Sorry if you’ve been asked this before, but since they live in New Jersey, which of the batfam do you think can pump their own gas?

This fact about new Jersey annoys me so much I don't know why it annoys me but is does anyway Cass is the only one who can't pump their own gas even if she's in another state or country she will get someone else to pump her gas

honestly ive been so happy with the response to sebek bc i was actually not feeling as confident w him as i was w the other 3. hopefully i can do some little sketches w him soon, im imagining him going totally overboard in fights, like some rando has vandalized a brick wall and instead of tackling him sebek shoots lightning and fries him to a crisp in the middle of town square

on thursday i had a friend drive me to the dentist and within 20 minutes of driving we almost hit two separate people jaywalking on active four lane roads. they didnt even wait for the street to semi-clear up while drivers waited at the red lights in front of said street, which is the minimum id expect from jaywalking. just slowly strolling making direct eye contact with the driver about to hit them. what is with these people??? like listen im ngl i jaywalk on this one specific street near my house but i ALWAYS make sure the street is clear (and theres no cross walk anyway so its my only option).

like if you’re gonna walk into the street technically unprotected which like. everyone does it at least sometimes. it should not be your first option and it should be done with the utmost caution. like if there is no crosswalk in sight for a long ways and you have very clear visibility both ways to verify there is no car coming and you know the traffic patterns in the area aka you know there isn’t usually gonna be some car appearing super fast out of nowhere and you’re able-bodied enough to move quickly and efficiently. that’s one thing. or like it drives me insane as a driver but i also understand it if you’re like driving through the heart of a busy college town or something, you’re going to have to stop and start all the time bc what is technically the law will never be stronger than the dominant pedestrian culture there. society will never be able to stop people in these scenarios from doing their thing. but like… it is a very different thing to just walk into the street whenever you want and expect oncoming cars to stop for you especially if it’s a super busy area. like at the bare minimum have common sense and common courtesy

My opinion on jaywalking is that it is generally harmless in the situations it is committed most, but still a bad thing overall. A large amount of people know to look both ways and not to cross the street when a car is coming. If a person is not careful and the driver is not paying attention, though, a car could hit them. It also does more pverall damage to the infrastructure and the rest pf the crosswalks, because if people cross wherever, the crosswalks will be neglected and they will lack critical upkeep. This will result in less places to cross the street overall.

That is only mentioning crossong where there isn't a crosswalk. Crossing over a crosswalk where there is a sign that says don't cross, especially in the city, is very dangerous. Those only appear when the lights are red at the intersections and it is safe to cross. Crossing with a green light and an inattentive driver is very dangerous, and could get you killed.

Now, does it deserve to be a crime? Yes, yes it does. Should it be punishable by fines or jail time? Hell no. It's a minor crime. The only victim is the walker. Don't throw them into holding, give them a slap on the wrist and a 10 minute lecture from a fat sergeant with a flat voice.

That said, I have no experience with crosswalks. I live in the country. All I know is from shows and movies. Common sense allowed me to figure the rest out.
