Ooh how about 19 please? 😍
Absolutely! Also this made me check under my bed for cameras or you because I had in fact not eaten today because I am ill and hadn't psyched myself up to go make it, but I have since rectified that fact dfklgjdflkgjfd
ANYWAY, on with the prompt!
prompt list here!
19. “Have you eaten anything?”
It had been a long and hard week in Seattle for Beca. The call had come in the middle of the night, leaving her to scramble out of bed and hastily cram some clothes into a bag before heading to the airport.
Her mom was in an accident. It looked bad, really bad. Her aunt had told her that she had to get here just in case. So she did, she put all her flight anxiety to oneside and sat in the metal death tube for five and a half hours, flagged down a cab, and went straight to the hospital.
She got there just in time to say goodbye to her mom, sat squeezing her hand tightly as the life support machine was turned off, sobbing into her shoulder as she lost her mom for good.
As her next of kin, Beca now had to figure out what to do with all her mom's stuff, organise the funeral, inform the members of her family what had happened. She emailed her professors to explain she needed a few weeks off and they were thankfully very understanding, the Bellas had offered to drop everything and come out to help her but she turned them down. This was her responsibility, her mom, she had to sort this whole mess out.
"Have you eaten anything?"
Beca sniffed softly as she shook her head. She had been sat on the front porch of her childhood home, staring vacantly out at the street, barely noticing the chilly wind that bit at her skin. She had grown up in Seattle after all, she was used to this kind of cold.
"No. I'm not hungry."
There was a soft sigh from above her before the porch creaked next to her, turning her head slightly to look at the woman now sat beside her. Chloe gave her a small, sad smile, tucking a loose lock of hair behind Beca's ear. It was limp and a little greasy, Beca having been far too busy and lost in her grief to even entertain the idea of a shower since she'd arrived in Seattle.
"You need to eat Becs. You've barely had anything since you got here."
"I know." Beca swallowed thickly, subtly shifting closer to Chloe so she could rest her head on her shoulder, "But everything makes my stomach turn."
"You want to try some soup?" Chloe offered, winding her arm around Beca's shoulders, giving them a gentle squeeze.
"Maybe." Beca nodded a little, "That could be nice."
They sat in silence for a few moments, Beca curling more into Chloe's embrace, slowly trying to get as close to her as possible. Chloe didn't mind, it was one of the reasons she had insisted on coming with Beca. She knew how difficult Beca found it to open to people, to be emotionally vulnerable with anyone, the only other person in the world that Beca would be this close too, figuratively or literally, was her mom.
"I don't want to go tomorrow." Beca's voice was thick as Chloe felt the side of her neck where her face was buried start to grow damp.
"I know baby..." Chloe sighed softly, rubbing small circles on Beca's back and kissing the crown of her head, "But you have to. You'd never forgive yourself if you missed the funeral."
"But if I go then it'll be real..." Beca whispered, "She'll really be gone Chlo, I... I don't want her to be gone, it's not fair."
"It's not." Chloe shook her head, feeling Beca start to shake as her gentle tears turn into sobs, "You're right, it's not fair that she's gone. I wish I could change it for you."
Beca didn't say anything for a while, simply sobbing in Chloe's embrace. Chloe stroked her hair, shushing her softly but letting her cry herself out. She hadn't cried since the hospital, and that had been five days ago. Beca was really good at bottling her emotions up until they exploded out at the wrong moment, and with a loss of this magnitude, if she crammed it all down it would destroy her. So Chloe would let her feel everything that she needed to, let her be angry or sad or irritated or tired, or even a combination of the above, and not take it to heart, because at the end of the day at least Beca was feeling something.
"I'm really glad you're here." Beca croaked as her sobs subsided, sitting up a little as she wiped at her face with her sleeve and resting her forehead against Chloe's, "I... I wouldn't be able to do this without you. Thank you for coming."
"Of course." Chloe smiled at her brushing her hair from her face again, "Even though you insisted on me staying at home?"
"Yeah." Beca managed a small grin in return, "I'm glad you didn't listen to me."
"C'mon." Chloe took Beca's hands in hers, gently encouraging her to her feet, "It's cold out here, your hands are turning red. Let's get you something to eat inside."
"Okay." Beca nodded, "Would you be mad if I said I wanted pizza and not soup?"
"No." Chloe grinned, arm around Beca's waist, "What made you want pizza instead?"
"Mom and I really like this place a few blocks away, they do these insanely good cheesy garlic knots." Beca shrugged a little, expression getting watery again, "I just... I thought it would nice to share that with you."
"That's really sweet Becs." Chloe beamed at her, "I'd like that."
"Cool." Beca swallowed thickly, eyes roaming over the familiar interior of the home she had grown up in, feeling that ache settle in her chest again, "I wish she got to meet you Chloe. She would've loved you."
"Me too." Chloe nodded sadly, "I never got to thank her for giving me you."

Not so patiently waiting for confirmation that there's more to this???? Please???!
Here's part two!
This was becoming too long so I divided it and can confirm that there will be a smutty part 3 😘
Wrong Number
Part 2; →Part 1
Words Count: 1.261
Rating: T (ish)
That girl is crazy about you
CR’s words kept echoing in her mind and gave her a pleasant twitch in her stomach. She laughed to herself, is this what people feel when they talk about having butterflies? She wore an uncharacteristic bright smile for the rest of the day.
The next day she didn’t meet Chloe around the house at all and they didn’t really interact other than a short exchange of texts:
Beale: My room 9 pm? 💕
Beca: I’ll be there 💕
Beca’s heart was beating so fast she thought she was gonna die while she was waiting in Chloe’s empty room, the only light being the bedside lamp the redhead used to read in bed. When the door opened up and a gorgeous Chloe carefully walked in biting her bottom lip, Beca flew on her feet rising from the bed, her heart speeding up even more. She wanted to say hi, to tell Chloe how beautiful and adorable she looked, but she was too nervous and all she could manage was “I'm with Jesse" Chloe’s face fell, turning into a mix of hurt and confusion. Her mouth was hanging open as to say something but she was only able to suck in a shaky breath and hold it. Beca felt her heart break at that and she kicked herself for how bad she could communicate when her brain froze like this.
She closed her eyes to compose herself and cleared her throat “I mean... I am still with Jesse and that text was meant for him but" she said reaching out to gently wrap her fingers around Chloe’s wrist and look into those baby blue eyes filling up with tears the redhead was fighting so hard to keep from falling down her cheeks “but I think I am in love with you" she added inhaling shakely. Chloe’s eyes widened letting the tears escape “and I wanna do things right, I wanna take you out and figure things out together and... when I finally get to be with you, I want to be only yours" she explained, suddenly scared that all Chloe wanted was a one night stand, just for fun. But the way Chloe cupped her cheeks looking into her eyes shortcut her brain and she stopped thinking all at once “I really want to kiss you right now Becs" she whispered through her tears “but I can wait” she added smiling softly at her.
The next day Beca talked to Jesse and broke up with him. Jesse cried. Beca cried too. The guy told her he would need some time, but would be happy to stay friends once he’d be ready and Beca was glad about that, because Jesse really was important to her. He confessed that he always feared Beca could be feeling something more than friendship for Chloe and added that he appreciated her honesty before leaving.
The brunette didn’t think that seeing Jesse cry because of her would have hit her this hard, but she guessed it made sense, after all he had been her first serious boyfriend other than one of her best friends.
When she arrived home the house looked empty, so she decided to curl up on the couch and work on some new mixes. She took her laptop and headphones out of her bag and dived right in. She took the habit of wearing only one headphone so that she could be always aware of what was going on around her, it wasn’t the ideal condition for mixing but Amy had this game where she enjoyed attacking her and scare her to death every time the girl had both headphones on, so it became a sort of survival instinct for her. That’s why she noticed right away Chloe entering the living room and smiled brightly at her. She still felt sad about hurting Jesse, but she also felt free. Free to feel that warmth wrapping up her body at the sight of the redhead, free to feel the butterflies filling up her stomach the instant the girl smiled back at her, free to feel everything she was feeling for Chloe in that moment.
Chloe sat down besides her “hey you" she whispered while Beca was saving her mix before closing her laptop “I broke up with him" declared the brunette with a vulnerable voice “how hare you feeling?” asked sweetly Chloe tucking a brown lock of hair behind her ear “I don’t know" answered honestly Beca, looking at the redhead with furrowed brows, she wanted to apologise for not being euphoric or just for not knowing how to explain the mess of mixed emotions she was feeling.
“You know Becs, I think should tell you” she stopped, looking unsure “I should tell you how I feel about you too...” she paused again, taking in a deep breath to gain some courage, Beca’s heart started hammering in her ribcage and she wasn’t sure she was breathing, staring deep into Chloe’s eyes while she started speaking again “I am so in love with you that sometimes I forget about anything else in the world, you’re all that matters to me, Beca and... and I know this might be too much to handle for you but I-I just want you to be happy, please just let me do that” Chloe’s eyes were shiny and Beca desperately wanted to say something to her, to assure her that as long as she’d stayed in her life, she would have been the happiest girl in the world, but the lump in her throat didn’t let her speak, so she decided to show her instead.
Beca shifted on the couch to face the redhead and tentatively started to lean in holding her breath. Chloe cupped her cheek without rushing her, just following her movement. When their foreheads touched Beca stopped and closed her eyes “you’re not breathing” chuckled Chloe caressing her cheek. Beca let the air escape from her nose with a chuckle of her own “just give me a second okay?” she asked standing still. Chloe moved away just enough to look at her “why are you so nervous?” she asked biting her bottom lip “I don’t wanna lose you" confessed the brunette “you’re never gonna lose me B-" Beca crushed their lips together at that and Chloe was more than happy to kiss her back with the same energy.
The kiss was desperate, the release of all the tension both girls had kept in until that moment. They couldn’t have enough of each other’s mouth. Chloe’s fingers had moved to lightly scratch at the base of Beca’s neck while her other hand was on the girl’s waist, holding her close. Beca’s hands were mapping Chloe’s back while the girls kept nibbling and sucking at each other’s lips and tongues.
They didn’t notice the front door opening up until they heard Cynthia-Rose gasp “woah! Okay, next time go in one of your rooms, no one wants to see you getting busy on our couch!” Chloe broke the kiss and almost jumped on her feet, afraid that Beca could freak out for being caught “copy that" answered calmly the brunette wiping her mouth. Chloe looked at her in shock “what?” she asked laughing “why aren’t you freaking out?” “I might have talked to her about this" she confessed while the third Bella was going upstairs “what?” gasped Chloe in disbelief “yeah it was a weird conversation...” trailed off the brunette clearing her throat “nevermind. Will you go out on a date with me?” she asked grinning.

Werewolf beca is so awesome it needs a part three
you guys asked for it soo, here it is!! thanks! the last part (probably?)!
here are part1 & part2
Beca wasn’t used to this. She wasn’t used to feeling this way, wasn’t used to feeling this damn dangerous, like one wrong move could potentially hurt, or even kill, the person she loved the most. Even during a full moon she usually managed to do just fine, having found her anchor years ago. She wasn’t used to feeling like this, unable to control her body, even her emotions and imagination going to places she’d never wanted them to. Her instincts were quite literally running wild and she was struggling to breathe as she was so desperately trying to keep herself and Chloe safe while all she wanted was to lash out, to hurt.
But then she felt a hand on her cheek, all soft and gentle and, looking up, she found that the redhead was looking at her all the same, loving and perhaps even trusting, as if she didn’t know that Beca would be able to kill her in less than a second, with one stroke of her claws, one bite. But Beca was going to be okay, knew she was when Chloe then went on to smile at her. Even though Beca flinched away from her touch, even though she growled, Chloe kept looking at her, putting so much trust in her that she wanted to cry.
There would have been something quite beautiful about the whole situation, Beca thought, if she had just been able to stay calm, if everything hadn’t felt so intense and fragile at the same time.
“Beca-” Chloe’s voice was barely above a whisper, tender and careful and everything Beca loved about her. The brunette knew that the other girl wanted to say more, that she had been waiting for this exact moment, that this was just as overwhelming for Chloe as it was for her. But despite having all of these things she wanted to say, Chloe came to a sudden halt, breath hitching in her throat.
Beca barely remembered when she had wrapped her arms around Chloe’s neck, barely even noticed when her claws broke her friend’s delicate skin, wounds now where she had wanted to brush her lips against instead. Only when the blood came trickling down her own arm, only when Chloe winced, Beca realized what she had done. And it broke her heart when Chloe, despite everything, still didn’t pull away, still didn’t run or even move to the other side of the room. Her friend still trusted her more than ever and so Beca was the one to pull back, to scramble away from the other girl in an effort to get some distance between the two of them.
Chloe, however, didn’t seem to understand, simply following her, blue eyes never leaving Beca’s yellow’s. It was then that the brunette realized that while she could possibly lose herself in the oceans that were Chloe’s eyes, could possibly drown, they now also quite literally acted as an anchor, one that she could hold onto, the only thing keeping her sane.
“Get Aubrey!” Beca’s voice was harsh, desperate, begging for Chloe to listen to her for once and not be blinded by how much they usually liked each other, how safe they could always make each other feel. Because right in that moment Beca didn’t feel like herself, not in the slightest, and she knew that Aubrey was definitely the only person who’d be able to calm her down again.
But of course Chloe was shaking her head instead of nodded, taking a few steps closer instead of running out of the door, her lips curled upwards. She didn’t even pay attention to the blood still running down her neck, reaching out for Beca instead.
“Becs, it’s okay-”
Her voice was still so much more loving than Beca could handle, so much more than she could grasp. And so she had to compensate for it with her own words, sharp and angry.
“I hurt you, Chloe,” she growled, hitting the wall behind her as she started to feel her anger rise again. And still she was unable to hide the sadness in those few words. They were laced with guilt, soaked in it. And all Beca could see was red as she flashed her sharp teeth at her friend. She wanted to scare her, wanted Chloe to see her as the monster she could be. “Go get Aubrey.”
And finally, Chloe nodded. She still didn’t look frightened, didn’t look like she’d, not even for one second, believe that Beca was actually going to hurt her. But still, she was nodding as she made her way towards the door. The brunette was sure that she could see her shaking slightly as she turned to face her again.
“You didn’t hurt me, Beca. It’s okay.” And with that Chloe left, doing as she was told and leaving Beca to deal with her agony.
Their room was a mess by the time Aubrey strode through door, trying to keep Chloe behind her in a clear effort to protect the other girl. They soon found that it was unnecessary, the place being a mess, but Beca being herself again, now curled up on her bed, tears brimming in her eyes as she stared at the broken table, the blood stained wall. Her fists had healed themselves already, but the red liquid had stayed as a terrifying reminder of how she had lost control once Chloe had left.
Chloe, who was quickly approaching Beca now, making her scramble away. “Don’t! I could hurt you…”
Beca could tell that the older girl was worried, just wanted to help, but she simply couldn’t take that risk. Not again.
“You didn’t hurt m-”
It was Aubrey who coughed awkwardly, trying to pull the attention to Chloe’s neck that already looked quite infected by now. She knew that she was simply going to heal it later on, but for now it was a reminder that perhaps Beca was right.
“Chloe…” Aubrey tried, but Chloe was already with Beca, hugging her tightly as some tears started to run down her red cheeks.
All of them unknowingly held their breath as the sudden tension engulfed them, neither of them knowing what was going to happen next. It was only when Beca hugged her back, incredibly carefully, that they all exhaled in relief.
“Are you going to be fine?” Aubrey asked as she watched her friends, smiling when Beca nodded in response.
“I don’t know what happened, Aubrey. It’s never been like that before…it was just, it was all so intense, I didn’t know what to do…” Beca sounded small, guilt still written all over her face, but Aubrey smiled at her reassuringly.
“It’s okay, we’ll just hav-”
Before they knew it, Chloe had jumped up again, now hastily making her way to her closet, basically bouncing with excitement, as if something had just suddenly hit her. As if nothing of this had even happened, as if everything was fine.
“Alright, I know how to help. It’s all in the books I’ve read-”
Neither Beca nor Aubrey were able to understand the rest of that sentence, Chloe’s voice now muffled as she seemed to struggle with something. And soon enough, she was approaching them again, carrying a huge pile of books and a just as huge smile plastered all over her face. Because she’d been right all along.
“What?” she grinned sheepishly when both Beca and Aubrey shook their head in amusement, looking at her in a way that could only be described as absolutely loving and completely smitten.
“Nothing, you’re just adorable.”

Bechloe mini-fic series: ‘Frank Turner universe’
A Bechloe fic that follows Beca and Chloe's relationship through Frank Turner's music, which will include multiple situations throughout time. Such as title and lyrics' songs inspiration to write simple one shots and mini-fics regarding one concrete topic.
I find Frank Turner's lyrics and songs are such a great and potencial source of inspiration to think and write about Bechloe, so I guess I'll jump on it. This first part will be a mini-fic series based in that poster Beca has in her atic room at Bella's House and we saw in Pitch Perfect 2. My idea is to set the two of them through the attendance of 4/5 Frank Turner's live shows throughout the years she shared in Barden to the ones they share in their present life (set between 2013 and 2018), so it will be a short chapter-fic. I hope I achieve my purpose.
Frank Turner related: I will be linking all the songs I mention on the posts to Spotify's link so you can listen to them if you feel like it. I will also link Frank's profile on Spotify. I invite you to listen to him in case you didn't know him. If I was the one who discovered him for you: it's a pleasure. Share his music and his talent, he's really awesome. Share, be kind to each other. Everything I mentioned was thoroughly searched, so it's all well documented. Everything (Atlanta show, venue, price of the ticket, etc) happened as you read it.
Being serious now. First of all: it's the first time I write something this long in English, which is not my native language. I struggle with a lot of insecurities when it comes to write or express myself in English, so sorry for the occasional typos in case there are any.
And second: thanks for taking the time to read my random shit and thanks for reaching this far! Also, feedback is much appreciated!

Reaching over to Beca’s side of the bed, Chloe reached over and turned the lamp off.  “Goodnight,” she chirped, her return apparent to Beca when she felt warm lips brush against hers as the older woman returned to her side of the bed.  “What?” Beca said, in obvious surprise.  “I said good– ahh!” Chloe’s response was interrupted by an abrupt change in lighting as Beca turned the lamp on her bedside table on.  “What was that?” Beca asked plainly.  “What was what?” Chloe said, feigning innocence, her eyes shining.  “You, acquainted your lips...” Beca said slowly, pausing for a beat. “With mine,” she finished softly.  “Yeah?” Chloe asked, as if she was just coming to terms with what she just did. “So I did.” Dead silence. “Would you like me to do it again?” was softly whispered into the dark.  “Yes,” the answer breathed.

“Why Chloe? Why this girl? You could have anyone you wanted. You could do so much better than this, this Beca,” John Beale said, gesturing his hand back towards the house from the back garden where he and his daughter had escaped to continue their argument.
“Because she sees me Dad,” Chloe responded, her voice wavering as she spoke.
“All those guys you thought were good enough for me, they all had qualities that you think are good enough, but they’ve never given me what I need,” she explained, watching as her fathers eyes softened. He was listening, really listening.
“Beca doesn’t just do the things she thinks she needs to do to be a good girlfriend, she does all the things she knows I need without being asked.”
Chloe gazed down and twisted the promise ring on her finger, the one Beca had gifted her for their anniversary.
“When I’m having a rough day, she doesn’t force me to talk about it. She just holds me to let me know that she’s there when I’m ready. When she knows I’m stressed out, she’ll make sure that lunch is sent to my work place or that dinner is ready when I get home so I don’t forget to eat because I’m too busy worrying about everyone else.”
Chloe chuckled a little remembering the time Beca had rocked up to the vetinary clinic with a Taco Bell bag in her hand asking to be tipped for delivery services with a cheeky wink.
“She leaves little notes in my vanity mirror every morning, inspirational and motivational quotes she’s stolen from Instagram to get me pumped for the day cause she knows they make me feel good.”
John Beale stood there and listened to his daughter ramble on and on about the list of things Beca did for his daughter every single day, and with every one she listed off, his resolve waned just that little bit more.
“We can talk without saying a word, we move in the same direction without having to guide each other. Every single day when I call her she always answers with ‘Hey Beautiful’ or ‘Hey Gorgeous’ because she wants me to see myself the way she she sees me.”
By this point Chloe was wiping away tears that had rolled down her cheeks as she thought of all the ways Beca Mitchell more than proved her worth.
“I never have to ask or question if she loves me cause I feel it every single day. It’s in every touch, every word. Everything is always thoughtful and considered.”
By this point John Beales once stoic posture, had softened, his set shoulders now relaxed Chloe gazed up into his eyes and in that moment he no longer saw the little girl that needed him to protect her, he saw the strong resilient, beautiful woman she had become.
“Beca may not have a lot of money, or a stable family, and she may still be working on building her career but I believe in her dad and I love her so, so much and she loves me. That might not be enough for you but it’s everything to me.”
With that Chloe tipped her head and turned to walk back inside the house, when through the silence she heard her fathers voice.
“Then Beca Mitchell is perfect for my daughter.”
In that moment, Chloe turned around and she saw the genuine smile on her fathers face and jogged back to him, wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him tight.
Chloe Beale would always be Johns little girl, but maybe, just maybe, he could share her with Beca so they could both love her the way she deserved.

Beca was told she needed new business cards for the updated label name, so she ordered them. Nobody said that they had to include contact details.
She's still surprised that they let her pick the name flicker for the label. Somehow no one has picked up on the fact that it looks like the word fucker when it's written in all capitals.
Except Chloe. Chloe knew straight away. As soon as Beca suggested the name she knew there was no sentimental value in that name and that Beca was just trying to be a brat to the label partners for making her do so much paperwork to create this new musical beast.
They veto'd so many of Beca's name choices that she felt like the choice wasn't actually hers at all. Chloe's barely seen her during this process and she's just glad that it's basically over. It's too late for them to change it now, even if they do realise.
The label's business partners aren't trying to make things difficult and they are reasonably nice people, however they've put a lot of money into this new location and setup, so they had put quite a lot of pressure on Beca to get it done fast. The name she's chosen is just a little win for all the extra hours and missed time with Chloe.
Chloe could've helped out earlier and made Beca pick a different name, but unfortunately for them she loves her girlfriend, brattiness included.

How about: “we’re stuck in this never ending loop, you keep coming back. just stop.” “stop what?” “coming back.”
Angst incoming!! Hurt my heart a little with this one I won't lie djlksdjlkgjd
broken trust prompts
Chloe unlocked the front door to the Bella House, a warm feeling in her chest. It had been months since she had last seen the Bellas, letting them think that this was the year that she had actually graduated, but she had instead tanked her Russian Lit exam again to compete with them for the third year in a row. They were her family, how could she just walk away and move on with her life? Besides, it meant that this way she could stay close to Beca, something about the short, smirking brunette pulled her in, intrigued her, made her want to stick around just a little longer. She was going to be so excited to see her.
In fact, this early before the start of the new school year, Beca would be the only one home. She stayed behind in Georgia over the summer break to work at the radio station (much to her father's chagrin) and had simply kept living in the Bella House while she did rather than having to have found a temporary apartment. Chloe was so excited to see her, to spend some quality time with just Beca before the Bellas joined them.
"Honey, I'm home!"
"Jesus!"
The living room was dark as Chloe stepped into it with a huge grin, Beca's startled voice coming from the direction of the couch. The lamp clicked on, revealing a dishevelled looking Beca hastily buttoning her shirt, a slightly annoyed look on her face as she unstradled the waist of the sophmore that she worked at the radio station with.
"Chloe? What the hell are you doing here?"
"Sorry." Chloe giggled, wincing a little as she realised what she'd interrupted, "I didn't realise you'd have company!"
"Yeah, well I wasn't exactly expecting anyone to barge in on me two weeks before the start of term." Beca frowned, Chloe feeling the warm feeling start to dissapate as she realised there was no amusement in Beca's face or tone, simply irritance and a degree of anger, "I thought you'd actually graduated this time Chloe, why are you here?"
"I tanked my Russian Lit exam again..." Chloe shrugged, feeling a blush start to creep up her neck as something akin to shame washed through her, "I wanted to stay with you guys, keep competing with the Bellas, I... I just wanted to surprise you."
"Yeah well you certainly did that..." Beca scoffed.
"This feels like a private conversation..." The woman Beca had been making out with got off the couch, adjusting her skirt with a sheepish smile, "I'll text you later Bec."
She kissed Beca's cheek as she left, Chloe feeling something make her stomach twist as she did. She had no right to be jealous, it wasn't as if Beca was doing something wrong, they were nothing more than friends. At least, she thought they were anyway...
"Why are you mad at me?" Chloe asked as they heard the front door shut, feeling tears start to well in her eyes. This was not how she had expected the day to go at all.
"Maybe because you keep intentionally failing your exams to sing acapella?!" Beca raised her eyebrow, "Or you don't tell anyone that you're doing it again?! Or that I finally felt like I-"
Beca cut herself up with a shake of her head, lips pursed angrily, arms crossed over her chest.
"Why do you keep doing this Chloe?"
"Because you guys are my family." Chloe bit her lip, "And we have so much fun competing and spending time together, I didn't want to give that up."
"Oh my god..." Beca rolled her eyes heavily, "Grow up Chloe! Aubrey still sees us but she also has a life, you're the one clinging to your college years, it's just sad!"
"Becs..." Chloe pulled back a little from Beca, nostrils flared as a tear slipped down her cheek.
"You keep doing this, you keep coming back and acting like it's not that different, that it's not kind of pathetic that you're failing deliberately because you're too chicken shit to be an adult and have a life!"
Beca was shaking as her own angry tears burst forward, hands clenched into fists by her side. She hadn't meant to go off on Chloe, it wasn't that she hated her or anything, but seeing her after she thought she might finally get to move on had caused a level of pain and frustration that she didn't know it was possible to feel.
"We’re stuck in this never ending loop, you keep coming back! Just stop!"
"Stop what?" Chloe was exasperated as she yelled back, not understanding where all this anger had come from.
"Coming back."
Beca sagged a little as she saw how heavy her words had landed on Chloe, running her hands through her hair as she shook her head. She didn't want to upset Chloe, or be mad at her, or hurt her in anyway, but she'd had enough. Had enough of swallowing her feelings for best friend, had enough of Chloe's drunken flirting that she didn't remember in the morning (or at least pretended she didn't), had enough of the frat boys that Chloe trotted in front of her. She didn't want to hurt Chloe, but Chloe kept on hurting her.
"Chloe I..." Beca sighed heavily, "Do you even like me?"
"Of course I do." Chloe cried, "You're my best friend, I love you!"
"No..." Beca could feel herself getting frustrated again, "I mean do you like me. Do I occupy your thoughts all day, do I make you feel invicible and vulnerable all at the same time, do you love me?! Because I love you... I love you, and I've been trying not to for years because it fucking destroys me, and every time I think I get to move on, you come right back to taunt me all over again!"
"Becs..." Chloe looked horrified as she stepped towards her, but Beca took a step backwards from her, "I didn't... I never... I didn't mean to hurt you."
"I know." Beca whispered, "I know you didn't, but you did and I... I can't keep doing this Chloe. It is killing me to just be around you and pretend that I'm not feeling all this intense stuff. I finally found someone that I can be somewhat normal with without feeling guilty about doing it right in front of you, and you show up again..."
"I'm sorry..." Chloe shook her head, "I really am Becs, I'll... I'll stay in a hotel until the semester starts, find an apartment, take my make up exam early-"
"Stop it..." Beca groaned, "Stop... stop shaping your life around other people Chloe. If you want to stay here, then stay. If you want to compete with the Bellas again this year, compete again. I'm not going to stop you."
"I don't want to hurt you any more than I already have..." Chloe's arms wrapped around her own waist, sniffing softly, "I really never meant to Becs."
"I know." Beca swallowed thickly, "But I can't help but notice you never answered my question, which is an answer in itself I guess."
"What question?"
"Do you love me?" Beca's jaw clenched, scanning Chloe for any kind of visible reaction, "Not as your friend but... do you?"
"I..." Chloe stammered, opening and closing her mouth, trying to find the words, "I don't know."
"Then you don't." Beca swallowed thickly, wiping at her cheeks with the back of her hands quickly, "Which is okay, you don't have to, you can't help it if you don't. And I don't want us to stop being friends Chlo, but... it's a little hard being around you one-on-one, and I think it's going to take some time for it to not be weird."
"Beca, you're my best friend..." Chloe sighed, wanting to hug Beca but knowing that this was absolutely not the time, "And I do love you like my best friend, I just don't think I'm in love with you... I'm sorry, I'm not gay, I wish I realised how much I'd been hurting you."
"It's okay." Beca shrugged, forcing a tight smile, "I um... I'm going to Holly's tonight so you can get settled, we can start Bella prep next week if you want?"
"You don't have to brush this under the rug Becs." Chloe frowned, shaking her head a little, "We can talk about this."
"No offense, but I really don't want to." Beca snorted a little, "Not tonight at least anyway. I just want to do a little underage drinking and makeout until I forget this whole conversation even happened."
"Okay." Chloe nodded, knowing better by now than to force Beca to have a conversation she wasn't ready to have, "But why don't you get Holly to come back, I can stay in a hotel until the other Bellas are back, I don't want you to feel uncomfortable because of me."
"It's fine." Beca ran a hand through her hair again, grabbing her satchel and jacket that she had dumped by the sofa when she and Holly had come in, "This whole thing kind of killed the vibe in here anyway. I'll um... I'll text you tomorrow or something. The Bellas will be really happy you're here again Chloe, they love performing with you. God knows what kind of mess I'd make of the choreo if you weren't here."
Chloe didn't say anything else as she watched Beca leave, wanting to run after her but not knowing what she'd say. What was there to say after that? After she had broken Beca's heart without even realising she had, after she had accidentally led her on for almost three years at this point, after she had been so insensitive to her feelings. How had she mess things up so badly?
She sank onto the couch with her head in her hands, heart heavy, a sick feeling in her stomach. Beca hated her now, resented her coming back to Barden when all she wanted to do was move on with her life. She'd had a point, Chloe was afraid of moving on after Barden, afraid of not having the safety net of the Bellas to catch her, but... what if being hurt only Beca more?
What was she supposed to do now?

A/N: may I present you the third and smutty final chapter of this mini fic I started writing as a joke and turned out to be something you guys actually like
(This chapter can also be read as a single oneshot... if you're only interested in smut) Enjoy 😘
Wrong Number
Part 3; →Part 1 →Part 2
Words Count: 3085 (1905 words of smut, oops)
Rating: E (for very explicit oral sex, oops again)
Beca was nervous. She decided to take Chloe at Wynn Park for a pic nick, but now she was second guessing everything. What if that wasn’t enough? What if Chloe wanted a classic first date? Maybe she should have taken her to some fancy restaurant and maybe have found a car to drive her there or something.
“Becs, what’s wrong?” asked Chloe bringing her back to the reality, she sounded upset, annoyed maybe, Beca was spiralling. “w-what do you mean what’s wrong? Nothing’s wrong. Ev-everything is fine" she stuttered and Chloe let out a puff of air “you are not here” pointed out the redhead bothered by Beca’s weak attempt at hiding it “look, if this isn’t working and you changed your mind, just tell me okay? We can stay friends if that’s what you want” she added in a sweeter tone not hiding a little sadness in her voice “NO! No I don’t wanna be friends” rushed to clear out the brunette and Chloe raised an eyebrow amused and a little taken aback by how stressed out Beca was “you hate this, don’t you? I ruined everything” stated Beca looking down at the blanket they were sitting on.
Chloe reached out to stroke her arm “I don’t hate this, it’s just... you don’t have to be so nervous, it’s just me" “I know but... this isn’t a proper first date, I should have taken you to dinner-" “Beca. You know me, you know this is a hundred times better than a boring restaurant for me. Besides, all I really want is to be with you" assured her Chloe and Beca’s heart felt warm, the hint of a smile started to appear on her lips as she asked “you sure you don’t want me to play by the book?” “just follow your instinct and we’ll be fine. Also, if you make me wait until the third date I’m gonna kill you" scoffed Chloe “I mean we can wait for as long as you want, just... just not because that’s the stupid rule" she immediately added making Beca laugh “follow my instinct huh?” asked Beca moving closer “mmhm" confirmed Chloe wetting her lips, her chest rising and falling in anticipation “my instinct is telling me to kiss you right now" she mumbled stopping right before their lips touched, Chloe’s laboured breathing washing over her face gave her goosebumps. She stroke her hand on Chloe’s thigh, up over her hip and stopped on her waist, pulling her even closer. Chloe’s eyes were already closed “then kiss me" she begged against her mouth before Beca finally closed the space between them.
This kiss was different from their first one, it was slow and deep, their lips parting and coming back together while their tongues were almost constantly brushing against one another. Beca didn’t know how she ended up laying on top of Chloe between Chloe’s thighs, their fingers were intertwined above the taller girl’s head, while she kept alternating between pushing her tongue into Chloe’s mouth and sucking the redhead’s one in hers. Chloe was wearing a light summer dress, that had ridden up her thighs a little due to the rocking motion of Beca’s hips against her.
The sound of a bird flapping its wings reminder to Beca that they were in the middle of a public park, so she slowed their kiss to a stop and looked down at Chloe panting, she looked back at her with hooded eyes and swollen lips, a sight that made Beca’s interiors burn. She sucked in a ragged breath starting to move back and offering Chloe a hand to follow her movements until they were both sitting down in front of each other.
“Maybe that went a little too far" she offered clearing her throat “not for me" answered Chloe giving her a look that made the blood boil in her veins. “Chlo...” she whispered trying to catch her breath while Chloe’s fingers run up her wrist and the inside of her arm with a feather light touch, she swallowed hard when the redhead bit her bottom lip and looked at her innocently, as to ask what was the matter. She was sure Chloe knew exactly what she was doing to her but she tried to explain “we are in public” panted out the brunette “I know" whispered Chloe, starting to kiss down her neck and throat. Beca’s head was spinning so fast she thought she’d pass out, but she found the strength to stop the redhead “Chlo I promise you, being arrested isn’t funny, I know something about that” she tried to joke “but I want you" breathed Chloe in her ear. Something inside Beca snapped at that “let’s go home" she ordered firmly.
They made out some more during the ride home but Chloe was starting to push her limits again, adventuring her hands in places that made Beca squirm. “It was so hot when you took charge earlier” Chloe whispered in her hear before sucking Beca's earlobe into her mouth sending shivers down her spine. She closed her eyes and took a couple of steadying breaths before turning to Chloe and whisper to her “I’m not going to fuck you in the backseat of a damn taxi, Chlo" “I know" answered the redhead with a mischievous smirk.
If Beca wasn’t on cloud nine right then she would have been so mad, Chloe was just teasing her and having too much fun doing so “you’re gonna regret all of this when we get home" she warned her “is this a threat or a promise?” asked Chloe smiling brightly at her and Beca grunted, Chloe was able to turn her own punch lines against her and frustrate her even more, she didn’t stand a chance at this game “you’re cute when you’re frustrated” chuckled Chloe “well you’re always cute, so..” shot back Beca as if it was an insult making Chloe laugh and kiss her cheek.
When they arrived home Beca slammed Chloe against the front door and they started a heated make out session, which was cut short by a complaining Stacey opening up the door “is this the way to knock-" the tall girl’s sentence was interrupted by two bodies falling against her “WHAT THE HELL?” she gasped in surprise “wait...” she said staring suspiciously at them “were you two making out against our door?” she asked squinting her eyes, the two girls awkwardly tried to ramble something, which totally gave them away. “AMY" shouted Stacey with a grin and Beca shot her a look between annoyed and pleading but didn’t have the time to say anything “I suddenly want a smoothie, can you come with me grabbing one?” “I don’t know man, it’s on the other side of campus, it’s gonna take us forever” shouted back Amy from the other room “I’m buying” she offered “thank you" mouthed Chloe “you’re buying” she hissed to them before the Australian appeared and walked past them and out of the house. “The house is empty, have fun" winked Stacey and Chloe hugged her quickly thanking her again.
Beca and Chloe were alone, in Chloe’s room, on Chloe’s bed, kissing deeply. Chloe was on top this time, her arms pushing down on the mattress to hold herself up while she rocked between Beca’s parted legs. Beca’s hands were everywhere – mostly on Chloe’s ass – inciting her thrusts.
Chloe looked up at her smiling before descending her body, she pushed Beca’s thank top up and started to kiss her newly exposed skin making Beca arch her back. She kept kissing upwards taking the top up inch by inch, until she arrived to the black bra hiding her target. Beca’s chest inflated with every shallow breath the girl took in, Chloe raised her head to look at her again and find Beca's darkened eyes set on her, waiting for her next move. The redhead pulled the bra down and wrapped her lips around a stiffed nipple making Beca gasp and press her chest up into Chloe, her left hand flew up to interlock into red hair, while the other one was closed into a fist in the sheets. As she moved to the other nipple Chloe reached around Beca’s back to unlock the bra and removed it from her, and started kissing in the valley between her breasts. Beca bent her head to kiss her forehead and Chloe’s heart skipped a beat at such a sweet action in such an arousing moment, before removing her top to continue her journey moving to kiss the brunette’s neck.
Beca guided Chloe’s left leg past her right one, to let the redhead ride her thigh, now bent between Chloe’s legs, her hands slid under Chloe’s dress to stroke her thighs until she reached her ass again squeezing it and guiding her moves while they resumed their kissing.
After a while Chloe moved to straddle Beca’s hips and Beca started to kiss and nip at her neck, her hands moving up on Chloe’s body taking the dress along until Chloe decided to sit up resting her hands on Beca’s abdomen. Beca was looking at her in awe, both girls were breathing heavily and had dreamy smiles on their faces. The brunette sat up to quickly kiss Chloe lips again before slowly remove her dress, Chloe lifted her arms to help her slide it off of her and then wrapped them loosely around Beca’s neck while the brunette’s hands found her bare waist, rising goosebumps all over her skin. Chloe was looking down at her with so much love and desire that made Beca tremble.
Beca’s focus easily shifted from Chloe’s eyes to her breasts that were just mere inches from her face, she gently kissed the top of one of them and then the other's, before mirroring Chloe’s previous actions pulling her bra down to reveal her hardened nipples. Chloe quickly got rid of the piece of clothing and Beca bit her lip bringing her hands up to cup Chloe’s breasts and gently push them together before taking one of them into her mouth and sucking on it, which caused Chloe to inhale sharply in surprise and arch into Beca, holding her close with both hands in her hair. Beca’s hands moved around Chloe again, lightly scratching her back, while she kept licking and sucking at Chloe’s breasts. When she gently bit on her nipple Chloe hissed and her hips trusted into Beca while her grip in her hair tightened, the brunette looked up to meet Chloe’s eyes while licking at the offended nipple “fuck" breathed out Chloe tilting her head back.
Suddenly Beca flipped them, pushing Chloe’s back into the bed “you said you like when I take charge huh" she whispered in her ear and without waiting for a response she moved her left hand between Chloe’s legs, gently stroking her through her panties, while her tongue was on her nipples again, the action gained a moan from the redhead who instinctively spread her legs further to give her more space. She could feel the fabric soaking beneath her fingers, so she shifted to suck at Chloe’s pulse point and slipped her hand into her pants “Beca...” moaned Chloe as she started to spread her juices on her clit, Chloe’s hand grabbed her wrist “Beca wait". Beca froze and removed her hand immediately. Chloe smiled at her kissing her cheek “don’t worry, everything is okay... I just don’t wanna come in my pants” she explained her with a chuckle and Beca released the air she was holding in her lungs smiling back in relief “yeah I’d like to get rid of these jeans too" she agreed moving away from Chloe while their removed their remaining clothes.
They were kneeling naked in the middle of the bed, kissing and hugging, wandering hands exploded every inch of skin they could find while muffed hums and soft moans echoed in the room. Beca pushed Chloe down into the bed crawling on top of her while Chloe spread her legs to welcome the petite girl between them and they resumed their kissing, before the brunette started descending her body leaving wet open mouthed kisses on her skin “God, you’re so beautiful” she whispered gently stroking Chloe’s legs once she reached her navel and sat back on her heels. Chloe smiled at her biting her bottom lip, the redhead’s legs were bent at the knee and Beca couldn’t stop herself from looking at her pink centre, Chloe didn’t shy away from her gaze and reached down to squeeze the brunette’s hand redting on her left thigh, which made Beca look up “you okay?” checked the redhead “yeah...” whispered Beca mesmerized, unconsciously wetting her lips.
The brunette started to move in a trance, leaving a trail of kisses descending Chloe’s right thigh until she reached her groin, making Chloe part her legs even more while tightening her grip on Beca’s hand, then she moved up her left thigh “Becs...” whimpered the redhead and Beca bit down at her flesh before soothing it with her tongue “Beca please” begged the redhead out of breath and Beca decided to give in, she pressed the flat of her tongue on Chloe’s centre and slit it up to her clit, staring into her eyes “ohmygod" choked out Chloe pressing her head in the pillow and shutting her eyes.
Beca readjusted her position wrapping her left arm around Chloe’s thigh and sliding the other one beneath her and leaving it to rest on Chloe’s stomach, where the redhead reached out to hold her hand again. She closed her eyes and started making out with Chloe’s pussy, the filthy sounds coming out from Chloe spurring her on. She started slowly, taking her time to explore and taste her; alternating gently sucking to languid laps against her folds, and then speeded up to circle her clit and strongly sucking it into her mouth. Chloe’s hips started to rock against her face and Beca decided to just stick her tongue out and let the redhead ride it for a while until it easily slipped inside, making both girls moan. Beca pinned the girl down as best as she could and started to thrust her tongue in and out of Chloe’s wet centre making her cry out loudly, she felt the girl’s inner walls tighten around her tongue and briefly wondered if it would be too embarrassing to climax without even being touched.
Chloe’s thighs were clenched against her ears, but Beca could still hear her loud moans. When she realized that Chloe needed her deeper she replaced her tongue with two fingers and smirked at the way Chloe’s hips shot up, after having given her the time to adjust to her presence Beca started to slid her fingers in and out with increasing speed and curling them while sucking at her clit again “fuck! How can you be so good at this?” gasped Chloe on the edge and Beca almost replied with some sarcastic comment about her just following her instinct but didn’t dare to stop until Chloe came hard under her mouth. She slowly slipped her fingers out and licked her clean like nobody ever did before “baby, come here" whispered Chloe running her fingers through Beca’s hair and the younger girl felt like she could cry at the pet name, she ascended Chloe’s body leaving kisses on her way until she was facing the redhead. Chloe wiped her chin before kissing her, moaning when she tasted herself on Beca’s tongue.
“Sit on my face" whispered Chloe against Beca’s lips “what?” asked Beca in shock, her stomach twisting in excitement “I want you to ride my face" “a-are you sure..?” checked again Beca trying to breathe “so sure” confirmed Chloe playfully biting Beca’s lip and tugging at it. Beca swallowed hard and moved to hover above Chloe’s head facing the wall, when Chloe stuck out her tongue to lick through her wet folds she had to hold herself up against the wall “Jesus" she gasped “this isn’t going to last long, I’m so close already” she warned while the redhead smirked pulling her down to properly sit, and started to suck while her hands moved to Beca’s ass, inviting her to thrust into her mouth. Beca’s forehead was pressed against the wall along with her right hand, while her left one was tangled into messy red hair, Chloe was moaning into her keeping eye contact until it became too much for Beca who had to slam her eyes shut “oh my God, oh my God I’m going to die" she gasped, Chloe loved that Beca was a talker in bed, almost as much as she loved the way she was pulling at her hair. The redhead moved a hand further down between her legs and slipped one, then two fingers inside of Beca “Yes. Chloe, yes" she moaned fucking herself against Chloe face, her arm was stretched out to push against the wall while her back was arched and her head tilted up “fuck! I’m coming, I’m coming...” she gasped before inhaling sharply and starting to shake holding her breath. Chloe couldn’t see her face anymore, but the sight of Beca’s boobs bouncing was good enough.
After Beca came and slightly lift herself up, Chloe slipped her fingers out and started to caress her body until she reached and squeezed her breasts, as she playfully and very gently nibbled her outer lips, making Beca jump and laugh until she tugged at her hair to make her stop. Chloe helped Beca to get off of her and held her still trembling body into her arms easing her on the bed. Beca attacked her mouth greedily sucking at her tongue “that was amazing” she breathed out “it was” agreed Chloe with a dreamy smile licking her lips “I love you" said Beca unable to hold it in “I love you, too” answered the redhead kissing her again.
“Can I sleep here?” mumbled Beca against Chloe’s lips, she pulled back to look at her and brushed a lock of hair away from her sweaty forehead “don’t you think Amy will notice if you don’t sleep in your room?” she questioned “baby, we’ve been locked in here for hours, plus we weren’t really silent... I think they know” laughed Beca and Chloe moved behind her to spoon her “I like it when you call me baby" she breathed out into her ear “mh me, too" said Beca lacing their fingers together on her stomach before falling asleep in Chloe’s arms.

Ice cream shop AU pt.9; Bechloe
(part1, part2, part3, part4, part5, part6, part7, part8)
„Why are you grinning like that?“ Chloe asked, frowning a little as she studied Beca who had started smiling at her phone. „Who texted you?“
It was stupid and somewhat embarrassing, but the redhead couldn’t help but feel a little jealous. She had only known the other girl for a week and they hadn’t even talked about their feelings towards each other, which meant she had literally no right to be jealous in any way. And yet the thought of Beca talking to someone else aside of her made her heart hurt a little.
“Your aunt.”
Chloe raised her eyebrows and bit her lip, forcing herself to smile a little even though she wasn’t in the mood for stupid jokes. It just made her feel even more like Beca was keeping secrets from her which, fair enough, she was totally entitled to do.
Apparently Beca had noticed Chloe’s change in mood and she was now reaching for her hand, chuckling softly as she realized how her revelation must have come across.
“I’m not kidding, Chlo. Your aunt just texted me. She said she wants me to keep you safe. Looks like someone’s sneaking out of the house skills aren’t the best.” Chloe wanted to kiss the cheeky smirk off of Beca’s lips, but instead started laughing loudly, relieved that the person Beca was texting wasn’t someone she had to worry about. At least not in that way.
The redhead then slapped Beca’s arm playfully when the brunette wouldn’t stop teasing her.
“Hey! My sneaking out of the house skills are great! You should feel honored, I just climbed out of a window for you!” Chloe pouted, making Beca laugh even louder. She was sure she’d never get tired of that sound.
“You could’ve used the front door instead, seeing as your aunt noticed anyways.” This earned her another playful nudge, but she stopped Chloe by intertwining their fingers.
“We can just walk to the beach, right? It shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to get there.” Beca hummed and Chloe nodded happily as they started walking towards the ocean, a small smile still on their lips.
“This is amazing,” Chloe sighed as they arrived at the beach and she quickly took off her shoes before letting go of Beca’s hand and running around like a little child. The air smelled like salt and the wind was messing up their hair, caressing their skin, in the most perfect way and she was loving the feeling of the warm sand between her toes.
“I told you 11pm is the best time to go to the beach!” Beca laughed and shook her head affectionately as she watched the other girl. She was very appreciative of the fact that they were the only people here, loving that she was the only person to see Chloe this happy and excited. For now, at least. She wanted Chloe to be happy all the time, but she loved sharing this moment just with her and no one else.
She eventually caught up with Chloe who was now appreciating the stars in the dark night sky above them, giggling a little every time an especially big wave caused the water to reach her feet.
“Enjoying the view?” Beca hummed as she wrapped her arms around Chloe from behind, sighing happily as she realized what a huge smile she had just put on the other girl’s lips.
“Mhhh, it’s beautiful. I’ve never been to the beach at night.”
Beca frowned for a second before remembering that the redhead didn’t live anywhere near a beach and she chuckled softly. “We can come here every night, if you want. For as long as you’ll be here. How does that sound?”
Chloe nodded eagerly, clearly very excited, but with that Beca had also brought up a subject she really did not want to talk, or even think, about. Because leaving this place was the last thing she wanted to do. Leaving Beca even more so.
“I don’t wanna leave again,” Chloe pouted playfully, like a little child and Beca couldn’t help but laugh softly, even though she felt exactly the same way. It was true that she barely even knew the other girl, but she somehow made her feel all warm and fuzzy and comfortable and she really just wanted to live in this moment forever, as cheesy as it sounded.
“I don’t want you to leave either, Chlo. But we still have like, what? Three more weeks? That’s a long time, you know.” It was a pathetic way of trying to cheer the other girl up, because they both knew that three weeks weren’t nearly enough for them. For whatever it was that was happening between them, that felt like so much more than some kind of summer fling.
“It’s not long enough.”
“I know it isn’t but hey, I’ll visit you, yeah?”
Chloe smiled sadly at Beca and turned around in her arms, burying her face in the crook of her neck and sighing happilly, feeling a lot better already. She was more than excited about the possibility of Beca visiting her, but it still wasn’t going to be the same than being here with her, able to see her every day whenever she wanted.
“You’ll visit me?”
“Yeah, if that’s something you want.” Beca smiled, kissing Chloe’s temple tenderly which successfully made the redhead feel all giddy again. The brunette shivered softly when Chloe giggled against her sensitive skin and she pulled her even closer, not wanting to let her go again.
“Of course I want that, I just…I didn’t know if you’d…?” There was her shy Chloe again, if she could even claim her as ‘hers’ in any way. Probably not. Not yet, at least. She didn’t even know how all of this had suddenly turned this cheesy and romantic in the first place, but she definitely wasn’t complaining. Perhaps she liked Chloe even more than she had already thought.
“If I’d want to?” Beca chuckled, pulling Chloe impossibly closer. “I know we haven’t really talked about all of this, but I mean, hopefully you can tell that I really like you. A lot.”
“I can. And I like you too. A lot.” Chloe’s voice was quiet, shy, almost uncertain. Not because she didn’t mean it, but because she was scared. And Beca could relate, really, never having been in an actual relationship, never having felt like this towards another person.
“I can tell.” There were so many things she had to say, but she opted for teasing instead. They had time, and she didn’t want their happy, nightly adventure to turn into something sad.
“Shut up,” Chloe laughed and ran away again, just for Beca to chase after her, laughing loudly.
That’s how they spent the rest of the night. Laughing, running around like carefree little children, hugging, enjoying the view. Enjoying each other. Each other’s company.
Until Beca decided that it would probably best for them to go back home. Because unfortunately she had promised Chloe’s aunt to keep her niece safe and she didn’t think that included running along the beach all night, as much as she actually wanted to do that.
“Just one more houurr?” Chloe pouted and whined as Beca was basically dragging her along the beach just a few minutes later.
“Chloo, don’t make this even harder for me! We can come back tomorrow!”
“Promise?”
“Promise.” Beca grinned and, without any kind of warning (which Chloe definitely would have appreciated) leaned forward to kiss the other girl tenderly.
They’d done this before, once. But that really did not change the fact that Chloe’s heart was immediately beating so fast that it might jump right out of her chest and into Beca’s arms, where she was now comfortably being held as she kissed her back with all of her love, still feeling a little shy as first. She didn’t think she’d ever get used to doing this, kissing Beca. It was too much and everything she never knew she needed at the same time, and when she eventually had to pull back for air, there was a huge smile plastered on her beautiful face.
“Let’s go home, Beale,” Beca grinned at the redhead, a cocky smirk on her lips. “Or would you like to continue this at the beach?”
