Bisan is calling for another global strike!
I saw some posts just outlining Jan 21st, and wanted to clarify that Bisan has called for a full seven days of action.
What a global strike would look like is:
calling in sick to work
purchasing bare essentials ahead of the week so you can observe the general boycott of goods / buying as little as you genuinely can
putting in a concerted effort to elevate Palestinian voices and make it clear that this strike is in support of a permanent ceasefire!
For those who will have to purchase necessary goods during this time, please observe the brands that the BDS movement is asking us to boycott!
♢♢♢
Right now is also a good time to mention some better uses for your money during this week.
Available e-sims in Gaza are running low!!
Mirna El Helbawi and her team are working round the clock to continue to connect Palestinians as Israel does its best to cut them off from the rest of the world.
You can learn how to purchase and send e-sims here, and below you’ll find a list of what is currently needed (the areas in brackets indicate what region you should select to buy e-sims in).
--
CareforGaza is an organisation that does verifiably good work, distributing supplies directly to Palestinian families.
They have a Gofundme set up at the moment, but because of Gofundme’s poor track record regarding refusing to transfer funds to Palestinians, I’d recommend continuing to donate directly to their PayPal here.
Good luck to all of you. Don't turn away from Palestine!

"We wanted this to feel like Gale and their partner were really merging into one, new, perfectly harmonious being."

Just release these movies newly, without changing anything, and watch them blow up and be hailed as the best Disney movies of all time (because they are).

the tension in that scene was breathtaking. The music in the background. The memories being projected not only on the background but also on Dazai himself. Dazai’s speech being interrupted by the sound of their abilities working together for the first time ever to transition back to the control room. The pause and Dazai’s expression while Chuuya is fighting for his life. Beautiful.

An update (or an announcement, not sure but whichever is fine) while i’m working on THE UNSPOKEN webcomic offline:
So i’m currently writing and working on the groundworks for the pilot comic volume that I hope can be released with limited numbers soon. It’s good news because it means that I’m dedicated to it, but the reality is it’s a lot of work for a one man team, plus my life schedule that gets busier every year, I won’t be able to be online much like 2 or 3 years ago, and will have to focus my drawings on my career more (I do draw for a living). So whenever I can draw here, it’ll be about this webcomic aka my favorite personal project and what I can and want to share with you guys.
The real announcement is, while working on the groundworks for the webcomic, I realize that since this comic with a Dragon Ball semi-adapted script draws from life more than from fantasy, it’s better to make it something more “real” that people can relate to. And that also means I’ll be visiting China next month, specifically the Zhangjiajie area, or better known as James Cameron’s Avatar moutains, for a short research trip and take real references since it’s also my main inspiration for THE UNSPOKEN’s Son Goten (or Sun Wu Tian - 孫悟天 in Chinese dialect)’s hometown.
If you like this series and want to support it, that’ll be great since this work runs mostly by the supports from its loving fans.
Maybe the next time I post here will be the old groundwork stuff I posted on twitter/X in 2021.

Alan Wake (whose face and voice we find on Thomas Zane and Casper Darling, respectively) ends up in an antagonistic relationship with Alex Casey (whose face and voice we find on Sam Lake and Zachariah Trench, respectively).
Casper Darling and Zachariah Trench? By the end, their relationship was antagonistic.
The Casey-Trench voice was once a guide-friend for Wake-Darling.
And then, they were fighting.
One was suspicious of the other, thinking he was lying, hiding something.
While the other was unaware of the darkness that was growing and consuming the former's mind, his ignorance letting it fester. Feeding it, even.
The original faces, Thomas Zane and Sam Lake? In this latest iteration they've spoken with their own voices while in the Dark Place, only in the presence of a camera.
Alan Wake and Zachariah Trench? In the end, while in a nightmare dimension, both get shot by a woman who both of these men meddled in their lives, threatening the well being of their loved one.
At least one had a hand in his fate, willing it, accepting it. The other? He was fully gone, his will overtaken by the nightmare.
A version of Alex Casey did say it after all. He and writer, they were the same.
And finally, the real Sam Lake? By happenstance he offered his face for a collaborative project, and became a symbol. Even if he tried to fight it, tried to replace it, he had to concede. The story demanded it, as if writing it wasn't enough, the narrative claimed his visage.
There's no need to make overt mentions or put the image of the Ouroboros in posters. The serpent is interwoven in the fabric of the narrative itself.

I think it's funny whenever I suggest we get rid of ads everywhere that there's always someone who's like "but then how will you know what to buy?"
and I'm like.... you let ADS TELL YOU WHAT TO BUY?
like I just cannot imagine trusting corporations like that. ads lie to you. You know who doesn't? the delightful folks on r/buyitforlife and my gay mutuals on tumblr. how will I know what to buy? uh, I go shopping at stores I trust, and if I don't know where to look for those, I ask a human being. upsetting that this is novel concept.

The worst part is that Volition was on the edge of entering a new golden age. They were getting ready to completely stop with the Saints Row series and delve into new IPs and adventures. There were talks about reviving the Red Faction series too. Even had the original Red Faction's writer on board for this one.
And it looked so great for them too, with Gearbox's help that is. They pretty much cleared the studio of all the bad apples (the upper management that sabotaged Agents of Mayhem), had a lot of the old staff that worked on SR1 and SR2 brought back specifically for reboot that were ready to delve into new franchises too, upgraded several of its departments (they were supposed to finally get their own marketing department. There are people at Volition that got laid off that have worked less than 6 months there), didn't have to answer to crackheads from Deep Silver (check out flippy's latest video on more info about that), even had Randy Pitchford himself give Volition his stamp of approval because "Volition needs to be Volition to make good games".
They were actually getting ready to make a game they were truly passionate about, without any micromanagement from Deep Silver ruining it in order to keep it "market safe".
It sucks how now they'll never get that redemption arc. They'll never get a chance to make a game from start to end. Not even selling millions could've saved them.
