That loaf Vasco art is amazing, and to me it only needs a sweaty and confused Machete waking up. It was a dream, and honestly a good one. Mind making pleasant associations.

I must admit I love all your monastic OCs, but I'm particularly intrigued by the design of the Abbe's coiffe. Is there any magic in this AU? What happened to Clomonde's eye?

Also... Fibert looks very cute. Who is more feral between him and Nanthilde?

There is magic in that world yes ! It's fairly limited ; it's some sort of divination magic based on linguistics. Their liturgical language can't like, summon demons or make fireballs, but it can grant images and visions of hidden truths (?) and answer questions if you're like, really good at grammar.

The Abbé's coiffe is inspired by 15th century hats and it's the headwear for abbots. I think it's common for noblemen of Massà to veil and hide their faces anyway, but the abbot probably has some type of scarring that he's obscuring somewhat.

Clomonde's eye is just like that, probably since childhood. I think it's just some type of strabism. Regular human uniqueness.

Fibert and Nanthilde are siblings and Nanthilde is definitely the chaos agent here. I'm not sure where she'll fit in the story ; she's more of a background presence for now, but I see her as some sort of feral kitten running around.

31. tell us about one of your characters who’s an absolute joy to write

i haven't written him in a while but i love writing Tormund Giantsbane so much. i like to imagine him as a poetic but salt of the earth voice. he doesn't think of himself as a poet, he just sees the world in a beautiful but real way. i just reread a bit of WIP from his POV that reminded me of that :)

arguable, because i don't think it's that far out, but i started a WIP last year where Anakin finds out he's his own father

Day 7

My first time posting anything on this site, here goes nothing:

The blue lady is @bluedaddysgirl 's OC grown up Meeyan Bane from the Dad Bane AU on AO3.

I gave her a blaster because every bounty hunter needs one and a knife as callback to the second chapter, where she saves his life by stabbing some lowlife. Her lekku are protected with metal pieces that disengange if an enemy grabs them and her eyes are covered with goggles that totally dont look like her dad's eyes ;) Her suit turned out pretty similar to mandalorian armour, but wasnt actually inspired by it. The only metal pieces on her body are the on her chest, shoulders, knees and boots. Everything else is leather in different thickness to allow for maximum agility while also protecting her vitals.

I know there are already designs for her, this is just my take :)

The lady behind her is grown up Katooni from the Ilum arc. She is a tholotian Jedi youngling who forms an unlikely bond with Hondo Ohnaka. Ive seen the idea around, that she joins his pirate gang after Order 66 and wanted to design her.

She is covering her head tendrils to pass as human (and because I thought, that sw could use some more characters with head wraps).

Her outfit is heavily inspired by Hondo's and Captain Jack Sparrow. She cant use lightsabers anymore, but an electro staff is a compromise at least.

Basically, her adoptive dads and different career show directly in their outfits.

Had to take photos an my crappy phone and slap filters on them to bring out at least some colors xD

in light of that last ask, would you ever consider drawing Machete enjoying a little treat? Maybe licking cream off his snoot after devouring a sweet, or laughing at something unexpectedly silly, or being caught up in the beauty of something and showing some wonder...? Glimpse of happy Machete

(which, as an angst writer, is also a large part of how to make the bad stuff hit. Rip that happiness away, make a smile too ephemeral, etc. Joy as the most fragile of things, that can't be pursued and comes on its own terms...)

I do, in fact, have a bunch of happy/content/uncharacteristically genuine Machete pieces underway. If I can keep up this surge of motivation I've been having during the past five weeks or so, you should see them soon.

Actually writing... Ajaksdlfjsdlkjfsadk no really, I keep starting stuff and not finishing it. Also, I never quite manage to get the feels right? Somehow I just can't seem to manage to ramp them up to 100% like other fic writers do it.

If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose?

Any fic that would make Luke Skywalker canon gay and trans 😂 I've got some of those. Or any fic that would make Cassian canon bi/pan and also trans. Or any fic that would make Leia canon aromantic. Or any fic that would actually put Obi-Wan's bisexuality on screen, or-

If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?

I don't read a lot of fic by other people so like, uh. None? Maybe I would write remixes of some smut fics if there ever was a fandom event like that (:

I think you're misinterpreting my words as some attempt to refute you. We're all seeing it differently : yes, that's why I reblogged with how I see it. That's what you do when you bounce your ideas on a meta post. You add your own or state how you see it differently. It's not trying to disprove things but to add onto it. Even if I disagree it's not an attack and I'm not suggesting she can't have a story besides what the wiki tells us.

Literally the only part where I disagree is about the job of chief of a small task force somehow not knowing who he's taking to battle. Unless she snuck in, which is a valid fic storyline or hc, but then again he has a chain of command that is working. Everything else is thoughtful and interesting, and even her presence or not can be argued (politely, which I hope you see I was doing. I wasn't dissing you or mocking)

Okay, I’m sorry for anything feeling hostile or perceiving anything as hostile towards you or myself. In no way was I trying to say you were doing anything more than you were. The only part I read as you steeped in stone was the comment about Paz and I stated why that was as I saw it.

What made you ship it? I used to only be interested in the platonic version of the relationship but seeing all the amazing content made me ship it myself.

What are your favorite things about the ship? I really love the angst surrounding the two, seriously messes me up. The idea of reconciliation between them is just something I can't ignore. Also, two hot dads.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? Not really, no.

Why don’t you ship it? It's a very nice but it just doesn't really click the right space for me.

What would have made you like it? Not sure really. Maybe I just gotta get exposed to it more often.

Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it? It's a very interesting dynamic and I do wish Viktor and Silco actually met in the show.
