GRIMWALKER BIOLOGY & ANATOMY STUDIES [pt 1 / ?? ]
(aka, my ideas and thoughts on how these bad but sad boys work!)
with pictures :D !
ok for starters! I tried my best to make real life connections with actual biological stuff and yeah but there are some things ima have to bullshit lol
i hope yall like rambling
Tumblr media
[ ^ Basic ideas ]
Lets talk about anatomy!
From what i can tell from the grim walker ingredient book they have some pretty ... interesting ingredients...
GALDORSTONE:
Heart and Power apparently. What i can make of this is that the Galderstone not only powers and animates the non-organic materials but acts as a circulatory system, flowing blood and nutrients to keep the body stable by creating magical pulses of pressure that makes the blood flow. Blood is kind of ideal for homeostasis and living and om pretty sure we've seen hunter bleed at least once... Perhaps the Galderston can create an artificial vascular system to carry oxygen, magic, and nutrients throughout the growing body instead of just making veins from scratch. I want to say the Galderstone can generate energy for the grimwalker but that would mean they wouldn't need to eat, and I don't think that's true. I think its main purpose is just activate the magic materials and is like the generator to a car, keeping it running. If the Galderstone were to break or fail, the grimwalker probably come unglued and fall apart to its components (which would be pretty horrifying)
ORTET BONE:
Very key component! The ortet bone kind of helps form the blueprint for the species of the grimwalker, as well as supplying blood, a skeletal system, and components of DNA. The most basic definition of the word ORTET is as follows: the original plant from which the members of a clone have descended. Fun fact: since were using cloning terms, Hunter is to Caleb as Ramet is to Ortet (Ramet is an individual clone) I did research for cloning and as it turns out you kinda need a complete genome for cloning but for bullshitting reasons (which will be explained) we can clone with incomplete DNA and make synthetic dna from scratch! I hypothesis that the reason grims can look different from the ortet instead of just straight carbon copies is due to the bone that is used and how much of i there is. Like example a grimwalker made using just a toe phalange is going to look A LOT less like the ortet compared to a grimwalker made from something like the cranium and bigger bones and such. Basically smaller bones dont carry as much dna info and leads for room to fill in the blanks. Sadly this means alot of Grimwalkers had A LOT of health problems (this can range anywhere from immune system problems to liver failure which is quiet typical in clones, that and it is often that clones appear different from the ortet due to enviromental factors and influences)
Tumblr media
[ As the image above shows, subject #103 has a very close resemblance to the ortet due to the bones that are used ] There are pros and cons to using bones! Pros being that they can hold DNA for much longer than tissue, but the thing is bones can degrade really easy if not preserved, and i don't think belos had a bottle of hydrogen peroxide laying around that he could dunk Caleb in, so let's just assume he made sure his brother's corpse was well cleaned and kept. Biggest con is the human body only has so many bones (about 206) I believe that the reason Grimwalker can generate organs is by using the ortet and making the stem cells created from bone marrow. Stem cells are very important because they can turn into different types of cells like blood and tissue cells as well as repair tissue. I believe the process of growing grimwalkers is kind of like "Self-renewal" the process in which stem cells divide and make more of the body
STONESLEEPER LUNGS:
Im just gonna assume stone sleeper had very small lungs because aint no way those t rex lungs fit in a teenage boy. I originally thought The reason that Grimwalkers can stay underground for so long is because the lungs, similar to how a stonesleeper hibernates for centuries (kind of like how wood frogs can basically cryo-hibernate) by petrifying but a grimwalker IS growing and therefore needs resources to grow, like how a baby does in the womb. So it has to be actively getting said resources so it cant be petrified. I now think the reason that grimwalkers have these lungs is because theyre easily compatible to the galderstone, which needs oxygen for the blood and that they can be easily harvested and stored in stone form. But that does give room for cool adaptations like self-petrification! (which i will get into next time :D )
PALISTROM WOOD:
Ok its says that the wood is used for keratin, which is a fiberous protein which can make all kinds of things like scales, hair, nails, feathers, horns, claws, hooves, and skin! And since its also a plant means it can grow 4 times as fast as normal keratin can! This explains why hunters hair grew so ridiculously fast in season 3, was because his hair can produce its own carbohydrates and nutrients on its own... This means his skin and surface wounds can heal quite fast! (down side is it might give him something similar to PSS (Peeling Skin Syndrome ) ...) I think Palisman is very important becasue of several reason! 1 Like palisman, it can "animate" if you will, more or less help pull off the illusion that he is alive. 2 Like mentioned before, Grimwalkers need nutrients to grow and I believe the palistrom wood aids in that! Using a process called cellular diffusion, the grimwalker can take in nutrients from the ground around them (which i theorize to be highly fertilized) through THEIR SKIN! and into the veins and flesh of the grims 3 I believe that in the process of forming, the galderstone "activates" the palistrom wood, forming into skin or hair but this process of rapid growth leaves the skin all undone and fragile because a proper cutaneous barrier was not formed yet (which is useful for being malleable. This is why Hunter's ears are so 1 .god blessed big because they are fake and molded to look like that. Its also why The grimwalker Belos possessed fell apart so easily, like he said "It wasnt ready")
Tumblr media
SELKIEDOMUS SCALES:
This one kind of confused me because... well why do we need the seal flesh when the ortet can just regenerate it?? I think its kind of like the stuffing if you will, it also speeds up the process of producing flesh by a lot! Especially if you want to make grown grimwalkers! Im thinking that Grimwalkers don't have a set "age" theyre just as big as however many materials they are given to work with. Even though the book says they can start as babies, if you look closely there is a check mark towards the more adolescent figure, so im thinking that they are not ready to be unearthed until they reach a certain growth ima guess around the age of over 10-ish?? We don't know how young Hunter was pulled out of the floor but it seems like he was fairly young, or atleast younger. This means while Hunter appears to be 16, he might have only been living for around 5 years or so.
Tumblr media
Now typically normal seals have a lot of blubber which is a thick layer of fat, also called adipose tissue, directly under the skin of a marine mammals. Its used for insulation. The thing is tho, it says Selkiedomus Scales, not flesh... Dont worry there are mammals that have scales like Pangolins but i dont know if these scales are like thick plated or small and stretchy. Magic bullshitting time, Im goin to assume Selkiedomus scales refers to a layer of scale-like flesh that protect the creature from boiling but is also highly malleable and easy to work with. Maybe the reason they can withstand such heat is due to unsaturated bonds of butadiene molecules mixed into the blubber that are highly heat resistant Selkie domus flesh is molded and into the relative shape of desired body and using the DNA of the ortet the flesh is reshaped and reused into the desired muscles shapes. The vascular system created by the galderstone spreads throughout the flesh and binds with it. healing together and becoming flesh, kind of like a speed up version of skin graft maturation! This is useful for growing them quickly because they don't have to grow an entire adult body from scratch so this speed up the process by eeeerrm 20 years or so lol
Thats only the basics for now, sooner or later i shall get into the more fun stuff, like adaptaions of Grim walker, the growing process, ad more!
Hope you guys enjoyed my ideas, if i got anything incorrect let me know, my research isnt exremly searched through.
last question ill leave you all with, it kind of stumped me while i was working...
Tumblr media
i have a theory but i wanna know your thoughts...
(i worked hard on all this btw, i really hope people read it lol /lh.)

curious if there is a term for this, but im a polyfrag’d system. sometimes, when we go through stressful events that our host cannot handle, it feels like a copy of the host is made and the previous host is pushed into dormancy and the new host is made to front. like if you took a word document and started typing, duplicated it, and then kept typing in the duplicated document.
sometimes the previous host and new host will fuse after the stress has subsided, but generally we stay separate. so most of the system feels like a never ending duplicate of a duplicate of a duplicate etc etc
i tried explaining this to my therapist and she kinda looked at me funny, but idk how else to word this
That's a really interesting experience.
I haven't heard of a term specifically for a system that regularly does that exactly, but I found the terms Clone and Versiogenic/Versiomates for individual headmates on pluralpedia.
Not sure if that's exactly what you're looking for, but they at least sound similar.

So, Episode 18 more or less confirmed that the GUND-Bits all house the consciousness of clones of Ericht, who are intended to act as extensions of Ericht herself... but rather than a clone, Suletta herself is Ericht's actual flesh and blood little sister, rather than one of the Repli-Children who we can assume were created following Eri's death. This is evidenced by the fact that Suletta herself was an infant when Ericht died, and lacked Ericht's high compatibility with the GUND format. Furthermore, given Ericht's state of being a consciousness imprinted upon the Lfrith following the Data Storm that occurred when she lost her life, it stands to reason that, rather than being flesh and blood clones, the Children of the Coven are simply copies of Ericht in the digital sense, given what seems like an eerie lack of individuality and looking exactly like Ericht at eight years old, down to the same blue Data Storm markings.
For all of Prospera's wickedness, she NEVER intended to sacrifice Eri for the sake of her revenge, showing that the chain of events that led to Eri becoming the Aerial started with an accident. For all of Belmeria's admonishing of Prospera, she NEVER sunk to the lows that Belmeria did. Prospera isn't free of sin, true enough... but frustratingly, as far as their respective experiments go, Prospera Mercury has the moral high ground on her former colleague, having never (that we've seen thus far) engaged in human experimentation.
Of course the folks at the Gundam Wiki misinterpreted that whole sequence of events and decided to label Suletta as Ericht's clone anyway...
As far as we know Suletta may also be a clone? she looks exactly like Ericht and there wasn't a dad around this time. I agree that the repli-children were digital tho. That whole scene fucked me up a little bit. Eri calling Suletta the key and then saying she doesn't need her anymore. Exactly the same way Miorine told Suletta she had been a tool for her freedom. Big ouchie
This episode changed a lot of the way we see Prosper. Im actually confused which I take is a good sign of Prospera's complexity. She didn't force Eri into the Lfrith, and every step of her plan has been in the name of getting her back. But at the same time she made 11 identical copies and then Suletta and manipulated Suletta to the point where she can't process emotions correctly. But she also asked Eri if she couldn't come with them and agreed with her in saying Suletta deserved to live freely. Does Prospera care or not about Suletta? Does that change the fact that she has been using her like a tool to get Eri back since the beginning? Even if the Eri thing was an accident, does she still have the high ground over Belmeria since she went down that road?

okay so you know how in movies whenever someone clones themselves, the clone is referred to as their child? And sure, from various cloning standpoints, the clone is the dna-donors child, but i feel like thats only because of age gaps.
See, identical twins will have the same DNA because one is a direct copy paste formed before birth. the twins are siblings, because they both have equal parts dna from both parents, are (from that standpoint) from the same generation. Two individuals that have the same exact genentics from the same parents are siblings.
So why the hell are they always parent-child dynamics?? Huge age gaps can exists between siblings so im shoving that argument out the door. And all the "i am you you are me so youre destined to be evil/the hero" please it does not work that way

Are you familiar with Donald Marshall's story? If your comfortable, what are you thoughts on his descriptions of cloning, levels underground military base containing stadium arenas, and "cloning centers" where people are programmed and trafficked?
I have memories of being in underground stadium arenas, in the particular instance im recalling there was a stage in the center. I have no idea where I was on surface coordinates, I want to say it was Disneyland. It's strange to consider Disneyland a military base, but I've seen things similar to what Marshall is speaking about.
Is cloning humans, temporarily creating duplicates in the way Marshall describes, and using them like that within the realm of possibility? Do u know it to be happening? Philosophically that would be fascinating, but tech wise? I'm curious if that's a reality.
I’m not super familiar with Donald Marshall. I did a bit more research about him to answer your questions.
I won’t go into deep detail about cloning but, give a brief overview.
Clones are organisms that are exact genetic copies. Every single bit of their DNA is identical.
Identical twins are just one example. Or clones can be made in the lab.
Reproductive cloning is defined as the deliberate production of genetically identical individuals. Each newly produced individual is a clone of the original.
“One good person there Bernie Mac comedian and actor tried to stand up for me speak up for me saying it's not right to do to a human being,... tried to have others join him in speaking out against the clone torture zone while there,... Elizabeth and Phillip had him tortured so badly there as an example of their "power" he had an aneurysm the next day and died.” -Donald Marshall-
After being treated in the ICU for three weeks, Mac went into cardiac arrest and subsequently died during the early morning hours on August 9, 2008 at the age of 50.
This would make Donald Marshall thirty years old in 2008. (They stupidly put my face on a Megadeth album, "The World Needs A Hero" when I was 23”)
“Half way through making this document they brought me there and introduced me to a man named TROY LANDRY, He is an alligator trapper from Louisiana on the tv program swamp people, he said if I sent this letter out he would take a power drill to my shin bone there and suck the marrow from my bones, kinda like a spinal tap, one of the worst things you can do to a clone besides burning, I said the letter will be going out, I have to escape this place, and so he did just that, it was excruciatingly painful, everyone just watched slack jawed in the crowd, Troy Landry is an insatiable child molester and an extra retarded clone, in Louisiana when he see's a young boy he likes he asks his name tells him he's an alligator hunter shakes hands, then asks his pedophile friends at the local cloning station to find the boys blood records to clone him, months later there are multiple identical boys grown for Troy Landry to victimize before the crowd of onlookers.” with Donald Marshall
This isn’t how cloning works at all. Clones are born the same way as other newborn animals: as babies. human cloning would most likely utilize "reproductive cloning" techniques — an approach in which a "mature somatic cell," most probably a skin cell, would be used, according to NHGRI. The DNA extracted from this cell would be placed into the egg cell of a donor that has "had its own DNA-containing nucleus removed."
The egg would then begin to develop in a test tube before being "implanted into the womb of an adult female," according to NHGRI.
A human clone would only have the same genetic makeup as someone else — they would not share other things such as personality, morals or sense of humour: these would be unique to both parties.
That was a quick search of what he’s posted. He also sounds like a complete arse. “Donald Marshall your a fag and a loser cody,... have fun licking your dads ass at the cloning center retard.”
Cloning hasn’t been expanded on since 2006. In 2006 induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) were discovered. These are "adult" cells that have been reprogrammed to resemble cells in early development. The development in iPSC technology essentially rendered the concept of using cloned embryos both unnecessary and scientifically inferior.

Make sure to check out the second masterpost here for more up to date information, including newer art and writing!
Asks:
- (copied ask) [summarized mod comment]
- Hermitopia | Scar was experimented on by Cub. He gained dangerous powers and wings that resemble a dragon’s, but he keeps both hidden. Unless someone makes him angry. He has no idea who gave him his powers. Eventually he and Cub decided that they wanted to control things beyond their corporation, so Scar ran for mayor. (there are things to fill in but im lazy) [Scar assumes he got the powers in an accident during research. He enjoys having them but has no idea that they were intentional.]
- Hermitopia AU team ZIT is a superpowered crime-fighting trio!
- owing to a very particular set of guidelines he put in place, Joe can now copy powers if he sees them in use and can reverse-engineer how those powers are used. needless to say, this is massively overpowered in the right hands.but it got worse. at some point, there was an... incident... on ConCorp grounds, something to do with a mass amount of entities causing time dilation -- and Joe was caught in the thick of it, unable to be rescued for a while.the problem is, he got out by piecing together how the time dilation worked.needless to say, Joe... has a ridiculous powerset. so he chooses largely not to use his powers anymore unless it's absolutely dire or petty enough to shrug off as a random occurrence. nobody needs to know that one of the most powerful Unaffiliated in the city is standing right in front of them... especially not ConCorp.
- doc was a former high ranking employee of concorp before he volunteered for an experiment and it went horribly wrong. since then, the company has tried to erase any evidence of his existence. doc is now seeking revenge for all that the company did to him and is determined to tear it apart
- HI ok follow up asks will be sent later when my thoughts are coherent but concept: cleo has like super messed up healing powers where she can make healing go Too Far. also i pin her as unbound, considering, like, everything - shovel-shuffle
- So, his power was meant to be super-regen, right? except things don't always quite go to plan. Someone volunteered for the powers surgeries and is arguably dead. Etho is a name shared by the many many clones that developed themselves out of the leftovers. They're not quite individuals, not quite a hivemind. Any one of them has no fear of death because the others will continue, but they all act independently around their overarching goal. (which I won't snitch about) - DragonKay
- Bdubs was a hero. Key word? Was. He climbed the ranks through the government, he was a loyal and dutiful member of society, and he used his plant manipulation powers to subdue evil-doers without hurting them. But he’s always been a friendly guy, and he couldn’t help himself—talking to the Unrestrained, especially those in custody, was interesting! ...but it’s a slippery slope to walk, being friendly with the enemy and not sympathizing to their cause. Nobody knows where he is now, but there are rumours of a vigilante with similar abilities, and his three compatriots, two of whom he helped escape from ConCorp... They call themselves the nHo. - slimetek [Bdubs deserted Concorp while helping Doc escape after his experiment went wrong]
- Concorp managed to make a device that allows animals to speak or translate their thoughts into writing. This means that the good old mayor Scar has a certain cat giving some advice on how to run the city.
- Iskall is an assasin/mercenary against their own volition. An accident they'd rather forget almost killed them, and in exchange for their freedom and free will they got to live as a cyborg. Though its hard to forget with the implant that covers their eye and the limb of cool metal hanging at their side - @ghastly-ghostie [Iskall works for Concorp off-books, bound by the debt owed to them for the life saving experimental modifications]
- so I think grians original powers could be like cloning, but something goes wrong and the clones are different people. as a result of the duplication process, some funky magic rocks are made. the clones decide to take most of the funky rocks and run off, leaving grian with one rock that gives him some new abilities and the clones' rocks give him others. also uhh mechanical wings bc yes. so grians plot is him trying to find them while also causing problems on purpose. infinity stones. update to my grian ask from earlier, I had better ideas: the rocks are old like magic things that grian finds before the cloning and ends up collecting, but his clones snatch them - simplyskipper [some of the alternate Grians are aligned with different factions in Hermitopia, while the locations of others are farther or unknown]
- Hermitopia- Impulse has solid-light powers. He has golden crystals implanted in his hands, which he can reflect light through to solidify it into all sorts of shapes. This can be used to make barriers, projectiles, and much more, though more detailed constructs take more time.- @mleemwyvern
- Hermitopia AU Poultry man is a well-known chaotic neutral leaning towards good, as a one of the unrestrained.
- I think Team ZIT should be a little be wild card-y, that's how they act after all! [they are employed by the government for standard crimefighting, but they don't always take Scar's word at its intended meaning and often play a bit on the chaotic side when given instructions]
- [Hermitopia AU] False is an antihero/vigilante type who's specialty is not defined by powers or the such, but just... the absolute skill of being able to dual wield two (more sci-fi era) short swords. Maybe someone upgrades them to be "enchanted" (electrical, fire, etc. something that tech could do well probably). She's willing to be paid-for-hire, but if you go past her moral line she's also willin' to backstab you. -- @cheshire-vex [she's a free agent who sort of drifts between Concorp, the government, and whoever else will pay her on a job-by-job basis]
- Hermitopia impulse has more connections then one may think. He has ties to people pretty much everywhere, for reasons unknown. There is a 100% someone will come and greet him wherever he goes. [the greetings are usually friendly]
- Hermitopia Au! Keralis is a hero who most people wouldn't expect to be too skilled at fighting. His power is similar to hypnosis so he has no need to get very physical. Yeah, that changed when some bastard villain decided to attack his friends shop. [that incident caused his employer Scar to realize his untapped potential for protecting people and assign him to a few more high-stakes jobs]
- Hermittopia!TFC was one of ConCorp’s first experiments and as such his powers are a bit less...refined then the others. He has geokinetic powers, allowing him to psychically control rocks and other earthen materials. He used to be one of the VEX programs top graduates, but has since parted ways with them for unknown reasons and now operates his own plans of keep crime in Hermitopia under control. -lechairpourriedegrianri [he is considered Unaffiliated and both Concorp and the government largely leave him to his own devices, since he is helping to keep the city together]
-Wels doesn't have powers. He does have a super-suit made of fire and heat resistant carbon fibre (like the material used for the space shuttle) and has a built in hologram projector. One time, he used the hologram projector to project an image of himself, which everyone thought was a clone. He didn't have the heart to tell them otherwise. (AKA everyone thinks Wels has powers but he doesn't) -Silverwolf53 [he got the suit in Project VEX]
- To follow up on the Impulse ask- Team ZIT are a space-themed superhero team. Government-aligned, at least for now.Tango has meteor-like powers, he can shoot fire from his hands and feet and often uses this to propel himself at high speeds. Zed has gravity powers! He can increase or decrease the density of any object, to the point of making small black holes. They all have space-themed costumes, and it was probably Zed's idea. - @mleemwyvern
- TFC was the first participant in project VEX
- Grian was an attempted success. It fixed some problems with Etho's unintended cloning, but at the same time created some problems of its own, seeing as the clones appeared to have a life of their own. It's fine, though. It's probably fine
- I would say Grian is unrestrained, a bit like Etho, Chaotic in his own way. Does not activily Try to hurt people, but does mostly what he wants for fun.-Ciara
- Xisuma is a civilian- he has hero friends, but despite all their teasing he’s never wanted to go through VEX training. But in the night, the unrestrained Void walks the streets [Void is a symbiotic creature made of nothingness that uses Xisuma's body as a substitute physical form]
- Bdubs was such a good man... he could be trusted to look after Doc, couldn’t he? Somebody had to oversee him, somebody who was reliable and would never, ever consider betraying the mayor and ConCorp...They let their guard down, and Bdubs got curious. Bdubs made a friend. And then they lost him.- Slimetek
- The hels hermits are considered evil by default. How do you spot these clones, how could you protect yourself? Well in the past it was a lot easier, just look for their red eyesNowadays contacts exist but that doesn't stop people trying to call the police on tango, calling him a hels. Hes netherian, they have unnatural eye colours and their iris fills the entire eye, hes not evil but if people keep doing this hes gonna be!
- Beef woke up from his brain surgery to receive telepathy powers, took one look into the mind of the overseer, and noped put of there as fast as he could go.He's on very public record. After all, the mind control he may be capable of is a very convenient explanation for anyone who turns against concorp... ~DragonKay
- Hypno can’t control minds. They say he does. It’s why he’s named Hypno, after all.In reality, he can’t control people like that... but he can control what they see.Your best friend might look like your greatest enemy. A pit of lava might look like solid ground. A 100-foot drop might look like a step down. It’s a good thing he’s a hero, and a good thing he keeps his true powers hidden beneath a guise of low-level hypnotism. There’s no telling what he could do if they let him go. [he works for Concorp, helping to protect VEX trainees from people trying to harm them before they get a chance to finish the program, as well as keeping other resources safe]
- The 9th Street Incident [referring to an earlier Impulse comment] was a friendly greeting. That particular version of Etho just thought that drawing weapons would be a friendly greeting for Impulse, but Tango and Zed seem to disagree
- They still don’t trust Bdubs. He was with the government for a long time, and things are hard out there on the run. Besides, they don’t know what he got up to there. ConCorp could have any sort of information on him, something that might scare him back.Bdubs understands this. He doesn’t want to go back. He’d hate to go back....but they think he will, and maybe there’s something he’s not telling them. An ace that ConCorp has yet to play.- Slimetek
- Mumbo works for concorp as an engineer specialising in robotics, most recently taking on the task of maintaining Iskall's cybernetics that somehow they just keep damaging. Iskall assures him they're just.. very clumsy. So far Mumbo hasn't caught on.
- Ren's power is that hes a werewolf, but he only found out when he was in his late teens with his childhood friend Iskall. He still feels guilty about it, he did kill his best friend afterall. Or so he thinks. He's lived off grid ever since, too overwhelmed with grief and guilt to rejoin society. Most assume he's dead too - @ghastly-ghostie [Ren dropped Iskall off to Concorp as a last ditch effort, running away before he could see whether they took his friend in or not. They did, starting Iskall's plotline. Iskall told Concorp about Ren's abilities, triggering a panic in the Concorp ranks at the fact that Ren is a superhuman being created by some force other than their own project]
- Where does Void come from? The same place all powers come from.Little did they know, something survived the crash and has taken a human host. Maybe it's not the only one...No, that place is not Concorp. Concorp's original goal was to develop technology by reverse-engineering from a crashed alien spaceship. These aliens did gene-editing the way some people do nose jobs, so they adapted that technology, too.~DragonKay
- i've already said a bit about it in the discord but i have hermitopia cleo brainrot. joe being there was able to save her by giving her the regen powers along with her puppeteering telekinesis power. anyways cleo is presumed dead, sent by concorp into a mission as fodder basically until zit could arrive. but now there's is one (1) bitter undead vigilante against concorp that is presumed dead
- Stress’s name has a few meanings in relation to her. Whenever she gets too angry or /stressed/, she transforms into the StressMonster, a monster that feeds off of other people’s stress to become more powerful. Luckily, the monster is rarely seen, but does terrible things when she is. She’s one of the most feared creatures in Hermitopia. Stress hates her and tries her best to hide her from her friends, but it can backfire sometimes. - @guster-animations
- to follow-up on Joe being presumed dead: remember the time dilation incident he was stuck in? ConCorp figured it was best to cut their losses and not try to send anyone in to rescue him -- it would be a pointless mission. so they abandoned him, quietly announced that he had died in the line of duty, and put the affected area under high security clearance in order to prevent any future accidents. they figured he was already dead. and Joe figures, given that they up and abandoned him, maybe it's for the best that they continue to figure just that. he changed his last name to "Hills" -- a joke about the biome containing the time anomaly -- and otherwise proceeded to stay under the radar. he still uses the time dilation area as a base of operations, sometimes; it's very useful to have a hideout that people physically cannot get into/out of without his direct assistance. is he nursing a grudge, coming up with some convoluted scheme to get back at the paramilitary group for abandoning him? or does he just want to live a relatively normal life off the grid? who knows. that's the Joe [REDACTED] Hills difference. -@betweenlands
- False has some big scary power that is almost Eldritch she just happens to prefer a sword and doesn’t really care for who she works for as long as they’re paying... (they don’t need to know of the power that had harmed the ones she loves the most)
- Keralis once encountered Void sulking around where Xisuma worked. So fearful for his friend’s safety, he used his power on Void and told him to go away. Apparently the charm is still active, because if Void spots Keralis anywhere, he’ll turn tail and run. No, it’s not because he’s scared. Absolutely not.
- Grumbot serves as a sentient supercomputer created by Mumbo for Grian. Grian is using Grumbot for... various activities, all of which harmless, but a certain evil clone [Helsknight] has reverse engineered the technology. Concorp would like for Mumbo to give them the tech, but mumbo stuck some eyes to the computer, got emotionally attached, and refuses to give up his baby boy.
- When Impulse hears his friend/colleague Bdubs has been "taken over" by the mind-controller [Beef], he wants to go on an off-the-books mission to rescue him! Just giving up like they were told to isn't in his nature.Of course the rest of ZIT are with him. Heroes save people! It's what they do!~DragonKay
- Hermitopia is a mixture of sleek futuristic and cyberpunk in terms of style. It really depends on where you live and work (ik this doesnt include any hermits but whatever) - @ghastly-ghostie
- I wonder if Cleo's overactive healing powers affect herself and if any injuries she receives immediately heal over like wolverine or deadpool
- Ren used to be friends with Cleo too, but then she died. Strangely enough, she died on the same day that Ren killed Iskall. Ren’s lost all his friends. It’s hard living in isolation when there’s no one left that even cares about you. (Unless— no, that’s impossible.)
- I was thinking about Biffa, like you do. And Biffa would totally be some robot that was created by Project VEX in its early stages, however they realised fast that it was easier to use humans and give them powers, maybe its not their strong suit with robots. But Biff went sentient and glitched and was scrapped so hes just out there doing his thing. Hes a wildcard and plays for which side he wants at the time, sometimes he'll help or sometimes hes the one causing trouble. He looks pretty similar to a android like in Detroit:Become human but hes a bit uncanny and eerie, maybe its the eyes or the blood red armour. Powerwise, he's got more strength than a human does, mainly because he isn't limited like others are. try not to get punched by him, it'll hurt! [He's convinced Concorp will destroy him if they find out he's alive and Unaffiliated] -lucodak
- Going off of my thing about hermotopia impulse having friends everywhere....this may include the nho. Okay, they beat him to a pulp on one of his solo patrols once, but theey felt bad n patched him up! He has to keep it a secret. He brings them dinner alot. And checks in on them.
- Beef is the perfect cover-up for Bdubs’ desertion. ConCorp doesn’t want any other employees getting bright ideas, now, do they? Nor do they want employees getting nosy and trying to figure out where Bdubs went. They don’t have to tell people what Beef’s powers are. They just release that he developed powers after brain surgery, and a rumour that he was spotted lurking around before Bdubs suddenly betrayed ConCorp... and people draw their own conclusions. -Slimetek
- xB is pretty sure he’s supposed to be evil.I mean, that’s what sentient AIs usually end up being, according to a quick internet search. And yet he’s... not. Or maybe he’s just on the wrong side. - Slimetek
- Yes impulse is friends with the nho....what he doesn't know? He's....easily susceptible to hypnosis. Very easily.......Of course, after impulse is basically a very tired n warm cuddle bug, so, cuddle piles tend to happen after all information is spilled. He must've fallen asleep at their apartment again! Whoops! But it's okay.....they take good care of him if he does! [Beef is using his mind reading ability on Impulse without his knowledge, to make sure that he hasn't spilled their location and to predict the government's next moves. He feels slightly bad about it but feels that it is necessary for the nHo's survival.]
- So far, Grian has only ever encountered two of his clones, NPC Grian and Robot Grian. Technically three, if one were to count Ariana Griande. Grian doesn't really, but some do. [Ariana Griande is a popular musician in Hermitopia who is building a career using the magical stone of voice enhancement she recieved through the cloning process]
- To handle the two Grumbot issue: the one working with Helsknight can be Jrumbot, a legion of robot drones meant to work as Grumbot’s physical form that ended up being hijacked by Helsknight and turned against ConCorp
- There...aren’t a lot of “normal” animals left in Hermittopia. ConCorp took one look at the animals populating the city and decided that, hey, they could make some improvements. Species after species, they modified their behavior, appearance, internal structure, whatever they could fix, tweak, or add. They were just improving their lives and the lives of the citizens of Hermittopia, after all, but the new animals quickly outcompeted the old for resources and habitats. And if it makes it easier for ConCorp to stick a camera in one or two of them, or set up robotic animals to keep a better eye on the city, no harm, no foul, right?(Bonus: there is one (1) singular cat left in Hermittopia, resulting in a spy movie-style heist where two teams of Hermits attempt to “rescue” the cat simultaneously. The cat keeps wandering away from both teams. Shenanigans ensue)- Adonis [the cat is Jellie, who orchestrated the competition between Team ZIT and Cleo and Joe for her own entertainment, getting away from both parties in the end]
- The Leak:Not all mutations are the result of controlled experiments! If some alien tech got away from the crash site, concorp never would have picked it up. It might have got into nature, not as refined as they made it in the labs but causing little changes here and there. Ren may have become a werewolf from being bitten by a mutant wolf~DragonKay
- Impulse is able to use his powers to create illusions or male things appear invisible! Sort of. After all, light dictates what we see. It takes a lot of focus, though, so it's not that practical. -@rayveewrites
- The one thing Hels wasn't able to steal was the cloning technology, hence his hostility with Concorp -- he needs the cloning device, because how else is the void going to get a body of their own? - SilverWolf53
- *glances at the hermitopia werewolf ask* okay but what if the same mystery people who made ren into a werewolf also created jevin, and maybe Etho? idk if either of them have been given any hermitopia headcanons yet lol. but im sure the same people who made a werewolf could make a sentient slime (or perhaps rescue one) or make... whatever etho is. [Since the "second organization" is an incorrect assumption believed by Concorp, Jevin was created when he came in contact with a waterway contaminated by The Leak. Concorp assumes he was created by an opposing organization and not by accident, and therefore would like to bring him in along with Ren.]
- hermitopia - mumbo and grian were friends back when cloning experiments were still happening (or . as friendly as you can be with someone who's treating you like a lab rat), but after everything went wrong and grian escaped, mumbo has his memories wiped nd thats why he's trusted w iskall's stuff? bc he inherently remembers working on high-level things without knowing where he learnt it - muscle memory, yk?anyway massive angst with grian maybe recognising mumbo, but not the other way round, and trying to rekindle their friendship? and that's where grumbot comes in? -gin [Mumbo's memory was wiped so that he would forget the deadly purpose of Iskall's cybernetics, which he was working on at the same time as the Grian project in the background. Mumbo does not remember creating Grian's mechanical wings or Iskall's arm and eye, and he has no memory of either individual previous to "meeting" Iskall as the person assigned to his repair and upkeep.]
- Etho doesn't so much have powers as he is powers. All the powers the ‘original’ had went into creating him; now he just exists, as whatever sort of being he is. Not a human one, that much is obvious. ~DragonKay [Etho has no powers beyond the hivemind and his training, due to the error in the experiment that caused the clones]
- Mumbo started the button as a joke. A nonsense social expirement to see how much people want worthless signs of status. Unfortunately things got out of hand, and violent too. But hey! It's not his fault that the five special anomalous stones were misplaced into the prize dispenser! It was just chance that they fell into the hands of the clone of the worst gremlin in the city! Don't fire him! [He was not fired, but Cub was Decidedly Unhappy with him for a good long while]
- Void mostly trashes ConCorp facilities- trying to figure out if any of his siblings survived the spaceship crash, but occasionally he’ll pilfer from a bakery, because X is a health nut and Void just wants a gods damned cookie [Void very much dislikes unseasoned chicken]
- If the Stress Monster gets too big, too dangerous, Cleo is sworn under oath to Stress to zap her with her healing powers. Cleo doesn’t like to do it, overhealing a stressed Stress makes her so calm she gets knocked out for a couple of days, but Stress can take a small comfort in the fact that at least one person out there can stop her
- Ooh with the self healing Cleo she'd be able to develop a small amount of super strength, with how the mind keeps from going full throttle because it would destroy the body once she gets over it it's hysterical strength whenever she wants [it is quite painful, but a good backup plan]
- Being a hive mind of disposable clones that can spawn new copies at will, it can sometimes be hard for the Etho Entity to remember that it is indeed a big deal for other people when they get hurt. This can make him come off as callous to those around him, placing him firmly in the "villain" category in most citizen's books, but he really doesn't intend any harm!
- Grian used to be tall, but then the cloning happened. With each clone they stole a little bit of his height making him the short man he is today. He needs to capture those clones and get his height back. [Grian isn't entirely sure how to accomplish this, but he's dead set on trying! He misses being tall!]
- While Grian was perfectly fine with Ariana Griande living her own life, he did insist on one thing. Her "older brother" getting backstage access whenever she was on tour. He's very proud and supportive of her and her music career.
- Mumbo is perfectly content working in tech, watching the other hermits get up to crazy shenanigans. Except of course, there was that one time he was out testing some new gear and accidentally saved a crowd from some villains... and there were all those times after too...But hey! It’s not his fault that people like him, and he certainly isn’t going to get caught by Concorp during his after hours activities. [Mumbo considers himself an accidental hobbyist, not thinking he has the nerve or the skill for proper hero work. Time will tell if he's right about that or not...but unfortunately, he probably is. This should be fun.]
- There’s still some people overseeing VEX, even over Cub. They’re the ones that push Cub to do certain experiments or to scrap one. They’re the ones to give Cub the decision for Iskall’s life debt. Scar was under them too for the longest time, but eventually he wanted out. Cub still wanted in. They were still in the right, right? That’s what they tell him. He’s starting to doubt it. [Cub is way too invested in everything he's built to even think about going rogue now, but he does resent and occasionally question the judgement of his superiors increasingly as his project begins to fail more and more often. He also fears that Scar's shift in career will be seen as a betrayal, rather than as a tactical attempt to gain the company influence in the government.]
- Been thinking about the impulse + nho asks and just,,, what would happen if concorp/the government found out? It cant be good with interrogation/hypnosis on both sides (incase you cant tell,, the brainrot got me as well) (apologies if this is a mess im excited) [Hypno is assigned to set up an illusionary conversation to make Impulse reveal nHo location to Concorp and government agents while thinking that he's actually talking to the nHo in a random encounter]
- The one mind Beef can't read is Etho's. Their hivemind is just too weird for him to comprehend. If he ever tries to listen in, it sounds like just a bunch of static from an old TV.
- for hermitopia au!: Out of most of the heros, the most reckless may be team zit. sure they tell themselves they'll plan out missions but it's hard when they share a braincell and tango just runs in. impulse and zed share a look everytime and have to run after him to make sure he doesn't get too hurt or overwhelmed by the enemy. in their defence its hard to plan ahead against an enemy when you dont know what they are thinking.-lucodak ["You might not have known what they were thinking, Tango, but we'd generally like you to know what you're thinking!"]
- i bet ConCorp really wants to make it out like theres some secret shady organization creating all these people with mutations, rather than their own operatives deserting and their own failure to contain dangerous chemicals... whether its malicious coverups or just ignorance to the fact they messed up, wonder what would happen if that sort of thing came to light...? [If they found out that the unintentional superhumans were a result of the poorly-contained crash site? Cub would lose his job...maybe worse. If Cub found out (and he hasn't, yet) he would do everything in his power to keep that information from his superiors.]
- (paraphrased) Impulse accidentally walks in on heroes and agents breaking down the doors of the nHo's hideout and confronting them. Scar claims that they did so on information Impulse himself provided and thanks him for his service. Impulse, feeling confused and betrayed, resists Hypno's attempts to illusion him back to Scar's side and flees the scene with the nHo, knowing very little other than the fact that he doesn't want to be manipulated by the government any more (and still not knowing that Beef has been reading his mind)
- Impulse may have been labeled a traitor. But do you really think that Impulse, secret rebel, starting to learn how dangerous and corrupted Concorp really is, wouldn't let his best friends know about the danger they might be in? I think Team ZIT is more loyal to each other than to the government. - @mleemwyvern [ Impulse's first stop after escaping with the nHo is to find a place to secretly meet Tango and Zedaph and tell them about the way he was tricked. It takes a lot of explaining and a lot of trust, but they eventually decide to believe his claims and are left with a choice: will they openly go rogue and become a target along with Impulse and the rest of the nHo, or are they better off using their established image and reputation to keep an eye on the government heros' movements from the inside?]
- (two asks combined, paraphrased) Ren runs out of supplies and decides to head back into the city, confident in his ability to stay off the grid after so many years of experience and such a long time away. Once there, he runs into Doc, and they hit it off quite quickly. However, the more Ren talks the more Doc realizes - with his ex-Concorp knowledge - that Ren matches the description of Iskall's main target exactly. He warns Ren, who is then faced with the knowledge that Iskall is alive and assigned to kill him...so many questions and so many tears to follow...
- Why did Hermitopia start needing heroes? When the Unrestrained started to appear, if course. Why did the Unrestrained start to appear? A question asked a little less. When did the VEX program start? When did they start taking more risks? When did they stop caring about certainty and safety and shift towards trying to push boundaries they weren't ready to? People can be so enamoured with the concept of superhuman abilities, something bright and glorious and good- and perhaps they could have that too- they don't ask all the right questions. It's all an elaborate game of damage control, don't let the flashy heroics fool you, they've made mistakes, terrible, terrible mistakes, and now there are villains running loose with powers they fooled ConCorp into giving them. Are they villains? Are they victims? Does it matter? They're causing problems. [Project VEX has developed into a solution to its own problems, a self perpetuating cycle...one that Cub, as a businessman, is very familiar with. It's what keeps the wheels of industry turning. It's what keeps innovation creeping forward. It wasn't intentional, not this time...but if it keeps his project alive, he'll take it.]
- One time, Jevin had narrowly dodged being captured by Concorp. He was laying low in the forest out of town, when he had a run-in with some sort of wolf creature. Thankfully, claws and teeth couldn't exactly hurt him anymore, so he just played dead until it gave up.When the moon set, the wolf-thing slowly transformed into a human being. Ren was horrified at the thought he'd lost control and hurt someone- again- but Jevin assured him he was fine. Jevin got the feeling that the werewolf needed a friend, and Jevin himself needed a place to stay for a while... -RayveeWrites [Ren and Jevin are not currently in the same location, but they each have a means of contacting each other for help if needed]
- Worm Man wasn't a well- known super, but plenty of people have noticed that he seemed to vanish at the same time Team ZIT first started active duty. Those people have also noticed that one of the members has a very similar power set to WM.Officially, that's just a coincidence. Officially.-RayveeWrites [Zedaph was trying to get some unofficial practice while still in training in the VEX program]
- A common misconception is that Bdubs conjures up his vines from nowhere. He can't.Like any plant, his vines grow from seeds. They grow unnaturally fast, when Bdubs wills it, but they have to come from seeds. Where do these seeds come from, you may ask?Well, a long time ago, Bdubs ingested some strange fruits. Somehow, in wild defiance of human biology, the seeds contained in those fruits worked their way into his muscles and germinated. Some of the roots worked their way into his brain and fused into it; the rest spread through his muscles, grew beneath his skin, coiled around his bones. Thanks to the way the vines connected to his brain, Bdubs is able to command the vines, and their magic, at will. The vines produce seeds; some stay in his body to replace the old ones when they die, and most work their way into a pair of 'seed pods' in his wrists. Bdubs provides the nutrients, the energy; the vines provide the seeds, the magic. As an extra bonus: if the vines were to be totally removed from Bdubs' body, he would be at best extremely weak, and at worst dead. The vines have grown into his muscles, to the point where they've essentially replaced them in some areas. It's fortunate that they connected with his mind so early on, otherwise he'd be dead. -RayveeWrites [Concorp developed the fruit, and the fact that Bdubs is evidence of the unlikely success of that experiment makes them all the more angry at his betrayal]
- A lot of excellent xB information (it's too long to copy but please read it it's very good)
- Iskall has exactly one (1) failed assignment. That assignment? The kill or capture of Stress. Stress and Iskall have been, or should it be were now, friends for a very long time, since before Iskall even met Ren. So one can imagine the stress this causes Iskall, to be told to kill his one remaining friend that he knows is alive. Of course, this stress is quite enough to to Stress's Stress Monster into one it's strongest yet seen forms, allowing for Stress to then get away. (1/2)(2/2) Of course, Con Corp doesn't- and can never- know the true reason that Iskall cannot kill or capture Stress. If they knew, if they subjected Stress to the same hell he's in- no, that cannot happen. So Iskall hires False to protect Stress, to interfere whenever they send him on a mission for her. Luckily, False is good at keeping secrets when she wants to, and this one she'll keep. But as far as Con Corp knows, Iskall has severe stress and trauma from being a cyborg, and that's why he fails. [This all adds up to a monumental waste of Concorp's time and money, which also results in False getting payed, so all parties involved are happy except for Concorp >:)]
- Impulse would take a bullet for his teammates, and he knows they might be about to take one for him, keeping him updated on what's going on government side of this... slander. Still, Tango and Zed are great actors, and if he didn't know better, he might be a little worried they would *actually* be hunting him down in the name of justice [Tango and Zed are now being sent on missions to retrieve Impulse, which they must pretend to lose believably. They occasionally overestimate their friend's abilities and give him a few more close calls than he'd like, but overall the ruse is holding up.]

Vin’s Bad Batch Rant -ep 1
Tumblr media
Welcome to this part of Tumblr where, after I watch each BB episode, I’ll give you my detailed (yeah lmao as if) analysis and emotional ramble. SPOILERS AHEAD!! Let’s gooo (this is gonna be a long one, 70 minutes of ep!!):
First of all HOW DARE THEY. Filoniiiiii.
I was NOT expecting to start with a mission right before Order 66 are you fucking kidding me? I immediately went “Nope, not doing this.”
Look at the initial flashback of the clone wars. I was shaking, too many memories.
I haven’t watched Rebels but I know some things and I know who Caleb is. So HI Padawan Caleb, good to see you. But... wasn’t Kanan’s skin complex a bit darker?
It’s going nicely, some comedy thrown in, The Bad Batch being wholesome and just destroying clankas! Tech is growing on me.
Master Billaba why are you so disappointed omg ahah thank them immediately!?!?
Yo I fucking swear, I swear to god that when tbb was leaving and the Captain turned to receive Order 66 I jumped from the seat so fast. Like I yeeted myself so fucking far you cannot understand. Literally, fuck fuck fuck this. My anxiety and ptsd from the clone wars went 📈📈📈📈📈📈
Rip Jedi Master Billaba.
Run Caleb, just run.
(I’m so fucking glad to see The Bad Batch is immune to Order 66. Like so glad.)
Ok Crosshair and Hunter go rescue Mr Padawan there.
CROSSHAIR WHAT THE FUCK CHIILLLLL
nope nope nope this is not going well. I was wrong, I fucked up, I spoke too soon.
“Good soldiers follow orders” noooooooo
Hunter being wholesome omg, what a dad energy he has. I already love him.
Omg Hunter’s scream when Kanan jumps.
Crosshair literally chill dude, let’s all vibe together.
Also uhm... it hurts to see them all so pale. Please for the love of god fix that, it’s unsettling.
The way they return to Kamino so oblivious of what’s going on. It hurts
“Coruscant guard is here” YES SHOW ME FOX YOU COWARDS
Uhm.... Filoni can we talk for a second? Yeah I would like to ask you WHY? Y’know, was it really necessary to show the corpse of a dead Jedi and the hand with the lightsaber falling off? This scene is gonna be stuck in my mind forever. I’m crying.
Can we also talk about the music? Haunting, a masterpiece throughout the whole episode.
This is not a kid’s show.
Love that they have their own personal barrack filled with their stuff, so precious. Plus the Tooka doll, omg😩
The amount of times I’ve said “Crosshair chill” by now is over 9000. Spoiler: it gets worse.
Absolutely love the tension between Hunter and Crosshair. Live for these moments.
Tech listing the characteristics of his mates and then “my exceptional mind” LMAO brag about it.
“The attempt on my life has left me scarred and deformed”. “You can say that again” Wrecker OMG I wheezed. Echo’s like “bruh”. That’s what I need. Right here. God I love this.
“Still don’t think the regs are programmed?” This part made me shiver. It literally terrifies me. Also Tech is growing so much on me...
Hello Omega, nice to meet you.
“adolescent human female” Tech what the fuck it’s just a girl.😂 I love her accent and her smile! And she’s a medical assistant, love that too!!!!!!
Omega really said 😃😃👋🏼👋🏼
Here comes Tarkin ugh
Why does it hurt to see regular clones without helmet? Probably cause they all look like Fives, Kix, and the others. My heart is crying
Also, why is no one bald anymore? Guess that’s old fashioned uh... (yeah I know it’s because they want them to have no characterization whatsoever, but what’s wrong in being bald?) I miss my bald-with-crazy-tattooes- regs❤️
“Hello again” 😁😁👋🏼👋🏼 the way they look at her LMAO 😶😐😑🤔😕
Food fight, yay! (Crosshair was just trying to chill but ooop guess it’s time to fight)
EXCUSE ME?!?!?
No seriously. They really threw AZ in curing Echo’s injury??? You don’t know how much I was crying. I thought they were gonna throw a “Fives” in and I wasn’t ready at all, not now. Glad they didn’t but still... fuck me Filoni
Look at Echo’s reaction. Fuck. He’s scared as hell, probably though he was back on Skako Minor being a lab rat.
Yeah what a shocking revelation for them AZ.
Headcanon: Tarkin hates his life. He’s so bitter.
The fact that they’re being tested against real threats and guns while they have stupid toy guns it’s so fucking wrong and ridiculous.
“Five are all that remain” but Echo’s not genetically enhanced. That means... (i was putting 2 and 2 together)
Here we go with a mission... this stinks from miles away just telling you
Omega and Hunter talks, ughh the feelings
The way Omega calls softly Hunter’s name ugh I’m sold. They already have a bond “something about her I can’t figure out.” 😩😩
“I guess kids aren’t your area of expertise” Crosshair what a subtle shade😂
Crosshair was not really going to shoot at kids and elder people. Right?
Oh hello Saw, good to see ya. Always a pleasure.
GENERAL SKYWALKER AND CAPTAIN REX mention here we goooo🤪🤪🤪
This is chilling and unsettling....
Great a snitch droid or whatever the fuck that is.
*dramatic stare between Crosshair and Hunter* plus toothpick action going on
Crosshair literally stfu
And here’s Tech dropping facts. Omega’s an enhanced clone. I wonder how they made it possible for her to be a female taking Jango’s DNA but whatever, this is Star Wars.
I am legitimately pissed that Crosshair threw away the toothpick. Justice for toothpick.
Omg she found a picture of the squad😭😭😭😭😭 flashback to Rex’s picture with Echo, Fives and Cody I’m crying
Look at them walking right into the trap.
Hunter looks totally offended but c’mon, you know what you were going against.
Yo, I’m really here trying not to SIMP and they fucking throw TBB in their blacks on my face. I don’t have to look at them, I don’t have to— HELLO HUNTER, how’s you booty doing?
Crosshair CHILL amigo ok io quando mi incazzo devo passare all’italiano quindi o ti calmi o ti calmi, capito brooo??!! Le bestemmie che mi fai tirare.
Ok he’s struggling, I see that. No need to be an ass tho 😶
“I know it’s not your fault. You can’t help it.” Yes I’m crying why aren’t you. The way he looks at her... I’m dead.
CT-9904. Okay... also why did they have to kick Hunter. He’s so precious, trying to defend him regardless of him being under the effect of the chip.
Oh shit oh fuck oh shit here we go. (I didn’t want to watch this part.)
Ehm, Hunter why did you have to lay down like that, you sexy beast. I’m waiting for a gifset of him like that. I’m waiting.
Not Omega copying his moves😂😂😂😂😂
“Abnormal individual” lmao the look on Tech and Hunter’s faces. So done.
Ugh the anxiety is spiraling in me. Also how did they suit up so fast lmao.
Oh no. Oh no. NO NO NO
oh shit.
He looks good tho ngl🥴 (toothpick’s back.)
Oh the look on Hunter’s face, the music... breaks my heart.
Oh I was kinda ready for this part but still..... 😭😩
Yo can you not throw the toothpick away in every damn scene please? That’s my emotional support character object.
Yo jumpscare I lost 10 years of my life what the fuck
The amount of times Wrecker got hurt just in this episode is concerning.
Your move. AHHHHHH
Yoooo Omega with that blaster rifle saved the day😃✨
BYE Crosshair see ya later 💔
Kaminoans hiding to the Empire that BB escaped? This is gonna be no good I’m telling you
Omega is precious. Must be protected.
Dad Hunter DAD HUNTER DAD HUNTER IM SOBBING
Short list of friends. One is on coordinates J-19. Saleucami sector system. CUT LAWQUANE confirmed. Fuck yes. I’m happy. Now I can rest.
Sike I will never rest. Strap in and let’s gooo
Well well well. I LOVED IT. FILONI THANKS FOR THE UNWANTED FEELINGS that made me remind I’m a human capable of emotions❤️ I owe you one but I’m also hurt and also in love. Yes, there are things that did not sit really nicely with me: the obvious whitewashing, Omega being a clone of Jango (yes I was kinda expecting it but as I think through about it... makes less sense. Literally how?), but overall I enjoyed it.
Also if you wanna chat about TBB and feelings dm me or send in an ask! See ya bad bitches💕💕

What do you think connecting to a warframe feels like? We've established (spoilers ahead) that they are all at the very least capable of independent movement and some if not all are fully conscious, so they all gotta have some brain in there. I think it probably varies from feeling like you're trying to control a wild animal to sitting down for a neeting with a really smart but scary employer, on a spectrum of Valkyr to Vauban, respectively.
We know that the original warframes were made by fitting a human with a transference bolt and infecting them with the Helminth strain of infestation. The ego of the subject doesnt seem to survive but some traces of their psyche and memories seem to be present even in the warframes that the tenno build for themselves, and I bet you can feel them in there when you transference in.
Side note, two individual copies of the same warframe meeting each other must be insane because, same brain different dudes.
im thinking it feels pretty dreamlike, like you’re having a dream that you’re someone else, or an animal?
im also headcanoning that each individual frame is unique and made of a different person as the “base” instead of being clones of an original, and i have like a bunch of different theories why they become specific models of frames:
maybe specific personality traits or talents become the basis for a frame’s model (excalibur, volt, and mag have pretty generic base traits, to explain why there’s so many of them)
the person making the frame decides what model they’ll be. might be as a punishment or something considering what happened to umbra
the only exception are copies of umbra, since they’re all basically clones from the same source. im guessing any interactions between umbras will get really awkward lol

YES YES YES FINALLY I CAN TALK ABOUT THIS!
IM NOT SURE IF IVE POSTED THIS ANYWHERE ELSE BUT I THINK TOKOYAMI IS LIKE SHIROKUMO!
ANON I LOVE YOU AND YOUR GIANT NOGGIN. NOW I WILL PROVIDE YOU EVIDENCE AS TO WHY TOKOYAMI COULD BE A NOMU! I am not sure if the person who originally submitted as anon wants me to tag them in this, so I’ll be leaving them as Anon. :)
In this essay I will..
LMAO but seriously I will be comparing Tokoyami to the other advanced nomu. I’ll mostly be comparing Tokoyami and Kurogiri, as these are the most similar to each other. Spoiler from the manga ofc. Plz enjoy loves!
Anon made a fantastic point about the physical similarities between characters. The most prominent part of this theory is that Tokoyami and Dark Shadow both share many physical characteristics with the Nomu.
Tokoyami/Dark Shadow, Kurogiri, Hood, and the USJ Nomu all share very similar color schemes. This is important because Horikoshi tends to use physical appearances a lot to connect characters, even when it comes to tiny details like 2 dots on a hero costume signifying the same designer. We know that Horikoshi likes to use dark purples while drawing/designing villains. Examples include: AFO(purple + black colors), Nine(White+ Purple colors), Manga Vol 26- “Tomura Shigaraki:Origin '' Cover(Purple), Overhaul(Purple+Green colors), ect. The most advanced/high-end Nomu so far(Hood, Kurogiri, USJ Nomu) all have a color scheme of Purple/Black bodies, Yellow eyes, and some red details. Now this color scheme is actually shared between Tokoyami and Dark Shadow. Tokoyami carries the red, black, and yellow and Dark Shadow has purple and yellow.
Besides just color schemes they share physical attributes. We know that Nomu must be built off of pre-existing humans(dead or alive I believe). Most of the Nomu have some remnant of their human body, even if it is extremely beefed up or including more limbs. Kurogiri is the first Nomu we have observed that still holds his original body(his is just covered by smoke, but Shirokumo is still in there). It is entirely possible that Tokoyami’s body is technically dead, but reanimated just like Kurogiri.
Dark Shadow’s sentience is a key factor in this theory as well. He is so different from most other quirks in the series. There are only three quirks in the series that have any form of sentience. I will be focusing on Twice’s quirk, but I would like to create a separate theory for the other two. Twice’s quirk obviously creates living/sentient clones of people. However it can be argued that these clones are more like AI than actual sentient people. These quirks aren’t exactly alive and they are like AI programmed to be as similar to their source material(copied individual),therefore they will do what is most similar. Dark Shadow is a completely separate entity with completely separate emotions. We know this because there are things that Dark Shadow likes to do that Tokoyami does not, and vice versa. Many people think that Dark Shadow is a more honest extension of Tokoyami’s emotions, but not only is Dark Shadow a collection of emotions, but thoughts. In the fight against Ectoplasm, we can  see that Dark Shadow is able to think and strategize on his own without Tokoyami needing to tell him what to do.
This doesn’t really count as evidence, but its something I find to be kinda sus. While at the training camp, the day of the attack Tokoyami says “Revelry in the Dark” 3 times. Its specifically pointed out as odd by Uraraka, most likely meaning that it is not something he has said before. She also seemed a bit unnerved by him saying it. I wonder if it was some kind of code phrasing to let the League know that everything was in order for the attack. Other than that, I don’t recall Tokoyami using the phrase later in the series.
Next I am going to clear up some things that might disprove the theory:
Problem: He’s far too loyal to the heroes, and he cares alot about the people around him.
It is completely reasonable that Tokoyami is faking it. This basically follows the same logic as most traitor theories. Tokoyami is known to be a very secretive individual and people don’t know too much about him. There is also a chance that he could be programmed not to know that he is a nomu/traitor, however I don’t really have any evidence for that and it seems unlikely.
Problem: He connonically has a mother, and a family...
Not too surprising, but its definitely an issue. In Vol 1, Part 3 we hear specific mentions of Tokoyami’s mother and later in the paragraph the word is family. So if he does have a family, do they/ how long have they known he’s a Nomu? There is a very little chance that they wouldn’t know, but there is a scenario in which they wouldn’t. Tokoyami could have “gone missing” when he was younger and “found” when he was older. We don’t know how long it takes to create an advanced nomu, so he could have been missing for a month to a couple years. We can speculate however, that it doesn’t take long. It only took about 4 months to alter Shigaraki, so maybe it doesn’t take too long to create an advanced Nomu. If he was young enough, he wouldn’t have a quirk and it wouldn’t be suspicious if he returned home with one. A blood test would most likely match as well, so there wouldn’t be any doubt that it was the Tokoyami family’s child. It wouldn’t be surprising if they did know. We know AFO has connections everywhere, so Tokoyami’s family could just be a fake one set up for the sake of making Fumikage look more normal.
Problem: Why has the league targeted him in the past?
Lemme explain. We’ve had two instances(that I remember) that members of the league have directly attacked Tokoyami. Once when Mr.Compress snatched him, and of course that fight with Dabi in 271. This has a simple answer, they don’t know. We know Shigaraki doesn’t tend to tell the other members stuff and usually just resorts to giving them tasks. There is a chance that Shigaraki himself might not know, but that all depends on whether or not he knows that Kurogiri is a Nomu. I don’t know if he knows but either way it doesn’t really matter.
Actually, one little tidbit about this, during the USJ attack Kurogiri sent Tokoyami to the Squall Zone. The Squall Zone is a very dark area, so fighting off villains would have been very easy for Tokoyami. So part of me believes that Kurogiri did that on purpose, and he and Shigaraki definitely do know.
I am still looking for more evidence of this theory, but this is what I have so far. If there is anymore evidence that you have found it I would love to hear! I mentioned earlier in the theory that there are two other quirks that is similar to Dark Shadow’s complete sentience. Those two quirks are AFO and OFA. There is a slight possibility that Tokoyami could have a carry-down quirk given to him by somebody else, or Dark Shadow himself is a previous user.  I don’t even know where to begin on that one, but whatever.
And remember it just a theory, a bird theory! Thanks for reading!

Going to post-game au scenarios
Scenario 1:
Through circumstances V is empoyed to get back johnny’s cryo’d body and install a spare copy of his engram and deliver him to the version of Alt that got herself a body in the ttrpg (presumably).
V has 0 intentions of treating him like our johnny because he ISNT so there’s lots of weird tension and V is between bitter and sad because that’s His Face but Not Him and they’re ommiting as much info as possible because, frankly its none of his business whatever their story with a different version of johhny silverhand’s brain is (not that he knows there even was one in teh first place and they’re keeping their lips sealed about that hopfully forever). And johnny can tell something weird is up because  grumpy, efficient V being and kinda brusque is fine by him, a merc personality like any other, but sometimes v looks at him with a weird intensity with an angry kinda painful look like he killed their cat or some shit. Obviously things don’t go as planned but im not sure how yet.
Bittersweet stroy/character study about V’s complicated relationship to johnny, te effects of his absence, the fact that despite this one is no V’s it’s still him to a degree with the same voice and shitty sense of humour. About who this new johnny is without all the character development, and him having to go through the realization that he isn’t the original and the world and people he knew must be different now (and how much of that slipped through the cracks of their connection with V’s johnny). The strange thought that This Alt and johnny get to have a happy reunion and the contrast in V’s johnny and alt’s interactions and ending.
Scenario 2:
V finds a clone of johnny at an arasaka lab but it's a child and they feel weird n conflicted about leaving him there so v steals him away and they think it would be better to leave them with someone safe but feels kinda responsible and also knows arasaka might go after them to make sure there is no loose ends. So i have 2 paths:
A) Takes care of him for long enough to find a safe place for him and expose arasaka and he gets happily adopted by whoever. This is your classic merc travels with kid. Probably an action/comedy á la Terminator. Or a total drama like Road To Perdition.
B) They raise him. Either they travel back and forth or they join the aldecaldos permanently, but V is officially his guardian. It’s akward and strange for everyone involved and it’s all about bonding with your new unexpected kid, about v’s failings and successes as a parent of a kid they didn’t plan in making part of their life, about individuality (again, lol) and making a clear distinction between him and their johnny, nature vs nurture like how much johnny is just...himself and what changes when being brought up in a community or with a merc parent.
And when he grows up, the past comes a-knocking and theres a lot of drama about it.And then maybe you get your classic YA novel scene where the elder who’s raised you dies when their past catches up to them and bites them in the ass and they’re like “oh no ive been waiting to tell you about this shit im so sorry u found out like this im so sorry *RIP*” and so our young protagonist gets thrust into a traumatic coming of age adventure to learn who they are and what to do about it or something all while having flashbacks of their childhood both the good and the things that looking back where super sus but he didn’t quite understand why they felt sus cos he had no context for them

i guess i just don't see how our continuous and unique consciousness can be maintained by ions that are constantly being used and replenished by the body? im not trying to discredit your view btw, i dont know really what i believe in but i think consciousness is a very interesting field
to be fair you could ask the same question about our physical bodies when they get fully replaced, ship of theseus style, every 7 years or so. there's not really a good answer, but imo the core issue im grappling with is distinct from the continuity of consciousness - it's more about the perspective we experience life from. if you perfectly replicate your mind, either physically (biologically clone it and end up with an exact copy) or digitally (train an AI whose responses to stimulus are identical to your own), i feel like it's a safe assumption that your perspective wouldn't immediately transfer to that copy or be split between your original mind and the backup. you'd still be experiencing the world from the same physical brain, and in fact you and your clone would begin having unique experiences and be functionally different individuals immediately after awakening from the procedure. regardless of what other people perceive as "you", your own personal sense of life and death are inextricably tied to the brain you were born with

Just a question. Being a die hard GW fan that i am im kind of nervous to check out Frozen Teardrop, would you recommend checking it out or staying away from it?
I think that depends on what you want from it.
Like, if you want a continuation of Gundam Wing - with the same characters you know and love, growing and overcoming new and exciting hardships that develop them as individuals and as friends? Stay away from Frozen Teardrop.
If you want to see 1xR be cemented as canon? Maybe read Frozen Teardrop. They’re endgame, but then you have to ask yourself - was it worth it? Was it really worth the sacrifice of reading this? Are they even Heero and Relena anymore? You just don’t know anymore. Some part of you hopes they’re nanobot clones like fake!Zechs, so that you don’t have to think about what kind of horrible, sick asshole not only thought up the plan of cryogenically freezing a couple traumatized teenagers to use like tools at a later date, but that their loved ones totally agreed with this plan.
If you want to look at pretty art and check out the new Gundam designs? Totally check out Frozen Teardrop. It is pretty. It’s so nice to look at, you almost forgive the fact that they are essentially copying&pasting the same character design over several different characters and handwave it as ‘they’re blood-related.’
I’ve only managed to read half of it, though; the translation I found online only got to Nocturne V. I only know what happens in later chapters through online summaries. If you’re interested in reading it, you can read it here. (If anyone else has links to more chapters in English, please send it my way~)
If you still want to know what kind of happens in Frozen Teardrop but don’t actually want to read it (which is understandable), you can check out @gladyscontrerasart - who did a short comic collection called ‘GW Frozen Teardrop Shenanigans’. It’s hilarious and perfectly captures the GW fandom’s reaction to FT in general.
