Android 9 of Jingle Village, my first and probably only Dragonball OC and I wanted to share! ^_^;

I created him from as early on as Xenoverse, and his concept stuck with me years later, never leaving my head until I finally had enough skill and confidence to try sketching his semi-mechanical face down on paper ^_^; As you can see, my early atempts were perhaps a bit patchy. And yes I was still a little unsure of the name...

Usually I just draft up D&D OC's but there has been something interestingly fun and satisfying about making up an OC for a existing franchise that I never fully understood before now. I doubt he's gonna be the first of many other anime OCs. But I feel as if it could be interesting to try coming up with a few others for different shows & series. Who knows?

And so I say that Ever 9 is as much a sentient being, as deserving and able to love, as anyone else who would show the same emotions he does. He is intelligent and he is self aware and he fears a loss of self.

He is alive! Even if his personality is built from the building blocks of the people around him and from Yi Ping himself, that does not mean he is not alive. That only means he has built himself more directly and literally than most humans have... but he has still made himself into himself.

He experiences loneliness and fear and want and he defends his food and he waits, he waits and he ends up hiding from thunder and he is trying to wait, trying to hope, unable to process himself and his own feelings because they are programmed but also growing

A blank slate but not truly blank because he was programmed to care and to love and to be afraid and to want and to need and isn't that just what humans are programmed with but in a different way?

Who knows what the super Saiyan of legend is giving her... but the android girl looks uncertain whether to accept or not (but I think she intends to refuse because, as we know, she doesn't want anything to do with that colossal enemy who tried to eliminate both her buddies both her [Broly attacks Momo in moments when he is not aware of himself, but here you can see him calm]) this gift that we don't know what it is.
