I finished Scarlet last night, so overall thoughts:
This might be the best Pokemon plot I've ever played? All the NPCs were great and I really liked changing the focus to individual story arcs rather than the usual single-villain-planning-a-genocide. Like yes, we still got a bit of the mad scientist at the end, but even that had a more humanizing touch, with the AI asking you for help to end what the scientist had started, and of course the scientist themself is connected to Arven's story. And the emotional conflict of Koraidon/Miraidon at the end rather than simply a high level pokemon battle! Great stuff, I love it. Also the music in the crater was A+, very eerie. I did kinda think that the Past/Future themes would play more of a part in the overall game, and am slightly disappointed that they didn't. Breeding is definitely easier! I was skeptical of removing the daycare but it is an improvement. The fact that you can just churn out eggs without worrying about filling up your party is really nice. I like the framing of the Academy, but there's just... no reason to go back there once you start the main quest(s). I kinda wish there had been a system like there was in Arceus where you "report" to the Professor to gain bonuses. Maybe do sidequests as part of the classes, and actually gain bonuses from attending them. Otherwise it's like... why set it at the school at all? I'm still not sold on Tera Powers (I refuse to use "Terastallization" it sounds ridiculous). I'm sure the competitive scene will do something interesting with them, but they just weren't immediately useful the way Dynamax was and seem like a definite downgrade. CONS: Glitches/graphics, obviously. I didn't have too much trouble with glitches, but it's embarassing for a company as big as Nintendo to put out a "finished" game like this. The graphics look ok when playing but screenshots show how bad the shapes/textures are, especially compared to Arceus or Sword/Shield. The most annoying graphic issue for me is the lag-- when I'm trying to scroll through my boxes or go shopping it takes a long time to load the images in and it's really inconvenient.
I find the sandwich minigame way too complicated and fiddly (why are there SO MANY different ingredients?! Why do I have to place them individually??), and the "eating" cutscene is horrible and creepy. The type bonuses are a nice idea but I wish they'd been better streamlined. You can "favorite" sandwiches, but then there's no menu to access just those favorites. It's a mess.
The towns are empty and splitting the shops up into individual items in an attempt to fill them out just makes shopping really annoying and inconvenient because I can't find where anything is. Being stuck in the stupid uniform is super annoying. Why does Penny get to wear her Eevee hoodie and I don't even get to put a jacket on over my stupid shirt? At least we got shorts/pants and I wasn't stuck in a skirt. The crafting of TMs is nice in theory, but I wish we could just buy them with LP instead. There are way too many different components you need to collect to make anything, and I don't like the way they don't tell you the components your missing if you haven't found them yet. Plus you have to spend LP to make them anyway, so why not just make them a purchased item?

I’ll get to those Magic Crafter Dragons I sweeeear But first, fun stuff from Discord. Dunno who made the original, it was just posted on a server, but yeet I did it anyway First of all, I don’t play a lot of games. I like games and the idea of them. I enjoy people playing stuff, I love watching others play. It’s that little sibling culture. But lemme toss a word or few about all of these. Though first of all, I only own 4 of the 8 games listed and even still I’ve only played 3 of them xD R.I.P. Pokemon Cafe Mix - The game is just Super Cute. Like oh my god Aesthetics! Adorable, every pokemon looks so nice and I just want to go to the cafe and taste everything and just chill. Please. It looks so cozy and relaxing. Gameplay is fairly simple too. Sometimes things seem a bit BS but in one way or another I’ll get through every stage etc. so it’s not too bad. Most of the time relaxing, can be addicting because of how simple things are. But really I love the game and I hope one day they’ll add more of the pokemon I like xD Buizel is my current favourite <3 It’d be nice seeing Mienshao or Mienfoo for one, maybe Glameow as it doesn’t get a lot of attention. We got Gogoat, but I wouldn’t mind a Sawsbuck or Deerling Pokemon Black 2 - To keep the Pokemon trend going, this is my fave out of the mainline games. I’ve been a fan ever since the first generation, I’m older than Gen 1 at that. But yeah, we did buy games but Nintendo stuff was too expensive and so I never really got to play those growing up. Black 2 was the first game I ever bought, for myself, with my own money. It was my first game and I loved it dearly. Still do and man I’d Love to replay it, but the curse of only 1 save file is cruel. I don’t want to restart my first ever save file. Currently I have no way of transferring anything over and I even have a Shiny Gothorita there (as underwhelming as it is, it was my first ever shiny). I love these games~~ Lots of different pokemon to choose from, great story, the fact that it’s a sequel is so freaking cool and unique I Love It So Much. Of course it’d be cool to have some extra things to do in it, like cleaning my badges, contests would be cool, I loved the mining stuff in Gen 4 when I got to try it on my friend’s Platinum save file as a kid. Speaking of, Gen 4 games would probably be my favourites, if I ever had the chance of owning and playing any fully. They have soooo much to do in them! Gen 5 is good and certainly up there in faves, but bruh, Gen 4 had all sorts of extra stuff, especially Platinum, and in HG/SS you had Pokemon following you like bruh that’s Crazy and I’d love to have that for a game I own, it’s like a dream Honorable mentions to Mystery Dungeon and Gen 6′s Pokemon Y for some grand memories. Firstly Pokemon Y, the second game I ever owned I think, great fun. I played that game for hooooooooours and it’s the only Pokemon Game that I’ve both played as a Nuzlocke and actually reset to play again. Also the first gen where I actually really got into competitive stuff, breeding for natures and stuff, and I’ve caught so many shinies in Y and Omega Ruby (mostly Y, OR has 1 shiny in Pidove, while Y has Ninetales, Pachirisu, Burmy, Gligar, and perhaps some other ones I caught/hatched myself). Mystery Dungeon games get a mention for having cool stories and I like the idea of the personality test and stuff. I’ve never played or owned any of these games, but I’ve watched Marriland play a handful of the games and currently am enjoying MDB playing through the first games in the series. Also a quick bloop on Colosseum being Cool as heck, and Battle Revolution gets a shoutout for looking so freaking good, having amazing music and making me search up videos with my favourite pokemon and just looking and watching hundreds of videos just because they looked so nice
Fire Emblem has to be the 2nd series of games I’ve gotten the most into. Although I’m a fairly new fan and my experiences and knowledge are limited, I do still enjoy the series and games - both old and new - a bunch. I only own Awakening, Conquest and 3 Houses, but I’ve again watched others play the past games a bunch, so I have some knowledge and memorable moments from those games too. Now I haven’t actually gotten myself to play 3 Houses yet, I’ve seen playthroughs of the game already and know the story etc. But yeh. Still, I’d say that I’ll probably like 3 Houses more than Awakening and Conquest. Awakening is nostalgia galore for me, but it does have its things with the story and characters and stuff. It’s nice, but I dunno, I just feel 3 Houses has an edge on it in some way. Maybe it’s just... Less controversial? Less Flame Wars? Maybe? Fates games, well, we all know the big glaring thing here. The story. And some of the characters suffer from this too. I kinda do wish that the Player had a biiiit more control in how the story went and played out, like I feel you definitely could have saved Scarlet in some way still, and all that. But eh, there’s enough stuff for me to go and prefer 3 Houses over it. And yes, I like choosing the members of my team and playing however I like, so giving me the ability to class my characters however I want is going to be a mistake as I’ll just make everyone a mounted unit and get destroyed but hey! Options :2 Variety :22 Great tiiiiimes~ Also it’s Blue Lions for me, Golden Deer Second Now for the games I don’t own. I chose Radiant Dawn because the Tellius games are just so good. I love the character in them, the story is pretty solid and the worldbuilding is cool too :2 I like both of the games, and while Path of Radiance is more coherent and doesn’t give split the characters up a bunch, Radiant Dawn has More of the great characters :2 Yes I know, not all of them are as fleshed out and thought out as the first game’s characters, but yo I still love them. I love a good continuation to a story. I love a ‘hey maybe it wasn’t as Black & White as we were made to believe’ twist. Also just hella good memories from watching BigKlingy play these games. The audience memed Aran to the final levels. We did it, he did so well, Aran deserved to be there xD Radiant Dawn also brings us Nailah, who is just. Yeah, you speak to me on so many levels, I’m easily readable. But also, woman, wolf, strong, yasss~~ Also I love the idea of the Jaegan character being a Thief/Assassin. That’s just so different and cool to me after all these Horse Units. And I’m the one guy who likes Levail and would love to see more of him. Give us more of Levail, the man who almost made it to being playable. Man. Levail is probably the one reason I’d pick Radiant Dawn over Path of Radiance xD The other game I’ve watched BigKlingy play through (and that’s my only experience on that game) is Sacred Stones. Pretty solid game all in all. Story, characters, but speaking of that story, if you really think about it, it’s Hella Dark, and that’s actually kinda cool in a way. I’m not that into dark stories, but here it worked. Also watched PhoenixMaster1′s playthrough on the Echoes game. I do like the game, if i find it one day I Might buy it but I’m not like in a hurry to get it. It was cool though, different for reasons but hey~ Also, Berkut, yes. I’m one of those people who like this angry man. But come on, he was really good xD Spyro I’ve already talked about in my lengthy little thing that I’ll get to continuing eventually xD But yes, I freaking love Spyro, my childhood, still very enjoyable experience full of great memories Metroid Fusion - Oh boy here come the nostalgia~ I’ve actually never played any Metroid games myself. I got introduced to the series in the early 2010s through youtube videos. I’m fairly sure it was me looking through dozens and dozens of Top 10 videos, several of which were on ‘the scariest bosses’, either unexpectedly scary or something else. But guess what, Nightmare from Fusion was in there, and I Think the person in the video said something on not wanting to even show the final forms of Nightmare’s face because it was that horrifying to them. And honestly? The fact that they didn’t show how bad it got, mixed with my morbid curiosity and woop, here I go~ Down the Metroid rabbithole where I watched a lot of videos on people fighting Nightmare and the other bosses in the game, eventually going into watching full run-throughs of the game and enjoying my time. Game looked pretty good, soundtrack was really nice too. And so I ended up on listening to a lot of the game series’ music and getting more familiar with the other games and the lore too. Learning to know that Samus was a lady was also hella badass. Fusion started it all for me, and while Super Metroid is cool, people also just play it a loooot, especially the Speedrunners, there’s also plenty of hacks based on that game and yeah I get it the game is Good, but that makes Fusion all the more special to me~ Devil May Cry 3 - Ok so again, I’ve not played any DMC games myself. This one again though is nostalgia ocean for me~ 2010 or such, I’m on some forum, said forum has a forum game based around songs or such and someone links one from this game. I Think it was the Doppelganger battle theme, or then I just found that one and listened to it for hours among the other battle themes these games have because they’re soooo gooood~~ DMC 4 was fairly new at that time, but I remember Gredo’s and Agnus’ themes being up there in songs I listened to a lot too. My experiences and stuff on this series was fully based on the songs, images on said songs, bits and pieces of the cutscenes of these games I saw and comments I read. I didn’t get too deep into DMC back then though, but I did have a bit of knowledge here and there, even if my idea of the stories in all the games was, well, I wouldn’t call it warped, but I definitely had imagined the story going differently to how things actually went xD Still, as a few years back I returned to DMC out of that feeling of nostalgia, and discovered DMC 5 had Just been released, boi, I was In. And I watched through cutscene compilations, playthoughs and what have you on all the games (Except for DmC, boot to you ReBoot), and it was quite the hype time~ I enjoy the chracters, the story that there is around them, and just how carefree and fun stuff can be. The party sure did get crazy~ Lost Dimension - The last game I have on the list there. This might be a weird one and I get that yeah. How many have even heard of this game? I sure wouldn’t have ever known of it without BigKlingy’s playthrough of it. But that playthrough was full of memories, I should really rewatch it one day~ I may not remember an awful lot about the game, but I do keep coming back to it in one way or another. I liked the character designs, the fact that all of them were unique and had their own abilities, there was a bit of story around all of them, the traitor system had you thinking & made each run a little different... That’s some Cool Stuff! The game might be a bit obscure and seriously not known at all, but for what it was, it was great and I enjoyed it a bunch! And now for stuff that wasn’t on the list but I kinda still want to mention. Because why not~ IB - This Almost made it onto the list, but I felt a little closer of a connection to the other games on it. But IB is one of those games from the early 2010s that I also got introduced to through the wonderful world of Youtube. I have forgotten the name of the person whose playthrough in the game I watched. But I watched a ton of people play this game. It was just. So cool. The puzzles in this game were nice and the fact I myself could solve and understand them too was pretty nice to me, and for some reason I just enjoyed watching other people react to the game and try solving stuff. It also had a couple different endings so watching and seeing what the other people got was also interesting. Great memories~ Witch’s House / Ao Oni / Mad Father - And all sorts of other horror games that kinda fall under this grouping and style and stuff. Yeah, IB kinda opened a bit of a thing for me as I realized I greatly enjoyed the horror games with puzzle elements to themselves + a bit of story here and there. There’s definitely much much more than these 3, I watched soooo many of these games being played by others. Ao Oni I may have discovered through my Hetalia phase though, HetaOni, if any of you still recognize that name. Daym. Although at first I didn’t want to watch HetaOni because of the portraits. Pfffff I thought the person who made them was being mean to some of the characters, but nah, I’d later learn that those were simply just mimicing the ones from the original game. But yeah, Ao Oni had a dozen variants and things inspired by it so those kept me busy for a whiiiiiile Hades - Now here’s a cool recent game! Again, haven’t played it, but it looks cool. The story is nice, character designs are God Like (hehe), soundtrack is super cool, aesthetics and oh my god everything is voice acted oh my gooood. This game is just. So cool. And the team who did it seems really cool too and are seemingly full of nice amazing people. This is definitely some great example work on how things should be done :2 Definitely something to look up to, I love everything about them~ The only reason Hades isn’t up there is because of its recentness and my brain not managing to think of it somehow even as I struggled to come up with stuff (I was mostly trying to think of stuff I had played, so that’s one thing. I even struggled to remember DMC because my current hyperfixations are elsewhere and that’s freaking Wild considering how much I enjoy DMC) But yeah, Hades is Super Freaking Cool Crash Bandicoot - These games I did play as a kid actually, the 1st one was way too hard and the 3rd one was my favourite. I like Crash, these games were nice too and I have plenty of good memories with the game, just not enough to make it up there on my list. Yeah it sounds stupid that I’d take out a game I actually played and replace it with stuff that I didn’t, but... Hey, my list Minecraft - Watched several videos on other people pllaying this game, I know of it, I respect it, but I’ve never played it myself and stuff. It’s cool but didn’t make it on the list Animal Crossing - Riiiiiight, these games seem adorable and I wouldn’t mind owning an AC game one day. I’d probably reset continuously though to get Skye in my town/village/island, she’s my favourite xD If the recent game had cost lest I might have gotten it. 60-70€ is just, a lot of money Persona - I guess I’ll mention these too. My experiences are through Bigklingy’s videos again. 3 is a fave, 4 seems cool, 5 I don’t know a lot about but it seems nice too. I probably wouldn’t be able to play these games myself, since some fights kinda need certain things and strategies and you can’t really just pick whatever and whom ever and roll through with brute strength. I mean, I Guess you could, but that might not be as fun in the long run? Who knows, but it’s not exactly like Pokemon or Fire Emblem in those regards you know The big conclusion is that I like all sorts of different aesthetic looks, mostly probably natural with some brighter colors in it. Stories are good, I love stories! Good characters with nice designs and backstories are really nice too. Things being thought out and built nicely is great you know? A little bit of strategy, fantasy here and there. Nothing too dark and gloomy or ‘hyper realistic’ or what have you. I guess no first person shooters either, though combat is fine. Games where I can pick and choose what to use and what kinds of ‘teams’ I build and the ‘members’ I use in them is nice. I do love watching others play, but with games like Pokemon & Fire Emblem I have that drive of choosing who to use and having my own unique experience kinda gets me to buy the games.

Survey #332
i’m even more tired than before to try and think up song lyrics, i’m pasting from Word and then fucking off to bed lmao.
What was the last video message you received on your phone? I think it was a clip of Doris (Sara's beardie) eating and just being her perfect self? Was your last birthday cake homemade or store bought? Store-bought. One thing you miss about middle school? Shit, nothing. Middle school was the worst. Do you have any shirts signed by famous people? No. Have you ever entered an art competition? Yes. Would you ever pierce yourself? No. I am very much about having a professional do your body mods/art. Plus, I have tremors in my hands. Do you live in a safe neighbourhood? Supposedly. We haven't lived here nearly long enough to know. What is the last thing you did that shocked someone? /shrug Do you often find yourself questioning your future? Only always. Have you ever been for a ride in the back of a truck? Yeah. Do you like your license photo? I hate my permit picture. Are you into superheroes? Who’s your favorite? Not very, but I like 'em enough. I always say my favorite is Deadpool, but I know he's technically an anti-hero, but whatever. If you don't include him, uhhhh... maybe Spiderman. Have you started watching any new TV shows recently? No. Have you ever been able pet a normally wild animal, like a tiger or dolphin? No. :( At least, not to my recollection. Have you ever eaten snow? Yeah. There's actually a winter treat 'round here that you make with snow and sugar called snow cream. Good stuff. What is the messiest area in your home? Right now, the spare room/my wanna-be "office." What’s your favorite computer game genre? Still horror, like video games. Do you have any exes your parents never liked? No. Have you received financial help from your parents in the past 5 years? I'm completely financially dependent on them still. Are you a fast or a slow eater? I eat like, stupid fast, but without being messy. People *cough*Mom*cough* will absolutely point it out, but I seriously can't help it. Making a conscious effort to eat slow feels way too weird. What was the last thing you purchased from a small local business? I don't know. Is there anyone in your family/household whom you frequently argue with? No. Have you ever used chewing tobacco? Ew, no. Tell me what's on your mind? I've been considering yet again reaching out to some tattoo parlors and asking if they're open to hiring someone to handle the front desk and take care of business besides actually performing piercing and tattooing, given my tremors. My group therapy has kinda been encouraging me to use the possibility for social exposure, and besides, I'm very comfortable in the environment and just general aura of tat parlors. I'm sure I'd have to answer the phone, handle money, and obviously talk to costumers, but I know and accept that. I've been at such a stagnant point with my social anxiety in particular that I have to start pushing back harder, and doing this I feel would be one of the most relaxed, social job positions I can hopefully handle. I don't dare to even try this though until I get vaccinated to protect my immunocompromised mom. Writing this all out has actually been pretty encouraging about this idea... Do you wish you never dated someone you dated? Yeah, Tyler. It was such a "I'm lonely and he was nice in high school, so we'll try it" situation. I got nothing from it. Are you scared of growing old alone? Pretty badly. What are you listening to right now? I'm listening to/semi-watching John Wolfe play the remaster of Resident Evil 2. What breed was the last dog you saw? He was a German shepherd. Would you ever go swimming during a thunderstorm? No. Any time a thunderstorm was brewing and I was in the pool, I'd always get out. What is the next concert you will attend? Mom and I plan to see Ozzy when/if he reschedules his tour after he had to cancel with his Parkinson's diagnosis. What was the name of the last pet of yours that died? Teddy. :/ What's the highest science class you have taken? I don't know, actually. What makes you squeal like a school girl? No shame, seeing Mark and Amy do something cute together actually does this, lmao. What’s your favorite symbol? (i.e. the pentagram, the cross, etc.) Do fictional ones count? Because in that case, the Halo of the Sun from the Silent Hill franchise. I'm getting it tattooed somewhere at some point, I'm thinking the left side of my neck. I'm either gonna fashion it in a way where it looks branded on or carved into me. Have you ever been on anti depressants? For all of my pre-teen, teen, and some of my adult life. Apparently, I've only had one truly educated psychiatrist out of no less than a dozen I'd seen, because he fixed me right up. He taught me that those who suffer from bipolarity should avoid anti-depressants; they ramp up your bipolar symptoms. Instead, mood stabilizers are favorable. And what do you know, after I was prescribed a stabilizer and a catalyst for that medication, my depression decreased dramatically and became handleable. Have you ever starved yourself? Kinda. What’s the stupidest name you’ve ever given a pet? I had a guinea pig named Harry Potter. For no particular reason lmao. I'm not even a Harry Potter fan. Do you have nice legs? God no. Do you like fedoras? Okay so I know I am in the strong minority, but I actually do, haha. What is your favorite food group? Carbs. @_@ Have you ever got told that you should be a model? No, but one of the most flattering indirect compliments I've ever gotten was being mistaken for one. Jason's phone wallpaper was one of my favorite pictures of myself with my first snake, and someone asked him if I was a model. ;v;' What song is in a language you don’t speak, but you love it anyway? "Donaukinder" by Rammstein is one of my faves. Who’s a villain you sympathize with and why? SOBS Darkiplier bc his origins are so damn tragic and unfair. What book do you think should be directed as a film? Was The Giver ever made into one? I don't remember that book well, but I do recall it being absolutely beautiful. Have you ever found a stranger’s note somewhere? If so, what did it say? No. Have you ever edited Wikipedia? No. Have you ever edited any other wiki? Yeah. I have thousands on the Silent Hill wiki, where I'm one of the admins. I'm also a content moderator at the Team Ico (Shadow of the Colossus devs) one. Every now and again I used to go on the meerkats wiki as well, where I mainly fixed the fucking nightmarish grammar. Very briefly, I edited at the Dragons of Atlantis wiki as well. Do you get scared when you know some virus or sickness is being passed? Not very, but of course I still acknowledge the risk and am more conscious of hand washing and stuff. What popular social media platforms AREN’T you on? Snapchat, I don't actually use my Twitter, I don't have a personal Instagram... There may be more, idk. Is TikTok a "social media platform?" Because I don't have that, either. What was the name of the first porcelien doll you got? Never had one, given I was afraid of dolls as a kid. What’s your favorite Paramore song? "Decode." Would you be happy with a life without romance? To be entirely honest, I'd feel like I was missing something. Was your childhood happy? Mostly. What fundamentally matters do you? Love, kindness, peace, all that gooey stuff. Is true world peace ever possible? As much as I hate to admit it, I don't think so. The human population is far too big to come to a unanimous agreement on anything. Do you hold yourself to higher standards than you hold others? Yeah. Would you ever own a pet black widow spider? No. I'm getting more into the idea of owning invertebrates (I jabber enough about wanting tarantulas, and there are others, like mantises, I'm interested in as pets), but black widows, I'm not into the idea of having. Too venomous for me to be comfortable risking. If you have a job, what is the longest shift that you've worked? N/A Do you know all of the words to "Bohemian Rhapsody?" FUCK YES I DO. ^ Do you sing it with all of the different voices? sho nuff Do you own more than one copy of a certain book? No. Do you like interpreting poetry or just reading it for fun? Both. I love symbolism, so I get joy out of digging for subtle meanings in poems. Do you have a favorite Dr. Suess book? Yeah, it was always Green Eggs and Ham. Do you watch The Walking Dead? If so, favorite character? Not the show, but I've watched let's plays of the games, haha. In which case Clementine is inarguably one of the best female characters in a video game universe. Who has/had the most mature romantic relationship you’ve seen with your own eyes? Uhhh. I mean I never saw them much, but probably my late grandmother and her last husband. He was fucking incredible to her, and Grammy adored him as well. They helped each other so much and just obviously had the purest love between them. When was the last time you got something for free (legally)? What was it & have you enjoyed it so far? Lmao do balls in Pokemon GO count? Their occasional free boxes are the reason I can play the game because PokeStops are essentially non-existent here, so yes. What is the one fruit you can’t stand to eat? How about vegetable? The first one that came to me were oranges. I enjoy orange juice, but I just caaaaannot with the white veiny shit that you can't totally get off when peeling it. Without that, I might actually enjoy them, but idk. As for vegetable, asparagus is absolutely abhorrent. When’s the last time you actually recited the pledge? If you aren’t American, do/did you have anything similar in your country that you do during a time at school? Probably not since high school. Last person you shared food with? Ummm I have no idea. It's really just Mom and me here and we eat our own stuff. What was the last song you heard for the first time and enjoyed? I believe it waaas... "Down In The Park" by Marilyn Manson, maybe. If your life was a TV show, what would be the theme song? My inner high school emo just screamed "All Signs Point to Lauderdale" by AD2R. Who are some of your favorite female fictional characters, and why? Gahdamn, there's a lot. I don't feel like going through a mental list in my head and then describing why. A character (in anything) you wish hadn’t been killed off? Vol'jin; I think the entire WoW fanbase will forever be pissed about it. It was THE most "lul we dunno what 2 do w/ him anymore, let's let a totally random, unnamed, unimportant demon kill him" like what the fuck, Blizz. Most of his "oomph" was in the book, and I just really wish they'd done so much more with him in the game. Has anything “cute” happened in the past week? Off the top of me noggin, no. When did you last say “I love you”? Did you mean it? Yesterday to Sara. OF course I did. Is there someone who pops into your mind at random times? Hi, PTSD, how are ya. Have you ever slept all day? Essentially. When I was on a larger dose of my anxiety med, I physically couldn't stay up for barely even five minutes, and when I'd lie back down, boom, I was OUT. I stayed on that dosage for I think just that one day, it was so bad. Can you have kids? Well, I have a functioning menstrual cycle, so I would assume so. Doesn't mean I will, though. What colors of mascara have you worn on your lashes? Only black. Do you like eating sour things? Hell yeah, I love sour stuff, candy in particular. Do you like pickles? fuuuuck yeah Did you ever have a really close friend move away? Yeah, in elementary school. I feel bad I can't remember her name at the moment... What's the most creative thing you've ever done? I mean, I guess the things I've written in RP. What's the most creative thing someone has done for you? For me? I don't really know. Do you like to watch ghost-hunting shows? Sure, they're some of my favorites. What’s something you’d like to be better at? Social interaction. Have you ever stayed up to talk to someone who was sad? Yeah. Do you think you would make a good parent? No. I know I wouldn't. The only time I ever wanted kids was with Jason, and honestly, I really hope I don't end up with a man because I never want to deal with that urge again and make a mistake. I'm just in no way emotionally fit to be a mother. How many best friends do you have? Just one. What do you cry over the most? My PTSD, honestly. I never sob about it anymore, just shed some tears. What language did/do you take in high school? Latin for one semester, then all four available for German. Which sports do you follow? None. Who was the last person you talked about marriage or having kids with? About marriage, Sara. Kids, the subject was lightly touched upon with Girt, though "with" was never a part of it, but obviously implied seeing as we were dating with long-term in mind. Have you ever been in a house fire? No, thankfully. Have you ever made out for one straight hour? them is rookie numbers Are you any good at remembering phone numbers? No. I literally don't even know my own, nor my mother's. I need to fix that. Who is your best friend of the opposite sex? Girt. Do you have a bookshelf? If so, just one or how many? No. If I gave you twenty bucks what would you do with it? Save it to go towards Venus' terrarium. Is there a movie from your childhood that you still watch today? Well of course! I'm unashamed to watch any "kids" movie I enjoy, like Disney ones. Most "kids" movies tend to be better than those intended for adults, it seems... Are you afraid of mice? Oh no, I adore mice and I think had a pair as pets before I got rats. What type of souvenir do you usually purchase when on vacation? I can't really answer this; I haven't gone on nearly enough vacations to develop a theme. I can say confidently though it'd probably be something small. If you could see any musical on Broadway right now, what would it be? I don't enjoy musicals. Have you ever watched Doctor Who? One or two with Sara, yes. I know we at least watched the weeping angels episode. If you read, which book or series did you enjoy most as a child? Warriors by S.E. Hinton. Sometimes I wanna get back into them, but I am YEARS behind and more into Wings of Fire anyway, so. I don't read nearly enough for both. How do you get rid of your hiccups? Literally no trick seems to work for me. I just suffer lmao.

Submission: @min-haven-pokemon-sanctuary
Yo, you online? Ive had another pokemon arrive at the sanctuary that doesn’t appear in my ID equipment and I wasn’t able to recognize, and I reeeeally don’t feel like doing a bunch of research right now to try an ID them myself (or potentially make more problems for myself with asking internet weirdo’s for help).
Now so far, most of the pokemon that don’t show up in my old pc identification stuff are from places further from the kanto/jhoto area like Galar or Alola (like cutiefly, dracovish, and cramorant didn’t show up on the screen when they arrived at the sanctuary) Thanks to this stuff being like, at least 15 years old second hand gear barely refurbished from places like pokemon centers. (Basically one of those government recycling kind of programs where instead of tossing out the old gear they instead donate it to smaller pokemon hospitals, parks, sanctuaries and the like for free)
And you probably recognize that old nerd joke about how “almost all modern pokemon technology are influenced by proximity to the house of some guy named Bill” So apparently the older the stuff is, the closer the focus is on kanto or whatever.
You probably get my point. Anyway I figured you’d be able to ID them, so I snapped a picture of them here below.
Tumblr media
They like holding hands. (So hopefully not poisonous, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take for this much of a sweetiepie)
Now they’re blue and moist, so I figure they’re probably a water type. So main things Ive got to know is the average height of the species (the sanctuary is specifically for small for their kind pokemon, we can’t take regular or larger than average ones) and if they’re saltwater pokemon or not. (We’re too far inland for housing salt water pokemon comfortably, and I’d have to contact some of the seaside reserves for a transfer)
Unless they’re another shiny or something like that sent here by one of Gordon’s fans from his male modeling days to try and “impress him” or something dumb like that, and aren’t supposed to be blue normally (the message sent with them did imply they were trying to get Gordons attention… ugh, so I’m hoping this isn’t another situation like that shiny pachurisu from awhile back). In which case I’d need more of a rundown about what kind of pokemon they are.
____________________
Hey uhm, I’m curious: how do you lot keep aquiring rare pokémon like this? Like Old Dude was one thing but... well, hold on, alright I should explain first.
That is a Phione, also called the Sea Drifter pokémon. Phione are native to Sinnoh, which explains why your database didn’t have them logged. You guessed right, they are water-type and according to academic sources, they average at around 1′04″ in height and roughly 6.8lbs. They’re usually found in the sea, specifically in warm waters. It’s very common for them to migrate far from home, as they follow the summer weather. They are very sensitive to their enviornment too so they detect those subtle changes in the water very quickly and easily. Otherwise, they have a reputation for being very social and amicable pokémon, even towards humans.
So the reason I’m asking how you (or whoever gave them to you) came by them is because Phione are extremely rare in the wild. As in mythical-class levels of rare (though it’s currently under dispute.)
That’s not to say that it’s impossible, there have been a handful of breeing programs set up for them in Sinnoh, but they are under very specific conservation protections. The protections themselves mostly comprise of tracking their migration patterns and evolution rates but also it also includes a strict no-catch policy. This is a pretty big program too. Because Phione and it’s evolved form Manaphy, drift so far, they can turn up anywhere, even here in Galar. As such, all our coastal towns are aware of these specific Phione and Manaphy and their research facilities keep an eye on them.
It’s worth looking into where this little guy came from - the Sinnoh Marine Biology Institute might be looking for them. I’d consider reaching out to them. Also, and I don’t want to speculate too much here, but it’s possible that there may be some underground breeding of Phione going on here. They’ve attracted that kind of attention in the past and it’s important that you get made aware of any health issues. Given their sensitivity, the SMBI avoid taking Phione from people, unless it’s necessary, so I reckon they would be willing to determine how suitable the sanctuary would be for Phione.
That’s all I have on Phione at the moment. Feel free to follow-up when you know more. Getting to hear about such a rare pokémon is pretty exciting.

What song are you listening to right now? I’m not listening to anything but the last song I played was Violet by Daniel Caesar; I don’t actually know the song but it was part of a playlist on Spotify. Admit it -- you want a Snuggie. What design/color? I don’t even know what that is, but if it came in pink I’d want one. Do you prefer movies at home or movies at the theatre? Home is cozier and costs much less, haha. How many songs does your iTunes have? Ooh, I haven’t used my iTunes in like half a decade buuuut I think it peaked with around 400-500 songs? Idk, I didn’t explore much as a kid and I liked to stick with my favorite singers/bands. Do you take a shower in the morning or the night before? When I’m off school I like to shower at night - much more comfy that way, and I fall asleep faster. But when I have to leave the house whether to go to school, the mall, to crash at someone’s place, etc. I always bathe a few hours before. Always. I hateeeeee not feeling fresh when I go outside.
What's your academic niche? (History, math, science, etc.) History for sure, but there are some science topics I’m also okay in. Who's your youngest teacher? They’re all already pretty seasoned lol I can’t actually tell. I think it’s Ma’am Cai; welp, at least among my current professors, she’s the one that acts the youngest. Have you ever had the samples people offer you at Costco? I’ve never been in a Costco but I typically don’t get samples from our local groceries because idk, they just look nasty :/ The only samples I get are the free ones they hand over at Starbucks and Coffee Bean, haha. If you had to name your kid after a food, what would his/her name be? I’d take olives and turn it to Olivia, which was always my choice for a girl anyway. But if it really had to be food-inspired I’d go with... Brie for a girl, or Sage for a boy. Miley Cyrus: Inspirational role model or a ho? Get with the times, 2009 survey. This question won’t get away with that word today. Anyway, Miley is a badass. I never changed my mind about her, maybe except for that time she did that performance with Robin Thicke. Are you stressed about anything? Right now no. I’m on a six-week break, I wanna enjoy it without thinking about the stuff that would typically stress me out. When's the last time you had a rock, paper, scissors match? It’s been a few months. What's your favorite anime? I don’t watch anime... the only show I got into was Pokemon. Did you cry when Ash let his Butterfree go with the other Butterfrees? I vaguely remember that but I probably got sad over it when I was younger. Don't you hate it when Facebook auto-corrects your smiley faces and hearts? I don’t mind it. Skinny, flared, ripped, or faded jeans? Ugh I hate all of these. I have a lot of skinny jeans in my closet but they’re always a last resort - my go-to these days is mom jeans. What are you excited for? Meh, nothing in particular. I wanna say my birthday? but who knows what the world is gonna come to be by then. Are you part of the Farmville cult? No I never played. I wasn’t allowed to make a Facebook account at the time when games like that and Petville and Plants vs. Zombies were big. What were you for Halloween? Last year I went as Dora. AND IT WAS SO ANNOYING because the party we were invited to prohibited shorts??? And 1) Dora wore shorts and 2) I searched far and wide for a pair of orange shorts? It was the first time I heard of a dress code that strict for a college party lmao I couldn’t believe it. Thankfully Rita had just bought a pair of orange jeans so she let me borrow those. Have you ever had braces? Back in high school. What year of high school are you in? I am not. What's your favorite flower? Peonies. Would you ever bleach your hair? Probably not. My hair has faced enough damage. Have you ever stood on a frozen solid body of water? No. That sounds scary though. I’ve heard and watched people fall through ice :/ Would you ever take up smoking or drinking? I’m already doing both. Thanks, college and peer pressure! Do those girls with 1,000 friends on Facebook REALLY have that many? I dunno, who knows? It’s always possible. I have a bigger problem with the fact that this question just singled out girls lmao. What holiday is your birthday closest to? Uhh Earth Hour, if it counts? If not, we have Araw ng Kagitingan on April 9 which commemorates the Fall of Bataan during WWII. Are you cyberdyslexic? Is this even a thing? I’ve never heard of this until today. Are you regular dyslexic? No. Is there irregular dyslexia? :((( What would your name be if you were a boy? I don’t know. My parents didn’t think about this either I think. Which person from way back when would you love to hang out with? My great grandpa. Either him or his cousin who wrote a book on history. What color are your eyes? Dark brownnnnnnn ugh this will FOREVER be in surveys won’t it. The forever on-going question: Is Twilight stupid or actually brilliant? It’s so stupid. BUT I LOVE IT ok.  Did you carve pumpkins for Halloween this year? No. We don’t do that here. Does your family use a real pine tree or a plastic one for Christmas? I think most households here use artificial trees. I was already a little old when I found out other countries would use real trees. Do you know anyone with a play-on name? (Chris P. Bacon, Justin Case, etc.) Not personally but super recently someone named their kid COVID BRYANT and it was all over social media for a few days. Covid Bryant. Let that shit sink in. Only Filipinos, man. Do you have any foreign exchange students at your school? Yeah, mostly Koreans and Japanese people. If you had a week to live, what would you do? I don’t have much of a choice, do I... I’m gonna be stuck at home and do the stuff I’ve already been doing in the last three weeks, and just hope I had fun.
Are you good at brain teasers? Some, but I don’t enjoy doing them in general. Is your handwriting nice? I can handle a pen pretty well, if I do say so myself. I have a neater penmanship than most people I know. What's your second language? English.  Is it uncomfortable for you to take showers in glass stalls w/out curtains? Not really but the door has to be locked. Finish the sentence: Remember, remember... The fifth of November? I dunno why I know about that though. Did you understand Shakespeare? No. I always bought the No Fear Shakespeare editions cos I had absolutely no patience to try and understand the original text. What do you want to be when you're older? Rich. What's your favorite dog breed? Golden retriever or pitbull. Are you one of those people who take like, 50 Facebook quizzes at a time? I’ve never taken a Facebook quiz. What was the last shot you got? It was at the roof of my mouth, back when I had a tooth extraction. Ever gotten cavities? A few times. Can you differentiate between the words "your" and "you're?" Yes. Do you use hair ties as bracelets? Lmao always. Don’t most girls do this? What was the last school project you did that you couldn't wait to turn in? My book report for my business journalism class. After I proofread it like 6 times and triple-checked the word count, I couldn’t waitttt to get rid of it. Have you ever graded papers? Sure. I’ve said it in past surveys, but my org hosts journalism workshops to interested schools, whether they’re in elementary, high school, or college. At the end of the day they have to come up with their own articles, and then we check each of them, correct the mistakes, grade them, and give it back to them with our comments. What was your favorite year of school up to this point? Third year of high school. I don’t really have a favorite year of college... I had lows in each of them. What's the latest you've ever woken up? 11 AM. Can you recite the alphabet backwards? For a time I did cos Angela taught me. Then I just never sang it again so I ended up forgetting. If you could master one language in thirty minutes, what would it be? Korean. Are you a sucker for foreign accents? No. Sometimes I find it hard to understand. Where were you born? Is it the same place you live currently? I was born somewhere in Manila, and I live faaar away from there now. How often do you remember your dreams? What did you last dream about? Only if I note them down on my phone. The last dream I remember having was too lengthy for me to want to type it all down, but it involved me and Gabie being exes, and she had her own kid hahaha. When did you learn the ninja turtles were named after Renaissance artists? Pretty early, I guess. I’ve never seen the show though. Do you do yoga? Nope.

Pokemon Shield playthrough - Part 5
Back again with another post! This one covers Route 5 and the Water Gym.
Tumblr media
Just as I start down the route, I encounter the Cameraman/Reporter duo, who are a classic trainer pair from past games. Given that all the Gym Challenge stuff is a big spectacle in the Galar region, it makes perfect sense that Gym Challengers would get interviewed along the way.
Tumblr media
This horde of Minccino chased after me. It was adorable.
Tumblr media
I discovered the Pokemon breeding-grounds - or at least, the artificial version of it. This is not the same as the old “Day-Care” that could also level up Pokemon. The Nursery is solely for eggs, while Levelling up can be done with PokeJobs and the experience candies.
Tumblr media
The people here are really nice - they gave me a free rare Pokemon!
Tumblr media
It’s like a baby dinosaur! I believe this is also the first Poison-Electric combo we’ve had.
Tumblr media
Since I don’t want to have duplicate types, I remove Yamper from the team. I prefer dual-types, plus this purple dinosaur looks cooler. Okay, so he starts at Level 1, and he’s pretty frail, but I can be patient.
Tumblr media
Leaving the Nursery behind, I encounter another traditional trainer class - the Chef. He sends out food to attack me.
Tumblr media
I also find a wild Wobbuffet - and promptly realize just how horrible its catch rate is.
Tumblr media
I wasted every last Poke Ball on this fiend. At least he gave decent experience when I knocked his lights out.
Tumblr media
I consoled myself by catching the weird apple creature for myself. Here’s another unique type combo - Grass and Dragon (wait, does Mega Sceptile have that typing?) It only knows a defense-raising move and the incredibly-weak Astonish, and has horrible stats all around. I’m sure it will evolve into something great, if I can figure it out. (btw, is it weird that Galar has both apples /and/ “Leppa” berries?)
Tumblr media
I decided that my psychic-bug-cocoon wasn’t doing enough for me, so it got booted off the team.
Tumblr media
I also got a second try at Wobbuffet ;)
Tumblr media
This guy has a nice camping spot for himself. He never leaves. Maybe he ran away from home?
Tumblr media
Seeing a pink puffball and an apple fight over a toy is too cute for words.
Tumblr media
My coworker also has this game, and was kind enough to trade over this incredibly-high level Wingull. Not that I really plan to use it, but it /does/ have Pokerus. You’d think by now the nurses and professors of the Pokemon world would have learned to harness the power of Pokerus and turn it into a mandatory booster shot.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back on track, these silly Team Yell people are blocking the bridge forward.
Tumblr media
I get to see what my Dark-type fox /could/ have evolved into, if it were still on my team :( It looks like a proper gentleman-thief.
Tumblr media
I love Pokemon - you save someone from getting their precious possession stolen, and as thanks, they give you their precious possession.
Tumblr media
Too bad the outfit for it is so garish.
Tumblr media
The blue color is a little better though.
Tumblr media
Now that I have a bike, I can go into the Wild Area and try the Rotom Rally mini-game. It’s basically a time trial as you travel between different regions of the Wild Area. It looks like you can’t get attacked by wild Pokemon while in this Rally mode, so it’s probably the quickest way to get around (minus the flying taxi, of course).
Tumblr media
These guys can also upgrade your bike a bit, but it’s expensive. And they don’t have the ride-on-water option either.
Tumblr media
You know, Serebii.net says that Bunnelby doesn’t evolve until Level 20. This is an illegal Diggersby here!
Tumblr media
Okay. Back on the bridge. Riding is so much faster than walking, but I keep stopping anyway to grab hidden items and look at the scenery. You can see the Dragon city in the background.
Tumblr media
Another fight with my rival on the bridge. His Scorbunny has evolved, but it’s still not too tough.
Tumblr media
In this place, Eldegoss literally float by on the wind.
Tumblr media
Here’s the tunnel that ducks under the train tracks. What could be on the other side?
Tumblr media
That can wait! First, I gotta get my Pokemon sent out on more jobs. I love this logo that’s a blatant KFC rip-off.
Tumblr media
Oh, I also discovered that you can, in fact, change the wallpaper of PC boxes. All of the choices are pretty boring, though.
Tumblr media
Also, my coworker invited me on a raid battle with a 5-star Ditto. I have a bad feeling about this...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Scorbunny’s final form is so majestic.
Tumblr media
None of the previous raid battles I fought had “barriers”! Is that something that only shows up in multiplayer raids?
Tumblr media
This is it. We’ve weakened it, and now I have the chance to obtain this rare, useful, iconic Pokemon for myself...
Tumblr media
Yeah, I failed the capture. I didn’t know they could fail. At least I got some good loot.
Tumblr media
FINALLY, I make it to the seaside town of Hulbury. I wonder which British coastal town this is based on? For being the main port of the region, it’s not really all that big.
Tumblr media
We encounter Chairman Rose and some of his “admirers”.
Tumblr media
We also learn a little more about the relationship between Rose and Bede. Apparently Bede really wants to impress the Chairman, so maybe he’s not so much “working for him” as trying to gain his favor.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know, I really don’t think he pulls off that outfit. What is it even - a mix of baseball uniform and swim trunks?
Tumblr media
Oleana thinks she can boss me around.
Tumblr media
I don’t owe you anything, silly person! This is /my/ Pokemon journey. And I’ll take as long as I want. ^.^
Tumblr media
Sigh...Why can’t I just throw my coal monster at these goons to get past? My character is way too nice.
Tumblr media
Oh, here’s another look at that elephant Pokemon that the Chairman had. It looks like it’s wearing a little hat.
Also, please be more creative when naming locations.
Tumblr media
Here’s the “bustling market” I was told about? Must be a slow day.
Tumblr media
We’ve got the stock “bitter medicine” booth (I never use these)...
Tumblr media
Ah! Here’s something useful. You can bet I will use this item to maximize my earnings from every battle. I haven't seen an option to re-battle trainers yet, and those cool outfits won’t buy themselves.
Tumblr media
I trade away for a Cottonee. You know, why don’t people in real life just trade pets with each other whenever they feel like it?
Tumblr media
Pokemon, Pokemon...People already say your recent games are too easy, and now you’re giving me a free held item that’s super-effective against the current Gym? (Yet another sign that you should ignore Oleana and /not/ go straight to the Gym upon arrival.)
Tumblr media
If nothing else, Hulbury is scenic. I bet the dock is covered with Wingull droppings though.
Tumblr media
These people obviously don’t get the point of Pokemon.
Tumblr media
With the hills overlooking the sea, I’m reminded of Los Angeles - or was it San Francisco? It’s probably a lot colder in Hulbury though.
Tumblr media
Here’s the train station at the top of the town. Of course it can’t take me anywhere new. What if my dying grandmother lived in the next town over - would you let me get on /then/?
Tumblr media
I never got into Pokemon’s post-game battle facilities much. I wonder what Galar will have in that department.
Tumblr media
I go fishing in the pier, and find a few new Pokemon. That seems to confirm that what you catch is based on where you are, so there’s no rod upgrades.
Good to see that Basculin still comes in two forms. I’m guessing Sword version has the red form?
Tumblr media
Another sneaky way to help players - hide a Chinchou in the pier. Its electric attacks would also be useful against the Water Gym.
Tumblr media
Aha! Here’s that Pokemon we saw in the trailer, when everyone wasn’t sure if it /was/ a Pokemon or just a generic fish. Well, it is real, though it doesn’t look that useful. It actually looks like a skinnier version of red-striped Basculin.
Tumblr media
Nope, not keeping you. I only have six slots!
Tumblr media
Some more postcard pictures.
Tumblr media
Here’s that weird-looking Pokemon that was also glimpsed in the trailer. Will I be able to find this in the wild?
Tumblr media
A hidden Electric-type TM. This is why you explore and do side stuff /before/ continuing the main story.
Tumblr media
About ready to face the Gym now. First, now that I’ve entered a new town, I have some new options for my league card.
Tumblr media
Here’s a brief look at where I am so far.
Tumblr media
And a preview of Nessa. That pose cannot be comfortable.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My team. I’m hoping Avery’s Electric attacks will help, even though he is a bit under-leveled...
Tumblr media
First, the Gym puzzle. It’s not really that hard. You could probably do it completely by accident.
In the old days, we had puzzles involving sliding around on icy floors, and using the Strength HM to push boulders into the correct holes. Now /that/ was a puzzle!
Tumblr media
I wonder if Nessa ever gets cold, wearing that?
Tumblr media
Her Dreadnaw wasn’t a super-high level, but it was incredibly powerful.
Tumblr media
It knocked out my Dynamaxed Pokemon, even when the Dreadnaw itself was small!
Tumblr media
I had no choice but to pull out my starter, and fight water with water.
Tumblr media
Turns out Nessa’s calm demeanor breaks when she faces failure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And now it’s dusk. I still don’t get how time of day works in this game - is it just an aesthetic thing related to the story?
Tumblr media
A change in lighting can make for totally different pictures.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have access to a new job company. They must be a sponsor for Nessa, since she wore a pin with their logo. Does this mean we can actually encounter Wailord in the game?
Tumblr media
I also get the Chairman’s league card. I like the way he writes his signature.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know the drill - can’t advance with my life until I follow the plotted line into this restaurant. At least it looks fancy inside. I like the Wishi-Washi designs on the floor.
Tumblr media
Some story stuff happens. I am completely extraneous to this conversation.
Tumblr media
I don’t really know how I feel about the Chairman. I still think he’s probably up to no good, but he’s not the cackling-evil sort that Lusamine was. Maybe it’s actually Oleana who’s evil, and Rose is being manipulated.
Tumblr media
This restaurant: Nice location, horrible service. The whole time I sat here - empty glasses, and no food. If I’m gonna be forced to sit and listen to some exposition, I should at least get a meal out of it.
Tumblr media
Okay, that’s all for now! In the next entry, I will enter this tunnel into yet another mine.

Current feel: wanting to turn the old 1999 Pokemon Master Trainer board game into a tabletop rpg. The idea just hit me last week and its been festering in my brain and refusing to leave!
Aaaaa so many IDEAS for improving its flaws and expanding it to have more freedom and adding character sheets instead of Everyone Is Ash In Different Colours. What if you could even pick trainer classes that lean towards different gameplay styles? Like a battler gets exp for fighting as much as possible and a dex holder gets exp for catching lots and a pokemon breeder could have a 'my friends are my power' thing where every time their pokemon gains a level their trainer does too. Which could make them a good versatile mix between all the other styles, cos they could level up their mons by fighting or by catching loads of new mons, etc. And then i think each class would have a Class Square on the board that gives specific bonus events depending on what you picked. To help balance it out so that you still have opportunities to gain your class's specific exp even if you get a bunch of bad dice rolls. The breeder events could give ways to level up your pokemon without fighting, like cute pet affection moments that power them up with the power of love~! And of course an actual breeding mechanic where you can leave two of your pokemon at that space for a certain amount of turns and then you get a new pokemon. CHERISH IT! Oh and lol there could be a team rocket class that plays the same as the original game cos SERIOUSLY this board game is so broken and cutthroat, theres like a million cards to steal stuff from your friends and force them into ambush attacks and even LITERALLY STEAL THEIR TURN AND MAKE THEM DO IT AGAIN! There's a time machine card thats so poorly written that it lets you undo any turn whether its yours, your opponents or even the enemy pieces on the board! I hope i never mess up that bad in game design lol
And it could work so well as an episodic thing where in each session we have a smaller game board based on an individual area? Like in the original you just have one board thats all of kanto, and none of the landmarks are even really marked which sucks. It took until the second game to even add gym leaders as a gameplay mechanic! So i'm thinking if we wanted to make this a multi session game we could turn each leg of the journey into its own sub-board. Each one would contain one Route area for training and catching pokemon, and then one Town that contains the gym leader thats the final boss of this area. And maybe equivelant final goals for every trainer class? Like catching a rare pokemon or doing a pokemon contest? (I cant think of anything else for breeders except 'hatch a shiny pokemon' which would be way more difficult than everyone else's stuff! Either that or maybe just a goal of hatching a certain amount of eggs? So they could be the only class that doesnt need to get to the town to win? I dunno i'll work on it!!) ANYWAY what i mean is that each game session could be a mini battle to get to the goal, and then that carries over into the next one. You don't win the whole thing just for getting the Pewter City gym badge, but it means you get to draw a rare card and roll first next time. And you get an idea of who's in the lead at each moment, causing stuff to get more competitive (or more collaborative!) as you get close to the final stretch...
And and and i thought of a cool idea for the first board of the game! What if getting your starter pokemon was a minigame? Everyone rolls dice and it determines what order you get to pick in, cos you slept in like Ash from the first episode of the anime. And also similarly maybe player 4 doesnt get to pick and they get a randomized starter that wasnt on the list? Which could either be a great lucky pick or a huge disadvantage, so maybe you wanna try it on purpose just in case... and hmm I'd definately let players swap their starters if they all agreed on it, i mean this is supposed to be fun rather than uber competitive. But to keep the luck aspect i'd say you can only trade your randomized starter AS a randomized starter. I.e you trade it before you roll to find out what it is. Bargain away the potentially valuable luck of the draw! But if the luck fails then you're stuck with it!
Oh and also you totally get bonus exp for roleplaying, cos this is mostly a framework just for a monopoly esque thing and we need to turn it into more of an Experience. I was thinking replace the 'get a pokemon without battling' squares with 'get a pokemon IF you can write me a lil story about how you encountered and befriended it'. BONUS POINTS FOR HOW MANY TIMES THE GM SAYS DAWW
Man ive thought way too much about this...
Maybe even make up a new original region so i could balance the locations to fit the gameplay a bit better instead of being bound to kanto? Hmm... An excuse to make Cute Professor Grandma...

Top Ten Favourite Anime Games
For this list, I will only be including games that are specifically considered part of the anime genre, NOT games that were created by Japan Studio or other Japanese companies/creators. So games like shadow of the colossus,  Bloodborne, Metal Gear, Resident Evil, etc., won’t be mentioned. While it is arguable that such games could fit the anime genre, it’s never been clarified. So here’s a list of my top 10 anime games.
1. Gravity Rush
Tumblr media
There’s no real order for this list EXCEPT for Gravity Rush. It is easily my number one favourite pick. I bought it for next to nothing thinking it would be a cute little experience, but it ended up gripping my interest for four days straight; which is rare for me. While at work, all I could think about was getting back to it, and it’s one of the few games with trophies that didn’t annoy me. Seriously-- not one trophy pissed me off. In every game there’s at least two or three that really grind my gears, but Gravity Rush had nada.
There are several challenges in the game that are tough but fair, and they never become boring because they’re designed in such a way that the more you play them, the better you get. You begin to learn the controls, the landscape, the shortcuts, etc., which makes for some excellent gameplay. At no point in the game do you feel like a failure, which is nice once in a while. On top of that the story is fun, the characters are lovable, and the art is breathtaking. During each new chapter, we’re given information in the form of a hand-drawn manga, which only adds to the uniqueness. The language in the game is also made up, so anyone can relate to it. And the music? Oh, don’t even get me started:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxIC6Vu1ee0&t=43s
And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, they went ahead and created a sequel, Gravity Rush 2! It’s pretty rare, in my opinion anyway, that video games have sequels that measure up to their predecessor, but Gravity Rush 2 might be even better! It lets us revisit old friends, make new friends, explore more areas, it gives us grater challenges and a newly implemented difficulty setting, and additional online adventures that have nothing to do with achievements! What really hits me about these games, though, is the freedom. You get to fly wherever you want, anytime you want, at ridiculous speeds. The world is vast, beautiful, and so fun to navigate.
After playing and falling in love with these games, I can only assume they’re called “Gravity Rush” because they’re an absolute rush to play.
2. Devil May Cry
Tumblr media
Specifically the first game, Devil May Cry will always have a special place in my heart. I played the game a lot when I was in grade school and kept replaying it well into my high school years. All the way up until my PS2 broke. :’)
Now, I do know that this game was created by Capcom and that it was supposed to be related to the Resident Evil franchise, but director Hideki Kamiya openly stated that the game is an anime-style hack and slash action-adventure game, and even gave the anime T.V. show, Devil May Cry: The Animated Series by Shin Itagaki, his professional seal of approval.
That said, Devil May Cry is addictive with its brutal but charming character Dante, and its dark and twisted plot/gameplay. If you’re into cool characters, blood and guts, and kick-ass combat, this is the game for you!
3. Catherine
Tumblr media
Another nostalgic game for me, Catherine was something I played constantly when I was in high school. The animation is enticing, the story is a giant mind f*ck, and the English voice acting is stupendous. Like many story-related anime games, it has multiple endings, as well as a karma metre that wraps into your choices. The story revolves around a man named Vincent  Brooks, who is beset by supernatural nightmares while torn between his feelings for longtime girlfriend Katherine and the similarly-named beauty Catherine.
While the game is mostly a platformer, the challenges are unreal, especially in Babel (an extra area not related to the story) and the arcade game, Rapunzel. If you want your brain to turn to mush, I’d suggest setting this baby to the hardest difficulty. Naturally there’s a trophy for beating everything with a gold time, so if you get that you’ll be able to gloat to all your friends about how smart you are. XD
Jokes aside, though, there are other aspects to the game that keep you going. You won’t get bored of the platforming because between each level is the story, given to us in two distinct anime styles, and a trip to the bar, where you can get drunk and interact with other characters. Depending on the dialogue you choose, you could be responsible for their dreams coming true ... or their untimely death. A remake of the game will be coming out for PS4 next year and I can’t wait to play it!
4. No More Heroes
Tumblr media
No More Heroes is another action-adventure hack and slash video game that follows a man named Travis Touchdown ... who is a hardcore otaku. Literally all he cares about is killing and anime, which makes for a hilarious story. Travis is also a top-class assassin in a world where assassins constantly compete. Think John Wick: The Anime. This game is full of comedy and combat, as well as cool characters, crude challenges, and a cuddly kitty cat. I played this game religiously when I was in high school, and enjoyed it even up to it’s weird mind f*ck of an ending. The only downside being that it’s only available on Wii, which made for an interesting and unique experience, but a sad realisation that it will never be available for any other platform.
5. Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Tumblr media
Just like No More Heroes, Trauma Center: Second Opinion is only available on Wii; but that in no way affected my love for it. Second Opinion is the second game in a long line of Trauma Centers, but for some reason it’s the only one I enjoy. Perhaps it’s because playing it on the Wii gave it a sense of realism. The game is a surgery simulator, and like an actual surgeon, you have to concentrate and keep your hands steady to succeed. If you move too quickly or throw yourself off balance, the patient will die. The art and music are also incredible and, believe it or not, there’s actually a pretty interesting story that goes along with each chapter. As you work your way to more advanced operations, you really take a liking to the characters and feel a strong sense of duty to your patients. To anyone who owns a Wii, this is definitely a game I’d recommend.
6. Chibi-Robo!
Tumblr media
Chibi-Robo! This game takes me back! I spent hours upon hours playing this game, and I still would today if my copy hadn’t been stolen. This little treat is only available on the Wii and GameCube, and was created by Nintendo. It’s one of the most adorable platform-adventure games I’ve ever played to date. The Wiki explains the plot perfectly, so I’ll just post it here:
“Chibi-Robo! takes place in a 1960s-style American home and revolves around a tiny, highly advanced robot of the same name. He is given as a birthday gift to a socially withdrawn eight-year-old named Jenny Sanderson by her father. This is much to the dismay of Jenny's mother, a homemaker who is constantly stressed over how much money her husband spends on toys despite his unemployment.”
For a game that seems so basic, there are a plethora of areas to explore and they are huge. Ironically so, I’m sure, but it makes for some amazing gameplay nonetheless. As you wander, you help other creatures around the house, including the family, solve their problems and complete challenging and often comedic tasks; such as flipping burgers, cleaning up puddles, and-- you know-- helping the egg general save his fellow egg soldiers from the household dog. Yeah, stuff like that. XD
Honestly, it’s super fun and I recommend it to anyone, no matter what their age. It’s clearly geared towards children, but I can’t think of a single reason why an adult wouldn’t enjoy it just as much. It’s relaxing, freeing, and puts a genuine smile on your face. :)
7. Pokemon X and Y
Tumblr media
Okay, I know I probably shouldn’t add Pokemon to this list, but I can’t help it! I’ve always loved the Pokemon games, but they just get better and better every time! Pokemon X and Y quickly became favourites of mine, and they consumed my life for a good two months as I captured every single Pokemon, bred the perfect IVs, and worked my ass off to get every shiny I desired. On top of that, I loved the story and, for once, how my character design turned out. What’s more, I fell absolutely in love with the Looker side quest, which is possibly the best and most emotional side quest I’ve ever played in a Pokemon game. X and Y will always be special to me, because in was with these two games that I caught ‘em all!
8. Pokemon Sun and Moon
Tumblr media
Visually, Pokemon Sun and Moon are the best of the Pokemon games, in my opinion. They were also the first to really shake things up and give fans new and improved methods of breeding, capture, travel, communication, and more. We were also introduced to a new type of pokemon called “ultra beasts”, along with a fun and alluring story with several new characters and legendaries. Throughout the game, I found myself laughing hard at some of the experiences, and I spent countless hours capturing, trading, breeding, spoiling, and loving all of the new pokemon the games had to offer. I even transferred my pokemon from X and Y over so I could give them the same love and affection. ^_^
I have to thank @cassafra5 and @george-nordington, because they’re the ones who bought me this masterpiece! Thanks, guys! <3
9. .hack//OUTBREAK
Tumblr media
This is a game that will always be near and dear to my heart. Back before guides were widely available, I was playing a game called .Hack//OUTBREAK. It came out in 2002, when I was only 12 years old. Back then, my dad was still alive. He never really understood my taste in anime, but he wanted to try and relate, so he bought this game for me on a whim. Little did he know I knew absolutely nothing about the .Hack series, and little did either of us know that OUTBREAK was actually the third part to two other .Hack games. Still, I didn’t want to hurt his feelings, so I played the game-- and I fell in love.
Visually, OUTBREAK was one of the best games I owned on PS2, and although parts of the story were difficult to follow, I was hooked. I dedicated entire days to this game, and because there weren’t any guides, I had to write down every code and location so I wouldn’t get lost/forget them. Today, I still have pages folded safely in the case. The amount of exploration and character interaction opened me up to a whole new genre of video games. In fact, it basically introduced me to anime-style games. I could actually buy gifts for my friends and build relationships. That seems common now, but back then it wasn’t for a typical PS2 game.
Unfortunately, tragedy struck when the save cartridge was accidentally kicked by my brother and all of my data was lost. I wasn’t too concerned, since I figured I could just replay the game and get everything back ... but the disk was also severely, irreparably scratched. It no longer plays. As such, it is now merely a keepsake from my father. I miss you, dad.
But 16 years later and my sister and I are still quoting this game! XD @alannahkiwi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0I-7hwgwqa4
10. Persona 5
Tumblr media
I only recently started playing Persona 5, but it’s quickly made its way to my top ten. I can’t say too much about it just yet, aside from the fact that the animation is crisp, the story is gripping, and I’m ready to sink hours of my life into platinuming this gorgeous feet of human achievement! So much heart and sole was poured into this game and it shows with every in-game step I take. This is the only game on this list that I haven’t yet finished, but I have a sense that I don’t really need to. Thus far, every mission has been a gem and I don’t want the party to end!

About my pokemon Trainer!
@hollowsentinel
My Starter pokemon was Solosis, a psychic type.  He’s named Soma, and has since evolved into a Duosion.  He’s very slow (almost guaranteed last in initiative order), but he hits like a bag of trucks, and he’s really tanky.  Plus he’s got amazing recovery potential.
My first catch was a Cottonee.  Her name is Pix, and she’s a Whimsicott now.  In contrast to Soma, she’s incredibly fast.  Decent damage, decent bulk.  She’s very tricksy with some status effects and heal over time/drain.
During the same first encounter, I also caught a Hoppip.  He had the name of Dandy, and he managed to evolve into a skiploom before I traded him.  We’re doing a wonder trade system.  You offer a pokemon up, and every day you roll a check.  The result determines how many offers you get, and for each offer the DM uses a random generator with a level range (excluding legendaries, of course).  I got a Porygon, which I named Vector.  Vector is kind of low level, and he’s in the PC for now while I challenge my first gym (a grass gym). After the first encounter, but before I traded Dandy, I managed to befriend a Sentret, which I didn’t immediately catch, but followed me around.  A day later, he let me catch him.  His name is Ace, and he’s fast with a pretty high amount of HP.  He’s not too tanky defense/spdefense-wise, but his evasion is pretty high.  Even if he’s not attacking, he’s got Helping Hand, which buffs an ally’s next attack.  He’s got really good movement, too.
Eventually, we were in a swamp and found a bunch of Wooper.  They (and myself) were ambushed by Stunfisks hiding in the mud.  One tazed my trainer when he stepped on it, and I spent the whole fight trying to calm down the panicked woopers.  I caught one with a pokeball, and her name is Newton.  The stunfisk that ambushed my trainer got hit by an ally’s attacks, and so I dropped a pokeball on it.  Her name is Tesla.  Both of them are pretty tanky, but pretty slow.  They’ve got some neat tricks, and I’m gonna hang onto them for a while.
Finally, there’s Qilin.  I caught him in an amusing way.  Still in the marshlands, we were walking on some docks, and it was getting a little odd.  Tiretracks, little ramps...like a track.  Well, a bunch of Whirlipedes came barreling straight at us, so me and another trainer panicked and threw pokeballs.  Got a lucky capture.  Turns out, we interrupted a race.  So we both let our new pokemon (he also caught a Whirlipede) out to race with their wild friends, and mine ended up winning the race!  He decided I was a worthy trainer, and happily left with me.  He’s slow, but his tanking is amazing, even if he doesn’t have many moves to attack with yet (just poison sting, so far, but he’ll get more moves really soon.)
During a bossfight, we fought the ghosts of a house that burned down.  They were Fire/Grass Trevenant and Phantumps (there’s something called Type-Shifting in this game, pokemon that are basically like Alola Forms but it’s a rare mutation instead of a regional variant).  There were also a couple gastly, and we couldn’t hit them, so I just tossed pokeballs out of desperation.  Caught the full HP pokemon without difficulty due to more lucky rolls!  I gave one each to two of my comrades, and someone also got a fire/grass phantump.
There’s been some other stuff I can’t quite remember.  Umm, there was an ultra-wormhole that opened up in the mall, and we were in the “infinite mall” doing weird puzzles to get out.  A bookstore that involved fighting Unown by finding the books with missing letters, which made the boss progressively weaker as the corresponding “letters” of Unown.  A toy store where we were toy-sized and had to help a trio of toy pokemon (Chesnaught, Greninja, and Delphox) take down a weird machine.  The adventure is called “the Amazing Mawile Machine”.  Basically, a mechanical Mega Mawile constantly spawns little keyturn-mawile bots.  You have to beat the boss to stop the tide.  The three toy heros each took a different path.  Stealthing along a train with Greninja, fighting down the hill to storm the gates with Chesnaught...or a hot-wheels track with Delphox.  I did the track with Delphox with a friend.  It was a surprising amount of fun.  The last store was a fashion show, basically, with fashion police pokemon.  The theme of each outfit had to be “super effective” against the previous, with color/theme corresponding to a pokemon type. A lot more, I know I can’t remember it all.  But it’s been really fun!  I’ll post another time about it.  Maybe after next game I’ll give an update or something.
Anyway, the classes I’m taking are Mentor (they tutor moves and stuff), Researcher (you get 2 “subclasses”, I picked Pokemon Caretaking which makes breeding better or just gives my pokemon a moderate boost to all stats, and Jailbreaker, which lets me modify pokeballs like turning Dusk Balls into “Sun Balls” or “Rain Balls”, or turning Dive Balls into a combination of two other types, stuff like that), Ace Trainer (the most basic class essentially, just focus on making your pokemon battle better or making them fight in peak condition), and eventually I’ll take Normal Ace (which will let me do things to make Normal types better or stronger, and with another feat, I can even Type Shift a couple pokemon to add the Normal type to gain the class’s benefits!).
Phew.  I’m almost out of breath just typing all that.  If you couldn’t tell, I’m really excited by this game.  I’d also rave about the CthulhuTech game I’m in, but that’s...not really a cheery game. XD It’s about horror and insanity, so...maybe another time.

Note
1-70, Dragon ask
O.O omg someone actually did it. alright here we go. this is gonna take a while.
how would you handle living on Berk? well, it would be a huge culture shock for a while, obviously. it would take me a while to get used to not having wifi and running water. but i think in the long run i’d like it! they were simpler times, after all. also adventure. can’t get adventure like that in the 21st century, can we?
how do you think you’d be different if you grew up on Berk? i think my mind wouldn’t be as cluttered. i think i would live a simpler life. i would likely still be enthusiastic and creative and kinda weird, but in a very Viking way.
yaks, chicken, or sheep? um... i guess sheep? i’d probably have one that i’d just hang out with all the time and talk to like it was a cat or something lol
the chicken is not amused. what did you do wrong? i procrastinated homework that’s what
favorite dragon species? don’t ask me that. it’s like trying to pick a favorite cat breed! i don’t care what kind it is just give me all the kitties!!! same with dragons. i love them all.
what type of dragon would you like to ride? is that different from the dragon you’d most likely ride? um... i think i’d like to ride a Triple Stryke or a Deathsong or a Flightmare. something unexpected! but i’d most likely ride a Gronckle; probably all i could handle.
how would your first flight on a dragon turn out? maybe with me flopping down on my back and simultaneously wanting to fly every minute of my life and to never fly again.
on a scale of Snotlout to Hiccup, how are your dragon riding skills? on that scale i am Dagur. just dicking around like a maniac until i figure it out.
would you get into trouble on Berk? it depends. i’m not exactly a daredevil and i’m not an inventor of potentially dangerous weapons. looking at you, hiccup. but no matter how much i try to stay out of the spotlight i manage to do one or two things wrong so yeah i’d probably get into minimal trouble
would you try Astrid's yaknog? yes, out of politeness. then, if i’m brave enough, i’d critique it. without getting punched in the face.
coolest dragon? NIGHTFURY
scariest dragon? the Screaming Death. that thing is freaky. of course i did once make up a giant spider dragon but that’s not canon so it don’t count
most unique dragon? i’d say the Triple Stryke! it’s like a scorpion pokemon and i love it so much
favorite dragon class? uh.... i guess Strike class?
suggest a new dragon species. what does it look like? what are its powers? SPIDER DRAGON!!! well, technically it’s called the Arachnid Vilehide. it looks similar to a Deathsong, only in dark, dull colors with no bright decorations, and it has eight long skinny legs and wings that it can fold into special flaps on its back. also it’s got a couple different venoms; one to put prey to sleep and one to kill prey.
if YOU were a dragon, what would you be? oy. i have no clue. maybe a Terrible Terror.
any underappreciated dragon species you want to give a callout to? GRONCKLES!! they are so sweet and pure and so overlooked!
what do you think Stoick does with all his wooden duck carvings? maybe he’s creating them for his future grandchildren. hehe
the dragon riders can visit anywhere in the world, any place in history. where would you suggest they go? ah....... maybe the Lewis and Clark expedition???? cmon, exploring a mysterious new land? hiccup loves that shit!
you, Hiccup, Snotlout, and Tuffnut are now roommates in an apartment. how well does this work out? alright i feel like hiccup would be a decent roommate. snotlout and tuffnut on the other hand would not. tuff would probably keep his space fairly contained, but he’d just do a lot of weird shit. i don’t know
you, Astrid, Heather, and Ruffnut are now roommates in an apartment. how well does this work out? alright this would be pretty cool. since we’d all be girls, it wouldn’t be so weird. plus it would be easier for us to bond. girls nights!!
what do you think the dragon riders are like as old women and men? uh... like themselves but.. slower, quieter, and weirder.
which character do you relate the most to? definitely Hiccup. we are both restless explorers. we are both discovering who we are. we are both compassionate, but at the same time take no shit. we are awkward and know we’re a little weirder than everyone else. we are adventurers and stubborn rebels.
how well do your know your dragon stats? not at all.
who would you want to spend a day with? who would be your best friend? HICCUP.
how would you handle the twins' pranks? Loki'd! i would be very annoyed with them at first. but then as i get used to it i would learn how to retaliate.
you and Snotlout are on patrol together. what happens? Snotlout tries to flirt with me and i ignore him.
which character would you get along with the least? ah... maybe Snotlout. i don’t know, i kinda get along with everyone so idk
anyone on Berk you'd date?  I hear Bucket is single... maybe ruffnut? she’s so pretty!
axes, swords, hammers, bows and arrows, or maces? i think bows and arrows. i’d suck at close combat!
what would your house look like on Dragon's Edge? homey and cozy. i’d have lots of space for my hobby activities (painting and embroidery, probably) but also special spaces where i have my books, candles, blankets, and pillows just so i can chill there in the evenings.
what is your favorite house on Dragon's Edge? i think the clubhouse, actually!
what's your favorite island? (outside of Berk) uh i guess Dragon’s Edge? it’s a cool lil place.
favorite villain? i think Viggo. he is definitely one of the most compelling villains i’ve ever seen, and not just in httyd. sad to see him go! i hope he’s not dead.
how would you handle being kidnapped by the Outcasts? i would barely be able to handle it at all. you know, panic and stuff. i’d kinda just hide in wherever the Outcasts put me while i wait for Hiccup to come save my sorry ass.
give the dragon riders superpowers. what can each of them do? um.. Hiccup has actual wings and can fly. Astrid has super strength. the twins can predict anything that will happen in the next hour. i don’t know what the rest of them have, i’m tired
favorite track in the HTTYD or HTTYD 2 OST? i love the track Flying With Mother from httyd2. hiccup is such a mama’s boy!
favorite ship? HICCSTRID. but i also have a soft spot for Dagcup.
favorite friendship? i love Hiccup and Snotlout’s friendship.
favorite dragon-rider duo? the twins make a great duo. i love them.
favorite secondary or background character? DAGUR! does he count?
suggest a new pairing. why would it work? ah.... maybe Ruffnut and Dagur? they’re both pretty weird but also have lots of strengths. also they are cinnamon rolls. i think they’d make a really cute ship.
I want these two characters to spend more time together... definitely Hiccup and Dagur.
come up with a crack pairing. um.. Snotlout and Fishlegs. idk it’s off the top of my head.
have any HTTYD OCs? YES!!!! i have an OC named Glacier who was once a forager of dragon root for Viggo. eventually she figured out what the dragon root was being used for, so she quit and ended up joining the dragon riders, but not without a lot of hardships along the way. anyways she ends up breaking off completely from her abusers and rising above her fear to defeat them.
suggest a new AU (or mention an AU you like). i’ve recently been getting into a pirates AU! i’ve only just started so it’s really new but i like it a lot
suggest a new crossover (or mention one you like). um idk i’d really like a crossover with Voltron. i think it would be fun!
list off your top three fandoms. now combine them with HTTYD. what would the crossover be like? um, Gravity Falls (a wormhole in time and space makes the dragon riders fall into Gravity Falls), Ghostbusters (the ghosts of the dragon riders are looking for the ghosts of their dragons and the Ghostbusters end up helping them do so), and Voltron (the dragon riders are targeted by Zarkon and Team Voltron protects them).
list off any three of your fandoms and combine them with HTTYD for the weirdest crossover you can think of. but i just did that!
do you think any of the dragon riders have children? have any headcanons about the next generation? i have many headcanons. but my favorite is that Hiccup and Astrid end up adopting a little girl and her younger brother when their village is completely destroyed by an unknown enemy.
favorite thing about your favorite character? i love how compassionate Hiccup is. he tries to avoid bloodshed if he can and that’s why he is so pure.
tell me a character and I'll give you a headcanon. um.. i don’t really understand this one.
tell me a character and I'll give you a favorite quote. ???
tell me a show, movie, or movie short and I'll tell you a favorite scene. ?????????
have you read the books? if so, which book is your favorite? i’ve only read a handful of them! but i loved How to Be a Pirate. i’ve gotta finish reading them!
suggest a DreamWorks Dragons episode plot. um... Hiccup is kidnapped by pirates and held for ransom. idk i think it might be a fun episode.
who's an underappreciated character and why do you appreciate them? RUFFNUT IS SO UNDERAPPRECIATED. did you see how badass she was in “Twintuition”??? she’s fuckin awesome!!!!
you have to give each of the dragon riders awards. what awards do you give everyone? to Hiccup: most near-death experiences without actually dying. to Astrid: supreme queen of badassery. to Snotlout: not as big of a jerk as you could have been. to Fishlegs: sweetest nerd in existence. to the twins: best secret geniuses. to Heather:
who has the best hairstyle? Heather! i love her braid.
should Hiccup, Fishlegs, Snotlout, and Tuffnut grow beards? .....nah.
who has the best outfit? i’d say... Hiccup. he just looks great
how would you react if Snotlout started hitting on you? roll my eyes and ignore him.
how would you react if Ruffnut started hitting on you? i think i would instinctively blush!
do you know all the lyrics in "For the Dancing and the Dreaming?" yes. yes i do. i may or may not mouth the entire song to myself in the shower.
let's be mean. how do you think each of the dragon riders will die? in an ideal world, they’ll all die of old age surrounded by their loved ones. but most likely, some of them will die by murder, maybe by recklessness, maybe by accidents with dragons. i honestly don’t know. do i even want to know?
how did you enter the HTTYD fandom? officially? well, it was June 15, 2014. i had just seen httyd2 in theaters with my family. i cried in the theater and i was blown away by how incredible it was. so, as i do when i’m blown away by a movie, i checked out the tag on tumblr. what i found was an amazing fandom filled with such sweet and talented people. that was the day i joined the fandom.
when did you enter the HTTYD fandom? as i said, June 15, 2014.
what made you fall in love with How to Train Your Dragon? i think it was the sense of adventure and wonder, and the idea that the person who didn’t expect much of himself and was different from everyone else was the one who changed his entire world. that’s inspiring.
what is something you didn't initially think about but grew to love about HTTYD? probably all the meta that goes with the series. there’s deeper things behind what you initially see. once you see it, it’s beautiful.
what is the BEST thing (to you) about HTTYD and its franchise? the best thing? i’d say it’s the characters. they’re really deeply created. they have flaws, fears, and goals. i just love how they’re written
wow that took forever.
