you know, what gets me about OoTP is that sirius decided to do the whole ‘don’t you have questions harry. shame.’ routine in PUBLIC. in front of everyone. he could’ve very, very easily done it in private, just taken harry aside for a minute and info-dumped but he didn’t.

and that’s honestly such an important part, i think.

like, for one, he sincerely thinks harry should be getting this information at the same time as everyone else, in the same method. it’s not something that’s meant to be hidden and whispered. he is essentially establishing that harry has a right to this knowledge. that’s something no else has done. even when dumbledore tells harry something, he doesn’t do it because harry should know, he does it bc harry needs to know, at that time.

i also think, another part is bc sirius realises that the kids are involved in this together. he saw the golden trio dynamics upfront in the shack, he knows these kids have his kid’s back and they will either find out from harry and/or they’re in as much danger (virtue of identity, proximity, and curiosity) and therefore must know as well. he can’t force the weasley parents to tell their kids, but he can put them in a position where they might just have to. (low level rebellion incitement lessgooo)

If there is one trait I have lots of fun writing in Teruki, it's "avoidant".

Sure, this characteristic may not look obvious on him, even less with his extroverted behavior, but it's important to acknowledge that Teruki operates through personas. As Mob disclosed in the Black Vinegar Arc, the reason Teruki acted like he did was that he was too scared to acknowledge how he was nothing without his powers. Teru's perfect grades made him feel empty. Teru dated girls he didn't care about. Teru played with meaningless violence for the high of feeling unbeatable. At its core, the entire point of his Main Character mask was distracting himself. Teruki wasn't even happy doing that! He just wanted something to stop him from thinking too much, because if he did, he'd eventually drown in the realization that his life was awful!

And its not like meeting Mob freed him from this habit: Teruki simply changed the lens he blurred the world through. You guys don't understand, he isn't an excruciatingly lonely child of neglect with a target on his head. He is... uh, the Rival! A cool one! Yes! And Kageyama is the Main Character. His life isn't bad. This is just how the story goes. He doesn't have to think about it.

Teru doesn't need to think about the things that upset him. If he's good enough, the bad feelings will just cease to exist. There's no use in ruminating. He's doing okay.

His confidence to express his emotions and opinions makes others thinks he lets all of these exist. That's a mistake. Only the acceptable ones pass through. If a thought upsets him too much, not even Teruki is allowed to be aware of it.

The thing about Buck's previous relationships and how they ended is that they involved a conflict about who they were or what they wanted (or didn't), it was a manifestation of a fundamental incompatibility.

With Abby, Buck learned/admitted that he wanted a serious, long-term relationship, and Abby started to acknowledge her own needs and wants after having spent so much time taking care of her mother... but those needs and wants took her away from Buck. After the breakup, he learned not to chase after someone who doesn't want him (and Abby got her happy ending).

With Ali, his accident and convalescence made her realize she couldn't deal with his job... while it underlined how important it was to him.

Taylor and Buck made good friends, good partners-in-crime, but they learned they didn't make good life partners because they had different priorities. Buck broke up with her instead of trying again because he realized that. Taylor too got her happy ending (we saw her promote her book about the 118).

Natalia, no matter what she was conceived as, ended up being kind of like Ali, only instead of fearing Buck's dangerous job it was his main attraction for her.

But now, with Tommy, there's no real conflict in their break up: they both want long-term with each other, they're both thinking about being each other's last! The stick in the wheels here is fear and miscommunication, and it's far from a clean break on both sides (they're both shown wanting to reach out).

Obviously they (or at least Buck) are meant to recover from this, even the interviews directly alluded to Buck needing to figure himself out and the like. So if what caused the issue is worked on/improved/talked through... wouldn't that draw them closer?
