The fact that his right hand (trigger hand) is the one shaking
I bet you anything that we’re going to see a moment where Crosshair is armed again and has a moment of hesitation before shooting
He might miss too

How the First Two Episodes of Season Two Might Foreshadow Tech’s Survival
I’m probably retreading a lot of old ground that I and numerous others have already covered, but I can’t help but keep coming back to details in both “The Ruins of War” and “The Spoils of War” that seem an awful lot like foreshadowing. I’ve decided to gather them into a single post for convenience and further discussion. Anyways, on to the examples.
1. It’s Raining Tech: An interesting parallel between the beginning and end of the second season is the fact that Tech falls from a great height twice: escaping from the Imperial ship in a cargo container and falling from the tram in Plan 99. Tech’s first fall has a resolution in Season 2 (he survived, but sustained injuries) but his second one is more ambiguous since we don’t see him actually hit the ground and the only “proof” of his “death” is his battered goggles. This parallel seems intentional, and having Tech survive his second fall with injuries like he did his first one would be an effective callback to the beginning of Season 2. As George Lucas once said, “it’s like poetry — it rhymes”.
2. Badly Injured Man Not Done Partying Yet: Tech fractures his femur during his fall/crash landing in that cargo container full of treasure, but is still able to fight to save Omega in spite having an injury that should logically make this impossible. Tech’s feat of incredible pain tolerance serves not only as characterization that shows us how much he values his family, but also as an indication that he’s durable and determined to a superhuman degree. If he is supposed to survive the Plan 99 fall, then highlighting Tech’s durability early on makes a ton of sense.
3. Now You See Him, Now You Don’t: One scene that sticks out to me is the one where Tech and an Imperial clone vanish behind a tree, blaster shots are heard, and Tech crawls out as the only survivor. For a moment, it doesn’t look good for Tech, and we genuinely have no idea if he survives. In spite of the initial ambiguity and the fact that his leg injury tips the odds out of his favor, he still ends up being the one to come out from behind the tree. Tech’s Plan 99 fall was pretty ambiguous, too, and revealing him to be alive is Season 3 would echo this little moment behind the tree.
4. I’m a Survivor, Keep on Survivin’: Over the course of these episodes, Tech befriends an older gentleman named Romar. At the end of “The Ruins if War”, as Tech prepares to leave, he asks Romar if he will be okay. Romar then tells Tech that he’s a “survivor”, and the camera lingers on Tech for a bit, visually establishing him as a survivor, too. This moment felt very intentional and I wouldn’t be shocked if Tech quotes Romar in Season 3 if I’m right about him surviving.
That’s all that I can remember at the moment. Let me know if you noticed anything in these two episodes.

Bad batch speculation under the cut:
I think Omega’s hair is wet in this shot (I promise this is going somewhere).
Tumblr media
Okay, to be fair, it’s a little hard to tell. Her hair has grown a little bit probably two or three inches at least, and seems to be long enough that she can tie it back, or at least tie the back part of it back. We haven’t really seen this hairstyle yet so we don’t know what it looks like normally, but Omega’s hair does have a little bit of a wave to it, especially on the ends. (It should be curly, but that’s another issue). Here, though, it’s completely flat and hanging down, which is usually what the rigging/animation team does to signal that her hair’s wet. Here’s Omega normally and after she got dunked in a cave:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again, hard to tell, buuut I think it’s a possibility in that first shot.
Of course, we don’t know when that shot takes place. Omega’s still in her Tantiss outfit, so it’s probably during or right after the escape. And if her hair is wet, and if this is during the escape, then maybe part of the escape is going to be breaking out of a tube. Or breaking someone else out of a tube.
The main reason I bring this up is because I just rewatched “Bounty Lost” the other night. In it, we have that scene with Omega, Fennec, and the abandoned tube experiments, and then Omega specifically mentioning that ending up as an experiment in a tube as something she’s afraid of. It’s not unreasonable to think that back and have that fear realized. Which means we could see Omega in one of those experiment tubes at one point; and, if Crosshair’s there when it starts happening, that could be the thing that pushes him to want to break out. He won’t try to escape for his own sake, but he’ll probably try for Omega’s.
And, because I’m clearly overthinking this two seconds of footage, non-experiment-in-a-tube-angst options for why Omega’s hair could be wet here include, but are not limited to:
1. Omega and Crosshair smash a bunch of equipment as a distraction on their way out, and some of the equipment had water or bacta in it, so they got wet.
2. They triggered some fire sprinklers on the way out.
3. Omega breaks someone else—maybe Crosshair—out of a tube.
And, the most likely:
4. It was raining on the platform when they escaped.

Watch Mount Tantiss be on a planet that had shown up in a previous Star wars piece of media and was either not a big deal of a planet at the time or a really big deal in whatever media it was in

“Studies The Bad Batch” can mean a couple of things.
1. He is looking through Kaminoan records about them in addition to studying Crosshair, Omega and possibly Tech if he is alive and in his clutches.
2. In addition to the above, Hemlock will manage to capture the rest of the guys in Season 3.
I get a sense that Season 3 is going to take a distinctly biopunk turn and I am here for it.

(taken from here. click it to view a bigger image cause it's a LOT)
there's SO much to absorb here but uhhhhh
biggest reveals for me include learning Rampart's first name (EDMON ROFL), the name of the trooper we saw in Kenobi (Hobo Clone is officially Nax! and he was part of the attack on Umbara!!), and the biggest one for me, HEMLOCK
not trying to toot my own horn, but it's REALLY starting to look like my theory about the Bad Batch being the template for the future Death Troopers is more and more legit y'all 👀

A Bad Batch Theory
Tumblr media
I raised this question on Instagram, because truly it made me think.
Technically, we don’t know how he got his scar— a lot of us just speculate that it was an explosive incident and/or a deadly hit from a more powerful kind of droid (Droidekas, BX commandos, a tank for all we know)
I personally subscribe to an explosives incident whether intentional or non, idk if it’s canon by any means. It’s like Cody, no one knows where Cody got his scar. Or Howzer. It’s kinda irrelevant but like scar stories… like Wolffe’s happened due to Ventress. Thats a cool story.

Oh, those could maybe be the spires in Batuu. The fun thing about those is that they’re meant to be the trunks of giant petrified/fossilized trees (which isn’t really relevant, but it makes them look cool). And the other rock formations do look a little like the buttes you see as you fly out of the outpost on the millennium falcon. Maybe!
And oh gosh I need the Durands to be involved. I want to see Isa Durand. I want to know if Roland quit the family business and followed his dreams of becoming a vet tech. (I’m kind of joking about the last part, but I really did get the sense that Roland wasn’t super into the mob boss thing.)
Tumblr media
Continuing to try and identify places in the trailer, and do these mountains look like Batuu's spires to anyone else?
Tumblr media
If so, then we're going to be going to a world oriented around smuggling which is perfect for people on the run, bounty hunters, (and maybe a crime family? I JUST REALLY WANT ROLAND TO COME BACK OKAY I LIKED HIM AND THOUGHT THAT SET UP SOMETHING INTERESTING)

A couple of season three thoughts:
1. We don’t actually know what being clone x’d means. We talk about it as though a clone is completely wiped clean, total mind reset, but the Clone x we met in season two wasn’t really a blank cypher. He was more of a zealot. He had a personality, in fact he had a very strong personality, it was just a terrifying one, and the way he talks about being “elevated” a “believer” makes him seem a lot less like a drone and more like a fanatic. I think what’s happening is another step or two in chip augmentation beyond what we saw happen with Crosshair, so it goes beyond blind obedience and right into almost religious devotion. It’d mean the clone underneath is still there, but twisted around the programming in a terrifying way. I hope our boys find a way to help the X’d clones.
2. I still kind of want the new doggo to be what Rubies look like when they grow up. Partly because I really want to see the Durands come back.
3. One Tech lives possibility that we ought to consider is Tech coming back with a TBI. Aphasia, memory loss, Tech having to re-learn certain motor skills or even how to fly—that could happen. And it could happen through a weird Star Wars lens, of course, but it could happen. It could also be very interesting to watch. And if I see anyone saying that it would have been better if Tech had died if he does come back with a TBI (or a Star Wars metaphor for TBI) then I swear to God that it is ON SIGHT.
4. Angsty possibility: Omega hits a point in Tantiss when she does lose hope, and that’s what pushes Crosshair to start trying to help her with the escape. Not because he has any hope, but because he can’t stand to see her like that.
5. I still think Omega and Crosshair escape Tantiss as early as episode two, mmmaaaaaybe episode one, and that they get separated so that Crosshair reunites with at least Hunter and Wrecker (and Echo if Echo’s not off doing secret things) well before Omega does, but I also: one, hope that we get at least one episode of Omega and Crosshair free, together, and just trying to survive, and; two, I don’t think Omega’s going back to Tantiss after that. I think she gets caught and that she and Crosshair get separated, but I also think that we’re not going back to Tantiss again until the end of the season after the first few episodes, and that when the team does go back, it’ll be as a whole team, and it won’t necessarily be to rescue Omega.
6. The moment Crosshair finds out that the boys kept his armor is going to kill me. You know they could have sold it. They’ve been broke and struggling enough the whole show to have had justification in doing so, but they didn’t.
7. I kind of want to see an episode where everyone’s separated. No two or three together, everyone just on their own.
8. They’ve been dragging AZ around for two seasons. I mean, not literally, they left him on Kamino and then on Ord Mantell, but they’ve kept that little medical droid around on the show and made him accessible to the gang, and I would like to know why. Chekov’s AZ
9. Also chekov’s zillo beast, chekov’s Romar’s last words to Omega, etc.
10. I’m. Very excited for Hunter this season.

(Not sure if this idea has been floated already, I'm relatively new to tumblr)
I'm convinced the finale is going to have plenty of callbacks to the Bad Batch's intro story in TCW (I mean, we've already gotten a few callbacks).
So...
Since Tech was the one who directly helped Rex find and retrieve Echo, and then carried Echo through the shafts...
Tumblr media
What if Echo is the one to find Tech and carry him out of Tantiss???
