Been listening to the Hamilton soundtrack again, and I can’t get over how perfect the tone of “That Would Be Enough” is for Sabine comforting Ezra after he finds out how long he’s been gone and how much he’s missed:

SO excited to see how Marceline is gonna react to Simon’s decision. Like. Simon is so deep in his own shit he has NO IDEA how angry she would be if she knew his plan. And there have been a lot of nods to this. I think it’s very intentional that we the audience saw little Frozen Marcy, but Simon didn’t. He’s not thinking about her right now. Her absence in these universes feels so pointed, ya know?

I mean think about Farm World. We know that in the Farm World universe Marcy guarded Simon’s body for a THOUSAND YEARS. She never left his side, lest the crown fall into someone else’s hands. She went mad with only the memory of his voice to keep her company… but he doesn’t know that. He doesn’t seem to fully understand what his transformation did to her.

It’s not super clear how much they’ve talked about it, but knowing both their characters I’m wondering how open Marceline was about her experience with the Ice King. How she could never get through to him even when she cried and pleaded. That she held onto Hambo for a thousand years. That she constantly watched him hurt the people she loved. That she was such a stranger to him that he tried to KISS HER??? Did they REALLY talk about it? Would he be throwing away his second chance if he knew how badly it would hurt her?

“All Simon ever wanted was to see Betty again”. And all Marceline ever wanted was to have Simon back. It’s what Betty wanted too.

I cannot WAIT for the reckoning.

I won't forget again.#They are evil dumbass 4 evil dumbass and I think we are all missing out on the sheer potential of the comedy between these two.#They have way too much power and are using it for the wrong reasons - which makes them truly great villains.#And when things don't go their way they become piles of whining sludge.#Wang Lingjiao is forever fascinating to me even though we only get crumbs about her.#She's a servant girl who's greatest asset is her beauty and her attractiveness.#Meaning she's had a life being in the gaze of people with significant positions of power over her.#I can't help but read her childishness and petty tantrums as someone who has finally been given the chance to not feel powerless.#If she was a more virtuous type we might 'like' her more but honestly...I don't think she would have survived to this point.#WLJ has only known power hierarchies her whole life. Probably accused of seduction before she even understood what that meant.#I love contrasting her with mianmian because they have similar(ish) backgrounds but different approaches to moving forwards #But WLJ's story is about flying too close to the sun and mianmian's is about going too close to the water.#Like the sea mist dragging her down into complacency - all the sect powerplays are mandatory to 'go along with' if she wants to climb-#-the social ladder. Yet she is the cautionary tale (and a foil to JGY as well) she leaves before sacrificing her own morals.#Mianmian flies away with her wings only slightly plucked while those who sacrificed everything to reach for the top crash and burn.

Papercraft Ed! I had the sketch for this one finished a while ago, but for whatever reason didn’t feel quite happy with it. Eventually I tried flipping it to face the opposite way - meaning his automail arm was now facing the viewer and could be shown via rips in his clothes and gloves - and then BAM, I liked how it looked after all! Sometimes it’s the simplest things that make all the difference.

Yak deserves all the praise for continuously checking in with Dee throughout the night during sex, but I also want to point out that Yak kept apologizing to a drunk and passed out Dee because he knew he was violating his privacy.

He apologized when he was trying to figure out where Dee lived and even though he smiled when he picked up Dee's phone, he still apologized.

Which makes me think that this conversation isn't all about Yak's dick.

Yak is used to people being intimidated by him. He is a fighter. He is a scary guy.

But Dee doesn't give a shit.

Yak is annoyed that Dee doesn't know who he is.

But how nice must it be to not immediately get the normal reaction from Dee that he probably gets from others.

Yak doesn't threaten Dee with violence in the bathroom, but Dee, who is in the wrong, still argues with Yak as if he is the one who is annoyed.

But, even then, Yak makes it clear that he isn't a mean man.

Which is true.

Yak is as kind as he can be in those circumstances. He apologizes to a person who is not awake to hear those apologizes. He carries Dee to his home. He fully intends to leave him once he gets into the place. He checks in throughout sex. And he asks if Dee is scared.

Of his dick? Yeah, he directly asks that, but also of him, to which Dee sizes him up and firmly establishes that there is really nothing to be afraid of.

Because feisty Dee is actually the scary one here when pissed off and the only reason he was "vanilla" was because he wanted Ter to believe he was vanilla, but Yak has proven to the gentle giant.

But nobody ever gets to see that.

Except Dee.

was looking through old pictures and found this drawing I did. We were discussing what Pokemon Jimmy would be and I wanted to say Absol but pre-evolved. So here is my pre-evolved Absol. It's Jimmy

#because Absol is a pokemon that warns of disasters. But got mistaken to be BRINGING disasters and hated as a result #something something Canary. Not the same thing but Jimmy being treated similarly unfavorably and the disaster/warning theme #and the fact that Absol can mega evolve into a form in which it appears to have wings but cannot actually fly #And I love the idea with my Jimmy that even if he may never be able to fly. he doesn't need to and that doesn't change his worth #Mega absol is also the only mega evolution to not be in pain. Instead Absol deeply dislikes fighting and mega evolving as a result #something something Jimmy's failure to ever be too mean but seeming to slowly get a taste for slapping people around as he deserves to #If Jimmy were a Pokemon he'd eventually EVENTUALLY hit a breaking point and mega evolve and then kill and then never again #he would find peace after that. I hope. And no longer be treated with any stigma #Only when he finds peace can he be proper Absol though. Until then he is a little fucking creature #um I also think Eevee is very fitting though. Eevee Jimmy goes hard too.
