this was a request so thank you anon for providing the idea, i changed some of the detailing ever slightly to fit it more into the social media format but overall i followed the request so i hope i did it justice! 

as a bit of a background: you and charles have been together for a few years now, but nobody knows because they’ve kept their relationship secret from the f1 community and private from anyone who follows you. everything is going great until photos of you and charles on vacation get leaked. normally you’d deny it or ignore it but it was very obviously charles in the pictures which cause fans to go crazy, wanting to know everything ultimately resulting in you and charles deciding to go public and hoping for the best. oh and the request included having other drivers on the grid having gone through recent breakups which was another reason charles liked that your relationship was private.

“Merci mon amour” You smiled as he situated himself next to you in bed. Having been dating now for almost 3 years, you had picked up on french terms and were able to have small conversations only speaking French with Charles 

“I posted you on instagram” you told him as he wrapped an arm around your shoulders pulling you closer into him but being careful not to spill the drink in your hands 

“Oh what did you post? My phones charging” he explained as you unlocked your phone and showed him the post you made for him “You’re now being referred to as mystery man” you chuckled. 

Out of all the names people had given him throughout the years, this was definitely your favourite. Charles also chuckled when he heard the name that was given to him 

“Can I ask you something?” Charles asked after a few seconds of comfortable silence passed between the two of you 

“Of course, what’s up?” you asked after taking a small sip of your tea “Do you ever think about going public with our relationship?” He followed up 

You turned to face him fully “Of course, mon amour but we both agreed it was better this way” You reiterated the promise you made early on in your relationship 

“I know but I hate that I cant comment on your posts or even post you myself” he sighed “I want to keep you safe but I also want the whole world to know you’re mine and I’m yours” he finished. 

“I know it’s not fair” you exclaimed while running your fingers through his hair, something you did for him when he was stressed or feeling anxious “I love you all the time though regardless if you post me or not you know that. Right?” You asked him 

“Of course I do” he told you in response closing his eyes feeling relaxed “One day we’ll go public. Im making you that promise” he told you opening his eyes again 

You smiled at him “Sounds like a beautiful promise” you responded, leaning in to kiss his cheek “As much as I would love to spend the rest of the night talking with you, you have to be at the airport early tomorrow” you reminded him as you stopped playing with his hair, to turn and put your mug on the bedside table next to your side of the bed, Charles putting his own mug on the table next to his side 

“Im gonna miss you” he told you when you were both situated in bed, the only source of light coming from the evening sky outside “Not as much as I’m gonna miss you” you told him, snuggling into his side while his arm pulled you closer to him. 

Even if you had been dating for awhile, the start of the race season was always a struggle, neither of you wanting to be apart for long periods of time but it was moments like these that you held close and savoured until the next time you could be this close again.

Charles was standing with the other drivers, whenever the new season started they always had to do a bunch of media and although some drivers may hate how childish some of the antics were, overall it’s always a nice time getting to be in the same place as everyone and not be competing for once. 

Charles turned to George and Pierre who were in conversation with Carlos and Lando. Somehow they had gotten on the topics of relationships, Lando having told everyone that the girl he was seeing at the end of the previous season before the break, wasn’t in the picture anymore. 

“Aw mate I’m sorry” Charles told him “Its okay, we weren’t anything serious” Lando told him, seeming to be completely fine with the outcome. “Carlos how are you and your lady?” Lando asked Carlos taking the attention off of him 

“Ehh, its alright” Charles’ teammate answered the question directed at him “We barely talk and now with racing starting, I don’t see her sticking around much longer” he explained his current situation. 

To Charles it seemed as though everyone who had been relationships or atleast talking to someone, now had no one which made him a feel a bit guilty as he had been in a 2 year long relationship that none of them knew of. 

Later in the day, the guilt in Charles stomach only grew when he somehow found out 3 more drivers on the grids long term relationships had ended. He was feeling unnerved because it seemed as if there was some sort of relationship ruiner going through the paddock and he didn’t want to be the next victim. 

That night, he called you up, for a moment forgetting about the time change but remembering its only a small change. You answered after a few rings, you had your painting scrubs on indicating you had been working on a new piece of art 

“Hi mon amour” you exclaimed happy to see your boyfriend “I was just in the middle of painting, let me just take my scrubs off so I can move to the couch” You explained, Charles nodded his head acknowledging you

“Okay tell me how everything went today, I want to hear it all” you started talking again once you were situated on your couch. Charles started telling you about his day making sure to include what he learned about his fellow racers, which only caused you both to feel content keeping your relationship to yourselves.

Charles was resting in his drivers room. He was trying to mediate which meant he had his phone silenced. This was something you started doing with him when he would get in his head about racing and it helped him regain his focus especially during the moments when he was to hard on himself.

He had been in here for probably 30 minutes before there was a rapid knock on the door “Charles, its Carlos can I come in?” his teammate asked from the other side 

“Yeah” Charles answered. Carlos opened the door and stepped into the room “Have you been on instagram?” Carlos asked holding his phone in his hand 

“No why?” Charles was confused, what was so important on there that had Carlos wondering of his activity on the app “You should see this” Carlos told him while passing him his opened phone. 

When Charles looked down and saw what he saw, he felt his heart stop. There you and him were on his boat, last summer. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. He scrolled through his tagged and it was flooded with the same pictures posted by various accounts 

“This isn’t good” he mumbled to himself as he passed Carlos his phone back so he could pick up his own phone. He went to go text you immediately when he remembered you had told him, you and your best friend were going camping for a few days which meant you wouldn’t have reception until you got back home. 

He opted to still text you something rather than nothing, that way you would see his message once you turned your phone back on and would give him a call. 

“Can I ask who she is?” Carlos asked after a few moments of silence “Shes my girlfriend. We’ve been together now for almost 3 years” Charles answered his friends question, figuring the secret was out now and there was no point in lying. 

“Oh wow, you’ve kept this going for that long and its just now coming to light. Thats impressive” Carlos told him 

“Yeah we decided early on to keep it between us” Charles sighed “We were planning on going public eventually but I guess the public beat us to it” 

Carlos just gave his teammate a sympathetic nod, there wasn’t anything he could say in the moment but he could still be there for his friend. 

A few days after this, when you were on the drive back to your place, you turned your phone back on, having a few texts from Charles. One that stood out, read ‘Babe give me a call when you can. I have to talk to you about something’ the text from Charles read. 

You weren’t sure what this could be about so you didn’t wait to dial his number once you were in the comfort of your apartment. After a few rings, Charles answered, asking you how camping was and catching up before moving on to talk about what happened while you were offline. 

That night you and Charles had a long conversation on what you both wanted to do in this situation and after some back and forth, finally came to a decision regarding your relationship that you both hoped you wouldn’t regret down the line.

Plot: Sergio having just married you wanted to show you of in the Red Bull Garage, but you feel so happy to be back after being so busy in your own career that everyone is dying to talk to you and someone gets a little jealous.

It was your first time back in the paddock for around a year. You'd been away for a large period of time, between filming for an up and coming blockbuster and being in an ongoing TV show you had a tight schedule and only was able to see your husband when he had breaks.

He helped you scan your paddock pass and then placed a gentle hand on the small of your back.

"Are you excited?" he asks you as he looked over to you, the media noticed the pair of you walk through and were quick to snap pictures of your return to the paddock.

"Yes, I cannot wait to see everyone! I haven't seen Lance or Max in ages!" You admit, knowing you hadn’t really seen his friends in a while.

“Good!”

Before you know it you’ve been thrusted back into the world of F1, all the cameras and the people wanting to talk, the smells coming from the hospitalities and the cars. It was an introverts nightmare.

However, Sergio always knew you were a people person despite your social battery draining quicker than most people’s. You loved the hustle and bustle life that came with being on track and with Sergio.

Whether you were off chatting to Will Buxton about his latest Drive to Survive meme, or hunting down Crofty timo interrupt his grid walk, or chatting to the mechanics in the garage about the car, to finalise it all up speaking with Christian about Max and Sergio.

Today was a little different, you were feeling anxious where it was your first day back in a while. However the minute you and your husband walked into the garage he’d been whisked away along with Max by their race engineers towards the big bosses office.

You and Kelly not having seen each other in so long decided it would be nice considering it was media day and there was no actual racing if you guys rounded up some of the other wags and did a little shopping.

You guys ventured from Red Bull to some of the other paddocks on the hunt for the other girlies. You stumbled upon Lily, Alexandra, Rebecca and Kika who all decided they were down for some shopping to save the boredom that was media day.

You guys hit Milan central getting a train down from Monza. There were some fans around who excitedly asked for pictures. You guys all obliged before getting on with the day and going into the different high end stores.

By the end, you guys had taken the phrase ‘shop till you drop’ far to literally. You all travelled back to the hotel that you were staying in courtesy of the team in which their partner drove for. The bags were placed on the coffee table and sofa in the living area of the room.

Kelly had a separate room for her and P because she was doing a fashion show in Milan on the Monday and Tuesday after the races, so she had a lot of cases with her because of the clothes and shoes and just general space she would need. So when she invited you back for a girlie sleepover with her and P you couldn’t decline.

Sending a quick text to your husband who was still at the racetrack you left the room straight to Kelly’s which was only a few doors down. P answered the door which to Kelly’s dismay who was currently in the bathroom taking her makeup off before she could even get to the door.

“We don’t answer the door, it could have been a stranger Penelope!” She lightly scolds, the younger girl not caring to much and pulling you into a hug.

“Awwww hello P” you sigh hugging her back beofre picking her up and placing her on your hip.

“Are you going to let me do your hair tonight while we watch a Disney movie!” You ask and Ps eyes light up with excitement.

“Let me guess, the little mermaid?” You ask her and she nods furiously going towards the controller in the room to pull up what you assumed would be Disney +.

You spent the rest of the night with the daughter mother duo, doing facials, watching films and ordering an obscene amount of desserts from room service.

The next day you woke up and went to your room to see if Sergio would join you for breakfast but the room was empty, bed all screwed up and unmade showing you your husband had in fact come home last night.

You sit alone for breakfast which was nice, just to be able to think on your own thoughts for some time. Most of them being about your new movie, or the TV show and how to develop your character.

You took and Uber to the race track not wanting to be rudely late for FP1, wanting to support your husband. As you got there, running through the paddocks gates and mumbling profanities at the electronic gate which wouldn’t let you in after 4 attempts on your pass, you spotted Sergio.

“Hola, good night with Kelly?” He smiles at you, kissing your cheek lightly. You nod and open your mouth about to say something but his race engineer calls out for him pointing towards the garage entrance.

“Go, don’t want to be late on the job now!” You home and he just laughs lightly shaking his head before turning away and running out the the garage where his car was.

You stood with Kelly watching your boys drive. It felt like forever that Sergio was in the car, but again the minute he got out he was whisked away to a debrief with what went wrong with the car.

That was how the rest of the weekend went, whenever you had free time it felt like he was being taken away for important meeting, interviews and various media commitments and when he was free you were either on the phone with work or had organised to do something with the girls because you thought he was busy at that time but due to scheduling mixups he was actually free and refused to let you cancel on the girls.

It got to Sunday night after the race. Sergio had come in P2 behind Max and with Carlos just behind him. He’d had a great drive and you couldn’t have been prouder to celebrate his podium with him.

You were in the hotel room together, you’d just gotten out the shower and into night wear, he was laying on the bed, in his pijama pants and shirtless like normal.

You jumped onto the bed curling up into his side pulling him so as much as your skin was touching his.

“I feel like I haven’t seen you for ages mi amor” you voice before tilting your head that was laying in his chest to look up up him.

“Mmmmm No es suficiente!” He mumbles looking down at you. (It’s not sufficient!)

“What isn’t?” You ask perplexed.

“The time I had with you this weekend, not enough of it. I brought you here to spend more time with you and everyone didn’t want to see us together” he sighs pulling you closer with a pout on his face. On camera your husband didn’t seem like the clingy type but boy of boy was he.

“Argh you big baby, I’m not filming for another 5 weeks so your stuck with me all this time. This week was just unfortunate” you smile pulling him into a soft kiss which he quickly returns.

“God I missed this, just you” he smiles softly before pulling you into another kiss.

“Is this making up for it?” You offer smirking slightly knowing now that you were giving him the attention he was craving he was happy.

“Mmm im considering kidnapping you, so you have to spend all your time with me!” He groans pulling you over so your straddling him and laying in his chest on top of him.

“But who will be the lead in your current favourite TV show?” You gasp playfully.

“No way! Ellen Pompeo is leaving Greys?” He teases, knowing it would tule you up. You slap his shoulder lightly looking down at him.

“Mmmm im sure they could find someone to replace you if I kept you all for myself!” He teases again and you laugh this time.

“Mmmm and I’m sure if I kidnapped you Red Bull would too!” You tease back and he gasps in mock shock hand to his chest.

“Well seeing as we both seem to be staying respectively in our professions… I suggest we order room service!” You smile again, pulling him in for a kiss. He nods, rolling you off and getting up towards where the phone is on the desk. You watch as he used his hands to motion around as he talks to the receptionist on the phone.

You were so completely and utterly in love.

-Ted had been promising you a road trip for forever

-literally since high school.

-And honestly he’s a little scared that if he puts it off any longer, you might actually show up at his front door with a firearm

-So, your post-grad celebration was the perfect excuse to hit the road with you!

-You, and a few other friends (who actually stuck to school while everyone else dropped out to focus on their social media careers) had finally earned their degrees

-So, the gang decided to rent out a house on the east coast for a week to celebrate and finally see each other after having gone basically off the grid for the past couple of months to wrap up finals

-The minute the reservation was confirmed, you were already on the phone with Ted, trying to find plane tickets for the two of you so that you wouldn’t have to brave LAX on your own

-You had the phone pressed between your shoulder and your ear, rapidly scrolling through the website to find a flight that was equally as cheap as it was survivable

-You’d sent him countless clips of public freakouts and doors flying off mid-flight on spirit, but here you were, mouse hovering over the check-out button

“I don’t know dude, it’s literally $45 round trip…” you muttered, anxiously biting the nail of your thumb

 “We will actually fucking die.” 

 “Then we’ll die with dignity. Our final stand against Big Aviation.”

 “Right, of course. Dying by fire is really sticking it to the man.”

-He hears you inhale, about to continue arguing before he finally intervened

- “I was actually wondering if you maybe wanted to drive?”

-The other line goes quiet, and he actually worries for a moment that you’re going to say no

-And then he hears the three beeps signifying the call has been ended

-And his stomach drops to his ass

-ohshitohshitohshitohshitthisissoembarassingfuckshit

-Before he has the chance to spiral too far, the black screen he had been staring at himself in lights up with an incoming facetime

-He quickly swipes and prepares to explain himself but before he has the chance you’re already off on your own tangent

- “Are you actually serious? Because if you’re fucking with me you’re actually sick and twisted.”

-Your face is close to the screen, admittedly looking a little haggard after finals had done you in, hair messy, under eyes dark, and skin pale from not seeing the light of day after basically locking yourself in the campus library for days at a time

-Either way, he couldn’t bite back his smile at the sight of ur cute lil face

- “You’re right, that was mean.” 

-He watches the excitement in your eyes dim and he knows you’re about to hang up-

- “WAITWAITWAIT IM SORRY IM JOKING” he pleads, knowing for a fact that you WILL hang up and possibly even put your phone in airplane mode for remainder of the day

- protecting your peace, as you call it

- luckily, you showed mercy and heard him out

-and very excitedly agreed to him picking you up two days prior to the first day of the reservation so that you could make the 37 hour drive from LA to wherever the fuck the house is (not accounting for stops, of course)

-He was kind of guilty that you guys didn’t have a fun goal or theme for the trip like there have been for others, you assured him you had no problem playing it by ear

-So, before the two of you even knew it, the first day of your expedition rolled around

⋆⁺｡˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚｡⁺⋆

-It was the morning of, and Ted was enroute to your place, braving the two hour ride caffeine-free because you had pleaded with him to get a “fun little drink” from a newly opened coffee shop near your house

-He had been griping at the camera set up on his dashboard in the meantime

-content AND a healthy release so he wouldn’t be snappy once he picked you up

-So by the time he finally pulled up to the front of your house (and grumbled a bit about your shitty parking situation), he was only  little cranky

-But when your front door finally opened after he sent the text to let you know he had arrived, all of it was washed away

-You were bright and bushy tailed, looking like life had breathed back into you after finals had drained you of all your whimsy

-You were dressed comfortably, in an old tank and sweatpants that were a bit too big on you, so you rolled the waistband up

-He pointedly ignored how low they hung on your hips

-After a moment he remembered he had to be filming, and whipped out his phone to film you bouncing to the Tacoma with a bright smile, duffle bag slung over your shoulder

-Your roommate was standing in the door with her girlfriend, both of them with a cat in arm, making their little paws wave goodbye

-Ted laughed, zooming in on them for a moment before your face was right up in the camera

- “Good morning.” you greeted, rather formally

- He gave you a strange look, “...Hi.”

-You stepped up on the truck’s running board and stuck your head into the window, looking for the camera you knew would be on the dashboard,

- “Hi.” you greeted the viewers as well

- “Alright, get outta here” He chided, placing his palm on your forehead and pushing you back out the window, ignoring your disturbed “AGH!”

- “Put your shit in the trunk and let’s get this show on the road!”

-After giving you instructions on how to actually open the trunk, he turned to acknowledge the camera while you loaded your bag up

- “Alright, guys, hostage acquired. We’ve got 37+ hours until we-”

-He should have rolled up the goddamn window. 

-Instead of entering through the designated passenger side door

- you decided to hurl yourself through the driver’s window

-There was a moment of chaos as you tried to climb over both him and the center console, a mess of sharp knees and elbows, all that could be heard was incomprehensible bickering, manic laughter, and an occasional “OW”

-Once you were both settled, rather than providing any further explanation, Ted shut off the camera.

- “So where’s this coffee place you wouldn't quit yapping about?”

⋆⁺｡˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚｡⁺⋆

-After about fifteen minutes and MORE unpleasant parking situations, you finally found yourselves in a very cute cafe with comfy chairs, lots of plants, and a handwritten menu that neither of you could read

“The Lana Del Rey?” you read excitedly,  having taken a photo of the menu so you could zoom in

“I don’t know…” He hummed, reading over your shoulder, “I think I’m just gonna get a caramel macchiato”

-You booed, getting on his ass for not trying something new

 “I just want something I know I’m gonna like, you know?”

- you only disapprovingly shook your head, clicking your tongue

-You two ordered your drinks along with a couple of fun pastries 

-And much to Ted’s pleasure, you ate your fucking words as the two of you watched the barista make your drinks

-The underpaid teenager crafting a beautiful macchiato for Ted, and for you…

- You watched in horror as they cracked open a can of coke, pouring it over the ice in the cup with your name on it, before topping it off with two shots of espresso. 

 “You’ll have to let me know if it’s good! It’s a new menu item, I’ve been a little scared to try it myself” they laughed, handing you the cup of murky, bubbling liquid.

- You took the cup with an awkward laugh and a thanks before making your way back to the tacoma, biting back giggles at the thought of consuming such a concoction.

-When you get back in the vehicle, Ted turns the camera back on with the explanation that the internet NEEDS a review of the Lana Del Rey flavored beverage. 

“Alright guys, we’ve got our little drinkies for the road, but first I think we need a taste test.” He says with a giddy laugh, he’s always been a sucker for kitchen potions, which is exactly what you ordered

 “Our total was $30 for two drinks and two pastries-” you deadpanned

“Thank you Mr. Biden!” you both sang, before breaking into giggles

“Okay, okay, we actually need to taste these.”

- You decided to try Ted’s first, both of you pleasantly unsurprised that the caramel macchiato was decent

-Then you both took a bite of each pastry, thoughtfully humming before trying to explain what was going on

-Then finally, your drink…

-Ted eagerly watched as you gingerly took a lil sip before flinching back, and watched as your expression shifted from disgust to confusion to surprise then back to confusion

-Once you come back to you give him a bewildered expression before going right back in for another sip and going through the process over again

- “Fuckin gimme that” he snatched the drink out of your hand and took a sip himself and had basically the same exact reaction

- You both take a moment to process before,

- “We can share.”

- “Yes, we can share.”

⋆⁺｡˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚｡⁺⋆

-Relative to other trips he���s taken, two days is basically nothing, and goes by in an almost disappointingly quick blur

-He did basically all of the driving the first day, allowing you to relax and enjoy the scenery

-For the first hour you both sang obnoxiously to the playlist you’d been crafting together for years in preparation for your first actual road trip

-Then once your voices got a bit raw the volume was turned down with the intention of having nonverbal time, just for you to go on to yap about basically nothing and also everything (?) for another three hours

-At one point, you get a little cold for a tank top with how cold Ted keeps the truck to keep his sweat at bay, and you unbuckle so you can rummage through the back seat for a sweatshirt, coming back donning a hoodie of Ted’s that he hasn’t seen in weeks. 

-It’s not unusual to see you in  his clothes, but the combination of having gone a while without seeing you and the hoodie reemerging from the abyss left him a little discombobulated

-Definitely does not have to do with how cozy you look, a little flushed from the effort of rummaging in the back seat, your hair tousled from pulling the sweatshirt over your head, and swamped in excess fabric

 “Where the fuck did you find that??”

 “Back seat.”

 “Huh, I haven’t seen that thing in a while. It’s probably been in the back seat for a solid month at least.”

 “Yeah, that tracks. Smells like it.”

 “Fuck off”. 

-Eventually, the conversation lulls to an end and you’re both left in a comfortable silence

-That is, until he hears five quick clicks from the passenger seat

-You both side eye each other for a moment, before you break out into a sheepish smile and pull the pen out of your pocket, holding it out to him

 “You want?”

 “I’m driving.”

 “That’s not what I asked.”

- He shook his head with a smile, “I will later, we’re gonna have all week to be deviants”

“Also, I’m not smoking and driving, you fucking psycho.”

- You only simpered in response, shrugging as you take a drag and blowing it out the window

-once you’re decently high, you lounge in the passenger seat, head comfortably rested on where you have your arms folded on ledge of the window

-dazedly enjoying the scenery and the wind in your hair and blowing on your face as you hum along to the music on the radio

-and ted just smiles to himself, enjoying your company

-relieved that the two of you were able to fall back into sync easily after going so long without seeing one another or talking much

-not because of bad blood or anything, more-so life just taking the two of you in separate directions

-after high school, you’d moved to the west coast for school

-though as proud of you as he was, and as much fun as he had with his own college experience, he wouldn’t deny that there was a part of him that wishes you’d decided to stay closer

-just because he was able to handle the naturally growing distance between the two of you like a mature adult would, does NOT mean he enjoyed it

-during your time apart, he has met some of his closest friends who he would follow to the ends of the earth [threateningly]

-but no matter how hard he tries, he’s never been able to replicate how at home he felt with you

-while he was building up the courage to ask you to come on this trip with him, part of him was worried that it would be different now

-i mean, both of you were grown

-no longer elementary schoolers fighting with stick swords and having sleepovers, or teenagers bursting into each other’s houses and being asked by teachers where the other was when one of you was absent

-and both of you had developed significantly from then

- it would only make sense for the dynamic to have shifted at least a little bit

-and maybe it has

-but he glances over to where you have your hand dangling out of the window, your cheek comfortably squished against your shoulder as you doze off

-and decides that maybe he doesn’t mind

⋆⁺｡˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚｡⁺⋆

-when y’all finally rock up to the motel you’d been planning on spending the night in, you’re both apprehensive

-the bright orange paint smeared on the cement building had become dingy and and brownish, and the office where you checked in had a strange funk to it

-and of COURSE the room only had one bed, which both of you could have tolerated, having done it before without issue 

(you were rated your friend group’s politest sleeper, but ted knew it was only because you sleep like a corpse, dead to the world and unmoving once you’re knocked. but it pairs nicely with ted, who is a notorious sleep talker and tends to toss and turn)

- you anxiously insist (ie FORCE) ted to pull the corner of the mattress up to check for bed bugs (after he had tried to assure you there were none)

-he tries to make you do it, with the excuse that he has to film, but you snag the camera out of his hands and begin filming

-later when he checks the footage, it’s a shaky recording  of him being like “There’s really nothing to worry about, this is clearly a trustworthy establishment” as he waltzes over to the dingiest mattress you have ever seen

-he goes to cockily lean on it, but has he pops his hip and settles a hand on the corner

-a fuckign MOUSE skitters out from under the pillows at the head of the bed, scampering dangerously close past ted’s hand before it hides under the mattress

-resulting in both of you shrieking, ted almost falling as he clumsily stumbles away from the dinky mattress, the camera shaking wildly as it records you leaving him to die and booking it out of the room

-Needless to say, the two of you decide to sleep in the car.

-ted tries to make the best of it, insisting that you guys sleep in the bed of the truck and pretend you’re camping

-he even drives another hour to find a scenic rest stop to settle at

-two find yourselves shoulder to shoulder on the uncomfortably bumpy truck bed, duffel bags for pillows

-after hearing the angry shuffling of your sleeping bag and another huff as you turn over, ted can’t help but open his fat fucking mouth to try and defend the situation

“It’s like we’re old timey pioneer pals, out on the road,” he brings a hand up to reach for the admittedly beautiful night sky (which tracks, seeing the two of you are in BUTTFUCK NOWHERE), 

“camping under the stars, out in nature, reconnecting with-”

-he’s cut off by the not necessarily distant sound of a pack of yipping coyotes

-after the raucous ends, both of you are sitting at attention, nervously looking out at the desolate landscape surrounding you, before looking at each other

-by the end of the night, the two of you end up getting a solid three hours of sleep after you drove another two hours and settled in a walmart parking lot, taking extra precautions by doing all of these strange “lifehacks” you had seen truckers on tiktok using

(the two of you groggily struggled untangling the seatbelts from the sidebars in the morning)

⋆⁺｡˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚｡⁺⋆

-needless to say, both of you were a little grumpy the next morning

-ted insists he drives to the first rest station, the both of you agreeing that once you’re fed and caffeinated that you would do a good chunk of the driving today

-the two of you grab bad gas station iced coffees (ted side eyes you as you grab a concerning number of redbulls as well, but decides against making a comment when you glare)

-he settles into the passenger seat as you sync your phone to the car, so you could use your own gps and listen to your music, and ted would be allowed to catch up on all of the iphone time he had missed while he was driving yesterday

-however, he found himself unable to enjoy the internet

-seeing that he has one hand tightly gripping the grab bar (i call it the ‘o shit’ bar but i think that's the proper name), the other shakily reaching across the center console to feed you the donut holes the two of you had decided to share

-though he misses and smudges some of the powdered sugar on your face, too busy anxiously watching as you weave through traffic at what was definitely an illegal speed

“Dude, watch it!” you grumble around a mouthful of dry, cakey gas station donut

-ted pales when the truck swerves as you take one hand off the wheel so you can take a sip of your watery coffee

“How the fuck do you still have your license?”

-you lips curl into an impish grin as you use one hand to once again shift lanes, and the back of the other to wipe your mouth

“Wouldn’t you like to know.”

-a couple of hours later, ted catches a few text notifications from a familiar number pop up on your phone where it’s nestled in a phone holder on the dashboard

-he glances over and sees you see it, before shifting in your seat, taking one hand off the wheel to bite at your thumb

-ted hums, an entertained grin spreading across his lips as he watches you squirm under the combined pressure of your itch to answer your phone and ted’s knowing gaze, 

“You gonna answer that?” he teases

AND I AM GOING TO PREFACE THIS BY SAYING:

-maybe it’s a little weird how invested he is in your relationship

-in his defense, it was originally his way of extending an olive branch out to you after an extended period of radio silence on both of your ends

-maybe a girlfriend of his wasn’t a huge fan of you (lord only knows why), and at her request the two of you go your own ways for a while

-which sucked, especially considering that the two of you were HYPED to be living on the same side of the country again

-while it was unfortunate, you respected her wishes (no matter how badly part of him wishes you hadn’t)

-both of you were left with an absurdly large amount of free time that usually would have been spent together

-he pretended it didn’t sting to watch from afar as you easily fill the space, making new connections, picking up new hobbies and brushing up on some old ones, thriving at school and working towards your future career

-so it felt like an obscure crossover when his co-host and dearest friend mentioned your name in passing

-maybe ted had been lowkey tuning him out, smiling and nodding as he prattled on, but it was like everything came to a screeching halt when he heard your name come out of schlatt’s mouth

-after making him repeat himself, he ignored the odd twist in his stomach in turn for smugness

-he had KNOWN the two of you would have some sort of connection when he introduced you to one another a while back, with both of you having an affinity for getting under people’s skin a shared sense of vicious competitiveness

-he really didn’t mean to become as involved in your relationship as he had

-Schlatt being into you seemed like his sign from the universe to reach back out to you, both to break the silence between both of you, and for scheming purposes (duh)

-as a messy bitch who lives for drama, of course he was playing both sides

-eagerly listening to you rant about schlatt before getting on call with him to act coy about knowing something that he doesn’t, and doing it the other way around with you

-MAYBE he got in a little too deep when his own relationship began to get a bit rocky, distracting himself with his new mission of hooking up two of his closest friends

-so it really wasn’t his fault that when he finally broke it off with his ex, it was so easy to fill his newfound free time with the two of you

-whether it be with either of you individually, or the three of you hopping online to play games together

-and besides, 

-it would be much more weird if the two of you didn’t encourage it as much as you did 

“Do it for me?” you ask, glancing over at him

-he grins, picking up his own phone to shoot his friend a quick text about being a “d1 cheeser” and provide some updates about how your travels thus far

⋆⁺｡˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚｡⁺⋆

-ted insists that the two of you stop for an early lunch, needing a break from your notoriously bad driving

“I’m not bad, look!” you argue, pointing to the screen, “Could a bad driver shave three hours off of our ETA?”

“That’s insane.”

-of course the two of you make all of the fun stops for any interesting attractions, taking photos and recording some of your little side quests

-trying fun local restaurants when u guys drive thru cute lil towns :’)

-but the hours on the road all blend together, and before either of you know it, you’ve made it to the beach house you’ll be staying at

-the house is empty when the two of you walk in

-after checking the designated groupchat you learn it’s because they’d already gone to dinner, not knowing when you guys would show up

-so the two of you decide to unpack before you go and get something for yourselves

-you follow him up a scary spiral staircase, laughing when he hits his head

-he gives you a strange look when you follow him into his room

-he assumes it’s a force of habit, with the two of you having been automatically designated roommates since elementary school

-but it’s replaced with excitement when you open what he thought was a closet door, 

-but it was a fucking CONNECTING DOOR BETWEEN THE TWO OF UR ROOMS

-it’s a good thing the house was empty aside from the two of you, because your cheering definitely would have disturbed anybody else inside

-technically it was a jack and jill bathroom (both bedrooms have access), but it was still exciting nonetheless

-after unpacking, the two of you set out to find dinner, eventually deciding to just get takeout from a random diner

-you two have had the same fool proof order for forever: ted will get a burger and you’ll get a chicken sandwich (you HAVE to make sure you ask for them to be cut down the middle, so you each of you can have half), one large fry and a milkshake to share, and ted will get a rootbeer while you order a cherry coke

-both of you decide to bring the greasy bag back to the house and eat it on the beach, which is accessed through a small path in the backyard

-the two of you settle on a paddleboard that had been left on the sand, brushing shoulders as you eat in a comfortable silence, occasionally passing the milkshake back and forth (it was ted’s turn to choose the flavor, so ofc he chose oreo)

-you stand up when you finish a couple of minutes after him (he’s always been the faster eater), and he looks up at you expectantly, holding out a hand for you to pull him up by

-both of you break into another fit of giggles when you struggle to haul him up, stumbling backwards and planting your ass in the sand when he releases you

-you make your way back to the house, delighted to see that the lights are now on and to hear the sound of music and your friends chattering inside

-eager to join them, the two of you race back to the house, you win, though ted is hot on your heels

-your friends cheer when the two of you burst in through the back door

-you all exchange welcome hugs and congratulations to the few other graduates who were able to come, before settling on the couch

-it’s a bit of a tight squeeze, but you’re happy to squish yourself between ted and niki, going nonverbal as you enjoy the sound of idle chatter and watch the smash bros tournament happening on the TV

-a little spacey after a long day of traveling, but enjoying the company

-as everyone prepares to head to bed, your phone lights up with an incoming facetime call from schlatt

-the crowd regroups, surrounding you as you swipe to answer

-you don’t even get the chance to greet him, interrupted by a chorus of hellos from your friends

-you grin, content to sit back and listen once more, before your attention is drawn back to the phone when jay calls your name, 

“I should be there tomorrow afternoon. Don’t wash.”

-ted groans from where he’s sitting next to you, 

“You two are sick.”

-you only laugh, “I’ll keep it ripe for you, babygirl.”

-ted pretends to retch when schlatt brings the phone close to his face, aggressively ‘sniffing you through the screen’ before throwing his head back with a groan

-with a final giggle, you bid him goodnight before hanging up and heading upstairs

-ted showers first, both of you knowing that he takes less time and won’t use up all of the hot water on you (this was a hard lesson to learn, ted having had to take an unreasonable amount of cold showers before coming to the conclusion that he just had to go first)

-he’s laying in bed, his laptop propped up on his stomach as he edits some of the footage from the drive

-he looks up when he hears the connecting door open, finding you in the doorway in your pajamas with wet hair

-he raises an entertained brow, 

“You’ve washed.”

“Dude, I smelled like an abandoned chuck e cheese.”

-he makes no move to correct you as you crawled onto the bed like you owned the place, settling across from him on your designated side and scrolling on your phone

-both of you are content with parallel play time, but when it hits 1am, he glances over and finds you knocked out, phone resting on your chest as it gently rises and falls

–he grins, taking his phone out to snap a picture, unable to resist an opportunity to catch you lacking

-he goes to send it to schlatt, but pauses, his finger hovering over the send button for a moment

-it is objectively strange to send his best friend (your boyfriend) a picture of you sleeping in his bed

-and if it was anyone else, he was sure he wouldn’t dare

-but if it was anyone else, you wouldn’t be in his bed in the first place

-he decides to send it

-laughing when he receives a text back not even a few seconds later

-he places his phone on the bedside table before reaching over and tearing the pillow out from under your head and whacking you with it

-having to thwack you a couple of times to wake you up

-when you do, you slowly sit up, groggily wiping your eyes with the back of your hand

“What is your problem?” you grumble, turning to blearily glare at him

-he really has no clue how your hair manages to become so wild the minute your head touches a pillow

-especially considering that you couldn’t have been sleeping for more than an hour, tops

“You gotta go.”

-you stare dumbly up at him, and he can practically see the cogs in your brain turning as you struggle to wake back up,

“What?”

“Go!” he laughs, bringing the pillow up to whack you again, but this time you block it, “Begone!”

-you stand up on wobbly legs, 

“Jesus, fine. I’m going.” you mutter, shuffling towards the door

-you pause in the doorway, turning to face him, 

“I’m keeping this open.”

-he’s unable to bite back another knowing smile, you’ve always had trouble sleeping in unfamiliar places without somebody by your side

“Fine. Now go on, git!”

-he watches you pad into your own room sending him a pathetic look over your shoulder before crawling under the blankets

-and admittedly, you do look lonely in that big bed

-all by your lonesome

-but before he gets the chance to conjure up any other courses of action, you turn off your light

-ted follows suit before rolling onto his side and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean outside and the faint sound of your even breathing from across the hall

Tbh I think the most logical and realistic theory to why RBR is pushing the lestappen agenda so much more than Ferrari is that it just benefits Max more than it does Charles. Charles is already like an angel to the F1 community. He’s EXTREMELY well liked across all fans. No one genuinely dislikes him (there are trolls that hate on him to annoy the lecfosi but otherwise). Unfortunately Max doesn’t have that same luxury. He’s seen as an evil jerk by probably a good half of the F1 community (although it’s improving). Being seen having such kind and gentle interactions with Charles helps soften that reputation. And the only drivers whose interactions with Max get this much attention is Charles and Daniel. However, I don’t think Daniel has the same positive effect on Max’s reputation that he used to, or at least not as much. Not since he got his seat again at another’s expense, and even more so after he got the contract renewal instead of Liam Lawson. The general view of Daniel is still positive I’d say, but not nearly as much. Plus, when Max and Daniel interact on behalf of RBR, it just excludes Checo and looks more like a different agenda, which pisses some people off even more and doesn’t help anyone. Charles on the other hand, there is literally no negative side effect to their interactions to be widely seen, so RBR is going to take advantage of that.

yes, this is also a strong theory in my mind! the added baggage around doing it with daniel these days is a good point. charles is unproblematic and has great star power on the grid and that’s why all the top teams like to flex their charles interactions on social media (not just rbr).

i think charles comes with the added bonus that he has never really spoken badly about max and clearly approves of his (controversial) driving style. last year, the friendly rivals “full of respect” narrative that rbr was big on was a dig at lewis for sure, but it was also about max being seen as friendly/fun at the height of a (brief) title battle. especially when rbr (or christian) still gets some good press for “defending charles more than his own team” (every time ferrari fucks up, the chrisrian horner quote goes around? great staying power for rbr). yes, there was the austria 19 scuffle (and the great lestappen unfollowing) but everyone talks about that in a fond way now because of the change in their friendship since. and austin is a good example (“no i don’t mind max trying to punt me to dallas, i - an angel! - would do the exact same”).

i think it also benefits rbr to suggest that they might be able to get charles. yeah, it’s unfortunate for the Look if they can’t get him (and suggests that even the best car can’t lure whoever they want), but this is charles. the suggestion that they’ve even been able to get him to consider it for longer than a second is powerful, precisely bc no one thinks charles will ever leave ferrari (and many think rbr would be the last place he’d go, because of their “bad” rep).

charles benefits from it too, imo. rbr was definitely driving it and charles seems more passive with it (liked the merc tweet, but not rbr — which i think is more about the “mr russell” joke than merc). the padel date is new buy in. for him, it’s useful to suggest he has options elsewhere — but i also think max’s reputation benefits him for the exact opposite reason (suggesting he’s not just a “soft” angel and is in fact as brutal and deranged as max on track, given the chance).

so. yeah. there’s also a very strong plausibility that this is all just rbr capitalizing on rehabbing max’s reputation and charles taking the extra bargaining leverage with ferrari.

you’re so right. max literally cares soooo much about what charles thinks of him. when anyone has anything bad to say about max, he doesn’t really care, has a short and cold response to it, or just laughs it off (if it’s someone he knows doesn’t mean it, like lando joking “max ruins everything”). point is he doesn’t really care that much. however, a few years ago an interviewer asked charles what was annoying about max and they made max respond to it, which is so weird but we roll anyways lol. charles goes “annoying? i don’t know. i guess he can say weird things to the media. but that’s okay, he has personality. personality is important.” (this isn’t an exact quote but it’s along the lines of what he said!). he barely even says anything bad, and he immediately compliments max right after. however, max got so upset about it. he immediately goes “I DON’T CARE WHAT HE THINKS!! >:(“ he took it much deeper than he usually does about not great comments toward him. whole country booing him? he doesn’t give a fuck. charles says a barely insulting (not even) comment? he takes that shot so personally 😭 it just shows how important charles’ opinion is to him. fascinating….

And I'd like to throw in my own two cents here, because there is absolutely something truly marvellous about how Max could not give less of a fuck about what other people think of him, no matter who it is. But with Charles? There is some deeprooted urge within him, a desperate desire for Charles' approval, that just gives him a whole other response to anything that may even be slightly interpreted as negative if it comes from Charles.

Your example with that video of Charles being asked if Max is annoying, and Max's clearly bothered response is excellent. Had that been anyone else — a reporter, another driver, literally anyone who is not Charles Marc Harvé Perceval Leclerc — he wouldn't even have batted an eye. Hell, he probably would have grinned as if whoever it was had just given him a massive compliment. But because it was Charles, and because Max for some reason decided that Charles was sort of insulting him (even when he absolutely was not — quite the contrary, the way I personally view it), just gives away just how much Charles' opinion of him means to him. And that is a huge deal, given how Max Emilian Verstappen is very well-known for not giving a flying fuck about what other people think of him.

I think a lot of this boils down to the fact that it's Charles. The guy Max has fought against for most of his racing life, the boy who grew up alongside him in karting, the guy his own father believed was predestined to fight him on track forever, even in F1. (Which is high fucking praise from Jos Verstappen.) Max and Charles have been tied together for as long as Max can remember, and for as long as they're both competing in the same league, Max will think of Charles as the rival to beat. He will think of Charles as the one driver on the grid with the biggest chance of giving him a proper fight, even when he so clearly can't.

Take this season, for example. We haven't gotten to see many battles between Max and Charles for obvious reasons (Ferrari being absolutely abysmal for most of the season), but the few times we have gotten to see it? Max will go fucking wheel-to-wheel with Charles as if they're both in the running of winning the WDC and the winner will be decided based on who comes out victorious out of that particular turn. It doesn't matter that Max knows that he's going to get past Charles. It doesn't matter that Max knows that Charles won't actually be able to fight him for a race win unless Max is starting from far back on the grid and Charles isn't. It doesn't matter that Max knows the car Charles is driving and the strategies his own team are throwing at him aren't up to par. None of that matters, because fighting Charles Leclerc and seeing him as his biggest rival is so deeply ingrained into Max's entire racing identity that he will treat every battle he gets against Charles as if it's a battle that will decide the title even if it fucking kills him.

And that right there? That deep-rooted respect and admiration for Charles? The same kind of deep-rooted respect and admiration Charles has for him? That connection that has taken them from "hating" each other in karting, to civil colleagues in F1, to an actual, genuine friendship that they so clearly both treasure incredibly dearly, as proven by the blatant shift in the vibe between them recently? That's the reason as to why Max, despite clearly not giving a flying fuck about what anyone else thinks of him, will always care about what Charles thinks of him. That's why Max goes to such extreme lengths to behave differently around Charles than he does with any of the other drivers, and why he treats Charles so differently from everyone else. Because not only does Max know and respect Charles' boundaries and his preferred way of being treated, but he wants to do it right. He wants to exist within the same space as Charles and do it well. He wants Charles to enjoy and look forward to their interactions as much as Max himself does. And to this day he craves that approval from Charles as much as he probably did when they were kids, but back then he was too hot-headed and stubborn to realize that the "hate" he felt towards Charles was actually nothing more than the excitement and slight fear of seeing such a massive part of yourself reflected in someone else — someone you were supposed to hate.

I've seen it mentioned so many times in different posts on Tumblr, but it's absolutely true what they say: Max is so much softer around Charles than he is around anyone else, and treats Charles with a sense of care I am yet to see with any of the other drivers. Which, to me, is such a testament to just how much he values Charles' opinion of him.

Big brother izuku and his little sister Eri. They are adorable. They could kill you and you would thank them because, honestly, if they decided to do so, there is a good reason for it.

Izuku is Eri’s favorite person, and he is literally overjoyed when she tells him this. She finds him when she has nightmares, and he is always ready to comfort her and assure her that everything is, and will be, okay

Izuku stands up for Kaminari after people start making fun of him when he short circuits. He makes sure that he’s okay, and protects him from any harm that could befall him. After that, Kaminari too, pledges his soul to the green demon

Monoma tries to hide the fact that he does care for izuku, but after izuku fucks off for his vigilante arc, Monoma has a mild breakdown along with most people who have interacted with Izuku in recent months. Where is the class a bastard? Why is he not here? Why did he think this was a good idea? Why didn’t he ask for help? Why is he putting himself in so much danger? If he had asked literally 90% of UA would be at his side in an instant

Mei decides that Mr. 1 million is great after he helps her with her babies and helps her tests them. She decides that he’s even more reckless than she is after his solo mission where he goes off the grid for a while and tries to hunt down the worst super villain known to man. But hey, who is she to judge? She’ll support this mad man and help make all the tech he needs as long as he partners with hatsume industries, and she knows he will, because he’s great and definitely meets her crazy

Momo realizes how great Izuku is after he helps reassure her after she lost her fight at the sports festival. He finds her and talks about how great her quirk is and how smart she is. They are paired up for a project one time, and completely dominate. They help build each other’s confidence so much. I literally love these two so much, they’re both smart and insecure as shit. Momo loves listening to izuku’s analysis and makes comments every now and then too, and izuku just dies inside because he’s not being told to shut up or being called weird

Jirou always walks into the dorms on Saturday mornings asking for song recs. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, izuku makes her a playlist of some rare songs that she might not have heard yet, and Jirou promises that she would burst eardrums for this dude

Speaking of the dorms, when they are set up, the quirk becomes so much more powerful. Like, everyone already loved izuku, but now? He is their son/brother/cousin/nephew/crush/whatever the fuck, they care about him.

One time, he got to talking with toga, and soon enough, she’s spilling her tragic backstory Shouto style. *another one bites the dust plays in the distance* izuku has a new sister. Congratulations, everyone, a new member of the Izuku Protection Squad/Club has been found (I know this probably wouldn’t happen in Canon, but I love toga so much and if given proper quirk counseling and/or caring parents, she would have found her way into the izucrew. I stand by this and my mind will not be changed.)

Mina teachers izuku how to deal with his curly hair. She was appalled when she found out how he used to take care of them and makes it her mission to fix this tragedy. But she also really helps with his confidence. I love this duo so much, the chaos that they reign on UA is great.

Izuku is one of the first people to treat dark shadow like their own individual entity, and Tokoyami is shook. Sometimes, dark shadow, Tokoyami, and izuku hang out at night when they can’t sleep. So does anyone who wakes up from nightmares and can’t go back to sleep

Now. Aizawa was terrified of Nezu getting his hands on izuku’s analysis notebooks. He still has nightmares about how it happened, honestly. But one day, izuku was called out of class by Nezu and Aizawa honestly wondered if he should hand in his resignation. It took mic to convince him not to, but mic was also terrified of what would befall the world after Nezu got his hands on either izuku or momo (which we’ll get to in a moment). After a very long and interesting conversation with izuku, Nezu requests that he be shown all of izuku’s notebooks.

His laughs can be heard echoing across the school. Shivers go down spines. The sun hides behind the clouds.

Izuku tells Nezu that sometimes momo will do analysis with him, and that she’s a really great strategist, just lacks confidence.

Again, Aizawa feels his world tip on its axis as momo yaoyorozu is called into the principle’s office.

Soon, they are both appointed as nezu’s personal students, meeting up twice a week.

No one knows what goes on during those meetings and no one has the Gaul to ask.

Except Mina. But she doesn’t get a real answer from either of the students.

Koda loves that izuku is the first student of UA that he can comfortably communicate with through JSL, other students start learning after a few weeks though after learning that it’ll be easier to communicate with izuku, koda, and present mic if they can, and they don’t want anyone to feel excluded!

Sero loves pre-quirk era superhero movies, and overhears izuku talking about them one day. Immediately runs over and asks if he knows spider-man. He does. They need out about it for hours. Izuku overheard someone saying that Sero is, “plain looking” and stands up for him,. Sero is sinfkwnfitjsjks. Izuku tells izuku that people say the same thing about him, which Sero honestly cannot understand, because this boy is obviously precious and deserves the world. Yes, he could easily destroy said world, but if he decided to do so, he’d definitely have a reason and sero would support him

Izuku is not sure how he went from having one (1) person (his mother) care about him, to having a whole fleet of people who have his back 1000%, and he honestly struggles to accept that people genuinely care about him. Shouto theorizes that it’s a quirk first. He blatantly says that izuku has a quirk that makes people want to adopt him in some way, shape, or form bur shouto’s conspiracy theories are never taken very seriously by most people. He will never let them go though. He’s right. He knows it.

It's only March and it scares me that people are already freaking out about FK's partnership 🫠 I was thinking that the lack of promotions right now aren't a bad thing? Actually the opposite? They had the fanmeet in Brazil, they'll have another one in Rome, both of those sold out their tickets. They have one in Manila as well, they've been flying a lot. Isn't it good that they're at least having a bit of time to rest? Perhaps next year's promos will depend on how well the new series will do. But seeing all this comments makes me anxious 😰 I think FK are so loved and they have a good fanbase, they seem to still be very happy together and interested in doing more things as a duo? Or do you think not really?? Have I been delusional in thinking that them resting is good 😭😭😭😭 especially now that we know First is taking on a new degree, like you said.. 😕😕

I’m certainly not worried about it. I don’t like that they make them do those events anyway. The sponsorships I don’t mind so much because that’s money in FK’s pockets, but the fan meets every weekend has always seemed a bit much to me.

My surprise comes more from the fact that GMMTV decided not to milk them like a cash cow after Only Friends, but I’m grateful for it. And aside from the month where they were both literally on vacation, I feel like they’ve actually been pretty active—at least for them.

I think the problem stems from people having different ideas of how much access they should be allowed to have with their faves. This is especially evident over on Twitter, which is why I don’t spend too much time there. I remember during FK’s month-long break, a lot of the fans were literally throwing a hissy fit. There was a whole campaign where they were tagging GMMTV and accusing them of negligence for not booking FK at events and like…they were resting???!

I know Twitter skews younger and a lot of them probably don’t understand what having a job entails and I also understand that eastern fandoms have always allowed fans more access to actors than I’m used to as an American, but things like that still rub me the wrong way. These boys don’t get weekends or holidays off. Even when they’re not working, if they’re out in public, they always have to be in work-mode. Let them go off the grid when they want to.

Anyway, all that to say that I agree with you. My comment about them maybe taking on more individual roles next year had nothing to do with me questioning whether they wanted to keep working together or whether they would have the opportunities to do so. I just personally wouldn’t mind seeing them in other things, too. They are still two of the biggest actors at GMMTV and seem to be booked for events as often or even more often than bigger names like OffGun. They’re just quiet on social media because they’re introverts. I’ve seen nothing to suggest they want to stop working together. In fact, all evidence seems to suggest that they would be really sad to have to work with anyone else 😂

For that like Fernando is not a whole grown ass man in his 40s. Fernando is not the type of person to hang around with someone he doesn’t like, and you can clearly tell that he loves Lance. I’ve seen Fernando fake a smile before, and when he’s hanging around Lance, that smile is definitely not fake. Also, people make it out like everyone on the grid hates Lance just because they don’t see him talking with everyone. No, they don’t hate him, but they aren’t friends with him.

I just don’t get why people are hating on Lance, Logan, and all the other non-white or non-European drivers when there is people who literally done so many bad things. There are people on that grid or related to the drivers or even dating the drivers that genuinely don’t deserve their platform, but instead, they focus on the people who have done nothing to deserve the hate they’re getting.

I actually DMd Aston Martin, Williams, and Vcarb and said that they should do something about the hate because I know that they are able to, they just don’t want to. Anyway, I told them that they should do something about the hate and while I haven’t really seen much on the Var and Williams comment sections, I’ve seen so much in the Aston Martin section.

I wish I could be the social media admin for these teams because none of these people would be allowed to say whatever the fuck they want under my watch. Because these drivers are human beings. With feelings, blood, organs, and bones. They are not some toys for you to say whatever the hell you want to. If people have that much bad stuff going on in their life, they should take it out on a journal or in some type of sport, not online to a person who barely cares about them.

I heard that even Aston Martin’s reserve driver likes hate tweets about Lance because he wants his seats so badly. I’m not completely sure if he did, but he also had plenty of opportunity to go to other teams and drive for them. He was offered a seat on another team, but he refused and decided to stay AM’s reserve driver.

I have never been one to sit here and think that all of Harry’s relationships are PR stance but Olivia was so obviously a PR stunt to promote their movie. It was genuinely so obvious that you couldn’t not see how manufactured it was. The same thing is happening with Taylor. Now a lot of fans are going to start coming for me, but it’s the same thing as him and Olivia. They were doing the exact same thing. They are going to the busiest parts of whatever city that they’re in and walking around getting their photos taken. It’s the same thing that he was doing with Olivia. People called him out on how they were never holding hands when they were together and now they’re magically holding hands. It’s also not a coincidence that every time they’re saying together some thing of theirs needs to be promoted. Whether it’s Taylor’s play, or anything that’s happening with pleasing, or now the Loewe campaign  that Taylor just did. Now, if you don’t think that this relationship is fake and if you think it’s real, that’s fine however, you can’t another they’re using it for publicity. Harry is smart. He’s not stupid. He knows that if he wanted to keep this relationship quiet. Walking around Oxford Street with your roommates girlfriend isn’t the way to do it. He knows how to be quiet and go on notice. He was literally ghost for two weeks before this Think it’s real or think it’s fake, but it’s definitely being used for publicity. No one was really talking about Taylor Russell before this and now everyone’s talking about her. No one really cared about her play before this now everyone cares about it. A lot of it resembles the whole Olivia and Harry thing, it's like they are reading what to do from a manual and just repeating it bc the first time worked the way they needed it to work, so this time it has to work too, they don't even try to change and make this things better bc they know there's this one group of fans that will bend over backwards to defend any possible relationship he is in, and attack whoever doesn't believe it, and like you said Harry and pretty much any celeb can't afford to go completely dark, some celebs to avoid that, maybe become more active on social media but that's clearly not Harry's thing, so they go for other routes and this one works like a charm bc like you said once again they are being talked about quite a bit, I wouldn't say Taylor was completely unknown, she wasn't super famous but she did get recognition for a recent role she had, but she's still growing in the industry so this certainly helps both of them a lot, and keeps their name on tabloids.

i used to watch f1 when i was a little kid; i was obsessed with cars and so i was once scrolling through channels on the tv and happened upon f1 and me seeing cars it was pretty simple that i started watching; i was doing it purely because the cars looked cool lmao and i enjoyed the racing, and because i had little ferrari collectibles i cheered for ferrari; no one from my family was into f1, so i didn’t know much about it nor any of the drivers and just watched the cars going round; ‘hamilton’ was just a name on the screen, which in hindsight is honestly hilarious; then i kind of stopped watching it for a long while apart from the occasional race; but what actually got me back fully was covid, dts, and the 2020 season but i wasn’t really ‘teamlh’, i just loved lewis...and then obv the 2021 season happened and it spiralled from there and now i’m literally ride or die for him lmao…

Tell me one of the reasons he brings you joy. Like what can he do that brings the biggest smile on your face?

actually it’s something my mum once mentioned about him which really stuck with me, she called him gentle, which i think really describes him well and it’s this gentleness and vulnerability that he always displays in his interviews, his bright smile, the way his eyes light up, honestly whenever he’s happy, or speaking about smth he’s passionate about, it just makes me happy…and his smile is just so infectious!

but also when people appreciate him, when he realises that he’s loved (that interview in abu dhabi last year broke my heart when he said he always struggled with accepting love and he’s learning how to now); like it’s so hard to come by when everyone is praying for his downfall, but when he realises that there are people cheering for him (in spain when he jumped onto the barriers and people were cheering for him…yeah i teared up)

properly i’m going to say mid-way through the 2021 season, my friends and i were following really intently and so i got really invested in discussions w/ them + started following what was happening on social media

i’ve too many, but off the top of my head tho:  receiving his brazilian citizenship, post-race whenever he wins at silverstone (him crowdsurfing and celebrating with fans), there’s too many videos for me to post but they’re on f1fullraces and toto, lewis and val racing the gtrs

Oh jeez…there’s a few like 2021 brazil is obv iconic™️ but some other absolute favs: turkey 2020 (for obvious reasons), hockenheim 2018 (from p14 yk), silverstone 2008 (THE mclaren lewis performance) and tuscany 2020 (i love rewatching it + that podium was fucking iconic)

First thing's first: Clueless Vampire Grandpa? DEAD accurate.

The man literally came back from dementia and when I tell you it fucking shows I mean it. I mean for god's sake he still has a fucking ROTARY phone in the rectory- and a fucking ICE BOX rather than a proper fridge. Not to mention the fucking ANTENNA TV (It's... my man how did you live???). He's off the fucking grid as far as tech goes.

But like... ofc he sees Warren with his phone all the time like he knows what they are (oh my god side headcanon: altar boy era Riley showing the ol' Monsignor how to play snake on his fucking nokia I'm crying brb). And at some point after his de-aging (probably either while he's still in the holy land or like... in the ongoing "everyone lives" au I have in my head-in which case I'm the one buying the thing for him) he figures he ought to get one. To blend in, you know? And he's kinda curious. Like it looks really cool when you use it.

And he's vERY grandpa about it. "Ah. Will the wonders of modern technology ever cease?" Yeah ok you giant cheese ball.

Obviously the boomer energy is off the charts. Like. It's all fun and games until you have to spend the whole fucking day teaching him how to navigate on the fucking thing.

OFC you offer to plug in all your handles for him but he says "NO! I want to do it. I want to make you my first friend." (bless his sweet sentimental heart he sees it as a courting gesture my man it's not that deep but my god it's so fucking cute 🥺🥺🥺)
