No thoughts, just Quaritch fathering spider HC's.
Instinctually putting a hand on his shoulder or keeping him pressed against him in any potentially dangerous situation. Spider used to protest it, claiming he was fine, but in time he grew used to it, liked it, liked being protected as if he was something to be cared for; but before that, he would throw Quaritch's touch off like it burned and he would flee from his presence if he tried to guard him and Quaritch would just try harder, he had to, he couldn't not protect him.
working more and more Na'vi into their conversation, mostly terms of endearment, and familial possession (my son, my spider, my idiot). they have fluent conversations and use it to shit talk the RDA staff cause they're the only ones fluent/close to fluent. (spider is so proud, and Quaritch loves to see how happy it makes the boy to use his true native tongue)
anxious dad hovering, all the time, it never stops. Spiders climbing up on something, Quaritch is most likely off to the side, sweating bullets. Spiders squaring up to an avatar or to one of Pandora's many creatures, Quaritch is 3 steps behind him, ready to scoop him up. in the meeting room he keeps close to spider, making sure no one says anything to him, messes with him, makes sure he doesn't break anything or cause trouble. at first spider thinks its annoying, then really entertaining.
after a singular rough ride on an ikran, Quaritch insists on holding onto spider at all times, especially while in the air. spider uses it as a time to sunbathe (much like a cat in their grumpy owners arms) and take a little nap (he feels safe and content)
as they get more comfortable with each other, spider claims to be 'tired' during more boring parts of a walk or hike so that way Quaritch will carry him. he likes to be up on his shoulders, likes to see the world as the na'vi do. He normally ends up sleeping (kid can drop into a nap in like 5 seconds and wake back up in half that. he has very feline habits) or nearly break his dads neck with how fucking wild he gets. (Quaritch will never admit it, but holding spider makes him feel whole in a way that nothing else will ever manage to do)
Quaritch kinda just formed a habit of carrying Spider like a toddler or sack of potatoes, especially when they had to basically drug him to keep him from ripping himself, the lab, and everyone in it to shreds. that habit never died, sometimes he just carries him around (when he's throwing a teenage temper tantrum) and no one dares to say a thing; they see them in the halls, sitting together in the rec room or at meetings, out on the land, it just become a part of everyday life. (spider will totally do that thing where he just drops all muscle tone in his upper body and just flops back, much to Quaritch's horror every. damn. time)
He likes when Quaritch (who's always saying its a rats nest, cause it, in fact, is since the kid barely showers and never really does anything with it) does his hair.
if Spider's doing something he shouldn't, he'll just pick the kid up by the armpits and walk away with his arms fully extended, dangling Spider like 4 feet off the ground (he has a scrunch instinct, he curls his legs up like the feral little bastard he is, so in all likely hood its more like 2 or 3)
Quaritch, whose only really used to his na'vi body, is convinced that spider is fragile, like a paper cut will kill him since he's "just a little human", so any injury gets spider fawned after.
Quaritch is the only one allowed to question spider, especially out in the field. He doesn't let his men say a thing to the boy.
Mother hen to the max, have I made that clear enough
if and when the Sully's and Quaritch make-up, the custody battle is fucking gnarly. quaritch is possessive of his kid, especially when he learns how he was treated before.
he loves his kid so fucking much

Custody Battle
Funny things that anyone who has seen Avatar The Way of the Water has noticed or likes to believe.
Quaritch and Jake having a custody battle over Spider.
I'm just saying, they both have their motives, but, let's make it pure comedy (I need comedy in life).
The whole RDA VS Pandora war is put on pause because Spider wants to spend that month's weekend with Quaritch and watch human cartoons at the military base with his Uncle Lyle. You know, something casual that allows Spider to connect with his human side.
But! Jake is totally offended as he had booked that date so Spider could travel with Jake and play Toruk Makto. And he tells him he can't go and all that. Plus the tablets make him hyper and won't let him sleep.
Well, what happens?
Something very simple.
Quaritch takes Jake to court over Spider's custody.
Jake then claims he wants Spider's alimony, and now that Quaritch is alive he can pay him child support.
Quaritch refuses and asks for more time and so on until no one knows how 35 international and interplanetary laws are being reformed just because Jake didn't want Spider to become enthralled with a digital screen and because Quaritch wanted him and Lyle to watch Bluey with Spider.
Spider doesn't know what the heck is going on, Lyle discovers his second bite at the legal chops as Quaritch's advocate, and Tonowari has discovered that he likes playing lawyer to Jake.
If you've got any women who can play judge, it'd be great to see their proposals.

Zukka fic list part 2
On ice we fall (in love)
Zuko and Sokka rivals to friends to lovers slowburn competitive figure skating AU.
Foolsong
Zuko is an idiot trying to get over a breakup, Sokka is a hockey boy, and online dating isn't really that awful.
Blue
Iroh insists they create a new life and identity in Ba Sing Se. Zuko wants nothing more than to bide his time until his next opportunity to return home, until he realizes ‘Lee’ can get away with things Zuko never could.
Zuko dons the mantle of the Blue Spirit again only to los e his focus when the Avatar comes to the city. This time, however, his attention is drawn to the annoying Southern Tribe warrior.
winter solstice: an addendum
Zuko gets imprisoned with Sokka and Katara during the winter solstice, and some very unfortunate things come to light. Alternatively: the gaang kidnaps adopts Zuko in book one after discovering just how awful his father is.
I'll Come Back Someday (For You)
“We’ll be together someday. I won’t stop looking until I find you again.”
Those words, Sokka thought, were a blessing.
After living through several lives without Zuko, they now feel like a curse.
They were the last words Sokka muttered to the Fire Lord on his death bed after saving Avatar Korra from an attempted kidnapping, and while he meant them, he didn't know that they would come true.
Yet, he tried, tried, tried again, and after cycling into his fourth life, he's starting to give up hope.
All until he walks into the Jasmine Dragon right next to Republic City University's campus.
(i'm sorry but) i'm just thinking of the right words to say
Zuko is the last person Sokka expects to end up as his roommate when he starts college. Sokka is the last person Zuko expects to befriend when he starts his whole life over. And no one who knows a thing about their shared past expects them to end up together. Except, maybe, Toph.
There's Bound To Be A Ghost At The Back Of Your Closet
Zuko needs a new dad, and Hakoda volunteers. A story spanning Zuko's old life, new life, and beyond
running right back to you
the air conditioning stops working at the Jasmine Dragon, and it's miserable until a cute stranger makes it a bit more bearable
Sorry, I Have to Move to Alaska!
Following a lengthy legal battle with Ozai, Iroh has full custody of his niece and nephew. Desperate to get Zuko and Azula away from Ozai (just in case) Iroh buys a tea shop in Anchorage, Alaska.
Sokka has been living in Anchorage since birth and nothing interesting ever happens in this city. Except less than a month into this school year, the mysterious new kid with a facial scar beats up a well-known student in first period.
purrfect for each other
because sometimes, it takes going to a cat café four times to realize you're in love with your best friend
The World We Dream About
A HS Theatre Kid AU where the gaang is in Hadestown, featuring all our favorite high school nostalgia moments and way too many tropes
when i'm set alight
“I’m going to go practice some firebending forms,” Zuko says stiffly, running a hand through the tangles in his hair. “Tell Aang to join me if he wants to once he wakes up.” Gold eyes dart up to where Aang had strung up a makeshift hammock and was still sleeping soundly, snoring like a buffalo yak.
“Alright,” Sokka says, watching as he walks out without another word, evidently having reverted back into his usual brooding self. “Have fun!” He calls after Zuko loudly, which he means to be sarcastic, but comes out painfully, embarrassingly sincere. His face burns, and as soon as Zuko passes out of sight into the the temple, Katara turns to him, leveling him with a Look.
“You like him.” She says, and it’s not a question.
Born Lucky
Zuko knew this would happen one day.
He really should've prepared better.
Of course, he'd imagined something like this many times. He'd see him-- or anyone from high school, really-- and he wouldn't even be recognized. They'd be immediately enamored with him and wouldn't even pause to think he looked like that one girl from high school.
Instead, he has a 24-year-old Sokka cradling a swollen wrist and smiling awkwardly up at Zuko.
like we're made of starlight
When former High Imperial Prince and Sith Acolyte Zuko defects to the rebellion Commander Sokka is tasked to keep an eye on him and bring him into the fold.

I thought up random stuff for Beyblade... again
Bladers call their beys by nicknames or shortened names instead of their actually names outside of battles (like Storm Aquario might be called Storm or Hades Kerbecs might be called Kerbie).
Bladers who travel on their own a lot often train their beys so that the avatar can accompany them. This technique is also more common in performer spheres as it does drain energy and wouldn’t be smart for a battle blader to constantly be doing.
Beys tend to listen to people who are close with their blader as well (for example Toby and Zeo can command each others beys if they want) and generally all beys being willing to listen to a mechanic if they’ve been to them numerous times before and trust them.
Some beys can alter their avatar if what they are based on has multiple forms (like Horuseus can be a falcon as well, or Aquario can take on the form of a wave and a water spirit).
When bladers get to a really high level of strength and control, they can temporarily embody the power of their bey (as seen by Pluto at the battle of Nemesis and Ryuga’s teleportation). This power varies in form from bey to bey and can be built up over time (Kenta with teleportation and a bow, Gingka with wings, Kyoya with creating wind currents, nile with shields etc).
Even if they stop battling later in life, former bladers often still carry their beys with them, often hiding bey boxes in professional settings in increasingly creative ways.
Tag team partners who battle together a lot typically end up mimicking each other subconsciously and usually have some form of matching item in their appearances (tattoo, jewelry, etc).
DJs often got into fights about "blader custody" during the world championships, aka who got announce for them since they were DJing for them the longest. And it wasn't just National DJs with each other, regional ones jumped in too. It was chaos.
Different types of bladers value and aim for different things in their beys, so comparisons between different groups by each other tend to fall short as they hold them to their standards. Because of this, there are sheets on the WBBA websites of what is common goals of each groups for reporters who might not be fluent in these.

Some Willow headcanons:
Madmartigan was banished from Galladoorn.Nobody knows why because he tells a completely different story whenever he's asked about it, ranging from relatively plausible to utterly bizarre.
Sorsha never quite got herself to trust Fin Raziel; a part of her was always waiting for signs she's just another version of Bavmorda.
Graydon spent years studying what has happened to him, trying to find a way to defend himself in the future.(And this is how he accidentally became the fellowship's resident wards- and exorcisms expert).
He also tried to find the person who performed the ritual on him when he was a child, but apparently they *disappeared* soon after.King Hastur may or may not have had anything to do with it.
That being said, Zivian Hastur didn't know about his son studying magic, mostly because he didn't consider him a threat and so never bothered to take an interest in what exactly Graydon did in his spare time.
High Aldwins *cheating* a bit when necessary is a time honoured tradition, and at least half the Nelwyn village is perfectly aware that they do. Part of an apprentice High Aldwin's education is learning all the traditional ways to cheat, just to keep things consistent.
The two woodcutters Elora met are Fair Folk. They really didn't expect their day to go this way, but will recover eventually. This is Their part of the forest, after all.
Airk is actually a good swordsman and can keep up with Kit just fine. He isn't as passionate about it as she is however and often *loses* their sparring matches because he gets bored.
Madmartigan actually likes music and poetry. He also really, Really hated Allagash's songs. And yes, in hindsight, maybe he shouldn't have told him that on when they were on their way to Wiggleheim's tomb in Skellin....
In his defense Allagash had been singing his latest "hit", Secret Tunnel, for over an hour*
Kit and Airk sometimes pretended to be each other for fun during formal events when they were kids. Worked quite well until Airk had the audacity to get taller than her (Kit is still kind of mad about that).
Sorsha did intentionally push Kit and Jade together, but not for the reasons Kit thought: She wanted to keep a closer eye on Jade and also give Jade someone from her family to be loyal to in case she found about her heritage. She did, however, grow very fond of Jade over the years.
She also tries to adopt Graydon, resulting in a brief but intense custody battle with Willow.
There's a rumour going around in Tir Asleen that Jade is Sorsha's daughter and/or Elora Danan.
Airk Thaughbaer (the Galladoornish guy from the movie prince Airk was named after) and Madmartigan were exes.
(* yes that's an Avatar: Last Airbender reference.Couldn't resist.)

Hello! How are you?
I’m sorry if I’m disturbing you right now, you don’t need to answer this right away, I can wait.
But I have to ask:
If you’re gonna continue this Au, what are you gonna call it? “Sparkling of Unicron” “The Origins Of The 13th Prime Au” “The Spark of Unicron” “The Custody Battle of Optimus Prime”?
How would Team Prime (Both Bots and the Humans [Jack, his Mom, Miko, Raf and Agent Fowler]) react to Optimus’s true origins .
How would the Decepticons react to it?
Did the other 12 Primes know that the 13th was adopted or who their real Creator is? If they didn’t already knew, how would they react if they did?
How would things play out after the battle with Unicron? Was there tension with the team with the reveal of who Optimus really was?
How do you feel about the theory of Optimus Prime/Orion Pax being the reincarnation of The 13th Prime?
Can you please make some quotes of how interactions between Team Prime, The Decepticons, The 13 Primes, Primus and Unicron would be like? Like what you did with Optimus and Unicron screaming at each other? An example be like: Optimus: Bumblebee meet you Grandfather. *Points at Unicron*. Bumblebee: *Screams*. Optimus: And those are your Uncles and Aunts. *Point to the human team*. Bumblebee:*Confused happy nosies*. Miko: I always wanted to be an aunt-.
You don’t have to answer all of them, I’m just happy that my first every request was answered by you. Your “Optimus and Bumblebee Headcanons” were the first ever work I’ve read from you and the reason how I was introduced into the Transformers Fandom.
Thank you and your work for bringing me here. I hope you have a wonderful day!
I am so glad you liked my old writing enough to get into Transformers! (I personally don't like looking back on those dark days, my writing was awful).
Oh boy lots of questions here. Uh, first off I might as well say I live and breathe the headcanon that Optimus is the reincarnation of the Thirteenth. Honestly I am surprised so few people seem to be in on it since it might as well be fact considering how many hints are thrown at us in the show and the covenant of Primus. Anyway, with that said here is my attempt to answer all your questions!
The Sparkling of Unicron
Optimus felt his maker begin to wake long before anyone else, even Megatron. He could tell it was coming, but he was unable to do just about anything as he struggled with his nature. Even as he tried to plan and fight against Megatron, his spark cried out in agony as it was drawn toward both violence and peace. He tried. He put all of his spark, mind, and body into trying to keep himself controlled. But when Unicron's avatars woke, he could no longer maintain his carefully crafted persona. He fell to his knees in the middle of the base as the avatars woke and screamed as his spark shredded and remade his frame in response to the surge of power that came from Unicron coming back online.
Before anyone could react, Optimus returned to his base form, standing far taller than before with his spark exposed as it flared with sickening yet reassuring power. His face and a good portion of his chassis were all but gone, instead replaced by a swirling nebula of mixed blue and purple energy where the Matrix still flared within. All that remained where his face normally would have been were two blazing optic shaped motes of light which seemed to squint as Optimus pulled himself to his pedes. The team shook in fear instinctively and stood in front of the children, terrified of whatever it was that their Prime had become. However Optimus paid this little mind and looked them over critically before turning to look at the live footage of his creator's avatars. Despite having no visible mouth, he growled at the sight of his father's avatar and turned to his team yet again.
Optimus: Open the groundbridge, I must stop father before he can wake fully.
Ratchet: O-Optimus, what happened to you!?
Optimus: That is irrelevant at the moment pet. Open the groundbridge. I will not ask you again.
The team complied with his demands and watched in horror as Optimus marched through, having to duck just to fit in the groundbridge. They opted to think on his transformation and words later and followed him while keeping a solid fifty feet away as he started screaming at Unicron's avatar in some broken form of Cybertronian. If that wasn't bad enough, they very nearly began having breakdowns as they watched the avatar begin yelling back at Optimus in the same tongue. Neither were fighting, but the waves of anger and off-putting energy that came of them was enough for poor Bulkhead to purge due to the sense of impending doom that came with it.
At one point Optimus gestured to the team, briefly having them fearing for their lives before he raised his fists looking about ready to fight. The avatar also reared back in anger, causing Optimus to look almost comically small despite his jump in height. However before either could begin fighting, Megatron leapt from out of nowhere and ended the Avatar himself. The team scurried forward as Megatron looked up at Optimus suddenly not all that sure of himself as the Prime fumed. Time seemed to stand still as Megatron offered a temporary truce with a path to Unicron's spark as his contribution.
Megatron: I am connected to Unicron, his blood flows through me! I can lead you to him!
Optimus: You are but a herald, a toy that father is saving for later. I have no need of your aid, not when I can find my way to his spark myself.
Megatron: *sweating bullets* Can you guarantee you will remain uninfluenced? Do you not need an extra blade on your side?
Optimus: ... Father's will is strong. Perhaps you will have use little herald.
After the most tense ten minutes of everyone's lives, the tentative truce was made. Megatron was brought back to base in order to plan, but by Primus, every bot in the base was far more intimidated by Optimus's towering unnatural frame and behavior. Throughout the entire planning session, Optimus's actions were frightening. He constantly referred to his team by three main terms, with Arcee, Bulkhead, and Ratchet falling under the category of "pet". Bumblebee was called "heir" or "little spark" and the team as a whole being referred to as Optimus's "possessions". Not a spark dared to correct him as he placed a servo on the helms of different teammates as he spoke, gently running his huge sharpened digits along their kibble and making them fear for their lives. The once soothing action was terrifying, making every bot he touched feel impossibly trapped with no escape as Optimus's spark sent out waves of energy that both invigorated and sickened those around him.
Jack very nearly fainted when Optimus turned his attention to him right before he set off. He shook in terror as the towering Prime hovered over him, seemingly gazing into his soul before handing him a strange relic which transformed to fit into his hand comfortably. Once the relic was safely within his hands, Optimus nodded once, not saying anything beyond "Take care of this for me pet" before wandering off toward the groundbridge. Miko and Rafael did not fare much better and were both stuck in different states of shock until Optimus left. Even then it took them a few minutes to work up the mental power to get a good look at what Optimus had given Jack.
Megatron didn't even try to come up with a plan to backstab Optimus as Ratchet got them groundbridged as close to Unicron's spark as possible. All he could bring himself to do was fight the antibodies that Unicron sent their way as they travelled and watch Optimus in horror as he shredded the enemies they faced. Optimus was ruthless, not caring for any sort of danger to himself due to his complete and total confidence in his immortality. He cut down every foe without hesitation, even laughing in boisterous joy as he did so, his bloodlust finally having a chance to be sated. The team did their best not to look at Optimus as he lost himself in the battle, his blazing optics glowing with what could have been insanity.
When they finally reached Unicron's spark, both Optimus and Megatron were heavily effected. Unicron attempted to take control of Megatron, trying to get the warlord to stop his sparkling from returning him to sleep. At the same time Optimus struggled with the overwhelming desire to kill, to tear, and to destroy everything. It was only through monstrous efforts on both their parts that Optimus was given enough time to offer up the Matrix's power to put Unicron back into stasis. At which point most of the power Optimus had gained due his maker waking fled him, causing him to collapse immediately, his frame struggling to handle the loss of both the power of Unicron and the Matrix.
By the time the team got there, Optimus was still out cold on the floor, his frame smoking and barely functioning as his spark flickered and tried to pull him back together. Megatron was nowhere to be found, evidently not wanting anything to do with whatever it was Optimus had become, even if the Prime was weakened. As such the team faced no retaliation as they hauled Optimus back to base and had him taken to Ratchet who promptly dragged his unconscious frame to the medical bay for examination. Optimus remained out of comission for nearly a week as his frame slowly began to patch itself up. the gaping holes that once made up his chassis and face slowly began to be filled in as his spark settled again, no longer bursting at the seams due to excess power. At the end of it all he still looked off, his frame still being taller than before and the light of his spark still glowing through the cracks in his newly reformed chassis and face. But it was better than the burning nebula of power that assaulted the team before, so they tried not to think too hard on it until Optimus could explain.
When he did wake up, they were... disappointed to say the least. Optimus was completely clueless, no memory to his name whatsoever beyond the knowledge he was born with. He didn't say a word for the first day he was awake, he simply sat or stood in some out of the way area and watched the team work. The only ones who dared try to talk to him were Ratchet and Bumblebee, but neither received anything beyond a blank stare and a brief flare of Optimus's spark, causing the glow to show through his still fractured frame. By day two the team figured out Optimus's dilemma and came to the conclusion that they needed to restore his memory via Vector Sigma with Jack's key. And by the time day three rolled around and the team were beginning to construct a plan to fix Optimus and hopefully get some answers, the Prime finally began moving. He still said nothing, but he began following different bots around and watching the humans with near preparatory gazes. It was terrifying.
The team were stuck dealing with a Prime who just... watched them for months as they struggled to get access to a space bridge. Optimus never did anything of interest, only watching. Although there were moments, mainly when different bots were alone, where he would come up behind them and his digits would ghost over sensitive neck wiring. Weather it was a threat or not was up for debate, but Optimus never harmed anyone, he merely seemed to be testing them, trying to figure them out. When it came to the children, he tended to stare and sometimes begin to reach out to them in an almost dangerous manner before pulling back and walking away like nothing happened. Bumblebee found himself tailed by Optimus most often, the Prime regularly turning up behind him and gently running his sharp digits along Bumblebee's shoulder plating or helm. He never did any actual damage, but still the team were beyond relieved when they got access to the space bridge and were able to send Jack and Arcee after Vector Sigma. Megatron didn't even try to stop them after he saw Optimus's blank expression and unnaturally still posture.
Arcee: Scrap!
Megatron: Hand over the key to Vector Sigma!
Optimus: *coming up slowly behind him* ...
Megatron: *slowly looking back at the Prime* ...
Optimus: *squinting slightly, his digits flexing* ...
Megatron: *releasing Arcee* Upon due consideration, perhaps it would be best for your Prime to be restored to his full faculties.
Optimus was restored without any additional resistance from Megatron who remained out of desire to make sure that the Prime he was used to came back. Thankfully for everyone involved, with the Matrix restored, Optimus's memories and nature were returned and put back into balance. His frame smoothed out a little more, the cracks still visible but no longer glowing an ominous mix of blue and purple with every burst of emotion. With their work done, the Autobots returned to base and Megatron left for the nemesis, content in knowing that Optimus wasn't going to turn back into that monster he saw before Unicron again any time soon.
Of course upon his return the first thing Optimus was met with was hugs and exclamations of joy at his restoration, especially from the human children who had begun to associate Optimus with danger due to his previous behavior. However after a few minutes of that, the elephant in the room was brought up and forcefully addressed.
Bumblebee: What happened to you Optimus? Why did you- *gestures to Optimus* -become like that?
Optimus: ...Do you really want an answer?
Bulkhead: Prime, whatever that was scared the scrap out of us. So yes, we would like to know what caused it.
Arcee: And I would personally like to know why you referred to Unicron as "father".
Optimus: ...
Ratchet: Optimus, please. Talk to us, tell us what happened.
Optimus: I am no creation of Primus... I never was.
Optimus told them everything he recalled, telling them of his creation and how he was built to blend in among Primus's children and then to slaughter them. He told them of how he was changed by Primus and lovingly cared for. He told them of his bonds with the Primes and of how he fought for balance rather than destruction when all was said and done. He told them of his memoryless rebirth as Orion Pax and of his subsequent reawakening when he became Prime. And lastly he told them of his eternal struggle against his own nature as both his ideals clashed with one another.
When he was finished speaking, he could feel the gap that grew between himself and his team. Ratchet looked... lost, almost like he was unsure of how to act or look at Optimus now that the truth was out. Arcee was visibly horrified and scurried away from Optimus, not talking to or even looking at him for weeks afterward. Bulkhead was in a similar situation to Ratchet, not knowing how to respond to the knowledge or how Optimus's identity was supposed to affect their relationship. Bumblebee seemed conflicted and at war with himself, hating Optimus one moment and then apologetic the next as he tried to come to terms with just who his Sire really was. June and Fowler kept their distance after the reveal, worried that he might explode or something of the like. They tried to keep the children away, and honestly, Optimus couldn't blame them. The human children not being stuck with the deep-set horror that came from being raised Cybertronian were more open. They could see Optimus was not proud of his origins or nature and were kind to him when the rest of the team were not. They offered him companionship throughout the first few weeks after his restoration as best they were able, only allowing the bond between them to grow.
Miko: So you are robo-satan's kid?
Optimus: That is a very crude but not incorrect statement.
Miko: Huh. So do you have robo-antichrist powers?
Optimus: I have an immortal spark and gain greater power when my maker is active.
Miko: Neat.
Optimus: ...Are you not bothered by my origins?
Miko: No, it's pretty cool actually since you are fighting for goodness and stuff despite being the robo-antichrist.
Jack: It doesn't really bother me so long as you don't go all evil on us again.
Rafael: Agreed. So long as you are a good person, I don't see a need to judge you based on who your dad is.
Things were awkward around base even after weeks had gone by. And the team not being all that subtle about their rather mixed feelings on the battlefield meant that the Decepticons eventually picked up the truth as well. And Primus, did it not blow over well at all. Megatron and the Decepticons were horrified, not because Optimus was the son of Unicron. No, there were horrified because all this time they had been jumping on top of a landmine and never knew it. The child of the dark god was a devastating apocalypse waiting to happen and they had been marching all over it for millennia. Vehicons stopped fighting the moment Optimus turned up, terrified of being destroyed by the prince of darkness. Named Decepticons of all kinds became increasingly wary and Megatron kept flip flopping between being cautious and taunting Optimus into calling upon Unicron for power.
At the end of it all, Optimus found himself lonely and afraid. He did not fear death or even his father's influence. No, he feared being alone. He could feel his team pulling away from him. He could sense Bumblebee block their father-son spark bond in rebellion. And he could see the life he had built for himself crumbling down around him in wake of his origins. His instincts wanted to rise, telling him to take back his possessions even if they didn't like it. But that only made Optimus more guilty. And in the end he spent far more time alone, contemplating and speaking to his father as no other save the children would dare speak with him. More than once he cried due to the loneliness, but he always returned to base no matter how coldly he was treated to fight another battle. He would not abandon his family, even if they abandoned him.

Avatar brainrot for remaining three sequels... (RAMBLINGS + THEORIES)
*Disclaimer: some of these opinions/theories are based on my opinion on natural story progression, some are just my wishes and hopes. I just have to let it out somewhere because my brain won't stop giving me these thoughts!
**Disclaimer 2: THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS
I've seen first Avatar when it came out back in 2009 (I was 12) and am now even more in love with The way of water (though I'm 9 months late with the actual watch). And considering I appreciate the organization and thinking about the entire franchise, here are some things that I THINK MIGHT HAPPEN or that IT'D BE NICE IF THEY HAPPENED in three sequel movies.
Avatar: The Seed Bearer
It'll be revealed Kiri is actually Pandora's "Jesus" (cause she is) and she'll become even more powerful
Lo'ak will be our narrator, but focus will most likely be on Kiri and Spider more than him or they'll share equal amount of attention in movie plot
The plot will continue very shortly after the battle against tulkun hunters and Neteyam's death, maybe a few months later
Fire Na'vi or "Ash people" could be outcasts from other Na'vi clans because of some crimes/taboos they have committed; Varang will probably have some personal vendetta, maybe even against Jake or Omatikaya in general
Quaritch will definitely join forces with Varang and Ash people
Quaritch and Jake custody battle over Spider
Spider will be shown in even more positive light
Lo'ak suffering intense survivor's guilt over Neteyam's demise and his relationship with his family could further deteriorate OR they could become even closer
Neytiri will have some kind of deep internal conflict, tipping her into more morally gray territory
Spider might have a fallout with Sullys after they find out he saved Quaritch from drowning
We could find out that Eywa actually conceived Kiri with Grace's avatar body
More scenes of Neteyam's memories, especially when his siblings need him the most or are unsure about their future endevors which might show us completely different side of Neteyam, one that couldn't be properly flashed out in TWOW
More screen time for Tsireya and Ao'nung (and us possibly seeing their younger sibling that Ronal is currently carrying)
By some strange twist, Spider (and possibly other Sully kids) end up being shipped to Earth
Avatar: The Tulkun Rider
Earth is the main playground this time around
Lo'ak and Spider might share the equal amount of importance in the plot
Finding the way to go back to Pandora
Gaining more human allies
Plot reversal: they learn how it is to live on dying Earth
This time, a bit more time has passed (because cryo-sleep)
WARNING- FAT WISH AND DELUSION WITH THIS ONE: Possibility of Neteyam's resurrection because of avatar program, making him a new body and transferring his memories/consciousness from Eywa to the body; avatar looks, speaks and behaves like Neteyam, but it's not actually Neteyam; Spider might play biggest role in this wishful theory and might finally fall in Neytiri's graces
If Kiri is in the movie, her and Spider deepen their relationship even more
Spider possibly getting his own avatar body
Main battle of the movie is still on Pandora and Payakan makes his return
Quaritch is still ever-present but might also tip over into morally gray
Jake and Neytiri might not be in the movie as much as we're used to
Avatar: The Quest for Eywa
SOME OF THESE ARE ONLY IF MY WISHFUL THEORY REALLY HAPPENS AND NETEYAM IS BACK TO THE WORLD OF THE LIVING
Lo'ak completing his character arc and we see a lot of similarities/mirroring between him and his dad
"It is Neteyam but not original Neteyam", his own inner conflict and finding his place
We might possibly lose either Jake or Neytiri (god forbid both)
Final confirmation and possible marriage of Lo'ak and Tsireya
Big assembly of all previous characters and picking sides
Entire Pandora is now a huge battlefield
Possible big return of Toruk?
Finally making peace with humans
Quaritch finally dead for good
Remember, these are just my wishes. Gotta wait until 2025/2029/2031 to see what'll actually happen.
Also, NETEYAM PLEASE COME BACK!

Imagine if in a AU or something like that, Quaritch spent more time with Spider, and he starts influencing some of his views of people. Nothing drastic but he ends up with a lot of stories before the hometree battle.
He now has a vivid image about Parker, a not so vivid but still appreciated image about her mother. Also, Quaritch tells him about Grace, Trudy and the other scientist.
He tells him about Jake too.
At first it was not pretty, filled with betrayal and hate. He tells Spider about how Sully fell in love with Pandora, (he says it as a bad thing, but Spider relates so much he’s mesmerized by the story)
But then he started talking (probably unconsciously) about good things, how he was stubborn, and that’s what kept him alive those months. How he was a good soldier, how he was brave, etc.
And it gets personal later, (in my mind Quaritch views Jake -especially Avatar 1 Jake- as something close to a son) and he shows that view to spider.
He tells him about how he was worried when the reports came in that sully wasn’t taking care of his human body, because he was so in love with his Avatar one. (Again, Spider completely understands)
He talks about the betrayal, but not from a RDA point, form a personal one. Jake betrayed HIM. (Sadly, Spider can relate to that one too)
And by the time he gets back to the Sullys he has a different view of Jake. And, involuntarily, they feel more like brothers than anything else. (That also makes the custody battle easier when Quaritch comes back)
——
(Something similar to the brother thing could happen with kiri if she talks with Grace)
I love making quaritch a soft asshole, like still a maniac and a major asshole, but his got a very small but very much their soft spot. so I'm gonna run with this.
no matter what he said, what he did, that tiny part of him loved and appreciated the people around him; jake, grace, his squad, etc.
jake was like his kid, his boy, the kid he had to drag out of the avatar room to get some sun, the kid he had to carry to infirmity cause he hadn't eaten in 2 days and passed out on reentry. he told spider that jake was the biggest idiot he had ever seen in his life, and that he was surprised he made it this far.
he talks about 'the quacks' how he respected even the nerdiest of them, because they never backed don from a challenge. he talks about grace, how she's been like an asshole of a big sister, and he liked that, she always bit back at him, she made life fun. he even admits regretting what his human self did, shooting her.
miles's stories never end, he always has a new one, the more he talks the more he remember's, and at first that scares spider, thinking it may bring out more the man he's heard about, but in fact it does the opposite. spider catch's glimpses of humanity in his dad, as he recals stories of another life... and maybe, just maybe, he starts rethinking that whole 'monster' thing. sure he was a bad person, he lead the war, but maybe there was a heart in him, maybe in this new life, he had a chance to be different.
soon enough he finds himself looking forward to nights by the fire, listening to stories about how he used to mess with grace, how he had to help her take care of jake so he didn't end up in a coma, how he and his squad has their whoo's and whims with the science and flight crew (quaritch with paz, lyle shooting his shot with anything that moved... including norm @little-box-of-autism knows what I'm talking about, zdog and one of the other lady pilots), adventures on pandora. he gets to know about the life the preceded him, his mother, jake, kiri's mom, the war. he was always told knowledge was power, so he remembers it all, and hopes that one day he has the power to change things.

(I just finished it seconds ago so sorry if I get any details wrong)
Just as I was starting, twitter notif recced a 911 tweet. I don't go near 911 twitter so who knows why. Anyway, they were angry that Eddie wasn't in the dream and I found that weird. It's about how Buck changed their lives so of course Eddie isn't there. We *know* without Buck he would have been lost.
Eddie was his first real world memory. His annoyance at the suggestion that he went up a ladder without a spotter because *clearly* he had Eddie was obvious imo.
His next real world memory, the only thing he noticed from was a ferris wheel. Christopher and the tsunami. Showing us his 'loving family' in the alt world but the glaring problem is Christopher isn't there. His son.
And then what happened to 'Firefighter Diaz' and his son. Of course that makes sense. Angry Eddie, Eddie in the being struggled with his emotions and has no partner to turn to and open up. No Carla because Buck introduced them. An ugly custody battle with his parents because there was no Buck to help him through and do what Buck has always down. Christopher being raised by his grandparents, like Eddie specifically told Buck he never wanted.
Eddie's worst nightmares coming true because Buck wasn't there to have his back like they promised.
And then he's trying to leave his dream, it's Christopher he has to flatly deny and run from. Why? Because he knows that Christopher (and finding Eddie) is the thing that he could lose himself in and keep him there. His parents? No way, he liked seeing that version of him but he realised he didn't need it if he's OK with being himself. Buck even notes he'll feel guilty from the flat no. He *knows* they are his family with the real pull.
Arguably, it's easier to used Christopher to symbolise it because the father figure role came so naturally. It's not scary to take on but admitting Eddie is so much more *is* terrifying and that's why Christopher is a far safer avatar to symbolise the Buckley-Diaz family.
I know people got their hopes up about the couch stuff and this is a good reminder that speculation fun isn't a promise. And his parent make sense with the plot even if I do nor like them.
Eddie and Chris will absolutely be vital, Buck's PTSD makes sense to be Buck and Eddie contect because Eddie had his own PTS arc last year.
So, yeah, these are my initial reaction thoughts before I've seen any posts at all. Interested to see what everyone else thinks but yeah.
Also Eddie breaking the rules because Chris's bond with Buck is so important? Yes, thank you, we love to see it.
