from Alice Archives - Green Book

1. BY PETER: foil-baked fish and mushrooms

Ingredients (2 servings)

Fish fillet - 2 pieces Onion - half Shiitake mushrooms - 2 of them Enoki mushroom - 1 Shimeji mushrooms - 1 pack Butter - about 10g Soy sauce/Ponzu sauce - An Appropriate Amount Salt - a little Pepper - a little

Slice the onion thinly. Cut the mushrooms into bite-sized pieces.

Spread out the aluminum foil and spread the onions across it. Put the fish and mushrooms and butter on top of it. Wrap the foil.

Put about 100cc of water in a frying pan. When steam comes out, put the wrapped foil in the frying pan and put the lid on.

Steam for 5-10 minutes on medium heat.

Add salt and pepper to taste, put on soy sauce or ponzu sauce, and its done!

2. BY BLOOD: tea scones

Ingredients (makes 8 scones):

Cake flour - 200g Baking powder - 1 tablespoon Butter 70g Black tea leaves (earl grey, darjeeling) - 1-2 tablespoons or 1-2 teabags Milk - 100cc Egg - 1 Sugar - 1-2 tablespoons Salt - a little

Mix the cake flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Mix thoroughly.

If the tea leaves are too big, crush it finely. mix with the mixture from 1

Mix the butter, egg, and milk. Little by little combine it with the mixture from step 2. Mix lightly, dont overmix!

Wrap in plastic wrap and let rest in the fridge for about 1 hour.

Roll out about 1-2cm thick. Cut to a suitable size or use a cookie cutter.

Put in the oven on 180C for about 10-20 minutes, watching it.

Put on as much jam, cream, and other toppings as you like.

3. BY JULIUS: COFFEE SCONES

Ingredients (Makes 8 scones):

Cake flour - 200g Baking powder - 1 tablespoon butter - 70g milk - about 80cc coffee - about 20cc sugar 1-2 tablespoons chocolate chips- 50g salt - a little

Mix the cake flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Mix thoroughly.

Mix the milk and the coffee, then mix that with the mixture from step 1.

Mix what you have from step 2 with the butter. Add chocolate chips. Dont overmix, mix it lightly. Wrap in plastic wrap and let rest in the fridge for about 1 hour.

Roll out about 1-2cm thick. Cut to a suitable size or use a cookie cutter.

Put in the oven on 180C for about 10-20 minutes, watching it. Your bittersweet coffee scones are ready!

4. BY ACE: Rabbit Stew

Ingredients (2 servings):

Meat of a white rabbit similar to Mister Peter - 1/2 rabbit Carrots - 2 White mushrooms - 10 Onion - 1 Dried herbs (bay leaf, basil, rosemary, thyme, etc) - a little Parsley - 2 tablespoons Salt - a little Garlic - 1 piece Red wine - 2 cups Olive oil - a little Pepper - a little Honey - half a tablespoon

Cut the rabbit into easy to eat pieces, submerging it in red wine. Let it rest in the fridge for 1 hour.

Julienne the carrots. Cut the onion, mushrooms, and garlic into thin slices. Dice the parsley.

Put the olive oil in a pan and fry the rabbit until brown. Add and saute the onion halfway through

Add the red wine, carrots, mushrooms, garlic, and dried herbs to the pot from step 3. add salt and pepper and stew on low heat for an hour.

When the meat and vegetables are tender, put them on a plate and sprinkle with parsley.

Add honey to the juice left in the pot and heat for 1-2 minutes

Put on the sauce from 6 and it's ready!

5. BY BORIS: Herb Grilled Salmon

Ingredients (2 servings):

salmon - 2 slices panko crumbs - 1 cup pepper - a little olive oil - 2 tablespoons dried herbs (bay leaf, basil, rosemary, thyme, etc) - a little

Pat the salmon dry, and sprinkle on the pepper and herbs. If the salmon is raw, sprinkle on salt, too.

Mix the panko crumbs and herbs. Put one teaspoon of the olive oil into your mixture to moisten it.

Coat the salmon in the panko crumbs from step two.

Heat up olive oil in a frying pan, then cook on medium heat until golden-brown on both sides.

It's recommended to put on as much lemon juice as you'd like. Enjoy!

6. BY PIERCE: Cheese In Blue Cheese

Ingredients (2 servings)

Your preferred cheese - 1 block Sauce: Blue cheese - 50 g Milk - 100cc Fresh cream (low-fat) - 100cc Pepper - just a bit

Mix blue cheese, milk and fresh cream on your stove. melt blue cheese while stirring

Add cheese and simmer. It will be ready in a reasonable amount of time!

*If you're a person who ISN'T Pierce, it's recommended to put the cheese sauce on spaghetti or gnocchi.

☾ - Sleep headcanon for Hange

Hange's a quiet and deep sleeper... once they fall asleep. they're not an insomniac per say; they feel the need to rest in the weight of their eyelids as the night progresses and it gets harder and harder to blink the tiredness away in their lab. they actively fight against the urge to let their head lie over their crossed arms on their desk for even just one minute, by pinching their own skin and hitting their own head and mumbling songs to themself. that's the trick, Levi soon figures out, you gotta get Hange to stop fucking moving, gotta get their legs to stop kicking at the covers, their mouth to stop rambling about unfinished projects and experiment ideas, their thoughts to stop spinning in their full and Titan-obsessed head. it rarely happens, especially with witnesses around -because anyone being in the room is stimulation enough to keep even their most tired brain cells up and running. in fact, the first time Levi sees it in person, is when he fell asleep himself as they were talking the night away after an expedition. recurring nightmares with cruel awfully realistic twists make sure he jolts awake a couple of hours later, and there on the pillow is a sight to behold: Hange Zoë, with their eyes closed and their breathing slowed down, their normally animated face expressionless and their hands still and not moving around to support yet another insane theory they're explaining to whoever -Levi, always Levi- will listen. he smiles at the odd quietness to that scene, the unexpected calm in the storm that Hange always is in his life and the unexpected peacefulness in this instant compared to the week they've just had, planning for and going on this mission outside the Walls. but then their silence and unmoving features remind him of the most frightening details of the dream he's just woken up from, and before he can stop himself, he's shaking their shoulder until they open groggy eyes to stare up at him in question. "oi, you're taking all the damn space here. either move or i'll move you," he says. and before they can even process his words, he picks their upper body up and lies right under it, assuring his large shoulders don't threaten to fall off his small military-issued mattress anymore. he tries to ignore how their surprised but delighted giggle, and how they immediately settle more comfortably against him -like cuddling with him is the most natural thing in the world to them- sets something alight in his chest and soothes his troubled mind back into a rest-sensible state. (all that before Hange yawns themself fully awake and start whispering ridiculous, nonsensical questions, and Levi deeply regrets waking them up.)

✿ - Sex headcanon for Levi

okay, so obviously, Levi's a virgin before he gets with Hange, and there are three main reasons for it.

first, sex is gross because it involves sharing sweat and other bodily fluids with another human when he can barely handle having to train in hand to hand combat with other Scouts and has to run to the showers after. second, sex is terrifying, because it involves being vulnerable and open and honest with someone for, from what he understands, at least a couple minutes straight, and that is not something he thinks he'll ever feel comfortable with. third and final, sex is nerve-wracking, because it's the one physical activity he's not sure he'd be Humanity's Best at, and that specific thought is so ridiculous and cringey he wishes he'd never had it (but it's too late once it enters his brain).

but you know what he soon -soon as in, a decade into this crush neither of them dares to act on before that much time, and months after they get together as they take their sweet time to cross that ultimate barrier, i mean- realizes? Levi doesn't mind Hange's sweat so much -Walls know he's gotten used to its smell and feel against his skin when they're so annoyingly touchy all the time- and he's seen them bleed out enough times over the years to think himself impervious to anything else their body could throw his way. it also turns out it's not such a scary prospect, to be his most naked self in front of them, not when they wear their heart on their sleeve every single time they interact and seem to feel no shame about it, not when they seem to drink in every word he speaks -no matter how awkward and crude- and every inch of skin he reveals -no matter how scarred by combat and years of a famished childhood. he can't deny the apprehension he feels all throughout the first touches and tastes though, the fear of being inadequate and not good enough at something everyone else seems to find easy and instinctive. but Hange's breathy reactions and strangled moans and the flow of juices that comes out of them, the hunger in their eyes as they explore his body and the unreal feeling of their own hands and tongue and cunt make him come to terms with the fact that he doesn't always have to be Humanity's anything -not in these moments where he can be Hange's everything instead.

it's one of those unexpected deep conversations at unlikely places, like the grocery store. it's just that almost sacred connection you get when you're telling someone your thoughts and ideas, and you worry that you sound scattered and might not make sense and you're ready to brush it off with a nevermind and an awkward little chuckle but you don't need to because he gets it. and as you continue the conversation while you put the cereal box into the cart, you feel a fresh surge of love for him.

okay yeah its so INTERESTING to me that jaewon listens to wetter and likes their music bc like. i think that style of music, that genre, that melancholy and cry for help in their songs, that "i just wanna run away from this place bc its too small for me and my problems are too big for it yet somehow this place is all that i know and return to", that need and search for freedom and something new and change *coughJIHYUNcough*, the vibes .... that sonic experience of it when you listen to their discography is so ... visceral and painful. how they sing of and describe love and trying to find love and what loneliness and youth feels like and trying to convince yourself you're fine you're okay but you're two seconds away from losing your patience and getting into a fistfight and its all just. SO jaewon. like its only been TWO episodes but i feel like i know EXACTLY who and what jaewon is. and maybe its bc wetter just sounds SO much like oasis (they refer a LOT to oasis in their songs) and 90s britpop and i know EXACTLY what kind of feelings it invokes and what headspace listening to oasis puts me into (pure melancholy and chaos and a sense of vulnerability but needing to mask it with fake it till you make it invincibility) ... that i just. GET jaewon. and get EXACTLY why he listens to wetter.

it just makes so much sense. like its so pleasing when you have a character and their music taste just matches ENTIRELY perfectly with their personality, that you can just listen to their favourite band(s) and understand EXACTLY who they are.
