feel like you sent a thread of emoji that represents a story.

it was a new year's day, when the fireworks went off, the air was intoxicated and people lost in their joy. the music so loud you could feel every beat to your bone, the alcohol flowing through everyone's veins.

it wasn't unnatural when a lone firecracker lost its way through the sky, and instead of bursting in the air- it entered your room. but something strange happened, the firecracker stood at your window and asked, "im fucking lost dude."

"come again?" you ask.

"girl, idfk where to go!" the firecracker said in distress, he looked around the room and noticed you on your phone.

"can you like leave? the window's open." you gesture to the same open window and go back to my phone, dismissing his presence.

"a firecracker can never walk back to its own path, it's not in my destiny," he says mournfully, "I have to live with the choices I make."

His face lit up, the sparkles burning at the end of his wick burning more brighter, awfully close to the curtain from your window. He maintains the decency of flying away from it.

"if I burst on your phone, I can save your life," the firecracker says with sorrow in his eyes, "i cannot be the cause of your death, i could not bear it."

the emotions behind his words catch you off guard, a strange feeling erupting in your chest. you look down at your phone and back to him. you wonder if these are his only options.

"can't you-" your eyes search his... well you're not very sure but the equivalent to his face, but you find nothing but regret.

"i know what you of- and no, i cannot. once I've been lit, I can only do two things; to destroy or to be destroyed,"

the firecracker stands up straighter, looking straight at me for an answer, and i nod my head. "i forgive you," I whisper, setting the phone on the floor and backing away from it.

"call the firemen," he says, the end of his wick burning much more brighter, "you're gonna need it."

a sob rattles through you and you run out of your room, dialing the number on the family telephone, barely getting your words out.

you don't have the energy to run out, to saddened by the death of the firecracker. so you stay curled up in your couch, mourning the loss of a good... thing.

"where's the fire?" you hear a man shouting outside your door. you wipe your tears, and open the door. you gesture to the room you were in and the firemen look at you strangely.

"again- where's the fire?"

their words confuse you so you glance back to your room, and sure enough, there is no fire. you sprint back to it and find... absolutely nothing on fire.

your phone lays on the same place it did, untouched and unburnt. you dare take your steps towards it and pick it up and put in your password.

as the phone unlocks, you see the firecracker appear on your screen, waving his burning wick as if he's saying "hi!"

you let out a laugh of delight, and the firecracker moves out of the screen and then you see it. everything on your phone, in the theme of orange- the color of fire.

you come out of the room, laughing- crying in delight as you address the firemen, "thank you so much for coming. i really appreciate it, thank you for being a witness to this beautiful moment-"

"ma'am, calling 911 without an emergency is a felony." but his words fall deaf on your ears, you start spinning as music plays from the phone, you can see firecracker dancing on your screen.

"ma'am-" you heard the call for you multiple times but you didn't pay them any mind. you felt your hands being restricted and the click of your cuffs, and soon enough they were escorting you to the police station. but you weren't upset, if being locked up was the consequence of today- you would do it a 1000 times over.

I read one of you fics on friedrich. Are u using chatgpt AI? lol, it's so obvious, with the I, II, III, IV, ETC. The lack of emotions and everything just scream AI. You're not fooling everyone in the community boo. It's like dishonoring actual AMAZING writers by posting one that doesn't deserve the recognition that it's getting. Try different prompts next time, add "make it humane or with emotions." 🤯

First of all, thanks for taking the time to read the fic—even if your comment is less about constructive feedback and more about baseless accusations. Just to clarify: I literally mentioned in the post that it was my first time writing for Friedrich and that I had just watched the movie. Of course it wouldn’t be perfect. That’s kind of how beginnings work? I also clearly stated that the fic was divided into multiple parts—I, II, III, IV, etc.—for my clarity, because that’s how I organize longer pieces. It’s not an AI thing, it’s a basic formatting choice.

And honestly, if you’d taken even a second to read any of my other posts, you’d know I’m a huge AI hater. I’m proudly human, thank you very much, and I enjoy the process of crafting words from scratch. I’m confident in my writing, and I know the difference between robotic text and emotional storytelling, because I actually give a damn about what I create.

Sure, I use Google and translation apps sometimes. So do most writers. It’s called expanding your vocabulary, not cheating. And yes, that Friedrich fic was one of my starting pieces. I was just beginning my Aaron Taylor-Johnson masterlist and wasn’t yet fully used to writing his characters. But that doesn’t mean it lacked emotion. It was an angst fic, and if you’d bothered to read the rest of my work, you’d see that I actually wrote only fluff before that one. I stepped out of my comfort zone. That takes effort, not artificial intelligence.

Look—I get that not every piece is for everyone. That’s fine. But throwing around false accusations and acting like you’re some literary gatekeeper is just plain shitty. If you don’t like the way I write? Leave. Seriously. My blog is a safe and comfortable space for people who enjoy my work—not a playground for people who want to tear others down.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I know I’ve grown as a writer since then. If you have the time (and, hopefully, a more open mind), maybe read some of my newer pieces. But if you’re just here to throw shit and go? The unfollow button is right there.

One of my headcanons for you to chew on: transfem swan. Proof: "cleon took me in and named me swan" is so trans in my heart. Finding this broken girl who probably has no conception of herself as even close to pretty and giving her the softest, prettiest name you can think of. Tell me that's not poetic.

The entirety of "a light or something" hurts so good thinking of it. It becomes not just swan's journey of accepting someone can love her, but swan's journey of accepting someone loves her as a girl. Mercy sees a badass group of women and of course swan is one of them, look at her, she's beautiful. She's strong. She's everything mercy has ever wanted to be. And swan has no idea how to even begin comprehending that.

oh cleon giving her the prettiest name she can think of i could cry. swan who probably never even considered the possibility of being able to join the warriors because she couldn’t see herself as one of them and then they found her under the boardwalk and took her in without a second thought. and swan could barely believe that, and then cleon makes her number two ??? it’s the first time she’s ever felt accepted in her life and she suddenly has this group of people who’d go to bat for her, who respect her, so of course swan is willing to do anything for them.

and god. the mercy of it all really does hit so hard. thank you for this hc anon i will absolutely be chewing on this

i am unapologetically angry, glad to have made an accurate impression. on behalf of myself, but certainly also every other survivor of abuse who was drawn to this game for reasons that are obvious, who relate to these characters, and feel seen. i won’t say “represented”, we’re not spree killer cannibals posting from death row (well, if anyone is, i ain’t judging, feel free to correct me), but this story resonates deeply with a lot of victims of child abuse and domestic abuse, because the typical “perfect victim” portrayal in fiction is as common as it is unrealistic. tcoaal controversially rejects that myth as well as several others most of us cannot see ourselves in, and that’s what makes it hit close to home with such rarely encountered accuracy.

this game is important to a lot of people healing from extremely painful shit. and so, i care about whether or not this space is safe for not only me but others as well. i’m pissed as fuck by what i see because it isn’t safe by any means if we’re getting constantly uncomfortable, triggered, and feel fucking insulted by every other post we encounter. i’m passionate about abuse, go figure. i will call shit out that i know upsets not only me but a very significant chunk of tcoaal fans and it’s impossible to filter out this overwhelming amount of bullshit. i do it because it’s easy for me to spew my thoughts coherently into a post with relative ease and then save others the headache.

i’ve got no issue with those who are just here to have lighthearted fun with no skin in the game, so to speak, shitpost to your heart’s content, consume media however you please and enjoy it your way. as i keep saying, my issue is when you treat these heavy ass topics as a joke rather than with the necessary respect, make victims and their pain and trauma the butt of your shitty jokes, and harm the survivors sharing a space with you by being ignorant and absurdly disrespectful.

“it’s not that deep, it’s not real!” to you. to people who have lived through it, it definitely is real and seriously fucking deep and personal and evokes strong emotions like fingers pressing on a bruise. every time another survivor sends me an anon thanking me for saying what needs to be said (i do not publish them if they come across to me as personal out of respect), adds their appreciation in their tags, or replies to me expressing how much this means to them, it shows me again and again how important it is to speak up about these issues.

so. even if the fandom overall is a seemingly hopeless cesspool, my blog is a safe space and you’ll never see me put any insensitive, distasteful and deeply offensive bullshit on your dash following me.

If Julian wasn't with Garak yet - or maybe even, they had been together in earlier seasons, but the s5/6 drift has happened and Julian thinks that's it, Garak's done with him - he'd have such a hard time for sure knowing that it did happen in an alternate universe, but not even with au him, with au holo-him... omg, a gift indeed!

And especially if [Garaholoshir? Fissure!Garashir?] do that boasting thing about how unlikely it is and Julian's like "yep, they're not wrong, the odds of there being two Garak+me relationships in one universe are basically impossible and who am I to compete with a holo!version of me with all my flaws taken out anyway...?"

On the other hand, it could go the complete opposite direction with Garak and Julian suddenly having a kick up the bum to realise that yes, they could ahve a relationship, and what's more, the alternate versions of themselves are insufferable and therefore they both get overly competitive to have a "better" relationship than their counterparts 😅 Which could only go well...

Renee Graves has quickly become one of my favorite video game antagonists. An abusive matriarch who did the horrible things she did for the pettiest of reasons. Reasons that aren’t sympathetic, but are at least understandable. I’m also fascinated by the puritanical, almost misogynistic, aspect of Renee, and to her relationship with her children. It adds an extra layer to her antagonistic relationship with her own children. And her death *chef’s kiss*. A woman who did awful things out of a desire for a normal life is murdered in a demonic ritual during a home invasion perpetrated by her incestuous, cannibalistic children. I’m very excited for the playable Renee flashback in chapter 3. I wonder if it was always a part of the plan, or if it’s a response by the author to the “Renee did nothing wrong” vocal minority? We’ve seen the author take shots at *that* part of the fandom before, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the latter.
