The Return…Of Boba Fett's Armor! - The Mandalorian: Chapter 14 (Season 2 Episode 6)
(❤️ this scene & dialogue)
Din Djarin: (Approaching Boba & Fennec) This is all that survived…(Shows them his Beskar spear) Boba Fett: (Instantly recognizing what the spear is made of) Beskar. Din Djarin: (Nods yes) Boba Fett: I want you to take a look at something….
Boba Fett: (Raises his left gauntlet & activates its holographic data read-out display. Looking at the holographic data, which is written in Mando'a….) Boba Fett: My chain code has been encoded in this armor for 25 years. (Indicating hologram) See, this is me…Boba Fett. Boba Fett: (Points at one holographic symbol) This is my father, Jango Fett. (Looks up from the display at Din Djarin)
Din Djarin: (Considering Boba's words, observing the display Boba has just shown him & hearing the name of Mandalorian Bounty Hunter Jango Fett….) Din Djarin: (Din immediately understands why this man has claimed the Mandalorian armor he is now wearing) Your father was a foundling.
Boba Fett: Yes. (Deactivates the display) He even fought in the Mandalorian Civil Wars. Din Djarin: Then that armor belongs to you. Boba Fett: (Nods yes) I appreciate it's return….
THIS scene confirmed SO much: *IS Jango a Mandalorian? YES! *DOES Boba read/understand Mando'a? Uh-huh! *DOES Boba Know his Mandalorian Heritage? Yup! *AFTER All of these years is Boba FINALLY shown on screen being a bad-a$$ with & without his Mandalorian Armor? HELL YES!!!
As a long-time fan of the Mando'ade/ Boba Fett/ Jango Fett/ Jaster Mereel/ True Mandalorians & a big fan of The Mandalorian, it was so satisfying to watch this episode & witness the above-referenced exchange between Din Djarin & Boba Fett.
Boba Fett IS canonically alive! It's official!
(AND this scene FINALLY shuts down all of the "Jango Fett really wasn't a Mandalorian" osik).

Take and Leave
Smooth, steel digits unfurled around her own- easily, and entirely eclipsed under the shadow they cast. Massive artificial joints flexed and retracted with an ease rivaling even that of human capacity. The familiar whirring of pistons underneath armored plates was now near impossible to discern from the cacophony of gunshots and voices echoing off what was left of the west wing rooftops. In her once empty palm rested a small USB stick that almost looked older than she was. Scratches of blue and orange on the long side obscured a logo that had once been printed on there, and a ball chain strand had been woven through a hole on the opposite end of the applicator. No label, no logo, but she had a hint to what it contained.
“L-Lanning, I…” her voice was hoarse, a couple decibels shy of a wheeze. “...is this…?”
She kept the hand extended in front of her, neither accepting nor rejecting the responsibility he was preparing to assign her. The chain tied through the device swayed in air that smelled of smoke and death, bursts of gunfire echoing off what was left of the rooftops.
“Listen.” A shudder ran through the floor under her feet, rivaling that of her own shivering as the mech dropped a knee to the ground, setting its single, rounded lens in her direction. He leaned in closer, the glass hovering inches away from her arm before the body completely stilled. But she didn’t waver, not even flinch.
“This is it, didn’t you say? Remember you told me?? There’s–! You’re–! They destroyed everything else!! There’s nothing left! There’s no coming back if you– you–”
On the smooth camera surface, the reflection of the woman standing amidst what was left of the third floor medical studio was not a forgiving one. An ugly frown creased the flesh of her cheeks around a quivering lower lip, filtering her words into a pathetic stutter. Streaks of blood painted her face and uniform. Some patches old, flaky and dry, some fresh, sticky, still wet.
“I’m not letting you do this. There’s people that need you, Lan… I…”
“No,” his artificial voice overpowered any resistance, leaving silence in its wake.
With a single finger, he pushed the hand holding the drive to her chest before she had the chance to throw it away. He knew just this gesture would be sufficient to express his command, but he still lingered there for a second more. Underneath the angled fingertip, kinetic sensors mapped a signature. Only until he felt bruised, bloodied fingers closing around the drive did he let up.
“Listen,” he repeated. “Not another living soul touches this. Not crew, not your mother, not the leader of the free world.”
“Just give me the fucking nuclear codes at this point! Anything but this!”
In her grip, the USB felt foreign. Flat corners dug into the heel of her palm, but the weathered edges inflicted no pain. She almost wished she’d been tasked to the Nautilean unit instead so she could crush it rather than submit to this decision she had no choice in.
“Please,” she pleaded, a sob hitched in her throat. “We’ve had our disagreements, and you’ve always been right. You’re always right, b-but just once just listen to me!”
It was almost poetic. A stubborn force against a static object. Back and forth until you couldn’t hear the screams any more. But as the booms of artillery intensified, it was clear who the victor would be. She took one second to breathe, struggling to gather her thoughts and hear her own voice with explosions dotting the sky every other second. And one second too much, as that was all it took for the robot to decide she’d lingered long enough.
“This is not a debate, this is an order. Go. Now.” Ignoring a handful of whitecoats that had paused along their escape route to take in the spectacle, he pinched the length of her tie that had been fluttering freely from the uniform jacket. The artificial voice, amplified by the size of its vessel easily commanded her attention, as well as that of the passing survivors.
Careful not to rip it straight off her neck, or drag her over the third floor edge, he tugged it closer as he quietly added,”and tuck this stupid thing in before you lose it.” In the vicinity of interested ears, it was unsure whether he was referring directly to the tie, or the USB of interest looped under her collar.
“As far as my detections yield, you are the last ones,” he announced to everyone now, raising his visor as if to affirm it with a final scan. “Endeavour has already departed. Supervisor Evans, I’ve rerouted you to the Pacer.”
Evans made himself known at the far end of the hallways as he fumbled with the tablet in his breast pocket. It bathed his face in a ghostly blue light, undoubtedly the site navigation UI that pretty much every staff had to reference daily. From the angle he held it in the crook of his arm, the path clearly outlined in red, blinking dashes affirmed the directions were received. Satisfied, the mech straightened its posture again, taking a step back to rise to its full height.
“They will not wait long. Run, there is nothing more to be salvaged here.”
HIIII yes im aware of the visual discrepancies between the images... lets just say this took a good week or two to actually finish. "finish." i dont like how it came out, but im glad i could finish it because WOW this has been a scene lingering in my head for a long time. better to draw than do nothing at all right. i could spend all day nitpicking everything i rendered wrong that i don't yet have the skillset to fix, but instead i am going to sleep before 2 am :)

LaDs Men with a Kaladin Stormblessed Coded Reader
AN: idc I really wanted to write this. And this is not perfect so I will write more. No one hold me back. I fucking love Kaladin Stormblessed.
Pairing: LaDS boys x gn reader (Kaladin coded)
Ingredients: 100% honor, 100% angst.
My Fav: Rafayel. Because I like bitter love interests.
(I do not own any of these characters. Literally nothing. Don't sue me please)
Xavier:
The battle was over. The ground was slick with blood. And you...you stood swaying in the center of it all, torn open, barely breathing, but still shielding the fallen behind you.
You hadn’t fought for yourself. You hadn’t even hesitated.
When Xavier reached you, he didn’t speak. He didn’t scold. He just looked at you, at the jagged wound slicing across your side, at the blood pooling at your feet.
How dare you. How dare you value your life so little. How dare you give yourself away so easily, as if it meant nothing.
He carried you back. His armor stained, his gloves slipping slick with your blood, and still, he never once let you go.
Not when the healers came. Not when the others whispered. Not even when you, half-delirious, tried to push him away.
Later, after the chaos settled, he found you again, stitched, bandaged, asleep and pale in your tent.
And he knelt. Sword drawn, point resting against the ground. Head bowed. An oath. Not for a king. Not for a kingdom. For you.
"Next time," Xavier said, voice low, cracking at the edges, "bleed for yourself first." His hand tightened on the hilt. "I’ll be there to cover the rest."
Rafayel:
"There must be another way," you said, loud enough to halt even the bloodthirstiest of the court. "If we flood the lands of the living, we bury not only our enemies... but ourselves."
A scoff split the air.
Yorrick’s voice thundered across the tent, thick with disdain. "And what would you know of it, General?" He spat your title like it tasted foul. "You, who have never worn chains. You, who speaks of mercy for those who would slay your own kin?"
You should have been afraid. You were not. Instead, your gaze slid past Yorrick, and found him. Rafayel.
High Prince of Lemuria. Silent at the head of the war table. Watching.
"You think blood will cleanse blood?" you said, voice steady. "Who has ever bound the sea? Who has ever forced the tide to obey?" You stepped forward, every word a hammerblow.
"Even water trapped in water skin finds its way back to the ocean. Bodies can be enslaved. Minds…" Your eyes locked with his. "Minds cannot."
A tense silence fell. Yorrick’s hand twitched toward his blade.
Rafayel moved. The sea answered him. A gust of salt wind tore through the war tent as the High Prince rose, the gold of his robes whispering along the floor.
"Enough," he said, voice a low roll of thunder. Yorrick froze. The council froze.
But Rafayel wasn’t looking at them. He was looking only at you.
"You think to lecture me on captivity?" he said, and each word landed like a dagger in the gut. "You think to remind me what it means to have chains set to bone, and salt stuffed in the wounds?"
He descended the steps. Every movement a tide pulling the world with him.
"I was broken," he said, softly now, and somehow that was worse. "And you would have me thank them for it?"
For a long moment, there was only the sound of the sea, restless beyond the walls of the tent.
Then you lowered your gaze, but your voice carried clear and sure: "What better are we than mortals," you said, "if we seek the same ruin in our vengeance, my prince?" You bent your knee. Bowed low before him.
"It is not your nature to destroy," you murmured. "Yours is a soul made for creation."
Zayne:
"Traitor," they called you.
Shunned you from the world of the living. Cast you out into the mist. No longer a person, but a shadow. A sprite.
Your crime: offering mercy to the broken souls of the fallen wanderers. Your sin: seeking redemption for the lost. Bringing back their souls to some peace.
But you became one of them.
Had you been wrong? Had your hands, reaching out in hope, only dragged more souls into ruin?
Zayne saw it all.
Any sane man would have let you fall. Would have watched, silent and grieving, as the world devoured your unyielding heart.
He could have stayed. He was a cardiologist respected, revered. He could have saved hundreds, maybe thousands, safe behind the walls of the world you abandoned.
But he did not. He could not.
When the world turned its back on you. Zayne chose to turn his back on the world. If your fate was to fall, then he would fall with you.
Without hesitation. Without regret. Without ever looking back.
Sylus:
A foot soldier with a rusted spear stood before the dragon. Sent alone to slay the beast that noble knights refused to face. They sent you instead.
Sylus snorted, even in his dragon form, smoke curling from his nostrils. He had enough mind left to know the difference between prey... and bait.
Your death would not glorify him. It would strip him of his title as a noble beast. Seal his mountain in shame. Mark him forever a monster.
So he waited, crouched in the gloom, calculating how best to rid himself of this wretched mortal without bloodshed.
He was still scheming when you moved.
Without hesitation, you stepped forward, and snapped the rusted spear against your own thigh, the brittle wood cracking in two.
Sylus stilled, stunned, as you dropped the broken pieces at his feet like an offering. "I shall not harm you, old dragon of Philos," you said, your voice carrying clean and sure through the cavern's heavy air. "I will return to my world. No harm shall come to yours."
You looked at him eyes steady, unafraid. Clearer than any mortal he had ever seen. Perhaps that was what a foolish, fragile kind of morality did to a mortal body. Made it stubborn. Made it beautiful.
Sylus shifted, his great head lowering, his molten crimson gaze fixing you in place. "They will hunt you instead," he rumbled, the cavern trembling with the force of his voice. "An ineffective bait is a discarded one." There was something like mirth in his tone. A low, curling amusement.
How could he not savor this moment? It was not every day the Creator bestowed upon the world a mortal so foolish, and so brave, that even a dragon found himself... entertained.
Caleb:
You refused to step foot in the town where your failure lay. The charred remains of your once home.
You had failed to save him. Failed to protect him.
The nightmares of the fire still haunted you, licking at the edges of your sleep, dragging you back to that day, again and again.
You had let the fire take Caleb from you. You, who fought for the world, who swore to guard it, had lost the one soul you should have shielded most.
It was always the same. Anyone you sought to protect... was taken from you.
Just like Caleb had been.
You went through the motions of life after. Fighting wanderers. Mining protocores for the Hunter’s Association. A hollow blade wielded by a hollow hand.
But no matter how many beasts you struck down, no matter how deep you buried yourself in work, there was no victory.
Only smoke. Only ashes. And a heart torn apart by its own hand.
"Forgive me," you whisper to the night sky, over and over on lonely nights. "Forgive me, Caleb," you repeat, tears slipping down your cheeks.
"I failed, Grandma. I'm sorry." Your voice cracks as you look up, searching the stars for answers that never come.

The urge to write about Sir David Walker burns like an unshakable fire.
Knight! hesh!
MDNI
A knight of unwavering loyalty, he carries himself with the noble grace of a natural-born leader. Time after time, as he removes his iron helmet, the details of his face come into sharper focus. His pale skin contrasts strikingly with the deep green of his eyes, and as the strands of his jet-black hair fall free, they frame his features with an almost effortless elegance. Each glimpse of him without the armor only reveals more of the man beneath—the warrior, the leader, the legend.
Each time he kneels before the king, one hand pressed firmly over his heart, it is as if he is making an unspoken vow—one of unwavering sacrifice, of blood and sweat pledged to whatever land he stands upon. His voice, low and steady, carries the weight of his devotion, each word dripping with formal reverence and gratitude. There is no hesitation, no faltering; only the ironclad promise of a knight who lives and breathes duty.
But then, with a voice like silk, you summon him to the king’s chambers. He approaches with the grace of a knight, but the moment his eyes meet yours, his entire demeanor shifts. His green eyes, once steady and fierce, now lower in respect, his body instinctively dropping to one knee before you, his hand over his heart in silent oath.
“Your grace,” he says, his voice unwavering yet soft, as if to show no weakness.
You lead him forward, your steps deliberate. He follows—trusting, obedient—until the door shuts behind him with a cold, final click.
He freezes.
His eyes flicker to the door, then back to you, realization dawning in his chest like a heavy weight. This isn’t the king’s room. This is yours.
A rush of fear surges through him, and for a fleeting moment, he is lost—unsure, afraid of what might unfold. He tries to mask it, standing tall, shoulders stiff, as if the knight within him could withstand whatever shadow looms in this room. But the tremor in his breath betrays him.
“Your grace,” he murmurs again, more softly now, his voice cracking with the first hint of doubt, “there must be a mistake. This...is not the majesy's chamber.”
He had endured countless wars, his body marked with scars from swords and battles fought. But this—this was something he had never prepared for. The weight of his loyalty, the trust he had sworn to the king, was a code he would never break. And yet, here, in this room with you, the line between duty and desire blurred.
He could feel the tension coiling in his chest, a knot of fear and respect warring within him. He knew what you wanted. He knew what you were offering. But this was not a challenge he had ever faced before. Behind the king’s back, it felt like treason. His loyalty was a chain, binding him to honor, to the trust that had been placed in him. And yet, in the face of your advances, that chain felt suffocating.
“Your grace, please...” His voice cracked slightly, but he quickly masked it, forcing himself back into formality. His hands trembled, but they remained at his sides, trying not to betray the turmoil in his heart. “This is... beyond my duty. This is a step I cannot take.”
You were so close now. He could feel the heat of your presence, the whisper of your breath against his skin. And then, it happened. You kissed his cheek—soft, gentle pecks—tracing his jawline with delicate affection. His body stiffened at the touch. His breath caught in his throat, his mind screaming to pull away, to step back. But respect, honor, duty—they all held him in place, even as his heart raced.
“I... I cannot,” he whispered, his voice strained, desperate to remain the knight he had always been. His eyes closed for a moment, trying to block out the overwhelming presence of your proximity. “Please, my lady... I cannot touch you. Not like this. It would dishonor my place, the king’s trust... my oath.”
Even as he said it, the struggle was evident in the tension of his muscles, the way his jaw clenched. He didn’t want to hurt you, but the lines of loyalty and respect were drawn too firmly for him to ignore. Yet his body, betraying him in its every moment of restraint, could not help but tremble at the closeness, at the kiss that lingered too long, too near.
You could see the hesitation in his eyes, the strain in his every movement. His honor, his oath—it was all he had, all he was. But you could feel the weight of your desires, pulling you closer to him, drawing you into this forbidden game.
“Don’t fight it, David,” you whispered softly, your breath warm against his ear. You reached out, brushing a lock of his black hair away, letting your fingers linger against his skin. “I know you want this. I know you feel it too.”
His body trembled, his every instinct screaming for him to pull away, to retreat. But you were relentless, your hands tracing his jawline, your fingertips grazing the steel of his armor, so close—so close to touching the man beneath. His breath hitched, and the words that escaped his lips were nothing more than a breathless murmur.
“Please... my lady...” His voice was low, almost desperate, but his eyes never left the floor. “This is... I cannot—”
You cut him off, your hand now gently resting against his chest, feeling the rapid thrum of his heartbeat beneath your palm. “You think I don't see the way your body betrays you?” you purred, inching closer until your lips were almost on his. “I know what you want. I know how this feels for you.”
He flinched, a quick, sharp movement, as though your touch burned him, and yet there was a part of him—no matter how much he fought it—that wanted to stay. Wanted to let go of the chains of duty and fall into the heat of the moment with you. But this... this wasn’t him. This wasn’t how he had been trained. He was a knight—loyal, honorable, untouched by such temptations.
“I cannot...” His words faltered again, his hands clenching into fists at his sides. “Not like this. I’m sworn... I am sworn to the king. To my vows.”
“You think I don’t know that?” You smirked, your voice dripping with both amusement and longing. Your hands slid across his chest, feeling the firmness of his muscles beneath the fabric. “But I also know what you truly crave, David. You don't need to be a knight for this... not with me.”
His body recoiled, every muscle taut with resistance, but his mind was fighting a battle he had never known. The voice inside him screamed to pull away, to hold onto his duty, but there was something else—a new, unfamiliar ache that surged within him every time your fingers brushed his skin, every time you closed the distance between you.
“Please,” he whispered, his voice a raw plea as he struggled to back away, to put space between you. But the room was too small, the door locked. There was no escape. No way out. And as he looked into your eyes, he knew he was fighting a losing battle.
“You think you can just walk away from this?” you whispered, your hand sliding from his chest to his neck, fingers gently curling around his jaw as you tilted his head up. His body trembled beneath your touch, but still, he couldn’t find the strength to stop you. His green eyes darted to yours, full of uncertainty, a silent plea for mercy. He didn’t know how to say no—not to you, not to the heat building between you both.
“Let me show you, David,” you murmured, your lips ghosting over his as you leaned in closer, your hands tugging at his armor, loosening it just enough to feel the warmth of his skin against yours. “Let me show you that surrender isn’t weakness... it’s freedom.”
His breath was ragged, the knight’s resolve breaking piece by piece, and yet, in the back of his mind, the training, the vows, screamed at him to resist. But his body—his body told a different story. He had never been in a situation like this. He didn’t know how to pull away anymore. The lines had blurred, the honor he had spent years protecting now felt like a distant echo, drowned out by the weight of your touch and the unspoken promise in your eyes.
Then, it happened.
As if your touch was the spark to a flame that had been smoldering too long, you closed the space between you, your lips finally meeting his in a kiss that was both gentle and forceful, tentative yet inevitable. For a moment, Hesh was frozen, his body rigid, fighting every instinct he had ever known. His mind screamed to pull away, to hold onto the duty that had defined him for so long.
But your lips were soft, persistent, and he couldn't deny the pull. His heart raced in a chaotic rhythm that mirrored the storm of emotions inside him. He wanted to resist, but with each press of your lips against his, a part of him crumbled. His hands twitched, unsure whether to push you away or pull you closer. The kiss deepened, slow and deliberate, and he felt the weight of it—every hesitation, every unspoken word.
And then, something inside him gave.
His hands, once clenched tight, finally reached for you, trembling at first, then firmer, as though the walls of his resolve were falling. He could taste the hesitation in the kiss, the battle between loyalty and desire, but it was too much—too overwhelming. His lips parted, and he kissed you back, not as a knight, but as a man. A man who had never known this kind of hunger, this kind of need.
The kiss was more than just a meeting of lips; it was a crossing of boundaries, a surrender to something neither of you could fully control. His body reacted instinctively, pulling you closer, his hands finding their way to your waist, his breath shallow against your skin as he fought to regain his composure.
But it was too late. The moment had taken root, and nothing in the world could undo it. He had crossed the line, and there was no going back.

The Human Supercomputer:
Built, Maintained, and Programmed by Mother Nature
The Brain You Didn’t Earn, But Get to Use Anyway
Ever heard of typoglycemia? No, it’s not a disease—it’s a flex that proves your brain is an unstoppable supercomputer. You can read this perfectly:
👉 "Aoccdrnig to rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn’t mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae."
Did you struggle? Nope. Your brain didn’t even break a sweat.
That’s because Mother Nature programmed you for maximum efficiency. She didn’t waste time making you read letter by letter like a dumbass. No, she built you to see patterns, adapt instantly, and dominate the competition.
This isn’t magic. It’s evolution’s biggest middle finger to every other species.
The No-Fucks-Given Predator That Rules the Food Chain
Humanity didn’t start at the top.
We were tree-dwelling cowards, terrified to come down because literally everything on Earth was stronger than us.
We had no fangs, no claws, no armor.
But we had one thing no other species did—a brain that wouldn’t quit.
Fast forward a few million years: ✔ Tigers? We turned them into rugs. ✔ Wolves? Now they shit on leashes for us. ✔ Whales? We used them for lamp oil before we got bored and moved on.
Meanwhile, every other species is still doing the same dumb shit they were doing a million years ago.
Humans? We invented nukes, Wi-Fi, and Taco Bell.
That’s why we run this planet.
If It Breathes, We Dominate It
If another species so much as steps up, here’s what happens: ✔ We slap its dick into the dirt. ✔ We burn down its home, AND the trees around it, just to send a message. ✔ We put its offspring in a zoo to perform tricks for us. ✔ We figure out how to eat it—starting with its mountain oysters.
(For the uninitiated, that’s testicles. We deep-fry their balls and charge $12.99 a plate.)
🚨 Rent’s Due, Bitches. 🚨
Your Brain is the Ultimate Cheat Code
You think a lion is scary? We built tanks. You think a shark is dangerous? We drain oceans to build resorts. You think an eagle is majestic? We trained them to carry our mail.
While other species fight to survive, we: ✔ Launch ourselves into space just to flex. ✔ Invent laws that say we "can’t punch each other"—then do it anyway. ✔ Domesticate wild animals, then dress them in sweaters.
Mother Nature didn’t just give us tools—she built us into the tool. Our brain processes patterns, spots weaknesses, and exploits them. That’s why we don’t just survive—we own everything.
Test Your Supercomputer: Can You Read These?
If your brain is as overpowered as I think it is, try these out:
👉 "Olny smrat poelpe can raed tihs." 👉 "Yuo cna gvie a tigrer fngas, but he wlil slitl be in a cgae." 👉 "A torkey deid for yuor Tnakshigvni dinnre, but tehn aigan, so did the Indnias."
(If you just read all of those with zero problems—congrats, you are a goddamn machine.)
Now think about that.
A tiger needs strength to kill. We just made a fucking rifle.

The Golden Egg Drop
It began on Easter Sunday, when the estates of East London shimmered with a strange, hypnotic glow. Moving through the concrete jungle came a squad of golden-skinned, swaggering young men — the Golden Chavs. Decked out in dazzling metallic tracksuits, heavy chains, and flawless fades, they strode with purpose, their every step echoing confidence and power. They were more than fashion icons. They were the vanguard of change.

And they carried the tools of transformation: Gold Easter eggs.
Each egg pulsed with a warm glow, perfectly smooth, humming softly with energy. They weren’t for eating. These eggs cracked open destinies. Inside was no yolk, no prize — just a swirling, fragrant mist of molten brilliance that wrapped around minds and rewrote them with a single, unspoken code:
“Loyalty. Drip. Unity. Gold.”
The Golden Chavs began their operation in the heart of the manor — football pitches, gyms, barbershops, pub fronts — anywhere young men gathered. With relaxed confidence, they walked among their targets, offering the golden eggs casually.

“Safe, bruv. You drop this?” one of them said, sliding an egg into a lad’s hoodie pocket as if it belonged there.
Another nodded toward a group of mates lounging near the offie. “Easter gift, init. Straight blessings.”

Curious hands tapped the eggs. Some cracked under pressure, some were opened by intrigued fingers — and the moment they released their mist, the air itself shimmered.
The mist wasn’t just smoke — it thought. It moved with purpose, sinking into its chosen vessels. Muscles tensed. Spines straightened. Tracksuits shimmered gold over old denim. Trainers reformed into sleek golden kicks. Rings materialized on fingers, and thick chains settled like armor around necks. Hair snapped into razor-sharp fades.
And their eyes — once dull or distracted — now gleamed with the calm certainty of those who knew who they were.
The transformed looked at each other and smirked. Heads tilted. Swag unlocked. They didn’t need instructions — the vibe was instinct.

Together, they turned toward their former mates, still unconverted. Their pockets full of eggs, their mission clear.
Not everyone accepted the eggs right away. Some hesitated. Some protested. But the pressure of belonging… the lure of power… the pull of gold… it always won out in the end.
A particularly vocal holdout, a gym trainer named Lewis, tried to rally others.
“You lot are mad. You can’t just go around changing people—”
He didn’t get far.

A gold-clad chav stepped forward, placed a gleaming egg firmly in Lewis’s hand, and said simply:
“Transformation’s a gift, fam. Just breathe it in.”
The egg cracked.

Lewis stood still for a moment. Then his shirt liquefied into a golden puffer. Rings emerged, teeth gleamed. He flexed, rolled his neck, and nodded slowly.
“Yeah… that’s proper, still.”

By nightfall, the borough was glowing. Rooftops flashed gold from far away. Young men leaned on doorframes, bobbing their heads to low basslines. Eggs changed hands in handshakes, fist bumps, and subtle gestures. Every conversion added another link to the chain — and every chain pulled tighter.
No one resisted for long.
And every Easter since, the gold eggs return. Not in baskets. But in pockets. In palms. In promises. For those ready to glow.

I still think it's v interesting how Jarlaxle is extremely coded even in his first appearances as like, "I am Not Straight In The Slightest but it's the 90s and IP fiction so we can't say that" to the reader, but by the standards of his own culture, he's like, masculine-as-performance because drow men are expected to be ornamental. Like why yes, he is the Most Ornamental Man In Menzo, thank you for asking, do you not enjoy him? But he's so ornamental and decorative!
He was swaggering—there was no other word to describe him. The dark elves of Menzoberranzan, particularly the lowly males, normally donned quiet, practical clothes, dark-hued robes adorned with spiders or webs, or plain black jerkins beneath supple chain mail armor, and almost always, both male and female drow wore camouflaging piwafwis, dark cloaks that could hide them from the probing eyes of their many enemies.
Not so with Jarlaxle. His head was shaven and always capped by an outrageous wide-brimmed hat feathering the gigantic plume of a diatryma bird. In lieu of a cloak or robe, he wore a shimmering cape that flickered through every color of the spectrum, both in light and under the scrutiny of heat-sensing eyes looking in the infrared range. His sleeveless vest was cut high to show the tight muscles of his stomach, and he carried an assortment of rings and necklaces, bracelets, even anklets, that chimed gratingly—but only when the mercenary wanted them to. Like his boots, which had sounded so clearly on the hard chapel floor, the jewelry could be silenced completely.
I think you could write a lot about how including Jarlaxle in the second book of the OG prequels implies a lot about what 'ideal masculinity/ideal presentation in the eyes of Menzoberranzan society' vs 'masculinity as an individual performance ' looks like.
#legend of drizzt#the fact that jarlaxle is brightly coloured to contrast with both the sober tones of every other drow#and because men are expected to try and make themselves invisible#the fact that 'being confident' is not a trait people are fond of seeing in men when it comes to Menzo social standards

Regular Army and Division 6 Machines
The SV-000 is a gunmetal grey tankette, serving as a prototype version of the SV-001, which briefly saw action during the Arms Deal Barrage. It was the first Slug to be successfully constructed from salvaged Tuatha Dé Danann technology, a design approach that would later become a hallmark of other Slugs, including the Slug Gunner, Drill Slug, and Astro Slug. It also set the precedent for all Slugs that it can perform a highly damaging suicide attack called a Frontal Attack, which involves the driver jumping out of the vehicle, and it subsequently exploding upon impact with the enemy. However, it was quickly discontinued due to a critical design flaw: the hatch became extremely difficult to exit when the unit sustained sufficient damage to trigger self-destruction.
The remaining SV-000 units were either destroyed and repurposed for the development of the SV-001 or had their source code stolen by the Amadeus Syndicate, who stored it in their secure cyberspace vault. Only one SV-000 is confirmed to still exist and remain operational, and it's currently in the possession of Red Eye. Notably, unlike its successor, the SV-000 could rapidly change direction with minimal delay.
The SV-001 Metal Slug is a silver tankette and the first fully functional Super Vehicle developed by the Regular Army, following the discontinuation of the SV-000. They were swiftly mass produced after the sudden Rebel Army attack on President Marx's defence facility, stockpiling the advanced tanks in their caches with hopes to launch a massive assault against the mysterious Rebels once the time came. During the Great Morden War, the Rebel Army launched a massive global assault on the Regular Army. Despite prior warnings from the Intelligence Agency, corrupt higher-ups within the Regular Army's chain of command ignored the alerts, leaving their forces vulnerable to the Rebel Army's superior numbers and advanced technologies.
In response, the Regular Army planned a massive counterattack, deploying advanced tanks codenamed “Metal Slug”. These tanks were originally designed to support regular army soldiers and special forces operatives, particularly in high-intensity combat situations. However, Rebel spies discovered the project, and many SV-001s were captured during a crushing attack. With many government and military powers in disarray, the surviving members of the Regular Army high command and Lieutenant Marco Rossi assembled a team consisting of Tarma Roving, Tequila, Gimlet, Red Eye, and scattered Regular troops they could muster to launch a desperate counterattack. Their mission was to retrieve the stolen Metal Slugs, destroying them if necessary to prevent the Rebel Army from utilising them. Fortunately, enough tanks were recovered for use in the final assault, ultimately leading to the end of the Great Morden War.
The SV-001 continued to serve the Regular Army in various major conflicts, including the White Baby Crisis and the Martian Takeover. While the tank boasts impressive technical details, its design has two significant flaws: its height and top-heavy weight distribution, which can cause it to tip over, especially when firing the 127mm low-pressure rifled main cannon. Additionally, the tank's high radar cross-section makes it vulnerable to high-speed guided missiles. Rumours suggest that some individuals received SV-001s with a faulty hatch mechanism. This defect reportedly made it challenging for operators to exit the vehicle quickly after initiating its suicide attack mode, commonly referred to as a "Metal Slug Attack". It relies on gas to remain operational and is capable of firing two types of ammunition: high-velocity Armor Piercer (AP) shells that travel in a straight line, and standard Gnome Bullets, which are low-velocity, arcing shells.
The SV-001 Type-R is an upgraded version of the SV-001, boasting faster movement and higher jumping capabilities than its predecessor. It retains the unique capabilities of the SV-000 and draws design inspiration from the elusive SV-002 project, which was scrapped by the Regular Army engineers and higher-ups. The SV-001 Type-R is often mistaken for the SV-002 because it's considered the closest successor to the original SV-001 that the Regular Army is willing to invest time and resources into.
It features a pair of gun pods, replacing the original 12.6mm Vulcans. Each pod is equipped with a high-speed machine gun and a rocket launcher. The machine guns support various ammunition types, including standard rounds, shotgun shells, and flame shot fuel. Additionally, the main cannon has a smaller bore, allowing for extended range and increased accuracy. The shells fired from the SV-001 Type-R's cannon travel farther and with greater precision than the 127mm high-explosive shells used in the original. However, these advanced features come at a higher production cost, making the SV-001 Type-R a rare sight compared to standard tanks.
The SVW-001 Slug Gunner represents the ultimate evolution of the SV-001. Developed by Regular Army engineers, its design was influenced by the Rebel Army's LV Armor blueprints, which were stolen during the White Baby Crisis, as well as firsthand observations of the Ptolemaic Army's Units during the Martian Takeover. It boasts a unique transformative capability, switching between mech and tank forms. Its arsenal includes a massive 180mm cannon, a 60mm 7-barrel minigun, and a jet booster that enables high jumps and double jumps. Additionally, The Slug Gunner features a pile bunker for close-quarters combat, utilising a revolver-like mechanism with six cartridges to amplify its blows.
While it excels in firepower, its mobility is hindered by a cumbersome design. In mech mode, it moves at an extremely slow pace, although crawling slightly improves its speed. The minigun's range of motion is also limited, restricting it to firing in the direction the Slug Gunner is facing or directly above. However, the minigun can spread its shots to partially compensate for its inability to fire diagonally.
The SVX-15D Slugnoid is a bipedal mechanized Super Vehicle designed for combat in challenging terrain, developed by Regular Army engineers. Equipped with rocket boosters, it can jump to exceptional heights. Its primary armament consists of two 12.6mm Vulcans attached to each side, capable of rotating 360° and firing in different directions simultaneously, although mastering this capability requires practice. The secondary weapon is an incendiary shell fired from its frontal 120mm cannon, located in the pelvic area, which excels at decimating enemy troops. However, the Slugnoid is slow, cumbersome, and loses control whenever one of its Vulcan cannons gets hit.
As secondary ammunition, most Slugnoids carry alternate versions of the iron lizard bombs, humorously nicknamed "fat lizards". These devices resemble bipedal, white cartoon bombs with legs and charge towards enemies, occasionally pausing to "catch their breath" before resuming their attack. They may also randomly trip and explode prematurely.
There are several Slugnoid variants: Slugnoid Type-CS, Slugnoid Type-R, and Slugnoid Type-B. The Slugnoid Type-CS is a bronze-painted version with weak armour, used exclusively for Combat School training to teach cadets and recruits how to operate the Slugnoid with minimal damage. The Slugnoid Type-R is a red-painted version with a reverse-functioning Vulcan, equipped only with fat lizard bombs. The Slugnoid Type-B is a blue-painted version with enhanced jumping capabilities compared to the standard model.
The Slug Trolley, also referred to as the Slug Truck, is a specialised vehicle developed by the Regular Army for rail-based operations. Essentially a customised mine cart, it is equipped with a Vulcan gun for defensive purposes. One of its notable features is the ability to attach additional wagons, which are capable of firing cannon rounds that travel in an arc. However, these wagons have weaker armour compared to the main cart, making them more vulnerable to enemy fire. The main cart has an open, windowless compartment that allows the operator to observe their surroundings. Operators must remain vigilant because the open design makes them susceptible to enemy attacks, particularly from snipers.
The Metal Claw, also known as the Metal Crow, is a light tank destroyer vehicle that resembles the T-2B Melty Honey but is painted a deep metallic blue. The pilot controls the vehicle from within but has the option to be exposed, providing a better view of what's in front of and behind them. It's designed to move alongside other tanks and provide supporting fire. It features the same spiked plate for protection and missile launcher as the Melty Honey, along with the Vulcan cannons from the Metal Slug. Additionally, the missile launcher has the capability to fire shotgun shells. It was created by the Amadeus Syndicate shortly after their newly formed alliance with the Regular Army, serving as a gift to symbolise their newfound allegiance. The Rebel Army later used the Metal Claw as design inspiration for the T-2B Melty Honey, enhancing its armour since the original had relatively weak protection.
The SV-Camel is an animal-based vehicle that offers its rider some protection in the form of a fruit-filled basket. It's also the first known vehicle in the “Animal Ride" series of Slugs. Developed by Regular Army engineers following the Great Modern War, its purpose was to reduce dependence on the SV-001. From their perspective, utilising animals provided a stealth advantage on the battlefield. The dromedary camel boasts impressive speed and is equipped with two 14mm Vulcan cannons. The SV-Camel is primarily deployed in desert environments.
The Elephant Slug is an animal-based vehicle and the second known animal used in the “Animal Ride" series of Slugs. Although it's very slow and can only jump to a very short height, it provides its rider with a high profile, offering some protection. It's equipped with a pair of 16mm Vulcans, but its genetic modification for combat enables it to access additional firepower. By consuming chili peppers or a car battery, the African elephant gains the ability to breathe fire or shoot lightning from its proboscis. The Elephant Slug is primarily deployed in cold and tropical environments.
The Ostrich Slug is an animal-based vehicle that lacks visible protection. It's the second known vehicle in the “Animal Ride" series of Slugs, closely tied to the Donkey Slug. It's a genetically modified common ostrich with enhanced speed and jumping capabilities, allowing it to effortlessly clear large chasms. It comes equipped with a pair of 12.6mm Vulcans, which have a limited firing arc of 180°.
The Donkey Slug is an animal-based vehicle with a lack of visible protection. Essentially a miniature donkey with 13mm Vulcan cannons attached to its sides, it's characterised by its slow movement and weak jump. A wooden carriage with a cannon mounted on top can be hitched to the Vulcan cannons. This cannon functions similarly to those on an SV-001. The Donkey Slug is primarily used in underdeveloped countries, particularly those relying on donkeys for transportation and agricultural purposes.
The SVX-22UG Drill Slug is a specialised drilling machine designed for tunnel excavation, developed shortly after the successful deployment of the Slug Digger during the Invader Conquest. For defence, the drill is equipped with 12.6mm Vulcans for long-range engagements. In close combat, an expendable 400mm heavy-duty bore drill on the chassis automatically activates when contacted. Although it's relatively slow and unable to jump, its ability to elevate the cockpit provides a higher profile and helps evade incoming fire from below. However, operators must remain cautious because the Drill Slug remains vulnerable to certain attacks, such as acid and explosives.
The Protogunner is a prototype of the Slug Gunner, developed for testing purposes and briefly deployed during the Invader Conquest before being swiftly discontinued. Regular Army engineers created the Protogunner using the Rebel Army's LV Armor schematics as a starting point for designing a new Super Vehicle. This prototype would eventually evolve into the Slug Gunner before the events of the Ptolemaic Emergence. Initially designated as the SVW-001 Slug Gunner Prototype, its lengthy name led many to adopt the simplified codename "Protogunner" for convenience.
Due to its prototype status, it offers limited protection to its operator, leaving them vulnerable to attacks from above and the sides. Additionally, it lacks a melee attack, relying solely on its ranged weaponry. However, the Protogunner boasts superior speed and maneuverability compared to the finalised Slug Gunner's mech mode. It's equipped with the Slug Gunner's 180mm multiple cannon on its front, supplemented by a pair of 10mm Vulcan cannons on its sides. Although its body has partial invincibility, it remains susceptible to destruction by anti-tank ammunition and explosions. A notable feature of this Super Vehicle is its ability to perform an automatic Vulcan Fix, locking its side-mounted Vulcans in place. This allows the operator to move the Protogunner while continuously firing without adjusting the Vulcans.
The Slug Digger is a versatile, multi-purpose vehicle that serves as both a subterranean digger and a helicopter. Rapidly developed by the Regular Army and Rebel Army, its primary objective was to infiltrate the Invaders' underground hive. The Slug Digger features retractable drills on its left, right, and bottom sides, enabling it to excavate the earth. Additionally, it's equipped with two 16mm Vulcan cannons that can fire bullets capable of tearing through dirt. Notably, its cannon shots deploy mines that remain in place until triggered by enemy contact or subsequent gunfire.
The Walking Machine is a crawling Slug designed for exploration purposes, originally derived from a haunted amusement park animatronic resembling a humanoid, quadruped zombie. It was redesigned to mimic the appearance of the Mutated Soldier, but with distinct features such as a rotating light on top of its head, a muscular build, and an exposed battery on its back. The operator rides astride the Walking Machine, holding onto reins connected to its cheeks. Its lower profile provides some degree of evasion, and it can jump higher than most Slugs.
There are two variants of the Walking Machine: the Special Walking Machine and Walk Machine Type-B. The Special Walking Machine is a sleeker variant with a different head design and horns serving as handles. Notably, its pair of 14mm Vulcans has been replaced by a Gatling gun inside its mouth. The Walk Machine Type-B is an unmanned, red version of the Special Walking Machine, designed for underground exploration. Although heavily armoured, it relies on a Mobile Satellite deployed from a hatch on its back and a flamethrower inside its mouth. Additionally, it boasts an impressive jumping ability, surpassing that of its predecessors.
The RA-TTT (Regular Army Troop Transport Truck), also referred to as the Regular Army Truck, is a transport vehicle utilised by the Regular Army for deploying troops to the battlefield. Initially, the vehicle featured a simple rifle green colour scheme, but it was later updated with a camouflage woodland pattern prior to the events of the Martian Takeover.
The TIAF600 Slug Mobile, also known as the Wagon Slug and Metal Express, is a modified version of the TIAF 660, a popular civilian vehicle renowned for its compact design. During the conflict in Gerhardt City, the Rebel Army utilised numerous TIAF 660s as road barriers due to their widespread availability. The Regular Army soon took notice and salvaged several TIAF 660s shortly after capturing General Morden to revamp the model for their own purposes. Initially, engineers aimed to transform the TIAF 600s into a heavily armoured transport vehicle with advanced weaponry. However, they were instructed to retain the original design and instead equip it with 14mm Vulcans on the sides and an RPG. Due to time constraints, the engineers had to work quickly, and the resulting vehicle was codenamed the "Slug Mobile".
It boasts impressive speed and jumping capabilities, performing well on roads but struggling with off-road handling. Its Vulcan cannons provide effective defence against aircraft, while the guided RPG under the front hood offers some anti-armour defence. However, the hastily implemented upgrades, particularly the Vulcan's ammo and boosting system, have increased the vehicle's risk of catching fire.
The SVF-07V Slug Flyer is a Super Vehicle designed for aerial combat, developed by Regular Army engineers. Its VTOL capabilities provide excellent maneuverability. However, its H-AV-5963 Revision Vulcans have limited range with restricted firing angles. The aircraft is also equipped with short-range air-to-air AIM-9A missiles, which, although powerful, require time to accelerate after deployment. When dismounting from an airborne Slug Flyer, operators can descend via parachute or utilise Regular Army Jetpack Gear.
Initially, prior to and during the Arms Deal Barrage, the aircraft lacked Vulcans, restricting its firepower to horizontal forward shooting. Its secondary weapons were limited to drop bombs and homing missiles. In response to pilot and technician feedback, the Slug Flyer underwent upgrades, incorporating Vulcans and enhanced secondary weaponry.
The SVH-03 Slug Copter, also known as the Slug Chopper, is an attack helicopter Super Vehicle developed by the Regular Army shortly after the Arms Deal Barrage. Key features of the Slug Copter include dual H-AV-5963 Revision Vulcan cannons with 360° rotation capability and high-damage bombs effective against ground targets, but ineffective against aerial targets. Notably, there have been reports of pilots accidentally colliding with the rotor blades when entering or exiting the vehicle, resulting in minor injuries. Fortunately, no fatal incidents have occurred to date.
The Astro Slug is a single-seat spaceship developed jointly by the Rebel Army and Amadeus Syndicate three months after the Invader Conquest. This sudden development was sparked by General Morden's growing paranoia about a potential alien invasion and the need to engage hostile extraterrestrial forces in outer space. The Pipovulaj Army's swift termination of their alliance with the Rebel Army after winning the war against the Invaders and returning to Mars further fueled this paranoia.
The Regular Army's acquisition of the Astro Slug remains unclear, but a popular theory suggests that they played a role in its development. This collaboration allegedly involved incorporating Martian and Invader technological debris. Interestingly, General Morden allowed the Regular Army to possess half of the produced Astro Slugs. Although this rumour seems unusual, it's considered plausible, especially given the relatively peaceful relations between the Regular Army, Rebel Army, Ptolemaic Army, and Amadeus Syndicate during that period.
The Astro Slug features a semi-automatic cannon on top, but its true potential lies in its ability to equip various weapons during flight. These weapons include Heavy Machine Guns, Laser Guns, Shotguns, and Rocket Launchers, which are mounted on two weapon pods on each side of the spacecraft. Additionally, it's equipped with limited, powerful, unguided missiles for firepower support. Some variants of the Astro Slug are also equipped with two 16mm Vulcan units that move in reverse of the spaceship's movement.
The Golden Slug, also known as the Golden Slug Phoenix, is a flight-based vehicle and the first known Slug to exist. Believed to be a creation of the Tuatha Dé Danann, it was discovered during a joint investigation by the Regular Army and Amadeus Syndicate at Ultima Thule. A team of soldiers and scientists stumbled upon a surprisingly half-functional phoenix war machine while searching for precious materials to utilise for weapons and machine manufacturing.
The origins of the Golden Slug are shrouded in mystery, but rumours suggest that it may have served as the guardian of Atlantis and Ultima Thule. It’s believed to have powered down and crashed into a crystal-filled, snowy cave after the destruction of Atlantis and the disappearance of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Due to its unpredictable behaviour, it has only been witnessed by a select few. Its last deployment was during the artillery bombardment of the Serapion Fellowship's fortress in Arms Deal Barrage, where it nearly went rogue, threatening to kill both friendly and enemy forces. Fortunately, Hyakutaro Ichimonji swiftly dismantled it, preventing a catastrophic outcome.
It's primarily an unmanned machine controlled by advanced AI, but it can also be operated by a single pilot. Unlike the Slug Flyer and Slug Copter, the Golden Slug mimics the flight pattern of a bird, flapping its wings to maintain flight and emitting loud squawks. It has a barrage of heat-seeking missiles located between its "feathers". Additionally, a laser beam is located inside its mouth, which can be switched between a Gatling gun, flamethrower, and poison gas dispenser during its 5-minute recharge period. Furthermore, it contains the Final Giga Blaster, a special weapon housed in its chest cavity. When activated, a camera shutter-like hatch opens, and a Denturion cannon-shaped launcher emerges, producing a large electrical, fiery nuclear energy sphere that causes a massive explosion upon impact.
The SVX-17M Slug Mariner is a Regular Army Super Vehicle designed as a single-crew minisub. Produced as an upgraded version of the Slug Sub before the events of the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash, it boasts faster movement speed and a sleeker design. Similar to the Slug Flyer and Slug Copter, the Slug Mariner contains specialised gear, Scuba Gear, for operators. This gear is useful if the operator needs to exit the vehicle after it entered suicide attack mode or if the Slug Mariner is destroyed and enters self-destruct mode. The Slug Mariner is equipped with two 10mm Vulcan cannons, which fire incendiary ammunition that sinks after being shot, allowing it to effectively target enemies below. Additionally, it can launch powerful torpedoes that create a large shockwave upon impact, making it extremely useful against larger underwater enemies.
The Slug Sub is a small submarine that lacks a Vulcan, instead relying on torpedoes. When it resurfaces, it can fire homing rockets, which are replaced with depth charges when it submerges. The submarine is equipped with an Emergency Boat, a backup transport featuring a river paddle that's deployed whenever the submarine is destroyed. Due to the rising popularity of the Slug Mariner, the Slug Sub has become less prominent and is often utilised for reconnaissance missions, particularly by the Intelligence Agency.
The Borobune Slug serves as both a freighter and fishing boat for the Regular Army. Initially, it functioned as a construction unit, transporting materials and goods while secretly carrying a single metal container. This container could hold either a ground vehicle or submarine, depending on the mission requirements. The Borobune Slug was exclusively deployed on Pallas Island during the Regular Army's nuclear testing and experimental shipbuilding operations. However, after mutated crustaceans appeared, nuclear testing was halted, and the Regular Army unit fled the island with a single, heavily damaged Borobune Slug, which had barely survived an attack by an Enormous Moray. This surviving unit inspired the Regular Army to produce more Borobune Slugs, which were intentionally designed with a run-down appearance for stealth purposes.
The Middle-Son 1986 is an old U-Boat, originally designed as a submarine, still in use by the Regular Army. Although more advanced variants have been developed, it remains in frequent service despite its outdated design. The submarine has a substantial arsenal, carrying a range of weapons including missiles, torpedoes, and even transporting troops across the ocean. Each vessel is equipped with an anti-aerial machine-gun turret, known as the AA Machine Gun, mounted on its hull. Notably, the Middle-Son 1986 boasts remarkable durability, which surpasses that of the Slug Sub and Slug Mariner. It can withstand damage from repeated bombing runs and continues to operate with minimal damage.
The Middle-Son 1999 is a submarine developed by the Regular Army for reconnaissance and offensive operations in water areas. Originally, only one unit was produced, but it sank after a severe storm in Asian waters damaged the submarine, causing it to crash against a rocky shoreline. Unfortunately, all crew members on board lost their lives. Its wreckage was later discovered in a dried-up riverbed in the Villeneuve Mt. System during the Great Morden War. At that time, the Rebel Army was utilising the wreckage as a makeshift shelter and interceptor. Following the Great Morden War, the Regular Army salvaged the remains of the Middle-Son 1999. This enabled engineers to analyse the materials used in its construction, ultimately leading to the production of additional units. Although there are more Middle-Son 1999 submarines than its predecessor, they have slightly weaker durability and lack an AA Machine Gun.
The PA33-21 Boat is a transport vessel designed to carry Regular Army personnel to privately owned islands and seaside areas. It features strong armour for protection, but has a vulnerability to aircraft-deployed bombs. For defence, it's equipped with three AA Machine Guns, providing powerful force against airborne threats. The boat has a capacity to carry up to 25 passengers, along with additional storage for a handful of weapon crates and barrels of food.
The Augensterm is a Slug designed to operate on both floors and ceilings. Developed by the Regular Army in a secret underground laboratory, this four-legged Slug was created using harvested scraps from Rebel Army tanks and Regular Army Super Vehicles. The laboratory itself was repurposed after being abandoned by the Amadeus Syndicate. Rumours suggest that the Augensterm was built shortly after the Invader Conquest, but its deployment has been delayed due to extensive testing phases. However, the reasons behind its lack of deployment remain classified, known only to high-ranking officials and engineers.
The pilot is positioned higher than in other Slugs, making it more challenging for enemies to score a hit. Its dual 12.6mm Vulcans operate similarly to the Slugnoid, firing at either the same target or in opposite directions. Additionally, the Augensterm is equipped with a harpoon capable of piercing enemy vehicles with ease. A special setting allows the harpoon to generate electricity when attacking. Furthermore, the harpoon can be replaced with an extendable drill designed for close-quarters combat rather than burrowing. However, its relatively slow movement makes it vulnerable to bullet and rocket attacks if the operator is not cautious.
The Slug Gigant is a monstrous walker emblazoned with the Regular Army insignia, currently holding the title of the largest Slug. Its design drew heavy inspiration from stolen Rebel Gigant blueprints, acquired by Intelligence Agency agents during the White Baby Crisis. Unlike the Rebel Gigant, which is primarily used for combat, the Slug Gigant serves a dual purpose as both a war machine and a giant snowplow. It is equipped with a 16mm Vulcan at the front, two movable arms, and a plasma beam attack capable of unleashing explosive force.
The Slug Gigant comes in two variants: a single-pilot model and a dual-pilot model. The primary difference between these variants lies in the cockpit design and the distribution of controls. In the single-pilot Slug Gigant, the lone pilot controls all aspects of the machine from a single cockpit. In contrast, the dual-pilot model features two separate cockpits. The pilot in the forward cockpit controls movement, the forward-facing Vulcan, and the claw-blaster cannon, while the pilot in the rear cockpit operates the shoulder-mounted Vulcan cannons.
The Black Hound was initially a part of the Ptolemaic Army's arsenal, but its software and design blueprints were stolen by Intelligence Agency agents and S.P.A.R.R.O.W.S. operatives during a raid on the Osaka compound in the midst of the Ptolemaic Emergence.
Originally, it was an experimental, unmanned war machine developed using stolen data disc information. However, the Regular Army, with the assistance of Trevor Spacey, modified the design to accommodate a single operator, replacing its remote-controlled AI technology. The initial version of the Regular Army's Black Hound lacked a functional laser cannon mounted on a mechanical arm. However, this oversight was eventually addressed by Tarma, who successfully integrated the laser cannon shortly after the revolt against the Regular Army.
The Iron Nokana is a repurposed Rebel Army large, multi-purpose armoured combat vehicle. It has been repainted blue and its size has been reduced by half compared to the original. Notably, the Girida-0 mounted on the back has been replaced with a bronze SV-001. The vehicle has undergone significant upgrades, including the addition of durable armour that provides immunity to electric shocks and freezing due to its resistance to electricity and icy cold temperatures. Many Regular Army personnel jokingly refer to it as the Steel Norcana.
The Type-2 Di-Cokka is a Rebel Army tank repurposed by Trevor, utilising stolen software he obtained during the White Baby Crisis. The tank's exterior has been painted blue with a golden iridescence, and the Regular Army insignia is emblazoned on its left side. It has been upgraded to include two short-barreled 155mm H-Cannons, which fire single shots that cover twice the range of the original. Notably, unlike its Rebel variants, which collapse when damaged, this Di-Cokka is rigged to explode into enemy positions when critically damaged.
The LV Slug Armor, also known as Heavy Armor, is an advanced variant of the Rebel Army's LV Armor. During the White Baby Crisis, the Intelligence Agency stole the data disc containing the LV Armor's design blueprints and computer software. The Intelligence Agency then handed this data over to the Regular Army for repurposing. Trevor was tasked with reworking the original LV Armor software for Regular Army use. He integrated an anti-virus program to prevent hacking and reduce the risk of system malfunction. Regular Army engineers subsequently developed a new version with enhanced armour, capable of withstanding heavier firepower.
The upgraded Slug Armor features a 60mm MTS-S/A chain gun integrated into its arm as well as a 100mm cannon mounted on its back. However, unlike its predecessor, the Slug Armor cannot swap weapons. Additionally, the weight of its new armaments prevents it from double-jumping. It boasts high, resilient armour and is equipped with a Vulcan gun and a rear-mounted cannon.
It excels in combat against large enemies, thanks to its ability to fire diagonally, similar to the Slug Gunner's minigun and heavy machine gun. This capability significantly enhances its line of fire. In terms of mobility, the Slug Armor moves faster on foot and can use its hover pack to perform a sliding charge while crouching, potentially running over enemies. Although it can move freely and fire its weapons while crouched, it cannot jump or attack upwards until it stands upright again.
The Landseek is a Rebel Army transport half-track vehicle repurposed by the Regular Army, who seized scraps and a partially damaged unit during their investigation of remaining Arabian Infantry troops in Riyadh during the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash. The cyan-coloured vehicle is utilised to transport friendly forces over long distances across enemy lines. Compared to the original, the Landseek's most notable upgrade is its significantly strengthened armour, enabling it to withstand anti-tank weaponry. However, its glass and fabric components remain vulnerable to damage.
The M-15A Bradley is a Rebel Army missile tank repurposed by the Regular Army, who dispatched Intelligence Agency agents to steal data on this tank during the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash. Regular Army personnel commonly refer to it as Brad. The tank has been modified to feature a lighter green color, and several upgrades have been implemented. These upgrades include the addition of a Vulcan cannon mounted on the side and modified missile launchers capable of firing at twice the range of its original counterpart. Furthermore, it has gained the ability to propel itself using rocket boosters.
The Hi-Do is a repurposed Rebel Army tandem rotor helicopter that the Regular Army obtained shortly after the capture of General Morden, acquiring the original aircraft and using it as a basis for their own modified version. Renamed to the Regular Army Helicopter, it's utilised for transporting personnel and Slugs. Similar to the Rebel Army's Hi-Do, it features a homing missile compartment within its nose. However, it lacks the Gatling gun mounted underneath, instead sporting a hatch that opens to deploy a hoist for lifting soldiers. This hatch is also equipped with a powerful magnet capable of carrying large metal crates. Notably, the helicopter has undergone a significant design overhaul, bearing a striking resemblance to the Regular Army Transport Helicopter in Metal Slug 3D.
The Type 95 Ha-Gō is a tankette bearing the Division 6 insignia, frequently utilised by Division 6 special forces operatives and soldiers. Despite being a Type 95 Ha-Gō, its design bears a striking resemblance to the Japonese Tank Soldier in Metal Slug 3. It's capable of firing five cannons simultaneously and launching anti-tank missiles at close range. Initially, only four of these tanks remained before Division 6 joined the Regular Army, after which they were mass-produced specifically for them to use. Many Regular Army and Division 6 personnel commonly refer to it as the Tank Soldier.
The Null Fighter is a single-seat fighter aircraft bearing the Division 6 insignia, featuring a unique design that combines elements of the Mitsubishi A5M carrier-based fighter (cockpit and fuselage) and the Aichi D3A dive bomber (tail). It's equipped with wing-mounted machine guns, capable of unleashing a continuous barrage of bullets. Similar to the Type 95 Ha-Go, there were a handful of Null Fighters available to Division 6, but after their alliance with the Regular Army, mass production began for their use only.
The Crusty Legs is a massive pilot-operated tank developed by the Regular Army and Division 6, designed to pulverize its enemies with its large legs. Only one unit has been produced, and it has been created from the use of Rebel Army tank scraps and salvaged Tuatha Dé Danann technology. When it spots an enemy, it fires two salvos of rolling cannonballs and 7.62mm ammunition rounds. It can power up its special attack, called the Flame Tornado Quadruped, by levitating in mid-air while the base of its feet ignite and generate flames, before charging towards the enemy to burn them. This attack lasts about 10 minutes or stops if the Crusty Legs has taken too much damage.
While the flamethrowers are active, the Crusty Legs replaces its special attack by firing a flaming shot from all three of its cannons. Despite its bulky appearance and slow movement, it’s quite mobile, possessing the ability to evade enemy attacks. If the flamethrowers are not active, it simply jumps in place. If the flamethrowers are active, it staggers backwards slightly to avoid the incoming attack.

OG Infinight Reference Sheet + Headcanons

Marcy Burns/Elleve the Amender

-4 feet tall
-its mentioned that she has "rainbow robes" and ive decided to interpret that as sunset colored
-pre mining accident Marcy has longer hair and has already lost her eye to unknown circumstances
-post mining accident Marcy cut her hair and it turned whiter, and she switched to more monochrome clothing-symbolizes her turning away from her faith and also grieving her husband
-still wears her wedding ring, and keeps Fred's on a chain with a locket of his picture
-we know literally nothing abt Fred but I think he was also a halfling and had a sick ass mustache
-the symbol on pre-accident Marcy's eyepatch + staff is supposed to be of the Diarians (followers of Dia). The circle is Faeza, the hands are Dia herself, and the six teardrop shapes are the Diagems. Also meant to resemble a flower as a reference to Gum Gum
-magic goblet-does it have a name? Anyways Paralyte stole it from the Sheerays so I gave it an aquatic wave/seaweed design (water = life)
-idk how to design tattoos, but other clerics of dia would probably have similar ones-i think hers are religious in nature
Ostin Tashe/Slique the Symphonius

-ya boiiii
-4'6-so just barely taller than Bart. Barely
-had the most satisfying color palette for me- i love green and so does he
-i rewatched the hobbit/lotr trilogies so Ostin is def inspired by that-gave him braided hair and armor
-idk how a tuning sword works. Like a bident maybe? Ive drawn the sword in his right hand (the one with missing fingers) but he might prefer to fight left-handed. Idk ive trained with longswords before but ive never lost any fingers so i cant say
-magic lute-gave it a greener/mossier color palette to show it was from the Elderpines. The strings are vines and the rosette has a tree design
-dont know where Ostin's scars came from either, maybe he really did fight a dragon maybe he didnt-doesnt stop him
-post-Wight Winter i gave Slique a grey streak to match with Spectril
-also gave him a cool colored eye highlight for the same reason
Leonard Lank/Spectril the Surreptitious

-i put his height around 5'7/5'8
-made the rogue armor sharp and dark-had to recolor it from the origianly palette bc it was too dark tho lmao. Fur collar to foreshadow his time in the Ethereal Plane
-post-Wight Winter i gave him simple, more homey clothes bc at that point he had a family and wasn't focused on fighting. The fur is not bear fur i swear
-already mentioned it before but his hair started turning white + he grew it out/braided it back.
-he's got normal rogue daggers, and then the Ethereal daggers. Not shown but yeah they fade in and out of the Material and Ethereal Plane
-"Walls Have Ears-Doors Have Eyes" by Clan D. Stine-the wiki i think mentioned him having books that let him turn invisible and walk through walls-this one's definitely a Leitner (ifykyk)
-boots-deceptively simple in design from the Elderpines
-piercings include several ear piercings, snake bites, and an eyebrow piercing
-warm colored eye highlight to match with Slique-your honor i have (accidentally) sun/moon coded then because they are gay
Luz Prattle/Paralyte

-6'0 tall and definitely uses it for intimidation
-i think she dresses kinda emo/alt
-the only infinight with a unique logo-instead of two crossed swords its a snake eating itself
-committing to the snake bit-i gave her scale armor
-the gloves have two talons on the pointer and middle finger, based very specifically off a homebrew item i saw where the hand kind of looks like a biting snake. It contains a venom that paralyzes enemies and came from the Sheerays
-put a snake on her sword. Cause why not. Thats why she teamed up with Brink they are both snake lovers
-not drawn, but she would have a snake tattoo somewhere on her body
-hands are turning dark at the fingertips as a side effect of using the gloves so often. Her veins are visibly green because shes pale as hell and also suffering from long term exposure to Sangrianite
-facial scar-man im sorry i dont know where this one came from either. Kyborg shot her once tho i do remember that
Bo Bender/Grislee the Groundbreaker

-height is about 6'6, very tall lady
-all i had to go off was red bandana so its like her thing
-her locs are made of rocks and also have veins of gold in them
-the stuff on her shoulders and hammer are lichen-she takes such long naps outside they've started growing on her. And also earth genasi
-when shes raging she has magma veins coming from her eyes and hands, and the inside of her body also glows
-when shes not raging it cools to golden veins-still very hot to the touch sometimes
-didnt have a lot if ideas for her second outfit but i gave her a bearskin bc she is "grizzly"
-hammer is the other item from the Sheerays and is pretty much just a trunk on a stick in terms of design. Combined with the lute tho, they are probably some of the most powerful items in Faeza
Man thats a lot of characters. Should i have made these before I made 3 painting and a comic page? Yeah. But i didnt lol. Enjoy✌️
edit: fixed the magic item origins

my controversial opinion on knightcore fashion
or: how to dress like a knight on a daily basis without any armor so, you're a knight just like me. you're chivalrous and noble. you want some adventures, medieval literature and a sword. maybe you even want to date a prince or a princess! that's cool and then, you're searching for "knightcore fashion" to incorporate your aesthetic into your daily life and... there's nothing that fits quite right.
img src: Rachel Maksy on youtube pinterest outfits are cool, but they are too much medieval-ish? historically accurate? LARP-ish? not suitable for school and office? that's bugs me a lot and then there's amazing @/donttesstme on tiktok, that does "workspace fantasy fits" series. that's more like it, but she hasn't done a knight part yet
well, here's my take on "how to dress like a modern knight without an armor, a sword and without expensive accessories"
important note: this advices may look a little weird and confusing at first. that's okay, and I'm going to explain why: I'm doing character design for years, and I really like fashion. armorless and swordless knights are impossibly hard to design, because their key features are... armor and sword. that's what makes them recognizable. without these components an outfit may look confusing and dull alas, swords are expensive, and armor may look a little weird on you while studying. that's why I'm going to tell you how to include some secondary knighcore motifs into your outfit. it may be subtle, but the intention makes it all 1. gather some inspiration: firstly, think about yourself, your current personal style and identity. this is important, because all knights are different maybe you're a kind, noble person with a strong moral code, who prefers light clothes and golden color? then maybe paladin archetype is going to be the best for you maybe you're a pessimistic gamer goth person, and you want to keep that. then think about your favorite gothic brutal knights from dark fantasy games maybe you just like bright colors? search for some art of medieval joust armor, it's actually colorful maybe your favorite knight is Link, maybe you're the Geralt of Rivia type of person. everyone is different, so gather some unique inspiration pictures.
2. learn the basics any fashion mf knows, that there's several components of an outfit: 1. color pallete 2. silhouette 3. pattern 4. materials 5. styling (the way you put and combine items) and that's where you gonna need your inspiration pictures. analyze them, think of what's important. ask yourself questions: do I like the dark pallete? is this knitted material reminds me of something like a chain mail? does these tall boots look adventurous to me? maybe I want a bulky scarf? write it down and keep that in mind. congrats! this is your personal definition of what is knightcore fashion.
3. op's definition of knightcore fashion personally, I think that "casual knightcore" is more like an adventurecore subtype. for me, clothes like that supposed to be utilitarian and sporty, because knights tend to explore, fight with monsters and go on great adventures. I would go for hiking vibes and comfortable pieces I also would prefer to have some brown, beige and grey neutrals paired with muted green, red of dark blue. grey, metallic and silver are probably the main color for my dream casual knightcore wardrobe I wouldn't mind to add some whimsical fantasy elements, but in a subtle way. like bulky metallic jewelry with nature motifs, accessories like chunky combat boots and belts. maybe a cool DIY-ed unicorn embroidery on a jacket or pair of dagger earrings. jewelry supposed to be like a sentimental token from a lady or an artifact from a long journey also, ribbons, lace and fishnets are somehow knightcore to me?? like, recently I crocheted a oversized brown shrug for myself, and it screams chain mail in conclusion: generally, I would recommend search for some muted and natural colors, metallic jewelry, comfortable clothes for hiking, tall boots, tunik-shaped oversized shirts and huge scarfs. this is my vision of "modern knight" clothes, your vision may be different maybe I'm taking this far too serious anyway, hope that helps

oh that post you made a while back about using decepticon pussy as a water bottle got me thinking so hard
so like, imagine a con who gets captured and they're expecting the usual; torture, imprisonment in a cell, the normal deal when one gets put into custody by the other side. they've heard stories about the autobots being a bit kinky than what most cons would have thought, but this bot for sure isn't expecting to be strung up in the mess hall, an energon dispenser routed through their systems and just sort of left there, like some weird decoration
i'm thinking of one of those water bottles you use to feed like a hamster just sticking out of their valve for the autobots to use whenever they need to refuel. hell maybe they've even got tiddies and one of the medics rerouted a few of their internal fuel lines to get them up and running, so now bots have a choice between the valve spout or energon straight from the tit
ough i'm thinking about a prewar high class party where some poor gutter mech (maybe drift~) spread eagle on a table, with little treats and snacks spread all across their frame and they just have to sit there, not moving as they're basically treated as just a piece of furniture. maybe the person who hired (or captured depending on how dubcon you wanna make this situation) the newly serving bot has used really pretty chains, covered in engraved flowers and crystal clusters to decorate their new platter and maybe they've even forced the mech's panels open, with a little container of sauce shoved in there for extra flavour
this is less like a food kink and more of a kink for being strung up and ignored, a mech being treated as nothing more than a piece of furniture for others to ignore
-burnt ice anon
Hello anon. this is a direct bullseye to my kinks. are you perhaps a mind reader
Hnggg I'm imagining they take the energon dispensary and route a fuel line to the top of the cons valve, and then seal his slit shut around a spigot... that way the autobots can have their plain rations flavored with his yummy lubricant
Of course his node and spike are uncovered, the autobots play with them to get sweeter fuel before they open the tap and release some of the pressure in the poor 'con's valve... an autobot that likes their fuel as sweet as possible, rubbing his node until he overloads, so they can get the most lubricant in their fuel...
A medic got the code to get his refineries up and running, now theyre sore and overful, hanging heavy down his chest... 'bots will squeeze one of his tits to squirt some frothy, milky refined energon into a cube, but some skip that and suck straight from his nozzles instead...
Also I love imagining cybertronian noblemechs doing kinky fucked up shit... I will gladly jump at the opportunity to put Drift in that scenario.
Completely stripped of his nasty dirty armor, bound flat to the table with nothing but jewelry and treats to hide his protoform... I love imagining stuffing his valve with food, yeah. Maybe there's a little tray of rust sticks next to him, and you can either swirl it in his valve or gently dip it into his drooling transfluid slit...
Maybe it's a party game to have a "serving platter" with an array coated in candy, the goal of the game to see who can lick it clean without making a mess by letting the platter overload...

The Watchful
Taking a break from my break to do this because it's driving me insane that i'm not finding anything about this anywhere except here, specifically here and here thanks to @felassan (go check it out, small warning for trypophobia)
Apparently EA had a holiday promotion with Xbox and some people are getting the codes to get the promotional cosmetics just now but nobody had idea about it.
Overall the items look like made from a mix of something organic and mineral, colors are a sickly white and a desaturated black, and the shared element is the items seem to have multiple “eyes” of various sizes all over them in what looks like marble or some polished crystal, hence the “watchful” name. Lots of “eyes”, but also in some cases the items show cilindrical protuberances of the same material as the “eyes”. The set is a weapons cosmetics set and which ones players get depend on their Rook's class, and they are very suspicious. The descriptions taken from code are out of order and the only confirmed match between item and description is for the mage staff as the screenshot shows it, so i decided to try matching the others. The descriptions for saber and blade may go the other way around, i'm not sure. And it's interesting the code shows one for a quiver when quivers aren't equippable in game but rather part of the bows, but i guess that was there to sort of cover the absence of a Watchful armor.
Watchful Poinard/Dagger: “The small blade sees obstacles and drinks deep to remove them”
Watchful Saber: “Observes and obeys with perfect precision, as a good tool should”
Watchful Blade: “The long blade sees goals and opens the paths to desired outcomes”
Watchful Maul: “It sees. It crushes. It waits. The chains are ornamental now”
Watchful Staff: “A trusted tool that facilitates observation and will never reveal secrets”
Watchful Bow:“The arms tremble as if hungry for the arrow’s target”
Watchful Quiver:“Every archer needs a trusted pair of eyes at their back”
Watchful Shield: “Protection, warning, and when merited, shelter from the storm”
Other than visuals, the descriptions offer a common theme, evident in the set name. These are weapons that “see”, “observe”, “drink”, “open paths”, keep secrets, things that would imply they are somewhat sentient. At the same time they are “trusted tools”, they “obey”, and phrases like “the chains are ornamental now” from the Maul would imply these weapons on top of being sentient may have been enslaved but are now free. Other than the creepy factor, they don’t seem to be holding grudges, but are implied to be trustworthy and reliable.
The visuals, the watchful/eyes motif, the “shelter from the storm” in the Shield’s description and the mentions of obstacles, goals and paths to desired outcomes from the dagger and blade, it all tells me “Those across the sea”. They do seem to have had eyes everywhere in Thedas across the ages, they have observed, they have cleared the obstacles to their goals, their manipulation of actors throughout key events in Thedas' history have opened the path to their desired outcome. They have been waiting a long time to get rid of the Evanuris (“the chains are ornamental now” bit tells me there are no masters pulling them anymore).
The word “storm” from now on has an intriguing significance in DA and it’s undoubtedly linked to the Executors, those across the sea and the secret post-credits scene. Also the way some of these descriptions are redacted resembles how the mysterious voice speaks when each circle is found in DAV, and not to mention the color scheme screams it’s them.
What i'm wondering -and may be wondering forever because i doubt we ever get anything official on this- is why put this in cosmetics from a very limited holiday promotion??

My feelings about Red in Lucky Block Staff continue to evade coherence so instead I'm gonna chronicle every in-game block that has been used in the staff to date and how the staff uses them.
The first block we ever saw used in the staff was a command block, specifically an impulse command block (as opposed to a repeat command block or chain command block; Sammy's post explains the difference in mechanics between the three and why the impulse command block is the best choice for the staff). When used, the staff allows the wielder to execute commands via the block instantaneously, without having to properly code or input or activate them. . (The ability to use the command-block staff as a flying broomstick or air scooter or hoverboard or what-have-you is also a command, specifically "data modify entity @/s abilities.flying set value 1b" without the "/" which I had to include so I wouldn't keep accidentally tagging someone, which appears when flight first begins but disappears shortly after despite sustained flight. I don't know what this means but I assume the staff uses the command block to bestow flight capabilities upon either the command block itself, the staff itself, or the stick wielding it, without necessarily needing to aim. Whichever it is, it has some interesting implications regarding the connection between staff and wielder. Sammy has since informed me that this is not, in fact, a real Minecraft command. "Data modify entity" indicates that the command is to modify the NBT data of a mob or item, "@/s" without the "/" indicates that the target of the command is the same person who's running it, "abilities.flying" was made up for the series; however Bedrock edition does have an ability tag called "MayFly." This makes me wonder if the staff considers itself a part of its wielder.) . Jury's out on whether the wielder has to know the commands they want the staff to execute, or whether they just have to project what they want to happen and the staff makes the command block make it happen. .
Next is a block of gold. When used, the staff seems to allow the wielder to destroy nearby blocks by striking them with the gold block, which makes sense as gold is one of the materials that can be used to craft tools. . But the destructive capabilities of the staff when equipped with a gold block are far milder than when it's equipped with some of the other blocks. Which also makes sense, as gold In fact, they're mild enough that the orb apparently doesn't deem it a worthwhile block, as neither the sticks nor the orb ever use a gold-equipped staff during the entirety of the Lucky Block Staff episode. . Armors crafted from gold offer less defense and have lower durability than armors of any other material, apart from leather. Pickaxes and shovels crafted from gold likewise have a lower durability, but also offer a higher mining speed than any other material. . Gold is also used in the crafting of clocks and powered rails, alongside redstone. . Another interesting thing about gold as a material is its enchantability. All in-game weapons, tools, and armors have an enchantability level, which is one of the factors used to determine which enchantments will be available for it through an enchanting table (other factors being the player's experience level and the enchantment levels offered by the table in accordance with how many bookshelves are within range). It is notable that weapons, tools, and armors crafted from gold have a higher enchantability level than weapons, tools, and armors crafted from any other material. Gold armors have a level of 25, with the next highest being leather and netherite armors at 15. Gold tools and weapons have a level of 22, with wood and netherite in second place at a level of 15 again. . If the staff utilizes the enchantability or speed or conductibility of gold as a material at all, then we have yet to see this demonstrated. .
Then we see a block of neterite. When used, the staff seems to allow the wielder to obliterate any block struck by the netherite block, as well as kill survival-mode enemies in one hit or knock creative-mode enemies so far out of range that the boss battle reaches its next phase. Interestingly, any block within a certain radius of the impact point will be obliterated as well, as if by a shockwave; though this effect is not evenly distributed and is more potent in the direction of the strike. The general strength of these effects is also inconsistent, and may depend on momentum. . The netherite block is also shown to be heavier than the command or gold blocks, once equipped to the staff. . (It's also proven that striking with any other part of the staff doesn't produce these effects. Impact must be made by the block itself. Presumably this applies to all the destructive blocks.) . I don't think the orb ever makes a netherite staff, but if one was made it was either destroyed or contained in a chest before the orb got a chance to use it. .
(That is interesting to note, in and of itself: Blue gives several chests the "awakening" potion effect, and any staffs that get glomped by these chests are out of commission for the rest of the fight, regardless of the blocks equipped.) .
That's all I have time for tonight, next time I'll get into King's research.
#avm shorts#avm#animation vs minecraft#this took three hours to put together and I’ve only addressed three blocks

#suds asks#suds soapbox#art recommendations for People Who Are Definitely Normal#now you all see why I reblog 250 posts a day and then get locked out of tumblr because of the post limit#this started out as me just wanting to grab some highlights and then I got 18 pages in and was like#this is ALL a highlight#its a really big deal to me because I when I think of artists who's skill level I'd really want emulate- Tired is always one of them#And this list ended up being so long because while maybe I should have chosen solely ones that were Long Comics or Obvious#or ones that showed off the Technical Skills that Tired so clearly has#It feels Not Right to not include all the art that was clearly made from a place of love and passion even if it was sketches or smaller??#Like. The love poured into an art piece feels just as important as the detail and effort and skill#How Could You Not Lovel Sketches Of Dream And Punz Being Happy.
