I have this theory that loki knew about Mobius' pie obsession. I hc Mobius as autistic, and hc that his special interest is jet skis and he is obsessed with pie, key lime pie being his comfort food. (I often get really obsessed with foods and they become things that make me really happy, so this isn't unheard of for autistic people.)

Anyway. When they walk into the automat pie place Mobius looks so lost, so upset, and Loki knows he loves pie. I reckon Mobius subconsciously went to that place because it is full of pie and then Loki asked if he wanted pie because he knew it would help him.
