come trick-or-treat in my inbox requesting ficcies and I’ll either treat you to some fluff or humor or trick you with a horribly twisted sad AU  (I’ll use a random generator to pick trick or treat) send me “trick or treat” and a character(s) or ship in my inbox and I’ll write you a short little thing (I’ll be doing these all of October so send away!) so ro and I are being us and taking a list of rather fluffy sounding prompts and doing our best to twist them into our tricks. this one is  “The smell of campfire smoke in the air.“

Koushi spins the leaf in his hand idly.

Finding the little leaf with the smiley face cut out of it on his counter makes his heart race and his stomach swoop with anticipation.  Finding the leaf means things are going to change.  Finding the leaf means his pleas have been heard.

Finding the leaf means Asahi is on his way.

“Oh, Koushi,” Kiyoko says when she spots the leaf on his counter, voice dripping with sympathy and sorrow.

Daichi gives him a long, long look but doesn’t say anything when he spots the dark leaf.

Ryuunosuke spots the leaf and meets Koushi’s eyes, understanding shining through his steely look.

He’s hollow.  Bones feather light and heart pumping dust through his veins.

The leaf skitters across his counter, scratching sound echoing through his empty kitchen.  He shudders as the noise buries itself in his brain and crackles through his veins until it can sink into his very bones, the skittering, scattering, crackling sound of his past and present and future warring with each other to see which will go up in flames first.

He wanders out of the empty kitchen and the leaf skitters after him.  It follows him from room to empty room like a lost puppy, claws clacking across the bare floor.

The leaf sits on the windowsill in his cavernous bedroom and he stares at it dimly, barely even recognizing the significance of it as he pads over and unlocks the window.  The sun is bright in the sky and fluffy white clouds float along.  There’s a tug of nostalgia as he looks at them, a distant thing easily overwhelmed by the yawning chasm just under his heart.

He’s been hollowed out.  Skin pulled tight over nothingness and nerves firing haphazardly.

A cold breeze hits his skin as he settles himself on the floor, staring up at the ceiling like it might hold an answer for him.  It hasn’t the hundreds of other times he’s done this and it doesn’t this time either.  He can hear the leaf hit the floor and twitch towards him in careful little bursts like it’s afraid he’s going to get up and leave.

Slowly.  Cautiously.

It scratches against his wrist and he picks it up.  He holds it above his head and spins it, gaze distant.

The room darkens around him and still he stares up at the ceiling, watching the shadows grow until he’s sure they’re going to swallow him whole.

His pleas have been heard.

Things are going to change.

Asahi is on his way.

He just has to believe it.

He just has to be willing to accept Asahi’s help.

He’s wiling.  Of course he is.

What choice does he have left?

The leaf in his hand bursts into flames and Koushi watches as it covers his hand and works its way down his arm.  He closes his eyes as it catches his shirt and races across his chest for his heart.

Warmth caresses his cheek.

“I’m here, Koushi.”

Morisuke Yaku x Nishinoya Yuu — Haikyu!!

- They’re t4t!! (Trans for trans)

- They go on double dates with Kiyotana and asasuga

- Rollerskating dates!! Yaku has a love for rollerskating, and when he convinced Noya to try it, he found an interest in it as well. So now they rollerskate together as a quick date idea!

- Nishinoya got Yaku custom rollerskates on their one year anniversary, and they’re now his most prized possession

- In Timeskip, Yaku loves fishing with Noya. They do it together every Monday and Wednesday

- Noya falling for Yaku was love at first sight, when Karasuno walked into Nekoma for their first practice game. It was just a wave of ‘Woah bro, I’m in love with this guy’

- Yaku’s realization was when they had their actual game. When he saw the determination on Nishinoya’s face, it was over for him. It was also a huge shock for him, bc he thought he was straight until that day.

- They make pillow forts and have pillow fights all of the time

- They share a lot of their trans experiences with each other, and they both give each other tips they know

- Yaku taught Nishinoya to cook, because the man couldn’t even cook noodles right

- In timeskip, they adopt two dogs, a rabbit, AND A KID. Their daughter’s name is Nanako and she is the light of their lives

- Whenever they have arguments, Nishinoya texts Yaku like 5 minutes later with, “Baby… pwease forgive me, that wasn’t me….. 🥺🥺🥺” (Yaku hates it but he forgives him anyways and they cuddle)

- Nishinoya has a littlespace, and Yaku adores being his caregiver. He has so much fun with him when he’s little, and he’s really good with kids anyway.

- Whenever Yaku is on his period, he cries a lot and gets angry really easily. Yuu deals with it really well, leaving him alone when he needs it, and giving him cuddles and reassurance when he asks for it. He also buys him a lot of soup, like a shit ton..
