Yesterday evening, took apart my 8bitdo arcade stick and took notes as I was examining the parts and putting it back together.
This weekend I'll be rewatching some old reviews of the device from youtube creators i trust.
During this whole process I was mentally going over in my head how I would talk about it during a video.
Scope creep is a concern but for now I should worry more about having enough content to make for a video without having to spill tech specs or regurgitate other vids.
You can only rely on the gimmick of being a vtuber for so long

Best Fight Sticks For Fighting Games
Fighting games have been directly transferred from arcades of the past to the personal computer.
Few fighting games have a coherent story; instead, most of them have a set roster of base characters from which you can select warriors. You need the best fight sticks to play some of the titles like Mortal Combat, Street Fighter, Tekken and Calibur.
You will later have the chance to unlock more characters and supplementary content for them, such as their biographies and endings, outfits, weapons, and new fighting styles and abilities. This depends on the rounds you win and the manner in which you win them.
Few games have become the foundational platforms for fighting games in history like Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, and Soul Calibur. So because previous versions did not take advantage from the incredible graphical capabilities that modern PCs can give, many of these games have been remastered from their original forms.
Fighting game competitions are regularly held and give a range of prizes, from some hardware to different cash incentives.
The fundamental goal of the game is to fight your way to the summit of the pyramid—directly referencing Mortal Kombat—to become the greatest fighter. You accomplish this by learning a few combo moves that will help you win bouts that would later be challenging. Combinations of button presses produce an outstanding line of movements and combat manoeuvres.
Play some fighting games if you want to show a friend that you don't like him very much in a non-violent fashion. It's a terrific way to blow out some steam and deal out some pain.

Big Mouth Billy Bash.
He has unfortunately been instantly retired as he is an unstable fire hazard. May his one game of 3rd Strike be remembered fondly.
Advice for the next budding angler:
Bigger plaque.
Bigger fish.

the batfamily would NOT be on social media at all realistically, but of course tim loooooves photography, so i think he'd be a super dedicated scrapbook-mom type instead. (to compensate for the incredible instagram posts he WOULD make)
like, he's got books for each of his friends, one for each family member, and multiple for pictures of parts of the family and all of them together (although rare). he even has separate books for people in-costume and out-of-costume.
every christmas + birthday he recieves a loooooot of scrapbooking materials, he has draws of washi tape and stickers in his room.
he definitely tries his best to match the themes of the pages to the people in them too, and not one book has the same feel to it. he always writes very sincere little captions under the pictures as well. if he wasn't so attached to the books, he'd give them as gifts.

so since i’m actually getting to the point i can play on the arcade stick i own, i’m thinking i should actually start investing in it. which brings me to a question:
is anyone here familiar with repairing/replacing this part for the cable storage in the back of a madcatz te1? i’d like to keep this stick tbh since i like the weight of the case, and would like to mod it instead of replacing it with a newer model. any advice is appreciated!
