Lee Heeseung might only have eleven characters to his name, but they spelt trouble in forty different ways. 

It starts with the same old Lee Heeseung spilling his applesauce on you in the first grade, with his cup of mushy lukewarm grossness splattered across your new pants with glittery stars on them. You shriek when it happens, frantically wiping off the mess and yelling at his Lightning McQueen lunchbox with all of the bottled up rage a seven year old can have. His eyes are wide, but all his friends laugh and say girls are so angry all the time, so he stops himself from apologizing. Which, you think his friends were being a little rude to all girls alike, but what mattered was that Lee Heeseung never ended up saying sorry. 

But that’s just one way of saying it. He hit you in the face with a ball, ran into you when your knee was scraped and you almost were bursting into tears, and tripped you in the lunch line. 

Did the universe hate you, or did he? 

You figured it was the latter.

Heeseung’s been stuck to you your entire life with some extra strong adhesive that you can’t seem to get off. You wish you could get some of the same glue that stuck you two to the hip and attach his tongue to the nearest streetlight, but things almost never worked in your favor. If you could catch him, just once, like one of the dumb boys who lick frozen poles in winter, you’d be satisfied. 

The blackmail would trump any sort of Heeseung related adversity your elementary grade self had to deal with. 

Unfortunately, the years have rendered you no protection against him, and in the small victories you find yourself in, you also see Heeseung right next to you. The exam you aced was topped by Heeseung with a 98%, just a bit higher than your 96%, and it couldn’t even feel good to talk about it because you knew all your friends talked about was how he did better. 

There was no accomplishment anymore when Heeseung was around. 

Heeseung was perfect in everyone’s eyes, a golden boy in their praises and a role model for their parents. If people didn’t want to be with Lee Heeseung, people wanted to be Lee Heeseung. That? That was something you hated. How could people want to be someone who you couldn’t stand?

“Have you seen the scissors?” Heeseung asks out of nowhere, startling you from the doorway.

Reaching for the ones you used to cut the parchment paper with, you hand the pair to him and with a mumbled ‘thank you’ he leaves.

In an odd way, you’re stunned by the silence that follows. A “you suck, _____!” would be more in character for villainous Lee Heeseung than whatever just happened. But you’re way too occupied with the bakery, and go back to cutting squares in the matcha cake.

It’s the same for the next hour until the rush ends and you get a bit more time to yourselves between orders. Heeseung agrees to wash the dishes and you clean the tables to the sound of your playlist from the speakers.

“You have good music taste.” Is the first thing that comes out of his mouth when he emerges. He wipes his hand on a white towel and you stare at him, utterly puzzled. Where’s the malice? Where’s his snarky comments?

“I’m waiting for you to tell me it’s not as good as yours, or something along those lines.” You deadpan.

Heeseung rolls his eyes. “I’m not that mean, I can give a compliment or two when I feel like it.”

“Oh, poor Lee Heeseung only has so much room in his heart to compliment people. How thankful should I be that you spend your daily supply of niceness on me?” You quip, cleaning off the tables. Your chest feels light and you don’t feel as angry as you did this morning.

Blame it on the lack of sleep.

“I think you should be bowing down to me and only talking when I tell you to.” He jokes, and when you glance up, there’s a semblance of a smile on his face. “Anyways, when are you leaving?”

“Whenever you leave.” You tell him, shrugging.

“Well, I stopped my your grandma’s house earlier.” Ah, so that’s where he went. “She said she didn’t want you to stay too late but she also wanted me to take you home, and I think she’d throw a fit if you didn’t.”

“I’d die before getting into a car with you, Lee Heeseung.”

“If I had to get into a car with you, that’s how I’d personally die.” He responds lightly. You furrow your eyebrows and rack your brain for some sort of retort that hurts Heeseung’s pride, but nothing comes up.

“My driving skills are very good, I’ll have you know.”

He jabs, “Didn’t think you had it in you.”

Hello, Sol!! I'm doing well, thanks a lot for asking! What about you?

Leo and Calypso, probably THE most hated canon ship right now 😂 But like to be honest, none of the couples in HOO resonated with me as much as Percabeth (maybe because they had five books and the rest of them had one book each for their relationship lololol). But them, especially, I didn't really like it at the start. Rick just tried to make a Percabeth 2.0 with the bantering and bickering, forgetting that Percabeth actually had moments where they were kind and compassionate with each other beyond finding each other attractive (which is...kind of the point of a romance) I also didn't like the weird Leo+Percy rift that came with it like why did Leo need to be THAT mad at Percy for leaving Calypso, I thought it was pretty clear that if Percy didn't, Leo and everyone else on Earth would have been obliterated by Kronos, right, but that is more of a writing issue.

As for Octavian, I have been thinking about him, and i have finally concluded that he falls victim to what I call the Umbridge effect. Let me explain that.

Umbridge was a horrible and disgusting person, yes. Everyone was right to hate her. But there were so many memes and content on the internet about how demonic she was, to the point where it was just getting overdone and unfunny. Like we get it Umbridge is a meanie and you think she's worse than voldemort or whatever (when she's honestly not?) move on nowwww

In Octavian's case, it's the same, except it's worse, because Octavian is more interesting as a character than Umbridge, so it is annoying when he's only talked about in the fandom for being the "panda pillow pet killer™" it's annoying because not only are the hate memes not funny anymore, but also ignoring that he did worse things in the books (like blackmailing hazel for one)

Aaaaand, for the last question, I honestly don't remember 😆 But knowing me, it would've probably been like,, one or two before I gave up and went with this fjekdifrn I have horrible patience (but at the same time I can't imagine any other url for me)

💯 - How many words does your WIP currently have? How many words do you hope it'll have when it's done?

Plugging for further consideration into this one- currently it's sitting at just under 4k. I'm a nightmare at calculating word count goals, but I've got 2 sections done, 4 more planned (I know what goes in em, just gotta actually write them up) and I know I want to add more to the start/middle of it pacing wise, I'm just still trying to figure out what. Overall??? I'd say it'll probably end up being over 10k?? Probably more?? But also that may be underestimating it. we shall see! I just want to feel like I've done it well :]

[ additionally, because I got distracted w/ going "and what if I elaborated on this...", I've also written a 3.5k missing scene companion piece- addendum- which will probably be released alongside it. SO! Either way- it'll probably be chunky! ]

💖- What is your favorite moment in this WIP?

Same WIP again- there's some emotional moments near the end that I'm really pleased with, but they're AT THE END so I might keep them under wraps for now. However, going through my notes, I did have a giggle over the fact that a series of plot beats probably mid-way through is karadec 1. trying to casually invite morgan to stay the night at his and really trying to clarify that this is NOT him hitting on her he just thinks it'd be a good idea for their progress on the case right now. 2. getting (lovingly) bullied by morgan for this and then bullied AGAIN when they're settling down to sleep (in the same bed, of course. morgan refuses to let him sleep on the couch when there's clearly enough space for the two of them). and 3. karadec genuinely considering how he could blackmail daphne so she doesn't tell oz because she clocks them INSTANTLY and one of them being suspicious is bad enough never mind when they can gossip TOGETHER </3

Little Edward + Caregiver Envy & Lust

Does this paring make sense? I don’t know... I’ve only watched 8 episodes of fmab, (it probably doesn't) but I am already obsessed with Envy so I’m sharing this anyways :3 (sometimes the headcanons don’t have to make sense if it’s cute, that's what au's are for /lh )

~Envy is trying™ to be a good caregiver. He really, really is. It's not his fault that he doesn't have a regular childhood to base his caregiving off of. But he's watch enough parents interacting with their children that he knows what he's doing. He's practically an expert! (he's really not)

~Envy doesn’t quite know the line between too much and not enough. Ends up being a bit too rough with Edward when the two are playing or rough housing without meaning too. It’s not his fault though, humans are just fragile.

~Probably fails at the most 'simple' of tasks. Like remembering to get the kid dinner before they go and have dessert. Or making sure Ed's not getting into something that's possibly harmful for a mentally two year old.

~Having to learn the hard way that Ed needs to go to bed on time otherwise he has to deal with an overworked and cranky babyspace regressor who thinks the best solutions to life's problems is to cry.

~Carrying Edward around everywhere. Doesn’t let the regressor go anywhere without him.

~Ed being just a low energy baby, which is perfectly fine as Envy wants nothing more than to just sit cuddled up with the boy.

~Lust telling herself that she is not in fact going to get involved with Envy’s watching over Ed. Nope. She's only allowing such an interaction to happen because he's grown attached and if not Envy will do nothing but whine and complain about not seeing his baby.

~If she’s really needed she’ll watch over the regressor, or if she’s feeling particularly bored. Otherwise she's content in watching the two. Sue her, it’s an interesting dynamic to watch, besides the pure desperation Envy holds to make Ed like him is too good to miss out on watching. Bonus for any potential blackmail she can gather, holding it above Envy's head that he's going soft

~She stepped in once to help Envy when Ed was getting really over whelmed and it was clear that he had no idea how to calm the regressed teen down. After that Envy just kind of pushes Ed off on her whenever he's being fussy, not that she minds.

But since Roy is a little less experienced than F!Skid is, he gets caught off guard when Regular Roy tries to fight him and gets into a little tussle with him. /lh

OK demon and angel au context time. I had a lot of fun with it jfdjkf

1 & 2: Introducing our main dudes! You know em, you love em and now they’re supernatural. Heavenly Smurfs making Jokey an angel was incorrect and we all know it /lh

3. They start to fight over Vanity’s soul (I was originally gonna do a gotcha plot w/ Somebody but wasn’t sure how to go with that so. Vanity limelight hours). Anyway Vanity’s neither interested in selling nor saving his soul rn, He thinks the two should probably kiss already.

4-  Vanity was (of course) right and Harmony and Jokey start a secret relationship. Tut tut. Lyrics are based on this cover

5- Regular Smooth is kind of a jerk but supernatural Smooth somehow manages to be even more of one. He discovers his cousin’s forbidden boyfriend and is gonna tell but here’s the thing. Smooth is also pretty bored of leading the angelic life, there’s no excitement in it. Sure he’s a great sax player on the choir but well … he sees an opportunity here. That opportunity being blackmail. Essentially he won’t tell on Harmony but in return he wants Jokey to date him instead. Jokey knows if Smooth rats them out Harmony will become a fallen angel which means being indebted to the higherup demons - and obviously at this point Jokey genuinely cares about him and doesn’t want that to happen but also … eck, no thanks, Smooth.

6- Smooth seems to be misunderstanding a fundamental concept about demons tbh. * Brainy voice * Smooth, Smooth, Smooth, you can’t burn demons that’s kind of their whole thing. You know. FIRE. But it was cool to draw so idc.

7- Harmony and Jokey stage a little plan. Jokey pretends to meet with Smooth to agree to the terms of their deal and get Smooth to confess to betraying his peers. Not cool Smooth, you’ve been locked out of heaven. Because he managed to get a fallen angel, Jokey keeps his position since now Smooth can do pitchfork duty. This means Harmony gets to claim he saved Vanity’s soul after all. Harmony you get a golden trumpet for your efforts :)

8- Yeah ok Harmony and Jokey technically broke the rules by dating in the first place but luckily the higherup angels care more about traitors in their own ranks doing illegal blackmailing and betraying than one random lower angel having a demon bf. And he saved Vanity’s soul. So. For now they pretend they do not see.

Fearing that Garito confidence might instill some rebellion in his workers, he gets some information on him, and despite the 100% confidentiality of clients, he finds out his true identity, and uses it to blackmail; With the usage of "Nick" in Leo's speech, now realizing he knows his identity, Nick is now forced to comply with him and whatever that means-

This idea is fun, altho I will say it doesnt really solve my "if nick becomes a worker than his struggle is an exact repetition of sophist's-", although I guess no matter what happens in the middle, if i do use this idea, then the finale would be something like this:

Nick standing up to Leo, despite his blackmail. Instead, he goes to his parents and comes clean about how hes not as perfect as they thought he was, but that he's changed his ways, and he's found someone who he really loves, aka Vern. He asks them that even if they don't forgive him, that's fine, but that they help shut down Leo's business, because even if they don't approve of him now, he's still has somebody who does along with friends who will also stick/have stuck by his side through it all. And some (bc he's probably befriended more workers than just Sophist) have been hurt by this industry, and it's the least he could do to make sure that they have the ability to be within a community, or make one for themselves, that will accept everyone no matter their previous grievances or past transgressions. It is this confidence, this do-good idea that he seems genuinely passionate about, to protect the people that he loves in a community that he's also found for himself, that his parents let him know: "We could never hate you for who you are. But we can always love you for who you become, or rather, who you're becoming. You've grown, and how could we ever hate you for that?"

After you said this, I actually struggled to decide between which idea I liked more, bc I hadn't really thought about it too much but their dynamic was def one of the two that you had brought up-

HOWEVER, you know how I was talking about that "community" that Brent introduced Sophist too? That gave him the confidence that he could start a new life, even without a perfectly clean slate, and letting everything hang out because not all but some people would be willing to accept him despite his previous lies and hidden past? Vern is the main player in that-

I wanna say he works at the cafe (omg cafe au reference- /j) that Brent and Sophist frequented when they first started hanging out more casually, with Brent being on good terms with Vern having come to this cafe for so long. Vern is the first person to openly approach him with this pure kindness and the two become good friends, with Brent and Eevee continuing to come here after they break off their respective abusive/toxic relationships.

As for Nick, I'm still really torn. I like the idea of him being a close/the closest colleague of Brent's, working at the same company as him and also being the person to suggest Sophist to Brent.

In the company, he's known as a bit of a slacker, but is very charismatic and popular with everyone, esp the ladies, and he somehow always seems to have luck on his side regarding making business deals, known for his ability to smooth talk his way into lucrative deals that make him favorable to the company (and overwrite his idleness). Outside of work though, he is a frequent client to the "business" ran by Leo. He has hooked up with Sophist atleast once but said it wasn't his thing, and prefers girls over guys, although he doesnt care that much to be honest. He's also a lot nicer than most of the clients, who otherwise stereotypically demand that they get straight to business, and will get to know the workers a little bit. This is what led to his connection with Sophist, as they're good friends and he's one of the only people Sophist talks about his job to outside of the industry (Nick was fucking SHOCKED when he found out the "rich sheltered boy" Sophist was talking about was in fact, Brent, and not another one of his regular vip clients. He did NOT have high confidence in even Sophist to "woo" over Brent, neither did he believe that they had actually done nothing lustful until he asked Brent himself.)

Either this, or as I mentioned earlier, he's one of Sophist's coworkers, although I have less to work with because I don't know how he'd "get out" of the business too without it feeling like a repeated version of sophist's journey, literally start to end- I DO think it would be funnier conceptually though, and better for plot if I did want to make a part two to this au focusing around tcvern3's relationship and the conflict i.e Nick being similarly being trapped, albeit less than Sophist, in the escort business.

At the very least, I definitely see this version of Nick as somebody who's more carefree and lax about his clients, and has definitely pissed a few of them off enough (he's DEFINITELY laughed at someones dick size to the point that they left i don't even care you're never taking that hc away from me- /hj /silly) to receive "punishments" but honestly? Fuck does he care? He's been in the industry less than Sophist has, so he doesn't really know how bad it can really get, but Sophist takes care of his junior regardless. If anything, maybe he can get him out of this life, unlike himself, and while Nick does have some moments of insecurities, he's currently not popular enough to know just how debilitating it can be. In return, he helps Sophist get out a little more and enjoy his life when not with clients, as he's grown so dependant on them (explained in a drabble i have coming up). His client was probably also the one who recommended Brent to Sophist, courtesy of him.

With either version of Nick, I can imagine him pulling up to meet Sophist a few months after he's left the business, genuinely happy to see him all healed and comfortable, wearing casual clothing and a genuine smile.

"So.. It's Eevee now, right?" He asked with a smirk on his face, but there was pure and evident happiness for his friend in his eyes, and that was enough to make Sophist laugh.

"Yeah, it is." He chuckled, a genuine smile spreading across his face. It was nice to see a familiar face after the whole fiasco. He hoped Nick hadn't suffered Leo's wrath after he had left (as a client or a worker). While eyeing him up and down and making sure he was ok, Eevee heard the soft patter of footsteps against the ground behind him. He hadn't even managed to look over his shoulder when-

"Eeevee! It's so good to see you again! Oh, and you brought a friend? Hi!! Nice to meet you! My name is Carnig, but you can call me Vernias!" The man excitedly stuck out his hand, his personality as bright as his pink hair. There was a sparkle in his eyes and a sweet smile on his face that always made him pleasant to everyone else. Meanwhile?

"... Oh!- Uh- Nice to meet you too Vernias, uh.. yeah.."

Sophist had to hold back his giggle at the faint flush that had appeared on his friend's cheeks, clearly more than surprised by Vern's bright personality, not to say that it was a bad thing. He instead settled for giving Nick a comical wink, his smile morphing into a smirk as Nick gave him a dirty side eye, for just a second, before snapping back into his normal self (or as normal as he could find himself) and began to chat up Vern. In no time, he'd put his charismatic personality to use, making Vern let out a bubbly laugh that turned the tips of his ears warm at the sound.

Also/In fact, with either version of the au, I think Nick's struggle would parallel either Brent's or Sophist's respectively struggle in his relationship with Vern/plot conflict. I could imagine for Office-Nick, that he was also born with a rather well off/rich family who has been in good kahoots with Brent's family (actually yes, i now decree that in this version, they're family friends but not in a childhood friends kind of way bc Brent was prevented him from even playing with the son of a well off family as a child bc damn his parents-). They run their own business but have let Nick work with Brent's family's company due to it's success, their animosity as family friends, and their desire for him to get more experience in the working world. However, they meet up with him one day and tell him to quit his job, as seeing his success, they've decided he's finally ready to take over their own company. This would also result in his parents engaging him with somebody, aka Nicole (YOOO STARRY FINALLY REFS NICOLE /hj) who's family also well off/has a high status, for the sake of public image (and MORE company optimization babyyy-/srs /lh), leaving him distraught about his blooming relationship with Vern because he can't just leave. His parents have treated him well his whole life, nothing like Brent's parents (whose toxicity he finally understood to the fullest extent after the whole fiasco), and they haven't given him a reason to actively break everything off to go chase this- this cafe worker. It's painful to admit, but he doesn't have the heart nor the right to just do so just like Brent has. It drives him into this state of turmoil, maddening and insane.

i have so many of them but! i came up with some additional headcanons about our pirate au version of viking earlier today so. i will list those! along with a bonus fact or two!

viking's ship isn't always a cargo schooner! technically, it isn't really even one single ship, which is why it can have a mess hall or a huge captain's quarters or a door that isn't there or whatever. viking's ship is just whatever he feels like having it be at the time. it's simply His Ship, and whatever His Ship is, it just is.

it totally does steer itself by the way. viking was technically not flat-out lying about "of course i'm not the only person on this ship" but that's because at that exact moment legundo was also there on the ship

viking himself is... not a demigod, but somewhere around there in terms of power level? a lot of pirate au type settings will have davy jones as a character, or a guy who is literally death itself, or something similarly grandiose -- and while viking is kind of just some spooky ghost and is probably not around those heavy hitters in terms of clout/powers, he does have a domain that is His Thing -- treachery, betrayal, and/or uncertain loyalty.

basically, he can sense when people have conflicted loyalties or might be in a place where they're going to be backstabbed/going to backstab someone, and he seeks them out to collect their stories! (he doesn't have the ability to sense what that subterfuge is, though, just that someone has a feel of it about them.)

this is kind of actually a win/win for both him and the other party, believe it or not. viking does in fact subsist on these stories to some extent, both in terms of just "people being scared of him/knowing that he exists strengthens his grip on the world" and "it's something to do when you're a bored immortal and he does actually like collecting tales from other people". as for whoever else he's getting those stories from -- well, they have a place to get whatever they've been thinking about off their chest. viking doesn't judge too harshly, doesn't usually share information he's been given until it's long past its relevance, and almost never blackmails unless he really, really needs something from that other person.

viking doesn't know what's up with legundo. he can tell that legundo has secrets about him, that there's something to do with mixed allegiances in his future and present, but he can't tell what those things are -- and even more frustratingly, legundo won't tell him and actively refuses to drop hints! it's like the guy is trying to make him grumpy, i mean, sheesh!

viking prefers to talk to people people one-on-one, ideally with them being guests on his ship, and will engineer situations to have this happen if need be. he's willing to board someone else's ship or bend his own rules to invite multiple people on board his own vessel if he has to, but generally he prefers isolated meetings -- for privacy reasons, natch.

the storm is like. not entirely his fault but definitely a thing he can make happen less to him and more to other people, which really helps in, say, having rogue waves knock select people overboard so he can haul them up for a chat.

the au is basically the mo4 and mp100 universes merged together with mogami and kirimi as the main pair .

kirimi is ( like in canon ) one of the executives of mindy corporation ( or mdcr ) and is the head scientist and engineer ( he is also a doctor , but he does not actively work in that field . although he does posses vast medical knowledge . this will be important later ) . he is a rich egotistical man who sees people as disposable tools for his own gain . he is physically very weak so he hires bodyguards and assassins to work for him and do his dirty work , but he switches them out constantly because his paranoia grips at his throat like barbed wire . he will order to kill business rivals , competitors , threats , or people who know a little bit too much about him for his liking . he smokes , drinks , whatever impulsive behavior you can think of he has probably done it before . he is transmasc btw very important information

he has a strange obsession with charms , and he is the most impulsive buyer you will ever see . he has an office where he keeps most of his antiques , and a personal laboratory where he does experiments ( will also be important later ) which no one else but him is allowed to enter . he also has his own section of the facility , but that area is not off limits . it is deserted most of the time though . most people at mdcr find him eerie and creepy in a strange way , despite him being a very important figure in the company , and people looking up to him . there are rumors about him ( kirimi knows . he watches the security camera footage constantly ) and he finds it really amusing when people make bets over who is going to be hand delivering kirimis documents to his office next .

when kirimi hires mogami i think he is almost immediately able to tell that he is different . kirimi offers him a cigarette , mogami refuses . he offers him a drink , he refuses . he offers to bring him to parties , he refuses . kirimi is not used to this . he is used to his assassins being the lowest of the low , just like he is , except kirimi is the one holding the handle of that knife in those situations . it is refreshing to kirimi , in some twisted way . mogami seems to hate kirimis guts for obvious reasons , but he is still oblivious to the horrors . for now O_Y:

at some point kirimi starts getting a little bit too obsessed with him . he sees mogami as another possession of his , just like all his other tools , but he separates him from the others . kirimi calls him his most prized possession , his favorite doll . if mogami was an insect , kirimi would carefully pin him to a fancy golden frame and put him in a glass container , on display on his desk for everyone to see how beautiful he is and that he is his and his alone . kirimi thinks mogami should feel privileged to be in this position ( DELULU

Besties wake up new Clare Original Self Ship AU dropped

I’ve been thinking about this concept since I started playing Will You Snail and mentally connected P03, PAL and Squid into this little group of “Malevolent, Snarky AIs/Robots Against Humanity”. Been calling it the “Techmaster AU”. It’s still pretty rough in places and is basically just an excuse to have these three interact, so bear with me.

The basic concept is that the world is a combination of the worlds of Will You Snail, TMVTM, and Inscryption, with some edited story beats to each. The Regime from Will You Snail is still a thing, but much more in the shadows than what it seemed like in that game. The world for the average citizen is much more like TMVTM’s world: basically our current world with the company PAL Labs in charge of tech. And that’s how this story starts.

Trying to run down events as quickly and dirtily as possible:

Tech industry is run by PAL Labs; I work for PAL Labs in a pretty low position.

The events of TMVTM happens: PAL takes control of everything and tries to send humanity to space, but is stopped by the Mitchells and—in this story— the Regime.

The Regime understandably freaks out about this entire debacle; they immediately shut down PAL Labs and order all products related to PAL Labs destroyed.

Also in this story, PAL survives the glass of water death she gets in the movie (because that was STUPID /lh).

I end up finding PAL and keeping her safe; something something I heard company gossip about how Mark treated her and felt bad. I keep her in my apartment, off the Internet, and out of sight.

But now I’m out of a job! Luckily, the Regime offers me a job there as an apology. I take it.

While working for this job, I make friends with Amelia and even manage to have a couple of conversations with Squid.

The forest fire didn’t happen in this story, but Amelia and Squid are being held under a similar level of scrutiny in the original story of Will You Snail? because of PAL’s actions.

Another change from Will You Snail?’s story is that the Regime aren’t pumping war/surveillance plans to Squid; they’ve learned their lesson about letting technology have too much power.

Nah, war plans are Gamefuna’s job :)

Gamefuna— being the shady ass company that it is— managed to find out about Squid and are very interested in trying to get him for themselves.

They message Squid themselves, not wanting the Regime or Amelia to interfere.

Squid doing, a few minutes of database hacking on them or smth, can see they’re a bad sort, but Gamefuna probably gets blackmail on him or Amelia so he won’t spill.

[To spell it out: GameFuna wants Squid to spread the Karnoffel Code to everyone in the world because they’re fucking MEANIES!!]

Freaking out and out of options, Squid flees from the regime and from Amelia and ends up coming to me while I’m at my apartment. (Pink brackets jumpscare!!!) I let him stay because. I already have PAL, who’s done far worse things; why not?

But now I’m out of TWO jobs because the Regime might start interrogating people at their workspace, and I ain’t risking nothing!

So now I have two datemates /lh. Where is the third.

Kaycee manages to escape GameFuna with the OLD_DATA floppy disk and hides it. She might die? Might not? I’m *(hand wobbles)* on that.

Through some tips from GameFuna people who don’t want the world to end (maybe including Kaycee), I find the disk— and by extension, P03.

I’m pretty sure in the original mod, the reason Kaycee didn’t destroy the disk when she got the chance to (besides forest peepaw) was that she thought the code could be re-engineered to stop itself? Yeah, that is exactly what can be done here. The question is how

So yeah! In the end, my sona/me in this AU houses three AIs in their apartment and gets tangled into a narrative way bigger than they ever imagined. Wrow!

I should also mention all three of the AIs get physical bodies at some point. Gotta get those shippy fluffy moments in between, and that’s harder to do with. A phone and a couple of screens; no offense guys MMSMF.

PAL gets a cobbled-together body of PAL MAX and PAL MAX Prime parts that keeps getting refined.

Squid gets a robotic body mainly built by PAL that looks like the one I designed.

And P03 gets his iconic body, once again built by PAL and Squid.

But that’s about all the explaining energy I got in me for now

Kent and Raphael Jekyll! I'm real tempted to have them be related to Jekyll like you've made Rexford is to Jasper. But how 🤔 and would Jekyll even know them or care about their death. Oh dang it now I'm thinking of a branch where Jekyll is apart of the Blighters/Templars. Probably against his will? But like. His brothers are there. He'd be trained in fighting and killing (though he still greatly struggles to aim a gun) ooooo how would they enlist his help? Same as what's been established? Finding him in a base after learning hes been making all those poisons the blighters use? Blackmail?

Oooo what if theres a quest where you get hit by a potion, and sure it makes one of the twins sick for a few days but it didn't actually kill or get close to killing them. So the twins go to investigate because why on earth would the blighters just make them sick rather than just killing them? And thus they are lead to discover that the third Jekyll brother has been silently sabotaging the poisons he makes for the gang, and that "Henry Jekyll" is the Dr. Henry Jekyll. So they make a deal of letting Henry live as long as he helps the rooks (they also promise to pay him much more for his help. And to have him a bit more focused on treating injuries rather than killing)

But oh my god. I love that idea. Like Henry being the classic youngest brother forced into all the rebellious and illegal shit his older brothers gets up to, definitely against his will because he doesn't want to be involved in any of this but he has no choice so he just... Sabotages shit and no one notices, maybe Henry would despise his brothers so much he would try to actually get them killed-- oh what if the twins get a mission to kill Kent and Raphael, only to come to the scene and see that they have died from poison? They find a sample and give it to Dr. Graham Bell who 'track' but he is lost, so he tells them to go ask Dr. Henry Jekyll, the world-famous alchemist and chemist. They do, and Henry just has such a grim expression when they tell him why they are here and he simply states that he killed them. He killed his brothers because he was tired of being forced to work for Templars and Blighters and he would rather have died himself than continue to work a single more day for them. The twins are impressed and ask him to work for them instead, Henry sees no idea in trying to decline since he literally just confessed to murdering his own brothers to them, and just asks them to keep quiet about it and make sure he gets paid well <3

I do love the idea of one of the twins getting hit with the pseudo poison though, and especially if it's Jacob so later on he can joke that he fell in love with Henry the moment his poison dart hit his body, or that Henry's love infected him like the poison he hit him with <3

...Y'know this is so much goddamn foreshadowing to the actual game I'm actually realizing rn. Oh my fucking god I can't wait for you to meet Maxwell. That's going to be so fucking funny I just realized that in this story Henry is basically just Maxwell but actually a good person-- or Jacob technically get Maxwell's role oh my fucking god XD

Alrighty! I’ll give you a second part once I’m finished (also this is a flashback, happens during tommy stayed w techno after exile)

Quietly, hooved hands passed a cup of cocoa to a shaking boy. A mumbled “thank you” escaped the blond’s mouth as he pulled the oversized clock around him. “No problem,” the Piglin hybrid responded with a small smile. “Is there anything thing else ya need? I know nightmares can sometimes be really difficult, Phil had them quite a bit after Wilbur died.”

After receiving a head shake, Techno stood up to do a few things around the house. While Tommy might not want to talk, he suspects he wouldn’t enjoy being left alone. Listening to the voices, he got started on brewing some more potions. “Just so you know, I’m not gonna force you to talk about it or anything like that. But.. if you want to, I’ll listen.”

He stopped for a moment and watched as the kid’s face turn away and push deeper into the cloak’s fluffy trim. “...s..sorry..” Techno continued with his task, “no, no, it’s alright. I don’t blame you.”

He continued in near silence, the only sounds being the small sips of cocoa and the bubbling of the brewing stand. Until Tommy’s voice broke through the silence, while still being quite, it was the loudest he spoke since Techno found him shaking in Dnret. “Hey B..Blade... would you miss me.. if I had died?..”

Techno responded, jokingly on instinct, “of course I would. If you died, I wouldn’t get an annoying guy living in my basement stealin’ all my golden apples.”

After setting the finale ingredient to cook in the brewing stand, he looked to Tommy, suddenly regretting his sarcastic statement, and the child sat with a hurt, yet guilty expression on his face. “Oh.. uh, I’m guessing you wanted a more serious answer?” Tommy gave a slight nod in return.

Techno sat down on a chair nearby, letting out a sigh. “Well, of course I’d miss you. We may fight quite a lot, but, as annoying and loud as you are, I care about you. I don’t let just anyone sleep in my basement and eat a bunch of my golden apples. Also, it would just be weirdly quiet if you were gone.”

For a moment, Techno saw a something cross Tommy’s face, something familiar. “Only the best for the best, right? If that’s the case, does that mean you care more about me then Phil?”

Techno fake-thought for a moment, before answering “nah, not even close.”

Tommy erupted into a angry yelling mixed with cursed words, slower and less energetic then usual, but still a Tommy-style reaction. Techno just started laughing at the kid’s reaction. The laughter and yelling died down, and Techno continued talking.

“And for what I’d do.. I don’t know, probably punch a tree. You know I don’t do well with emotions, so that’s probably the best you’d get out of me”

Techno let out a soft sigh when he finished, and Tommy, after putting his cup down, leaned against his brother-figure. “Thank you, Blade..” Techno smiled, happy he could cheer up the kid. However, after looking at Tommy, and seeing a familiar look of mischief, he got worried for what was about to come out of his mouth. “Thanks for the blackmail! Question Round A

This is no fancy post, but I wanna post some questions, just so they are out of my head. ;)

Question 1

How come that it's suddenly common knowledge among Fairy Tail members that Ivan founded a guild AND who that guild is (and also how can they recognise Ivan but know nothing about Precht?)

I suppose after Laxus pulled his failure of a Coup and Gajeel successfully infiltrated Raven Tail, that knowledge quickly made it's round through the guild. I just thought it was odd, given how it took years from Ivan's banishment ALL THE WAY to Gajeel joining FT for even Makarov to learn the whereabouts of his son (years after Laxus managed to follow up with his dad, too). It's like Makarov wasn't actually interested at all in his son, despite the portrayed gravity of the situation.

Question 2

It appears that Ivan didn't know who was partaking in the games for Fairy Tail? So firstly, would Gajeel not have been in contact with Raven Tail after their 7-year disappearance to report like a good under-cover agent should? I would have expected he'd, as much as he knows, forward the info on who's coming to the games to Ivan, as much as he would tell Makarov what Raven Tail is up to. But I guess not. xD

Secondly, Ivan not knowing who participates kinda clashes with his later stated "true goal" of Raven Tail's presence at the games. Because that "true goal" requires Laxus, specifically, to be fighting against Alexei (although any other member would have done, too, since Ivan could cover up the fight with a illusion easily). Without Laxus, Ivan wouldn't have had anyone to blackmail! And thus his greatest reason to be at the games is just being a dick in FT's face. So would Ivan have planned to lure Laxus in somehow? To blackmail him outside the ring?

Question 3

Or more of a statement, really. But this moment appears to be some sort of foreshadowing that wasn't satisfied. It looks like Ivan is expecting something specific from Gajeel, like a nice self-destruction in the ring when fighting for Fairy Tail or a public desertion. Something more dramatic really, than it was. In the end, they just assumed Gajeel was the mole and that's it. xD

I am not even sure how Ivan put any trust into Gajeel anyway. All in all, Gajeel spend way too little time with Raven Tail (half a year max until Tenrou Island) and how he managed to sneak into Ivan's personal office to go through the accounting is beyond me. Yes, Gajeel is a made to look like a great detective, but I refuse to believe Ivan is so stupid to NOT protect the privacy of his papers in some shape or form. Gajeel should not be able to even enter Ivan's private domain unsupervised, period. xD

I also wonder how Gajeel sold his services to Ivan. Did Ivan try to recruit him before Makarov did? Did he accept and then changed his mind when Makarov also offered him a hand, in a much nicer way? Or did Gajeel refuse at first and then go back to Ivan saying he was also approached by Makarov and is now looking for the better deal? Or was Gajeel a FT member first? Did he go to RT with the offer to spy for them? Or did he go to RT trying to actually join them and then got asked by Ivan to spy on FT after some time?

Question 4

This is related to Question 1. I understand that the Council would know that Raven Tail exists, given it's size and independent position besides the Baram Alliance. They would probably also know who the Master of Raven Tail is. And if they know that, then they also know the familial connection to Fairy Tail's master Makarov. IF THE COUNCIL KNOWS ALL THAT then how come that MAKAROV HAS NO FRIGGIN CLUE about what Ivan is doing and where he is?!?!

Yes, I am talking about BEFORE the 7-year gap happened. Naturally within that time period Raven Tail may have had a chance to grow substantially with only Tartaros against them and many other dark guilds falling apart and reorganising themselves (thanks to Crime Sorciere) but even before it existed for YEARS.

Anyway... certainly at the time of the Grand Magic Games, practically anyone who follows up on the world of magic and guilds, knows who Makarov is, knows who Ivan is, and knows who Fairy Tail and Raven Tail are. Easy.

Question 5

The most important one!

Why is Ivan upset about finding out that he had been spied upon? And why is the final straw breaking his patience the remark about Makarov still loving/trusting his son?

Ok, I guess, finding out that one has not been so secret as one believed on was is depressing. xD And yeah, he can be pissed with himself for not noticing Gajeel wasn't sincere. And he can feel pissed about knowing his father is still his father, seemingly able to know everything he does.

But why exactly would knowing that his father trusts him (not to truly harm FT or sell the info about LH?) be something enraging? Does Ivan consider that a lie? Is it because Ivan saw and experienced enough in the past to come to the conclusion that Makarov does NOT trust him regardless of what is being said? Laxus comes here with "duh, blood family" and Ivan is quite "shut the fuck up about blood family, what do you even know".

I think this is Ivan's most interesting moment in canon, because it tells us most about himself. At least, if we were able to read it properly. xD I certainly can't. I am just confused as heck.
