⤻ thinking about . . .
BAKUGOU watching you from his peripheral as you finish reapplying your strawberry pink colored lip gloss. once finished, you smack your lips together with a resounding 'pop' that makes him turn to face you. feeling his eyes on you, you turn your head to meet his gaze but he isn't looking at you so much as he is staring straight at your newly pink glossed lips. bakugou loves when you wear pretty girly lip glosses that just makes your lips look so delectable.
"what is it?" you ask, bringing your hand up to the corner of your mouth. "is it on my face?"
his eyes flicker up to yours for a second before he relaxes back on your bed. "no."
you move to appear above his face. "so what's up then? why you staring, freak?"
bakugou doesn't register what you just said, too busy admiring the way you pull your lips into a glossy pout. all he can think of his how pretty the sight above him is and it takes everything in him to not pull you onto him to kiss your freshly applied lip gloss off. but he knows you hate when he does that, saying that it's a waste because you spend your money on your lip products. your words finally register and he sits up, scowling. "what'd you say, dumbass?"
you grab your gloss and wave it in front of him, smiling cheekily. "you want to try it?"
"i am not putting your lip gloss on," grunts bakugou.
"why not? it's electric bubblegum blush flavoured! and you would look so very pretty."
"that is not a flavour," he deadpans.
"sure it is, want proof?" bakugou thinks about tasting your lip gloss on his tongue and because of your teasing it's all he can think about doing. who cares if you hate when he 'wastes' your make up? he'll just buy you another one.
when you begin to unscrew your lip gloss he moves and grabs your face, suddenly pulling your lips to his. he kisses you roughly and you immediately melt into his kiss, moving your mouth against his. you feel your lip gloss rubbing off and bakugou pulls away, running his tongue over his bottom lip.
"tastes like candy."

Pairing: Katsuki Bakugo x Y/N
Warnings: angst with kind of fluff at the end, no smut, Katsuki is a hero and Y/N is a villain, Y/N is dead, prob spelling and grammar mistakes just ignore them, threats, bakugo is a crybaby.
Summary: Katsuki hates everyone but the hatred he has for you is no comparison to others. Or at least he thought so but your sudden death makes him see things differently.
Tumblr media
The blonde hero fell to his knees as he watched the scene unravel in frond of him. The battle was finally over. The war was over. The rain washed your blood-covered body as it laid dead on the cold stoned street. Above you, the green-haired hero was standing with blood all over his body. His eyes turned to look at his friend, kneeled on the ground, trying to catch his breath as the sensation of safety finally came back to the city. You, the great villain mastermind, were finally dead on the ground. The city was finally safe again.
Red eyes locked on your figure, trying to comprehend that they won the battle. Katsuki’s head fell back, letting the rain touch his tired face as he waited for the pro heroes to arrive. Izuku’s eyes were back on your dead figure. With his one knee on the ground, he lowered his body and with his hand he slowly turned your head to the side where katsuki was kneeling. The red eyes of the blond hero find your lifeless ones, bringing a weird feeling to his stomach.
Bakugo watched as the pro heroes and rescuers searched for victims and wounded citizens, feeling completely empty. Katsuki’s tired body was hurting with even the slightest move, making it impossible for him to move and help the other heroes. His thoughts were clouded as he observed your body being moved to one of the big vans that the heroes used. The blond hero’s head fell back once again. This time his heavily wounded body followed, falling with his back on the stoned ground and loosing consciousness.
The only thing in his head was a memory of you, corned with your back to the wall and Katsuki’s hand on your neck as he swore on his life that he would be the one to take your life away. He never thought the day that he would watch you fall on the ground, could actually come.
~~~
…“Kacchan?.. are you okay?..”
…“Bakugo are you feeling good?”
…“Bakugo you’re not alright..”
…“Bakugo-kun you’ve changed..”
…“Bakugo-kun you’ve become distant..”
…“Kacchan.. you don’t talk to anyone anymore..”
As the months passed, nothing came out of their mouths except of how much the blond hero was distancing himself. They could see something was wrong but no one ever got to actually find out what was on his mind. And no one ever could.. he didn’t even know.. the only thing that felt right to him was thinking about your last moment with him. There were night when he would throw things across his room out of anger and betrayal. How dare you die on him? The sounds of glass or other materials being thrown and crashing onto his door or wall, echoed through the building. Kirishima and kaminari would check up on him through the night to make sure everything was alright.
Everyone could see that he wasn’t feeling good. Aizawa-sensei decided that it would be good for Katsuki to go on patrol one night, to feel the fresh air on his tired face. The blond hero wanted to stay on his cold and empty room once again but Aizawa didn’t gave him that option. Once the cold air hit his face, his mind started playing the memory of you falling on the cold ground with blood all over your body, like a movie scene. As he wondered around the city, he came across the place he saw you for the last time. Something like a villain attack or his sixth sense must have led him there for a second time. Or so he thought.. He never admitted that, what had led him there, was non other but his own feelings.
Red eyes staring at the barely visible blood stained tiled ground, where you laid dead in what feels like last night to him. With slow steps, he approached the red-like spot on the street, feeling the tears that were building up on his now, dark red eyes. The blond hero kneeled upon the blood covered smudge, sensing his own body start to tremble as he placed his two hands on the frond of his knees. His jaw tightened, trying to keep his mouth shut and not let the words that were screaming inside his head fall from his lips. The tears that he tried so hard to keep, finally fell on his cheeks. The unbearable pain he felt in his heart, washed over him like a flood that he could no longer keep inside of him.
“Why the hell am I hurting so much?.. it’s-.. it’s your fucking fault y/n.. you fucking promised me you wouldn’t die that easily!!..” the words fell from his lips and stabbed him straight on his heart like the sharpest swords. The numbness he usually felt inside his heart was now replaced by insufferable pain. How could he ever believe that your death would cost him so much?..
The night visits on the unpopular stained street by the blond hero were now regular. With each visit he would leave behind new tear stains and your favoured coloured flowers. Katsuki would come and “see” you with every chance given. He would tell you how his day or week went, how much stronger Izuku has become, every new move of his, every new feature on his hero costume and every now and then, how much he hated that he loved you or how much he despited that you were the only thing in his mind, in hopes you would walk out of the shadows to kick his ass for being so stupid to fall for a villain.
Five months have now passed since your death and three month of Katsuki secretly mourning and hoping this was all part of your plan. A plan where you were alive and hiding in the dark, watching the blind hero finally being honest with himself and his feelings. Katsuki was once again “talking” to you but this time, he was different. He was almost completely quiet. He just looked at the sky, his eyes filled with tears falling on each side of his beautiful and exhausted face.
“It’s been three fucking months.. fuck.. three months am standing right here, hoping you would be somewhere out there.. I’m fucking loosing my self!!.. IM LOOSING MY MIND!! Fu- fucking shit.. IM FUCK- I LOST YOU!.. WHY WOULD YOU FUCKING LEAVE ME?!.. WH-.. why?..” his voice breaking as he shouted on the now, invisible blood stain on the ground. His heart shattered as he finally started believing that you were actually dead and him thinking and waiting otherwise, would only make him worse.
“I promised, katsu..”
Everything froze. The blond hero stands still, kneeled on the ground as he heard a voice he could recognise from miles away. Your voice.
“Y/n?..” he questioned in disbelief. His body couldn’t move in fear you weren’t actually there. If he looked behind him, there was a chance he was actually loosing his mind and that would actually break him.
A warm hand on his cheek swooped away all the fear from his heart and mind. With your thumb on his chin and the palm of your hand on his tired face, you slowly turned his head to the side, letting him see that you are real. Red eyes looking up and down your figure and in a mater of seconds the blond hero, your greatest enemy, was breathily crying in your hold.
“I promised you, katsu.. I won’t die that easily..” And with that, the hero abruptly stood up from his kneeling position and circled his hands around your waist as his crying face hid on your shoulder. His hold so tight in fear you would disappear again if he let you for even a second. Your hands found place around his shoulders, holding him close and finally letting yourself melt in his arms.
He now knows, he could never live without you and you never could either.
SHACKLED HEARTS
The dim light of the moon filtered through the barred window, casting eerie shadows across the cold, damp room. You sat in the corner, knees drawn to your chest, the weight of your chains heavy on your wrists and ankles. It had been days—maybe even weeks—since Bakugo had taken you from the outside world, but the fear and confusion still gnawed at your mind.
Bakugo paced in front of you, his intense crimson eyes flickering with a mix of frustration and possessive desire. His fiery temperament was barely contained, simmering just beneath the surface. You had seen glimpses of his softer side before, but now, all you saw was the monster he had become.
"Why don't you understand?" Bakugo's voice was a harsh whisper, filled with desperation. "I did this for us! For you!"
Tears streamed down your face as you struggled to comprehend his twisted logic. "This isn't love, Katsuki. This is madness!! P-Please, j-just... just let me go."
Bakugo's expression hardened, and he knelt in front of you, grabbing your chin roughly to force you to look at him. "You think you know what's best for you? You don't! You belong to me. No one else can protect you like I can."
His grip was painful, but the raw emotion in his eyes sent chills down your spine. You could see the conflict within him, the battle between his obsessive love and the remnants of his humanity. But right now, the darkness was winning.
"You don't need anyone else," he continued, his voice cracking slightly. "I'll make sure of it. I'll keep you safe from everyone who tries to take you away."
Your sobs grew louder, your body shaking with the weight of your despair. "This isn't what I wanted, Katsuki. I wanted a future with you, but not like this. Not in chains."
Bakugo's eyes softened for a moment, and he released your chin, running a hand through his messy blonde hair. He looked torn, as if a part of him wanted to reach out and comfort you, but his obsession wouldn't let him. "I know you're scared," he said quietly, almost to himself. "But you'll see. You'll understand eventually. I just need you to trust me."
"How can I trust you when you've taken everything from me?" you whispered, your voice barely audible.
Bakugo's face twisted with pain, and he slammed his fist against the wall, causing you to flinch. "Damn it, why can't you see?! I'm doing this because I love you!! I can't lose you!"
The raw intensity in his words made your heart ache. Despite the terror and the chains, a part of you still remembered the boy who had once been your friend, your confidant, your love. But now, he was a stranger—one who had crossed the line into madness.
"Please, Katsuki," you begged, your voice breaking. "Don't do this. Let me go. W-We can find another way."
His eyes bore into yours, and for a fleeting moment, you saw a flicker of doubt. But then, just as quickly, it was gone, replaced by the unyielding resolve of a man who had convinced himself that his actions were justified.
"No," he said firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument. "You're mine, and I'm not letting you go. Not now, not ever. I can't let it happen again."
As he turned away, your heart sank, and the full weight of your situation crashed over you. You were trapped in a nightmare of his making, a twisted reflection of love that held you captive.
Bakugo walked to the door, pausing for a moment before looking back at you. "Get some rest," he said, his voice softer now. "I'll bring you something to eat later."
With that, he left the room, the heavy door closing behind him with a resounding thud. You were alone once more, your tears falling freely as the reality of your captivity settled over you. There was no escape, no way out.
You could only hope that one day, the boy you loved would find his way back to the light, and release you from the darkness that now bound your hearts together.
"Well, that was dandy"
As the night grew darker, your voice cut through the darkness that enveloped the car. The two of you start to traverse the dimly lit roads, surrounded only by the quiet hum of the engine, the occasional flicker of passing streetlights, and an unspoken tension.
"I mean, your parents were lovely to an extent..." you trailed off, a thoughtful expression crossing your face. Pouting your lip, you shifted your gaze up at the blonde. Katsuki, however, didn't even attempt to break his eyes away from the road ahead. "I understand them, though... I suppose I'm a huge adjustment for your family and everything," you continued.
"Your mom was kinda funny, actually! And do you guys always argue like that?" you let out a chuckle. Looking at the blonde, not even a twitch.
Pressing your lips into a line, you turned your head towards your window, observing the city lights streaking by in a blur. You tried your best to take some pressure off the poor guy's shoulders.
"That old lady—she's been giving me grey hairs before I even knew my times tables," Katsuki exasperates. Letting out a soft, dry chuckle, he smirks. "I know what you're trying to do, but it's not gonna work," he said, catching on to your attempt to lighten the mood.
"What she did today was uncalled for, no matter the circumstance," he continued; his body still as his voice was stern. The occurrence between you and his mother seemed to be still thick in his mind. You watched closely as his large hands held a firm grip on the steering wheel.
You roll your eyes at his response.
"Yeah. But think of the principle of it—"
"Stop…giving her excuses," his voice raised an octave. You slightly grimaced as you felt the sharp jolt of the car accelerating in speed. Blinking rapidly, you began to hold on tight to the strap of your seatbelt.
Watching the deep frown on Katsuki's face, he let out a deep breath before easing on the gas. "Let's not talk about it anymore, at least not for now."
"Agreed."
As the night unfolded, Katsuki soon brought the car to a halt in front of your apartment. The two of you sat in silence for a moment. Inhaling deeply, your eyes met with the hero's. "Well, this is me," you said shyly.
Unbuckling your seatbelt, you noticed the blonde doing the same, stepping out of the car with a certain urgency. Approaching your side of the vehicle, he swiftly opened the door for you. Gazing at him, you quietly expressed your gratitude and stepped out.
As you both walked towards your door, you began to reflect on the events of the day. Katsuki was a hundred percent right—what his mother did was wrong. You tried to divert your thoughts from the verge of tears during the drive. You successfully held back, unwilling to show vulnerability, especially to him.
Standing in front of your door, facing each other, you spoke, "See you at the office, Mr. Dynamight." You smiled, attempting to lighten the mood. "Today was fun, this little roleplay thing we did—"
"Roleplay? That's a 7-carat ring on your finger, baby. Nothin' about this is roleplay." Pointing at your hand, the blonde found amusement in your words, tilting his head to the side as a snide smirk played on his lips.
Baby? Gulp.
You froze, uncertain of how to respond.
"What, cat got your tongue?" he teased, flashing another smile. Shaking your head, you let out an exasperated chuckle. "Nonotatall." Turning your back to him, you unlocked your door and stepped inside. Facing him again, you politely bowed.
"Thank you again, Mr. Dynamight, for today—"
"It's Kat-su-ki… I thought I told you to drop that whole Mr. shtick you like to do," he said with a hint of humor. Cursing under your breath, you scratched the top of your head before responding.
"Thank you for today. Have a nice night, Katsuki." Awkwardly bowing once more, you slowly began to close your door.
Man, you're never gonna get used to saying this, are you?
"Sweet dreams, Y/n."
Turning on your heel, you closed the door quietly. With a deep sigh, you shifted your weight against the closed door. Reaching into your purse, you rummaged around before retrieving your phone. Turning it on, you mentally cursed yourself upon seeing the time.
"It's not too late at night to call…"
You reassured yourself before placing the number on speed dial. Shifting your weight from the door, you quietly set down your things. Pressing your cheek against the warm glass of your phone, you patiently waited as the phone dialed.
Collapsing onto the couch, you didn't even bother to take off your outer clothes. As the other line beeped, you began to hear a groggy voice on the other end.
"What the hell do you think you're doing calling me at this hour?"
"Oh, shut up, I'm gonna go through with the plan," you quipped back. You heard the sounds of your sister shifting in her bed before she answered once more.
"Wow, I didn't think you'd do it—no offense," she snorted. Rolling your eyes, you nestled deeper into the crevices of the couch. "Today was just too much," you sighed.
“Explain…”
“I think things are just moving too fast. I mean, I was humiliated by his mother. She thinks I’m some nymphoid looming over her son for his money!” you complained.
“…think of this as more fuel to charge for your revenge. This gives you even more reasons to fuck him over. I promise you, the look he’ll give you at the altar—“
“Please, can we just focus on the plan here,” you groaned. Your sister sighed on the other end of the phone. “What exactly am I gaining from saying no at the altar?” you questioned.
“Notoriety beyond comprehension.”
Playing with the fabric of your dress, you began to ponder.
Notoriety beyond your own comprehension?
“Think of it, all of Dynamights’ life, he’s been known to get everything he wants. He’s got the looks, the talent, the power, the girl…” she emphasized.
Your sister's words turned sour in your mouth. Biting the inside of your cheek, you continued to listen. “Imagine the day he’s finally told the word no? The outlets will go blasting instead of him.” Your sister loudly chuckled within the darkness of the night.
You dryly chuckled at her words. “Hm, I guess you’re right.” A thought soon entered your mind as you completed pondering. Eyes shooting wide, you lifted yourself from the couch.
“Imagine! All the outlets will be crawling to me to get the inside scoop on Dynamight’s life. From his work treatment to his dysfunctional family. I’d be loaded!” You laughed out loud.
“Bingo!” Your sister yelled on the other end, making you flinch away from the glowing screen. “Oh my…I thought you’d never get it,” she said.
“You’re a good-looking girl, and from what I’d also assume—a damn good actress…”
“Drain that man for everything he’s worth.”
Tumblr media
PHASE 1 ➜ EXPRESS
Dark coffee, two pumps of creamer, and a pinch of sugar. That’s what you’ve delivered to your hero in waiting over 100 times now. Some days, you’d watch the pro-hero down three to five cups of coffee a day. And you were alarmed.
“Here’s your coffee.”
Placing the warm cup on his desk, he looks up at you and gives you a small nod. No more backtalk, no more irritating quips made at your coffee-making skills. He just drinks it.
Standing in front of the pro-hero, he notices your eyes tend to linger longer than anticipated. “Is there something you need to discuss?” Dynamight deadpans.
“Not exactly…it’s more of a question per sé.” You narrow down your words as your head begins to bow before him, anxiously awaiting his permission to ask.
“And that question may be?” He asks.
“Why do you drink so much coffee?”
The expression he gives you could’ve made you sink into a hole. Breathing out, he stays still for a moment, almost looking as if he’s putting together an actual answer.
Looking back into your eyes, he answers. “It fires me up.”
That’s it?
“Oh…okay.”
Turning your back towards him, you walk back over to the corner of the office, sitting down in your designated seat. You begin to type away. A moment passes before the blonde looks up at you and speaks.
“Any more questions?” He asks.
Your brows softly lift as you tear your eyes away from your computer, setting it down on the nearby coffee table. You tilt your head.
“It’s corny but…what made you want to become a hero?” You ask. This earns an eye roll from the pro. “Because, I’m the best. I knew from a young age that I was nothin’ like anyone has ever seen. Someone had to rise to the top—and it had to be me.”
“Wow, how poetic.”
“Shut your face.”
Standing up, you gather your things before walking over and laying down some documents on his desk. “Interview in an hour, let’s go.” Your voice unwavering as you turn back and grab your coat. This newfound sense of confidence washes over you, and it kind of takes you aback.
Maybe you got too comfortable, yeah that could be it.
Too comfortable with the habits and getting to know your boss and stuff…
Or you’re comfortable knowing the fact that you’re irreplaceable…
Shaking your thoughts from your head, you grab Dynamight's coat and hand it to him. Looking at him, you show him a grin, “my next question is…any coffee to go?”
Grabbing the coat from your hands, you couldn’t help but notice his ring was missing. Of course, you couldn’t be bothered less since yours wasn’t on as well. But for some reason, it made you feel a type of way.
“Yeah.”
A cup of dark coffee, two pumps of creamer, and a pinch of sugar land into his hands merely 10 minutes later as the both of you ride in the car on your way to his interview.
Sitting there, you watch as the pro takes sips from his cup and stares out into the window. You’d always wonder what is in the deeper consciousness of heroes…
Whether it be from top secrets to silly dreams. You’d always wondered what was going on in that peanut-sized brain Dynamight has.
“What’re you thinking about?” You blurt.
“I’m thinkin’ about how tight my suit is,” the hero shifts within his seat in discomfort. You let out a chuckle before you turn to look out the window.
“How come you and Riot never do interviews together?” You mumbled, loud enough for the blonde to hear. An audible grumble is sounded from his lips.
“Because he steals all my shine.”
This makes you snort.
“Are you actually serious?” You chuckled. You watched as the blonde cursed under his lips. “Yeah, he talks too much and goes over the time limit. Which leaves me just lookin’ stupid.”
“Okay, reasonable,” you responded.
“Is this what we’re doing today? The question game?” He says with a smirk. Eyes widening a bit, you purse your lips to the side before commenting.
“Well…I’m down if you’re down.”
Dynamight leans back in his chair with a chuckle and closes his eyes. “Go ahead,” his voice was monotone and calm. It’s kinda rare to hear him so content. Before you could think you were spewing out any questions they flew into your mind.
Tumblr media
“How long have you known Red Riot?”
“Since I was 15…god, I’m old. We met during our early days at U.A., and we’ve been through a lot together. The guy's practically seen me grow into the hero I am today.”
“What does it feel like to fight villains?”
“It feels pleasurably taxing.”
“How long did it take until you were able to master your quirk?”
“Still mastering. Explosion quirks are tricky; there's always room for improvement.”
“Why are you always…mean?”
“I’d be an easier target, obviously. The world expects heroes to be virtuous, and gentle, but I've seen where that leads. The one thing everyone looks for in a hero is vulnerability, kindness, something to manipulate and take for themselves. I refuse to give them that satisfaction. Being assertive and not taking any crap is the image I've chose for myself.”
“How big is it?”
“Excuse me?”
Tumblr media
“Oh look, we’re here!” you exclaimed before abruptly opening the door. Stepping out of the car, you watched as the hero climbed out, keeping his fiery eyes on you the whole time—almost looking predatory…gulp.
Handing him some more papers, you began to go over the interview about to take place. “Today’s interview is for Pop! Magazine—“
“Fuck no,” the hero quipped, quickly turning on his heel and heading back to the car. Chasing after the hero with the click of your heels, you tightly grabbed his shockingly firm bicep.
“Please! Looking at your stats, you don’t give a lot of fan service. And this is punishment because you’re always doing interviews last minute. I could only pick out what was available that any other hero didn’t take.”
“It was either this or being interviewed by a whole bunch of kids.”
Dynamite inwardly groaned, his head hung low in defeat. Stepping towards you, he continued to walk towards the stage doors of Pop! Magazine. Letting out a sigh, you snuck your hand away from his bicep and held tight to your things.
“I swear to god, after this interview. I’m asking all the questions,” Dynamight said, loud enough for you to hear. Biting your lip, you stay quiet as you enter the stage building.
A handful of makeup artists and hairstylists swarmed to the pro-hero, leaving you in the dust. Dynamight grew more irritated by the second, giving the staff a single look before they all dispersed. As he walked onto the set, he was greeted by an overly cheery lady.
"Wow! Dynamight, it's great to finally see you in person. This is crazy; hello, I'm your interviewer, Roxie," she burst in excitement. Reaching to firmly shake his hand, he let out a hum in response. As both of them sat in front of the cameras, you quietly walked behind and looked at the sight before you.
Bright colors and pretty patterns adorned the stage. As Dynamight sat in the plush pink seat (expectantly man-spreading), he looked like he was absolutely over it. And the interview hadn't even started.
Locking eyes with the hero, you gave him a thumbs up for good luck (and partly as an apology for the purgatory he's about to be in). As the overhead lights turned on, you watched as the director began to count down and started rolling the cameras.
With a deep exhale, Roxie began to speak her intro and introduce Dynamight to the non-existent crowd. Turning towards the hero with a smile, she soon started to read from the cards held in her hand.
"So, Dynamight, how've you been?" she said cheerfully.
"M'fine, the day's just getting started over here," a tone of melancholy echoed in his voice as he looked at Roxie. "I see, the days are never over when it comes to being a pro-hero like yourself. Speaking of being a great hero, how does it feel to be second-ranked? Behind the hero Deku–“
"Excuse me," you interjected. As all eyes in the room set onto you, you looked around before adding to the conversation. "Please refrain from talking about hero rankings around Dynamight. He's not here to talk about that." You said with a sense of authority, almost proud to take up for the hero.
The interviewer looked at the hero for confirmation, and as the blonde raised his brows in response, she nodded. Looking at the cameras, Roxie's voice suddenly dropped an octave. "Cut that out, please."
Restarting her first statement, she opened the interview with a new question. "So, Dynamight… could you give us any inside scoop on what it's like being one of the highest-ranked heroes in Japan?"
"Eat, sleep, work out, patrol, fight, sleep again." Dynamight deadpanned. This earned a thin pressed line on Roxie's lips. "Sounds like a lot just for one person, eh?"
"Personally, not for me. Not a lot of people can do what I do, and that's fine," he said plainly. You mentally face-palmed at his comment. Now you understand why Kirishima did all the talking back then for interviews.
The interviewer let out an awkward chuckle before flipping to her next cue card. "So, Dynamight, you're a rare sighting for the press, so there are so many questions to ask with only a small amount of time! So let's cut to the nitty-gritty," she said with a devious smile.
"It's popularly known that you're a part of U.A's infamous class 1-A, and even almost a decade later, you and a multitude of others still climb to new heights of success!" She exclaimed.
"Yes, your point?" Dynamight retorted.
"Well," the interviewer trailed off.
"It's known that many of your comrades, especially your partner Red Riot, are married and have begun to start their own legacies… what's stopping you from doing the same?" She said.
Your eyes grew wide at the question, and you didn't know what to do in that moment. You watched as Dynamight looked you in the eyes. Frowning, you mouthed out to him.
'You don't have to answer that question.'
As his eyes focused back over to the interviewer, he began to speak. "It's hard to do those things when you're better than them." The interviewer began to laugh at his response.
"On the contrary, Dynamight, I tend to disagree…"
"And why is that?" he snapped back.
"Well, around a month ago, you were seen dating multiple women at once. People these days would say you're testing the waters? Tasting all the flavors at once?" She said with a smug smirk.
"At the end of the day, I'm a man like everyone else. Just like the man behind this shitty camera," he points. "The man over there eating all the complementary bagels," he points again. "And the man right in front of me with too much nose hair." He points directly at the interviewer with a shit-eating grin.
Gasping out loud, you smack your hand above your mouth. In a quick step, you move in front of the rolling camera. "Okay! Time to go!" You nervously chuckle, watching as Roxie throws daggers at the Pro-Hero.
"It really is true; you are an asshole."
"Maybe he wouldn't be an asshole if you didn't ask shitty questions," you spat at her. Scoffing, Roxie stands from her seat and walks up to you. But before she could even step a centimeter in your direction, your boss was three steps ahead.
"What're you gonna do? Hit her? I fuckin' dare you," he snarls with a sadistic grin. Looking down, you notice his hands begin to radiate sparks. Panicking, you tried to step in front of his muscular figure, but he wouldn't even budge.
"Is that a threat?" She says.
"It can be whatever you want it to be, just know you're going down regardless. So, like I said," he takes a step closer to her.
"Hit her and see what happens," he whispers.
You watch as the interviewer steps back and off of the stage, spewing out a million cuss words a second. Swallowing your spit, you walk off as well. With no words spoken, the blonde follows suit. Showing off a friendly goodbye (he throws back the middle finger), the both of you are back in the car and on your way back to the agency.
Tumblr media
Entering back into the office, you look at the clock and let out a sigh. "Well, this is where the fun ends," you say, starting to gather your things and head towards the door. But Dynamight stops you.
"Hey, don't leave without me."
Turning around, you look confused. "Why?" you ask, and the blonde rolls his eyes as he grabs his coat. "Because I'm taking you out," he says. Pouting your lips, you become puzzled by his statement.
"I don't get it."
The blonde stops in his tracks and looks you in the eyes. "Remember, I'm asking the questions now." Dynamight takes your stuff from your hands and heads for the door.
As both of you head down to the parking lot and settle into his car, the blonde begins to speak. "Gotta question for ya," he mumbles. You hum in response before watching the blonde ponder his thoughts.
"Why did you take up for me today? Y'know I'm fully capable of taking care of myself, right?" He dryly chuckles. Looking out into the distance, you mentally cringe, reflecting on the events that happened today.
"Well, I did it because, believe it or not, the both of us have a reputation to uphold. And secondly, she was a bitch." You say flatly. The blonde nods at your answer before asking another question.
"Why do you always act the way you act?"
You suddenly face him, surprised. "What do you mean? How do I act?" you say, sounding hyperaware. This makes him smirk, "you know, whenever I'm around you, you always act as if it's your first day here."
"I do that?"
"Constantly."
"Oh…"
Soon riding through the city, Katsuki reaches your apartment—
"Hey, my place is right there!" you shout. "Nah, I told you we're going out—"
"But people will see us!" you shout worriedly. Katsuki holds his head down for a couple of seconds before he sets his eyes back on the road. "Listen woman, if you haven't noticed by now, I really don't give a fuck," he curses. Blinking at him, you curse under your breath, "okay sure, but, you don't even have a change of clothes."
The blonde only changed his shirt to a regular black t-shirt and keeps his hero suit pants on with a pair of sneakers. "So? You're saying that as if the fashion police are running rampant in the city," he turns his face upward at you.
"Well, you may not care, but I care. I look crazy." You suddenly grew self-conscious as you began to look at your outfit. Hair a bit disheveled and clothes wrinkled, you didn't look your best. Katsuki rolls his eyes as he shared a quick glance at your figure.
"First off, you look fine."
Suddenly, the car comes to a strong stop. Causing the both of you to jerk. Unfazed by his actions, Katsuki soon places the car in park and looks into your eyes. "Secondly, you were proposed to in that outfit, take that information however you please."
Finishing his sentence, he steps out of the car swiftly and walks over to open your door. Stepping out of the vehicle, you didn't recognize the area. Even though you were near your place, you never took the time to actually go outside and experience the area, kinda sad.
It's just always, work, work, work.
"Where are we?" you asked.
"Nowhere really, we're going on a walk." Katsuki then extends his arm toward you. With a hesitant reach, you slowly loop your arm around his and begin to walk. The feeling felt so surreal in that moment.
You, walking in the middle of some random back alley with a pro-hero? The second-best-ranked hero in all of Japan, by the way. You bit the inside of your cheek as you continued to take another step in front of the other.
"So, what's your favorite color?" he asks.
Halting in your steps, you look at Katsuki with a deadpan expression. You suddenly crack a smile, "are you serious?" you chuckled. "Better safe than sorry…" the blonde trails off.
"It's (favorite color), I don't know if you notice, but pretty much over 80 percent of the things in my place are that color," you chuckled. Katsuki nods at your answer before he continues on to the next question.
"Hobbies?"
'well…'
Later into the evening, things went very smoothly as the both of you began to chatter and walk aimlessly through the parks of your town.
The both of you got to know one another, as Katsuki told you an embarrassing moment about him as a child which led to you giving some back in return.
"It's weird—talking to you like this, it almost feels weird." You chuckled out, Katsuki looks slightly confused at your words. "Why would it be weird?" he says.
"Because you're my boss at one moment, and yet you're also my fiancé. It's easy to distinguish the two, but this feels different." You say, thinking in your mind for a possible hypothesis for the way you're feeling.
"It's weird because there's this strong title on us, but we're finally getting to know each other for the first time…like we're friends?" You questioned yourself, the pitch in your voice raised as you looked at the pro-hero for some backup.
You watch as Katsuki silently nods his head. "Yeah, it's weird," he responds flatly. Well, there goes your deep moment. The moon hung in the night sky, casting a gentle glow on the surroundings, creating an atmosphere of tranquility. The rhythmic sounds of your footsteps echoed in the quiet park as you continued your stroll.
"Well, listen—"
"Woah!"
Snapping your head towards the loud shout, you watch as a stampede of kids wanders straight towards the both of you. "Wow! Are you really Dynamight?" one of the kids speaks. Looking over at the hero, you snake your arm out of his hold before he looks down at the kid with a frown.
"And if I was?" Katsuki asks the kid, tilting his head as he watches the group of kids look at each other and ponder their next choice of words. "Then this would be the best day of our lives!" one of them exclaimed, soon all the other kids bustled in agreement.
"Well then, I'm guilty."
Soon the group of kids erupts with cheering and sounds of awe. You watch as the kids grow closer to the hero, admiring him as close as they can. From drooling at his costume (at least some parts of them), screams of excitement watching him as they quote: "go boom boom," to giggling when they touch his spiky hair.
You smile softly as you watch the fondness of the hero. Maybe you should've chosen to do the interview with the kids instead…
"Excuse me, miss, you're really pretty."
Startled, you look down at one of the tinier children. Flattered, you brightly smile and bend down to be on their level. "Well, thank you very much. I find you very adorable." You giggle, as you watch the child become bashful at your words.
Looking up, you watch as Katsuki was…smiling?
You've seen him smile before, but this time it was different. It was warm, almost endearing? The moon hung in the night sky, casting a gentle glow on the surroundings, creating an atmosphere of tranquility. The rhythmic sounds of your footsteps echoed in the quiet park as you continued your stroll.
As the kids bombarded Dynamight with questions, you couldn't help but join in on the excitement. "Hey, Dynamight, which hero do you think is the strongest?" one curious kid asked.
Katsuki smirked, his eyes gleaming with a mischievous glint. "Well, obviously it's me. No one can beat Dynamight!" he declared, causing the kids to burst into laughter and applause.
Another child chimed in, "Miss, are you Dynamight's girlfriend?"
You chuckled, "No, not really... We work together."
"But you'd make a cool superhero couple!" one kid insisted.
Katsuki raised an eyebrow, shooting you a sidelong glance. "They're smarter than they look," he muttered under his breath, earning a playful nudge from you.
"You kids treat her with respect, this is my fiance. Understand?" He says sternly. The kids comply blindly, as they would do anything to appease one of their role models.
The encounter with the kids turned into a delightful conversation, filled with laughter and innocent questions. It was a refreshing break from the usual routine, and you found yourself enjoying the unexpected bonding sesh with Dynamight.
"Yep, he's my fiance."
thinking HEAVILY about illegal street racer bakugo OR jungkook and illegal street racer reader… like the scene in 2fast2furious where tej asks suki if she’d race anyone he found and she agrees n the person who comes is brian except reader is brian and bakugo/jungkook is suki..
he’s all cocky in the beginning because thinks you’re a nobody and he could easily put race you and your girly pink car. little does he know you’re the best underground racer in the game and everyone knows you for your countless wins & evading the police every single time.
you tell him to put his money where his mouth is, to you this was child’s play. 15 grand USD. if you lose you won’t at least it would’ve been to a hot blond/brunette but, if you won then you’d go home 15 thousand dollars richer. it was a win win situation.
Ok so I've briefly touched on this, and I've done some reblogging of some other people's posts about it but I've decided it's time I add my own thoughts on Midoriya using Deku as his hero name.
Personally, I think it's one of Horikoshi's biggest failures in the early part of the series. We get glimpses of Midoriya's mental health being shit throughout the series, and the name Deku and his mistreatment by his peers and even his teachers pre OFA is pretty damn bad.
So, while I do understand what Horikoshi was going for with having Midoriya claim the name Deku as something different, it still feels wrong. Especially when adding in the context of how Uraraka just bulldozed over it being an insult that his freaking bully called him to be awful. And maybe if Bakugo had actually gotten REAL consequences for his actions or moved to 1-B or something, I wouldn't have as big an issue with it. But damn Bakugo has treated Midoriya like crap in every flash back we see. And has been a constant negative presence in Midoriya's life the entire time. And that, along with Bakugo being the one to give him that awful nickname in the first place, drives me crazy. Horikoshi has had so many missed opportunities and made a lot of choices with character development that leave me scratching my head in confusion. And about 90% of those decisions have something to do with Bakugo.
But I'm getting off topic a bit. During the war arc we really see Midoriya spiral and a big part of me actually enjoyed it in some ways because it was the first time we really get to see Midoriya behave in the way that's indicative of how he and heroes have treated by society as a whole. He believes wholeheartedly that he needs to hunt down AFO and Shigaraki alone because that's how All Might has been presented, and he has to live up to that pressure. He fully believes that his life is worthless and that he's only useful if he's doing everything he can to protect others even at the cost of himself. Which all comes back to Deku. I fully believe that Midoriya still feels like as a person he's worthless, and that's why he really chose Deku. Maybe he hoped that he could change the meaning of it now that he has OFA, but I think deep down he believes otherwise. We've seen that throughout the manga and anime. He consistently broke himself when he realized someone more powerful than him or who had a quirk from childhood was in danger. At the USJ, when he tried to attack Shigaraki, who was trying to dust Tsu. When he attacked the Zero pointer during the entrance exam so it wouldn't crush Uraraka. When he launched himself at Shigaraki to protect All Might. When he and Todoroki fought in the sports festival and he irreparably damaged his hand. There are so many instances of this kid letting himself be hurt by others to protect someone else, and he has zero regard for his own life. It's pretty heartbreaking, honestly. It's a big contributor to why I stopped reading the manga at this point. Well, that and Bakugo's deus ex machina, but well, it's bakugo, and I hate him, so that shouldn't surprise anyone who has seen my rants or knows me irl.
But yeah, I both loathe and understand why Midoriya went with Deku as his hero name. That doesn't mean I agree with the decision, but I understand it.
Bakugou Katsuki x Male Reader
inspo: integral - dios
M/n is Izuku's older brother who is also quirkless.
TW: potential age gap, undiagnosed depression, anhedonia
M/n knew how the blonde explosive boy looked at him. It was strange but he couldn't care less about the child's feelings. He only cares for Izuku and his mother, some boy who gave him flowers and a small clay abomination wasn't important...
"Wow, Kat-chan! That's amazing," he heard his brother shout looking at the mess. His cold and sharp words could no longer be said... 'For Izuku.' he thought as he reached over and carefully took the presents. With the same smile he gave his brother he sang praises.
The light in his eyes when he did. It was something that was amusing. Like a pet getting a treat. No, a pet would listen more... They wouldn't leave such a bruise on his brother's body. At night, he would stare at the clay mess. His hand clenching over the object like it was filth before Izuku gently grabbed his hand. "Don't hurt yourself."
"Oh," his smile appeared again as he picked up the greenette and sat him in his lap. "It's okay. He'll just make more anyways." He spoke calmly as he crushed the mess in his hands. Izuku stared in shock. The flowers were in the trash. Unlike the ones that he gave. They were littered around his room, some even hanged to dry.
Though he was quirkless, he didn't treat him any differently.
"Mama?" His eyes gazed over his mother's pained face as she hugged her son tightly. "Mrs. Midoriya, as you know, there was an incident at your son's school," oh right. They kept talking as he just stared. "What do you have to say for yourself?" The teacher asked as the principal watched. "Mama, did I make you cry? Km sorry," he stood up and took a tissue. Gently wiping her tears away. Resting his head on her shoulder.
His eyes gazed over the two adults...
She was crying again. What happened? She covered her face as she dropped to the floor. The nurses rushed to her side as the doctor carefully pulled him away. "Mama..." He whispered. "Hey, how about we play a game." He turned his head towards the man who tried to take his attention away from his weeping mother. "Something's wrong with me, isn't there?" He asked while glancing at his hands.
The doctor seemed shocked.
"I've noticed. I don't care for others. The only people I care for are my mother and brother," He spoke as he stared deeply at the doctor who slowly became uncomfortable with the intense stare. "My classmates, they wanted to kill me," he remembers why he was sent home that day. "Why am I here? Shouldn't they be evaluated? They threatened to kill someone who is quirkless,” his voice slowly became agitated. "They were going to shove a pencil in my mouth and they used their quirks on me," he remembers the blood.
The screams.
"Oh, is it because they were girls in the mix? Damn, I should've kept their mouths shut."
"Oh, you should keep your mouth shut. You may have a quirk but it doesn't stop you from dying. A gun is easy to purchase these days."
The doctor stared in disbelief.
The doctor didn't stay quiet.
He was sent to therapy, so much therapy and given pills to keep his symptoms at bay. He was somewhat better, he clearly had interest in anyone other than his family. "M/n!" Katsuki rushed over with another flower. He reached over and took the flower with a smile. Without Izuku's praises... "Thank you, it's wonderful."
The flower was thrown away later that night.
Years later...
M/n was part of the Shie Hassaikai. Overhaul was obsessed with the quirkless male, he was perfect. He was stronger without the quirks. He was able to aim perfectly. Everything was perfect to be a right hand man. The fact he couldn't care for anyone was a bonus.
And that he became.
Eri, a child that reminded him of Izuku. His eyes widened as he read the experiments she endured and was heartbreaking. But he needed to make the world perfect. So Izuku could be the only hero. So he could be like All Might. "They could never outshine him." He spoke as he hugged the very thing that could make it happen.
Eri mistook that as love. She saw his face. "Shh, my little brother looks like me. If you ever see him. Run to him. Let him be your hero."
She found him. He was her hero.
He smiled.
"M/n!" Izuku shouted as it was his turn to visit his brother. His classmates stared in shock. This was new! He gave a soft smile towards his brother, he was lifted up with ease before being put down. "M/n." His head turned to see Katsuki. That same light... It was amusing to see it again after so many years.
Izuku was now a teen. He knew that look and blocked him. "M/n! Let me show you the dorm! Even the school!" He grabbed his hand and dragged him away. He knew about M/n's diagnosis. "I was going to say hi," he spoke up after they stopped. "No you weren't." He glanced away. "He's so pitiful, still having a crush after so many years. Isn't that pathetic?" Izuku flinched.
"Not now." He whispered and dragged him away. "It's funny, how do you think he would look if I told him I broke every one of his gifts?" He pushed his brother's button knowing he still cared about his best friend. "I want to tell him. How disgusted I was to pretend to like them." It seems they didn't notice the group stopping and listening.
"Stop it, did you take your medicine?" Izuku asked, his fists shaking holding in anger. "Plus those kids he hung around? Did he think being so annoying was cool? Ah," he sighed out. "I guess I don't need to even hide it anymore." Izuku's eyes widened turning to see his class staring in shock.
Katsuki's eyes shadows as he clenched his fists.
"Oh dear," M/n walked over and ruffled his hair. A gesture that would bring many feelings... Now it only felt fake just now. "Don't feel bad. I was born this way. Even if you try your hardest," his hand moved away with a fake smile reserved for only Katsuki. "I won't be able to love you or anyone for that matter."
Harsh reality.
They were young adults now.
Katsuki didn't care anymore... But every time he heard Izuku talk about what his brother was up to... He couldn't help but feel hurt but didn't want to miss anything. "M/n is getting married," Katsuki's eyes widened. He said he couldn't love. Did someone achieve what he wanted?
The wedding was beautiful, and the bride was just as beautiful. The kiss they shared made Katsuki sick. Izuku and his mother smiled tearfully.
Katsuki couldn't handle it. He walked out quietly for a smoke. The party was loud and it managed to snap him out of his thoughts when he drifted too far. M/n appeared out of nowhere, smoking as well but away from the blonde who only stared.
That smile again, so fake (yet so handsome). "Oh, hey," his voice was terrible (beautiful). "How's my wedding, nice right?" Salt to the wound.
The End by Zero 9:36 is Kacchan's theme song I've decided
I don't feel it when they talk on me, I won't take it
Get the fuck from 'round me, let's face it
You can't dive in this back in my basement
If you don't get what I'm saying, I'm not changing for you
Problems, I got too many of 'em
So I'm running through the days to catch up on 'em
I got plenty of 'em
No one hates me more than I do
So I'm the only one decidin' when the end is coming
I push myself to the edge
Feel it in my chest
None of y'all can stand in my way
in a sky full of stars
...Bakugo thinks he sees the goth bitch who works the night shift at the convenience store. ♪☆♫ ao3
(Bakugo is a bodyguard-cum-security-guard hired by the town mayor to protect the city. With the rising torrent of villainous events happening lately, he gets injured on a near-daily basis, stopping by the nearby convenience store for a box of plasters almost every night.
He has it bad enough as it is, but the goth bitch who works the night shift at the convenience store just has to keep making sarcastic remarks at him.)
===================♪☆♫=====================
“That’ll be 200 yen,” says the cashier as she hands him the pack of bandages.
Bakugo drops the two coins on the counter, grabbing the packet as he turns to take a leave, but the cashier continues speaking before he does.
”And stop getting into fights,” She looks him straight in his face; kid’s got balls. “It’s bad for health.”
”The fuck?” Bakugo almost shouts; a few heads in the store turn to accost him. “The fuck are you, my mom?”
“10 yen extra for the plastic bag,” says the cashier to the next customer, no longer responding to Bakugo. “That’ll be 610 yen in total.”
===================♪☆♫===================== The next night, she’s there again.
“Bitch, it’s you again.” Bakugo grins; now he’s the customer and she has no excuse to ignore him. Such a bitch she really is - Bakugo thinks she even looks like some hooligan cult member, multiple piercings and black fingernail polish and all.
”That’ll be 200 yen,” is her deadpan response. “Plus 10 yen for the plastic bag, so 210 yen.”
”Fuck off, bitch,” is all he says before he leaves the store, store doorbell ringing in his wake.
He doesn’t even realise that he forgot to take the plastic bag he’d paid extra for.
===================♪☆♫===================== She’s there again the next night.
”What the fucking fuck are you, some fucking ghost fucking haunting this fuckin’ shop or somethin’?” Bakugo exercises his fullest linguistic capacity. “It’s you taking my money every single time.”
”Not some fucking ghost fucking haunting this fuckin’ shop or somethin’,” she responds, sounding slightly amused. “Just a starving college student trying to pay the rent. 200 yen, because I guess you don’t need the plastic bag.” She looks slightly amused, too, and her face makes Bakugo want to punch her. He doesn’t, though, because there’s an old lady behind him waiting to pay for some sleeping pills and lozenges.
"Then stop acting like you're the fucking princess of fucking China," He grabs the box and makes his way to the door. "Get rich first before you do."
”Stop getting into fights,” she says, waving her free hand a little at him as he leaves. “It’s bad for health.”
===================♪☆♫===================== Truth be told, Bakugo wants to stop getting into fights himself.
But if there were ever such thing as an “occupational hazard”, then this must be it for him, because if being a security guard in this side of town didn’t involve fights, then no one would have needed to hire a bodyguard-cum-security-guard in the first place.
Bakugo sighs longsufferingly. Huge event tonight. Very rich hosts. Even richer guests. He can almost smell the criminals approaching. Goddammit.
The night is going to be long, and the events that will come are going to be just fantastic for Bakugo’s health.
===================♪☆♫===================== “Whoa, wait,” is what she says this time, instead of 200 yen. “I think I want to call you an ambulance.”
”Just gimme my plasters and lemme fuck off,” Bakugo gruffs. The night had been terribly terrible for Bakugo’s health, because he's bleeding profusely out of more than many parts of himself.
”You must be a fool to think these bandages can fix you,” she tries, and had Bakugo been listening he’d have heard the way her voice is almost fully devoid of sarcasm this time; in its place is a genuine concern Bakugo would have thought to be uncharacteristic of the usually sarcastic cashier.
Bakugo doesn’t have the energy to ignore her, nor respond to her. He limps his way out of the door, doorbells jingling worriedly in his wake.
===================♪☆♫===================== Bakugo is lying on some random bench when he wakes up.
Fate would not have much mercy on him, because he is in excruciating pain. Small mercies, though, because apparently he’d managed to land himself on a bench before he’d passed out; imagine if he had been on some ditch or road or river or god forbid, some female toilet.
He opens the plastic bag, and realises the bandages are of the extra-large variety this time - strange, did he grab the wrong box? (Well, wrong box or not, these plasters are definitely the right type for the scale of his injuries tonight.) Another thing is strange - there’s something other than the box of plasters at the bottom of the bag. A pack of painkillers. This was definitely by no means his mistake - Bakugo Katsuki does not utilise painkillers (because he is the painkiller, is what he tells everyone who tries to sell him one, or persuade him to buy one)...
...or perhaps it'd be more appropriate to say that Bakugo Katsuki does not usually utilise painkillers, because this time he is really in fucking excruciating pain, so he decides to try one.
(Bakugo doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out how the pack of painkillers got there. He can only guess the same for the upsized plasters. The fuck does she think she’s doing, though? Wouldn’t she get herself fired if her manager catches her sneaking these things, or something? Bakugo silently hopes she paid actual money for throwing in the extra item, rather than her job.)
Half an hour later, apparently the painkillers worked like magic, because there’s so much less pain. So much less, that Bakugo Katsuki decides that maybe he will perhaps kind of maybe occasionally utilise painkillers. (Only when he really, really needs them.)
===================♪☆♫===================== Three hours later, “occasionally” arrives. (He really, really needed them. Curse those stupid muggers and their extra-sharp daggers.)
Three days later, Bakugo is almost all recovered.
He is also back at his job, because mercy does not exist. If anyone’d thought his boss would let him off due to injury, they’d definitely be fucking dreaming of fairy fucking tales.
Small mercies do exist, though, because tonight there’s no large event, just the boss’s daughter and friends having a sleepover, watching animated versions of fairy tales.
After the small, fairytale-like event, it's the first time Bakugo sees her in a long while, because he does need some plasters suffered from some small cuts from saving the boss's daughter's stupid cat from climbing up a tree.
“You’re alive!” The cashier chirps, and it’s the first time Bakugo sees her smile. It’s also the first time Bakugo sees her name tag - Jirou Kyouka, it reads.
”Are you trying to fucking curse me or something,” Bakugo curses. “Of fucking course I am.”
”Don’t forget your change,” she tries to hand him four 100-yen coins. “And don’t forget to change - fighting is bad for health.”
”That ain’t my change. I hadn’t paid fully for the purchase four nights ago, thanks to you. XL bandages and painkillers from the previous time add up to 410 yen, including the plastic bag. Today I only have the normal-sized bandage and no plastic bag, so I paid exactly 610 yen.” Bakugo brandishes his box of bandages at her. “Even I can count.”
This time, she’s silent. A few moments later, she laughs, and it’s the first time Bakugo hears her laugh.
”Okay,” she says, slightly red in the face. “Still, don’t forget to change. Wouldn’t want to have you dead, not anytime soon.”
Bakugo leaves the store, trying not to wonder what that last sentence really meant.
===================♪☆♫===================== When Bakugo reaches the store this time, two things are strange.
Firstly, there’s no one at the counter. Bakugo tries ringing the service bell; nothing. Tries screaming is anyone fucking there you fucking lazy fuckers; nothing, maybe except for a few shocked faces from customers around him. Nope, no one there at the counter.
Secondly, Sarcastic Goth Bitch is not there.
“200 yen,” he hears a high-pitched cutesy female voice go; he turns. Nothing.
What the fuck?
”I’m in front of you, sir,” comes the voice. “Ugh, look at me already, would you.”
Bakugo tries looking in front of him. Nothing…except a floating name tag that reads Hagakure Toru.
”This is so fucking creepy,” he slaps the two 100-yen coins on the table, leaving the store as soon as his legs can. ===================♪☆♫=====================
She isn’t there the next day either.
(In her place this time is an almost equally-invisible squirt with equally-creepy grape-like hair.)
===================♪☆♫===================== Not the next day either.
(In her place this time is a confused-looking blonde-haired dude.)
===================♪☆♫===================== Nor the next.
“Where’s the fucking goth bitch,” Bakugo demands. The white-haired cashier with a quarter of his face reddish-brown (a burn scar?) blinks silently. A few seconds pass as Bakugo waits expectantly for the cashier to respond to his question, which really sounded more like a demand, devoid of question mark intonation.
”Oh,” the cashier guy actually manages to realise who Bakugo’s referring to, around 15 seconds later. “If you’re talking about Jirou, she’s busy with rehearsals every night for this week and the next.” The white-haired guy’s nametag read shotokeiki or something; isn’t Christmas still months away?, thinks Bakugo.
Rehearsals…the fuck?
She’s not there the next day either.
Bakugo curses himself for even trying; of course she wouldn’t be. It’s still the same week.
Not there again.
Bakugo didn’t even need the bandages this time, but somehow or rather he found himself checking in there anyway. But nope, not there again.
Not there again; Bakugo Katsuki, you fucking fucked up idiot fucker, he curses inwardly, three boxes of unopened bandages in hand. (Apparently Bakugo hasn't realised the possibility of leaving without buying things from a store, after checking for the presence or absence of a particularly sarcastic but also surprisingly caring goth bitch cashier who has the gall to both make fun of his injuries and make them feel better.)
===================♪☆♫===================== Apparently he wouldn’t even be able to check in at the convenience store tonight, because the event is in the other side of town.
The ‘cool’ side of town. The safe side of town. The one that barely needs any security; barely needs any guard.
Nonetheless, there Bakugo Katsuki is, because his boss told him to be. Apparently, he owns this venue or something. It’s an open-air concert-like venue; feels really weird to be guarding such a huge mob of people at one go, at such an outdoorsy location.
Not that he’s complaining. Most of the time, he’s tasked to be a bodyguard for some drunkard and the room always smells either like alcohol, tobacco, vomit and/or blood. Tonight he gets fresh air - small mercies. Just that he'd have to travel particularly far to stop by the usual convenience store at the usual side of town, to buy bandages...as if. Even Bakugo knows he's lying - he just wants to check if Sarcastic Goth Bitch Cashier Fucker is still alive. How ironic, because she's been the one asking him to quit fighting and stay healthy and stay alive the whole time. And now she's missing. (Bakugo's still lying. He knows she's alive, just at some rehearsals for some shit. He just wanted to see her and her stupid face and hear her and her stupid voice.)
Looking up, he realises it’s a dark night out, and that quite a few stars are visible. (Or maybe they are just satellites? Who fucking knows.) Regardless, he gets fresh sights, too.  ===================♪☆♫=====================
And no fresher can the sight get than when the concert starts, because there she is, electric guitar in one hand and microphone in the other; there she is, in front of him, in front of everyone underneath the same skyful of stars.  (That night, he gets fresh smells, sights and sounds, and a fresh perspective on Cashier Goth Bitch Fucker.)
===================♪☆♫===================== “Found you,” Bakugo grins, plopping the bag of spicy potato chips down on in front of the cash register. “You’re finally back. Good concert.”
Jirou grins back in response. “Yes, Fucking Goth Bitch is finally back.” She scans the bag of extra-spicy chips, machine gleefully beeping away. “And thanks. And yay, you're no longer buying bandages! Good health to you too, finally.”
”Of course,” Bakugo chooses to keep secret the three still-unopened boxes of bandages in his bag - the ones he bought three nights in a row starting from four nights before, just to check in on whether she's alive, just to get to see her and her stupid face and hear her and her stupid voice. (Turns out he got to hear her voice last night, and it wasn't at all stupid, but more melodious than anything that has met his ears.) "Wouldn't be, without you."
My hero academia boys find you crying? (Angst)
Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, Kirishima Eijiro, Denki Kaminari
Izuku(Deku)
He would first start panicking trying to figure out what happened to you.
"A-Are you okay?! Oh my god do you need something?? Can I get you something??"
After the mini panic attack he just had, he's going to try to understand what the reason is. If you don't want to tell him? No problem. He'll stay and hug you hard, telling you softly to let the tears fall. That it's okay to cry. "You can talk to me about it, sweetie. I'm always here for you."
Somehow hugging him only makes you sob harder and eventually tell him what was wrong. He'll stay there the whole time, listening intently and running a hand up and down your back. He'll tell you that its fine. That everything's going to be alright. And even if it's not, he'll always be there for you even when there's no one else left.
Katsuki Bakugo
Bakugo's initial reaction might be gruff or abrasive, but underneath his tough exterior, he does care for those close to him. It's hard for him to express that he's worried.
"Oi brat. Toughen up." He might start with a more of a confident voice, but somehow seeing you cry makes his heart ache so.. so badly.
He might stand there awkwardly for a moment before grumbling, "What's got you bawling like an idiot?" But as you continue to cry, he'll soften slightly, realizing the severity of your emotions. Despite his discomfort, he'll awkwardly offer his arms to invite you to hug him, trying to offer some form of comfort. He'll scoff when you come closer and mumble. "My stupid little idiot."
He'll hold you as if you're made of glass and somehow deep inside he's scared that he'll hurt you somehow. He might not say much, but his presence alone is his way of showing that he cares.
Shoto Todoroki
To be honest, he doesn't know what to do. He just stands there awkwardly for a while until you look up at him. He would quietly approach you with his usual stone face, but behind it, it's filled with worry.
"Are you okay?" His voice would be soft, almost tentative, as he approaches you.
He'd sit beside you quietly, offering a comforting presence until you feel ready to talk. Todoroki might gently place a hand on your shoulder or offer you a tissue without saying much, allowing you the space to open up if you choose to. He won't ask you to open up about what's wrong. If you feel like telling him, you will.
And whilst you tell him, he'll listen silently and sometimes his sheer inattentiveness towards things would make you let out a small laugh. Todoroki doesn't get it but nevertheless he's happy he made you cheer up a bit.
Denki Kaminari
Denki's reaction might be a mix of confusion and concern. He's not always the best at handling serious situations, but he cares deeply for his friends.
"Hey, uh, what's wrong?" He'd approach you with a slightly awkward smile, clearly unsure of how to proceed.
Seeing you cry would likely catch him off guard, and he might fumble for words at first. "Um, h-hey, it's gonna be okay, right? You know, whatever it is, we can figure it out together."
Despite his initial uncertainty, Denki would try his best to comfort you. He might crack a few jokes or attempt to lighten the mood with his lighthearted personality, hoping to bring a smile to your face. Some of his failed attempts at it would make you giggle through the sobs.
Denki would listen attentively to whatever you have to say. He might offer words of encouragement, assuring you that he's there to support you no matter what.
Throughout the interaction, Denki's genuine concern for your well-being would shine through, even if he's not always the most eloquent or composed in expressing it. He'd stay by your side, offering comfort and companionship until you feel better.
Kirishima Eijiro
"Hey, are you okay?" His voice would be soft, but filled with genuine concern as he approaches you.
He'd sit down beside you, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder or offering you a reassuring smile. Kirishima's presence alone would feel grounding, as if you're not facing whatever troubles you alone.
"Whatever it is, you can talk to me about it. I'm here for you," he'd say earnestly, his eyes reflecting his sincerity.
If you choose to confide in him, Kirishima would listen intently, nodding along and offering words of support. He'd validate your feelings, letting you know that it's okay to feel the way you do.
"You're really manly for opening up about this," he'd say, his voice filled with admiration. "But remember, you don't have to go through this alone. I'll always have your back." Kirishima would stand up and flex his muscles as if to show you his manliness making you chuckle.
"And anyways if anything happens to you, I'll always be there to save you my princess."
Throughout the conversation, Kirishima's unwavering support and positivity would be a source of comfort, helping to lift your spirits and ease your burden. He'd stay by your side, offering encouragement and solidarity until you feel better.
