It's been 16 years [x] since the WGA strike of 2007 set a chain of events that led to Castiel the angel saying he loved Dean Winchester and promptly dying exactly 13 years later on the night of November 5, 2020, nowadays known as the destielputinelection night.

It's been three years. For some, the night of November 5, 2020 has become no more than a blur of chaos, whilst for others, the memories of that day remain as vivid and raw as back then, even three years later.

It's time to make peace with the fact that there will be no peace. The ghost of destiel has not left and has contaminated the internet, going so far as to causing Supernatural to trend solely because of the use of the Destiel meme to convey the news [x] [x] [x].

Just this morning, it contributed to Putin trending on the hellsite alongside BBC Sherlock.

Honestly, Danny is having such a good time right now. He gets to travel with Ellie, explore space, just have fun. Plus his secondary protector-instincts are having soothed despite him not technically doing any hero-ing anymore. Really his sister had the right idea when she decided she wanted to become a doctor, this is honestly a blast.

And if someone does end up passing away, well, Ellie is always happy to help soothe their spirit and guide them to the Realms where they can reach their respective afterlife. Or become a ghost. 

They are completely oblivious to the fact that there are now legends and entire temples dedicated to them now. Apparently accidental ascension is in fact a thing, as Dan later laughs at them about.

An important thing for modern readers just now following Dracula and his pals... back when the novel was written, hypnosis was a brand new, state of the art medical treatment. It was considered to be an amazing new thing that would revolutionize all fields of medicine once we learnt all about it. It's not apparent to us today, specially since we associate hypnosis more with grifters and stage magicians, but this is another instance of using high tech to combat supernatural evils.

An interesting thing is how the modern treatments shown in the novel kind of mirror the supernatural powers... Dracula's evil bloodsucking removes the life energy of a young lady, but our blood transfusions move it right back in. Dracula can force anyone to become subservient to his mind, but hypnosis allows Mina, who should be his thrall, to peer into his senses.

Anyway I also think it's funny that he ran away shouting 'you'll regret this, you whippersnappers!' then proceeded to skeedaddle out of the country

I've been doing a bit of research, and it turns out in New York City you are required to have at least seven years of experience to become certified as a "master plumber." A minimum of two of these years need to be spent as a "journeyman plumber," where you're licensed to repair pipes so long as you're working under the supervision of a master plumber.

Mario and Luigi can't legally run their business if they're both journeyman plumbers, but that would mean (if they are really both 24-25 like Shigeru Miyamoto says) at least one of them began training to be a plumber the instant he got out of high school. But if that's the case, how did they end up working in demolition?

My theory is that, since demolition companies sometimes locate and strip fixtures in commercial and residential properties for reuse or resale, plumbing fittings included, The Wrecking Crew hired the two plumbers-in-training to spot salvageable materials and take them apart. But if Foreman Spike happens to have a bone to pick and/or is on a power trip, I can easily imagine him adding hard labor on top of whatever plumbing-related jobs they were assigned until their schedule was filled with far more wrecking than plumbing.

But eventually, Mario got all his hours logged, passed his master plumber exam, got his commercial activity license, and got him and his brother the heck out of there. Which brings me to an additional theory that Luigi is still a journeyman plumber and not yet a master plumber.

There's a few bits of Nintendo lore that describe Luigi as something of an "understudy," or otherwise not quite as experienced as his brother in the realm of plumbing.

Which makes sense given the way Luigi seems to take on the apprentice role, closely watching the way Mario works and carrying around all the tools.

I think Luigi didn't immediately know what he wanted to do the moment he graduated high school the way Mario did. Maybe he dabbled in mechanics for a little bit before he ultimately decided to join his bro in his plumbing venture, but as a result he's a few years behind.

apparently a bunch of local shelters and overwhelmed cat rescues are partnering with some other rescues in maryland that have literal waiting lists of people that want cats. they're sending 108 cats across the country to find new homes in maryland and it made me so happy i had to share

Intruder in the System

Not sure how fast this is going to be coming out but here is the first page / title page of my next comic. Its a soft sci-fi story and if you couldn't guess from the title its about Plurality! The drafts are all completely done and it should be about 8 pages long ^^ hope y'all enjoy it as it comes out, im planning on getting the whole thing out within the next 2 weeks one page at a time!

Maybe on some deep, repressed level, but I think the thought is much too terrifying for him to really truly ponder for real. The sunk cost fallacy is strong. And besides, he still believes that this is what he was meant to do, he tunnel visioned to this life path pretty early on, and for all intents and purposes succeeded at it remarkably well.
