I understand why they’d use Aang’s strategy of baiting the canyon crawlers with food and then covering their mouths with the sacks to both keep them from biting and act as a sort of bit and rein combo...But there’s no real reason why they’d be working together to do it? Even if you need pairs, it seems like each tribe has an equal amount of people, so it really just seems out of nowhere that they all just choose to team up like they did.

AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER | Water, Earth, Fire, Air | Netflix

If I had a nickel for every show I’ve seen that follows a strong spirited blue-eyed heroine who lost her mother at a young age to a fire that can be linked back to colonial violence and who seeks revenge for that but who is also strongly associated with water and the colour blue, who travels with her close companion who happens to be a a bald and childlike yet oddly wise individual with traits both physical and emotional that line up with association of air and the colour grey, who eventually fight and then travel with a stubborn fighter who has never lost a battle before encountering them and is associated with earth and the colour green, as well as a fourth character that represents fire and the colour red and who is a royal/noble trying desperately to ensure control over her own destiny for the sake of freedom and power and who very much acts as a narrative foil to the water/blue character, and one of the former two characters is obsessed with honor to the point point that they are willing to actively aid their enemy just so that they can personally be the one to bring them down and are also sporting one half of a whole haircut for reasons also associated with honour and humiliation, and all this takes place in either east asia or an east asian inspired setting with both plenty of nuance and entertainment value to be found, then I’d have two nickels… which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice, right?

You know what I want. Hazbin Hotel filler episodes. I need to see Angle and Husk go out on the town and go get lunch and have a shopping montages and go on a romantic walk moonlit through the park while the sub plot is that Nifty is taking down a rat drug cartel or some Perry the Platypus shit.
I want to see Charlie's flashback episode backstory because it's really hard to care about a character we barely see. What caused her to be so naive and optimistic? What inspired her to start the hotel? How did she cope with her mom disappearing? What was her day to day like before Vaggie? Or just an episode of Charlie and Vaggie trying to recruit patrons to the hotel which for some reason we never see in detail.
An episode of Alastor going about town doing evil shit. We could learn how he knows the other overlords. Or an episode about what it was like for him just as he entered Hell. What was his journey as he rose to power? Did he ask himself what his mother was thinking about her baby boy not coming over for Sunday dinner?
The new idea that a season needs to be 8 episodes long is ruining storytelling. If Avatar the Last Aibender only had 10 episodes a season it would have sucked. So many shows had the opportunity to be so good but were never given the opportunity to live up to their full potential.

After another assassination attempt, the Firelord realized his legacy may not be as solid as he previously thought. His failure of a son, Zuko, may be the answer for his concerns and a way to keep the royal family secure. However, he forgot two things: One, Zuko is banned. And two, he didn't specifically prohibit Watertribe savages to participate on his hunt to bring him back.

Ok, so revisiting this drawing was interesting. At first I thought I didn't need to change the pose(just redraw it with my 2020 skills), until I realized Toph would definitely be earthbending a bigger boulder with her foot. Also since I still had in mind my headcanon that she was aiming at Sokka, I thought I'd accentuate her mischievious smile while drawing her in what she'd think would be a casual pose. I think Sokka isn't fooled though, he knows danger is coming!
I changed the composition too, I looked at references of her parent's garden and realized there weren't any bushes in the middle of the grass. Since I now have a lot more choices for colors, I went for a more desaturated (and realistic) look for the rocks and trees. I think the lack of earthy colors gave this drawing more of an Earth Kingdom color scheme.
Lastly I updated her costume with a style I like better now.
I really like the way this draw it again turned out!
Do you prefer this one or the old one?
