mashing together my two teenage years interests for dopamine
#johndirk#dirkjohn#homestuck#john egbert#dirk strider#my art#touhoustuck#just a funny little au because some of the parallels and ways character powers reflect eachother is fun#john is in no way as manipulative or a mastermind as yukari but his retcon powers are a very interesting vessel for yukaris gap powers#especially when his hand stuck out in a bunch of pages lol i like to imagine if he could master the powers it would let him do her teleport#around and spy nonsense but he'd just use it to be a class a prankster and for magic tricks#on the other hand yuyuko and dirk have an interesting parallel but one that is more like...the entire point is the culmination of#their characters despite the way they have these splinters. like yuyuko isnt nearly as fragmented as dirk but#theres a distinction between the yuyuko who was alive and the yuyuko whos dead and what she becomes after#its unclear if post PCB shes aware shes the one who sealed the saigyouji ayakashi away but she also just thinks its better for her#not to go down that rabbithole. she'd probably become worse if she did and with dirk he has that clarity with dave when they talk that like#even if there are worse versions of him out there. the fact he thinks and stops before proceeding separates him and i like to think that#is something he takes to heart with him post canon to stop beating himself up so much. umh also soul powers = ghost powers lalala#just silly and self indulgent tbh like im not extrapolating or translating backstories but in this au its fun to think o#humans turning into youkai like yukari used to be human and so did yuyuko. john and dirk used to be human and went godtier...anyways

since ayakashi : romance reborn is set in a historic period can i ask for modern day headcanons of toichiro, shizuki, koga, kyonosuke and/or kagemaru? especially relationship hcs id love to see what kind of experiences they'd gravitate to in the modern period
also with all the new technologies and whatnot haha id also like to see who struggles with technology the most/least 😆
anon I was battling with this one so! what I've done is I'm splitting this into two parts; here's the first two boys, and feel free to lmk if this is along the lines of what you initially wanted, or if you'd like me to do something else with the next three boys. I'll keep working on them and post the second half on another day once it's done.

Toichiro:
Toichiro is adaptable. When he wakes up in your timeline, far ahead of his own, he seems completely unfazed— in fact, before you can catch him, he’s moved all your furniture to the left and is laughing with you trip over your couch. Deep down, he’s probably a bit uncomfortable with his new situation, but he’s going to pretend otherwise.
Whether he’s in a hurry to return home or not— he doesn’t really care, as long as he’s with you— Toichiro’s curiosity surges like a revived bonfire, enthusiasm kindled to new heights by the strange world around him. He wants to experience everything. Unsurprisingly, his favorite part about your world is all the new shopping; clothes in styles he’s never seen before, foods imported impossibly cheap from all over the globe. Of course, the money in his pockets is all but useless now— you wouldn’t mind footing the bill for awhile, would you?
Despite being effectively stranded— or maybe because of that exact reason— Toichiro finds himself trying harder than ever to take care of you, while also completely refusing to admit it. His valiant efforts fall short; no matter how many times you walk him through it, he just can’t get the hang of the stovetop, so he’s constantly getting takeout— except smartphones are also a bit too much for him, so he ends up having to just go out himself and place the orders. But without you around to lead him through this new city, he keeps getting lost— oh no, guess you’ll just have to hold hands on the walk home.
Shizuki:
When you stumble out of your bedroom only to find Shizuki standing at your stove, trying to boil enough water for tea, you’re probably more surprised than he is. When you whisper a startled morning greeting, he just grunts and waves you away from the stove. It’s the way he white-knuckle grips your hand towels that betrays his nerves. Kitchens haven’t changed that much over the centuries— in here, he can at least pretend he wasn’t dragged eons away from home.
As long as you’ve known him, Shizuki hasn’t really been the type to rely so heavily on anyone; despite being clearly out of his depth, startled by things as simple as passing cars, he keeps his jaw set and refuses to admit he’s unnerved by this new world. He’s not very good at hiding it though— he’s snippier than usual when you ask if you can help with chores, since this is your house, after all. You can’t even pour him a drink to relax— even though most of his powers won’t activate now, he still can’t hold his alcohol, and it isn’t long before he’s fussing loudly.
It’s a bit of a surprise, but he adapts to modern technology well; you lent him your cellphone to show him something, and it wasn’t long before he reorganized your apps and added a few of his own, scrolling through endless amounts of cooking blogs and saving more recipes than he’ll ever be able to make. He’s also learned the joys of television after a long day— you come home and find him curled up on the couch, eyes fixed intently on some soap opera that’s older than you are. If you don’t laugh at him, he’ll let you sit next to him, and then he starts explaining the drama of this story you’ve probably heard before.

I wonder if Yuugiri has a snake tail, like a naga, or does he have legs ?
I imagine him using his tail to make us trip in his arms.
That's a good question! Some of them are very vague in terms of origins, like Murasaki, but I always wondered if the ones with a definite spirit should have a second beastly form. So Kiritsubo, in his ultimate form, could be an enormous dragon. And someone like Sekiya or Yuugiri would also have degrees of variety, from horned humans to spider/snake lower halves, and so on.
Therefore, both scenarios are correct. Yuugiri can switch between his human and monstrous form. I'd include a doodle, but I still haven't decided on his design yet. For whatever reason, I always immediately associate him with Kagemaru from Ayakashi Romance Reborn and I can't imagine anything else. 😭 No idea why, they're kind of similar but also very different. Maybe it's the smugness.

the demon's debt (wip weekday)
continuing the motivation i've got going on this week here's another little smidge from the inn for spirits au for my kaijou lovers out there, y'all knew i was putting a marriage contract in this
Voices roused Jounouchi. He groaned as he buried his head deeper into the blanket. He loved to spend his first few waking minutes pretending he was anywhere else but here. He imagined the air was sweet with the smell of cypress and lime, and the sheets he wore were silk, and there was a warmth that brimmed the air. A purring sound nearby sent his hand reaching out instinctively, and he clutched soft fur.
Jounouchi lifted his head up.
Red Eyes sat on the futon with him, unblinking as she purred, both tails curled around her feet. That was the most normal thing he saw. This was not his room, not his bed, not his clothes! He looked down at the yukata that had been tied around his waist, black in color and embroidered with a red dragon design. The blue silk sheets draped over the low bed, and the wooden walls were dark but cozy in their embrace. Somewhere, he could hear a bubbling spring, water being poured, the scrape of stone tableware. The perfumed air clung in his nostrils, filling his senses. He climbed to his feet and threw himself at the nearby window, staring out at what he saw.
And what he saw was this: the dark wood of a large inn traveled down the rocky path of an island, surrounded on all sides by dark water that reflect that fat full moon ten sizes too large that hung heavy in the star studded sky. Boats on the shoreline, and in the sky balloons with propellers that hung lazily. Beyond the bay’s water he could see land and more lights, a town perhaps, that reflected gold across the salt smelling waves. Kites flew above, and streaking over them was a dragon that moved in lazy waves, pouring wisps from it like faerie fire. And below, on the rocky shore of the island, onsens were half-hidden by wooden slats, but he could still make out the creatures that soaked in the water. A large fox with nine tails curled beside three kappa that rolled their heads back, paying no mind to the water spilling out. An ogre traipsed by, wearing a yukata, dragging his large brutish arms on the ground. Other creatures, some with noses like elephants, or tails like snakes, or long hair that trailed behind like a woodblock painting. Yokai, oni, ayakashi, all in one place. All in this place, which was not Domino, might not even be Japan.
Okay, now Jounouchi was starting to panic.
There was only one exit to the room if he didn’t feel like scaling the wall, and that was the shoji door. He threw himself at it, grabbing the wood, and threw it back, and he came face to face with a demon.
Jounouchi shouted, falling backwards, and landed right on his ass. Towering over with was the dragon that had grabbed his wrist. Now he wore a kamishimo of ice blue, with intricate lines depicting scales that that arced with the wide shoulders. A house name was written on a crest, the characters for sea horse. He still wore the dragon’s mask that grinned at him. The face beneath was solid, the chin set strong, and his blue eyes glowed.
“Good, you’re awake,” the demon said. “Isono, escort our guest.”
From behind him emerged an even larger shape, and Jounouchi’s mouth dropped in horror. An oni in a well tailored suit started forward, grabbing Jounouchi by the arm and dragging him into the air. He was dropped gracefully back onto his feet.
“Let go,” Jounouchi said automatically. He yanked his arm free and took a step back. “Where am I?”
“You are a guest of my establishment,” the demon said. “This is the Dragon’s Den, an inn that sits between the Hidden Realm and human realm. It is a place where spirits come to rest on their travels.”
“Okay,” Jounouchi said. “What am I doing here?”
A single twitch marred the demon’s face. “I told you. Your hand was sold to me, and I have come to claim my debt. By the next moon’s cycle we will be wed.”
“No,” Jounouchi said. “No, no, that’s made up. I never made a deal with any demon, first off, and second off, we can’t get married, we’re two guys.”
He smirked. “Isono, if you please.”
The ogre reached into his jacket and removed a scroll, unrolling it for Jounouchi to see. The kanji swam in front of his eyes, but by the end it was clear. All debts to be repaid in full and, failing that, the seizure of one Jounouchi Katsuya, signed and sealed by Jounouchi Koji.
Jounouchi stared at his father’s name, signed in his hand, and all he could say was, “Motherfucker.”
“Quite,” the demon said. “Five years ago your father walked into my gaming establishment and marked a debt in booze, food, and gambling that he was unable to pay. Laws in the demon realm are fluid in what can be traded, as long as equal value is established. Last month, your father passed, didn’t he? With his debt still unpaid, I am forced to turn to my next option.”
“But–” Jounouchi stared up at him, eyes wide. “How much was it?”
“Three million yen.”
“Three–” Jounouch felt the same way as when he took the lead pipe to the ribs. He almost hit the floor. He couldn’t even make the words that followed, could only stare and gasp like a dying fish.
“I was generous, of course,” the demon said. “A man shouldn’t be expected to give away his only son just like that. I offered him to work off the debt, or give repayment, but he never did. Normally with humans I can be forgiving. They leave this place believing it was only a dream, but this is not an insignificant payment. It leaves me with no choice, which is why to absolve your debt, I’ll take you as my bride.”
“Stop saying that,” Jounouchi spat. “I’m nobody’s bride, okay, and like I said, we can’t exactly get hitched.”
The demon grinned with white and shiny teeth. “In the human realm, it’s more difficult, but the Hidden Realm does not worry about such things. You will wed me, and I cannot exactly pay your debt to myself, so it will be rendered null. It is the fair proposition.”
“No, it’s stupid. Why would I even want to marry you?”
“I am rich, I am powerful, I am loved.” He held out his hands. “Would you like more reason?”
“Look,” Jounouchi said, stamping his foot down, “I can’t marry a demon, and I can’t marry anybody I just met. I don’t even know your name!”
“I have forgone introductions,” he said with a bow. “My name is Kaiba Seto, the White Dragon of the East. I am lord of everything east to the mountains, and this place is under my protection. As are you, so long as you’re here.”
“But–” Jounouchi sucked in a breath. “But why me?”
The demon lord looked at him through his mask. He considered him a beat too long, and then he shook his head. “You have the gift to see our kind. You are young and strong. Your heart is kind and brave. All those things make you delicious to our kind. If I can keep you, I can devour you at my leisure, or all at once, or not at all, if I so wish it.”
“Devour me?” Jounouchi crossed his arms in front of him. “No, absolutely not.”
“I am afraid you don’t have much choice in the matter.”

Another World Ogiri September 2023 [What are Rouge and Omega doing...? ]
★Example
I was told that my apology was 30% insufficient.
Two characters appear every month in surprising outfits and situations! Let's enjoy Ogiri together with illustrations that will make your imagination run wild!
This time, Rouge, who is working on ikebana in a dignified kimono, and Omega, who is wearing a hakama, are appearing, looking on with awe! What is Rouge's purpose in arranging steel flowers beautifully?
What kind of lines or narration would you use?
You can style it based on the atmosphere and world view of the two of you in the game, or you can create a bold arrangement! In the example, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to express the very unique instructions...but it's OK to use such free-spirited jokes!
Please enjoy it and tweet with the tag "#Isekai Ogiri" on Twitter (X) ♪
We will introduce the good ones in a reply from Sonic's official Twitter (X) account.
We are looking forward to your fun Ogiri posts!
Act9: “Just like me”
...Once upon a time in the Warring States era.
An evil light emitted by a sinister iron ark that flew from the sky. What bursts forth from the red-purple light is the ``Karakurihana'', an iron ayakashi.
The sharp leaves cut through armor, and the buds of fiery flowers sprinkle hellfire... The folk grasses of the world are terrified by the raging Karakuri flowers.
The only person who can control the turmoil of Karakurihana is the most honorable and powerful warrior...his name is Omega.
The founder, Omega, found ``beauty'' in the life of a flower that single-mindedly seeks a deadly fight, and gave it life as a mechanical samurai. The founder, Omega, named it ``Senka.''
This is the beginning of the ``Omega style of Senkado'', where Senka compete against each other and the winner is considered to be the true beauty.
And the time is modern...
Omega-style Senka Arrangement boasts a history of hundreds of years.
Due to the severity of the training, not a single disciple has yet appeared... Among the many disciples is an up-and-coming bat beauty, Rouge the Bat. ....?
<<Dogagagaga! >>
"That's it! It's a violation to have three layers of heavy weapons!"
``Senkado begins with every human being, and there is no violation or foul play on the battlefield.''
Rouge's Senka can do nothing against the rain of bullets fired from Omega's Senka.
Omega's Senka is overwhelming as it continues its onslaught with an abundance of firearm-type contraption flowers. With a final blow of the sharp leaf, Rouge's Senka is cut in two. The winner was decided easily.
Rouge's Senkado begins and ends with beauty.
Dressed in a gorgeous kimono herself, she gives instructions to Senka one after another and fights brilliantly as one human flower, so that her clothes don't wear out in the slightest after the match. That's her style.
Now, among the Omega-style disciples, there was no one who could compete with Rouge, but all they could do was scatter their flowers and leaves in front of Omega... Today's practice match also had a disastrous result.
Perhaps unable to see Rouge depressed, Omega pulls out a pair of scissors that emit a strong glow from his pocket.
"Disclose mission rewards"
"that's......!"
It is the ``Vajra Stone Flower Scissors'' that are awarded only to those who have passed on.
Rouge's real goal is to obtain these scissors. This was the driving force behind all her efforts.
The sparkle of the large diamond on the handle...how beautiful. I can't help but sigh.
"Be even more diligent!"
Rouge regained her energy for a moment when she saw the rare treasure, but Omega's words brought her back to reality and her shoulders slumped again.
......A trudging walk home in the twilight.
Every day of training, I have put in an unprecedented amount of effort for the sake of scissors... Even though I keep running, the goal is still getting farther and farther away. Rouge let out a huge sigh of despair, but suddenly stopped as she felt something strange.
Yes, right now, I'm very unconventional. What are you so serious about?
She stared up at the moon for a few seconds or minutes... Rouge let out a short sigh and smiled mischievously.
“Wouldn’t it be nice to have it in a beautiful way, just like me?”
A few moments later. On a different note, there is Kougyokuen, a fabric made of mechanical flowers that was once built by sealing off the place where the ark from heaven crashed.
There, Omega was seen firing heavy weapons and cutting down the flowers, and Rouge was supporting him.
<<Zugagagagaga...! >>
Kougyokuen is not just a ``karakuri flower production area''. It is also an isolation facility that confines the ferocious Karakurihana, and requires periodic ``thinning.''
In exchange for her help, Rouge was allowed to see the scissors kept in the back again. The purpose is nothing more than a preview of storage security.
"Incineration! Cutting down! Karakuri flowers are eliminated!"
As Omega knocks down the attacking Karakurihana one after another, Rouge can't help but smile when she sees his Senkadou.
And we arrived at the innermost part of Kogyokuen...
There, the coveted pair of scissors was enshrined in a covered but wind-swept gazebo, shining brightly.
An overwhelming presence that does not fade even in the dark. The blade, which is transparent like ice, diffuses the slightest light and shines in rainbow colors. When Rouge instinctively reaches for the scissors that are left unprotected...
Hidden Senka placed on both sides of the scissors are activated! In an instant, the ivy grew and covered the scissors.
"Protected by strict security"
“Hmm.”
Rouge looked impressed, but from her point of view, this kind of security was playing tricks on children. It seemed like it would be easy to break through. Even on her way home after leaving Omega, Rouge continues to walk with her, grinning. Enough security checks already. At that moment when I thought, "She's already going to sneak in tonight..."
This time, the hardships I had gone through and the frustration of losing to Omega were now welling up in my heart.
"...Hmph"
It's not my style to keep losing and get upset.
I want scissors and I want to win against Omega. As a greedy person, I can't give up on either!
What should I do...
Rouge suddenly looked up at the sky and noticed that the Karakuri flowers that Omega had decimated by gunfire were dancing lightly in the sky. Karakurihana is a flying type that is considered unsuitable for Senka, who fights directly across from her...
At that moment, Rouge murmurs, ``It's surprisingly easy to fly,'' and has a great inspiration.
"...This is it!"
Rouge grabbed one and headed home excitedly.
On the day of the Kaiden exam. In the center of Kogyokuen, the innermost part of the dojo at the foot of the ancient "Ark" ruins...
In a magnificent hall with 12 tatami mats and 300 tatami mats, Rouge and Omega were solemnly and fiercely living out their Senka. and......
<<Boooo~! >>
The sound of a conch shell signals the start of the match.
<<Bushuuuuu! >>
At the very beginning of the opening, Rouge's Senka releases smokescreen seeds and obstructs visibility! At the same time, take a defensive stance and prepare for Omega's onslaught.
"Smoke screen jamming detected. No problems."
Omega's Senka pays no heed to this and rains down suppression fire from the sky.
<<Dogadogadoga! >>
Rouge's Senka endures through the smoke screen, but is definitely exhausted. But...the moment the smoke cleared, Omega was shocked by the sight before her eyes.
There were two Senka of Rouge...one of them was holding the "Vajra Stone Flower Scissors" high in the sky.
“Soreha!?”
"Security at Kougyokuen is for personal use only... You read that right! The treasure is Itadaki♪"
At the very beginning of the episode, Rouge separated Senka under the cover of that smoke screen, and instructed her clones using flying Karakurihana to steal the scissors.
"Rekai, fun...!"
Omega blinks at the unexpected event. An instant love was born there.
<<Gakkiin! >>
Rouge's Senka's powerful blow pierces Omega's Senka's vital point, inflicting a fatal wound.
"Unacceptable! Violation of match regulations! Foul!"
"Oh? Once the match started, there were no violations or fouls, right?"
Immediately after that, her two Senka flew with leaves and merged in the air. If you hold the scissors in the upper position, you will be able to capture Omega's Senka within range.
"Do whatever you want and get everything you want...! That's my Omega style!"
The next thing Omega saw was Rouge's dignified straight sitting position staring at the battlefield with an undisturbed demeanor... Rouge's Senka with her back cutting Omega's Senka in two with a single blow of her scissors. It was a brave figure.
<<---Kin! >>
"...Stunning."
A quiet dojo. ...A new kind of "beauty" was born here.
"Rouge, license pass and pass."
"I did it! I have to come! I like Iemoto who understand what I'm talking about♪"
Rouge plays like a little girl with scissors and a license letter in hand. The scissors had been stolen during a match, but now they were purely hers.
However, after achieving her dream, Rouge also realized that there was no longer any reason for her to stay here.
"Well, I don't care about titles or anything like that...If I get what I'm getting, I'll be too happy to go to such a seedy dojo."
Rouge muttered that and started walking away, but as if reading her thoughts, Omega took something out of her pocket.
"Second mission reward. Red stone flower scissors..."
The fiery shine of the ruby captivated Rouge's heart... She quickly turned around and instantly approached Omega, saying:
"...Tell me the details."
The "Legendary Seven Scissors" passed down in the Omega style.
Rouge, the new master teacher, took on the responsibility of sealing Kougyokuen, and while she and Omega sometimes struggled, they continued to improve each other's beauty until they had all the scissors in their hands... ..
This is the beginning of the golden age of Omega-style Senkado.
"Following the red ball..."
"The Senka battle was fun, Tails! Rouge and Omega were so cool! They have to be like that!"
Sonic was in a good mood as he watched the unexpected match from behind the bushes in Kogyokuen. Tails, who loves mecha, will also follow.
"That's right, Sonic! By the way, 'Karakurihana' seems to be a strange version of Eggman's mecha, but how does it understand its creator's orders? ...And more importantly... ...!”
Realizing an important fact, Tails returns to his serious expression and shows Sonic the readings on the energy detector in his hand.
"Look! This energy reaction. This energy wavelength...is the aftermath of the Phantom Ruby's energy!"
...``Phantom Ruby''.
It is a mysterious stone that has the power to influence the brains of living things, implant a powerful virtual reality, and twist the world. It was lost after the previous battle with Eggman's army and was supposed to have disappeared from this world...
"Energy is being emitted from this botanical garden in all directions. I'm sure there will be such a huge reaction in the aftermath all over the world...I mean..."
Sonic jumped up and landed on the Ark in the center of Kogyokuen, then grinned and continued:
"This ark is the epicenter of the incident...is that so?"
An ominous wind blows through, rustling the leaves of the contraption flower beneath their feet, and Tails, who was already investigating inside the ark, continues.
"Yeah! This ark was also a strange transformation of Eggman's battleship! I found a part that looked like a capacitor, but it had a powerful energy reaction left behind. I'm sure it was activated during the previous battle. I think the Phantom Ruby's energy was still being charged...I 'm sure Eggman made the most of it in some way!
Tails excitedly raises his head all at once. But, but..., I thought, my shoulders slumped again.
“However, this situation that is currently occurring in the world is a little different from virtual reality, and there is no way such a disparate situation could occur with a single activation... There are still so many things I don't understand.Hmm, sorry. ......”
Tails crouched down with his head in his hands.
Sonic couldn't help but feel tired, thinking that he had gotten used to sitting down so his skirt wouldn't get dirty, but when he jumped down from the top of the ark and sat next to Tails, he patted him on the shoulder and cheered him up with a smile. Masu.
"What are you talking about, Tails? It's like you know everything now!"
"...!?"
"The fact that this is ground zero means that the opposite side of the planet from here is the least affected by the energy, right? If Eggman isn't here, then shouldn't he be on that side?"
"......a!"
"If you don't understand anything else, just ask Eggman himself!"
"Oh, that's right...! I'm sorry, I'm alone and depressed again..."
"No problem, Tails! I wouldn't know anything without you. I'm counting on you!"
With that said, Sonic quickly stood up and clicked his heels, and Tails also hurriedly got ready. Why is it that I always feel happy when I'm with Sonic?
I'm sure this incident will be resolved successfully...
Confidence that rises up even though there is no solid basis for it. Tails' expression was no longer gloomy as he enthusiastically started running after Sonic.
"Now wait, Eggman! No matter where you're hiding, I won't let you escape!"

!!! Nanase outright says that Matoba was at the exorcist meeting but “something interested him” elsewhere in the building all the way back in the Assembly of Conjurers. (Like maybe that ayakashi Nanase had her eye on? Maybe hiding to eavesdrop on the buzz about Natori’s new servant?)
So Matoba’s already aware of Natsume and possibly heard rumors of Reiko all the way back then, well before the That Which Is Not Human arc. (Ch11 vs ch23.) Make of that what you will.
Lol, can you imagine if Natori hadn’t gone “not today” when Nanase told him to collect the prize money from Matoba. I’d like to believe that she hadn’t told Matoba that she’d given Natori the pot- Matoba might have objected to deceiving Natori like that for no reason. She’s toying with them both- real gaslight gatekeep girlboss of her. Gotta keep those fly by night Matoba clan heads on their toes and in their place.
Big yikes at the implication that Nanase's shiki would try to eat random guests. Like, this is a known problem. Medium huh at the implication that if Nanase’s shiki were there, then surely Matoba was too.
Really want to see more of exorcist politics: things *cannot* be a simple monarchy style situation when the biggest player’s clan head is in such an innately precarious position.
Hey, Natori, did you mean Nanase is Matoba’s “secretary, in a way” as in:
A person employed to keep records, accounts, and undertake other routine administrative duties
A person who executes the plans and directives of another, or
A politician, especially one who heads a governmental ministry

Minamoto no Yoshitsune: Chapter 5
Chapter 4
♡———♡
Yoshino: Yoshitsune-sama…?
???: …
When I called out to him hesitantly, the man turned around and removed his mask…
Yoshitsune: How did you know?
He tilted his head in wonder.
(It really was Yoshitsune-sama!)
Yoshino: Wh-Why are you... here of all places...?
(I thought the next time we'd meet would be on the battlefield...)
I called out to him on impulse, but my body stiffened at the realization that I was alone with an enemy commander, and I took a step back.
Yoshitsune: Don't be so wary. I have no intention of causing a commotion here.
Yoshino: Is that so...?
(But I can't imagine him coming to enemy territory alone. He must have someone with him...)
As I looked around, Yoshitsune-sama spoke as if he had read my mind.
Yoshitsune: I came to Kamakura alone.
Yoshitsune: I didn't even tell Benkei and the others. I infiltrated under the cover of the festival's commotion.
Yoshino: Infiltrated...?
To my question, Yoshitsune-sama kept his distance and threw out words.
Yoshitsune: Well, you've discovered my true identity, haven't you?
Yoshitsune: It was a waste, even though I tried to appear with a mask I luckily had with me.
(He went through the trouble of wearing a mask to hide his identity from me. But...)
Yoshino: Why did you even have a mask in the first place? Was it perhaps for a disguise or something...?
Yoshitsune: No.
He looked down at the fox mask, looking a little disappointed.
Yoshitsune: I don't dislike the festival atmosphere. I thought I could enjoy it a little.
(Wh-What an unexpected reason!)
(Is Yoshitsune-sama... a bit of an airhead?)
Yoshitsune: ––Anyway,
Yoshitsune: I promise I won't harm Yoshino tonight.
Yoshitsune: In exchange, you must not make a fuss until I leave.
(So it's not reconnaissance either?)
Yoshitsune-sama's straightforward words didn't seem to contain any lies.
(I know it's dangerous to trust an enemy commander, but...)
(Yoshitsune-sama kept his promise to 'spare me' before.)
(And most of all, he saved me when I was about to be assaulted by bandits.)
Encouraged by this fact, I lowered my guard.
Yoshino: Um, it's a bit late to ask, but why did you save me?
Yoshitsune: That's...
Yoshitsune-sama opened his mouth slowly, his expression unchanged.
Yoshitsune: I have no right to judge you either.
Yoshitsune: It leaves a bad taste to ignore someone when you have the means to help.
(Ah––)
**cabin flashback**
Yoshitsune: Why did you help him, knowing he was your enemy?
Yoshino: What…?
Yoshitsune: Answer me.
Yoshino: Well…
Yoshino: …I’m a pharmacist.
Yoshino: Having the means to treat someone and yet ignoring an injured person right in front of you is akin to being a murderer.
**end of flashback**
Back then, Yoshitsune-sama dismissed me, but he also said... "Everyone has contradictions."
(If he hates Yoritomo-sama enough to borrow the power of ayakashi,)
(Then surely he should kill me, who cooperates with Yoritomo, by any means necessary.)
And yet, Yoshitsune-sama extended a helping hand to me in my time of need.
Yoshino: Th... thank you, Yoshitsune-sama.
Yoshitsune: I did it of my own accord.
His nonchalant dismissal of his actions felt somewhat dazzling.
––At the same time, I recalled the day I saw Yoshitsune-sama in battle.
(I was chilled when I saw him charge towards the enemy without fear of injury.)
He skillfully maneuvered his horse, advancing towards the enemy.
Many soldiers were repelled by the overwhelming difference in strength.
(And yet...)
No matter how skilled he is in tactics, no matter how dangerous his fighting style, Yoshitsune-sama always sticks to his principles in the end.
(I don't think Yoritomo-sama would fight so recklessly. But...)
**imperial palace flashback**
Yoritomo: I intend to guarantee your personal safety, at the very least, since I’m bringing a mere woman onto the battlefield.
Yoritomo: However, there’s no such thing as absolute safety, as you experienced in the previous battle.
Yoritomo: Even so, it is the shogunate’s decision to continue involving you in this matter.
Yoritomo: Therefore, if you choose to cooperate with us of your own volition, it would be only fair to guarantee you better treatment than before.
**end of flashback**
(The more I get to know Yoritomo-sama, the more I feel that he is a fair person, even if it's hard to understand.)
(... There are some similarities between Yoritomo-sama and Yoshitsune-sama after all.)
The fact that these two were enemies caused a sharp pain in my chest.
Yoshitsune: Yoshino? Is something wrong?
Yoshino: ...N-No, it's nothing.
I was startled to realize that I had unconsciously clenched my fingers.
Yoshitsune: I see. Then, I must be going.
(...!)
As Yoshitsune-sama turned to leave, I called out to him on impulse.
Yoshino: Wait!
Yoshitsune: What is it?
(Oh no, I just...)
I was confused, not knowing why I had called out to him.
But for some reason, I felt like I shouldn't just let him go like this.
My eyes suddenly fell on the package I was holding.
Yoshino: ...Do you dislike dango?
Yoshitsune: ...Dango?
Yoshino: I just bought it at a stall. Would you like to eat it as a thank you for helping me?
Yoshitsune: There's no need for thanks. I did it of my own accord.
Yoshino: That's not how it works. I'd feel bad if I didn't do anything...
Yoshino: Ah, perhaps you don't eat dango? Should I have bought something else?
(Was it rude to offer food from a stall in the first place...?)
Yoshitsune-sama furrowed his brow slightly, as if a little perplexed by my anxious rambling.
Yoshitsune: That's not the case, but...
Yoshino: Th... then, please.
Yoshitsune: Very well.
(Thank goodness...)
We sat side by side on the stone steps, and I quickly took out the dango.
Yoshino: Here you go.
Yoshitsune: Ah. Thank you.
Yoshitsune-sama received the dango and casually popped it into his mouth.
Yoshino: Wow... It's so chewy and delicious.
Yoshitsune: ...Indeed.
(I should buy some for Tamamo as a souvenir.)
(Ah, but he's a gourmet, so he might say, "Dango from a stall?")
Yoshitsune: ............
(Huh? ...He seems to be frozen.)
Yoshino: ...Lord Yoshitsune? Did you not like it?
Yoshitsune: The taste is fine.
Yoshitsune: ...But this dango is quite chewy and a bit of a struggle.
Yoshitsune: It's difficult to time the chewing.
(Eh?)
Yoshino: Does that mean you don't like chewy things?
Yoshitsune: It seems so. It makes me sleepy while eating.
(Yet another unexpected side of him...)
(The difference between his appearance and his demeanor on the battlefield is truly extreme!)
Yoshino: I'm sorry, I didn't know... I should have gotten something else.
Yoshitsune: It's alright.
Yoshitsune: Your gratitude has been conveyed sufficiently.
Yoshino: Yoshitsune-sama...
(He really is... a sincere person through and through.)
--CHOICES--
You're so kind
Thank you
I'll choose something different next time
--------------
Yoshino: You're kind.
Yoshitsune: I merely stated the obvious.
Yoshitsune: But if that's how you see it, then so be it.
Having finished the dango, Yoshitsune-sama mutters to himself.
Yoshitsune: ...What a pleasant breeze.
The leaves rustle in the night wind, creating a soothing sound.
As I listen to the sound of the leaves and look up at the night sky, I see a pale moon floating.
Yoshitsune: The moon is beautiful tonight.
Yoshitsune: The moon seen in Hiraizumi is no different in beauty from the moon seen in Kamakura.
(Speaking of which...)
Yoshitsune-sama's words remind me of our first encounter.
Yoshino: You said you came to Kamakura alone, didn't you, Yoshitsune-sama?
Yoshitsune: If Benkei-san knew, he would nag me endlessly.
(Benkei-san... is that the scary-looking guy?)
(He's surprisingly overprotective...)
Yoshino: Why did you come all the way to Kamakura?
Yoshitsune: Well...
Yoshitsune-sama's eyes seemed to darken in the night.
A brief silence filled the air as I held my breath, and then a low voice echoed in the wind.
Yoshitsune: I wanted to see the town I would eventually destroy one last time before the battle.
(The last time...?)
Yoshino: Have you been to Kamakura before?
Yoshitsune: I stayed here when I was under Yoritomo-sama.
Yoshitsune: I was quite fond of Kamakura, but...
Yoshitsune: Shortly after the war with the Heike, I was exiled by Yoritomo-sama.
Yoshino: That's terrible...
(To think that it was his own brother who exiled him...)
Yoshitsune: That's why I came here to burn this last image into my memory.
Yoshitsune: ...The town and its people. They haven't changed from my memories.
Various emotions cast fleeting shadows on his sculpted, white profile.
Only he could know what those feelings were.
(But... I feel like I've touched Yoshitsune-sama's heart a little.)
We both fell silent, lost in our own thoughts, when––
???: Hey, hey...
(A child's voice...?)
A small boy emerged from the trees.
Boy: ...Oh man, he's not here either.
Yoshino: What's wrong? Are you looking for someone?
Boy: Ah, there are people here!
The boy notices us and approaches.
Boy: Have you seen my little brother? He's wearing a blue kimono...
Yoshino: No, I haven't seen him.
Boy: I see...
Yoshitsune-sama suddenly speaks to the dejected boy.
Yoshitsune: Did you get separated?
The boy flinches at the quiet question, then nods timidly.
Boy: Yeah... We had a fight, and he ran off.
Yoshino: Oh dear, that's worrying.
(With so many people in town, it must be hard to find someone once you're separated...)
Boy: It was his fault to begin with. But maybe I got too angry...
Boy: ...I looked everywhere, but I couldn't find him.
The boy clenches his small hands and tears well up in his eyes.
Boy: He must hate me now...
(Ah... It's easy to feel insecure after a fight.)
Yoshino: It's alright––
As I start to speak--
Yoshitsune: There's no brother who can easily hate his older brother.
(Yoshitsune-sama...?)
Yoshitsune-sama's words made the boy blink.
Boy: Really...?
Yoshitsune: Yes.
Yoshitsune-sama gently placed his hand on the boy's head.
Yoshitsune: But it's better to get along from now on.
Yoshitsune: ––Because people can't always walk the same path forever.
(Ah...)
Yoshitsune-sama's profile, illuminated by the moonlight, floated whitely in the darkness.
(I've never seen anyone with such a sad face.)
Even though his expression shouldn't have changed...
My heart tightened at the emotions quietly swirling in his eyes.
(Why does he look like that?)
I was incredibly curious, but...
(...I need to think about this child right now.)
I met the boy's eyes and spoke to him gently.
Yoshino: If you'd like, I can help you look for him.
Boy: Really?
Yoshino: Of course!
Yoshitsune: Then I shall join the search as well.
Yoshino: Really!?
Boy: Th-Thank you, big brother, big sister!
(But...)
I whispered to Yoshitsune-sama.
Yoshino: Is it alright? What if someone sees your face?
Yoshitsune: No one would think I'd be attending a festival with women and children.
Yoshino: Ah, that's true...
Yoshitsune: Besides, if need be, I can carve a path for myself even if I become a fugitive.
(He's that confident in his abilities.)
Yoshino: ...I understand. If you say so.
Yoshitsune-sama nodded once and looked around.
Yoshitsune: We haven't seen your brother since we've been here. Let's go out into the town.
Yoshino: Yes, he might be wandering around, drawn by the festival sounds.
I held out my hand to the boy.
Yoshino: Let's hold hands so we don't get separated, okay?
Boy: Okay!
The boy smiled brightly and took my hand.
Then, he boldly reached out his other hand to Yoshitsune-sama.
Boy: Here, big brother!
Yoshitsune: .....
(Wow...)
Yoshino: Um, this person... well, he's not the type to do that sort of thing...
Yoshitsune: Is this alright?
(Eh?)
Yoshitsune-sama, who had taken the boy's hand, asked flatly.
Boy: Yeah! Let's go, let's go!
Yoshino: W-Wait...!
I was pulled along by the boy, who started walking excitedly.
(...This feels strange. How do we look to others?)
(We certainly don't look like a family.)
Perhaps because the festival music was getting closer, I felt strangely restless.
(I wonder what Yoshitsune-sama is thinking?)
I glanced at his white profile, but as usual, I couldn't read his expression.
-
The town was even more crowded than before.
Yoshitsune: He doesn't seem to be here... Let's try looking over there.
Yoshino: Yes.
(I hope we find him soon...)
Boy: ...Ah!
Yoshitsune: What is it?

Part 2 of the Ayakashi Romance Reborn piece!
Tumblr media
Koga:
Koga takes most things in stride— that said, even he was deeply unnerved to open his eyes and find himself standing in the middle of the street. Crowds of people on both sides are shouting, waving at him, urging him to move; he only gets a moment to glance around and recognize a piece of machinery racing straight towards him. Then something latches on to the back of his shirt and yanks, almost pulling him off his feet, but at least getting him out of the road. It’s you— your face is bright red and you’re lecturing him in such a shrill voice that he barely understands a word out of your mouth, but it’s you, and warmth fills his chest. Then he cracks a smile, one that disarms you— is this what it’s like to be on the receiving end of his frustrated brotherly advice?
It’s only after you get Koga home, settled onto your couch and holding a mug of some drink he can’t name, that the two of you begin to process the current situation. He seems unperturbed at being in your world— yes, it’s full of things he doesn’t understand yet, but you’re there too and that’s all he needs. It’s comforting to watch you flit around the kitchen, flustered at suddenly having to cook for two; when you accidentally brush your fingertips across the hot stovetop and hiss in pain, Koga is quick to gently take your hand in his and ask where you keep the bandages. At least those haven’t changed much across the centuries.
No matter how close you think you are, Koga has always tried to do everything himself. Even now, completely displaced from his own home, he doesn’t want to burden you— he has a life he needs to return to. Someone he needs to protect. But he doesn’t want to leave you here alone either. You eventually notice Koga borrowing your phone more often, tapping away at the internet like the old man he is, accidentally downloading every app that has ads pop up; you figure it’s better to introduce him to the computer instead, but he’s just as bad with that. When you ask what he’s been reading for hours on end, he’s quick to close the tab and smile up at you— the answer he gives is always just recipes, and you’re inclined to believe that’s true. He cooks for you now, and cleans on your home while you’re at work, and when he thinks you won’t notice, he’s looking for a way to go home.
Kagemaru:
Under most circumstances, waking up in bed with you would be a very good morning. The main problem is— this definitely isn’t the same room he fell asleep in. When he stretches his hands out through the unfamiliar sheets,  you’re not there either. Kagemaru leaps out of bed and stumbles for the door, frantic to get out— until you appear in the doorway, clearly summoned by the sounds of struggle coming from your bedroom. The epitome of beauty, tangled up in your blankets and laying on the bedroom floor; Kagemaru’s face goes blank and then he’s yelling at you to get out and leave him alone.
Kagemaru has always been arrogant and held himself far above you. That makes adapting difficult; since he appeared without warning, and shows no signs of being spirited back to his time, you want him to at least be comfortable in your small home. But no matter how often you change your bedsheets for him, they’re never made of silk; no matter what beauty products you bring home from the store, they’re never expensive enough. You’re trying your best, but it’s draining.
One night, though, you snap back at him. He’s effectively a stranger in your home— you’ve provided far more than he deserves, with that sour attitude of his, and if he refuses to shape up then you’ll do nothing more for him. Kagemaru’s mouth slams shut before he can argue, splotches of red burning through the cover of his makeup— but from that fight onwards, he was at least more quiet. He didn’t complain when dinner was cheap, and sometimes you’d even catch him washing the dishes for you. He was always quick to huff and walk away, but clearly you’ve gotten through to him somehow— if he’s going to be here for awhile, there’s no point in making your life that much harder.

06/09 (Liam and Kurama)
This is probably the strangest combination I can imagine.
But the fact is they have the same date of birth. For those of you who don't know who I'm talking about, I'll show you the pictures.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kurama on the left (black-tits demon I mentioned earlier in my unique summary for the prologue to Genjiden) and Liam on the right (sweet kitten from Villains).
So… it sounds silly, but if the devs have given them the same date of birth, they must have something in common. To my shame, I don't know much about Kurama (I still haven't reached to his route)… so… I can't say for sure. But despite that, I feel like I HAVE TO find something. It's my mission… for today.
A terrible childhood. Obviously. They're both from the Ikemen world, so they were destined to get it.
Psychological trauma… and again… that's the same Ikemen world so this is something that unites all boys in one way or another.
What can I say that makes only these two alike?…
Sometimes they act like children. Kurama only does what he likes, and Liam is hyperactive, like a kid…
Tumblr media
That's true though. I didn't made up, you know.
And... that's all? No... it can't be...
...
...
It would be much easier to find something in common between Kurama and Alfons or Silvio. Why didn't the devs give them the same date of birth? I don't get it…
Okay. Pull yourself together. You can do it!!!
(sharp exhale)
...
...
I may be wrong (I don't know much about Kurama), but I have a feeling that they are both very lonely. Kurama, due the fact of being a ayakashi, cannot afford to get too attached to people who will die very soon (ayakashi live very long). And he doesn't have the opportunity to communicate much with other ayakashi.
Liam… who seems to be on good terms with everyone, never really with them. I don't wanna spoil for those of you who haven't read his route. So let's say he's just playing the role he thinks others expect from him.
I feel bad for the both of them actually.
Another thing that I really like is their design. Really. They're gorgeous. Starting from clothes (we don't talk about black tits though), color scheme and hairstyles and ending with facial expressions. And these are my favorites. Probably because they don't conform to their usual behavior.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A cutely sad expression on Kurama's usually grumpy face and a very sad look on Liam's usually smiling face.
Oh, I just noticed they both have black necklaces. So… Maybe they have something in common… I just need to dig deeper. Clavis, I need to borrow your shovel!!!

Yandere Fujisaki/Father with Reincarnated Reader
Tumblr media
NORAGAMI OBSESSSSIOOONNN 😜😜😜
This has been sitting in my drafts for a minute but UGH I CANT GET THIS OUT OF MY MINDD
I’m feeding what’s left of the fandom😔💔
Tumblr media
I don’t write a lot of yandere stuff on here. maybe occasionally I’ll write something but it’s hard to characterize characters with darker intentions
NOT WITH FUJISAKI/FATHER THOUGHH
He would make such a perfect yandere ESPECIALLY if we put in a reincarnated reader
For the sake of making things easier, imma refer to this dude as Father
Father had to have known you when he was once alive, before his death, to be attached to you
Whether you both shared a romantic or platonic relationship, his obsession with you is the same
Controlling and suffocating
Before his death, you guys traveled together
You’ve accompanied him wherever he went, always having that perfect smile on your face if yall ever faced a problem
He appreciated your positive attitude, seeing as he had a more nihilistic approach on most things
You accepted his views of the gods above, even if you didn’t quite share the same feelings
You fully believed things happened for a reason, even if they aren't ideal
He’d be extremely protective of you and would often shelter you from others as he believed you were a bit naive
He made it known that he didn’t like it when you spoke to people of the new village you arrived in
Besides himself and Kaya, who had saved you both from the nearby river, you wouldn’t get much interactions from others
To keep him placate, you would more often than not keep quietly to his side
Father cared deeply for both you and Kaya, enjoying the time you all spent together scouting for food
Everything had been fine for many months
That is until yours and Kaya’s untimely demises. Everything goes downhill from there
For centuries, he’d hold onto the memories and grudge your death had left behind
I think this would be when his more darker side comes out, that even after death, he holds you on such a high pedestal
Father would tell stories of you to both Mizuchi/Nora and Yato. They both knew to never interrupt him when he spoke of you, lest they wanted to feel his wrath
They both knew that even long after your death, he still searched the entire country for you
So imagine Father's shock when he sees your sweet face one sunny afternoon
He'd be coming back from school as Fujisaki had to attend, but would only stare starstruck at you from across the street
You had sat on bench looking over your notes from your classes and failed to realize the stare burning onto you
Consider your fate sealed after this honestly
He'd slowly yet surely integrate himself in your life, whether you wanted him to or not
You don't have a say anymore, not after you left him for so long
With no hesitation, he would drag you into the spirit world
You would have the sight to see beyond regular humans, to see the ayakashi hidden from human eyes
It terrifies you, especially because you cannot defend yourself against these monster
Which is why Father RELISHES whenever you beg him to protect you from the corrupted souls
He actually uses this against you whenever he can, if your disobeying him or if you're fighting back too much for his liking
Since you want to leave so bad, go ahead. He won't stop you. Let's see how far you can get though. After all, you're just a mortal on the verge of death without him
You'll die if he isn't around to protect you. He makes that known whenever you have to be without him.
Father would send Mizuchi to look after you whenever he can't
She follows whatever Father says, even scaring you a bit whenever he feels as if you're getting too confident
She pretends to be your friend, but I think reader is smart enough to know she'll always be on Fujisaki's side
Mizuchi enjoys unsettling you, always appearing from the darkness and whispering in your ear
She doesn't understand what her father sees in you, but if you're important to him she'll accept it, for now
After all, she does get quite jealous whenever Father's attention strays from her
He is honestly so cruel to reader im so sorry
He spends hours breaking you down trying to get you to remember your past
To remember everything he does
He will not accept the fact that you're a different person now. You are still the same from when he remembered you, and if he has to train you to behave the way you did before, then so be it
I feel like your only saving grace MIGHT be Yato or if you were a devoted follower to a God before being taken by Father
Yato might help you, just a little bit, but he won't outright help you escape
Unless you request his service to do so, then he's obligated to help you as a delivery god
But he doesn't enjoy messing around with anything regarding his father
He keeps his distance but pities you
If you were a devoted follower of a god though, you might have some 'angels' looking over you
Perhaps this god felt a looming sense of danger hovering near you and decided to take pity on you
You would be blessed with a protective item, maybe a necklace or a bracelet! The protective blessing put on the item you wear will protect you from any physical harm, it's honestly the best thing you could have at this point
It's your last hope to have faith and to stay strong
To not let this man crazed by time destroy and ruin you
Father enjoys seeing how you still have some fight left in you
He admires it dearly as it reminds him of the past
You may try as much as you want though, you're not going to be escaping him anytime soon
He'll make you remember him one way or another
OMG
He would TOTALLY take you with him whenever doing some dangerous shit
Like if Yato was planning on hunting him down, boom
You'd be there as a human shield for Father
Father knows Yato would never hurt an innocent human like you and uses it to his advantage to make dramatic getaways
