Okay but imagine being the daughter of the grandmaster from another clan and and your married off to Bi-Han, he’s cold and callous towards you stating that he views you as a tool to strengthen the Lin Kuei by barring him children. Your only solace is his brother Kuai Liang, there’s an unspoken romance shared between you do that’s being held back to due to both of your shared duties. Later on you bid farewell to Bi-Han and Kuai, who’s off to the Netherealm as a participants of Mortal Kombat. You later learn from Kuai that Bi-Han has died, Kuai is there to for you through your grieving process and eventually all of the unspoken feelings shared between one another but you refuse to act on it for the sake of upholding your own honor as the wife of the former grandmaster, Bi-Han. Little do you know that Bi-Han’s soul is in hell and he meets Sareena who aides him in escaping hell, both him and Sareena fail at escaping hell. Bi-Han is soon at his lowest, he regrets being so cruel to you and his brother for the sake of his own ego and in the moment of weakness he cheats on you with Sareena thinking that he’ll never see you again so he might as well give in and accept his fate in hell. Later on after the one night stand between him and Sareena, they find a way out of hell and they escape together. He reunites with you and you notice that he’s different from his time away from you, he’s kinder to both you and Kuai (even smoke) but there’s lingering doubt, it deepens even more when you feel Sareena’s resentful gaze.

We know that Ted hates tea, he brings it up again this episode. And yet he ends up drinking it and as a result he has an epiphany (in that scene there are bi colours and him inside an upside down pink triangle). And he seemingly had a good experience because he drank that tea (consider also that Beard says the drugs didn’t work, so it was just the tea that made Ted feel great (if we're not thinking that Beard is so used to taking this kind of drug that he needs more of it and it did actually work for Ted)).

Let me now take you to a movie. The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes. This movie is known for being a queer Sherlock Holmes adaption, although perhaps not as explicit as you’d want it to be. But it’s still a queer Sherlock Holmes adaption. There is a scene in that movie where a man tries to convince Sherlock to sleep with a woman so that she can have a perfect child. Sherlock tries to get out of it and asks if there aren’t other clever men they could choose from. The man says that they have tried and one of them was Tchaikovsky. When talking about Tchaikovsky the man says that it didn’t work because women aren't Tchaikovsky's glass of tea. Sherlock then says that he is not a free man and implies that he and John are in a relationship. The man is surprised and ends up asking: “You mean, you and Doctor Watson… he is your glass of tea?” To which Sherlock answers “If you want to be picturesque about it”. Tea is queer.

Two random scenes about tea, surely that doesn't mean anything? Perhaps not, but let's not forget that we got a reference to Sherlock Holmes from Trent the very same episode. He says to Colin: “I used my Holmesian powers of journalistic deduction”. But he ends up admitting that he knew about Colin because he saw him kissing a guy. A very John Watson thing to do. Trying to be like Sherlock but he isn’t, but he has his own set of skills. Then we can't forget that both Trent and Watson are writers, and both of them are writing about a man they love admire.

So, Ted drinks a glass of tea and ends up having a positive experience, with bi colours and queer symbols. Tea is queer, Ted didn't want tea before but perhaps now he does?
