you were the princess of the vast empire of anastas, a land blessed with fertile soil by the gods themselves, a formidable army, and advanced architecture. an empire revered by allies, feared by foes. but, beneath the deceiving facade of prosperity, there beat a restless heart, longing for the thrill of exploring way beyond the palace walls. you badly wanted to set foot in the crowded markets in town, where street vendors promoted their goods, where the overwhelming aroma of spices filled the air and vibrant tapestry gave the town life. your parents forbade you.

fate, however, had plans for you. sure– the concern for your father, the emperor, had weighed heavily on your heart when the royal knights announced he had fallen gravely ill, and that not even the most skillful of healers in anastas could cure him– but, as sickening as one might think, you felt a strange feeling of excitement after getting the reluctant approval of the empress to finally leave the palace and venture into the ancient forest with a purpose; to seek the mysterious wizard rumoured to possess unrivaled healing abilities, ness.

you began your journey into the forest and it was beyond comparison to the royal gardens in your wing of the palace–no offense to your gardeners. large trees and colourful plants and flowers decorated the area and the scent of wet earth was lingering in the air. it was very quiet, and only the sounds of rustling leaves and frequent chirps and squeals of creatures you have yet to see can be heard.

however, this ancient forest did not align with the rumours. it seemed as though some mysterious ‘force’ was attentively tending to every leaf and branch of the forest. the fierce beasts you had expected to encounter weren’t there. neither were the giants or tiny, cunning, elf bandits that your mother warned you about. everything was well preserved– from the mushroom on the soil to the ladybug climbing the tree.

you had absolutely no clue where you were going, only guided by the subtle hints of ness’ whereabouts. and finally, you reach an ancient tower–cracks and crevices on its withering stone walls along with overgrown ivy draped tightly around it. suddenly, the man you were looking for emerged from the tower as if he had sensed your arrival. it was him. it was unmistakable, plain as daylight.

he had an exceptional, distinctive aura, an aura that surpassed even the best mages of anastas. despite your best efforts to appear composed, you could not help but feel suffocated by the tension of the atmosphere that… he involuntarily portrays?

“sir,” the words trip awkwardly out of your mouth as you look at him with twitching lips, a failed attempt to smile at him, “y-you must be ness, the legendary wiza–”

“oh my, the princess herself–the embodiment of royalty– graces me with her presence,” he chuckles and walks closer to you, bending slightly as he gently takes your hand and presses a soft kiss on it, “please, fret not, my princess,” he grins, “it’s been quite a while since i’ve last seen someone.”

pulling your hand away, a soft blush spreads across your face, tinting your cheeks a rosy pink, “ness, i desperately need your help,” it felt strange. despite experiencing this gesture from countless tedious suitors who seeked your hand in marriage, you had never felt your heart race as much as it does in this moment. “...my father, the emperor, has fallen ill and is in critical condition,” you utter with desperation, tightly clutching onto his cloak as you look at him pleadingly. “please, help my father,”

“oh,” a soft sigh escapes his lips as he holds his elbow and rests his head against his palm, “i suppose i can heal the emperor, princess,” he starts, a smirk playing on his lips, “but, naturally, nothing comes without a cost. my assistance is no exception,” he adds as his fingers gently lift your chin to meet his gaze.

you feel your heart drop as you prepare yourself for the conditions he is about to lay out. is he some sadistic bastard who’s going to make you fight to your death with a monstrous cerberus he summons? with reluctance, you gulp, “n-name your price, i’ll give you whatever you wish for– be it a thousand white horses or a million gold bars,”

he adjusts his coat, dismissing the material offerings, “horses? gold? far too ordinary, not my style,” he laughs, his fingers gently tucking your hair behind your ear, “what i’m really after,” he teases with a glint of mischief in his eyes, “is a kiss,”

you pause, shock washing over your face. did you hear that correctly? or was your mind playing games with you? “a… a kiss?” you stammer, your heart was beginning to beat uncontrollably against your wishes all over again. you felt conflicted, unsure of how to respond to ness’ unexpected demand. “why? a kiss won’t benefit you all, so wh–”

“says who?” he laughs, patting your head gently, “dare i say, i’m certain any man would be thrilled to have the opportunity to share a kiss with the princess, hm?”

“...i…” what you feel for this man is unlike anything you have ever felt before– your racing heart, the warmth spreading across your cheeks, the sudden consciousness of your own appearance– they’re all sensations you remember your palace nanny describing in fairy tale books, sensations you thought were only for the characters of the novel. you once dismissed those feelings as mere fantasies, but now you couldn’t deny it any longer, “ness, it’ll be my first kiss,” you gaze deeply into his magenta-coloured eyes, looking for assurance, “make it good.”

grinning playfully, he tenderly rests his palm against your cheek, pulling you in closer by your waist, “your wish is my command, princess,” he murmurs softly before pressing his lips affectionately against yours. his lips felt distant, yet strangely familiar, as if you had not just met this man a few minutes ago. your arms instinctively find their way around his neck, pulling him even closer until your chests were pressed together.

you still vividly remember the day you granted his request– the day his hand guided you towards the enchanted tree of healing and extended its branch to you. it’s been three years since that encounter, yet you still find yourself gazing out of the window of your palace chambers, yearning for the day when fate would reunite you once more.

• Ness is completely yours to break, to use, to control and manipulate like a stupid puppet. Tell him what to eat, to drink, to wear and he'll comply so long as you let him lay his head on your lap and call him your good boy.

• If you resist him till the very end, chances are his patience are running so very thin.

The cover for volume 20 of Blue Lock does look very interesting; we’ve already had Kaiser, so it’s not that much of a surprise to see Ness too.

It’s interesting to note how his chain is made from solid metal though, unlike Kaiser’s and the blue roses all around him certainly signify his link to the above mentioned. Coupled with the sword-shaped letter “T” on his chest, he reminds me of a knight or maybe the legendary sword in stone Excalibur? 🤔

That may be a bit much though, since Kaiser ain’t no Prince Arthur!!😂😂

i received this ask and decided to write this entire thing through a caffeine-powered fever dream. may have gone a little overboard. please pray for both your sanity and mine. thank you anon for your strong sense of imagination (or delusion, whichever you prefer.)

nagi lifts the hem of his shirt to wipe the sweat off his face, and you accidentally (or not so accidentally) get a good look at the droplets running down his abs and v-line. he also does the doorway lean while waiting for you to get ready. since he's so tall, he puts his one arm up on the top of the door frame while scrolling through his phone. when he feels drained of energy, he clings to you like a koala, face buried into the crook of your neck.

rin pushes his hair back when his bangs get in the way, and it shows off his ridiculously sharp side profile. sometimes you have to pause mid-conversation because the direct eye contact gets too intense. he has the brightest turquoise eyes in existence, and they stare right into your soul. pair that with the height difference and him towering over you. hang onto your ovaries because this man is about to snatch them. if isagi or sae are anywhere remotely close within your vicinity, he will personally drag your chair closer over to him. you know, the whole nick jonas chair pull thing? he also unintentionally clenches his jaw when pissed, the vein popping out and everything.

barou is polite to his elders. he holds the door open for others. he tips extra at restaurants. he is kind to service workers. he's just a gentleman overall even though he likes to act tough. he rolls up his sleeves while cleaning or cutting up vegetables, and you can see the veins bulging in his forearms. wears those form-fitting aprons where you can see the outline of his waist and the muscles in his back. he is not immune to raging pit bull moments, but he will calm down immediately when you ask him to.

kaiser requires physical touch to function. all concept of personal boundaries goes poof in his little ego-driven brain. he holds your chin so you look up at him while he's talking. also has that husky growl when he wakes up in the morning. he speaks german. what else is more attractive than that? if you stroke his ego, he will puff his chest out like an emperor penguin and flash that movie star smile. does not slow down his pace for you, and will laugh at your expense when you trip in heels and fall. but then he feels guilty about it and begrudgingly picks you up and carries you home. however, before that he will make you swear on everything holy to never tell isagi about his moment of weakness. (tbh kaiser is a menace and has some serious self-esteem issues. pls avoid dating a man like him in real life until he is fully mature. i still love him tho.)

reo mansplains but not in the condescending way. he does so in the "omg i'm so excited to finally get to share something with you and you're never going to believe it" sort of way. rambles on and on about his interests and gets that little glint in his eye when he's passionate about something. also not sure if this counts but he gets extremely depressed when you don't message him back within five minutes. what do you mean you were busy? he was out here dying from a literal famine. he needs your affection to survive. last but not least, he is good at styling. he knows what colors work best for you, and he will put together three new looks for you in record time.

hiori dreams that you left him for good and wakes up crying with his arms around you. will refuse to let you leave the bed even if it is just to get a glass of water. his rare moments of emotional vulnerability are what gets to you.

shidou does not condone any of your bad decisions. you want to get shit-faced and party until early morning? no complaints from him. you want to wear sexy outfits to the club? say less because he's about to enjoy the view and knock out the front teeth of every guy who dares to ogle you. i don't know if this qualifies as being attractive, but he would never be the controlling type. you can dress and act however you want. unfortunately for you though, this is also a textbook case of the blind leading the blind. if you get horrendously hungover, so does he. if you get pulled over, he's going to be too blackout drunk to even comprehend the officer's words. you can count on him for a good time, but not anything else. do not take any of his advice at face value.

oliver likes to show you off even if he doesn't notice it himself. any talk with his team, and he will find a way to make the entire conversation about you. at this point, the entire u-20 team is done with him. they placed bets that you two wouldn't last more than a month due to his philandering reputation, but the universe seems to think otherwise because you and oliver hit the six-month mark and are still going strong.

ness guards your drink with an unnecessary amount of protection. while you left to go use the restroom, he was looking left and right, and the hairs on the back of his neck were prickling every time someone even came close to your cup. he also shoos away any person who opens their mouth while standing next to your drink because apparently the condensation from their breath could be dangerous. definitely covers your cup with both hands even if it has a lid. no suspicious shit is happening on his watch.

yukimiya is well-read, and he wears glasses. he has a copy of every single classic out there in existence and will fangirl along with you over your virginia woolf collection. he was written by a woman with two cats and a wine glass. not much else to say.

loki absolutely clears the entire carnival/arcade game. you want that giant teddy bear that costs over three hundred ticket points? say less because he's about to win the whole damn pot. of all characters, i would say he's one of the only green flags. like celery green.

isagi always looks for you when he enters the room. intentionally or not, he always seeks your presence. if someone says a funny joke, he turns to you to see if you're laughing or not. also does that somewhat creepy stare thing where he just looks at you quietly while you do mundane tasks. internally he is screaming cus what do you mean you actually like him?

chigiri gives you that thankful little smile whenever you stand up for him. i feel like people don't understand how goofy he can get as he's canonically good at doing impressions/impersonations. also has the prettiest laugh. if he ever cuts his hair, i think i'm going to get a nosebleed.

noa unconsciously says yes to every question you ask of him. he'd be giving bastard münchen a hard time (and denying isagi's requests) but then immediately once you come over, he's automatically acquiescing to everything you say. the rest of the team is low-key shocked you can win him over so easily. when they confront him about it, he just shrugs and goes "y/n is always right."

kurona's entire existence is attractive. he's just perfect. nothing is ever wrong with him. will let you check out his shark teeth and lightly pokes your finger to leave an imprint. hopefully you'll always remember him that way. he's also quiet so he will listen to everything you say and give ample weight to your words.

sae is my baby girl so he gets a whole section dedicated to himself:

absentmindedly plays with your hair. when you're sleeping in his lap, he'll gently run his fingers along your scalp. sometimes in the morning when you're sitting up on the edge of your bed to do your makeup, he'll come up from behind you and brush back your hair. might also press a kiss to the back of your neck.

helps you put on your face mask. when he's shopping, he will buy you lotion along with his own skincare products. says that it was just a convenient store run but you know he personally made sure to get you the best quality ones.

this is canon because i said so: when he gets out of the shower, he slings the towel over his neck or his shoulder. he also involuntarily flexes his biceps when he bends down to grab something. has the world's most defined deltoids.

when you're stuck in large crowds at the airport, he puts his hand in your back pocket to keep you two from getting separated. if the TSA pat-down is anywhere too personal for his liking, he will openly glare at the officer once you've passed the security checkpoint.

sae: when he would move too much in his sleep, uncomfortable. so his hand unintentionally keeps searching to embrace you, it was oddly empty, cold. he figured maybe you were in the bathroom? so his teal eyes kept staring patiently at the door, waiting for you to come back so he can cuddle you to sleep already. when you take too long he just realized that you weren't even here to began with. 一ends up hugging a billow to sleep, definitely not a makeshift of you一

reo: accidentally ordered for two, he doesn't even grasp what he had said, it was like a muscle memory he can't erase. only realized when the food came, and it was your favorite alongside. cried himself to sleep while hugging a picture of you that night.

rin: had a bone-chilling nightmare, the second he wakes up sweaty and cold he keeps mumbling your name and heedlessly reaching for you to clasp. soon realized he was actually alone, you weren't there to clutch him out of the cold, harsh world, to bring his heart back to it natural beating. so he sleeps alone that night, he wakes up with a wet billow the next morning for some reason.

nagi: holds the door, realizes you're not even there. kept his eyes clung at what was supposed to be your spot for a while, as if you'll magically appear again and give him a thankful peck for being a gentleman like you always used to. that never happened. stays quiet the rest of the night, probably thinking about something. he never got to tell you that he actually does those 'gentlemanly' stuff just because he'd rather feel your lips against his frigid skin where his heart would bloom ever so lovingly.

chigiri: accidentally bought a shampoo you used to love, since the stores keeps running out of it and that'll ruin your whole week and most importantly: you'd be sad with a sulk glued to your face, he never found a joy in seeing you upset, so he thought he'd surprise you by it. it was a sucker punch when he realized that you two no longer lived together. maybe he used your shampoo once, maybe twice. it was just because he ran out of his, not because he'd be reminded by scent of your hair, where he uses to kiss the most..

Ness has always put a lot of effort into your relationship. Really, a lot. It's as if he thinks of you 24/7. He wants to show you how much he loves you in everything he does. He dedicates so much only to you.

And as much as you love him and appreciate his efforts, you can't stand to see how he neglects himself because of that. He's lost too much sleep over writing love letters, he forgot to eat too many times because he was on a phone call with you, and so much more.

There's no need for him to put as much effort into the relationship as he does. You've never given him a reason to be like this. You've always appreciated his love and efforts and even told him multiple times that he can back down a little to take care of himself.

But Ness always insists he has to put in so much effort for you. He doesn't tell you about it, but he's genuiely scared you'll leave him if he doesn't dedicate everything he does to you. He can barely put his energy into anything else because he's so afraid to not get your support in it simply because it doesn't involve you. He even gets afraid you don't care about his soccer career and only pretend to you do.

Of course, everything about this in Ness' head is incredibly irrational. You love him and everything he does, no matter if it's dedicated to you or not. You support him in everything, especially in soccer. But the more the relationship progresses, the more you notice how he neglects himself.

And the final straw is when he skips soccer practice to take you out on a surprise date.

The thought behind it might seem romantic. He sacrifices something that he loves to spend time with the person the loves. But to you, it's too much. It's way too much. You know how much he loves soccer and how he would NEVER in his life skip a practice for anything else. Him doing it for you is too much. Too much sacrifice.

"Alexis..." Hearing you say his name instead of a nickname sounds so strange to him, making him afraid even more. You notice how tense he is when you wrap your arm around his shoulder to pull him a bit closer to yourself.

"Alexis," you repeat his name while looking into his eyes, "You know how much I love you, right?"

Ness loves your eyes and he loves looking at them, but right now he can barely hold eye contact and looks down on your lap instead. He opens his mouth to answer, but quickly notices there are no words in his throat so he nods instead.

You give him a soft smile and a gentle kiss on the cheek before you continue talking.

"Because I love you so so much, I really don't want you to skip anything soccer related just to spend time with me, okay? We get plenty of time together already."

Ness listens to what you say, but has a hard time actually processing it to properly respond something, so instead he asks: "Are you mad at me?" despite how nothing about you could currently imply and anger. But it's just his irrational thoughts looking for answers.

"I'm not mad", you reassure him with another kiss on the cheek, which makes his lips turn into a weak smile for a moment, "I'm not disappointed either," you continue while wrapping your other arm around him, "It's just... I'm so afraid about you losing yourself..."

"What?" Ness looks into your eyes with a bit of shock. "What do you mean?"

"You've been neglecting yourself way too much just for me and you-"

Ness is quick to interrupt you. "I'm not neglecting myself, I'm just... uh..."

The realization hits him.

"You lose too much sleep to write love letters, you forget to eat sometimes because you talk to me on the phone... and now you even skipped soccer practice to be with me. You are neglecting yourself... It's not the only thing but-" You stop yourself and take a deep breath to avoid breaking out in tears because this situation is making you so emotional, "You're giving me way too much of you."

"But isn't that part of a relationship? Giving yourselves to each other?" Ness is starting to avoid eye contact again. You can see him holding back tears just as much as you are.

"Yes but... my Angel, you still need the parts that make you yourself. If you neglect everything else besides me... I hate to say this but-" The tears start running down your cheeks, "If you let go of the things you love... If you lose yourself... That wouldn't make you the person I love anymore..."

And with this, Ness starts crying as well. He's cried once in front of you already and he hated himself for it afterwards, but he can't hold himself back anymore.

He opens his mouth to say something, but the only sounds leaving him are sobs as you pull him closer to hug him tighter. At the same time, you're trying to find the right words to continue talking because you feel like what you just said was a bit too painful - although it was the truth. But just like Ness, you can't manage to get any words out of your mouth. It's as if they get stuck in your throat.

So there you sit together in each other's arms. Crying together while you feel almost the same pain. And even though it's such a painful moment, you can feel how it bonds you and Ness even closer.

"I don't want to lose myself either..." Ness says between his sobs. "I'm just... I've always been so... I..."

"Take your time..." You gently stroke his hair as he tries to find the right words.

"I'm so used to dedicating all of myself to someone... and I'm so used to..." His words get stuck in his sobs once again.

Luckily, by now you've calmed yourself enough to speak clearly again.

"It's because of Kaiser, isn't it?"

Your words hit Ness like a truck. He always knew that's where his behaviour comes from, but never truly realized it until now that he's heard someone else say these words.

"It's because Kaiser never truly appreciates your efforts and doesn't care for you as a person, isn't it?"

Ness nods in response, and immediately goes on by saying: "Liebling, I'm sorry I-" But you interrupt him as soon as you hear him saying he's sorry.

"Don't apologize. It's not your fault." You grab his shoulders and gently push him a bit away from your own body so you can look right into his eyes. "I would never treat you like Kaiser does. I... I love you so much. Don't lose yourself for me, okay? I'm not everything in your life I'm just... a part of it. Like you're part of my life. A big part. A really important part. And that's exactly why I can't have you neglecting what you love. I need to see you thriving on everything you enjoy, my sweet Angel..."

Ness doesn't know what to answer, he just looks at you with so much love in his eyes as his hands travel up to your face to gently cup your cheeks so he can pull you into a kiss.

"Thank you so much, Liebling..." Ness whispers after you pull apart from the kiss, but your lips are still only a few centimetres apart. "I'll be myself for you... for us..." He looks into your eyes before he finishes his sentence. "For myself..."
