some etiquette tips for quotev migrants
If you enjoy a post (piece of art, text post, writing, gifset, etc) interact however you would have on quotev!
Reblogging is like reposting an activity, but with a permanent link to op, and you can add your own thoughts in the tags or on the post itself. Very nifty. It's that little 🔄 symbol at the bottom.
Likes are a good short-form validation, and also a way to save posts so you can find them again later.
Comments are good for sharing your thoughts without having the post on your account for whatever reason.
Tags are optional, but useful for both organization and extra commentary that will stay on your blog (unless someone likes your tags. Then they may copy/screenshot and add to the post, or copy them in their own tags.)
if you trigger tag something, don't censor the trigger. That will only make it harder for people who have that tag blocked to avoid it.
"Copying is ok" rules for tags don't apply to art; art is to be reblogged, not copy-pasted, unless given permission from the artist. It's also polite to credit an artist if you use their art for a header/pfp, and/or ask beforehand!
That said, gifs are free game pretty much, since they have built-in credit to whoever uploaded them.
When posting images it's helpful to use the alt text feature to add a description, or add one in the body of the post below or above the picture, since A; it's helpful for those who use screen readers, and B; sometimes pictures don't load and the description is sometimes vital to tell what the heck's going on, screenreader or no.
Ask boxes are for things you don't mind being publicly viewed; messages are for private discussions.
Anonymous asks are optional, meaning some people may have them turned off. Anon hate is unfortunately common and many people opt to avoid it.
Block and report bots on sight. Report for spam/bot violations; even if they're an nsfw bot, reporting for sexual content won't do anything to get rid of them. Bots are pretty recognizable when you know what to look for, as their blog will either be blank/have a insta model pfp and generic URL, or...be full of untagged porn.
Bots come in waves; there'll be a lot at once, then they'll die off to a handful, then eventually come back. It's a neverending battle!
You can block tags to avoid seeing content you don't like. To do this you go into "account" in the settings menu, and type whatever you wanna block in the content filters section.
Turn on timestamps! That way you can know if info is outdated, or just in general have a time frame for when something was made.
Block rather than argue. You'll be happier in the long run. Hell, even if someone just kinda gets on your nerves or yucks your yum, but especially if it's serious, since reporting does next to nothing and arguing just won't change someone who's stuck in their ways, and it's not your job to fix everyone who's wrong. Block their account and if you want, block their name on the filtered content. Chances are they won't even know or care so don't worry that it's rude.
Most of all, have fun!
That's all I can think of for now. My askbox is open if there are any questions!

A load of beans have come back to Tumblr recently-- so here's a few TUMBLR TIPS to help y'all find your footing-- from someone who's been here since 2011.
These are just tips you don't have to follow them, but in my experience they make your blog more appealing to others, and thus get you more traction and interaction.
Tumblr media
My askbox is open to folks who have further questions, and this post may be edited to expand on tips [or more may be added in the future].
Tumblr media
PINNED POSTS have been the meta for the past couple years now. It's a catch-all for your rules, character info, affiliates, and other links. It's also genuinely mobile friendly and convenient for folks unfamiliar with your characters/blog. You are more likely to be overlooked without one, mainly because it's THAT revolutionary in the Tumblr RPC. A GOOD RULES PAGE goes a long way. Basic rules can include things like: your stance on godmoding/auto playing, how NPCs in threads are handled, shipping, and who you prefer to interact with [including any fandoms you prefer to avoid]. Your rules can be edited at any point and time, and expanded upon as needed. Don't think of them as something static, but rather a dynamic document. DON'T BE AFRAID TO REACH OUT TO OTHERS seriously it's scary, but folks don't so much find YOU as you find THEM. This is just how things are nowadays. When you make your promo, be sure to have your @ there or a link to your page, because otherwise folks have to go into the tags to locate you. WRITING WITH YOURSELF IS FINE especially if you have multiple blogs/characters. It showcases your writing, creativity, and thread style. Just don't call it 'playing with yourself' cuz you might get the bombastic side eye. USE XKIT AND THE BETA EDITOR clipping threads is made easier with these tools, and posts look better. There's lots of writers who prefer to see things neat and orderly. You may also see POST DIVIDERS and fancier icons-- those are all the rage but you can usually get by without [but if you DO want some there's loads of talented creators who make them, just BE SURE TO CREDIT THEM].

Alien Abduction AU - Species list + info
This is a list of the alien species and traits that I've come up with for some of the TWST characters - I mostly mushed certain animal traits together and built off of that lol. If anyone has any thoughts about my ideas then do feel free to let me know! My askbox is open for messages!
[POSTED A DRAFT BY MISTAKE - IMMA EDIT AND REBLOG THIS ONCE IT'S DONE]
Tumblr media
Edonal
Hegehog-like aliens with a similar build to caterpillars.
Edonals are a species that is shorter by average, standing at an average height of 4'8-5'6 - although someay be taller or shorter depending on genetics.
They have eight limbs - two to four being used for walking whereas the others function as hands. Their choices on how they use their limbs can be affected by their need or desire to multitask, or the need to have extra stability for whatever reason.
Edonal communities have a mix of diurnal and nocturnal Edonals in order to maintain a smoothly running society that remains active both night and day.
Riddle, Sam
Tumblr media
Avian
Trey (Violet-Green Swallow), Rook (Martial Eagle), Crowley (Crow)
Tumblr media
Mairan
Butterfly or Moth-like aliens with more human-looking limbs and faces.
Mairans have eerily human-like faces and limbs, however they are often far more slender to allow their wings to lift them off of the ground. Their body - besides their wings - is protected by chitinous plating and their mouths actually open up more similarly to mandibles than human mouths.
Some species of Marian may grow soft, fluffy fur on top of their chitinous plating as an adaptation to survive colder climates or to blend in better with their surroundings.
Cater (Orange-Tipped Oakworm Moth), Vil (Mourning Cloak Butterfly), Epel (Chalk Hill Blue Butterfly)
Tumblr media
Nelsian
Fox-like aliens with much shorter, rabbit-like, tails and stronger legs. They are also, on average, much fluffier than normal foxes unless they're adapted specifically for hot environments.
Ace (Red Fox), Kalim (Fennec Fox), Idia (Silver Fox), Ortho (Cybernetic Silver Fox)
Tumblr media
Thesti
Canine species with a large range of appearances depending on their genetics. 'Thesti' is generally seen as an umbrella term containing many subspecies.
Deuce (Pitbull), Ruggie (Hyena), Jack (Wolf), Sebek (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel), Silver (Saluki)
Tumblr media
Lonkat
Feline aliens with Scorpion tails and chitinous plating in some areas of the body. Lonkat Royalty is made up of those who are similar to Terran 'big cats' - whereas common society and lesser nobles are more similar to either domesticated or 'lesser cats' Such as Cheetahs or Pallas's Cats.
Leona (Lion), Trein (Persian Cat)
Tumblr media
Chel'ir
An aquatic species that serves as an umbrella category for many subspecies.
The Chel'ir are the newest species to have joined the galactic union.
Jade, Floyd, Azul

Rilkol
Jamil

Hello! I know you use to do banner and headers idk if you still do I just wanna ask about tips making them!
I wanna draw my banner and headers on procreate and I like to know the size you use?? I’ve been trying and they come out blurry a bit and I’m just worried about the quality ( ≧Д≦)
Hi^^ I do sometimes but I post them on @omi-resources (I have more info there about this!)
Last time I did one was with 1280x700 px and it turned out okay-ish, I think. Aaaand well, if the problem persists, i suggest always going bigger. Or check your settings!
Make sure it says “Bicubic” interpolation, bilinear, high dpi (like really high 300+), and try not to resize a picture/object too much.
Also tumblr sometimes seems to post blurry pics but put them in your drafts for a few to marinate and then come back to check if they are still pixelated. Phones and iPads tend to do this! So i suggest to check with your computer too!
If you still have questions my askbox is always open ^^ Good luck Nonnie!!!

Hello Tumbler! Uh, is that how an intro works? I’m 307, and I made an account on this site because I saw that Isopod visited it a lot and I think it would be fun to have :0 I’m sharing this other with the other longterm wing kids… I should probably tell them that. Add more later! Buh-bye!
Hey. Uh. Arven here. Tri said I could post art on here, I might post paintings. Probably only going to hoard writing tips and aesthetic pictures, supposedly that’s what Isopod used this website for when I was their age and that sounds pretty fun? I suppose?
307 back again! You guys can call me Tri, most do! I’m just a fun happy creature, I collect plushies and uh…. Hang out with my friends! Yeah! I SHOULD GET MY BOYFRIEND TO MAKE HIS INTRO I’M OFF TO DO THAT
Tri is real excited about this, I’m having her type stuff out because the keyboard is too warm right now… anyways, my name is Celsius, call me whatever, I like roller coasters, architechture, whatever old scifi books I can get my paws on, and Tri, my wonderful partner! God I- HEY DON’T ADD MY GUSHING TO THIS I CAN SEE YOU GIGGLING AND TYPING IT
Mimi here! I’m gonna use this to find fandom friends, post edits, y’know, be a real internet kid! I might try posting music here too… we’ll see!!!! One of these days I’m gonna get everyone their own little sets of borders and stamps and silly graphics but it’s 1 am and Tri’s staring at me with that “please hurry up so I can pass this to the next room” face so BAI!!!!! (^ω^)
Ossi here. Uh… I’ll use this? Maybe? What is this thing- hmm, Chai’s telling me it’s a social media, and that I can find sewing patterns and recipies… cool? Chai’s turn to write!
My name is Chai and I do NOT want to fucking write on this dumb blog that 307 is setting up or whatever. If I do ever post it’ll be over stuff like… I dunno, my knife collection? And my charcoal sketches maybe. But that’s UNLIKELY! DO NOT GET YOUR HOPES UP!
(OOC: HEY HI!!!! Corv here, a few rules about this blog: THESE OCS ARE TEENS! NO INNAPROPRIATE STUFF, PG13 AT BEST! This blog may contain posts about fictional medical malpractice/abuse, trauma, mild gore… if you can’t take that, it’s ok! We’ll be triggertagging the shit out of those posts, and you can always just not read this blog if that’s not your vibe!)
(if you want to send asks, please clarify which character/s they’re for! Askbox is in fact open!)
(blog theming info will be added here when we yknow. Get to it.)

Welcome to...
Tumblr media
I'm Evie (she/they) and I'm so glad you found your way here!
If you're looking for resources to help create your OC, whether they are for the live action or the anime/manga, you've come to the right place.
For those on mobile, here is your masterpost!
Since the release of the Netflix adaptation this summer, I've seen a lot of new people enter the fandom, and with them, a lot of new OCs. Since the live action only offers a pretty limited view on the world of One Piece with its 1000+ chapters and diving into the wiki also means diving into huge amounts of spoilers, I decided to create this blog. Here you can get all the info you might want or need, 100% spoiler-free! I'll make sure to give examples in every post I make, usually using live actions characters or my own OCs (Cora for the live action and Inari and Luna for the anime) only - that way everything stays spoiler-free.
So much for the live action people, but what about the manga/anime fans? Not everyone is caught up, so maybe the spoiler argument also applies to you. Or maybe you are caught up and you just want a second opinion on whether something could work the way you imagined or you're still confused about when and how water actually affects devil fruit users (it's complicated). I might also be missing one really important topic you think all newer fans should know. Either way, you've come to the right place.
This blog is gonna have posts about topics I came up with, but it's also gonna heavily rely on what questions you might have or what you think newer fans should know, if you're a manga fan. So, my askbox is always open. I also would really like to connect with people and talking to someone can be a great way to develop a character, so you can also always send a DM. In short: Send those messages!
Last but not least, a quick disclaimer. None of the tips I give you on here are truly mandatory. Within fandom spaces, it's Shroedinger's canon, especially with OCs. The posts on here are supposed to help you get an understanding of how the One Piece world works and how to make your character fit into it as if they were canon. How far you take that is completely up to you.
With that being said, hope you enjoy your stay and I'd love to talk to you!

hi! i’m will, and this is my sfw age regression caregiver blog! you can also call me mama or nopa here if you’d like :] i’m a flip (meaning i enjoy taking care of others but also regress too) and this blog is a spot for me to collect comforting posts, tips and advice, agere positivity, and fun activity ideas for regressors!
i love talking to people!! i always try to be as welcoming and friendly as possible, so please don’t be scared to send asks, reply, or tag me in posts, etc! :] i do have a few rules on this blog though, due to past experiences:
before you interact:
🌻 please don’t ask me to be your caregiver! i love babysitting friends sometimes but i don’t have the energy to be anyone’s full time cg.
🍓i don’t mind being sent mild vents or talking with people about sad or frustrating things, but please don’t send me anything graphic/sxual in nature, thank you!
🐝 i’m an adult! minors are welcome to follow and reblog/reply, but not to dm or ask me to babysit you :]
🍃 starting discourse or being rude, pushy, or mean to anyone (including me) will get you blocked quickly.
dni:
this blog is sfw only, so no explicit k!nk blogs, please. terfs and any other variety of bigots or exclusionists will be blocked immediately! and lastly all systems are welcome here, so if you’re anti-endogenic please do not follow me. thanks!
my other blogs and more info below the cut! :]
🌷 regression sideblog: @bumbling-kiddo
🐛 fandom agere sideblog: @azalea-bee
🪴 i love talking with people and i know it can get lonely sometimes for regressors, so you are always welcome to come say hi if you want some company!
if i don’t respond right away i promise it’s not personal, i’m disabled and also regress sometimes so i may be too small or too tired to talk for a bit. but i always enjoy making friends, so my askbox and replies are open! :D
🌻 on that same note, if you’d like to chat with me but don’t know what to say, you can send me a question from this ask game i made!

Dear Artists - Notes & Tips from a Would-Be Commissioner.
It feels like there has been a mini revival of Art Tumblr after Twitter burned itself down, which is amazing, but I've been skulking around looking for folks to commission lately, and I see some of the same gripes recurring a lot. I've posted this before as a reply to something before, but I think it might be worth its own post.
Here are some tips to help you as an artist help your clients to meet you half way!

So you want to take Commissions on Tumblr!
- Awesome! ... does your profile actually indicate that though? Does it clearly tell me at first glance that a) you're an artist and b) you're open to commissions right now? That might seem like a goofy question, but you would be absolutely amazed how many artists on here do not have any trace of that. (Several artists I've seen just today don't!)
- Is your askbox open for quick "Would you do..." enquiries? Have you checked it lately? Is there some way I can make a quick enquiry with you - and this is important- without leaving Tumblr? That extra layer of clicks makes a big difference.
- If your slate's full for now, do you have a wait list? Can I tell? How does somebody get on it? Can I find that info easily?
- Is there a standard package of info requirements and material you want from a client to consider/work with them? Even a template? Your client may be in a different timezone or work schedule to you, so teasing this stuff out one message at a time can take foreeevvverr - try to make it clear in advance what you need to know so everything is said/asked in as few chess moves as possible.
- This will be a theme.
- Please, please don't take it for granted that people will just 💫DM you for info💫 about anything you already know they'll have to ask - that info should be just about impossible for them to miss. By the time they're DM'ing you, they should pretty much just be clarifying something they've read or pitching the particulars of this specific transaction. Everything they have to ask is one more little obstacle to contacting you at all.
- Do you have lots of diverse and easily found examples of your work? Have you tagged your work consistently and properly? Have you told me what what that tag is? Have you distinguished between Commissions and Personal/commercial stuff? Your style is probably great, but I need to know if it's my vibe! Again, several artists I've seen today have not done this. I have no idea what kind of work you've done, and I can't find it even if I look!
- Have you made it clear what you're capable or interested in working in, subject wise? For example, I tend to look for artists I know can pull off f/f tv/movie fandom ship stuff, and female bodies and musculature, in relatively realistic proportions. Maybe you can do that! But if I can't see any indications of it, and all the stuff I find is m/m or OCs or D&D, I won't assume it, and I probably won't cold call to find out.
- If you do LGBTQ+, furry, fetish, mecha etc art - anything at all that anyone else might not do, for any reason - make sure to say so. Again, folks won't take it for granted, so try not to make it so they have to ask. Mostly, they won't.
- Also, make it clear if you work in zestier flavors or not, and indeed what specific kinds of zesty you will and won't do. (And on a personal level, if you do, try not to draw those boobs so high, Tumblr)
- Speaking of, if somebody approaches you with stuff you can't or won't do just out of preference, is there someone else you can steer them to? The favor might just come right back around.
- Let's talk money, baby. Where can I find your ballpark prices? Is it obvious? I don't need to know to the penny, but I do need to know if my budget and your pricing are at least in the same orbit. At least tell me how many digits to expect. Just saying "It depends!" is a psychological brick wall for a would-be client; I promise you that "contact me to discuss pricing" without any indications of floor or ceiling will cost you work.
- Also I strongly suggest a two-chunk payment structure, with some upfront and some on completion. I personally prefer to pay the whole lot upfront where possible, but at least for your first commission with someone, getting part upfront is safest for you, and "the rest on completion" is reassuring for them.
- Consider different tiers if you haven't already. A 60 buck quickie sketch is 60 bucks you didn't have yesterday, and they're not a huge commitment. You can potentially do a bunch of them in the time you're waiting for The Big One to come along, and if you agree to post it publicly, it's essentially an ad for you. And maybe I'll like it so much I'll ask you to go further with it, and stump up for a more developed version? (Though if that's an option, it should be clear to me too.)
- I strongly recommend having a look around at the all-in-one commission info sheets some folks put together, with pricing, payment, wills and won'ts, and FAQs and making one of your own, and then - and this is important - pinning it, or linking to it in your profile. It should smack folks in the face, they won't seek it out, and it should be like a used car ad - every fact or figure you can anticipate them wanting to know should be plain to see.
- And keep it, and your Tumblr, active and up to date. If your commission info sheet and your Tumblr hasn't been touched since 2012, I'll assume you're in space or dead. I will not check your Twitter or Patreon for signs of life.
- Reblog other artists, and actively engage and tag in fandoms/tags you have worked in and want to work in. Branch out into new subjects/fandoms/tags now and then just to experiment and broaden your footprint. Tumblr is a bunch of circles glued together, that's how you get out there. (Speaking for myself, I tend to find new artists through previous artists more often than via tags or Recommended feeds.)
- There is absolutely nothing wrong with reaching out to a high profile blog in a given fandom or genre sphere and asking for a shout out. They'll likely be more than happy to do it.
- Reblog yourself plenty, for the day and night crowd, weekends and weekdays etc. Gas yourself up a little, nobody minds. Add a few new comments about your process or something now and then, it's interesting. Try not to talk shit about your art, even just in jest - it's not good for you, and it's kind of a bummer to onlookers. If something wasn't perfect, think and talk about what you learned from it.
- And don't go doxxing yourself or anything, but maybe give some idea of when and how you work on your art - it's probably not a great idea to commit to an ironclad timescale, but if your posts give a sense of how and when you fit the work into your life, people can have some sense of what to expect and be a little more understanding than they might be otherwise.
- Blaze it. If you're sure you can tune out the whiney clowns, Blaze it. Yes, you'll absolutely get whinging edgelord nitwits in the comments, but you will also get seen by potentially interested folks who would never have stumbled over you otherwise, and they'll stick around when the other dummies are gone.

So you've been Commissioned!
- Keep in touch! Generally speaking, just staying in touch to say "Hey, this is still in the pipeline" now and then is plenty. Don't weird yourself out about it, don't psyche yourself out of getting in contact if it's been a while. Just message. It's cool! I don't mind waiting for the art itself, at all, but long periods of ghostly radio silence are disheartening. If you're art-blocked up the wazoo, it's nbd to say so. If you're taking a break to work on some personal stuff or casual no-pressure sketches, say so! Literally any contact at all is better than no contact. If nothing else, all you have to say is "Hey, just checking in. I have been making progress on your piece/I plan to get some work done on your piece today/this week/this month. Hope all is well!". Bam, done.
- Some would-be commissioner types like to have their shiny completed art piece revealed all in one go and kept all to themselves. Some (me) love to see WIP updates that they can reblog from you, so they have an extra chance to roll around in their fandoms and tags a little. On the other hand, some artists don't like showing their WIP stuff publically though. All of that's fine - but regardless, make sure you're both on the same page about it, and what format and what channel they'll get their piece in, from Day 1.
- Let the client know if you'd be up for working with them again afterwards, or if you'd like x and y conditions if they want to work with you again, or if you're all done and you never want to see these damn characters or this bloody setting again. As a client, you can feel a bit weird about hitting the same talented creative up five times in a row for the same two blorbos in a situation, so it's a good idea to intercept that if it's not an issue for you.

Remember - commissioning something has the potential to feel a little like a weird awkward Tinder convo for money. As an artist... well, you're already an artist, but it’s in your interest as somebody who eats and uses electricity to make it obvious that working with you will be easy and hassle free for all involved. What can you do to ensure that, and signal it? Make yourself approachable and easy to deal with, and do yourself justice.
All the love to Art Tumblr. I'll come knocking on some of your doors again next time I have spare cash and a hankering for some more angsty Dani and Grace McTerminatorDarkFate stuff.

Artists, I'm totally down with all of this, but speaking as somebody who actively seeks out people to commission semi regularly, help us out to meet you half way!
Notes and Tips from a Client.
- Does your profile actually indicate you're an artist and that you're open to commissions? That might seem like a goofy question, but you would be absolutely amazed how many artists on here do not have any trace of that. (Several artists in these very notes don't!)
- If your slate's full rn, do you have a wait list? Can I tell? How does somebody get on it?
- Is your askbox open for enquiries? Have you checked it lately? Is there some way I can make a quick enquiry with you - and this is important- *without leaving Tumblr*? That extra layer of clicks makes a big difference.
- Please, please don't expect people to just 💫DM you for info💫 about anything you already know they'll have to ask - that info should be just about impossible for them to miss.
Again, several artists in these tags have not done this. I have no idea what kind of work you've done!
- Have you made it clear what you're capable or interested in working in, subject wise? For example, I look for artists I know can pull off f/f tv/movie fandom ship stuff, and female bodies and musculature, in relatively realistic proportions. Maybe you can do that! But if I can't see any indications of it, and all the stuff I find is m/m or OCs or D&D, I won't assume it and I probably won't cold call to find out.
- If you do LGBTQ+, furry, fetish, mecha etc - anything anyone else might not do, for any reason - make sure to say so. Again, try not to make people have to ask.
- Also, make it clear if you work in Spicy flavor or not, or what kinds of Spicy you will and won't. (And on a personal level, if you do, try not to draw those boobs so high, Tumblr)
- If somebody approaches you with stuff you can't or won't do just out of preference, is there someone else you can steer them to? The favor might just come right back around.
- Is there somewhere I can find your ballpark prices?
A 60 buck quickie sketch is 60 bucks you didn't have yesterday, and if you agree to post it, it's essentially an ad for you. - I strongly recommend having a look around at the all-in-one commission info sheets some folks put together, with pricing, payment, wills and won'ts, and FAQs and making one of your own, and then - and this is important - *pinning* it, or linking to it in your profile. It should smack folks in the face, they won't seek it out, and it should be like a used car ad, every fact or figure you can anticipate them wanting to know should be plain to see.

The only thing I need tumblr to do is to get like... cool with the idea you can hire people here to do commissions for you and to like.. consider monetary support for artists cuz one of the reasons and the biggest reason I moved to twitter in the first place is because people there buy my art. I make a living there doing art. And the vibe here is **we don't do that here** If you want artists to be here and do art you gotta be okay with the concept of artists trying to make money. I hate capitalism as much as the next person but I'm also 30 years old living with my fucking parents because I can't pay for a 1 bedroom apartment. Artists are not 'big business'. We're not Disney. We're just people trying to make a living or some money for groceries and shit.

What would you say is the best way to promote or introduce fandomless oc blogs?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now that one has many answers-- so here are some general tips for building a roleplay blog [that should help]!
Tumblr media
NUMBER ONE: Set up a Pinned Post!
You'll want to either make your own graphics, commission someone, or try your hand at a minimalist look to make your Pinned Post. This is a gathering of all relevant information on your blog. From your RULES to your CHARACTER INFO-- you can even link a HEADCANON tag too! This makes it easier for folks to find and access information on your muse, instead of having to hunt through a blog. Until you write down and share that information, it is inaccessible to your partners, who are not mind readers.
Tumblr media
NUMBER TWO: Create your Promo Post!
You'll want something that captures the essence of your blog or character. Have your graphics match-- or don't! There's really no rules here on what aesthetic is superior to another. But ideally your post should have accessible information, a link to your pinned post, and appropriate credit for whatever template you used [if applicable]. There are roleplay promo templates out there if you just search the tags-- some are paid and others are free. But a good graphic can be extremely eye catching and draws more folks to look at your blog.
Tumblr media
NUMBER THREE: Write, write, write!
Metas, headcanons, drabbles-- fill your blog with more than just reblogged aesthetics and images. Actually put your writing on there. Roleplay with yourself, if need be. There's no real rules-- but having something substantial for a potential partner to peruse will help more than hinder.
Tumblr media
And some RANDOM TIPS:
Understand you may have to try harder for OCs-- especially those who aren't just, masculine dudes. Interactions can be difficult to obtain, but if you show the initiative, you'll eventually find folks that like your vibe. Be respectful to others-- and read the rules of each blog you interact with. Never act under the assumption everyone's rules are the same-- they're not! You can always refresh yourself if you need to, that's why having a rules post linked in your pinned is so helpful! How you put yourself out there is up to you. But taking the initiative helps. Just be sure you're not disrespecting the boundaries of your fellow roleplayers. Follow blogs you wanna write with, and if they follow back-- open up a dialogue via the IM system [or askbox if you prefer]. Meet folks in the middle-- roleplay is collaborative storytelling. If everyone's not having fun, what's the point? Remember to communicate with writing partners and give them time for replies-- not everyone's activity level is the same.
Tumblr media
Less a code-- more like, guidelines. Your experience doesn't have to be one for one to this-- but hopefully these tips help inspire!
As always, the askbox is open! For clarification on answered queries, or for further questions on RP meta and whatnot.
