I've been rewatching TFP these days (very very slowly) and I've come to realise that..,.,. Jack's a very responsible person. I knew it the first time I watched the show, but rewatching made me realise that he gives off major big brother vibes.
In episode 4, Jack and Raf ran after Miko to stop her from going with Bulkhead but they were swarmed by Vehicons shooting at them. He ran to shield Raf with his body after the latter fell on the ground from the impact of one of the blasts. They were saved by Bulkhead of course. Honestly, this scene plays in my mind often. Jack risked his neck to save Raf.
When he confronted Miko on the Nemesis for running off, he told her "Well, maybe I have some regard for your safety!" And they bicker back and forth. But then Raf exploded in frustration and ran to a quieter corner. Jack and Miko immediately stopped fighting to comfort him. He was the first to reassure him that "it's ok". He barely knew Miko but he was willing to risk his own skin to save her. Not only that, but he was gentle with Raf too. He's responsible for his actions and obviously cares for those around him.
Not to mention, Jack jumped to action to save Raf from the vehicon later in the same episode. Miko covered her eyes to prevent looking at Raf getting blasted. But you could see the moment determination set onto Jack's face. He was set on saving Raf. Miko reached out to stop him, but you can tell by the way he blurred when he leapt to push Raf out of the blast that he had quite literally leapt out of their hiding spot.
At the end of the episode, Jack left the Autobots and Miko tried to convince him to return. He said something that struck me - "I've been raised to be responsible - to my schoolwork, to my mum, my job." Miko later said "Stop trying to pretend to be normal, Jack. You'll never fit in. You were born to do so much more." He didn't even look at her before replying, "Thanks, Miko. But I think normal suits me fine."
Jack's the responsible leader of the trio - and it's painstakingly obvious his upbringing had a huge influence on him. He probably felt largely responsible for what's happening to them. Arcee wouldn't have had to break cover with him nearby if he hadn't been sitting on her, and if that high pace car chase hadn't ensued, Raf would've been kept out of the whole ordeal. Miko joined the gang because Arcee went looking for Jack at school the next day and accidentally spotted them. His personality is all about taking responsibility for his actions, and that extends even beyond his own actions - he chased after Miko time and time again when she runs off for a peek into robot adventure. He keeps an eye out for Raf, too. He's the youngest and isn't as fast as him or Miko.
Episode 4 and 5 is a treasure trove of insight onto Jack's character. Now I can understand better why Optimus elected him to go to Cybertron. Rewatching it sheds light on moments I hadn't noticed the first time round. And this is only in the first 2 episodes - there was more, but I'll be here for another hour or two. To be frank, I'm excited to rewatch TFP now. I can't wait to see more moments of Jack I didn't notice the first time.

there are a lot of evil people in the world and a lot of darkness in the world and so it’s very important for me to stress that now more than ever is the time to spread kindness and compassion. combat the evil by not only not partaking in it, but actively refuting it. destroy the notion that being compassionate or generous or kind to someone is uncool or embarrassing or even scary. be the change you want to see. start a chain reaction. positivity only breeds more positivity. do an act of kindness for someone so that that person who is too afraid to do it themselves can see you, realize that they’re not alone, and perhaps sheepishly follow your example. and then the next person who is too afraid but sees that person can do the same. when bad news comes out about bad people or horrible atrocities in the world it’s such an easy impulse to despair, and obviously it’s important to feel what you need to feel. grieve. be angry. be sorrowful. be empathetic. but dust off your pants and get up and be a part of a chain reaction that, no matter how small the scale, and spread compassion and love and care. all the reasons why you might not—“it’s hard! it’s scary! people will make fun of me! it’s useless because there’s too much evil!” are all grade A arguments as to why you should. you have no idea how many people you could inspire to do the same. even if it doesn’t get you anyway far, you can at least say you have the nobility of trying. please choose love and please choose life. you are worth loving and you are worth inspiring others to love

hiii im sure you’ve answered this before but in regards to your twst x Pokémon, how do you choose which Pokémon go give to the cast?? really curious since your choices are unique :O
unique in a good way, I hope? 😅 (jk jk I haven't come across too many pokemon AUs, so I was going in without preconceptions, I guess!) I was sorta aiming somewhere between doing, like, a full AU with internal consistency and everything, and just picking entirely based on theme/character, so maybe that's why! basically I just set some arbitrary rules (no legendaries/no repeats/evo stages based on year) and then went on ~vibes~. a couple were also suggestions (thank you guys!) and last-minute decisions, so it was a bit of a delightful mess of ideas!
my one regret is that I should have given Riddle a Togedemaru after all. ...you know what, he can have one now, why not

love love love steddie + supportive wanye
thinking about wayne and eddie going on an annual fishing trip (like thee Munson Men Annual Fishing Trip™️) just like a little weekend away. and the first one is coming up after eddie and steve starts dating. over breakfast eddie jokingly complains about having to go and tries to get out of it. but wayne is used to his dramatics so he just gives hmms when appropriate because eddie’s whole spiel never got him out of it before and he tells eddie that.
steve watches the whole exchange with amusement when wayne asks if he’s looking forward to it. and he’s like ??? because he assumed it was just a wayne and eddie thing. and wayne is like i just told eddie all munsons must go can’t get out of it kid.
steve gets flustered and is internally is like oh??? all munsons,,,
or like after the trip a neighbor asks wayne if they caught anything and he pulls out his wallet to show a picture they took on the trip. wayne passes it with ‘here’s a picture of my boys’ and to steve’s surprise it’s a picture of both him and eddie with their biggest catch.
and just idk wayne casually accepting steve into their family and throwing steve off guard with it.

okay but you see sam has ALSO fallen for dean's act. sam also believes dean to be the macho, daddy's soldier, beer boobs cars guy he presents himself as. this is why sam makes fun of dean whenever he even lightly steps out of that mold and thinks it's harmless banter instead of attacking an insecurity. it's why he laughs when john talks down to dean in the early seasons and it's why he seems surprised when dean is more comfortable with himself in the later seasons. it's why he just scoffs but doesn't push it when dean puts up a front and refuses to talk about his emotions and just accepts whatever excuse he makes at face value. it's why he offers dean a strip club to make him feel better when cas dies. and this isn't his fault!! dean has spent a very long time perfecting this image in front of everyone and ESPECIALLY to sam because along with it comes safety and security and stability and the only person. who has consistently been able to see through it. is castiel

if Zoro asked Luffy 'would you still love me if I was a worm?' Luffy would be vibrating out of his skin with excitement detailing how he would take care of Zoro and build him a special little enclosure and make him little swords out of sticks so he can still achieve his dream of being the world's greatest swordsworm and feed him worm sized portions of meat and booze everyday and carry him around everywhere so they can still do everything together.
he also delightfully rambles about how he could be a worm also and they'd go on worm adventures together and make friends with all sorts of other bugs and how much fun they'd have.
edit: there's fanart for this scenario now! show it lots of love it's absolutely adorable!!!
