The etymology of the term is a reference to how a lack of conformity to beauty standards is deeply punished, portrayed as evil, frightening and inhuman. It seeks to reclaim the idea that the subversion of beauty as "monstrous".

Teratid is a noun (Ex: "I am a Teratid"). The adjective form of is "teratine" (Ex: "My gender is teratine").

Teratid is an atrinary, outherine gender identity. Additionally, it is a ringender, genoingender, ketuine and a type of genderfuckery (subversive in nature). Some may also experience it as an autonomous gender, reclingender and/or quingender. Teratid can also be a diastine gender identity.

Teratid is a broad label that encompasses the infinitely vast expressions that undermine societal beauty standards. Though Teratid experience is varied, all are unified by a rejection of common notions of beauty, a lack of conformance to the prescriptions of societal beauty standards and an active spirit of "fuckery" involved in the disruption and undermining of the oppressive standards contained within "beauty" as it is commonly known. Pride Flag

The pride flag was colored-picked from a picture of a common dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) [PT: (Taraxacum officinale) ./. End PT], all from different portions of the plant. The olive green stripe was taken from it's foliage, the yellow stripe taken from the flower petals, the white stripe from the seed's pappus, the peach stripe from the stem and the brown stripe from the exterior of it's seeds.

A dandelion was chosen to represent this identity due to how dandelion is considered a "weed", even though it is a useful and charming flower. To a lawn keeper or florist, a weed is unwanted, unsightly and "bad". It does not conform to the standards of a "beautiful" flower.

In this case, the humble dandelion is considered undesirable due to the concept of a pristine, short grass lawn and the concept of floral design, despite it's various culinary uses, use in herbal remedies, role in pollination and their quaint appeal. Even though it not being a flower that is considered "beautiful" and instead, a "weed", the dandelion is inherently valuable not just in it's utility, but it's mere existence, much like an individual who does not conform to prevailing standards of beauty has inherent value by simply existing.

So they all follow the above gender-quality presenting flag format (3 stripes, with the outer 2 stripes being for the gender-quality in question).

I just took the colours of the above gender quality flags, simplified them to 2 colours, and used them on the edges. Pretty straightforward. The only slight exception is atrine presenting, which has a lightly yellower center grey stripe. This is to help a bit with contrast, and match the general aesthetic I do with atrinary flags (where atrinary yellowish white is used instead of plain white, or whatever the default light center colour of the flag format is).

Atzema'it (עצמאית): a Jewish-exclusive gender term for genders that are not part of any other gender within Jewish culture in any form. The gender may not even be referred to as not being part of it. It is its own definition and collection by itself, independent of any proximity to other genders or their opposite.

This gender doesn't have to be outherine. It can be any alignment. It can have any presentation and any quality. The only thing needed is that it's independent, a catch-all of sorts for any gender experience that is separate from any other gender in Jewish culture, in whatever way that experience may be.

It is important to understand that the Jewish gender categories are not a binary or surrounding a binary. The idea of "non-binary" is completely inapplicable, not just because the term is exclusive to cultures with a binary, but because the idea of being 'neither' or 'not' anything doesn't accurately describe what a maverique gender would be. The point of a maverique gender in Jewish culture would be that it not only doesn't fit any other definition, but also exists in spite of not fitting any other definition. All Jewish genders are defined by what they are, not what they aren't. This is why saying "Atzema'it is not being any other Jewish gender" would be inaccurate.

For a Revela individual, self-exploration is an essential experience, highly central to one's identity, heavily involved in one's concept of their gender and often a perpetual pursuit. Revela can be used to describe anyone who considers self-exploration to be a gendered experience.

Simply, Revela is a gender about getting to know oneself and all that it entails. Revela is similar to Alithix and Rahugender, but with some differences:

My understanding of t- terms is that they are both a shortening/alt to trans terms, can represent other terms starting with t (ask here), as well as be their own standalone terms (which makes sense, sometimes people feel described by one term, but not another, even if they are for the same definition).

Just wanted to state my ideas behind these terms. I mean for these flags to be inclusive, so if anyone connects to this in a way not really included by the definitions I listed, I think you can still use them.

Also, I wrote all the names with a dash, but they can be used without the dash, or different capitalisations too.

The flag formats are based off of @revenant-coining's tfem & tmasc flags. Which I assume are based off these trans flags, going by the colours. So I took various trans-gender-quality flags, without the white stripe, and mirrored them across the middle. (The removal of the white stripe is just for aesthetic/formatting purposes, not to take away from any meaning.)

I’ll never get over how funny it is that the reason Teraeth reincarnated as one of the hellwarriors was because Atrin saw the man he was in love with (has literally never spoken to him ever in 500 years) and the woman he was in love with (he’s convinced she hates his guts) (knows they have some kind of affection for each other but is unclear on the details) volunteer one after the other and went ‘oh I cannot let them reincarnate together without me’ like yes he was emperor for five hundred years and undeniably changed the world yes he was an incredible warrior and strategist in his own right. Yes he volunteered to save the world because his crushes did it first and he didn’t want to be left out. Funniest guy ever.
