What if the jedi had like a galactic culture day/week where the jedi all dressed in the traditional garments of their home planet and the initiates/padawans got to have a week where they focused on fun traditions and cooked food from different planets each day etc.
And like, sucks for Anakin obviously since he isn't keen to celebrate Tatooine culture so after his first disastrous culture day Obi-Wan keeps them far away from the temple.
Well now Anakin's grown up and often away when he is on Corucant anyway... so Obi-Wan decides to partake in culture day for the first time in a decade.
And (noe we get to the point) the cultural garments of Stewjon are slutty. Or maybe they technically aren't. Like maybe Obi-Wan's kilt from ten years ago is now a bit short and tight but he doesn't have time to replace it. Or the outfit is not slutty exactly, but it is pretty revealing, and no one is used to seeing mr modesty show any skin so it is quite scandalous.
And! Then Anakin comes back to the temple to see his barely dressed master all tipsy from the celebrations...
And then... Obi-Wan gets railed.

Okay I love the fanon Dooku and Obi-Wan dynamic and all of them getting along and being a great master and Padawan pair.
But consider...
Au where for whatever reason Dooku has to take on Obi-Wan's apprenticeship and they absolutely hate each other.
Dooku (68 and trying to get seduced to the dark side): are you going to tattle to the council again?
Obi-Wan (19 and not having it): are you going to drop protocol and try to choke someone out with the Force again?
Like Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon always had their moments of friction but the level of ice that can develop between Dooku and Obi-Wan is legendary.
Obi-Wan: Master I don't think siding with capitalists and billionaires will help the people of this planet like you think it will.
Dooku: the red tape of the republic-
Obi-Wan: is there to ensure walkways have guard rails. Do you see a guard rail here? If knighthood doesn't pan out I'm applying for a job with Space OSHA.
Dooku: Padawan the Jedi are the attack dogs of the Senate.
Obi-Wan: hey I am not the one using the force to choke people on my missions. I use my words. I think you'll find you're the one attacking--
Dooku: are you ever going to let that go?
Obi-Wan: of course Master! I know how to let go! Unlike you when you're crushing someone's windpipe!
Dooku: why you little-
Obi-Wan: *choking sounds*
Mace: you've been together for a month, surely this is just a rocky first step.
Dooku lifts his arm, Obi-Wan is biting him hanging off by his teeth: I'm going to level with you Master Windu. I was considering leaving the Jedi and joining a Sith Lord who plans to destroy the Jedi and take over the galaxy, but now my only desire is to get as far away from Obi-Wan Kenobi as I can and never speak to him again.

*22 BBY*
It was rare that Coruscant felt like anything less than the bustling city planet it was, but tonight, for once, you felt like you could take a deep breath. You hugged the baluster in front of you, your cheek resting on the side of it, below the railing, as you watched the sun began to set on the Coruscant skyline, your legs dangling over the edge of the balcony, freely swinging.
“You better not pass your Jedi trials while I’m gone.” You turn your gaze over to your friend, Anakin, who’s comment broke you out of your trance like gaze on the skyline. It wasn’t often the two of you just got to sit and relax together anymore, so you made sure to get at least one more sunset in together before he left for his first solo mission tomorrow morning, escorting Senator Amidala back to Naboo.
“Why?” You jokingly ask Anakin before adding “do you really think you’ll be able to pass them before me?” Smirking playfully at him, the setting sun casting a golden glow across his already tanned face.
Anakin scoffs and rolls his eyes, his smile betraying his attitude, “easily, if I wasn’t being sent on my first solo mission, you wouldn’t stand a chance.”
“Uh huh, of course, you already have an excuse on why you couldn’t beat me to it” You sarcastically respond, mocking him by rolling your eyes dramatically back at him. Anakin kicks your leg playfully, trying to maintain a façade of annoyance, but he couldn’t really hide his smile when with you. You were his closest friend and one of the few people he knew he could trust fully, and would never judge him, even when others may think critically of him.
Silence falls upon the two of you, as the sky turns from a golden glow to a vibrant orange and pink, the sun falling behind some of the skyscrapers along the Coruscant skyline, casting a halo like effect on the buildings. You happily swung your legs in the breeze, taking in the serene atmosphere once again, but you notice an unsettling energy to your left brewing.
“Any advice?” Anakin asks quietly, a rare moment of insecurity for the usually boisterous jedi padawan next to you. Your Master, Plo Koon, had already sent you on a few solo missions of your own, as you are a few years older than Anakin. You return your gaze over to Anakin with a soft smile.
“You’ll be fine, you’re already a stronger jedi than me when I left for my first solo mission, just trust the force.” You say softly, trying to snuff out the haze of insecurity, and surround him with a feeling of comfort instead.
“Obi-wan doesn’t think I can do it.”
“And yet, he didn’t forbid you from taking on this mission.” You say trying to remain positive, but he just scoffs at you, no playful smile in sight this time though.
“Obi Wan thinks I’m too unpredictable, doesn’t understand me,” you watch him solemnly as he takes a deep breath staring out to the darkening skyline. “He’s never listens, he’s overly critical… it’s like he doesn’t trust me.”
You felt for Anakin in this moment, your master challenged you and pushed you, but never once had you felt he was unfairly critically towards you, and it surprised you to hear him say those things about Obi Wan, but in reality, you didn’t spend that much time with Obi Wan and Anakin outside of training, so maybe that’s just how he always was with Anakin.
You wanted to help Anakin see the positive though, remind him of what could be if was successful at his mission. “This will be a great opportunity to prove yourself though,” you say softly, trying to give him a smile, before adding “and if you can handle this, you’ll be ready for the trials.”
“I already am ready.” Anakin replies bluntly, with no room for questioning, and you can feel his emotional walls building back up around, ones that he very rarely uses around you.
“Fine.” You try to reply nonchalantly, looking back towards the starlit skyline now dark with dusk, your legs still swinging softly in the wind. “You’ll prove to Obi Wan you’re ready for the trials,” you pause before adding “just don’t do anything stupid.” A sly smirk splays across your lips, hoping a small tease will bring him out of his spiral.
“Stupid?” Anakin asked bluntly, his heated gaze spun to face you but melting one he saw the small smirk across your face.
“Yeah, stupid.” You jokingly respond, kicking Anakin’s leg playfully. “I know you Anakin… sometimes you do things without thinking of the consequences-“
“Hey, that’s not fair” he cuts you off, but you give him a dirty look to the side. Anakin finally smirks and playfully roles his eyes “it’s not stupid if it works, it’s just a new way of doing things… one might even say I’m a trailblazer” Anakin says smiling at you and kicking his legs a bit.
“Uh huh, a real trailblazer” you sarcastically add, before saying “as long as Master Plo Koon and I don’t have to come save your ass… if I’m going to pass my jedi trials I can’t be getting distracted by your immature ways” Anakin playfully kicks your leg again “relax, I’m just kidding” you pause “you know I’d do anything for you…even if it’s cleaning up one of your messes.” Your laughter filling the once quiet atmosphere, as Anakin playfully shoves your shoulder, muttering something along the lines of how annoying you are.
*Present Day*
The harsh breathing of Lord Vader’s respirator breaks you out of your meditation in the corner of the dark, cold, steel room. You could hear him before you could feel him, his stare weighing heavily on you through the two-way mirror. Even if his breathing was quieter, you still would’ve noticed him. His presence, even from the other side of the glass, stole what little warmth was left in this room.
Often when he came to monitor you, you could feel him pressing against your mental walls, sometimes trying to dig, and sometimes pressing, just to remind you that he could try harder if he wanted to, but today it was quiet. There was no pressure on your mental walls, no digging, no poking, he was just there, looming, watching.
And that terrified you.

Im reading time travel fanfic rn heres a bunch stuff i havent seen yet. Theres A LOT of sw fanfic out there so they might exist but heres what i couldnt find when i did my last time travel fanfic binge back in like 2018 and im looking for now
I said this in its own post but WHERE are the fics where someone from tcw travels to the future, sees how much it SUCKS, and then go off the rails trying to fix it when they return
Old! Man! Clones! gimme one or a group of post- or rebellion era clones that end up in tcw. NO CLONE should be THAT AGE at that point in time and you can take that in so many directions
The time travelers are R2D2 and 3CPO only. This is hilarious chaos
Where are the crack fics? Every single fic is sad
Back in 2018 there was like 2 Ezra Bridger time travel fics DESPITE THE FREAKING FACT he found the world between worlds PLEASE tell me theres more now
Back in 2018 there were almost NO Leia time travel fics PLEASE i want to see her try and murder Anakin on first sight THE ANGST CONTENT IS RIGHT THERE
Han telling Obi-Wan that Leia named their kid after him. Obi-Wan is awkward. Han proceeds to say "the kid still turned to the dark side like his shitty grandpa, but hey, the thought was there!" slaps him on the shoulder and then walks away
Idk what age the twins are but they come from a universe where they grew up with Uncle Ben and around enough of his friends that they learned embarrassing stories about him. Someone says they're in a situation and one of the twins is like "i think what he's saying is this is between a 'told the Jedi Council they could kiss his ass as a teenager' and 'accidentally got married for the fourth time' on the Uncle Ben's Fuck Ups Scale" in front of a Anakin who's only ever seen the Perfect Jedi™️ Obi-Wan Kenobi act
Actually how about adult Anakin meeting teenager Obi-Wan? I havent seen that before
Anakin looking at Leia and immediately seeing Padme before becoming ultimately CRUSHED upon hearing her last name is Organa. Anakin's brain then jumps the gun to "i died in this war and Padme gets remarried"
Luke may be the (highly controversial at this time) Jedi but Leia is the diplomat and manages all the talking at the Temple/with the Council
Leia seeing her parents again!! Not Anakin and Padme. She talks to Bail and Breha!!
Leia spitting fire at Anakin as she yells to everyone in the room what he did to Alderaan. That he is a MONSTER and will NEVER EVER be her father
The tcw Council meeting the og trio. They get upitty about how Luke runs things. They get mad when they find out Leia was married. Han responds that "we're divorced so this attachment thing you're all upset about was apparently not actually a issue for her. Also, shes not a jedi"
Yoda and Luke vibing together on a frequency unseen before. Everyone already doesnt like Luke (the tcw jedi see him as some uneducated hippie) but this is just unnerving
OLD MAN BEN MEETING MASTER OBI-WAN KENOBI. It has been IMPOSSIBLE for me to find a fic with this since ppl always go the "reappear in younger body" trope
EDIT: ive thought of more
Found out i said this years ago but you know what its still true and i only found TWO fics like it when i searched yesterday: Ezra AND Ahsoka in tcw together
Obi-Wan and Luke appear in the tcw era. Obi-Wan convinces Luke to be Luke Lars, Anakin's nephew. Luke tries to get to know Anakin. Anakin tries to come to grips with the son of a guy he met once calling him Uncle Ani
A lot of fics the time traveling jedi just folds and regressed into their past self which is a valid psych thing but you know what fics i dont see? The trust being broken irreversibly. The jedi spent 3 years fighting with the clones and the next TWENTY being hunted by them. Give me a jedi that cant be calm around their old men. That cant walk on a star destroyer without fear. That attacks everyone who loved and trusted them in this time before running because survival takes over. In Obi-Wan's and Ahsoka's case, fight and flee hardest against Anakin
EDIT: more additions
Ben and Leia from the Kenobi series magically appear on the Negotiator/Resolute. Ben looks like he's homeless and Leia is a sassy child. Leia calls Ben "a old man that crawled out of a dumpster" and the clones laugh while Ben looks like he needs a drink. Cody sees how skinny Ben is and gets concerned. Anakin walks in on the clones thirsting over Ben and Anakin is traumatized. Obi-Wan thinks Ben must be a older brother or cousin or other relative of his birth family before he thinks time travel. Everyone thinks Ben is being cute by calling Leia "your highness" and "princess" before whoops what do you mean thats Alderaan's princess???
Same as above but sadder. Ben and Leia manage to slip out and by the time the group figures out Ben is Obi-Wan they're long gone. OR Ben looked around, realized he was surrounded by his trauma, and fought his way out. Either way Ben and Leia end up being chased by them planet to planet

Shadow in the Flame
Chapter 6: The Void Doesn’t Get Her
The sound of a body hitting the mat hard echoed through the training room.
“Again,” Aria ordered arms folded, completely unfazed by Robert’s groan from the floor.
He blinked up at the ceiling. “I’m seeing stars.”
“Great. Now aim for them,” Aria deadpanned. “Back on your feet, Reynolds. This isn’t ballet.”
Red Guardian chuckled. “I took ballet once. Strong thighs.”
Aria didn’t even blink. “Then use them to stop faceplanting like a tranquilized hippo.”
Walker winced. “Damn, she’s in full Stark mode today.”
“Stark mode?” Aria raised an eyebrow. “You haven’t seen Stark mode. That was me being nurturing.”
She turned her icy gaze to Yelena, who was lazily stretching against the wall. “Belova, if you’re done posing like a bored cat, maybe contribute something that doesn’t involve sass and eyeliner.”
Yelena smirked. “That’s 90% of my personality.”
“And 100% of the reason you’re getting flanked in every sim,” Aria shot back. “Move.”
Bucky leaned against the railing above, sipping his coffee like he was watching a reality show. “You know, she was like this as a teenager too. Used to critique Jarvis’s syntax.”
“Jarvis appreciated the feedback,” Aria muttered, resetting the training sim.
Robert slowly stood, wiping sweat from his brow. “I’m trying to go easy. I don’t want to accidentally vaporize anyone.”
“Sweet,” Aria said flatly. “But if I wanted sweet, I’d order a cupcake. You’re a nuke, Reynolds. Use it or at least stop getting your ass kicked by training bots with the IQ of a toaster.”
He gave her a dry look. “Toasters don’t punch.”
“Neither do you, apparently,” she quipped, turning back to the console. “Walker, your stance still says ‘college linebacker’ and not ‘covert ops.’ Try bending your knees before someone snaps them backwards.”
Walker groaned. “You know, most leaders offer constructive feedback.”
Aria raised a well manicurate finger. “You’re still alive. That is my constructive feedback.”
Yelena snorted.
“Look,” Aria said, pacing in front of them like a sarcastic general, “this next mission is supposed to be simple. Which means we’ll probably be on fire by minute three. If any of you panic or hesitate, I swear I will haunt you after I die. And not in a helpful, Obi-Wan kind of way. I mean full La llorona-level regret.”
Robert blinked. “You plan to die?”
“No,” she said dryly, “but statistically one of you will do something stupid enough to make me want to.”
She eyed each of them. “This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being sharp. Focused. Synchronized. You don’t have to like each other. You don’t even have to like me.”
A beat.
“Though I get it. I’m an acquired taste, a really expensive one""
Yelena muttered, “Like jet fuel and espresso.”
Aria smirked faintly. “Exactly.”
She stepped back and hit the panel again. Drones emerged, red lights blinking.
“Next round. Show me you’ve got more than banter and fragile egos.”
Robert inhaled and nodded.
Walker stretched his neck.
Yelena grinned. “Let’s dance, bots.”
Bucky sipped his coffee. “She’s terrifying.”
“Good,” Aria muttered.
---
The mission was supposed to be simple.
Controlled perimeter. Low-threat arms dealers. Bucky on point. Ghost in stealth. Aria coordinating strategy. Robert in support.
Everything went sideways in under three minutes.
Explosives. Hidden artillery. Panic.
“Evacuate, evacuate!” Aria yelled.
And then.
Aria cried out, short, sharp, wrong. She went down hard behind cover.
Across the field, Robert turned and time slowed.
He saw the blood blooming across her suit.
His body locked. Breath gone.
The Void stirred.
Something snapped.
The world blurred.
Noise fell away.
And the Void, that monstrous, ever-present storm behind his eyes howled for release.
Let her go, it whispered. She’s not yours to save.
“No” Robert muttered aloud.
She’s always been cold to you. Distant. She doesn’t care.
His eyes flickered black at the edges. His hands began to tremble.
“Robert!” her voice cut through the chaos. “Do not let that thing speak for you!”
He gasped, blinking.
“I know what’s in your head,” she growled, propped against the wall. “I’ve built tech like that voice. You’re not the monster. You’re the control.”
The Void snarled.
She’s lying. She pities you. She wouldn’t bleed like that for you.
He hovered on the edge.
His hands trembled.
Then her voice came again ragged, but fierce.
“Robert You can control it.”
He froze, panting. Black tendrils of the Void curled just beneath his skin.
“You’re not scared of breaking things anymore, remember?” she rasped, still conscious.
Robert stood firm. He looked at her bleeding, breath ragged, still fighting to stay awake and something inside him shifted.
He chose her voice.
Then something new took over.
Not fear. Not fury.
Focus.
He surged forward—precise, fast, calm. Like she trained him.
“Holy hell,” Bucky muttered. “He’s locked in.”
Robert knelt beside Aria, gently lifting her.
“You’re okay,” he said, voice shaking. “I got you.”
She grunted. “If you drop me, I swear I’ll rise from the dead to kill you.”
He laughed half delirious, half in awe and cradled her in his arms.
She clutched his collar, more from weakness than anything else. “Slow down, hero. I’m leaking.”
“I got you,” he whispered.
“You better,” she muttered. “I’m expensive.”
---
The Quinjet was already landing when he burst through the dust and chaos.
Bucky blinked. “Robert?”
He didn’t stop, just carried her up the ramp, fire in his eyes.
Yelena gaped. “Is this a battlefield rescue or a Nicholas Sparks adaptation?”
Red Guardian nudged her. “Sentry’s found his muse.”
Aria winced from where she lay in Robert’s arms. “Muse? I’m not bleeding for poetry, Alexei.”
Yelena whistled. “Even half-dead, she’s sarcastic. Tony’s daughter.”
Robert gently laid her down on the medical bench, refusing to let go of her hand.
The Void was quiet now. Watching. Waiting.
He ignored it.
“You’re going to be okay,” he said softly.
Aria gave him a look half stern, half soft. “Don’t make this a thing, Reynolds.”
“It’s already a thing,” he whispered.
She closed her eyes. “You’re sweet. That’ll get you killed.”
“Maybe,” he said. “But I’ll die carrying you out of the fire. Every time.”
He brushed a strand of hair off her face. “Hey, stay awake. We’re almost at the tower.”
Her lips twitched just a hint of something close to a smile.
Then, with perfect deadpan timing, she added, “You’re still terrible at hand-to-hand.”
Yelena burst into laughter from the cockpit. “She lives! And she’s fine. Classic Stark.”
Walker piped up, “We should probably schedule them a sparring session. With pillows.”
Robert caressed Aria’s head, quieter this time. “You scared the hell out of me.”
“Good. Now maybe you’ll stop hesitating,” she said, opening her eyes, Robert watching her like she hung stars above her head.
Red Guardian beamed. “That was like watching a Hallmark movie... but with violence.”
Robert sat down beside Aria, one arm still around her, as the medical systems kicked in.
Yelena leaned back in her seat, muttering with a grin, “This is getting better than Netflix.”
---
The elevator doors slid open with a ding, revealing Aria half-leaning, half-stumbling forward determined to walk on her own, despite the dried blood on her suit and the way her shoulder was clearly not working right.
Robert was right beside her, hands hovering like he wanted to help but knew better than to touch unless she asked.
“Aria” he started gently.
“I’m fine.”
“You’re limping.”
“I’m limping with style.”
“You got shot.”
“It’s a Thursday. Stark family tradition.”
She took another step, stumbled, and hissed through her teeth. Robert instantly reached for her again.
She batted him away with her good arm. “I said I’m fine.”
“You’re bleeding through the bandages.”
“I’ve bled through worse.”
Robert narrowed his eyes. “At least let me help you to your room.”
“No,” she said firmly. “Because the second I let you, Bucky’s gonna say I’ve gone soft and Yelena will tell everyone I’ve imprinted on you like a baby duck.”
“I already carry you around like a rom-com lead,” he muttered. “Might as well commit.”
That got a half-smirk from her. “Careful, Romeo. That kind of dedication gets people written into tragic poetry.”
He grinned, gently slipping his arm under hers despite the protest. “I’m okay with tragedy. As long as you’re still breathing at the end.”
“Charming,” she muttered, letting him support her just enough to take the weight off her right leg.
They shuffled toward her quarters in silence for a beat.
She limped toward the couch, trying to shrug off his assistance, but when her knees buckled slightly, Robert was already there hands steady, gentle, catching her before she hit the floor.
“Don’t say it,” she warned, pointing a gloved finger in his face as she settled with a wince onto the cushions.
“I didn’t say anything.”
“You thought it.”
He knelt down in front of her, glancing at her boots. “You want help getting these off?”
Aria narrowed her eyes. “Is that your polite way of asking if you can undress me?”
Robert raised both brows, biting back a grin. “I mean… only if you ask very nicely.”
She smirked despite herself. “That’s how people end up catching feelings and lawsuits.”
He gently began unlacing one boot anyway, his touch careful around the dried blood and scuffed armor.
“You don’t have to do this,” she said, quieter now. “I’ve taken worse hits.”
“Yeah,” he replied, “and I bet you brushed those off with the same charming personality.”
She snorted. “Once I made a SHIELD medic cry just by thanking him. It’s a gift.”
He tugged off her first boot, setting it down beside him, then moved to the second. “You’re not as scary as you pretend to be.”
“Keep talking like that and I will throw something at you.”
“Sure,” he said. “As soon as you can lift your arm without swearing.”
She went silent for a second. He looked up, saw the fatigue creeping into her face. The pain. The weight she always carried like a second skin.
“You really okay?” he asked again, softer this time.
“I’ll be fine,” she replied. “After I shower, sleep, and threaten Yelena into silence.”
He took her second boot off, then looked around. “You want help getting the rest of the suit off? Just asking as your medically concerned teammate. Not, you know… a creep.”
She gave him a deadpan look. “Robert. If you start unzipping anything, I will file a strongly worded memo to HR.”
He chuckled “You’re not great at letting people take care of you.”
“Nope.”
“And yet… here we are.”
She watched him quietly for a beat, expression unreadable.
“You care too much,” she said finally. “That’s dangerous.”
“I’ve been dangerous longer than I’ve been kind.”
That caught her attention. Her mouth twitched like she wanted to say something clever, but it came out quieter than expected.
“I don’t always know what to do with people like you.”
Robert looked up, boots off, hands resting on his knees. “People like me?”
“People who don’t give up on broken things.”
He stood slowly, careful not to crowd her. “You’re not broken, Aria.”
She raised an eyebrow. “Oh, Cielo. I was raised by Tony Stark. I come factory defective.”
He smiled, soft and sincere. “Still worth the repair.”
She looked at him for a long moment, then waved weakly toward the door. “Go before I start feeling feelings and call for backup.”
Robert moved toward the door but hesitated. “I’ll be right outside.”
“Of course you will.”
He paused at the door, hand on the frame.
“I meant what I said earlier,” he told her. “I'd carry you out of the fire again. Every time.”
She met his gaze, just for a second.
“Just don’t try to carry me into the shower. Or we’re both going out the window.”
The door slid shut between them.
And Robert—still smiling—took a seat right outside.
Just in case.

Hi! Can I get Anakin Skywalker + Til Death Do Us Part by Kait Weston? Thank you!
Tumblr media
TIL DEATH DO US PART
The bedroom you shared with Anakin had been left untouched for days since you came back from Mustafar. You had avoided going there all this time, until Obi-Wan talked to you and told you to go check it, as he believed it could make you start your grieving process.
As if he’d know anything about love, you thought bitterly as you stood at the door. He hasn’t loved anyone like I loved Anakin.
But you knew deep inside that he was right. Avoiding the room, the messy sheets, his night robe he always left on his side of the bed, would just make things worse. You knew your mind was desperately trying to pretend that everything was fine, he wasn’t dead. Mustafar never happened. The younglings are fine, probably training. Or playing. Maybe Palpatine got exposed, but Anakin helped the Jedi to defeat him.
But then your sense and memories reminded you of that day. It reminded you about you rushing to save Anakin, but you were too late. You got there to witness Obi-Wan defeat him, and it was like Anakin didn’t even see you, his eyes were on Obi-Wan the whole time as you screamed for him, frantically trying to see a way to get down, help drag him up, fix him.
But even then, you knew he was beyond fixing now. He would have been arrested and probably sentenced to death. You would only delay what would be coming for him anyway.
So you stepped into the room, breathing out with a small sob the moment you smelled Anakin’s scent lingering at the doorway. And you couldn’t bear to turn your head, so you made your way straight to the balcony, where you gripped the railing so hard you were unsure if it was healthy.
You took in a shaky breath, looking at the sky, the stars twinkling over Coruscant. Imagining he’d somehow hear you. “I’m sorry, Anakin. You had a hard time with what happened to your mother, and I didn’t fully see it before it was too late. The sight of what happened was haunting me, but I didn’t realise how much it was haunting you, how you needed help to overcome it. Seeing you turn into what killed you was a dagger to my heart, but I forgive you. I decided to keep my vow to you even after all this, til death do us part.”
You took in another breath, closing your eyes, letting yourself imagine for just a moment that Anakin wrapped his arms around you, telling you everything was alright. That it was just a bad dream, maybe make you laugh a little at the absurdity of it.
“Do you honestly think I would do such a thing?” he’d say, cupping your cheek. “I wouldn’t do anything that threatens what we have.”
But that wouldn’t happen, he would never come back.
Far away from Coruscant years later, Darth Vader stood at the deck of the large windows of this Imperial ship he was now commanding. Despite feeling slight regret for what he did to you in particular, leaving you alone, breaking all his promises, he quickly embraced the darkness. Master Palpatine told him that once he’d let the Dark Side take over, it’d give him power to get over all the useless heartbroken feelings.
But when he stared out from the windows, a whisper of something old and familiar suddenly engulfed him.
Your scent.
And your voice. A few echoing sobs first, followed by “What you did was a dagger to my heart, but I forgive you.”
It was like the Force itself carried your words to him through the galaxy, seeking for lost love, trying to find a heart those words belonged to. Vader squeezed his hands to fists, staring at the nothingness of space.
And for just a moment, he let himself feel the weight of words you spoke, the longing, the ache. You thought he was dead, and it was better that way.
“Til death do us part.”
It had parted you in a sense. Anakin Skywalker was dead and only he remained. At least that's what he was telling himself, Anakin was dead, Vader killed him, along with Anakin’s love for you.
If only he’d believe in it.

#i had forgotten that DW wasnt in peoples thoughts as a threat during the Clan Wars#and the idea that Pre was so far underground with the movement is a very good thing to remember as well! #on one hand you have this driven and spirited young verd that is inspiring Clans to start reassessing who they are fighting and why#on the other you have this clanless outsider that knows waaaaay too much about all the potential major players and is saying#that this major threat isnt really as gone as everybody thought and hoped. sith parallels out the wahoo for ppor obi#and hes standing there watching them all argue over his head about this threat that he KNOWS needs to be dealt with#he is seeing himself as pretty on par or above with the Old Guard in terms of mental age or prowess or large scale battles#so he sees them doubt him maybe even to his face and knows he'll need to get things started on his own
#and becauae everything in the galaxay has at least one person watching it from the outside... how quickly does the news of a jedi padawan#going off the rails on this mission get out? whos keeping track and who points fingers at the jedi for attempting to control the outcome#of the war of their historical enemies in their favor? the senate (read sith) want mandalore defanged before their war but what does it look#like the jedi want? how does the council answer for his actions? do they condemn or condone him? do they try to stay out of it?
#the world building potential of the Manda and the Ka'ra is delicious.#what does it mean to be a mando or darmanda? can you walk around and have people look at you and know you have failed in your oaths?
#and ouch! Obi-Wan considering the fact that he has never been allowed to be his own person.#from padawan to knight/master and then a general and councilor and sheesh. hes really never had the chance to see who he is as a person#outside of his responsibilities to everybody around him and right now hes a war worn adult in a war worn teens body#hes always had somebody else there. as a battle companion a teacher a student as somebody to protect and guard and guide#and now he has this entire culture looking at him and waiting for his next move. and im guess it still feels like less than a burden than#the care and raising of an entire child on his own. sure he had the temple resources and other jedi to lean on but anakin always looked to#him first to solve any problem or teach him something new or cuddle him after nightmares as hes trying to hide his own dreams#and grief and flounding to find his footing as an independent adult
#so right now hes looking around at the entire mando population and realizing thats he might need to reshape himself again for somebody else#to make himself what others need and knowing he can and will do it if it means saving somebody else
#and when exactly did he come back from the war? did he have satine die in his arms and see the ruin that is madalore after a pacifist reign?#does he see the potential for that ruin to happen right now if he doesnt succeed? where does he see himself in regards to the jedi?#has he considered the consequences of stepping up to be the Mand'alor to this culture he has never seen as his own?#has he let himself think about the choices he needs to make and how some things you cant always come out the other side the same as before?
(following the trend of each of these getting longer, this has hit just under 5,000 words, so just a heads up lol? so much world building is happening in this one)
sorry you had to rewrite so much! that last exchange was cursed, it seems lmao
it's so easy to write Obi-Wan as prescient, or the route I'm going with in Dha Kar'ta, so i think it's a fun change-up to have him knowledgeable for completely different reasons! I'm actually going to avoid visions almost at all for this Obi, but everyone else certainly won't know the difference, and he doesn't tell them otherwise (though he won't encourage it either. I do actually have a Naruto time travel where Nart pretends to be psychic à la Shawn Spencer, so that isn't the route I wanna go for this Obi). the consequences of knowing too much, indeed
hmmm many of these questions depend on how deep into Jedi and galactic politics I wanna go, and I'm not sure it's very deep at all. or at least, not very dragged out. i'll explain in a mo
SO first: yes, this Obi is from after Satine dies, in 19 BBY, maybe a month or so after, but before the bombing of the Temple so before Ahsoka left the Order. He was back on the front, no time to properly mourn, though he was doing his best, and was meditating on the whole war, but especially the Sith and their hand in everything that happened on Mandalore. It went deeper than Maul, he knew, had been going on longer than Maul and even Dooku, and it occurred to Obi-Wan that the Sith either wanted a Mandalore that will side with them but not be too much a threat, or they wanted them not a threat at all. He realised his hand in that, in helping put the New Mandalorians on the throne that led to the demilitarisation of the entire sector. Obi-Wan had practically teed Mandalore up for Dooku and then Maul's interference, and if the Republic won the war, he could all too easily see them doing another excision. won't get too much into it to save it for the fic, but he is mediating with something beskar, and he gets a lil too deep into the Force, and of course this is post-Mortis so...... 👀
so this Obi-Wan, back in time, is helping Mandalore to prevent any more Sith machinations in the future, to change the future for the whole galaxy, but even before he's Chosen, he realises he's also doing all of this for Mandalore. for his own hand in its destruction, for the Jedi's hand in the Excision, for his personal connection to Satine drawing Maul to it. it's for atonement, for reparation, and also because Mandalore deserves to be saved, and Obi-Wan is in a place he can help do that. it isn't just about the health of the galaxy, anymore.
I usually shy away from having Obi-Wan leave the Order, no matter what AU I'm throwing him in because I believe in the fundamental goodness of the Order and the people in it, and Obi-Wan is fundamentally a Jedi, one of the best, one of the best. however, in this case, I don't think he can have his cake and eat it too. if Dooku had to leave the Order to accept his countship, then Obi-Wan would have to leave to become Mand'alor. Jedi are (supposed to be) politically neutral, and Obi-Wan is all too aware he'd nullified his own neutrality the moment he decided to go for Keldabe to find Jango.
one of my favorite... tropes? in time travel fic is Obi using his future fellow councilmembers' access codes to get into things he shouldn't, and he certainly knows how to work the Order's internal systems in his favor, so he
wait so i was gonna have him go in and tender his resignation from the Order directly into the systems, and backdate it for before the Mandalore mission, so that anything he's done on Mandalore so far cannot be blamed on the Jedi BUT WHAT IF he just. deletes himself. like completely. from admin to the Archives to the crèche's own internal systems to the Shadow's private servers, Obi-Wan Kenobi was never a Jedi, was never a Temple bastard, was never Qui-Gon Jinn's padawan. his mission records are all in Qui-Gon's name now, his medical file simply doesn't exist, his crècheling clan is listed as simply having been a person short compared to other clans that year. he goes so far as to delete comm histories with him or mentioning him, it's like Obi-Wan Kenobi just doesn't exist anymore.
he does this first thing after leaving Jango, he spends the entire week back to Mandalore ensuring he's been completely erased from absolutely anything relating to the Jedi, and then uses his future councilmember knowledge (and lessons from Quinlan) to erase himself from Republic systems, too. any planet he'd helped as a padawan will suddenly have no records of him as having been there with his master, so the senate or Order can't subpoena them for the info, though Obi-Wan knows he can't have gotten everything (such as any planet not in the Republic, or who don't have holonet access to their files, or both, like Melida/Daan), but he figures he's done enough to absolve the Order if anyone comes knocking about what he's doing.
he buries his lightsaber in the deserts of Mandalore, not knowing that in his old future, he'd have done the same on Tatooine.
so as far as the Jedi are aware: Obi-Wan went on a mission with Qui-Gon that (predictably) went to hell, got separated from his master for weeks to months, then suddenly changed, at the same time their Jedi with the highest prescience collapsed due to his visions, which have also changed. Obi-Wan left Qui-Gon behind to hightail it through the Mandalore sector, and Qui-Gon couldn't catch up or find him, and then Obi-Wan disappeared from anyone's radars for two weeks. then Qui-Gon senses him reenter the Mandalore system, right before breaking his training bond with him, and the Order wakes up to Obi-Wan completely erased from their systems like he never existed in the first place. everything is going so so wrong, and yet. and yet.
and yet the Force is telling them all that this is right, that this is the least Dark course of action, that whatever Obi-Wan is doing is indeed the Will of the Force
so the Order mourns one of their own, and tells Qui-Gon to let him go. and then the Order ups their cyber security because what.
i think he leaves an unsigned letter/comm message for a few people. Bant, Quinlan, Mace, Feemor, his old crèchemaster, Yoda, maybe Jocasta Nu. it's short, basically thanking them for their hand in his upbringing (Feemor hasn't even met him before so is very confused by this), apologising for leaving abruptly, but to follow the Will of the Force, he had to leave; the first part of the message is all the same, but ends with little individual notes. he apologises to Madam Nu for fucking with her archives and hopes she can one day forgive him; he asks her to keep her friends close and to mend the tension between her and Dooku, that Obi-Wan should not know about. He tells Yoda that the future is always in motion but they must move with it; he asks Yoda to meditate on his dwindling lineages and learn to accept all that he cannot control. He reminds Quinlan to wear his gloves and asks him to thank Tholme for looking out for him when Qui-Gon wouldn't or didn't; he thanks him for their years together, and asks him to check in on Feemor every now and then. He apologises to Mace for all the shatter-points he likely caused and will continue to cause, and suggests he put a permanent reminder in his comm to remember to refill his migraine prescription that sixteen year-old Obi should not know about. He asks Bant to look out for a young Togruta initiate that will join in seven years, and suggests Bant might like the healer track rather than the knight corps; he thanks her for being his longest and most dearly-held friend. He thanks his crèchemaster for realising his visions were more than dreams (which will inadvertently lend credence to that theory for why Obi-Wan changed so suddenly), for supporting him when Bruck was at his nastiest, and for always being someone he could turn to even after he became a padawan. For Feemor, Obi-Wan apologises that they hadn't had the chance to meet before then, and for the relationship they won't have anymore; Feemor has no idea who this message is from, until he starts hearing the gossip that Obi-Wan Kenobi has left the Order again. He too mourns never getting to know his padawan brother.
and Obi-Wan sends Qui-Gon a message, of course, thanking him for his teachings, apologising for "leading him on" as an apprentice, leaving and coming back so many times only to permanently leave this time. he reminds Qui to reach out to his friends and his support system, asks him to at least consider talking to a mind or soul healer about Xanatos (knowing that once it gets out that Obi-Wan is a planetary leader, it will likely badly trigger Qui-Gon), and asks him to at least try and mend his relationship with Dooku, though understands if that's not something Qui-Gon is willing to do. asks him to keep Satine safe, but to deeply think about why the Republic is so intent on helping her faction, and why Qui-Gon had questioned so little of the New Mandalorian ethos.
so by the time Obi-Wan finds the Old Guard, he's broken from the Order completely, has buried his saber, has broken his training bond, has cut his braid. I think he shaves his head entirely to let it grow out at the same rate, because the padawan cut is *Eliot Spencer voice* Very Distinctive. he paints his armour white for, yes, his men, his vod'e, but also for cin vhetin. he can't be the man he was before, nor the teen he was before, neither are who Mandalore needs, and as long as he can stay true to his morals and upbringing, he will be what Mandalore needs him to be.
okay now onto the Manda vs. the Ka'ra vs. the Force. the Force is a scientific concept of an energy connecting absolutely everything in the universe, and the Jedi have a religious view on the scientific concept. for both purposes, the Force just is. I really like the idea of other non-Jedi ideas just being different aspects of the Force, different religions and cultures based on the same scientific concepts. for Mandalorians, their "aspect" of the Force is the Manda, the collective souls of every Mando'ade that's ever marched on. just what it means to be Mando'ade has varied greatly through history, and is varied between different groups even now, but none of that changes what the Manda is, which is an aspect of the Force only Mando'ade can touch. sort of like their beliefs of it being separate from the Force have made it so?
now I haven't really talked about this before, but from the beginning of me writing Mandalorian related things, i've separated Ka'ra from ka'ra, which was a little bit me misremembering there was another term for "stars", and then it became it's own thing. kar, meaning "star", with it's plural kar'e or kare, to me, means physical stars, the way we'd call our sun a star. ka'ra, uncapitalised, is the more poetic and/or spiritual "stars", the way we might say something is "written in the stars", which actually aligns with how jate'kara is spelled; for my writing, i've used this form for Mandalorian Force-sensitives being Star-touched ka'ra-touched. Ka'ra, capitalised, is that "ruling council of fallen kings", the Mandalorian myth and it, the way I've always interpreted it, is a separate part of the Manda made up of specifically the souls of every Mand'alor already marched on. So, Tor Vizsla could have joined the Manda after death, but not the Ka'ra; make sense? all that ka'ra vs Ka'ra worldbuilding was done very early in my writing for star wars, and has since expanded to include the idea of the Manda as something separate, and I would now actually consider Manda-touched over Star-touched to describe Force sensitive Mando'ade, because that's really what I think Mandalorians would consider causes their supernatural powers: ancestors rather than the stars.
so what does that mean for this fic? the Manda is directly influenced by all those that consider themselves Mandalorian, Force-sensitive or not. it is, however, not affected by New Mandalorians, unless they worship the Manda in some facsimile, and I think many, many, many do not, not the way they were raised to. this worship looks different for every clan and every individual, and I've always interpreted it as more of a broad spiritual practice across the whole culture rather than a religion, per se, the way a real-world broader culture might pray at shrines at New Years even if individuals themselves or their family aren't religious. this is what I'm referencing when I say the Will of the People: the alive Mando'ade and their choices and emotions affecting and influencing the Manda, the collective amalgamation of every passed-on Mando'ade, and it's when these two are in tandem that they "pick" a Mand'alor. HOWEVER, such a pick is also up to the Ka'ra, the Mand'alor'e that have all marched on; to one day enter the Ka'ra themselves, a Mand'alor must be "picked" by both the People/the Manda, and the Ka'ra. Tor would be "picked" by a significant part of the People and the Manda, and so would Jaster have been, but (according to me, myself, and i, obviously), only Jaster had been chosen by the Ka'ra. Pre is "Mand'alor" only in name, only in a tenuous loyalty existing in House Vizsla and Death Watch, not even by the Manda; just simple human (et al) loyalty. Jango had a weaker "pick" from the Manda than Jaster did, but was picked by the Ka'ra, meaning if he did not declare himself dar'manda (even just internally; I don't think he's ever said it out loud), he would have joined the Ka'ra after death; if he ever reconnects with himself as a Mandalorian, I like to think he'd have that chance again. Canon Jango, though, who went on to make the clones? Absolutely not.
what does this all mean for Obi-Wan? he'd spent weeks inadvertently drumming up support in the people and therefore the Manda, and maybe most haven't really looked at him and thought "sure I'd follow him as Mand'alor", but they have looked at him and thought "that one has mandokar, that one wants what's best for Mandalore, that one is touched by destiny". I dunno, man, like. Obi-Wan is their hope before he is their leader. That will make all the difference when he does end up uniting them. His searching out Jango had made Jango finally confront that he feels dar'manda, until then he hadn't really lost the Ka'ra's support, but that severs that connection. and now the Ka'ra are without a Mand'alor, but look at that, there's a mandokar'la little idiot right there, already strong in the Manda, already rallying hope and purpose, already so invested in the nurturing and the future of Mandalore, how could the Ka'ra not choose him?
I posed the question previously whether or not Mando'ade can tell who has been chosen to be Mand'alor, and I think I've ironed out what that'll mean for this fic. non-Force sensitive Mando'ade will have this sense when near their Mand'alor, a subconscious and inherent trust in them, and indeed, some will be disturbed by this and fight it. that's alright, that's their right. Some never clock this extra sense, some are aware of it always, some just chalk it up to "gut feelings" and the like. The more spiritual or religious Mandos maybe put a little more stock in this feelings, I think especially goran'e and other spiritual leaders, but the fact that the Manda can technically pick more than one person at a time (like Tor and Jaster, and then Jango), this extra sense isn't a perfect indicator of a properly chosen Manda'lor.
now. what about Force sensitive Mando'ade? Well, the Manda is an aspect of the Force, and is in fact how said Force sensitive Mando'ade connect to the Force, by going through the Manda, first. their relationship with sensitivity is inherently different from others in the galaxy, at least those that connect to it directly. they are the ones that can sense or see if someone is chosen by the Ka'ra, depending on their sensitivity. Some see the ghostly line of previous Mand'alor'e stretched out behind them (like the Avatar cycle lmao), some see a wavering crown of stars around their head, some just sense there is a duplicity (/neutral) to their Force presence that doesn't exist in anyone else. how common is Force sensitivity in Mandalorian space? not fuckin very. Jaster had three in his entire faction of aprox. 2 million (fanon number), at least that were aware they were sensitive. Jango only had a few more, and only because he had gained a couple hundred thousand more followers before Galidraan. so i'll make the nearly-arbitrary number that Force sensitive Mandos are 1 in 1,000,000, across the entire sector. by some calculations, in the whole galaxy at around the time of the Clone Wars the number of Force sensitives is 1 in 5,000,000 but these calculations do not generally include societies and species with a near or 100% chance of Force sensitivity, because we simply don't have the data for it. does this all make Mandos slightly more likely to be Force sensitive than others, by my own numbers? sorta. which i'm making an issue of underreporting, based on Mandalore not being a part of the Republic, and also contention with the Jedi and Sith; they don't consider those Manda-touched to be Force sensitive, and with the way I've built this, they aren't exactly wrong.
for the purposes of this story, there are maybe eight Manda-touched Mando'ade in the Mandalore system at this time, and all but one are goran'e. that single non-armorer is part of the Old Guard. I have the roster for the Old Guard decided, so I'm debating whether the Manda-touched one is Cort Davin (a journeyman protector), or one of the women. Instinct wants Vhonte Tervho, but I have plans for her to be related to the goran Obi-Wan got his armour done by, who I wanted to be one of the seven Force sensitive armorers, soooo. lmao how fucked would it be if Isabet Reau is the Force sensitive one? I like the angst of that, since I definitely do not plan on redeeming her, but I kind of want the only Old Guard that can sense Obi-Wan is Chosen by the Ka'ra to be really quiet and accepting of it, while everyone else is arguing. hmmm I have an unnamed Wren as part of the Guard, that I haven't fleshed anything out for yet; perhaps them?
okay I think I've solidified what it makes a Mandalorian, at least for the function of this fic. it is tied to the Resol'nare, and following it, which does allow those who had Chosen Tor Vizsla as their Mand'alor to technically still be following the Resol'nare, and are therefore not dar'manda. at least not for that. but part of the reason the Resol'nare is even able to determine who has a Mandalorian soul, is because they believe it does. Those alive and those dead influence the functionality and reality of the Manda, which also allows for those pre-Resol'nare to still exist in the Manda. What causes someone to become dar'manda, if they are technically following the Resol'nare?
maybe it's reductive, or over-simplified, or maybe even too broad, but it makes sense to me and allows for many many different types of people to still fail, and this is obviously not the only way to become dar'manda, but one thing that will always strip someone of their Mando soul? treatment of children. caring for children. not harming children. this allows many of Death Watch to still maintain their Mando souls, but still be fucked up awful people in other ways. It allows even True Mandalorians to have lost their souls and not realised it because they otherwise adhered to the Resol'nare, because they'd chosen to interpret "defending oneself and family" and "raising your children as Mandalorians" to not include other peoeple's children. Or maybe they were abusive in the belief they were caring for their children. This would also make every single one of the Cuy'val Dar dar'manda, which I think is a fascinating concept.
to answer your question directly, no, one cannot look at someone and know they're dar'manda, even the Force/Manda sensitive ones. one will only know in death, whether or not they have a place in the Manda.
NOW what does this mean for New Mandalorians?? well, by technicality and the way I've set the Manda up, one can interpret the Resol'nare in ways that could align with New Mandos. Perhaps they interpret "armour" as more than specifically "beskar'gam", maybe they wear armourweave or other protective fabrics. Maybe they interpret "defending one's family" as putting down arms instead of raising them, in order to create a peaceful future for their children. I think there are plenty of New Mandos that technically tick off all the boxes, and believe in themselves and their fellows so much that the Manda is like "yeah sure why not, we'll make that count". I think some tenants are more easily... bent, like swearing to the duchy in place of the Mand'alor, but I think an easy one New Mandos miss, is "speak Mando'a." I think many New Mandos were all too quick to switch to Basic for everything except religious and spiritual ceremonies, and I think those already in the Manda would find that very hard to forgive. I actually get into this a little in Dha Kar'ta very soon, but for this fic, i'll have Satine not outright outlawing Mando'a, but it is socially heavily discouraged. you're not allowed to speak it in the palace unless in aforementioned ceremonies, you cannot fill out paperwork in anything but Basic, you're not allowed to use Mando'a titles (including Mand'alor), you're not allowed to teach it to your children. no outright like. punishments for speaking it in public, but if your kids are caught, there are repercussions, including investigation into how else you're raising your kids, and if you're found to be doing anything else, they can take your kids from you. not every New Mando agrees with this, of course, and go about adhering to the Resol'nare as best they can in secret, but so many do give up the language by convincing themselves it's not as important as the other tenants and, well, the duchy hasn't steered them all wrong yet, has it?
okay so on the subject of what the outside galaxy is seeing. I like the headcanon/trope/idea of like. the one thing all factions of Mandalorians agreeing on is fuck everyone else. oh, the New Mandos will emulate the Core and the Republic, but they aren't the Republic nor want to be, and this animosity extends to keeping as many internal Mandlorian issues just that: internal. no faction can keep news from leaving the system or the sector, obviously, but there also isn't a lot of interest in Mandalorian news? "oh look all the Mandos are fighting again", except that's been the standard for like. actual thousands of years. I like when fic have people outside the sector not evening knowing there are different factions, so I'll be doing that here, too, and I like the idea of non-Republic sectors having their own holonets, separate from the Republic one. so like, if Obi-Wan happens to go a little viral during his mad dash to Keldabe, that would be on the Mandalorian holonet, not the Republic one, so even if Obi-Wan was visibly still a Jedi (and he wasn't), actual news of him wouldn't reach the Mid and Inner Rims until like. possible years after it happens.
could this maybe be expedited by Sith machinations? absolutely, though I'm not sure I want to go that route, since I don't think the Sith are overmuch interested in Mandalore at this point, at least not in any hands-on capacity. I'm unclear on whether them funding Death Watch is fanon or not, but it is a headcanon I subscribe to, and I think they'd have stopped funding DW after Galidraan, to cause worse infighting and prevent DW from gaining enough power to actually restart their imperial conquering days. Palpatine has been senator for about ten years by this point, but has very little political power overall, and Demask would be looking basically anywhere but Mandalore at this point in time, both of them having written it off until they actively need something from the sector. if anyone had clocked Obi-Wan as a Jedi, this all would have gone very differently, news would have spread much further and quicker and I think undoubtedly would have reached Palpatine, but since I have Obi-Wan just... cutting ties to anything Jedi, news of him remains in-sector. is this perhaps unrealistic? maybe, but I kind of want to focus on Mandalore and not worry about galactic-wide politics for once, lmao, actually very much like Obi-Wan is doing. however, he will clock a lack of Sith interference and thinks That's Very Weird.
haven't decided how he finds Palpatine out yet, but I think it'll have to do with his Manda senses being different than his Force ones, maybe the Ka'ra even gives him a few tips or gifts to sense Sith since they've allied and fought with them so much in the past. regardless, that'll be after he's become Mand'alor and united the clans.
now to actual plot progression! Obi-Wan meets up with the Old Guard, they don't know what to make of him other than "he's kriffing weird. and young. and creepy. and probably Manda-touched." whatever other verd is Manda-touched will see him blessed by the Ka'ra, which causes them to look inwards more closely and realise they trust Obi-Wan inexplicably, which means they're blessed by the Manda and the Will of the People, too. they wonder if Obi-Wan has noticed, if any of the other Old Guard have noticed. they are one of a few that notice Obi-Wan sneaking back out while everyone is arguing.
Vhonte Tervho is another. She's at this lil summit to represent clan Tervho, tho isn't the clan head, because her ba'vodu, a Manda-touched goran, had sensed she needed to be at the summit. said ba'vodu is of course the armorer who reforged Obi-Wan's armour (need to find a name for them hmm), who had told their clan they were to cease fighting until their new Mand'alor called on them. Vhonte sees Obi-Wan, realises at the same time as everyone that he's the Kih'Manda, the Mand'ika that the entire system had been gossiping about for weeks, and she thinks of what her ba'vodu said. she looks inwards, like they had taught her to, and finds, yes, she trusts Obi-Wan, just like she used to trust Jango. And, well, her Mand'alor is obviously leaving to go do something, and she isn't going to let him go it alone.
the Manda-touched verd doesn't go with them, wanting to see what comes of this, but they already know Obi-wan is Ka'ra Chosen. they will come when he calls.

The Cure for Everything by thegingerwrites
Obi-Wan Kenobi is a knight, a member of the High Council, and a merman. More than that, he is tired of hiding his existence from humans and pretending that they live in separate worlds. Anakin Skywalker is a widow, a father of two, and a marine ecologist. He has spent the last ten years trying to keep his head above water and has just been offered the job opportunity of a lifetime, only it means moving his small family to the other side of the world. After meeting a merman stranded in their pool the night of a storm, Luke and Leia believe that bringing Obi-Wan and their father together might solve everyone's problems.
Happy belated Mermay! Here is the first chapter of an Aquamarine AU I posted a snippet of here. This chapter sets up that snippet and everything else that's to come
Here's a bit of this chapter:
Luke rushes to the edge of the pool. His fingers grip the tiled edge as he peers down into the water and sees… nothing. A few bubbles, the slow current at the surface. Leia is nowhere to be found as long seconds stretch and build up one after the next. Why couldn’t it have been him?
He needs to do something but even in his panic, he knows that jumping in after her is a bad idea. A quick look around and—there. The pool skimmer tied to the deck railing with two loops of rope.
Luke hurries over and slides it out. He can give Leia something to grab onto, help pull her to the edge of the pool and out of the water.
When he gets back to the pool, there is some movement under the water but Luke still can’t see her. He reaches out with the net and prays for Leia to grab on.
Almost as soon as he does, the water erupts and Luke stumbles back. He falls flat on his rear with the pool skimmer drawn up in front of him defensively. His brain can’t quite understand what his eyes are telling him he sees.
First things first: Leia. Squirming but seemingly unharmed, coughing up salt water, being placed on the pool deck gently.
But second, and now that Leia is safe, more importantly: the man that rescued her.
“It’s alright, young one. You’re safe now,” the man says. He has a pretty voice, Luke thinks, in the midst of not being able to think much at all.
Then he gathers himself together and scrambles forward. “Hey!”
The pool skimmer in his hands makes scrambling forward on his knees a bit awkward but Luke fights his way to Leia’s side and inserts himself between her and this man.
The man backs away, slipping further into the pool with his hands raised to show that he means no harm. Luke spares a glance down at Leia to make sure that she is okay. She has stopped coughing. With a sniffle, she wipes at her mouth with the back of her hand and turns to look at the pool.
“Are you alright?” the strange man asks. “I promise, I didn’t mean to frighten you. I only wanted to help.”
He looks like he might be older than their dad, with a beard and hair that reaches his shoulders when it is wet. He treads water with what looks like no effort at all, his hands still raised and empty.
“What are you doing in the pool?” asks Luke. It’s the first thing he can think of.
“I find myself a little stuck here, as it happens.”
“Stuck?” Leia croaks.
The man shakes his head. “Where are my manners? My name is Obi-Wan Kenobi. And who might you be?”

Last Line Challenge
I think @frostbitebakery @tapemonkey21 @merlyn-bane @raphaerolo @bluemaskedkarma @anxiousotters @foreverchangingfandomsao3 @brokenphoenix99 and @forloveofcodywan have all tagged me in some variety of first/last line challenge over the last two months.
From a fic where Cody was in the Jedi Temple when Order 66 happened and rescued padawans and younglings and is now living when them and Obi-Wan on a remote planet.
Obi-Wan woke with his heart pounding in his chest and a feeling of wrongness overwhelming him. Panic threatened when he realized Cody wasn’t tucked against him in bed, the sheets beside him cool to the touch and undisturbed as though his other half had never come to bed. The clock said it was nearly four in the morning, and nothing would have kept Cody out that late unless it was an emergency. Stretching out in the Force, he found sunshine warmth nearby, and he let out a breath even as he realized that it was accompanied by pain, anger, and resignation.
He followed the feeling to Cody and found him seated on the front steps where he was leaning heavily against the railing, his breathing ragged and pained. His right eye was nearly swollen shut, dried blood was crusted around his nose and down his chin, and his hands were a bloody mess. Obi-Wan honestly wasn’t sure how he was conscious considering how he felt in the Force.
“Cody, what happened?”
“Got jumped on the way home by the thugs from the market. Handled them and then went and dealt with the source before they caused any other problems.”
“Cody that—”
“Was risky and foolish. But it’s over.”
“You could have taken back up! What if they had killed you?”
“Horrible isn’t it when the person you care about goes off and does something that’s absolutely fucking mad? We could start with the Rako Hardeen incident if we want to discuss particulars.” Cody tilted his head ever so slightly, knowing look on his face, and Obi-Wan bit back a frustrated shout. Cody was absolutely infuriating, and what was even worse was that he was right.
“I’m going to wake Sylvi and get a med kit. You stay right there.”
“Couldn’t go anywhere if I tried.”
No pressure tags to all who tagged me! Show us what you’re working on!

Modern au Cody who's freakishly good at getting out of cuffs.
Modern au Obi-Wan who finds this out in a somewhat unconventional manner because if Cody's hands were cuffed between the headboard rails, then why is he now on his back with his hands cuffed infront of him while Cody sits straddling his waist, smirking.

Debriefing *part 4* (Knight Anakin x FemPadawanReader x Master Obi-Wan)
Tumblr media
Summary: You had hoped for a proper ‘reunion’ with your master and Ani when they returned from their latest escapade. However they’re both behaving unusual, acting like the whole revelation and ‘debriefings’ never occurred. Leaving you guessing, wondering…so sexually frustrated. That you’re about to do something crazy, until…
Warnings: 18+ (minors dni), because all the lovely smut. Threesome and Ani and Obi’s big dicks. Padawan reader is of age.
Notes: Thanks all you lovelies for taking the time out to read part 4!  I hoped you enjoyed this little spicy series!  And I also hope you enjoy part 1, part 2, and part 3!
“Little one, are you paying attention?” Obi-Wan scolded, his blue eyes glued to the datapad in his hand. “This is important intel; you need to focus.”
“Y-yes, Master,” you stammered. Attempting to concentrate on your own device, your mind racing with so many unanswered questions. The most important being…why were the two of them acting so normal?
It had all started when he and Anakin had returned from their latest escapade. The usual pleasantries had been exchanged; the ones meant only for the order’s sake. However, once out of the ever watchful eye; you had hoped for a more proper ‘reunion’ with them. Instead, Obi and you went off to your shared quarters…Ani to his. As if the whole revelation and ‘debriefings’ never occurred.
That’s how things had remained for around a week or so. Leaving you guessing, wondering…so sexually frustrated, near the brink of tears. Pushing you to the point of almost saying or do something crazy. Until…
The door slid open and in stormed Anakin. A look of anger, mixed with possessiveness, on his handsome face. “We need to talk.”
Both you and Obi-Wan stared at him, shocked by his sudden appearance. Before you could answer though, your master’s clipped voice came through the bond. ‘Pay him no mind. I’ll handle this.’
Doing like you were told, you returned to your reading. Keeping your head down, you tried your best to ignore them both. Biting your lip the whole time, while their tones only grew louder and their squabble quickly escalated. Talking over, calling one another the most horrible things. While arguing about who you belonged to, which you wanted to…
Unable to take a moment longer, you finally caved. Slamming your pad onto the table, rising from your seat. “Maker, will you shut up?! Both…it’s both of you!”
The pair froze at your outburst. Shocked and stunned, their eyes followed as you slowly stalked towards and squeezed between them. Flashing each a playful smile, running your fingers across their chests. “I belong and want to kriff you both.”
“All right, angel; prove it then,” Ani said smugly. His gloved hand resting on your hip, squeezing it firmly.
Hooking his thumb under his chin, Obi turned your face towards his. “Yes, darling; show us how much you do.”
“With pleasure,” you cooed. Pressing a heated kiss to your master’s lips, your digits trailed down his body. Palming him, freeing his impressive length. Pumping him lazily, grinding your posterior against Ani’s own hardened cock the whole time.
One thing led to another and, soon enough, you found yourself bent over. Face buried…skirt flipped up…panties pulled to the side.
Anakin railed into your soaked cunt, stretching you wonderfully. Forcing you to greedily suck down more of Obi-Wan with every harsh thrust. “Such a good girl.”
Obi’s hand tangled in your hair, guiding your movements. Bullying more of himself into your warm mouth, driving you further back onto Ani with his wild bucks. “Taking us so well.”
Already coming dangerously close to your peak. The sensation of being so totally stuffed, of having the duo inside you was all too much. But you’re determined to get them to crash first, thinking of their desires.
While Anakin barreled into you over and over, you swallowed Obi-Wan hungrily. Allowing him to slide deeper, fat head brushing and hitting the back of your throat. Causing you to gage and sputter a tiny bit. Tears beginning to sting at the corners of your eyes, as you looked up at him pleadingly. ‘Please, Master… Please, I want to taste your hot, sticky cum…’
“Maker, I…I…” Letting out a loan groan, he pressed your nose flushed with his abdomen. Hips stilled; his salty sweetness bursting across your tongue, slipping down your throat.
You continued suckling at his length, wanting to get every last drop. Until it must have become too overwhelming and he pulled you off. One big hand cradling your face, the other groping at your chest. Rolling, teasing your pert nipples.
Moans and whines fall freely from your lips as Ani pounded you ruthlessly. Hitting, prodding your cervix…abusing and bruising it thoroughly. His hips slapping against your bottom, gummy walls fluttering and clenching around him. “General… Cum for me… Need you to pump me full…”
“Kriff… Kriff…” A growl escaped him, his hold tightening. Fingers digging, slamming into you hard one last time. Dick twitching, rope after rope spurting. Filling you to the absolute brim.
Milking him for everything he’d give you. Phantom fingers start to toy at your clit. Circling, pinching; pressing down on it. Coupling with the euphoric feeling of your breasts being played with, pushing you to…
Crying out both their names, your vison goes white and you spiral off the edge. Voice growing increasingly higher. Before fading into a series of pants and then a string of giggles. “Th-That was…amazing... R-round two…”
“Absolutely, dear one,” Obi chuckled, stroking your cheek tenderly.
“More than happy to, hatari,” Anakin hummed, caressing your side gently. “Just let me com Snips first. Let her know that I'm going to be in a ‘debriefing' for a while.”

Consider the following: Obi-Wan's a CEO at a company. A moderately successful one, and he has decided he will retire in a few years. So, he takes Anakin under his wing to train him to be the next CEO.
Anakin is absolutely clueless, he just follows along, believing he might just be in a trashy romance novel titled: 'the CEO and the secretary'. It's only a matter of time before Obi-Wan bends him over the large desk in his private office.
Anakin is wrong, of course.
No such thing happens. Instead, Obi-Wan teaches him how to lead the company and introduces him to the senior management, the important customers, shareholders, whatever.
Cue to Obi-Wan deciding Anakin -- who has been very patient in the meantime -- will take over. The betrayal! Obi-Wan doesn't want to rail his very capable secretary? Instead, he wants to dump this company Anakin really doesn't care about on Anakin's shoulders?
And the humiliation. He has been bending over and posturing and honing his flirting, and Obi-Wan never noticed? Or worse: he politely ignored it?
Anakin goes along with it, I reckon. At least on a surface level. He attends the big festivities for Obi-Wan's retirement, gives a speech that goes along the line of "Obi-Wan abandons his colleagues who need him so very much :(", and he even waves Obi-Wan goodbye when Obi-Wan gets in a cab.
Now, Obi-Wan's retirement plans... He has an eopie farm somewhere in the countryside. It won't turn a profit, but Obi-Wan was a CEO, he doesn't need the money.
On his first morning, he rudely waken up by someone ringing his doorbell. And it may happen to be Anakin, who's there with coffee and breakfast for Obi-Wan. And also a filled suitcase and big, hopeful puppy eyes.
He gets to stay, of course. Which means the company has no CEO, everything in shambles, there's general panic, and Obi-Wan and Anakin remain oblivious to it all.
I don't know, I started thinking about Anakin getting a very important job and just abandoning it the moment he realized that Obi-Wan isn't going to be a part of it. He needs Obi-Wan to admire him!

A Pirates Life For Me
Pairings: father Killian Jones x child/teen!reader
Imagine: what it would be like to be Killian Jones child
Warnings: none really, mostly fluff, and Killian Jones being the best father ever, I guess there’s some spoilers for those who haven’t watched all seasons I guess, mention of when he died, NOT proofread yet
A/N back to writing ya’ll (hopefully), thought I’d start it of easy with some headcanons, so a few other will come out too but this is the first because recently I’ve been obsessing over Killian again along with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hunter (from tbb)
Side note half of this got deleted and couldn’t really remember what I wrote so it’s definitely not as good as the first draft
Tumblr media
First things first you were raised on the Jolly Roger, you would most probably grow up as a pirate, and when old enough you’d help him fighting against the other pirates that would attack you at times
I’m sorry but you’re gonna have to deal with wearing dark colored clothes, he doesn’t do light color therefore neither do you at least until you’re old enough to decide for yourself what clothes you want
You’d beg Killian to buy you the biggest hat ever as you read somewhere that pirates has hats, he never bought you that hat… he did steal a tiny hat that fit you perfectly though…
He was scared to death that he would be like his own father, but don’t worry he’s both like that he’s the best and he’d never leave you like that
Your initials are written beside the wheel (you know where he wrote with his hook for Bae/Neal)
Things you carved into the ship as a kid can still be seen in the most random places
He childproofed the ship, put child locks on nearly every cabinet not knowing if it was child appropriate things in them as the crew would put their things in random places, he did not find the thought of you finding a knife, sword, or gun and accidentally hurt yourself very comforting
Adopted child, biological child, doesn’t matter he loves you the same.
Depending on when you were born you might of watched The Dark One rip the heart out of your father’s lover
One of many traumatic events
Killian values you more than anything else, if he had to choose between revenge or you, he’d always choose you, he’d do anything for you even if it meant him dying
He still knows how to say no to things though
He made a mental list in his head on things he would teach you
1. How to sail
2. How to navigate with stars
3. Sword fighting
4. How to survive on Neverland (just in case Pan decided to kidnap you or something to mess with him)
5. How to escape from Neverland
6. What plants are poisonous or not
7. Do not make deals with the dark one
And then the list goes on and on, he would want to teach you everything he knows about everything really, he just doesn’t want you to make the same mistakes he did, or to end up being a villain as he wants you to get your happy ending
Somewhere along the road you got dragged into wanting to help your father get revenge, nearly succeeded in multiple occasions, but as it turns out villains don’t really get their revenge
You once made the crew find a hook and clothes similar to Killian’s and later on that day you’d run up to Killian, hand clutching a hook and act as if you were the captain of the ship, imitating your father (with a really bad “adult” voice). He would let out a wide smile, eyes twinkling and a soft gaze as he looked down at you trying to reach the wheel. He’d eventually pick you up and let you steer the destination as he helped you turn the wheel the other way than he had set the course too. This was also the first time he taught you how to sail. Or somewhat, it wasn’t like you took much of the information in as you soon got bored and went to watch over the railing at the crashing waves.
Btw I’m tired of fics where Captain Hooks child likes Peter Pan, why because a parents ideals usually sets with the child, meaning you’d probably hate Peter Pan and Rumplestiltskin as much as your father does
He would tell you stories of his older brother and how he was a hero and he wished you’d met him, you would eventually in hell though later as you went to rescue your father so that’s fine, turns out he wasn’t the hero your father made him out to be, but that’s fine you only need one hero and that’s your dad
He would also tell you stories of his adventures, it made for quite the long entertaining tales as he tucked you into bed, kissing your forehead before continuing his story which he altered to be a bit more child friendly and a bit more dramatic
He lets you have some of his clothes when he’s going away for a long time because he knows you’ll miss him
He lets you wear his jackets/coats, you freezing he’s already put his jacket/coat over you, even if they’re too big for you , he loves how adorable you look in it as he’s reminded that you’re still just a child and he doesn’t want you to grow up
He’d try to teach you how to paint, might succeed might not still he loves the bonding time he’s good at painting in any universe you can’t tell me otherwise
He hates seeing you hurt
If you get hurt on a raid he’d made sure whoever hurt you would suffer, you want him kiss the injury better, he’d do so in a heartbeat even if it meant his reputation would falter slightly
He starts dating someone else (Emma) he’d make sure that person treated you right, if not he’d dump said person
If he founds out you like someone he wouldn’t be overprotective, he’d still be protective but he’d mostly be supportive. He’d tease you about it until it became annoying, he’d encourage you and give you advice (even if most of his advice failed)and if it failed he’d be there to comfort you through it all
You’d blame Emma for turning Killian into a dark one and you’d blame Emma for Killian’s death
When you rescued Killian from hell he promised you he’d never die again if not of old age and that he’d never take of his good luck ring ever again as you thought he jinxed it by giving it to Emma
You were glad for his sake when he married Emma just because you saw your father happy with someone else again and not just grieving and seeking revenge for his ex lover
He hugs surprisingly great, he’s like your human sized pirate teddy bear
He misses the times when you would come into his room late at night after a nightmare and crawl under the covers and cuddle close to him, not because you had a nightmare but because he liked that you knew you would always be safe with him
He would hate that you’d have nightmares after his death and you no matter what age you are in would sometimes go into his room to make sure he was still alive and maybe even sleep beside him, he’d wake up to you sprawled out over the whole bed clutching his side tightly as if you were afraid he’d disappear
Will make sure you get your happy ending
He’s just father material it’s as simple as that (just look at Nook, love Nook though but original Hook is the best)

I had a funny thought of ANH Obi-Wan telling Luke about the Mandalorians and their culture while reminiscing about the Clone Wars. Obi-Wan casually mentions how the quickest way to gain a Mandalorain's trust is to first prove you can hold your own in a fight and then prove your loyalty by protecting one of their own without question.
Obi-Wan is kinda of a dimwit because he failed to see that this was also grounds for Mandalorian mating process. Satine, Jango and Cody all fell for him. (Oblivious Stewjon ginger) and in doing so accidentally is the cause as to why Luke is now Manda'riddur, pregnant, and basically a whole army ready to die for him.
YES. LOL Ok, I love this
Like Obi-Wan being a Mandalorian slut but also not realizing that it wasn't his amazing flirting skills that landed him a mini-harem but being a great warrior with sass and kindness who has done a lot for children and for Mandalorians and their clans. For one SO smart, he too has the infamous Disaster Lineage braincell too.
So, he's just, "to make friends you just do X, Y, Z...we'll talk about flirting when you're older."
"I'm nineteen."
"Still too baby. Older."
And then Luke accidentally woos the future Mand'alor by just being stupid, powerful, and friendly and somehow makes an army of loyal Mandalorians who would not only die but kill for him.
Obi-Wan, in the Force, is just, "....oh, so THAT'S why I kept getting railed by Mandalorians."
With Anakin just shrieking, "NO SHIT"

Summer nights lights prompts
Her is a short list of prompts as inspiration for Summer nights lights fics, as promised.
Pick one you like or make up your own and have fun.
Anakin and Obi-Wan attend a summer festival on a small planet. There is a local drink involved and confessions of love. Also, Obi-Wan and Anakin exchange flower crowns.
The Jedi temple celebrates summer soloists by gathering in the room of a thousand fountains to play and socialize.
Anakin attends a summer party at a campsite. During the night, he wanders into the forest where he is “chased” meets a mysterious creature.
Price Obi-Wan always attends the summer festival. This year, he is accompanied by his new fiancée, Lady Padmé. During the festival, they meet the young Anakin.
Young Obi-Wan and Quin attend a summer festival and, naturally end up causing a misfit (it's Quin's fault), or maybe Quin gets Obi-Wan drunk and they end up fooling around.
During a beach party, Obi-Wan falls for the young Anakin and they spend the night together, only to discover that Obi-Wan is to be his teacher the following year.
Anakin and Padmé take Ahsoka to a summer festival on Naboo.
During a campaign on a mild climate planet, Obi-Wan and Cody spend a warm summer night together under the stars.
Young Anakin experiences fireflies for the first time.
They are surprised by a summer storm that forces them to seek shelter.
Anakin is a camp instructor at a summer camp where Obi-Wan is also an instructor, while the camp leader is Mace. Anakin doesn't get along very well with Mace, whom he finds too uptight and unreasonable, even though his domineering nature also kind of turns him on. He is also attracted to Obi-Wan, who is encouraging and praises him. One night after a campfire, he ends up getting railed by both of them.
As you hopefully can see all and any ships, explicit or general, is equally welcome, or no ships at all.
And if you're wondering what this is about, it's basically a collection of fics with summer night vibes. Find out more here or follow @summernightslights
