Are you an angel!cas endgame or human!cas endgame truther?

I think I'm Edlund-minded on this one. That even when he's "human," Cas is never human, and that's okay. I will read anything well-written, of course, and I certainly think there's a case, especially mid-series, for Cas wanting to live "as a man."

However, I think the back-end of the series challenges what that means to Cas. Most importantly, does he have to, quote/unquote, "live as a man" to allow himself to feel (and act on) his own emotions?

I think I come down most often on the side of Cas integrating his "human" emotions and realizing they were his angel emotions all along.

okay spn tumblr i have a question.

does a demon’s accent transfer when switching vessels?? correct me if im wrong but i think at some point in spn, Crowley switches a vessel & still has his accent. does this go for all demons? (or angels, idk if they can develop accents or if enochian has an accent.) i think that the vessel they’re in plays a roll in the accent change. like, if Crowley switched vessels to a young girl than obviously the vessel doesnt have the natural voice pipes to speak in an older scottish man’s accent. BUT, is there science behind accents? like, say there are two vessels. vessel number one, inhabiting Crowley, obviously has a scottish/irish accent. vessel number two is completely alike to Crowley’s except the human inhabitant does not have a scottish/irish accent. if Crowley switched vessels to vessel #2, would he still have the accent?

this being said: we’ve seen both Castiel speak and his vessel, Jimmy Novak speak. Jimmy has a noticeably higher voice than Castiel. does Cas purposefully lower his voice, or is it his enochian accent?

Okay, here's a fun little question. Anyone else have like.. unconventional/niche depictions of your 'types that you really like?

I was thinking about this because I recently watched a film called Legion about the archangel Michael trying to stop the apocalypse. It was a very bad movie (or maybe I'm just mad because it had so much flashing lights I couldn't even look at the screen for half of it lol) but I really liked some of the unique stuff it did with its angels

Other examples for me are the angel statues in the binding of Isaac, because I just think they look cute. And also angel Christmas tree toppers. We have one on our tree right now and I love it so much. Its so pretty

Also, even though they don't resemble my species at all, I love plushies of green aliens. I think I've posted all the ones I own here before, I just think they're the cutest! I also love those memes of animals edited to be aliens by making them green and giving them those little antenna things

why does flying feel like falling sometimes? wingless abominations, they try to take off, to leap from great heights but they cant control how they move once they're weightless, plummeting to a messy end on the sidewalk. roadkill. we wingless abominations, us roadkill, braining ourselves on the pavement. leaving bone dust to scrape from the cracks. energy and dreams gone to waste on trying to fly all because we’ve forgotten that we’re not angels anymore.

Gabby was born to a human mother who decided to start a cult cause her angel daughter could "erase" any sin with the touch of a hand! Not what was actually happening, with any skin-skin contact Gabby received a record of all of a person's sins, guilts, fears, any pain they've felt, any pain they've caused, all at once and it was not a pleasant experience so eventually Gabby runs off.

Gathering all those records had to lead to something eventually right?

The one thing that always seems to be missed is that an angel in their native form is terrifying to a human because they don't fit into our mindspace. Literally the first thing any angel in the Bible has to say when appearing to a person is: "Be not afraid," because they know perfectly well that they are. An undisguised angel is a pure spirit. Humans are amphibians, we possess both body and spirit, we exist in both the eternal and material planes. We perceive existence largely through our senses, so when an angel comes along who possesses no material traits whatsoever, it freaks us the heck out. A true "biblically accurate angel" is not the human disguises that they take, any more than the more abstract ones, but is perhaps most closely akin to The Nothing from The Neverending Story, something that when looked at cannot be comprehended by the human mind. Angels are benevolent, but they are terrible because they are unbound.

"biblical angels" you do realise there are angels in the old testament that are literally just regular looking guys, right? you do know that the hallucinogenic incoherent descriptions are in like. two books. and the rest of the time angels are just guys. you know that, right?

and I'm not saying don't have fun with weird angels. I'm saying, either the eldritch forms are for special occasions, or the society of the angels is Many-Eyed-Many-Winged-Interlocking-Circles, Four-Faces-Six-Wings, and Mike.

yk it's interesting that cas can hear angel radio without his grace in 9x01. and then this doesn't come up again after he mentions it once. i wonder if he turned it off because people were trying to track him down or if he could hear angels trying to locate him while trying to be human. must've been scary :(. i wonder if it made him feel guilty about anna having to hear angel radio threatening her during 4x10

I love this. It seems as if when angels are in heightened states of arousal, they tap into extra strength. As a human, Anna was able to KO a guy with 80 lbs on her with some apparent psychic movement of objects. But she had to be under extreme duress to do it.

I love the idea of Anna being able to hear threats against her, though. Cas, too. Just heartbreaking! Thanks for the pain.

I want to hear from polykins, or anyone with paratypes or any situation where you experience feeling like multiple things

Maybe it's just because it's new, but I'm finding it a little distressing. Like, for a long time I've just had a connection to angels but was 100% always just an alien. But now I realise sometimes I'm actually more of an angel. Not often, but I have become aware that it happens. This fluidness is what I find distressing, it just makes me feel a bit unstable in my identity.

Maybe this is connected to our DID, I just really latched onto knowing who I am through being Weyoun and adhering to my source to a certain degree. I don't know.

So, anyone who's felt like this before. Advice? How did you get more comfortable in yourself? Is this just a matter of needing time to feel comfortable in my new found identity? Thank you in advance

I ended up redoing basically the whole model of the centaur a made a while back changed the front legs to match the hind legs and used stockier horse breeds (draft horses mostly) as reference for the body, changed color scheme etc etc.

Angels and satallites are one in the same. There's hundreds of them up there, singing in the night and winking down at us with their many eyes, little lights drifting across the painted cosmos, our guardian angels. Some are quiet, asleep, sending out only the faintest of signals; answering the prayers of honeybees and cicadas, the small things. And some die, spiralling out of orbit, crashing down to earth, shooting stars, fallen angels losing their wings in fire and freefall, turning into particles of stardust that rain down on us and bless each breath you take.
