Happy Sibling Day!

Wow look at me, I actually planned ahead to make a piece for a specific day and finished it on time wowie.

Anyway have some sibling pairs bein’ cute!

Okay and since I suck at shutting up my thought processes behind the pieces!

Garroth and Zane: Hc that Zane is very smart but had some speech issues early on. Speech therapy helped a lot, to the point where he becomes almost absurdly eloquent as his reading quickly translates into his speech. The comic is set early on in this therapy, so he’s just starting to vocalize names, and he hasn’t quite grasped the -th sound yet lol.

Laurance and Cadenza: Okay I actually have two ideas for Laurance’s ginger phase that I can’t choose between.

Option 1: As Laurance got older he and Cadenza started getting confused for a couple by strangers, which got on both of their nerves. Laurance lost the draw for who had to change their hair color, but ends up really liking the orange as it makes him feel closer to Candenza

Option 2: Since Laurance and Hayden look more similar people start to assume Cadenza is just Laurance’s friend and not part of the family. It gets to the point where Cadenza wants to dye her hair brown to fit in with them, but knowing how much she loves her hair Laurance offers to dye his instead, so that they can be equally confusing.

Dimitri and Naoko: Dimitri was raised by Nicole for most of his childhood before her and Dante decide to try a coparenting situation. He’s hesitant about his new sister, but quickly warms up to her. All the parents are definitely recording it to embarrass him later lol.

Levin and Malachi + Lilith and Alina: I wanted to draw them all together, maybe in a joking rivalry kind of way, (child batch 1 vs child batch 2) but I settled for pictures of them on Aph’s walls.

I saw a post talking about Lilith and how mystreet Aarmau would find her and just. Imagine it doesn't follow Diaries and instead follows the plot of canon Mystreet, but now with the addition of Aph and Aaron having an adopted baby daughter. Imagine she mysteriously lost both of her parents, only for the events of Emerald Secret and When Angels Fall to happen. She does still have Aph, but she lost her once and she lost Aaron twice. Even if she wasn't in Emerald Secret and instead stayed with Sylvanna, she would still be with the cast in When Angels Fall.

At first, it was the happiest Aph ever saw her daughter. She got to teach Lilith how to swim and they got cute matching bathing suits. She got to be surrounded by her family and her family's friends, which were all essentially her aunts and uncles. She got to be loving doted on by her grandmother, Eric, and Zianna. Then that all changed. Suddenly, they were moving to a suite, everyone seemed tense and anxious, and Lilith wasn't allowed to leave anymore. It was fine for a month or so, but then she was being smuggled out by her mother and Zane, her mother and Kawaii~Chan (who probably spent the most amount of time with Lilith out of all of her aunts) got mortally wounded, and Garroth and Katelyn were siding with the bad men now. Melissa and Rachel were dead, her father was missing, and the rest of her aunts and uncles were talking about leaving. She was probably left behind with Sylvanna, Eric, and the Ro'Meaves while they went onto the celestial Canon, so she would've blacked out only to wake up to find she couldn't be with her parents

Imagine how traumatic all of that would be for a baby. She doesn't know what's going on, she can't understand or process it, but she knows she was scared and her parents were just as scared

So we all know that lords are a heritage thing. Like if your parents were a lord so will you, and some villages you don't have a choice. I think Aphmau will always allow her children to choose if they want to be lords or not. She would never make one kid an heir to her lordship, and if none of her kids wanted to be lords then she would sit them down with her most trusted people and choose the best option. For this reason Levin became lord because he wanted to, and Alina would become lord of the Phoenix Alliance island.

Giggling about Aph's mini-love interest children until i thought about what if they realized it in-universe

Levin having fuzzy memories of pulling at his mom's flower crown, given to her by a man who looked a bit like him. It wasn't his dad, but it must have been someone who made his mom happy. Maybe he's still out there keeping Mom safe. Maybe he'll be the one to make sure she comes home... no matter the cost.

Malachi getting some street smarts lessons from Laurance. Being an adopted kid of a lord, feeling like an outsider and just trying your best to hold your sibling's hand and keep them safe? Yeah, Laurance gets it. It's just a couple tips on avoiding bad circles and keeping your wits about you, but Malachi flashes back to them constantly while trying to help Levin.

Lilith Garnet carrying on the souls of two Lord's lost beloveds through her very name. Two people who have had far more tears shed for them than she'll ever be able to repay. I don't even have more to say here, I'm just sad :(

Thinking of Aph/Ana's kids calling the guys different variations of dad.

Laurance is Ta/Tati to Levin, Ba/Baba to Malachi, and Da to the girls. These are how he referred to his own fathers, both when addressing them directly and when speaking of them to others. The Zvahl household speaks Seafarer's, Ta and Ba being two words for father. He will straight up not respond if any of them refer to him as Father because it doesn't process in his brain as a word he associates with fatherhood, because he never called his own fathers that, which is the only reason Levin doesn't call him Father as an adult.

Garroth is Papa to the girls, Pa to Malachi, Pa to Levin when he was a baby and Father when he's an adult. The first time Levin calls him Father he has a panic attack and thinks he's hallucinating. He looks very much like Garroth when he's older, and he has some of Garroth's accent since Garroth was one of his primary caretakers in his formative years, and he reminds him so of himself when he was young. He gets used to it eventually, after Levin explains he feels he needs to act more proper as Lord.

Aaron was Dad or Father to the girls because he would be described to them as 'your dad' or 'your father,' they never actually met him. He was never really as much of a dad to the boys, and that was perfectly fine by Aaron since if they did call him dad all he would be able to think about is what Jacob would be like if he'd had the chance to grow up.

And honorary Uncle Dante to all the kids, he is Uncle to every single person in the village Levin's age or younger

In my rewrite Garroth is Levin’s bio dad, who then helps raise him with Aphmau, and Laurance is a father figure for Malachi.

Garnet is originally adopted by Aaron and Aphmau helps care for her, then when Aaron dies Aphmau adopts her and Garroth becomes a sort of father to her. Laurance is Lina’s father and Garroth steps up as a father figure to her too. And that’s not even MENTIONING everything Zoey did.

Basically what I’m getting at is that Aphmau has 2 metaphorical baby daddies, 1 actual baby daddy, and an overworked nanny that’s basically her wife.

Alright alright I should probably post this, sorry for a sudden disappearance! My phones been in repair and I only have my iPad to do all my socials and idk for me I just don’t like posting on my iPad it’s purely a me thing 😭…. Anyways! Then a major jump into Zoey and garroth with Child (zenith) and before you say “why does she have her dogs out 😭😭” WELLL ELVES WANT TO FEEL THE EARTH TO ABSORB THE NATURAL MAGICCC while they’re expecting :3, I’m gonna say some things about elves and their pregnancy!

Elves carry for about 10-11 months

They have cravings for magic induced fruits

Within the culture elves embroider on a blanket for their babies , not just for fun but for a spell that’s woven in the blanket for protection (this practice is now banned in Yggdrasil due to the law of using magicks )

Usually in Yggdrasil there’s a garden for expecting mothers, young children and their parents , and new borns and parents to soak in the nature magic’s . It relaxes them and it’s a need for children and new Borns to walk around the garden. Since Zoey is banished from Yggdrasil she’s kinda just walks around a neighbors garden , but garroth makes their own private garden with the help of Travis and Lucinda for magical plants!

The Lost Princess Lilith-Grace Of Tu’la

Meet my version of MCD Lilith-Garnet! I renamed her a bit cuz the combination of her names just sounds a bit clunky to me.

She’s the lost princess of tu’la, her aunt and uncle’s (who she was traveling with) ship crashed on the rocks of the wyvern cave Aphmau and crew find her on in canon. Only this time, because I never sent the crew to the Irene Dimension (Aphmau gets her relic in a different way), Garroth is with them and has an “Odysseus in the horse and the infant” moment where the others are arguing with him about not keeping her (idk what they wanna do with her but it’s not kill her). And because Aphmau knows she’s Irene by this point, she uses the whole “this is the will of the gods” defense on him.

Despite that he still keeps her and raises her as his own, with Aphmau’s kids being like her cousins. He trains her to fight on her own so if she does decide to go back to tu’la she won’t exactly need guards and can hold her own if need be. Her personality is closer to Zane’s than Garroth’s despite never meeting the man. She’s a bit more cunning and aggressive than her adoptive father, and isn’t afraid to use manipulation to get what she wants. Garroth isn’t really a fan of this bit of her personality, but he doesn’t admonish her for it because she doesn’t use it to hurt people.

(Yes, her outfit is based on vessel from sleep token; I thought it fitted the vibe I want her to have)

Future Alina and Lilith snippet, Alina wanted to be lord while Lilith was a guard/traveler. Lilith was offered the option, but she wanted to fight and cause chaos. And Alina wanted to help people in the same way her mother did.

APHMAU AND ZOEY HAD A GOOD SYSTEM. ZOEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE KIDS IN DURING THE DAY AND APHMAU WOULD TAKE CARE OF THEM IN THE EVENING. THATS WHAT WORKED FOR THEIR FAMILY.

NOT TO MENTION. APHMAU TOOK HER KIDS IN OUT OF THE PURE KINDNESS OF HER HEART AND LOVED THEM TO DEATH!! IT DIDNT MATTER IF THEY WERE LEFT AT HER DOORSTEP, OR A GHOST THAT COULD LITERALLY SHOW PEOPLE THEIR WORST FEARS, OR FOUND IN A CAVE OF WYVERNS AFTER A BOAT CRASH. EVEN WHEN SHE WAS PREOCCUPIED, SHE ALWAYS HAD PEOPLE MAKING SURE THEY WERE LOVED.

SHE WAS A FULL TIME LORD, OBVIOUSLY SHE WOULDNT BE ABLE TO BE WITH THEM 24/7, AND THEY COULDNT COME WITH HER BECAUSE SHE WAS DOING DANGEROUS WORK.

LEAVE MY GIRL ALONE! SHE LOVED HER KIDS SO MUCH AND MADE SURE THEY WERE TAKEN CARE OF EVEN WHEN SHE COULDNT CARE FOR HERSELF.

The Malachi and Levin vs Alina and Lilith age gap is so funny

Like speaking as someone with a sibling that’s like a decade and a half younger, they must have the funniest relationship.

They’re fighting with a toddler over their mom, who came first, who can sit next to mom at dinner

I think levin would have no shame in beefing with an infant. They would make faces at each other, shove each other. Alina would bite him and he would smack her with a pillow

Aphmaus would definitely make them wear the same shirt until they got along
