Ok so we have Lucanis sauntering over acting suave. Because he is.

But then look how genuinely Happy he is to be there too! Look at how he's looking at Rook! Look at how much he likes them!!

^she has never been more in love btw. He makes her stupid. The wall lean has put her into a catatonic state.

Then obviously there's the look at Rook's lips. I do find it interesting that this happens After Rook touches him so it's not the touch that makes him hesitate. The touch only spurs him on.

Devastating. His eyes are still closed when he pulls away. He wanted to kiss them so fucking bad. I have very many thoughts on what might have happened here but I'm saving them for the fic. This screenshot made me take psychic damage.

Like look how much effort it takes him to pull away. He Knows he's hurting Rook. But also this has to happen, because he's not ready. I do always wonder if he's like... taking it upon himself to try and protect Rook from themselves a little bit too? 'At least I know I'm doing it' -> Rook might like me but they don't know exactly what they're signing up for so I have to pull back for both our sakes rn. Also I don't think Spite had anything to do with this. All the other times Spite said/did something it was a lot more jarring. I could be wrong tho that's just my interpretation. It's even worse when you compare how happy he just was! And he's not letting himself have that happiness!! Lucanis!!!

Hello! May I ask how you take your screenshots? I have my BG3 game on the max graphics settings, and my screenshots are not this HD!

thank you for your ask! I don't really feel my screenshots are super crisp since I can't take them in 4k. 😭 And I'm still very much an amateur when it comes to virtual photography. But this is what I do when taking screenshots:

I use two tools to enhance my screenshots: Otis' Freecam mod including the IGCS connector, and ReShade. Those two tools are an absolute godsend for improving screenshot quality! The additional sharpness in my shots mostly comes from slapping on about six different sharpening shaders in ReShade. 😆

Fiddling with contrast and lighting can also give a more refined look (I'm a sucker for high contrast). I can highly recommend the iMMERSE Pro and Ultimate shaders for lighting adjustments. I use the RTGI and ReLight shaders for all my screenshots. I can't live without them anymore. Like the Freecam mod, they are only available via patreon subscription though.

Here is an example:

The left screenshot is the original ingame graphics and lighting without ReShade or the IGCS connector. The right screenshot is my go-to ReShade preset with adjusted lighting using mainly the RTGI and ReLight shaders.

I usually also do some light post-editing of my shots in Adobe Lightroom which can increase the sharpness even more. So yeah, I'm doing a lot of editing. 😅

I'm a simple woman with simple thoughts. Such as what Astarion thinks of his lover's butt, as inspired by the tireless efforts to give us great content by heroes using Freecam mod to reveal the juicy stuff that would otherwise have gone unnoticed.

I was a bit worried that it's weird shy about this, but then saw this post and was once again reminded that Tumblr is a safe space where we can all collectively obsess over the vamp! 💕

You felt giddy every time you asked for a kiss and Astarion agreed most enthusiastically. Kissing you deeply, both his hands squeezing your butt tightly, kneading the soft flesh in a way that had you both moaning into the kiss.

Lae’zel would roll her eyes and march past you, muttering something unsavoury under her breath about istiks and their peculiar mating rituals that would go completely ignored.

Shadowheart would smirk and pretend to be annoyed, remarking that if they were to be subjected to seeing you be all over each other, at least some change in repertoire would be nice.

It never went past that. Just as you agreed, you gave Astarion space and time to figure out what he was comfortable with. The two of you would hold hands, cuddle up to each other, share heated looks and sweetest kisses that made your toes curl. And without fail Astarion’s hands would eventually be touching, patting, squeezing, playfully slapping, or pinching your ass.  

So it really should have been no surprise when you woke up one fine morning with Astarion rutting against your clothed backside. Now, whilst you had no issue with your vampire enjoying himself, having explicitly stated to him on several occasions that you were game for whatever he would come up with, you were not entirely sure what to do now.

Should you just stay still? Judging by how his pace was picking up and the way his gentle grunts were becoming more audible by the second, Astarion would be done soon. He was clearly so lost in the moment and eager to chase his release that he didn’t even pick up on the change in your heartbeat.

Most of the time you slept like a log. It would take wildebeest stampeding past your tent for you to stir. Which is probably why Astarion, having made plenty of quips and jokes about your almost impressive ability to fall asleep in any place as soon as your head touched the bedroll, was not being particularly careful about being quiet.

Yes, staying still was probably best. If you were entirely honest, Astarion wanting you so desperately was doing wonders for your confidence. And the moans and grunts, his cool fingers on your hips, curls tickling the back of your neck, got you hot and bothered in seconds. You two weren’t intimate in... a while. And whilst this was not exactly how you thought you would next be intimate, you'd take it.

And then you felt your nose itch. What started as little itch that had you scrunching you nose in annoyance became worse by the second. Oh, hells! You were going to sneeze!

You tried to turn your head ever so discreetly to the side and rub your nose against the bedroll. Surprisingly enough, this got absolutely zero reaction from Astarion. And this would be the end of your predicament if you were anyone but the unluckiest woman in all the realms.

Your violent sneeze was like a clap of thunder on a still night.

Excerpt from Doc's 6/23 Stream Recap

I'm going to bed early tonight because I stayed up recapping til 4am last night, so I'm not going to finish this stream until tomorrow. Enjoy this unhinged little sequence from Doc's Sunday stream this week.

43:30 Doc forgets the inherent peril of every GoodTimesWithScar build and gets severely jumpscared by the creeper that sneaks up behind him. He’s not hurt but the front yard of Poe Poe HQ has lost some landscaping. Doc thinks that vandalizing Poe Poe HQ might not be the best move for a guy in his legal position, and it seems like the “SUE TODAY” banner on the courthouse might just be mocking him. He remembers that Scar’s building supplies chest monster hasn’t been picked up yet and goes to rummage through it for extra booshes. He finds some, but comes very, very, very close to blowing up Scar’s entire chest monster when another creeper pays a visit.

44:40 Doc uses freecam to show the now-underground broken rainbow beacon, buried under the road between the courthouse and the police station. The metaphor would be unbearably heavy-handed if it weren’t also obviously accidental. Doc replaces the destroyed bushes and takes a look at Poe Poe HQ by daylight, declaring it a really cool build. He laughs at the enormous POE sign and is confused by the sand countdown clock. Chat tells him it is counting down to the enforcement of the rule against popup shops in the shopping district. Doc wonders who made this, even as he finds a trapdoor with a sign reading “Ultra Redstoners Only.” Deciding he is definitely in that club, he enters without hesitation to check out the guts of the countdown machinery. He studies it for a moment and asks in complete befuddlement “Who _made_ this?” Hearing from Chat that it was Scar does explain a lot. Doc decides he had better leave before the redstone drives him insane.

46:40 Time to go back and work on interior design again. Doc does not want to do his interior design. He bemoans the fact that he got himself into a quarrel with Cleo, who would’ve been the perfect Hermit to tap for all the armor stand work he needs done but is now mad at him. He decides he should wander around and look for design ideas from other shops, because he is so uninspired. Chat suggests Joel has great interiors, so does Pearl. Doc admires Joel’s octopus but does not want one in his armor trim boutique. Chat thinks the octopus is amazing. Doc tells Chat they are useless. Chat doesn’t care; they want to go look at the Lizzie statue at Joel’s base. A chatter says they heard Doc was going to play Stardew Valley and is excited about it; Doc tells them he has played Stardew Valley through three times already. He’s exploited everything exploitable in that game and even made a tutorial for finding rare fish; Stardew Valley has nothing left for him.

49:00 Doc looks around in the honey shop for decoration ideas, but is disappointed to find no armor stand work to get inspired by. Chat wants to hear the song. Doc is unenthusiastic but plays the song. He goes on an entire facial journey as Chat grooves to the “Honey, Honey, Honey” song. “Jesus Christ,” Doc says. This puts Joel at the top of the suspect list as far as Doc is concerned. Anyone who could come up with that song is clearly capable of anything.

muffin, muffin, I’m curious on how you’re still into the resident evil village fandom even after the hype of it has gone significantly down and a lot of authors have abandoned their work. What has kept your interest in it alive?

Tbh, I’m a big resident evil fan as a whole (though funnily find village to be one of the weaker resident evil games, gameplay wise)

Out of all RE games, I thought village had amazing characters, especially the Dimitrescu’s, of course :)

One of my biggest motivators, without doubt, are my followers, especially active ones, anonymous or not. Your comments and interactions mean so much to me, it’s a big motivator. I love chatting with moots and the interactions with anons, I get excited about every comment that is occasionally dropped and every repost🙇‍♀️🙌

I love being creative, and I enjoy writing a lot. This blog gives me a break from other things going on throughout my week and life, and the requests I work on are often even fun little challenges in terms of writing or creativity. I like writing them, chatting about them, comparing them to someone else’s views and hearing someone’s reaction to my HCs.

Another thing is that village leaves a lot up to imagination, I feel like. The areas and characters feel unfinished to me, which allows me to create many HCs for them. I plan on exploring more of the areas when I can.

And lastly, I really enjoy chatting with my girlfriend about our HCs and village from time to time, even made her listen to me ramble and explore the castle’s areas with a freecam. She too is a huge motivator for me, of course

I'll post a little snippy of my Brinni Lavellan x Cullen fic that I worked on this week. I promise it will be published soon, The Snake and The Crow is currently, happily, taking almost all of my writing time up!

Context: They argued.

“Please, just let me speak,” he said, walking side by side with her outside of the large gate toward the lake. It would not get dark for an hour or so, and that would be plenty of time to say what he had to say. “I find walking the shoreline of the lake to be very calming. Perhaps I should have done so earlier today,” he laughed to himself. He thought he heard her laugh as well.  “It may have saved you a trip to my cabin, Commander,” she said. He looked over at her and she was smiling. A small smile, but it was progress. They walked in amiable silence to the edge of the lake. The sun was sinking and cast a fiery orange glow over the landscape. Her hair, usually the color of moonlight, now had a golden glow to it and the pink flush of her cheeks seemed even deeper. He could lose himself tracing the sweeping curves of her facial tattoo with his eyes, landing on her full lips or perhaps up to her eyes, the color of a field in early spring. He had to stop himself from staring. But oh, how he wanted to stare.  “I have never been particularly good with words. I find myself saying something I don’t intend to more often that I’d like. I’d like to apologize for that. It was not my place to—” “Please. You don’t have to be so formal. It’s just me. At ease, or whatever they say,” she said. “And don’t call me Herald.”  “Yes, Heral—Brinni. Sorry.” His hand rubbed the back of his neck—his worst nervous habit, one he picked up as a teenager. It was the hardest one to break. “As I was saying, I’ve never been good with words. What I almost said…I didn’t mean it. The mark on your hand is important, I will not deny that. But you are just as—more—important. I don’t want you to think I’ve lost sight of that. We wouldn’t be here without you.”

Actually…they both kinda need similar approaches.

• Really. Be patient. It might feel like pulling teeth. He’s not the best communicator ever. It would take him so dang long to. He’d be watching you close and double checking that you aren’t about to backstab him or go against his ideas. If you worked together he’d probably butt heads with you if you took a lot of initiative without going to him first- even if they are logical and good ideas . It’s his paranoia and history of being let down and betrayed that’s made him this way.

• He will subtly test you to make sure you are genuine in whatever kind of relationship you have. That you aren’t just using him. For example he might ask you things in an attempt to trip you up. Observing closely and looking for cracks in what you say or how you look when you say it. He can’t ever turn off his cop brain.

•Will observe closely how you treat others versus him, and draw lots of comparisons.

•He’ll warm to you gradually if you’ve managed not to hurt him, but also if you’ve not taken his demeanor the wrong way. He knows he can be stand off ish, he knows he can be rude. But…if you’re still sticking around then maybe you can tell he isn’t all bad. You’re willing to give him the benefit of the doubt?! That’s sure to be meaningful to him.

•If you do nice things for him he may feel conflicted, maybe even be weird about it the first few times. He’ll look for a nefarious motive behind you giving him something or running errands for him without asking. When there never seems to be a catch however…he will work himself up into a guilty frenzy. Then he will have to accept you are genuine in your efforts.

Further romantic context

• He would need even further coaxing to believe you are interested in him for the right reasons. As much as he loves the roles mentioned in his romance paperbacks; he won’t like it if you’re just into his uniform or family title. He’s an old fashioned softy that will never admit he wants to be called handsome and fussed over a little.

•Don’t let him feel like he’s being made fun of. No really. Laugh at the wrong time for example, even by accident- he’ll take it to heart and lay awake thinking about it later. His ego bruises so easily. He’ll withdraw from you if you hurt his self esteem.

• Let him feel like he’s taking the lead a little (even if he isn’t). It will feed his self esteem a bit. He’ll feel like he’s being proactive and gentlemanly if you plant an idea in his head by hinting you are free on Saturday afternoon or really like chrysanthemums. He might miss the first few hints, but if he’s more comfy with you (after the points in general), he will have to take action.

•weirdly enough, needing him will feed his trust. Obviously not in a demanding way, but he will like that he can help you. Travis has built himself up on how dependable he has to be. If you refuse his help too many times that will also bruise his ego.

Overall, proceed with care and patience!

I finished my first BG3 playthrough last night after 210 hours with my redeemed Dark Urge spores druid Sorcha and I have so many emotions about it!

(spoilers for the ending)

the final battle was so good and I nearly cried seeing all the allies standing around in the main chamber right before. the emotional payoff for playing the Dark Urge, who masterminded this whole plan, to be reborn anew and save the world, was just incredible. we killed the Netherbrain in the last round with two companions dead-dead (Gale and Shadowheart), and Astarion, Sorcha, and Orpheus just wailing on it, hoping they don't die. got the brain down to 10 HP on the final turn, and a Potion of Speed is all we needed for Astarion to get in the final hit.

however, I was disappointed by all the bugs that happened at the very end. I had to click "skip" through Wyll and Karlach's cutscene in Avernus, because it wouldn't move forward without me doing that. then when my epilogue scene with Astarion started, first it was just a blue screen, none of the text was voiced, and I couldn't click the dialogue options it just said "continue." I reloaded, and it worked a little better, the lines were voiced but some got automatically skipped, but I also ended up in freecam mode, with... my summoned fire myrmidon still in the room with us, on top of my character. lol

I also never got a final conversation with Halsin, despite having romanced him too? I thought that's where the "daddy Halsin" dialogue comes from, but I never got it. is that dialogue only if you are exclusively dating Halsin?

I just wish there was a final celebration at the end after beating the game—which Gale even talks about in the dialogue on the docks!!!—where you can talk to all of your companions and allies one final time. also, you should be able to take ALL your companions into the final battle with you, it felt rude as hell just leaving them at the Elfsong and then not even seeing them when the rest of our allies were gathered. hopefully some of these bugs and things will be worked out and improved upon in future updates/whenever the Definitive Edition gets released.

Hey Bububull! I didn't install the new updates cause I'm scared that it won't allow any mods to function properly. Do you have any informations on that? or thoughts? PS : DANDELION WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO HIM?

that's fully understandable ( and even without mods it did add a ton of issues, lucky me i haven't ran into anything worse than fps drop in some places and weird bright purple artefacts )

for mods, I didn't run into any big issues either but i mostly use and make textures/model mods which are unaffected by the update

( i had to fix the play as iorveth mod bc they changed the name of geralt's naked torso, so my mod no longer covered it but that's about it ) they also added a appearance slot to yennefer so i have to update mods that swap her appearances ( romance swaps for exemple )

mods i used for testing are dead tho ( doppler and companion enhanced mods ) but we can hope for an future update of those maybe

the freecam and console commands i used for screenshots are also dead and that's a big loss for me

fortunately i happen to have both versions of the game working just fine so i can switch from one to the other depending on my needs

ps: they farquaadified him lmao, the outfit looks okay tho ( i sure as hell wouldn't have done better if i had tried a netflix outfit for him ) and i do have a joey batey face and hair model for him, i stopped working on it a long time ago but it's mostly finished, maybe i'll release it as it is if it ends up looking somewhat okay in game ( it can't be worse than the farquaad dandelion )

Foreword: After a few weeks I finally took the time to reach your request dear Anon, I hope it will be useful to you. I advise you to read (or come back to) the tutorial of our famous De Villiers which is quite complete! Here are my personal priorities, what goes through my head when I take / prepare a screenshot.

My computer equipment is : - Intel® Core™ i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz - RAM : 32 Go (16 at the beginning, I added some more) - Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti This allows me to play in "Ultra" graphics + some reshades... which helps for the quality of the rendering.

- My tips for screenshots -

> "WRITING LIKE A FILM"

When I go into camera mode, I project myself into the shoes of a cameraman on a film set. Or a photographer in terms of portraits, etc.

It's all about intention, and the choice of your angle of view is the means to achieve your intention.

Here (Image A), it's a point of view with its back to the characters. It is an intention:

From the camera's perspective ("zoom out", image B), we can see that the first screen (A) was from the point of view of the approaching curious princess.

Notes :

There is a play of depth in the shot (a little badly done I admit) : the over-framing of the door, the princess, the sofa where we are talking and finally the background (4).

Ideally, you should have at least 3 levels of depth to give a realistic impression. More if you want to show the grandeur of a setting like a castle.

In my opinion, we must strive to find intentions in the screens. You have to see it as a kind of writing of the image.

Sometimes I don't necessarily have a clear idea when I shoot a scene, so I take the scene from absolutely every angle. Then comes a big sorting moment lasting several dozen minutes, where I observe the screens meticulously.

Don't hesitate to multiply the angles of view with different poses. This will give you more storytelling possibilities! Bring your camera closer to yours characters, for example, by positioning yourself over his/her shoulder.

> THE SETTING

The thing that takes me the longest to prepare for a shot is the placement of the objects/architecture. This is what creates the depth of field. I would advise you to take references to furnish your rooms, and take the time to test the screenshots during construction if you have TwistedMexi's Buildmod Freecam.

In the Tuileries Palace (Image C), I'm trying to create a more or less parallel setting with my Sims in the centre to give it a "French style" in reference to our dear Louis XIV.

For a nature holiday, nature and scenery invade the Sims, with a slight asymmetry (Image D).

Notes :

Present the screenshots from the most general shot, which sets the scene (e.g. a building), to the most specific (e.g. with a close-up on your sims). Or vice versa! This sets the mood for your scene.

I try to use as much natural light from outside as possible, even through the windows. But some people do completely artificial lighting :)

Avoid showing the white ceilings of the base game and unworked scenery... This disturbs the immersion, especially during a BTS. In movies or IRL, especially during a conversation, it is rare to see the ceiling or the floor.

Sometimes "show" is enough to describe a mood, a relationship or an action. In this case, the setting or close-ups can be very important without the characters speaking. For example, in image D, this screenshot can sum up the atmosphere of a whole weekend's holiday, without adding to it.

> YOUR COMPUTER SCREEN AND POST-PROCESSING

For Tumblr, consider the size of your computer screen when decorating. Because your screenshots will take the shape of your screen. As you can see, I have two computer screens: one more square (Images A & B) and one very horizontal (Images C & D).

My sims are naturally more discreet in my horizontal format, which is a landscape format. Whereas the square screen displays the sims better as it is closer to the portrait / small screen format.

You can adjust the format of your screens by cropping your shots with a software (some use Photoshop... I only use the Windows image gallery for my part, or the Pixelr site which is free).

For my last portrait (Image E), I had to crop to portrait size (Image F below). Otherwise my emperor is too much crushed by the background.

Further down, I took a closer screen, zoomed in (Image G). Result: considerable gain in sharpness. Cropping can cause a loss of sharpness, you have to be careful not to abuse it.

My main advice is to look with interest at the work of simblr that you like, but also at official films or portraits etc. Understand the intentions and the means used to achieve them. Informed work always makes a difference in terms of quality of rendering. When I like a post, I always take several readings and re-readings of the means used. There is a lot of creativity! There's no shame in taking inspiration from other creators (in Tumblr or outside Tumblr), it's the best way to forge your own style.

Mind you, I'm not talking about comparing yourself to others. Inspiration is an element of curiosity, not comparison, it shouldn't make you feel bad. Nor should it lead you to plagiarize.

When I set up a set and dress my sims, I pay attention to the colours given to each of them. The colours are also a way to emphasize an intention (colour symbolism), or/and to bring balance to your screenshot.

It's a soft and bright family picture with green/blue/beige colours (Image H). A bright colour would have brought a certain imbalance, either on the sims or the decor.

Hello Sakuran! I'm sorry if it's a dumb question, but how do you shoot Johnny with different poses? Is it something like "spawn Johnny with AMM" with some additional magic, or I'm completely wrong? Your shots look so good!

Most of it was AMM magic! I am so grateful for the mod. There was nothing comparable to the way it extend the life of this game with a lot of roleplaying fun and endless content.

For AMM Johnny spawn, I use a MaleCivilian locomotion mod in AMM discord server. Then use PinkyDude's MaleNPC animations and Heladios' anims to give him unique animations. There's Ferret's Johnny animations too and hers works without the locomotion mod (Johnny companion uses Corpo locomotion by default). Load one animation mod for each game start.

Additionally, if you have Johnny to Jefferson Peralez mod (it's here in Tumblr), you can still use AMM swap ability on various NPCs. (This was less controversial now.. I hope. But don't swap Johnny with joytoys.... ehem, don't even need to anyway, lol.)

If I wanted to be more precise with eye movement, body angling and positioning; I use Johnny's Photo Mode ability from Love Like Fire and Never Fade Away (Use AMM to travel out of the quest area). Photo Mode Unlocker mod opens up a lot of poses for Johnny. There's several static MaleV poses in Nexus mods that are compatible for him.

You can also use IGCS for the freecam ability during a cutscene but I never use it myself.

I am still discovering the many possibilities of having Johnny Silverhand available for whatever I want in this game. I do have many roleplaying plans for him (I haven't posted most of them here yet). If you have more questions and need guidance about posing Johnny or others, I am active in AMM discord as well. :)

My first time playing this game and I am ESTATIC that they have a dedicated photo mode that is actually GOOD. This is one of the first sync locations in Phokis, caught at the perfect time just as the sun was setting.

I messed around with the saturation and temperature to get that sick glow effect from the sun. I'm so happy they included realtime editing to it so you can adjust the basics of the image to get some wicked cool effects, only downside is the limited freecam distance but I'm not too bothered 😅.

So far I'm not even half way through the game and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this is one of the best AC games that they have ever created and 11/10 recommend it to anyone who's interested in it.

Can't wait to share the rest of the pictures I took!! 👏👏
