Been sitting on this a bit but!!! I did it! Transgender House of Wolves backpiece........

Some notes!

> Used an extra trans flag I got at a previous Pride!

> The pink fabric/gums are actually that band at the waist of an old hoodie, and unintentionally had a really neat lettuce-ruffle effect when I cut it. I feel like it makes it look fleshy.

> Fangs were hand sewn! In fact almost all of this was, just the top and bottom of the flag being sewn by machine (and later covered up by various fabric layers anyway). Also the chipped tooth was unintended (underestimated how much material I had there) but I think it's charming :)

> Belt was from a yard sard that I've had since middle school HAHA, I thought it would be aesthetically more pleasing if I separated the wings from the wolf mouth? I was careful to save some for later as well, if I want to implement it somewhere else.

> Also. Only stitched the ends of the belt to the jacket. The rest is nuts and bolts LMFAOO could NOT be bothered (but ties in nicely with the wings and other places I've used bolts! Metal detectors hate me.)

> Text was largely free handed with marker! I did have stencils (?) I drew out on paper, but not like cut outs -- the flag material was thin enough to trace and free hand the rest. Also, the text is meant to mimic the fonts seen in the lyric pamphlet! Because it was freehand, I did make a mistake on the N and covered it up with embroidery.

Added a bolt and a hair elastic as a clasp for the Extra Pockets on the sides!!! This actually makes them functional now!!! I can put pliers and scissors and Stabbing Tool (a dart I cut the aerodynamic bits off of) what have you in them AND nothing falls out when I yank it off and toss it aside YIPPEEEEEE!!! 🎉🎉🎉

The funniest part of all of this is that, this humble windbreaker, is now about as hefty and weighty as a leather jacket after all the mods and shit I've stored in the pockets. All five of them (there is a secret pocket as well 👀)

Well since my bachelorette designs were received so well, I decided to complete the marriage set! Here’s my bachelors!

I’m drawing these from the perspective of how they’d look on day 1, but I’d definitely like to do a post-Joja higher heart design for Shane at some point. Overall for this one I just tried to make him look unkempt and dull, I desaturated his skin tone to make him look sickly and he’s the only one without eye shines, signifying how he’s lost the spark for life.

Also sorry about the socks and Birkenstocks.

Decided to make Alex mixed, since there’s absolutely no diversity in the bachelors. Had a lot of fun translating his canon hairstyle into those short locs. Other than that the biggest change was turning his jacket into a proper varsity jacket. Short Alex gang unite!

Okay sorry Haley, Elliot takes the win for the most changed design. Like it’s so obvious he’s meant to have a Victorian jacket and fancy trousers and all that, but after I drew him all tall and slender and I gave him little braids and beach waves he just started taking on a Boho vibe? When I drew the jacket it just looked tight and restrictive. So I decided to let the beach influence carry and we ended up with this fancy yet comfy loungewear with sandals. And I love him?

Also this was heavily inspired by ginjaninjaowo’s male espeon design

Sebastian was honestly a pain, like I know his design plays off the emo teen archetype, but compared to the others npcs he’s actually got a lot of variety. Like he’s obviously got some emo influence, but there’s also some nerd thanks to his interest in coding and ttrpgs, and he’s also a bit of a tough guy with the bike and the smoking. So there were a lot of directions to lean. Still, his sprite is clearly going for a dark hoodie and dark jeans, so I didn’t think I could change it up without making it not feel like Sebby. Does he have a muscle tee underneath for working on the bike? I’ll never say.

Biggest change is probably the hair, just wanted something less stereotypical, and have some variety in bachelor hair length. Definitely leans into the biker side a bit lol. Otherwise I just tried add detail to his dark outfit and adorn it with his interests. So frog embroidery on his shoes, a patch on his jacket and some motor oil stains on his hoodie. Also as promised he and Maru have matching dimples.

Also happy pride month, enjoy trans Sebastian and also the head canon that he and Sam start dating provided the farmer doesn’t get there first lol.

And with Sam the ASS trio is complete! Now with matching chokers because I said so.

Just like with Sebby I wasn’t sure which direction to go for Sam, whether to lean more into skater boy or rockstar. Ultimately he ended up more rockstar, though he’s still always roughed up from skating (probably because he refuses to take off the platform boots). He thinks the torn clothes make him look more legit though.

I had fun making his shape language compliment Sebby; he’s very top heavy from the giant hoodie so I made Sam bottom heavy with the baggy jeans and jacket. Also I had so many thoughts about him and Kent, given that Sam and Sebby are a thing and Sam isnt exactly gender conforming.

And last but not least, Harvey. He’s sweet, he’s simple, all his heart events are charming. And yet he is always the last one I reach max hearts with because I can’t be bothered to go to the doctors office. Sorry bby, I hope I can make it up to you by designing you as an adorable cherub of a man.

I know I’m being super controversial, giving him a pushbroom mustache when the sprite is obviously a handlebar /s. But like, he’s such a square; it fits him so well. My little lawful good guy.

Ya know, I think I gave him a sweater so Elliot’s jacket would stand out, then proceeded to not give Elliot his jacket. Huh.

So me and @happistar were chatting a bit ago and the topic somehow landed on Hey what if there was a Disney Channel Original adaptation of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Y'know, cuz they love loosely basing those off things you'd read in english class

We ended up with an entire plot summary. Below the cut bc I will not spare a single detail

Okay so this would be set in peak Disney Channel Original era, aka 2000-2010s, in highschool bc of course. Our protagonist is Henrietta Jekyll, a teen girl, bc that's your typical DCO protagonist.

She goes by Jekyll, because she hates her first name, and occasionally Dr. Jekyll, because her friends & chemistry teacher call her that as a quirky nickname for being very determined to get a PHD one day.

Jekyll's a certified Nerd™ who excels in chemistry, gets straight As, and participates in like 8 different clubs. Truly the academic pride of the school! She’s also overworked and definitely needs to take time for herself.

Her besties are Utterson and Lanyon, who tbh we never decided whether they get genderbent or not. They basically make up your bestie friend group of the DCO. The only bullet point I noted about Utterson is that they're like that one kid in good omens -- clearly born to do taxes. We know they're going to law school

So Jekyll wants to be popular, but her nerdiness keeps getting in the way. Like for instance, homecoming is on the horizon, and though her friends asked if she would go, she insists she can’t because she’s got too much homework (and is also kinda nervous).

So, with encouragement from her chemistry teacher, Mr. Stevenson (referencing RLS ofc), she creates a potion that will draw forth her Cool Side. This creates her alter ego, who names herself Emma Hyde. Emma because it's the name she's always liked, and Hyde because uhh… first thing that popped into her head?

Hyde has the cool goth/emo aesthetic, and with her laid back personality, easily slots into the Cool Kids. Oh, and among these cool kids is Dani Carew -- your typical bitchy popular girl.

(Do NOT question how signing up for class works at all. Hyde probably introduces herself as a transfer student (more like transformation student hahaha) and that’s all she needs because paperwork doesn’t exist in Disney Channel Original Movies.)

Cue your school based alter ego shenanigans. Jekyll likes the thrill of being Hyde but she's also worried because Hyde consistently ditches class, doesn't pay attention, and mouths off at the teachers. The only teacher that seems to even remotely like her is Stevenson, but he just likes everyone really. Jekyll is also frustrated because her grades are suffering.

Once homecoming comes around, Hyde's the one that ends up going. She has a great time! There’s a bit of a “oooh who’s this cool new kid” Cinderella moment. Jekyll wakes up feeling so alive after the experience!

There's probably a romantic love triangle thing going on as well, bc what's your DCO without romance. Not sure if both Jekyll and Hyde to have separate love interests or the same guy falls for both of them, but either way it is accidentally very polyamorous.

Anyway, at some point some drama between Jekyll & Carew escalates and Hyde decides to "murder" her. Since this is a DCO she will not be beating her to death with her cane, and instead just killing her popularity by spreading around an embarrassing photo or something.

This causes Lanyon to take issue with Jekyll's experiments, claiming she's gone too far. They have a fight that culminates in Lanyon exposing Jekyll/Hyde as the same person to the whole school.

Upset, Jekyll/Hyde have a Confrontation style fight before realizing that they have to accept each other to be their true self. They create a "cure" that merges them back together for a DCO happy ending. The moral is you have to embrace both sides of your personality, and Jekyll learns that while her school work is important, so is taking the time to have fun like Hyde. Post-merge, she retains Hyde's signature emo eyeshadow, and goes by Emma as often as Jekyll.

In like the last 5 minutes Mr. Stevenson reveals that he made the same potion back when he was a teen, which explains his affection for Hyde. We see a pic of his Hyde side, which is appropriately Cool for the 1970s. He also comments that he’s glad to see Jekyll has learned to take some time for herself. The end :)

Hi anon it is very understandable that you cannot stop thinking of these emo fruity poets, this is what the whole community does after all ahdfghs your question is very interesting I'm very happy you asked. I do want to say though that this is only my personal opinion and I do not think it has any solid evidence, so take it as such :')

First of all, when talking about jealousy I imagine we are not referring to possessiveness but rather to an envious resentment in regards to something that another person has (at least I hope so or this post will be completely useless lol); in this case, we are stating that the other has something desirable that we are lacking, meaning this feeling has to start from an underlying positive perception of the other. Now, this positive perception was certainly there in the first years of their friendship, first of all in the form of admiration. Guido was, in a way, an authority figure for Dante, especially in his earlier years. He was the one who recognized Dante's poetical talent and encouraged it; he was also one of the best poets in all of Florence, a great thinker, and was noble and rich, so Dante had a lot to gain from his friendship (poetical knowledge, connections...) but most of all it would only be normal to not only look up to such a person, but also to be influenced by him (let's remember Dante met him when he was only 18 and Guido was 25-28!! and the fact that they were best friends also implies another layer of idealization of the other). On behalf of Guido, we can just as confidently say that there was admiration. First of all because if Dante said they were best friends then it implies the feeling was mutual: Guido had to hold a high opinion of Dante as a person. Second of all, he had to appreciate him also as a poet as he chose to be his teacher and included him in the élite circle that constituted the ideal public of his poems (let us remember that Contini did describe him as snobbish, after all).

In both of them we can find a need to be distinguished from the others, and the fact that they found in each other that uniqueness would potentially give us a fertile ground for jealousy. However, I don't see it as something likely. Why? Well, in these early years we are talking about, their relationship was characterized by a strong unity of wills, as attested by Dante's poem Guido, i' vorrei. In this harmonic dynamic it seems unlikely that some kind of jealousy was harboured by either of them, as that would've rather created difficulties between the two. Yes, Guido did answer to that poem with S'io fosse quelli che d'amor fu degno however that sonnet only shows that their thoughts were starting to diverge. In fact, when their friendship teared, it was because they strongly believed in diametrically opposed theories, which can thus not provoke any envy. This can also be seen from a bigger picture, which is their pride: Dante himself believed he was too prideful and from what we can gather of Guido's personality he was not someone who held a high interest in others (something we would call pride too ;) ), so a feeling of jealousy? No, they could never.

dogging on hs is a full time job and we're employees of the month 🤞 ntm on hs tho bc i will end up playing hs3 if it's ever released bc i need to see my li happy.

im new to rc so i can't say much about the writers but i think what you said does make a lot of sense. when new characters were introduced in hs2 it had the same tone as hs1. i would say there was a slight improvement bc astaroth and hunger were 10x more interesting than hs1 characters but the dialogue and their way of speaking was the same as hs1. like how do you pride yourself on being soo much better than mortals and speak exactly like them? why are you, as lucifer, speaking like a frat boy? make it make sense.

anyway, as opposed to hs, the immortals are actually different from mortals. lane noticing the lack of human warmth and emotions on cains face, despite how serene and aristocratic he looks right off the bat immediately showed us that they're not easily understood and they operate differently than humans. and the dialogue flows so much more naturally in hsr and different characters have their own distinguished way of speaking. (interesting that cain sometimes speaks so formally like during the church scene, but at other times uses mortal slang. just how long has he been roaming around earth?)

tbh now that ive analyzed the flying scene, he does seem somewhat sincere and like you said, they're both only looking out for themselves so they have a sense of kinship. (also love that lane is so unbothered about saving humanity or whatever and specifically said shes only going to translate what she needs... im obsessed with her)

but is it insane of me to hope that he's just being nice for the sake of using her? ive been ranting to everyone who would listen about how much i adore the church scene, it was the exact balance of unsettling and sensual, psychedelic and dreamlike. it had so much tension and i loved how cain was portrayed in it. but he's being suspiciously sweet and protective of her, cute, but i miss the tension 😭 he and lane are some of the most interesting characters ive seen in a while and id hate for them to lose everything that makes them unique to a generic romance so early.

what about your theories on how they could've known each other earlier? and what do you think about cain's past?

it really is just in the book's nature i think because if you look at the massive growth of alice's writing between hs1 and hs2, it's wild how the writing for hs2 still isn't that much better except in certain areas (hunger is masterfully written, for example, and the emo vibe was captured pretty well too since alice is an angst grandmaster)

like heaven's secret is simply, intrinsically, a haphazard low-quality story - because that was the foundation in hs1 and so it's only natural hs2 and hs3 will be the same. and i'm not hating on it when i say that because i definitely get why some people love it but as someone who's a bit of a snob and doesn't like harry potter vibe stories, it's just not for me

i'm living for your thoughts and analysis of hs:r though omg i didn't catch on to cain's manner of speech swinging between formal and informal, that's so interesting?? but YES overall i'm also hoping that we'll get more of the intensity we got with the church scene and that the dark undertone to their dynamic will prove to be an actual Theme and not just a one-off thing. i would actually GRIEVE if cain's route devolved into basic lovey dovey shit 😭

when it comes to cain's past and his history with lane, i... have no clue tbh like that's just how good the suspense is. generally i'm expecting cain to be somehow tied to the event/entity/power that caused lane's memory gap because her dreams are clearly very significant and she dreams of him at the start of the book + that could be the reason why she got so woozy in the church scene instead of him seducing her with his power, because of whatever tie that binds them through that. but we know so little about him and his motivations that it's hard for me to theorize anything about his past. i adore pre-established dynamics though so i honestly think we're in for some juicy shit regardless of our theories. i can't wait!!!

This is my favorite concept fic.

The mirror of Erised is only one of seven mirrors that reflect the Seven Deadly Sins. (Desire, Pride, Wrath, Greed, Sloth, Gluttony, Vainglory). But unbeknownst, the flip side of each mirror reflects the Seven Virtues (Desire/Chastity, Pride/Humility, Wrath/Patience, Greed/Charity, Sloth/Diligence, Gluttony/Temperance).

Harry is a Hogwarts professor. Draco is an Unspeakable who comes to campus to do some research on the mirror of Erised. Sequence of events. Blah blah blah. They have to locate the other mirrors in an attempt to separate Draco's Mark from his body before it kills him. In doing so, they end up accidentally splitting Draco into two beings.

Draco 1 is a seven foot-tall Greek god of a man that makes Harry cream his jeans on sight, but that dude bolts as soon as the mirror magic lets him. The crumpled emo pile of sadness on the floor is Draco 2.

He's split along the lines of the Seven Sins and Virtues. So, obviously, the Adonis run amok must be the virtuous one. So they preemptively lock up the other guy. But they're wrong.

Harry ends up getting railed by one and falling in love with the other and then (magic whooshing sounds) he's normal Draco again and happy ending and nobody dies. I mean, nobody important, anyway. Draco 1 definitely goes on a murder spree. Sexily.

🌻Gods, that giftless grandchild au is insane, I love the idea big-time. I wonder what the breaking point was for Julietta to finally say "No, mi hijos and sobrinos will not go through what mis hermanos and I did"...

Julietta looked downstairs at the two girls, happy to see them scrambling and playing as if the world was their oyster. Isa and Dol were happy with their little made-up game, something that involved strange abilities that they called gifts like flight or super screams. Their eyes were aglow with the excitement that their Abuela had instilled in them, that, "In a few months, mis nietas, we will see if you will have gifts like your mothers and tio".

But Julietta didn't want that for Isabella or Dolores.

No, she knew exactly what having gifts was like. It was Julietta working herself to the bone to repair the bones of others, as if healing was fueled by her working, cooking, nonstop. It was Pepa hiding emotions or forcing specific moods on herself to follow the whims and desires of their Mamá, even when Pepa just wanted to let her emotions flow how they truly were. It was Bruno getting future visions of everything from births to deaths to everything in between, his only payment being migraines and judgement from the people surrounding them.

Julietta was determined to not let these things happen to her girls (Dol was just as much hers as Isa, just as Isa was Pepa's too). Julietta frowned at the candle sitting in the window, her mother's place of pride, and distastefully whispered, "You will not hurt these girls. I will get Pepa and Brunito, and you will not hurt them like you did us."

Now how they do it, I’m still debating. If you have idea, you should <3 totes give ‘em to me. But so far I have two ideas.

The triplets have gifts. Can’t give a gift to someone who already has a gift. So either one, the night before, they touch the doors. This causes them to fluctuate and then disappear. On their birthdays, they wake up to the doors aren’t. Or two, when no one’s looking, they touch the doors at the ceremony, and they disappear at the party. Either way results in one of the triplets (or even the husbands?) touching the door and it disappears.

Or they stall. They do whatever they can to stall the ceremony delay. Make them Kate. If they miss the time of 7:00 pm, then it can’t happen, maybe. They will make anything and everything go wrong. Casita even manages to hide the candle from Alma, so she can’t find it on time. By then, the door disappears, and technically, it’s not their fault. After all, it was Casita (who is willing to take the blame) who lost the candle, and gee, everything just went so wrong. Oh well.

Isabela and Dolores get over it, with the help of the triplets, their fathers and Casita. Alma’s like “well there’s still Luisa”. Yeah. Sure. See how that goes. Every time a ceremony fails, she loses hope. ANYWAY THIS IS SO COOL ‼️‼️‼️ The kids def invest in hobbies, Isabela with gardening, Dolores with music, Luisa with working out, Camilo doing shows with Bruno, Mirabel with embroidery and sewing, and Antonio with animal care.
