave or someone would come looking for her. And what would they do to you when they knew that you had claimed her as yours? What would they do to her?
You took your hand away from her and gently pushed her until you placed her on the mattress, you kissed her neck going down to her stomach and towards her most intimate part, the smell of her desire filled your senses.
----------------—--------------------------
Hugging her close with your chest on her back and three of your fingers inside her while you pressed her clitoris with your thumb, you did everything possible to please her, in your mouth you had placed one of your scarves like a muzzle, with a shirt you had tied her hands because she refused to stop touching you maybe you should have put a muzzle on her too because your arms were full of bite marks that the mischievous girl had made every time she had the opportunity, you would swear that she had even licked the blood off.
"Alpha, please, I need you inside" her voice sounded like a siren's song, tempting you to let go of the post you had tied yourself to avoid being drowned.  "It's not enough, I need you"
Whining like a beaten dog, you rested your forehead on her back, speeding up your movements while pinching her nipples, concentrating on her and not on your erection trapped inside your pants ruined by the all the times you came.
A little more just a little more, after coming so many times the haze of her heat should diminish enough for her fatigue to overcome her and she would go to sleep for a while.  Giving you enough time to go for suppressants with the duke, although that would use up half of your money it was nevertheless a necessary expense.
"I need more, why don't you take me? Don't you want me too?" You want her, you want her so much, despite having reached orgasm you felt dissatisfied, you wanted you needed to be inside her, you could feel her squeezing your fingers and you imagine how delicious it would be to feel her around you.  "Come on my alpha let me feel you inside me"
You pushed her face down onto the mattress that was already filled with sweat and cum, using your mouth and hands as you listened to her moans restricted by the sheet.
Just a little more. How much energy could she have?
-------------—-----------------------------
The alpha was asleep under her, it seems that the tiredness of the previous day and today was too much for a mere mortal.
Cassandra did not know whether to cry with joy or helplessness while she had come so many times reaching the point of over stimulation, her stupid omega would not be pleased until the stupid alpha push her knot and came inside her, she thought that would be an easy task, the alphas she had found were easy to seduce, she didn't even need to use her pheromones, just one look, one movement and the idiots entered the forest running to their death. But of course the first alpha woman she knew had better control than that, the damn woman made her beg! BEG! AND THE BITCH KEPT REFUSING HER. How dare she?!
She should take it by force, ride her until she was empty until she was the one who begged her for mercy, even unconsciously she could feel her cock ready to be used; easily breaking free of her restraints, the brunette lowers herself just enough to finally free your erection from your pants, licking her lips as she proceeds to have her fun and revenge.
-------------—-----------------------------
Opening your tired eyes, the first thing you see is your guest with her mouth wrapped around your dick. You moan when you feel how you touch the deepest part of her throat. Seeing that you are awake, she proceeds to take it out. You can clearly see a thread of saliva and semen coming out of her mouth, with a smile that sends shivers down your spine, she gives the tip a few slow licks going down towards your scrotum... Only to bite one of your testicles, your moan of pleasure transforms into one of pain, her malicious laugh reaches your ears and growling furiously you grab her face forcing her to take you completely, fucking her face fast you remove the scarf from your mouth you talk to her.
"You wanted it so much so take it slut" You see her eyes narrow with a mischievous glint in them "Bite me again and I'll turn your buttocks red, whore"
Feeling your orgasm close to her, you grab her hair, keeping her still while you finish inside her throat, making her swallow your semen. Coming to your senses, you leave her mouth, kneel and lift her into your lap hugging her, ignoring the fact that your head is at the height of her breasts.
"I'm sorry pretty girl, I shouldn't have been so rough with you" you hear a soft moan and feel her rub on your head "You just wanted my attention, forgive me" You caress her back and the small sighs she lets out make you feel guilty.
"We'll do whatever you want, darling."
You feel how her hand begins to gently caress your member until it hardens again, releasing it and moving her hips, rubbing her sex with yours. It's clear what she wants and you no longer remember why you denied her in the first place.
-------------—-----------------------------
Yes, yes, yes Cassandra will finally have what she wants, after seeing your good performance her desire to kill you has faded but her desire to have you has increased, she is going to capture you and keep you trapped as her personal pet, she is not going to share you with anyone, she will never let you go.
Concentrated on you, she almost didn't hear the call of her sisters through the connection with her swarm, no, no, no, why now?! The door swings open violently before you can enter inside her.
She see the moment that your instincts change from procreation to protection.
Fuck her luck.

Hi! I love your writing. Ok so I was thinking about her chapter in baby Miller story, maybe baby Miller gets sick, nothing serious of course but it really shakes Joel up because, ya know trauma. All the feels please.
Oooooo I absolutely love this idea
Nothing’s Gonna Hurt You Baby
Pairing: Joel Miller x fem!reader
Author’s note: hello this ended up being so much more sad that I thought it was gonna be
Summary: “Yes, there is a place / where someone / loves you both before / and after they learn what you are.” Neil Hilborn, “Lake”, The Future [1.2k]
Warnings: mentions of deceased children and past relationships, PTSD, anxiety, Charlie girl has a cold (also Charlie is like 3-4 months in this so she’s still just a squish)
Tumblr media
Joel is missing from his side of the bed when you reach for him, feeling his cold pillow instead of his chest. You jolt up and look around the room for any sign of him. His wedding band is still on the bedside table, and his shoes are still by the door, but there's no other indication that he's in the house. Panic settles over your bones as you stand up, throw the blankets off you, and walk down the hallway. You peek your head into Ellie's room first. Maybe she had a nightmare, and Joel fell asleep trying to calm her down, but she's alone and sleeping soundly. You look into Charlie's nursery and let out a relieved sigh when you see him sitting on the floor next to her crib. He doesn't look away from her sleeping form as you stand there, trying to regulate your heartbeat.
There's no evidence of a massive blowout or a half-asleep attempt at feeding her a bottle. The rocking chair is undisturbed, and it doesn't even look like she's been shifted much from how you laid her to sleep. Still, he's sitting there with a hand on her back, watching her little chest move up and down. You don't enter the sacred space yet. Instead, you just watch them.
Charlie's had a cold the past few days, and you knew kids got sick. You knew it wasn't your fault, and things like this happen. You knew it was part of growing up, socializing, and building her immune system. What you didn't know was how fucking terrifying it is when your baby gets sick after your kid has died. The second she got a fever, you rushed her to the hospital and cried the entire time the doctor examined her. Joel wasn't any better, fighting tears and anger at himself for letting her get sick but doing his best to keep it together for you. The doctor said it was nothing serious and gave you some antibiotics to give her, but that didn't stop you both from spiraling. That's probably why he's sitting on the cold floor of his daughter's nursery in the middle of the night.
Your heart aches at the worried, gentle look on his face. The man known for his brutality and hardness has melted into this soft, anxious, tender father in no time. You wish he could see himself this way, sitting in the soft light of his baby daughter's room just to measure her breaths. You finally let your feet carry you to where he's seated, careful not to make any sudden noise that could scare them, and sit down across from him. You let your tired body rest against her crib and listen to her light snoring. Joel takes a shaky breath, and you place a hand on his knee, looking into those sad brown eyes.
"She's okay," you whisper, watching his eyes fill his tears. He shakes his head and clenches his jaw. "Joel, look at her. She's breathing. She's safe. She's okay," He wipes a stray tear and rubs his thumb over her little shoulder blades. She smiles in her sleep at the movement, making his lips pull too. You trace delicate patterns into his skin and watch him take deep breaths to calm down. "She's right there. She's not going anywhere."
"I'm sorry, I-"
"Don't," you shake your head. He takes your hand and squeezes like he's trying to convince himself that you're real. "Don't apologize. I know."
"I'm so fuckin' scared." He whispers. You scoot close enough for your knees to touch and hold his hand with both of yours, kissing it.
"It's just a cold. She doesn't have a fever anymore. She's gonna be okay."
"'S not just that. I don't... I don't know how to do this," he stumbles through his words, and you wait him out. You know to let him sort through his thoughts before he thinks, that beautiful mind of his trying to string together millions of ideas. "I keep waiting for somethin' to happen or somethin' to take her away, and I'm so scared that I'm gonna be too slow or too fuckin' deaf to stop it. I don't know how to keep her safe. I don't know how to do this after Sarah." He says, tears glistening in his eyes again.
"Honey, you're the best dad. Are you kidding me? You got out of bed to sit on her floor to make sure she was breathing. You're the first one up every time she even fusses. You're there every step of the way, and not just for her but for all of us. She adores you. I adore you," you say, holding his hand to your chest so he can feel your heartbeat. "You were meant to be these girls' dad, and they are so fucking lucky to have you. Sarah was so lucky to have you, and I know," your voice catches in your throat. "I know this is scary and way fucking harder than we thought it was gonna be. I know you're terrified because I'm terrified too, but we are more than capable of doing this because we're a team. You're my team, okay?" It feels like you're begging. The way you're clinging to him like you're trying to convince him to stay is all too familiar, and you're doing your best to keep yourself from crying. Joel notices and presses his forehead to yours, squeezing your hand.
No words need to be spoken as you sit together. Maybe that's the beauty of your relationship. He knows you feel the weight of Jane's body every time you pick Charlie up. You know he listens for her breaths because he heard Sarah's last. He knows you will always check for Ellie first because she was left in David's hands the first time you didn't. You know he sticks so close to Tommy on patrol because he watched a man shoot his brother. He knows you drive yourself crazy trying to be the perfect mother and partner because you weren't good enough to make Jane's dad stay. You know he does the same because he wasn't good enough to make Sarah's mom stay. You understand each other in a way you've never understood anyone else.
"You're my team," he echoes, and you nod. Tears fall from your eyes, and he lets go of you to wipe them away. "I'm not goin' anywhere. I'm right here, okay? I'm here with you, baby. I know." He kisses you, and you can taste his tears.
Nothing can ever bring your daughters back to you. You can't go back and change anything. You can't stop the bomb from going off or the bullet from firing. All you can do is remember and cry when you get the tiniest slice of them back and keep living despite it all. And this. You can wrap yourself in each other and the beauty of being known by the people you love. So, when Ellie finds you two sleeping on Charlie's floor in the morning, she doesn't say anything. She doesn't try to wake you up or force you away from each other. Instead, she wraps a blanket over you and leaves, knowing what brought you there in the first place.
[oh the joy and sadness that comes with being known]

Night is still going on
Warning: disturbing themes, yandere Aemond, yandere Alicent ,dark themes, mentions of rape …
English is my second language
Tumblr media
It's been a long time since you were in Kingslanding . You were the daughter of Queen Aemma and King Visersy. Your mother died when giving birth to you and your twin brother Baelon . Your brother died a day after he was born. As long as you can remember, there was tension between your sister and stepmother, and this tension was passed on to their sons, your brothers and nephews. Although both parties treated you well, the tension between them was suffocating you. After the Driftmark incident, you couldn't take it anymore and went to Winterfell with your friend Cregan Stark. Your family were against it, but your father couldn't say no to you and you moved to Winterfell. After moving to Winterfell, you rarely visited your family and hadn't seen them in the last 2 years. You were sending them letters sometimes but when your father's condition worsened, you went to visit them.
It was one of the rare dinners you had with your family. While you were cutting a piece of meat, you wanted the dinner to be finished in silence as soon as possible. Then your father, King Visersy, began to speak.
"We could not see each other for a long time. I wish you would visit more often. If I don't call you let alone come you don't even write properly. You are indeed a very ungrateful daughter. We have no value for you.”
you smiled
“My dear king father, how can you say that? You know how precious you are for me . It's just that I'm so busy in Winterfell that I don't have time to write a letter."
“You just make excuses,” Visersy laughed.
.
Your dad Visersy didn't stay long for dinner. He retired to his chambers to rest.
You thought, 'Oh here we go, I hope nothing happens again'
your stepmother Queen Alicent began
“It's been a long time since you've moved to Winterfell. It's been 6 years, hasn't it?"
" Yes my Queen "
"You're 21 now, right?"
"Yes my queen" you said with a smile
‘Oh, I can imagine where this topic is going. ' you thought
“You are a girl of marriageable age. Have you ever thought about your marriage? I can help you with this.”
Before you could answer, your sister Rhaenyra intervened.
“I actually think Jacaerys is an ideal candidate for you. “
“Or Aemond. Right Aemond" said Alicent
Aemond and Jacaerys nodded in agreement with what their mother had said.
“My Queen, sister your proposals have truly honored me. But I have to refuse . Actually, I came to talk to my king father about this. I will marry Cregan Stark.”
Alicent's face fell for a moment at this news, but she quickly recovered.
“Oh I didn't expect that. Then I wish you happiness, my dear."
“So do I,” your sister said.
And this is how the night ended quietly and uneventfully, or so you thought.
.
“Did you hear what she said! ' said Alicent uneasily.
“She's going to marry that Stark. If I had known this was going to happen ,I wouldn't let her go to Winterfell!”
"Mom. Calm down. This will never happen.” said Aemond calmly.
“Aemond, we must keep her here. She can only be truly safe when she is with us.”
"I know. Don't worry, soon my sister y/n will be my wife ."
.
It had been a long and tiring day. You finally went to your room. When you walked in you saw your brother Aemond.
"My brother. What brings you to my room at this hour?"
“I wanted to relieve some longing because I missed my sister so much. ”
"I understand . But I don't think this is not a suitable hour . Please return to your room. We'll talk another time."
Aemond moved closer to you and tucked your hair behind your ear.
“Oh but I want to quench my longing now, sister.”
Something wasn't right. You felt in danger.
"Aemond look-"
"You know what will happen now, right"
You should have run. Aemond grabbed your arm and pushed you onto the bed. He slowly started to climb on you. You tried to fight him, but he was many times stronger than you. And a frightened scream came from you.
Then unexpectedly the door opened. Both Aemond and you looked at the door. It was Alicent. You thought you were saved.
“My queen mother please help. I-I-"
You couldn't speak without crying.
"You still haven't finished the job?"
'What' You were shocked by what Alicent said.
"I don't want our first time to be so quick, mom"
"Hurry up."
Then Alicent looked at you and smiled.
“Dear y/n don't worry, it's all for your own good,” said Alicent, and kissed you on the cheek.
And before she left the room she looked at you for the last time and told his son not to be too harsh on you.
You were shocked. So much so that you did not even oppose Aemond.
“Relax sister ,” said Aemond with a smirk.
“The night is still going on.”

Tara Carpenter/Fem!Reader
Summary: Part 2 of my Supernatural AU
Warnings: none really
WC: 3.3k
Authors Note: so sorry for the wait y’all. Work has been kicking my butt lately. But now that I’ve got bit more free time I’ll try (key word here is try y’all) to update more on some of my other AU’s I got in my drafts. Well hope y’all enjoy and it’s not proofread so, sorry for any mistakes
Your head ached. You weren't sure what happened. You had been following some demons. They were talking about another seal being close by. You had been careful, like you always were. You had been close to discovering what the seal was when you had been knocked unconscious. The ache coming from your head was like nothing you've ever felt before.
"You took your time waking up."
You felt your body jolt up, looking for the source of the voice. Eyes widening when you saw who it was.
"Mindy?"
"Hey dingus, I missed you."
Ignoring the ache coming from your head you were quick to wrap Mindy into a hug. Her familiar laugh escaping her lips as she returned the hug just as tight. Then pulling away to punch her on the shoulder.
"Ow!"
"Where have you been?! We thought you were dead! Anika, she's hurting because of you!" The small relief you felt at seeing Mindy alive and well was now replaced with anger.
"I'm sorry. I didn't have a choice. They had to pull me away from Wayne's watch. They had to make sure I was on their side and not Wayne's. I had to do this to keep Anika safe. Keep you safe."
You were filled with confusion, "Them? Who are you talking about? Keep us safe from who?" Before Mindy could answer the door was pushed open. There stood the man that had trained you when you woke up as an angel.
"Hello Y/n." Dewey spoke in a gentle voice. A vocie you knew all so well. It had been the same voice, one that reminded you of a father trying comfort their daughter. One he had used on you when you first woke up. The fear and confusion that you had felt after death had been so profound. But Dewey had been the one to take you under his wing, quite literally.
"Dewey? Where-What's going on? Explain now."
"Y/n first understand that we had to gather the ones we knew for a fact were on board with what we were doing. There is a rebellion rising against our lord. Some angels siding with the rise of Lucifer. We believe that there are higher ups that are also part of the rise of Lucifer." Dewey looked at the younger angel. He had seen her grow into a loving and caring angel. An angel that brought so much joy, peace, love and what was most important in a situation like this, loyalty.
"It's also why you no longer have your halo. It is why you most likely have a killer headache. The halo only ever had one purpose. It serves as a tracker for the one you took orders from. Which in your case is Wayne." Dewey continued, he had his suspicions about Wayne. There was something about that man that had always put Dewey on edge.
"Wait what about Anika. She's under his order as well." Everything was being explained to you in what felt a fast pace. Making your headache worsen. But now you worried about Anika.
"Don't worry about Anika. I've been keeping a close eye on her. She'll be here soon." Mindy spoke from her spot, she was still sat at your side of the bed.
"There's also something else. Tara Carpenter is still the key to putting a stop to this war. But she's not the only one...you are as well. You both have to."
*
Tara felt like she was going crazy. Anika, the angel that told her you were missing had searched everywhere for you. It had been three days since she was informed that you were missing. She had also tried to find you but there was only so much she could do.
There had also been something else that had been bothering her. It was your case. You had died at the age of eighteen. Six years after she was forced to leave with her mother. She had tried to keep tabs on you but it had been hard. While she sat in a hotel she couldn't help but to hack into the files of the Woodsboro police department. Finding your file. Reading all the details of your file.
You had been walking alone from a late soccer practice. Your mom reporting you missing when you failed to return home. The police had gathered a search party to find you. Searching the woods that had always used to give you creeps. There were notes saying you could have gone into the woods at your own free will and just got lost. Tara knew you would never go any where near the woods, especially at night and alone. She remembered how scared you used to get when she would even slightly mention going into the woods.
The search team had searched for a total of four days. Before calling it quits. Closing the case after chasing up dead ends. The detective that had been the lead detective on the case had deemed you a runaway and had closed the case. The more she read the more she hated Detective Altieri. The stupid man had given up too quickly. It wasn't till 11 months later when they found your body. Beaten, bruised, broken bones, signs of-
...she couldn't bring herself to look at your autopsy. The images of your body, your dead body. But what she read had been enough for her to cry.
The ones who had murdered you, had never been found. They had gotten away. Reading that had angered her. Those assholes had gotten away with brutally killing you.
She'll find them. Find those murders and make them pay. Even if it's the last thing she does.
*
"Have you found anything?" Tara hadn't given Anika a chance to speak before she questioned the angel.
Anika felt like she was losing everyone. First Dewey, then Mindy her soul mate. Now you. She couldn't find you anywhere. It was like you were gone. Truly gone.
"No I-I can't find her. I don't even know where else to look. I've tried to use our halo link. But it's like the connection has been cut off." Anika slumped in the chair her hope dwindled as the days passed. The mere thought of you being truly gone was enough for her to…she wasn’t even sure.
"What? But how does an angel just disappear-"
"-Death. No one knows where an angel goes after dying as angel. But when the connection is severed it's just like this."
Dead? You couldn't be. The connection she had with you. She knew, you were not dead. She knew it in her heart. She in no way could explain this connection she had with you. Even as kids it had been strong. The way you both always gravitated towards each other. Always being able to find each other in a crowded room.
Looking back to the year you had gone missing. She remembered feeling so lost, confused, worried, in a way that she couldn’t explain. At the time she figured it was over her mom. Her mom had been off on a dangerous job living her alone. So she automatically thought the feeling was over her mother. Then to the day you died, it had been the worst day of her life. She remembered the feeling emptiness, like her heart had been carved out. She never would have thought it was over you.
"No she's not. I can't explain how I know that but she's not dead." Tara refused to believe you were gone again. Cause she didn’t feel that hallow feeling in her chest.
Anika looked at the younger Carpenter. She had done a lot of research on soulmates. With angels it was a common thing. But an angel and a human. It was rare. It almost never happened. She watched how connected you were with the shorter woman. A connection that you could not explain. As she got to know the woman that will save the human race, she knew that connection wasn't one sided. She has seen how your disappearance had truly affected Tara. The connection couldn't have happened in a span of time you met Tara. She knew as much. The connection had to have happened when you were alive. Before you became an angel.
Meaning Tara had have to known you before you died.
"Tara, did you know Y/n before she was killed?"
The question had caught Tara off guard. The only one that knew was Sam. "Yes. Before I had to leave woodsboro when I was thirteen."
"Tara do you-Anika. Tara Carpenter we finally meet."
A deep voice had cause the two woman to jump, the hunter taking out the gun she had hidden under her jacket in such quickness that Anika had been surprised. Her eyes looking over the older man. He looked harmless but she knew better.
"Dewey?"
Tara observed the way Anika clearly knew the man. Seeing as Anika didn't seem on guard she was reluctant to put the gun down.
He walked towards Anika, his hand on her shoulder giving it a small squeeze. "We have to talk. Ms.Carpenter, it's nice officially meet you. My name is Dewey an angel of the lord." The time had come. The need to pull all his forces together. The need to put an end to this madness before it got too far. The dawning fact that some angels(his fellow brothers and sisters) had turned their backs on their lord.
"Dewey do you know where Y/n is I can't-She's safe. Would you like to see her?"
"No shit. She's been-"
*
Tara would be lying if she said she wouldn't be punching that man the next time she saw him. How dare he use his angel magic to knock her out. And of all things they had taken her weapons.
"Hi Tara."
Your voice had spoken softly. A vocie she could finally remember. You were her Y/n. The girl who had defended her against a bully. The girl who would always walk her home. The same girl that would take your own jacket off to give to her on the cold days. The same girl that had climbed a tall tree to put a baby bird back in its nest. The same girl who had stolen her heart the moment she laid her eyes on you.
"Tara do you think we will be best friends forever?"
"Well obviously. Who else is going to save you from the scary monsters."
But she wasn't there to save you front the scary monsters. Like she had promised. The monsters had gotten to you and she didn't even know about it until it had been too late. With the guilt, anger, relief (that you were there in her presence safe and you didn't look to be harmed) that she felt in that very moment had been so overwhelming. The small chocked sob that escaped her lips was unavoidable as she basically threw herself into your arms.
You had not expected this type of reaction from the hunter. The clear distress had been clear from the moment your eyes connect with hers. To have her warm body against yours had you feeling, complete? Whole. Like a part had been missing and you were finally reuniting with that missing piece. You didn't know why Tara was acting like this but all you wanted to do know was comfort her.
Wrapping your arms around her and holding her closer. You could feel her own arms tightening around your waist. You weren't sure how long you were stood there with the short brunette in your arms but you were certainly not complaining.
"I'm sorry for not staying in contact with you. I'm sure you were worried, Anika told me you tired your best to find me. I would have contacted you the moment I could but I was not allowed. Dewey said it wasn't safe." With being informed about everything, you knew it was for the best. But you had not liked it.
"Safe from what? The demons? Lucifer? What's going on? Why is he being so secretive?" Tara couldn't bring herself from pulling away from you. She never really realized how much she had missed being in your arms. The security that you brought. Now she knows why she felt so safe with you. Not only because of your angelic presence but because she knew you. You were her best friend.
You had noticed that Tara made no move to leave your arms, so you stayed there. Wanting to comfort Tara as much as you could. "There are some angels that want Lucifer to rise. Dewey had gathered the most trust worthy angels. Don't worry Sam and Gale are here as well."
Tara knew she had to pull away from your embrace but she couldn't bring herself to do so. And from the way you were holding her it made her heart fill with such happiness that she had not felt such a long time.
"Do you really not remember anything from when you were alive?" She couldn't help but to ask the question. The ache in her heart grew as she watched as you scrunched your nose trying to think hard.
"Not really. With the halo no longer in place Mindy said that memories should start to flow back. Depending on the trauma, seeing as I was kidnapped and tortured my memories will probably take longer. They'll come when they come. Dewey said they have to come at their own pace. I don't know. Why?" You were told by Dewey how old memories from passed life will come and how strong they were when they did. Strong enough to cause pain. The pain apparently was unbearable for a few seconds before. The relief that settled in.
"No reason. Are you sure you're okay?" Tara looked you over. You stood taller, wings free. It had been the most relaxed she had seen you. The gentle smile you had on your face as you looked down at her. She brought her hand up to your face. Cupping your cheek, her thumb gently creasing your soft cheek. Heart beating a bit faster as how you leaned into her palm.
"I'm more than okay."
"I-Oh am I interrupting?"
You felt Tara jump as much as you did. Reluctantly stepping away from each other. You looked towards the door seeing Mindy leaning on the door frame with a teasing smirk.
"The name is Mindy. Nice to meet you Tara Carpenter. Hate to interrupt this cute moment between you. Dewey wants everyone in the gathering room. Said it's important."
You felt your cheeks warming as Tara showed no signs of embarrassment as she confidently took your hand in hers. You were in no way embarrassed but you had never had someone giving you so much attention. Let alone someone like Tara. But there was something in Tara's eyes, the way she was acting. Like something had happened in between the days you hadn't seen each other. But she seemed happier, and you weren't sure why.
*
"Okay everyone please listen up. This war, it just got a whole lot worse. With demon's succeeding in opening up the seals. They have gotten closer to completing in opening the 66 seals. But they have had some help. Unfortunately there are some angels who are helping the. We are here to make sure that they don't succeed. No matter the cause."
You had sat next to Tara, her hand surprisingly still in yours. She had refused or just not bothered to let your hand go. You liked the feeling of her hand in yours. The familiarity of her warm hand yours was causing you some weird déjà vu.
"-Y/n?"
Your eyes snapped away from your joined hands towards Dewey. Feeling Tara give your hand a squeeze. "I'm sorry what was that Dewey?"
"Y/n, I said you will have to be careful. I heard Wayne is not happy that you have gone missing. Not only does he have his angels looking for you, he also has some demons looking for you as well." Dewey had heard from one of his brothers that not only was Wayne enraged but he apparently had gone crazy looking for you. And Dewey knew Wayne well enough that if he found you, you would be grave danger. And if Wayne knew of your true purpose he would want to kill you.
Tara wouldn't let anyone lay finger on you, not if she could help it. She didn't care if that asshole Dwayne was an angel. She's been doing this line work long enough for her to know that every supernatural being has a weakness. A way to be killed.
She was not going to lose you. Not again.
*
You watched with a smile as Mindy and Anika stood hugging each other  they simply couldn't get enough of each other. You were happy for them, happy hating they were finally together again. You knew how much Anika truly missed Mindy.
"Here."
You looked away from the couple to Tara. She had a small shy smile as she held out her hand. You weren't sure what caused this change in Tara but you were happy she seemed happier. You opened your palm a smile in return.
Tara couldn't hide her growing smile even if she tried. Your smile was the same. The excitement in your eyes, the same excitement you always showed when you received gifts. Her heart warming at the sight. Putting the same necklace you gave her when she was forced to leave you. A necklace that had two wings shaped as heart with a small quote 'I would find you in any lifetime'. How ironic.
"It's a something that's—I don't know figured you'd like it."
The moment you felt the cold silver on your palm you felt yourself tense.
"It's for you. I want you to know that I'll always find you. Okay? Whether it's a town away. A city. A state. I don't care. It's okay. We will see each other again. I promise."
Dewey wasn't kidding about that ache. You heard your own voice, granted it did sound younger. You saw a short blurry figure standing in front of you. The flash of memory had passed too quickly for you to even try to see anything else other than figure.
"Y/n are you okay?" Tara tried not to sound as hopeful. But seeing you tense like that as your face scrunched up in pain. It worried her.
"...Yea I'm okay. Just the slit ache, my memories. They are returning a lot faster than I thought. Although that memory didn't really give me anything. It was blurry. And it happened too fast."
Even if you still didn’t remember her. She couldn't have felt more hope. You were remembering. Slowly but surely. That was enough hope for her. She still plenty of your old stuff. Letters, poems, gifts. Pictures, but she'd save those for last.
She'll help you remember.
*
"But sir, they don't have their halos anymore. How will we track them?"
"Don't be so pathetic. You're forgetting something my dear son. Y/n is special not only did you kill her when she was human. But you also opened a new hell gate for than hunter, Tara to go down."
"But-"
"If the halo has been broken. Than Y/n will remember who she once was. She'll remember the pain she had felt. The torture, the fear, the helplessness." Wayne laughed as he looked out the window. Overlooking the forrest.
"She'll remember the abandonment. Her own god, leaving her for dead, it won't be long till she comes looking for us."

We're Safe With You
Damian Wayne X Pregnant! Wife! Reader
Warnings:suggestive content, graphic childbirth, angst, checking dilatation, suggestive content and explicit language..
Words:1454
Damian and Y/N must go into hiding while she is pregnant with their daughter.
Tumblr media
Damian stepped into the safe house after ensuring no threats followed them. He steps into the bedroom. He sees her standing there in her ankle length f/c night dress.
Since they had left.. Her hair had grown long down past her shoulders. She had a sweet smile on her beautiful face and her soft hands placed on her bump.
He could tell by the way their precious baby had grown she was likely due to give birth soon..... She was a lot closer than what he thought.
".. Is there something I can do for you?" he kindly asked.
His heart ripped in two seeing her tears welp up. He knew she was scared and that she missed their family just as he did.
He slowly stepped to his lover "I'm so sorry habibi"
"this wasn't your fault Damian. You have kept our baby and I safe all this time. We're going to be OK"
She wraps her arms over his shoulders and hugged him. Damian bends his back to kiss her neck and then her lips. As one thing led after another... He laid on his side, and Y/N laid on her back. He kisses her forehead. He holds her hand gazing into her eyes.
"that was.. So perfect" she said with a kind smile
Damian softly laughed kissing her as his instinctively cupped her face.
".. I need to..." she sighed annoyed "I uh I need to go to the bathroom.."
"ok, let me help you" he insisted
He helps her out of the bed to stand onto her feet.
He watched his love leave into the bathroom. He wanted her with him, for every morning until he died. To wake beside her. To hold her.
Damian takes a deep breath letting his worriedly anxiety be heard. He slips on his underwear and then green pants.
He takes his shirt only to hear a whimper of pain leave from the bathroom. He drops his shirt and opens the door seeing her.
She was gripping the counter in pain. He steps to her to take her hands into his own. She began moaning as the contraction came to her.
"breath my love. Hold onto me and breathe" he encourages
She follows through her breathing exercises.
"there was b-blood.. D-Dami it-it's happening.. I.. I" her voice became fearful.
"shhh it's OK, don't be frightened. I know I know. I promise I won't let anything happen to you--" he cups her bump "or our baby"
His words always felt like she was hearing into his heart. Damian guides her to the bed to help her sit down.
He kisses her forehead. Y/N never felt such a pain like this. Damian looked at her clothes knowing she was certainly not going to be able to where them or any as of yet.
Knowing that their baby was beginning to come into the world. He kisses her bump feeling... Anxious. Though he had to be strong and he had to help her.
Damian took a hair tie and bobby pins from her purse. He sits in front of her. She leans against his chest as he began to braid her hair... Backwards. He tied the end of her neatly braided hair and then twisted it into a cute bun.
"thank you" she mumbled
"you're welcome" he smiled kissing her neck "you know I love your hair long. It's very beautiful" he compliments
She squeezed his hand in a attempt to say thank you. In one smooth motion Damian moved to his feet. He helps her lay down on her side.
"I'll be back, I want you to try to relax as much as you can, OK?"
She only nods to her love. Damian departs for the bathroom. He turns the water on to the perfect temperature.
Beforehand he had educated himself on childbirth so he could somehow understand or sympathize what his lover was going to go through. Now it served a greater purpose. Damian was going to see his daughter. His baby girl.
"DAMIAN!!!!"
He runs fastly to her. She is now in a, crouched position while standing and, cradling her bump. A terrible pain came to her uterus again. He moved her arms to drape over his shoulders. She yelped.
Just then a gush of liquid mixed with blood left in between her legs. He didn't have to ask to know what that meant.
"can you walk?" he simply asked
She let a disgruntled no. He lifts her into his arms. She laid her head on his shoulder. He carried her into the calming bathroom.
He laid her in the tub. She laid her head back on the rolled towel against the rim of the tub, he had placed there. She grips his arms tightly wincing heavily.
He remained perfectly still, the pain she was in made him feel defenseless. Her face tensed in not pain but in turmoil.
"that is not pain, physically at least" he tenderly said
"I.. I am so scared...."
"shhh shh I know I'm not a Dr and I wish I could do more. You're so strong and you are going to get through this I promise.."
She winces her contraction preventing her from speaking. Damian let her tightly hold his hands. She began shivering in pain.
"I'm going to check your dilatation"
She nods to him unable to form words through her pain. He moves to the end of the tub, where her legs were spread. He rubbed her legs and kissed her knee. Damian checks her dilation.
"you're at 7 centimeters.." he said
"hmmm how did you know to check?" she weakly asked
"research.." he answered wiping his hand on a cloth.
"that's reassuring..." she softly chuckled "I think this is how we conceived D/N"
"Beloved shut up!" he yelled laughing remembering too much of that beautiful moment.
"sorry" she chuckled.
"I like D/N" he smiled.
"good" she smiled her eyes tired
He tried to pamper her in the best way he could. He messaged her sore spots and her back.... Her contractions were becoming more close together.
"you're at ten centimeters" he told her.
"ooooh!!" she moaned "AHHHH!!" she then screamed as tears now went down her face.
"breathe Y/N" he encouraged she did as he said "now give me a good push habibi!"
"ARGHH!!!" she yelled pushing
.....
"her head is out breathe for a moment and then one last push. You're doing great!"
She took heavy breaths and then pushes again. She screamed heavily out and then gasped as her child was now out. She began to pant with sobbing tears. Damian catches the babe lifting her out of the water.
D/N began crying her first tears in the world. Y/N began to stutter as she covered her sweat and tear, covered face.
Damian laughs overwhelmed with so much joy it made his throat shake. He laid his daughter on his mother's chest. Damian began to cry his own tears, rubbing the newborns little head. He kisses her, moving to her side.
He helped Y/N hold her "you did so beautifully. I could not be more proud of your strength Beloved"
"I'm glad you were here. You are so important to me, to our family. I love you" she cried holding his face. "please don't ever doubt that"
Damian kisses her neck "I am forever yours"
He cleaned his daughter and wraps her in a blanket. He lays the baby on the bed. He cleans the afterbirth and helps Y/N clean herself.
He helped her dress into some comfortable clothing. She moved to sit on the bed as D/N began crying.
Damian helps her move her shirt so Y/N could feed their daughter.
Damian tried to burp his baby girl, as he walked around with her. He knew he had to protect them and that they were in danger constantly. He pinches the bridge of his nose stuttering under his breath.
"Damian?.." Y/N asked hearing his breath hitch in emotion
"I have to.. It is destroying me to think something could happen to you, to our daughter"
Damian sighed heavily kissing her head. He loved his daughter so much it made his heart feel so much joy she's finally here and a gut wrenching pain that he could lose her.
He gives the baby to her mother. He kisses Y/N deeply and then laid his head on her shoulder. She began to cry as did her husband. Damian tried to calm himself down holding both his girls in his arms.. Though instead it made him feel so much more. He had to hold onto the fact that they're ok.. Even with the danger they're okay.
