shu was a busy man, he had to stream almost everyday only having a few days off and those days off consisted of him working on whatever project he was working on. as his s/o, you understood that he needed to do this because it was his job. you were happy that he enjoyed his job but... it felt lonely at times.

you weren't as busy as him and your sleeping schedule mashed with his, leaving little time to talk and bond. even if the worlds were in your favor and aligned your sleeping time with his, you would only have small time to actually bond together, because he had some work after his rest.

you didn't want to disturb him with your feelings, he was already busy enough to even make him worry about you. but as weeks and days go by, this lingering feeling only disturbs you from your everyday life.

you were overthinking everything, you were even doubting if he actually loved you and it showed through how you acted around him. you would be more distant whenever he talked to you, you wouldn't lean into his touch whenever he touched you, you wouldn't even kiss him before you sleep, and you always did that.

and shu noticed every single thing, and boy oh boy was he worried. he tried offering his lap during streaming but you refused to say that you didn't want to disturb him. he tried buying your favorite food and you would only smile and put it in the fridge leaving it there, claiming you were full even if you were starving.

he didn't know what he did so he did what he was good at, observing. he knows how your body talks.

you've been moping around him. when he was streaming, he felt some gaze coming from his door. he looked back and the door was slightly ajar, he always closed his door whenever he streams. always hears a knock on his door and upon opening, he's greeted with a tray with a bottle of water and a plate full of his favorite snacks. you always did that, but you were the one personally giving him the food and giving him a kiss on the cheek reminding him to not stress himself out.

but you were doing this instead.

shu knew something was really off, and he decided to confront you about it. on his day off, he invited you to eat dinner with him. ordering his and your favorite foods, and watching a movie with him.

it was a simple cute date night he figured you liked since you've been sending him tiktok links about fun cute dates at home.

"i've ordered the food already, it should be coming in about an hour or so." shu looks at you and gives you a small smile, patting the empty space beside him on the couch. "an hour? why will it take that long?" you ask, plopping down on the sofa chair next to the couch. shu purses his lips, hands now placed on the pillow on his lap, "traffic, and also the restaurants nearby are closed so i had to order far." you hum and nod your head, reaching for the remote next to shu, but instead was met by shu's hand that had his hand on the remote. you quickly withdraw your hand and instead, placed it on the rest of the couch. shu sees this and hands you the remote.

"what do you want to watch?" he asks. you blush, embarrassed as you grab hold of the remote looking through what movies were on the USB. "this one... are you okay with this one?" shu looks at your pick and hums, "i'm fine with that."

it's been 15 minutes since the movie started. you're shifting uncomfortably in your sofa chair, the space was too small for your liking, you should've accepted the offer to sit beside shu- at least that would've been comfortable and you would've been able to snuggle up to hi-- what were you thinking? what if he doesn't like that?? god, (name) you should ask before touching them, what if they don't like your touch? you shake your head, staring straight at the tv, trying to get rid of these thoughts.

shu wasn't watching the movie. in fact, there was a much more interesting scene to watch, and that was you. unbeknownst to you, shu has been observing you. you would glance at the empty seat beside him, playing it out as if you were only asking for a pillow beside him. then you would shift in your seat, trying to get comfortable, eyeing the seat beside him, again, playing it out as if you were stretching.

it was only 15 mins. 15 mins to take shu to finally confront you.

shu reached for the remote placed on the coffee table, pausing the movie that was immediately followed with your head whipping towards him with a face evident of confusion.

"why'd you pause it?" you ask, furrowing your brows.

"what's wrong?" shu asks, eyeing your every move.

"what do you mean? why'd you pause the movie?"

"did i do something wrong?" you widen your eyes, but immediately revert them back.

"what do you mean shu?" you question, hoping he didn't notice you shrink under his intense gaze.

"you didn't come to my room during stream, you usually come with food but you left them at the door." shu utters out, worry apparent in his eyes.

"you're avoiding me. you're avoiding my touch, you didn't want to sit beside me today." his voice comes off shaky, eyes looking at your body language.

he noticed? your mouth opens to say something to comfort him but you halt, words stuck in your throat as you look at shu, his nervous gaze, and his shaky voice. he cared? he noticed you avoiding him... you tried your best to act normal... but he noticed?

shu reaches out for your hand, and you let him. both his hands rubbing both your hands comfortingly as he looks at them, slowly looking up into your eyes, "did i upset you, hm? can you tell me what i did wrong babe?"

you felt words bubble up in your throat. all the concealed feelings, all the thoughts that haunted you and kept you up at night, everything is threatening to spill.

but nothing comes out, and instead, you cry. shu is startled, immediately reaching to your face, his body leaving the seat and settling to kneeling in front of you, "hey... hey, are you okay?" shu worryingly asks, his hand tilting your head upwards to examine your face, but you jerk your head away, sniffling as you raise your hand up to wipe any tears that rolled down your face. shu takes none of that, and reaches for your head once again, gently nudging it to his face. "look at me, please?" he pleads, and you cave in. you slowly look at him, you almost forgot how deep his purple eyes are and how you can drown in them so easily. shu gives you a little smile, "there you go," he says his purple eyes resembling the vast deep galaxy skies.

"now, can we talk about what's bothering you?"

you spilled everything. from you feeling lonely, to how you think he doesn't love you anymore, you said everything. while you poured your heart out, you were constantly looking at shu's reaction, but his face remained the same, calm and unmovable-- well that would be what it seems like to other people. not a lot of people know this but shu's eyes tell emotions. his flames are constantly fluctuating, growing larger and reverting back to their size. his eyes tell that he's hurt, that he feels guilty for leaving you alone with your thoughts.

his face may not seem like it cares too much, but his eyes and his flames tell everything.

"so yeah, i just felt alone yk? it's... i'm sorry, shu-"

"no, no, no. it's my fault, i should've left some days open for you... 'm sorry for leaving you all alone by yourself." shu says, hands still holding yours.

"don't be sorry! you were busy and it's your job... how can we pay rent without working?" you joke, hoping to lighten the mood. shu chuckles at this and gives your hand a little squeeze, heating up his hand as comfort.

"still... it was a dick move of me to not pay attention to my sweet beloved s/o when i'm absolutely free." you giggle at the nickname, giving him a little kiss on the cheek, "you're right, it was a dick move to ignore your beautiful, caring, sweet, beloved s/o when you're absolutely free." shu chuckles and smiles at you.

suddenly, shu's phone rings. you look over to him and he looks over to his phone, looking at the screen, "food's here," he says. rising from his seat, but you stop him, "i'll go grab it." giving him a small smile before rising from your seat to grab the food.

"i've been thinking abt you all day" you whisper, arms wrapped around shu's waist as you lay down on the bed. "yeah?" he says, arms draped over your shoulders while his other hand is rested on your waist. "mhm, i missed you so much." you sit up, leaning on his chest as you carefully inspect his beautiful face. " 'm sorry..." he apologizes, looking at you with his puppy dog eyes. you smile at this, tucking away a fallen hair, "don't be, you were busy and it's your job." he gives you a small pout, "still... i should've left some days open for you... how can i make it up to you?" you hum, smiling shyly as you thought of something, "well...." shu raises an eyebrow, "well?"

"can i?" you ask shyly, looking down at his pants, gently caressing his thighs. shu raises an eyebrow in surprise. how long has he hadn't touched you? to the point you would ask it yourself. you, who was shy even to ask the waiter for an extra ketchup packet.

"sure, go ahead baby." you look up at him with a shocked look on your face, you weren't expecting him to agree that fast. you stayed still for a moment before regaining your composure. you sit on his thigh, hands placed on his chest, as it travels under his shirt.

shu sighs, letting you feel him up as his eyes gaze into yours. "mhm..." your hands creep down, feeling the bulge that started to grow. you inch closer to him, eyes trailing down to his lips, and back up to his eyes. his breaths are short and it almost sounds like he's out of breath, "you can kiss me you know?" shu breathed out, he didn't even know he was holding on. "i know," you whisper, your mouth leaning to meet his. your lips were parted slightly and shu took the chance to slip his tongue inside, tongues tangling with each other as you stifled a moan. "shu," you whined, temporarily leaning away from him, "mhm.. i got you." he assures you, hands pulling you in for another kiss.

you tap his arm, and shu parts, watching as you gasp for air "how long have i left you all alone here?" he asks, hands placed on your waist, rubbing it comfortingly. "too long..." you mumble, your hands placed on his bulge, groping it as shu lets out a moan, "too too long..." you start, unbuttoning his pants, "i really missed you, you know?" you pull the zipper down, shu's hazy eyes carefully watching your every move. "you should take responsibility for this." you pull away, taking off your shirt, "c'mere." shu calls out, patting his thigh, you obliged, hovering over his erected tip, "i'll take care of you," his hands guiding you down slowly, "i'll take good care of you."

Like reader is a detective like kudo shinichi from DC and she is a new person on the police force. Its her first time attending a heist and she’s smart yk yk and explains to the inspector how joker stole the treasure. Joker and hachi hears all about this while disguised as one of the police, even though they already stole the treausure they were both curious of the new person. Hachi is like “ooh this girl is smart! WAIT too smart! She might catch us!” Joker on the other hand stays silent while observing her, its not like this isnt the first detective he’s seen but something about her….makes him feel something OO LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.

A new detective was recently hired by Inspector Oniyama.

Today ( or rather night ) was rather special considering that it will be the new detective's first heist ! Although the expectations were not that high , she hopes that she can perform well, or maybe even better than her boss and the rest of her coworkers.

The inspectors plan was simple , a bit too simple. Non the less , she didn't say much and got to work. She was quick , and smart, able to pick up anything out of the ordinary.

She had notice quickly how one of the police were acting quite suspicious . So ,she kept her suspicions , finding an whichever opportunity to question that spesific police.

The police was of course non other than Joker and Hachi themselves. Hachi was nervous , starting to panic inside but Joker kept his cool..

She found it weird on how these two spesific police would walk of at the most random times... Unless , they are the thieves , but it was a thought. She decided to follow the two.

She had caught the two in the act of coming out of their disguises.

— " Aha! My suspicions were correct after all ! "

Joker , impressed by the detective's quick discovery. He was shocked , considering how during his past heist , he's never gotten caught in the act of transformation unless he reveals it upfront.

Not to long after that , Inspector Oniyama caught up to it too, but failed once again to catch the Mysterious Joker along with his partner !

Inspector Oniyama was impressed by her , and how she explained to him how Joker escaped and how they pulled it of.

But did joker actually leave yet ? Nope. The two eves dropped on her explanation , hachi was shocked and started to panic ( again ) on how smart she is. And with that , they left to the sky joker

— " hm , the newbie's good. I can't wait help but look forward to seeing her on our next heist. " He chuckles.

After that? He wanted to see her very often. Even started getting slightly disappointed if he didn't manage to see her.

Hachi can only sigh at how his master has fallen in love ... ♡

I can’t understand everything so this is the best I can do with this page. my japanese is like, super basic and i struggled. ugh. I’m so tired. but I wanted to do it because it’s SO cute I love the babies the and the domestic SasuNaru. Ugh, Naruto makes such a gorgeous mommy I can’t take it.

This is [SORANO Natsumi] Sunny Family – Naruto dj [JP] doujinshi and I think this is how Naruto should have ended. 😂

here are some things that I couldn’t really understand but gave meaning to anyway. I scoured through the whole doujin with my pathetic japanese and can’t understand or see what the babies’ names are, sorry.

from right to left, my explanation on my incompetent attempt at translating this one page of this doujin:

panel 1, baby naruto: before you give me shit, baby naruto calls naruto kaachan (母ちゃん) which is closer to mommy.

panel 1, baby naruto: he said something about octopus (tako ・タコ), and naruto in the next panel has a sausage with one end cut with a knife to make it look like an octopus

panel 1, baby sasuke: he says something about Kani-san (カニさん), which means crab. so this is me guessing he’s asking for crab in his bento.

panel 4, sasuke: he’s asking naruto if he’ll make it on time because they still have the drop off the kids at the nursery, but i had to shorten/give meaning and keep the words few enough to fit in the bubble

panel 4, naruto: he actually says “no more time?” in the raw, I think, but that doesn’t make sense translated literally.

panel 5, sasuke: the text near his face, i’m not sure what it actually means, but he’s sort of saying that baby sasuke wants to imitate baby naruto and wants the “up.” I think.

edit * panel 5, sasuke’s bubble: he says let’s not get in naruto’s way, but I sort of gave meaning that he’s cooking so the kids shouldn’t bother him.

panel 6, baby sasuke: he literally says, “Daddy! Do that!” idk what the fuck that means but sasuke probably knows what it means. However! The kanji is different. baby sasuke says chichiue (父上) which is a more formal “father.” But I put in daddy because baby naruto calls sasuke in another page touchan (父ちゃん) which means daddy.

panel 6, sasuke: in the raw sasuke says something about having to change clothes, so I think he still has to change the babies’ clothes before they can go out.

panel 7, baby sasuke: the sfx above baby sasuke, is sooo weird idk what it means so i just put swing there.

panel 7, baby naruto: it’s not an sfx but it says “ore mo!” which means “Me too!” but why would a baby use “ore” huhu babies refer to themselves in third person. would’ve loved to see the baby say his own name.

panel 8, babies: it says “kyaaa” which means they’re having fun being swung around by their strong daddy.

panel 8, sasuke: There’s kanji and katakana down in the lower left where Sasuke is getting frustrated with the kids being naughty when they’re running late to the nursery, and cannot for the life of me read it.

anyhoo I hope you enjoy staring at jounin!sasunaru being domestic and raising their babies together. Naruto is gorgeous and I love his long hair. Sasuke is just as handsome and I miss this hair on him so bad. in the doujin they’re very responsible parents, even though they didn’t really plan on the children in the first place, and sasuke sort of didn’t want them. **edit: they do however, raise them into good young boys and capable genin, and they love them very much.

For some reason, hanging out with her always made my day. She always smiled, no matter how lame or boring something was, she'd always smile. At least more than 2 times a day. She always had these earbuds plugged into her ears, listening to who knows what. But she could always hear me or Gon even from a distance, so sometimes I think that she's not listening to anything at all. I'm always asking her, can you hear me, but she always responds with a yes. I really can't understand this mysterious girl.

After all of the commotion seized, Gon and I left our old selves behind to start a new. We went back to Whale Island, where it was peaceful like always, and lived the rest of our youth there in peace. Well, to be honest, we are still teens and we aren't quite.. You know, peaceful. Gon went fishing like always, catching that giant fish over and over again, I actually feel bad for all of the holes Gon has put through it's mouth! But, regarding that, we actually met a girl who was around our age, she's pretty tall for her age! Around an inch or two taller than me. She's just recently moved to Whale Island, so now Gon-- and I hang out with her I guess. She's actually pretty cool and collected.

Birds chirping, blue sky with no clouds, bright green grass... What's not to like about this nice weather? It's not like me to say this but the weather is unusually really nice!

"Hey, Gon! Let's go to the forest!" I called out to my best friend. He shouts back from inside the house, most likely the kitchen. "Sorry, Killua! I promised Mito-san that I'll help her in the kitchen today!" He says, rushing to the opened door and pressing his hands together in apology. "You can go hang out with (y/n) though!" He grins such an innocent smile and starts heading back towards the kitchen. Popping his head out of the door frame so that I could still see him, he says, "I'll catch up if I finish cooking with Mito-san!" I sigh and smile right back at him. "Alright! I'll go look for her!" I stood up, walking towards the house that she lived in.

Crossing the busy main street, there was a lot of people talking to others, from what I could tell, they looked very... Worried? I didn't pay much attention to them though. Meeting up with (y/n) and what we were going to do was all I could think about. I arrived at the house, and somehow, it had... A weird aura around it. I go to the right side of the house and throw a rock at the middle window. "Heey! You in there?" I call out to the girl. "(y/n)? You there!?" I say a little louder. No answer? I thought of climbing up the wall to get to the window but ehh... No thanks. I decided to go to the front door like a normal person. I knock on the door. "S'cuse me! Is (y/n) here?" I ask. The house is weirdly dark, though it's not unusual to see a dark house when it's still broad daylight outside. "Excuse me.." I mumble and walk inside.

Hearing two pairs of footsteps from behind me, I turn around, my eyes falling upon a young woman and a child. "Oh! You must be.." says the taller one. "Killua!" The little girl who looks very similar to (y/n) shouts. They approach me. They don't seem very dangerous, but I keep my guard up anyway. "Yes... I am Killua. Is there anything you need?" I ask. The older one speaks up. "Ah! I'm Yulia, (y/n)'s older sister... This is Noir, her younger sister..." She trails off every sentence she says. "But, have you seen (y/n)? She's been missing since last week, I thought she would have come back sooner or later but she never leaves over than a week before telling us.." Yulia has clear signs of worry in her expression, but (y/n) missing?! She's rather cautious of her surroundings, why would she be missing?! "Uh- Ms.Yulia? Do you remember the last place you've seen her?" I ask. That idiot! What in the world is she doing?!

"No... I remember her leaving the house and that's it.. K-Killua, if you can, please help us find (y/n)!" She pleads. Well duh, why wouldn't I help!? I might as well just find her myself! "Don't worry. I'll find her." I find her room inside the house and look around for any clues. "Nothing seems out of the ordinary.." I mumble. Snooping around more and figuring out there's nothing here to learn about makes me leave the house. "Where could that idiot be?! Arghh she's making me so irritated!" I ruffle my hands in my hair, trying to think of possible places she could be. "Whale Island isn't that big. Let's start by searching the island, then going on the boat to see if she's not on the island." I mutter to myself.

I arrive at the lake where Gon always fishes. "(y/n)! Are you here?" I call out once before scanning the water and scenery. "Not here."

I look around the shopping area, but still no signs of (y/n). I asked around, but they all either said they hadn't seen her or that she'd gone to a different place. Where is Gon when you need him? Why is he still working in the kitchen?! It's been hours already!

I've looked all over Whale Island, but I still can't find her. "What, are my assassin skills fading away when I need them the most?!" I yell in frustration. "All that leaves is another place... Where would that place be?" Why is (y/n) so mysterious?! But if I think about all the places (y/n) might be... Mm... Wait. No way... She can't be! If you think about it..!

I rush to the dock where the boats are being loaded. I hop on and have it take me to my destination.

I arrived at a town, running to the top of the hill where a big tree lived. "Kirikos! Are you there!?" I call out. "It's Killua!" "... Killua?" An unfamiliar boy peeks out of the door of the house I was standing in front of. This is the son of the Kiriko if I can recall correctly. "Ah! I remember you! What are you doing here by the tree?" He asks with a smile. It's been quite a long time since I've seen him. "Ah, well, do you think you could take me straight to the Hunter Exam?" The Kiriko tilts his head in confusion, well, of course, he wouldn't know why I need to go back to the hunter's exam. "I- Uh... It's a long story... Do you think you could!? Please!" I bow. I need to hurry! A sudden chuckle from the Kirko jerks my head up. "Ahaha! Sure, why not?" "...! Thanks, man!"

I arrive at the Hunter Exam, looking around frantically for that (h/c) hair-colored idiot. "It's starting..!" "Yeah! So excited!" I hear bunches of people whispering about the Hunter Exam starting... It shouldn't be starting right now right? Shouldn't there be another day left or so?! I start to squirm through the crowd. Is she really not here...? I spot a familiar shade of (favorite color) at the corner of my eyes. "(y/n)?!?" I whisper, keeping my voice down. I follow the familiar color, finding the one I need to look for. As I'm in her hearing distance, I reach out my hand to her. "(y/n)--- TONPA?!?!" I go to (y/n)'s side, smack the juice out of her hand, and put my hands on her shoulders. "Tonpa! What the heck do you think you're doing to her!? Don't give her a freaking laxative!" ".... A laxative?" I face (y/n) and shake her. "What did your parents and sister teach you?! Didn't they tell you to not take anything from a stranger!? What are you doing at the Hunter Exam anyways?!" That fatty decides to speak up, remembering my face somehow. "A-ah Killua! What are you doing back here at the Hunter Exam? Ahaha..." There was a small 'tch' that came from his mouth but I ignored it. "We're leaving!" I say and pull her to an emergency exit that only us Hunters know about.

"Killua! What are you doing!?" "What am I doing!?! What are YOU doing!?!?" "I'M DOING THE FREAKING HUNTER EXAM OF COURSE!" She yells in anger, pulling her arm away. "I want to stand on the same ground as you and Gon! You don't know how it feels to be the one who always seems and needs to be protected!" I stand in place, listening to her yell. It's like they've frozen me to stay in one spot. Is.. is this how she's always felt...? But.. she's always smiled? She smiled every day... "I.. (y/n)--" "SHUT UP! I'm going back to the Hunters Exam!" She turns around and quietly mumbles some words I can't hear quite clearly. "(y/n)..! Wait!" I ran towards her and took hold of her wrist. She pulls her arm away and runs away, definitely not in the direction of the Hunters Exam. "(y/n)!" I started to chase after her, being faster than her, I caught up to her quite quickly. "(y/n)! Stop!" "Stop chasing after me! Go away!" She starts to run faster, but I bet her legs are pushing themselves. She hasn't run this fast before, especially during long distances. Flashing lights start to appear, and I notice that we're now in the city part of the place. She starts running into a busy street. There's absolutely no way that she's conscious right now! She's going to get hit! "(y/n)! Move!!" I scream at the top of my lungs, running faster and faster before I can------

She stutters, hiding her face behind her hands. I take one of her hands and lightly place my lips on there. "Of course, milady~" I sweetly say, teasing her. "K-k-k-Killua! I-I-I-I need to go and tell the others that you're awake!! E-excuse me!" She whimpers and immediately runs out of the room. So I'm in a hospital huh... I wonder how long it's been.

A chuckle escapes my mouth as I slowly close my eyes and rest them. "Can you hear me..? It's been too long since I've last heard that sentence."

let's go with gold first, of course, hehe. gold has witnessed her change a lot, she used to be very playful with gold - rollerskating and skateboarding together in the park. she was not as refined as she is today and she's certainly rough around the edges when she was younger! he loves her for being able to find time to play with him even as an older sister (who can be busy). he's aware that she's changed so much but it doenst change the fact he still knows her deep down and loves her regardless. he's usually very relaxed with her, but he also knows when not to step on the "you are fucked" territory but he still does anyway lol because she will. probably be a little irritated by him HDFJKSAHJSFAHHAA just because theyre close doesnt mean she doesnt drag him out of danger and reprimand all the time 😭😭😭its tough love and big sister energy this is normal.

Aira: Yeah. This is obviously some sort of boutique. It doesn’t give off fantasy vibes at all…

Sora: “HiHi~ This is just how we do things!”

“The seven islands on the ‘Phantom Airship’ have all sorts of different cultures on them – they’re not all based on a fantasy theme!”

“It makes it easier to tell the difference between them so it’s like hitting two birds with one stone –The inventors sure did a good job~♪”

Mayoi: Umm… that felt more like an excuse as opposed to a point of detail. Does that mean this island is a boutique?

Sora: “HuHu~♪ This island is called the ‘Queen’s Island’!”

“The ‘Queen’ who rules over this island loves cute things and has a castle full of them. That’s the backstory for this island~♪”

Aira: Ohh, the backstory sounds like something straight from a fantasy novel, at least.

Tatsumi: Yes. But a certain person has come to mind when you mentioned the “Queen’s Island”.

Arashi: “Ehehe. Welcome, travellers. Her Majesty the ‘Queen’ has come to welcome you all in person ♪”

Aira: Narukami-senpai!

Tatsumi: Hehe. I’ve heard that it's an NPC, but it feels as though the real Arashi-san is here.

Arashi: “The real Arashi? What? Are you saying there are fake Arashis around?”

“Well, nevermind that. The one thing I seek is beauty… In any case, you four will have to undergo an an inspection for entering this island ♪”

Hiiro: Hmm. An inspection…?

We’ve already entered the castle but we have to do an inspection right now?

Arashi: “Oh. Oh my oh my oh my…!”

Hiiro: ?

Arashi: “Have you four entered through illegal means!? No one is allowed to enter my castle without my permission if they’re not beautiful!”

“I’ve decided. If you cannot prove your beauty to me, then it’s off with your head!”

Aira: Whaaaaat!? How did things come to that!? This is crazy!

Why would you say that!? That logic is way too cruel!

Sora: “HeHe~ That’s how things work here!”

Aira: A–Are you sure this is okay? You’re lucky you get to cover everything up with that one phrase…!

Sora: “Yes! Sora is acting exactly as programmed so this isn’t a bug~”

“Anyway, if you want to enter the ‘Queen’s Island’, there is a trial you must pass.”

“The ‘Queen’ seeks all things that are beautiful so all you have to do is show your skills of expression you’ve cultivated over the years as an idol~♪”

Arashi: “Ehehe. You sure know me well…♪”

“Everyone, stand in front of the mirror and strike a pose. If I deem your pose beautiful, then you shall enter free of punishment ♪”

“And… I’ll let you use the accessories in this castle. Your current look is somewhat unsightly.”

Tatsumi: Hmm… In other words, this is a “visual” trial.

We mustn’t let things be game over from the very beginning, so let’s take on this challenge.

Aira: T-Tattsun-senpai, you’re so calm… I’m guessing you’ve gotten used to the game?

Tatsumi: Well, there aren’t any cruel trials such as this one in the bible. I understand this is a world before human rights were established.

Mayoi: Uuu, if I was born in such a world, I think I would be persecuted. VR feels oddly real so it feels even worse for my heart…

Tatsumi: Well, it’s a video game, after all. Let’s think of it as if it’s allowing us to feel the warmth of the real world, despite the fact that we’re in an imaginary one.

In any case, this is the time to show how far we’ve grown as idols, everyone.

Hiiro: Indeed. I agree.

We didn’t come onboard the “Phantom Airship” because we wanted to enjoy the video game – we’re here to do a job.

To be frank, I still don’t believe it when I hear that there are people who look up to us… but if those people do indeed exist, then there’s no way I wouldn’t do my best for them.

Mayoi: Y-You’re right… I cannot cause you all to lag behind because of me, so I shall also work hard.

Yeosang PM 5 : 07/28/23

(These were yeosangs firsts attempts at going live on the app- and it was doing him DIRTY like toktoq do better 😭😭😭)

In the first one he was like "is this thing on? Can you all see me" we in fact could not see him. He was confused since he hadn't done this before and when he saw that no one could actually see him he restarted the live

.....however it failed.....

But then he tried again and it went through! He greeted us once again and said the lighting wasn't the best and after going around the room, he settled on sitting in bed cuz it had the best lighting.

He asked us if we had eaten but he couldn't see the comments cuz he was a little far so he grabbed the phone and brought it close and he asked us again.

He said he had just gotten back from waterbomb rehearsal so his throat might be a little dry and raspy.

He said they had the waterguns set on stage and that it looked like a lot of fun.

He said he ate abura soba and that he had eaten it twice since getting to Japan.

The live was lagging and then cut out 😭😭😭

He sent a little "why" in the chat before starting another live

He asked if it was working but then it lagged and cut out again

Tokyo Babylon - CLAMP Premium Collection - Commentary Part 12

Welcome to the latest installment of this commentary, that we finally reached the halfway of this story. I don't know what hits me to do this thing but, 3 months are pretty long isn't it? At this rate, I will finish this commentary by the end of the year lol

Anyway, FINALLY, Save.B. Oh my, a classy, beautiful chapter about high school problems that was solved in a not-so-nice way by a certain triangle bastard. Of course, it's a sarcasm.

Ah, a classy, normal chapter cover by Subaru biting his student card. Is it even legal? Is it okay??? Also his shoulder turning triangle doesn't look fine. Someone please stop him from hanging out with Seishiro.

Let's start the chapter!

Where were we last time? Oh right, Subaru infiltrated MS Institute, Hokuto told Seishiro about him and he had a hilarious expression regarding that. So, we started the chapter with Nagi Kumiko (bolding this becuase her name and Hashimoto's is similar) giving a quite religious lecture.

She said, inside everyone, there is a God. The reason why everyone can do their best in their situation is because all of them have a God within themselves. The students are great existences by itself. Please be confident about yourself, please be kind to yourself. There is no one unneeded in this world; everyone is Gods, everyone is an only existence.

That's why, please forgive yourself. Please forgive anyone else. Then, please be strong.

I don't want to comment much about her seemingly nice speech, but do I believe her words or not? I do agree that each human is their own being, that each of us is different from the others, and because of that, we should treasure and be kind to ourselves. But her words that say "everyone each is a God" is quite..... I don't know how to say that. Off? It depends on how they view themselves, and this is what makes this lecture seemed to be strange.

First, I must explain how religions work in Japan. If you saw several asking videos to Japanese people about religion, they would confused. But they do believe that God exists. God is still a part of Japanese people's belief---they would come to shrines every New Year and pray for health, they would pray to the God every exams (lol), some of their holidays are dedicated towards God (Spring and Autumn Equinox, for examples) and finally, they also go to shrines after giving birth, when their children reach 3, 5 and 7 years old, and adopted Buddhist's style for the funeral. They, however, didn't notice it, because unlike countries that has religion as their basic principle, no one actually taught them about "God". They probably only thought that God is an entity beyond them, and that's it.

So, as the conception of God is different in Japan and probably other part of the world, Kumiko-sensei here used the fact that Japanese people doesn't understand the conception of God in their life to make them believe that they themselves are "God".

But the thing is, if they are one by one is a God, why should they listen to someone else? Why should they forgive someone else? Doesn't this explanation become contradictive?

Yes, if the listeners are sane enough to think right. The students came here are those who are depressed, troubled, and probably half-giving up their lives. And they are students ranged from middle school to high school---they are easy to be influenced by medias.

Damn, I can make an essay of this topic alone.

Let's move on. So everyone was kind of amazed by her words, and came to her, except for Subaru and Kuniko.

Subaru was, probably amazed and confused, as how she could make her students moved without raising her voice or forcing them to it. He then noticed another person that wasn't affected by the teacher's words😭😭 damn, it's so cute huhu

Kuniko was looking down, so Subaru glanced at her and when she noticed him, HE SMILED CUTELY 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 KUNIKO WAS LIKE, "Don't touch me!" AND SUBARU PANICKED 😭😭😭 CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE

After that, the class ended and the teacher before called both Subaru and Kuniko to Kumiko's office.

Look at how ma boy seeming to be so nervous around woman. Kumiko told Subaru to not be nervous, and asked him what he thought about the institute. Subaru replied by "there are a lot of middle and high schoolers."

Then, she began to explain her view, that a religion is a "believing power"---if we believe at something, it will be our support to keep living. She said that the support she mentioned before could be religion, and the ones that needed this support the most is students. She then said, the belief about "children have no worries" is a lie. Children, just like adults, can't give up at something, that's why they have more serious, innocent worries. She said she wants to save such children.

She then told Subaru that he must have worries that he couldn't tell anyone as well, so she wanted to help him as well. She then talked to Kuniko as well and told her that their meeting in the park before isn't a coincidence, that helping her makes her happy. But Kuniko told her that she did what she taught her---doing her best praying, loving herself, but nothing changed. No one helped her in the class. :(

This teacher, then, told her that her praying isn't enough. The result shouldn't be hurried. She then said she knew that her classmates' attacks is hurting her, but she should believe that she can endure it. And she should forgive those people. Then Kuniko stopped fighting against her.

WELL, SENSEI. This is the thing... Praying without giving an effort to try it is also wrong. You won't get anywhere just by praying. I don't know which religion did you refer to but, miss, please. She is pretty much a con artist at this point---telling someone that he/she is a God, but she also said her prayers aren't enough. Maybe this is why her targets are children, hmmm.

At least, Subaru wasn't getting into her words, he even gave a comment that "this person, rather than a leader of a cult, she is like a music teacher"😭 and Kuniko-chan questioned her teachings. That's good.

The next day, Kuniko was confronted by her classmates for not coming to school (wtf indeed) and they bullied her as usual. But one of the girl happened to see a Subaru from a far (😂) and they ran away from the scene, leaving Kuniko alone.

Then Subaru, who is taking a stroll (like what the hell is he doing there, taking a stroll, when he needs to catch up school 😭 but it's cute and break is needed every other time so he is forgiven) saw Kuniko coming out from the trees and was surprised by it.

Subaru saw her wounds and asked her what happened, but Kuniko, probably hasn't realized it's a new friend she made in MS Institute and as he is still a stranger, told Subaru to get away and accidentally scratched his face ;;;;;;; Subaru didn't evade it, and received it, so Kuniko was surprised.

Yes, Subaru's tendency to accept wounds. Maybe Seishiro is right for questioning how he didn't die yet for given his personality lol

And then this whole scene 😭😭😭😭 Subaru took out the handkerchief that I believe to be made by Hokuto (because it has S initial) and the thing he said is, "my sister washed it yesterday so it's okay!". Kuniko was touched by Subaru's act of kindness and Subaru thought he should say something else, so he told her, "This is also ironed well!" and when Kuniko didn't respond him again, he proceeded to say "Di---did I say something strange???" 😭😭😭 CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE

Setting aside the plot, appreciation to how well this scene is written and how pretty Subaru's clothes that day. Subaru was extra pretty in this panel. I want to know what clothes Hokuto used, since she loves to use pairing clothes with Subaru.

Go back to the plot,

They then sat down in the swings where Subaru accompanied Kuniko. Kuniko asked why Subaru was there, then he replied that he happened to see it in the magazine. Kuniko explained that she met Kumiko in this park after she was bullied. She then said such bullying isn't cute; everyday, she was being hated and punched. The adults thought it was just a child fight, but when someone is punched and hurted, it's not a fight anymore, but an abuse.

Subaru asked if she told the teachers about that, but everyone said the same thing: "it's because you aren't assertive enough", "you are responsible for that as well". She then cried while saying "why am I being hated by the girls have to do with me not being assertive? What responsibility I have that I should be punched and stepped on?"

Then, that one sus teacher told her that "Kuniko-chan being bullied is because you don't know about yourself. You should love yourself more, and believe in yourself. There's no way that people won't understand each other. That's why, I know it's hard for you, but let's pray for yourself". That's why she prayed hard, that's why she came to study at MS Institute. But nothing changed, and she is still bullied.

It's a pretty sad scene... I didn't explain this in previous chapter, but as you know, bullying in Japan is pretty serious. If someone doesn't get into a circle, that's how they got bullied. Because they didn't belong to any party. Japanese people live by the feeling of belonging to a community, which is why they have what was said to be "honne" (one's true self) and "tatemae" (one's mask). This sense of belong to a circle lessened nowadays, but those who couldn't bring themselves to get into a circle was bullied. The bullying is often even more severe than what Kuniko went through, to the point they chose suicide or hiding themselves inside their room. This problem isn't solved yet even until now.

And what I love the most is Subaru's response to Kuniko's story.

Subaru lent Kuniko his jacket, and he told her, that he is sorry because he didn't know what to say.

"You told me such a story... But I know I don't understand even one per 10 billion of what Kuniko feels, so I don't know what to say."

His words and actions are simple, but I realized that, it was what Kuniko needed. For someone to not justify their ideals on her, for someone to actually listen to her story, and saying that she is being hurt to someone else is okay. I learned from him that not everyone wants to be given the solution, that they are okay with just being listened to. People thought, that once they were told someone's problem, they would like a solution. But no. Sometimes, they just wanted to be heard. Sometimes, they just wanted to be consoled by soothing words, that told them that their pain is okay, that they are allowed to say their pain.

For me, this is one of the most powerful scenes in Tokyo Babylon. Subaru is strong in his own way, and that power lies in his belief. And the words Subaru gave to her, is what makes her able to move forward. She conveyed her gratitude to Subaru's words.

Next scene! Hokuto and Seishiro were baking cookies when Subaru excused himself to go out. The song Hokuto sings tho, it's pretty hilarious 😭 Her song's lyrics is, "I'm a cute housewife. Wednesday and Friday are unburnable trash day. I'm also attending city's wife meeting la la" 😭😭 Damn, her desire of being a housewife.

Hokuto asked Subaru how is work and Subaru said there is no issue yet. So Hokuto gave him a cookie.

Subaru said the cookie is delicious and Hokuto was being happy LOL She then told Subaru to bring some as snack, and Subaru went out. Then Hokuto patted Seishiro's head as he didn't have much time to spend with Subaru as of lately.

Then, Seishiro asked Hokuto if it's okay for him to poison Subaru who has a strong moral and common sense, and Hokuto said "if it's Subaru, it's okay". But she added that if Seishiro made him crying...

"I will kill you."

My lady didn't joke around. She really threatened Seishiro with a baking knife and good to know she is holding into her words up until the end. CLAMP and their powerful women.

Anyway, the cookies was burned lol

Next! Subaru came to MS Institute and he asked Kuniko how her wounds. He also offered her the cookies Hokuto made and damn, the potential romance 😭

Damn, I would be whipped at the thought of Subaru. Totally can understand you, Kuniko.

Anyway, things happened after that. Kuniko was facing another bullying---this time, it was during art class. Her classmates were playing with her painting and she had enough when they decided to take Subaru's handkerchief and using it to wipe the paint.

So she began to fight back and attacked her classmates. She punched one of the girls and her other classmates tried to stop her. But one of the girls took her painting knife and stabbed her eye. She was bleeding so bad, but the first thing she did was grabbing Subaru's handkerchief---her memento of power, as it reminds her of Subaru's words. :(

It's pretty sad scene, but it tells us that Kuniko's newfound strength comes from Subaru's words that consoled her with his kindness. It's a sad, but it's also a powerful scene, showing growth from someone who is being bullied, to someone who can fight back.

Still, it's not CLAMP without eye stabbing, huh?

Next, Kumiko called Subaru to her office. Subaru thought he was being found out of coming here to investigate, but no.

Kumiko called him there to tell him that Kuniko was stabbed during class yesterday. Subaru was surprised, and...

Prepare yourself for another powerful scene in Tokyo Babylon.

He literally spilled the tea on the table and the teacher explained what actually happened to Subaru.

It was here that Subaru realized that her words are wrong. She told him that if Kuniko quitely endured the bullying, her friend wouldn't do such things to her. Her prayers aren't enough, and if it isn't enough, she wouldn't be able to become strong. One should be strong at heart and forgive everything. If one can't forgive a slight thing such us classmates' bullying, then she is weak.

She then told Subaru that she knew he had a power that differs him from normal people, and he was suffering from that power. She then told him to tell her his worries so he won't end up like Kuniko, and she wants to save him.

Subaru's response?

You can't save anyone.

He then asked her, "You aren't Hashimoto-san, but how come you can understand her heart!?"

He then asked her, "Where's the 'trivial part' about being bullied by classmates!? Why should we forgive classmates, who is the same age as us, but dared to punch and step on us!? How come you can understand a pain that you didn't experience yourself!?"

And his expression here? So beautiful.

He was saddened by the fact Kuniko's face is wounded. "A scar that wouldn't disappear from a girl's face. But you said that it's because her prayers aren't enough!?"

He then continued by, "You probably have a spiritual power which is stronger than normal people, but,"

"You, who doesn't understand someone else's pain but pretend to understand it, can't save anyone!"

Beautiful. Amazing. Talented.

Now, let's go to the most important question (😂).

Do I agree with Subaru's action? Yes. Do I agree with his belief? Pretty much yes but also confused

The thing is, I won't even question his belief IF I haven't read Crime chapter before this chapter. It's so funny because Subaru condemned someone wrong when he also doubted himself about similar matter a while ago.

While the two matters are clearly different, it revolved about the same theme: the meaning of saving someone to Subaru. In the Crime chapter, Subaru's mind was trying to save the mother from her own death caused by inugami. He believed that he should save the mother from finishing the curse, thus he lied about Mai's wish. He realized that he was wrong, and he even said it was for his own sake. In this chapter, Subaru condemned Kumiko for spitting nonsense about her belief of praying will save someone. He literally judged these two, despite the different situation, in the same way.

He judged them through his own belief.

Subaru has this belief of justice, that what he thought to be right and should be protected no matter what. This is why Seishiro told Hokuto if it's alright for him to poison someone with a strong sense of belief towards himself like Subaru, because, even Seishiro knew that Subaru's belief is stronger than anything else. Even more than his self-love.

While I also believed that Kumiko's words aren't right to address Kuniko's situation since she was hurt, and Subaru was right to be mad at her and told her that she spitted nonsense, I realized that he was that mad because in one side, he himself believed that Kuniko is hurting. If we go by Subaru's words, that no one can understand someone's pain as a whole, then why should he be mad at the teacher?

This is just the same as the Crime chapter; if he knew that telling a lie about the daughter's words is wrong, if his heart told him that it's wrong, why did he do that? Because it was the right thing to do at the moment, or simply, it's his belief that told him to lie.

It's pretty humanic. Subaru's portrayal in this scene is pretty human. It's common for us to lie when someone is seeking death, and it's common for us to be mad at someone who stepped on someone's effort to keep alive. We are shown here that Subaru is also the same like us, despite his abilities, which pretty interesting because this comes from someone with strong power.

And I believe that's what makes a certain triangle bastard amused and decided to come out at that moment.

What in the fuck are you doing here posing like a model next to the door, Sir. Subaru's "?" is so valid.

This one man literally came in, putting Subaru to sleep, and even told the teacher that he doesn't need to tell his name because she is going to die. He then said that through his investigation these past days, her spiritual power is true (if possible, can someone explain to me in which part her spiritual power is real??). Then Seishiro said since she built the cult 6 years ago, someone is confused. When Kumiko asked if he is confused, Seishiro said it isn't him and he isn't related to any cult. Then Kumiko asked "who is confused" and he replied with "Who is it?" in such a smirk lol.

(I innocently returned to Seisokan with Harukawa-kun, thinking that Hibiki-dono might be in the room but I didn't expect to find no one here...!)
