Yes! One of the things I think a lot of people forget is that in Avengers, it's not Fury's idea to use Coulson's death to bring the Avengers together; it's Coulson's. As he's dying, he tells Fury, "they needed something to fight for," (or something along those lines, I'd have to go watch that scene again for the exact dialogue and I don't feel like it rn). It's literally his dying wish to have Fury use his memory to bring the Avengers together, and Fury honors that! Hill gives him shit for the whole thing with the Captain America trading cards, but being a cynical bastard isn't the (only) reason he did it - he also did it because Coulson asked him to. Because that's who Coulson is.

It really makes me emotional how Phil Coulson has always symbolized union, bringing people from different places and being the glue that holds them together. I love how this is codified into his Marvel appearances, from his roles in almost every Phase I movie, literally being the Superhero Wrangler, to his death leading to the Avengers coming together, to then creating a new team of people who would end up being as close as family. I love how AoS carries on this idea, how he continues to be the "guy who brings in strays", like people headcanon he did with Barton, like we saw he did with Daisy, and would do with others like Kara, how he's literally "the one who can bring all the pieces together". That's literally who he is. We (and him) joke about Dying being his superpower. But I think his real power is that he is the very personification of the ideal he inherited from Fury's "a man can accomplish anything once he realizes he's a part of something bigger". And people do come together for him. He's the one who makes possible the whole solution because he brings together the pieces that solve the puzzle. He is more than just Fury's right hand man, more than the Director, more than the dad of the group. He's literally the heart and soul of early MCU and AoS, the symbol, the one that took the potential that so many extraordinary people, powered and otherwise, had, and managed to make them work like well-oiled machines, long after he was already gone.

Random Loki Laufeyson/Odinson Headcanons

» Hey, I'm back with headcanons again, this time on Loki! I love this character so much, he's probably my favourite in the mcu and I had a few random ideas, let's just say it's to warm up aha. I didn't know what to choose between Odinson or Laufeyson for the title… As I'm especially attached to the beginning of Loki in the mcu... anyway! I hope you'll like it!

♛ The snake symbol was never chosen by Loki himself; he simply accepted that he was associated with the reptile only through the eyes of others. Over the years he has learned to love it and to play with it.

♛ When he was a child Loki was a real bookworm, spending all his time reading before his brother came along just to annoy him and force him to play outside.

♛ Loki would have hated it the first time he tasted coffee, but he soon learned to love the taste and can't do without it when he's in Midgard.

♛ During the festivities in Asgard, Loki was always more wine than beer.

♛ Whilst travelling incognito on Midgard, Loki develops a passion for human theatre and tries to see a play whenever he can. He always travelled hidden from Heimdall, Odin and his brother Thor. Only his mother knew of his escapades on Midgard. When the two of them got together, he would tell her the stories he had seen with passion, and his mother loved to see him express himself and theorise about all the plays he had seen.

Also you new Marvel fans are so quick to dismiss that The Avengers 2012 are dead. They literally all live together in Stark Tower.

that place is big enough for all of them just relocate some office space. They sleep and watch movies together and Clint is in the Vent, Yelena points it out but everyone hushes her to watch the intense part of the movie. Thor, John, and Bob shove poptarts in their mouths. Tony and Sam Bucky Steve all work on new amour tech. Alexi, Antonia and Natasha bond over their love for Yelena. Bruce, and Ava are giggling about Physics jokes, and Clint is STILL IN THE FUCKING VENTS.

No cause his eyebrows were so good in Thor 1. They match his features so well and help him look so youthful and “innocent” compared to him in the Avengers. Whoever did them did such a good job and I also like that they chose not to do anything with them in the next movies. It helps Thor 1 Loki stand out!!

I think the 2012 Avengers trope is still so beloved in fandom is because we all miss what might have been. In their eagerness for a fight scene every 20 minutes, Marvel forgot that a lot of people loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. Post party scene in AoU, there just wasn't time for that among all the fight scenes.
