I want to be honest: I do not make mods for "the community."

Overall, I do not care about the community, just the small niche of you folks here (and the actually cool people on the nexus.) But still: I am the audience I make my own mods for.

Sorry if you feel like me removing my mods from the nexus hurts the wider modding community, but gods I'm tired.

Do you have any idea what it's like to make something to have it picked apart and have all it's flaws (real or perceived) detailed out in a comment?

To receive constant unsolicited advice (never helpful, always based on the commenter's opinion)?

To have the same questions asked over and over and over, despite it being answered in the description? Or get complaints daily? To be blamed for stuff that your mod doesn't even touch? To have everything nitpicked, including just using the word 'diversity?'

It never stops. And like, yeah, I will probably just turn off the comments because the whiniest people tend to be lazy and won't check the forum/bug reports tabs. But like... I don't think it's fair to blame me for wanting to find a smaller, niche site where people actually have to want my mods to find them. A place where I can leave the comments on and actually feel okay interacting with the community.

As an aromantic who’s also alterous it’s really interesting because I can feel this very heavy mourning in the fact i can’t reciprocate romantic attraction or make people want or value my alterous attraction towards them. while at the same time there are occasions when allos or people who experience romantic attraction towards me will have a Crush on me and it will make me soooo icked out or bother me in such a Specific way. It’s not inherently a big deal but stuff like age or maturity have definitely impacted how i felt in that way. It’s such a strong dichotomy in certain ways, I know what it’s like to be on the other side yet we end up in both roles anyways.

Hi again, is there a term for being partially reciprosexual? Cause for me I generally won't develope rom/sexual feelings for someone unless ik they could possibly have them for me, but I also don't end up in love with everyone who shows attraction towards me? I might be misunderstanding reciprosexual tbh. I also don't tend to fall in love with friends once I'm close to someone platonically? Idk if that's a thing. so i think that the experience you're describing is, in fact, reciprosexual! unfortunately, i don't know a more specific label for this particular experience, but yes, i do believe that reciprosexual is among the appropriate ones you can use!

as for not tending to fall for people you're close to platonically, i believe that you may want to look in fraysexual and/or frayromantic as a starting point! fraysexual is when you only feel sexual attraction to people you aren't close with, but generally also lose that attraction as you get to know them (frayromantic is its romantic counterpart). it may not entirely encompass your experience, but it seems like a good starting point for further research :))
