Season 4 was peak Garmadon in my opinion

anyway my favourite thing about dead men fanfiction is the wildly different characters we all write. like. not even the ones who have been dead for years and have so little actual characterisation but even the ones who were alive in canon were probably very different one hundred, two hundred, three hundred years ago. also theyre under characterised in fiction. also we are all just having fun

as i sit here with nothing better to do, i’ve been thinking about this ask and the complex layers to the beautiful loft scene, and i feel like i could write an essay about these two men and how they’ve come to know and love each other through everything, and how they’ve become each other’s support systems, lifelines, what have you. but instead i’m just stuck on these parallels, and i’m not quite sure what to do with them.

#iTS JUST #SUCH A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY WHERE WE COULD GET MORE TIME FOR TALIESIN TO EXPLORE THIS CHARACTER WHEN #HE NEVER REALLY GOT THE CHANCE TO GO INTO HIS BACKSTORY AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND--#something something vm changing plot points to suit the narrative and keeping pike around more #something something taliesin saying his favorite thing about the legend of vm was throwing in twists to surprise old fans #also the thing about how molly is at the heart of both the beginning and end of the campaign #and the nein's love for him is something thatd be so hard to squeeze into just a season and endear him in the same way to new fans--#im not sure how that would work but??#if there was a way to move the iron shepherds arc? or even have molly captured or something--i dont know if theyd do that but--#i keep thinking of all of molly and lucien's unused backstory and the whole plot matt scraped about lucien's spirit haunting molly and #trying to take back the body #and how introducing elements of that would make the final arc all the more interesting #thinking of getting more time to see moments of the circus kids bonding and molly/lucien flashbacks and flashes of the moonweaver #and implication of him being fate-touched and all the fascinating little #details about this interesting character we never really got to see--#yes i might be setting myself up for disappoint but tragically i will still dream

#got him got him got him got him got him #at 85 pity on a guaranteed... rather late but he's HERE #i am exceedingly pleased i like him so much #he was a personality pull for me but i actually ended up liking his kit a lot? which was a surprise #so erm. SLAY #oh!! considering building him a team... likely rosaria xingqui zhongli #which gives me a reason to finally fucking build my (c6) rosaria and (c5) xingqui #zhongli of course slays the house down. i wouldn't have it any other way #means possible abyss team fenangling (IF wrio is floor 12 worthy...) but we shall see!#he'd have to outperform either alhaitham/raiden/nahida/zhongli or childe/fischl/kazuha/bennett...#oh lol would be good for an abyss rotation that prefers cryo chars. really the ultimate goal is a GOOD team for every element #i don't like running the abyss all that much but i do love making team comps for it #mostly for the primos though. it's about the grind #REALLY i'd like to make wrio an exploration team but (to me) that requires zhongli kazuha (parkour) + a bow character (sniping birds)#but idk. maybe i make a wrio exception. he deserves it #anyway. currently collecting bugs for him to eat. reminds me of fiending for scarabs for cyno #see this is why i should get itto. complete the trio. boys who eat bugs #and THEN i can run monogeo <3 #anyway. back to wriothesley. who fucking named him that. dude doesn't even introduce himself by saying his name #fucking. “call me your grace.” dipshit #and his kit... really really happy that it's 1. fun and 2. actually packs a punch... perhaps he may be more than a pretty face after all!#granted my half-built wrio has a crit ratio of 8% cr and 187% cd. slightly horrific but when he slays he SLAYS #that's what a lvl 90 crit dmg weapon plus a crit dmg ascension stat will do to a mf. oh and like three lvl 20 artifacts #also love how they animated his punches -- he's light on his feet/bounces after the atk sequence. feels fluid + real #the attention to detail is so nice!!! i love these little things they're so wonderful #see i would love to compare it to heizou's atk sequence but the guy avoids me like the PLAGUE. istg i got THREE 5*S on his featured banner #no heizou. i remain heizouless. it's ridiculous. also very funny. literally what are the odds... c6 yaoyao + 6 copies of xiangling... no zo #hmmmm i'd probably wish more on wrio's banner but. erm. i will likely not use any of the 4*s here and i already got TWO DORIS. bad bad bad #sorry thoma and chongyun... i love u but u i don't want to build u </3 #in short. i love wriothesley i am EXCEEDINGLY happy. he's living in my teapot and i'm gonna get him to friendship 10 so fast...

Idk I feel like Nampheung isn't Porsche and Porschay's mom.

Like it may sound weird bc we saw her in a flashback, but maybe she was a foster mom or something, because it just feels so weird how she reacts everytime Porsche or Porschay calls her "mom" oe say they are "a family" or when Korn is so insistant on her being Porsche's mom and his sister and Porsche being his nephew like. Idk it's so weird.

And like. Gun was shot trying to say "the truth that Nampheung is-" and he got shot and died on the spot. And at first i was like "what if she is Vegas' mom??" which at first seemed to make so much sense but then I rememberd how Gun talked about Vegas' mom and said Vegas was "as useless as [her]" and it just doesntfit with how he treats and talks about Nampheung so yeah

But like cutting him mid sentence might be a trap because everyone will think "what was she?? A sister? A mom? A lover?" but what if the real question was "What is she not?"

And again, Korn being so insitant on family links, the way Gun talks about her is ambiguous because he could love her the most as a sister but also as a lover?? So it would mean she is the related to them at all? And since Korn half confessed she was a "Foster sister" to him, i mean the whole "not blood related" thing would make sense

+ her being visibly uncomfortable around Porsche and Chay

+ Her having most her memory and Korn being the only person to know about her surviving (how convenient... To be the only person able to shape the mind and influence the way this woman who lost her memory thinks...really convenaient if you ask me)

So yeah. It's just a lot of little things adding up that makes me wonder if she truly is Porsche's and Chay's mom, or if it is just yet another lie from Korn.

+ Gun never called her "sister" or never mentioned her as "Posche's mom" or whatever. It's really only Korn creating these links and Porsche following his lead because he is so desperate to believe his mom is alive that I think it's easy to have him following Korn's words without too much questionning.

I for one do not trust Korn about anything. The more he talks the less I am willing to believe whatever he says.
